Not to be overshadowed by games like Uncharted: The Lost Legacy and The Last of Us: Part 2, Sony took it upon themselves to finally reveal the long awaited Playstation sequel that everyone’s been waiting for! That of course is Knack 2knack-2

For those who don’t know, Knack was an original launch title for the PS4, and is one of the greatest video games ever made (Why else would they credit Creator Mark Cerny for it at The Game Awards?). The announcement during PSX this year left fans all across the world speechless at the reveal trailer. They could have just ended the show right there and everyone would have been happy. While there is no release outside a generic 2017 window, Knack 2 has now become the show’s most highly anticipated game. Check out the trailer below and tell us what you think of this speechless trailer.

Awwww yeah, it’s happening!

After 3 years, of asking and speculation, 2013 critical darling The Last of Us is finally getting its sequel. Revealed at PSX 2016 this past weekend, the trailer and game take place a couple of years after the original Last of Us and features a now 19 year old Ellie who has been hardened and is now seeking revenge by wanting to kill everyone who poses a threat to her. What exactly happened to cause this? We don’t know! Naughty Dog hasn’t provided anything else, so expect the game to not release anytime in the next year or 2. Are you excited for this sequel? Do you think they should have continued this series? Watch the reveal trailer and tell us below!

Just when you thought you were done with Uncharted 4, they pull you back in!

This past weekend at PSX, Sony kicked off their press conference with a demo for Uncharted 4‘s new story DLC! Titled The Lost Legacy, The story will revolve around Chloe, one of the main characters from Uncharted 2 & 3, as we follow her story along with newly introduced Uncharted 4 character Nadine. Naughty Dog said that while this will be DLC for U4 that they still want this to feel different from the game. If fans bought the Uncharted 4 digital deluxe or explorers pack, then they’ll receive The Lost Legacy for free. Both Versions will be available for purchase until December 13th.

What do you think about this news? Do you want to see more Uncharted 4 DLC, or just leave it as be? Watch the gameplay video and tell us in the comments below!

Once upon a time back in the Year of 1998, there was a small little indie film being developed by a seemingly no name director. This man was Tim Burton, and his film was Batman.

In that film, Everyone’s favorite cloud city smuggler Billy Dee Williams played soon to be two face Harvey Dent. Except, it never happened. Williams never got the chance to play Two Face due to the failure of its 1992 sequel Batman Returns. That’s when Joel Schumacher took over, and the dark era Batman movies started. Williams was replaced with Tommy Lee Jones, and the rest is history. Poor Lando never got his chance. Until now.

A couple of months ago, some Lego Batman movie toy sets were leaked that showed off a Two Face that looked oddly similar to Williams portrayal of the character. Fans were curious, but didn’t say much about it until just recently. When asked if Williams was finally going to be able to play the iconic Batman villain, Director Chris McKay had this to say.

billy-dee-two-face-confirmed

Even though this probably won’t amount to much than just a cameo, this is still pretty damn awesome. What do you think about this new news? Would you have casted Two Face differently? Let us know in the comments! The Lego Batman Movie will be released on February 10th.

The Game Awards 2016 are only 2 days away, and the anticipation for it is reaching a high.

Yesterday, show host Geoff Keighly announced that we’ll be seeing brand new footage of the highly anticipated Zelda: Breath of the Wild for Wii U and Switch during the ceremony. If you’re interested, The Game Awards will be airing on December 1st at 6:00 PM PST and is advertised as a celebration of all things gaming. Are you excited for more footage of Zelda? What world premieres are you hoping to see? Tell us in the comments below!

Earlier this year it was announced that Nintendo would be partnering with Universal Studios in order to create new rides and lands for their parks.

While originally planned for Universal Hollywood and Florida, it seems like their vision for the project has expanded. The video below talks a bit about what both companies are planning on contributing to the deal, as well as the new announcement that this new area will now be coming to all 3 Universal locations! Nintendo has promised even more details soon, but in the meantime, it’s nice to dream. What are your thoughts on the announcement video? Tell us in the comments below.

Great news for Alien fans! (No, not the Roswell ones.)

Fox has just released a brand new poster for the highly anticipated horror sci-fi film, Alien Covenant. A sequel to the 2012 prequel Prometheus, which seemed to receive a lukewarm reception with most Alien fans. Originally planned to release October 6th, 2017, Fox has decided to change the films release date. . . . . . .to sooner! Yes, Alien Covenant will now be releasing  on May 19th. 5 whole months months ahead of its original release! To help fans get through the next couple of months, the studio was kind enough to release a teaser poster with a familiar friend we’ve all come to know and love. Check it out below and tell us in the comments what you think about it!

Xbox’s last month of Games with Gold for 2016 is going out in style.

During the whole Month of December, Xbox One users will be able to download the now defunct United Front Studios open world adventure game Sleeping Dogs. Then, from December 16th through January 15th, One users can download the horror game hit Outlast, and what’s more scarier than Mid January? 360 users fret not, as you also have some cool games coming your way. From December 1st through the 15th you’ll be able to play Ubisofts odd multicolored platform game Outland. Finally, from December 16th through the 31st, users will be able to take to the streets in Burnout Paradise. (No crash mode, but hey! It’s still Burnout.)

Remember Lego CIty Undercover? No?  Well, I don’t blame you.

The 2013 Wii U game came out to not much fanfare, and as a result fell through the cracks and faded from peoples minds. It was essentially a Lego version of Grand Theft Auto with a big open world to explore, a huge amount of cars to drive, and multiple different disguises to wear. It’s one of the most overlooked Wii U games, and that’s why Lego and WB are giving it a second chance as they just announced that the game will be making its way to PS4, Xbox One, PC, and even Nintendo Switch in Spring of 2017.

This is a great release date as there’s a strong chance this game will be part of the Nintendo Switch Launch come its release. What are your thoughts on this announcement? What system are you planning on buying it for? Did you ever play the original Wii U version? Tell us in the comments below!

For those chomping at the bit for its release, We’ve gotten a handful of new news to help tide you over for the long awaited sequel to the 2013 film Pacific Rim, Pacific Rim Maelstrom.

Yesterday, The Daily Telegraph reported that Star Wars star John Boyega was on set during the films shooting all the way in Sydney Australia. The images aren’t groundbreaking, but they are pretty cool as one of them has Boyega running through what looks like a run down town.

pacific-rim-boyega

In other news, Chinese actor Zhang Jin has joined the fight amongst other Chinese stars including Wesley Wong, Qian Yong Chen, and others. Jin has been in numerous Chinese films such as The Grandmaster, IP Man 3, and more! Pacific Rim Maelstrom will be directed by Steven S. DeKnight and is on track to be released on February 23rd, 2018 (although we would be fine if you decided to release it earlier. Nudge nudge.).

Ever since they revealed the game a year ago at E3 2015, Rare has been non stop hard at work trying to polish off their newest creation, Sea of Thieves.

They’ve been pretty good with helping keep fans in the loop with their podcast, short haul videos, and inn side stories. One of the biggest things about the game that people want out of it is just to play the game itself so they can experience all the great stuff they’ve heard from E3 and Gamescom. Well, that time has finally come. Today, Rare launched the Sea of Thieves Insider Program Which will allow fans to sign up in order to help shape the game and even play early test builds.

The only catch to this is that you have to be 18 and have an XBL gamertag, but other than that you’re good! Check out the video below for more info, and sign up for the program right here. Sea of Thieves has no release date, but is planned on releasing for Xbox One and Windows 10.

The Cars series isn’t Pixars strongest brand when it comes to movies.

While it’s merchandise selling skills are legendary, the movies always seem to come up short and seem to lack the imagination of other Pixar films. In fact most people think the Cars films were the first time where Pixar really didn’t put as much effort into this project as their others. Well, after the nightmarish car crash that was Cars 2, Pixar sets out to redeem themselves and the series with Cars 3, and it actually doesn’t look that bad.cars-3

The teaser shows Lightning Mcqueen (Owen Wilson) taking a sharp turn and then flying through the air. He’s also caught a bit on fire. The teaser ends with the tagline “Everything will change”. Even if the film goes back to being pretty mediocre next trailer, The visuals in this movie are freaking gorgeous. Check out the trailer below, and make sure to tell us what you think of the trailer in the comments.

Remember Swapnote for the Nintendo 3DS? Unless you had a 3DS from 2011 to 2013, you probably don’t.

Swapnote was a messaging application for the 3DS that let you send customized postcards in 3D to you and your friends. Kind of like how pen pals swap letters in between each other. The game was incredibly popular until Nintendo forcefully shut down the service 3 years ago due to people abusing the system’s camera functionality to send dick pics to each other. Well now Nintendo has (poorly) decided to give us another chance with its spiritual successor, Swapdoodle!swapdoodle

Swapdoodle is incredible similar to Swapnote, but does have some tweaks and changes here and there. For starters, the app is now more focused on a more artistic aspect of drawing as there is a much more diverse set of colors and line thickness. You can also purchase drawing lessons from an in game shop using real money and learn how to draw Nintendo characters while also grabbing some pretty cool stationary also. Check out the trailer below for the full details! What do you think of this comeback? Tell us in the comments below!

Hope your ready for the return of everyone’s favorite giant gorilla!

No, not Donkey Kong (good guess though), but King freaking Kong. A new trailer for the highly anticipated prequel Kong: Skull Island was just shown off last night during Jimmy Kimmel. (Do people still watch late night shows aside from some of the excerpts online?) The film has a slightly lighter tone than the previous one, but that doesn’t stop it from being pretty intense and exhilarating at some parts. Also, they actually show off Kong in all his glory! That’s more screen time than the new Godzilla had, right? Check out the trailer below! Are you excited for this film? Comment below and let us know!

This is pretty out of left field.

Earlier this morning, Nintendo announced a partnership between them and the company Scrap to create an escape room based off of The Legend of Zelda. The escape room will be titled Defenders of the Triforce and looks to be mostly inspired by Ocarina of Time. Players will get the chance to interact with familiar characters, and also get the chance to use many of the items from the game series (Come on Tingle Tuner!). The tour begins January 31st and will tour a number of cities such as San Fransisco, L.A, Phoenix, San Diego, and more! Tickets can be found here if they’re not already sold out. Are you excited for this escape room? Are you planning on going? Tell us in the comments below!

Awww yeah baby!

Out of nowhere an hour ago, Blizzard just released an almost 10GB Patch for Overwatch onto Xbox One, PS4, and PC that finally makes Sombra, arcade mode, and more live! Sombra is pretty self explanatory by now, but arcade mode is a brand new mode where you can play specific special brawls from a select playlist like Lucioball and Junkenstein’s Revenge! There’s also a brand new map by the name of Ecopoint: Antarctica. Among other things are Pharah’s ability to fly forever, some changes and tweaks to Zarya, and more! Check out the full patch list right here! What are you planning on trying out first in this update? Tell us in the comments below!

With the Nintendo Switch launching in March, everyone is eager to buy the system, especially for Zelda Breath of the Wild, which has been rumored as a launch title for so long now that most people have just accepted it. Sadly, our trip to Hyrule might be a bit longer than we expected.

A couple of days ago Emily Rogers reported that Zelda Breath of the Wild was facing localization issues due to the gigantic size of the game. Rogers stated that while the game should be fully localized by December, Nintendo will still need at least 4-6 months for testing the game as it’s just that big. She also reported that the Switch version of the game runs much smoother and faster than the Wii U version, but in the end this is all just speculation. While not everyone was so quick to believe Rogers, things got a bit more real when Eurogamer came out and confirmed everything that she had said.botwWhile this is a hard blow to the launch of the Nintendo Switch, It’s not all doom and gloom. The console is still rumored to launch with an upgraded and expanded port of Mario Kart 8, as well as the possibility of the next 3D Mario game being ready at launch. What are your thoughts on this possible delay? Which version of Breath of the Wild will you be picking up? Tell us in the comments below!

After a couple of months of silence, Nintendo has finally revealed the date and price for Super Mario Run.

The company announced that the game will be launching on December 15th for a limited time on the Apple app store. Android still has no release date. We do know the price now know. The initial trial of the game will be free, but afterwards you’ll have to pay $10 for a full unlock. Not everything has been expanded on (modes, android release, etc), but Nintendo is teasing more news about the game soon. Are you excited for Super Mario Run? Tell us in the comments below!

Ever since NBCUniversal’s acquisition of Dreamworks Animation back in April, the parent company hasn’t done much to change the animation company’s line-up that much, until now.

According to Variety, Universal Pictures Chairman Donna Langley met with the studio last week to pull the plug on the highly anticipated project The Croods 2. Originally aiming for a release in 2018, The Croods 2 would have been a follow up to 2013’s animation hit The Croods. The film was directed by Chris Sanders (same director of Lilo & Stitch, and How to Train Your Dragon) and centered around a caveman family traversing a new land after their home get’s destroyed. Nicolas Cage was also the star, and that alone makes the movie a 10/10.

What are your thoughts on the cancellation of the film? What’s your favorite Dreamworks Animation film? Tell us in the comments below!

Remember Miitomo? For about a month in March, Nintendo’s very first mobile game swept IOS and Android devices by storm. Then it just died, but why?

The biggest reason was mostly due to the fact that the game was very basic and nothing more than a glorified question simulator. Sure it was fun the first couple of times to answer some question, hear your opponents answers, and even make your Mii curse up a storm, but eventually the novelty wore off and the game failed to really incentivize players to keep the app on their devices. Now with a little over 10,000,00 downloads, Nintendo is now adding a “big” update to the game in order to win people back. Is it worth talking about, or should you just hit ignore? Let’s find out.Miitomo_forsite

At the core of Miitomo’s new update, there are 5 new features that are being  stressed. The first is the ability to now send private messages to your friends, and honestly, there is nothing interesting about this at all. It’s very underwhelming, and your better off just actually PM’ing your friend on Facebook Messenger or Discord if you want to talk to them. miitomo-update-1

Feature number 2 adds the feature to finally customize your own room. This feature even gives you the ability to hang custom posters in your room whether it be a Miifoto or any picture from off the internet. While this feature may sound miles better than the previous one, it still ends up being incredibly disappointing. Customization is limited to only wallpaper and flooring, and right now posters are only limited to one as so far there aren’t any means to unlock more. While there are some cool themed walls and floors you can get (Metroid Zero Mission, Super Mario Bros., Zelda Breath of the Wild.), those are the only ones worth while as the other walls and floors just seem very bland and boring. miitomo-update-2Feature 3 introduces a new location called Style Central. Here you can upload your current outfit for all to see online. You can even buy the outfits that other people are wearing if you like them (sometimes). While quite charming at first, immediately becomes a boring novelty. Sure at first it’s fun to see characters dressed up like Steven Universe, and Gravity Falls, but after about a minute of exploring, you’ll quickly grow tired of the endless supply of Undertale and Steven Universe Characters ( I mean I love Steven Universe, but come on guys there’s just too much there).

Oh, and about being able to buy other outfits. I said sometimes, because there will be times when you can’t buy a certain item due to it only being available in Miitomo Drop. So you either have to spend Coins/Money on multiple tries, or worse, wait for that event to go back into the minigame. Another interesting idea, but poorly executed.miitomo-update-3

Feature 4 introduces Answer Central, which is just as boring as it sounds. All you do here is look at randomly chosen answers from other peoples randomly chosen questions. There honestly nothing to talk about here. You’re just looking at random peoples answers. It’s even more boring when half of the answers are just blindly praising Nintendo for for making the app. You can get an interesting answer, but they are few and far between.miitomo-update-4

The 5th and final “feature” to the game comes in the form of Mii sidekicks. With this, you can now make multiple Mii’s which can now be used to send private messages, be sent to Style Central, and even get their own room to customize. This is by far the most useless addition to the game since you’ve already been able to add more Mii’s to your game by importing QR codes. It feels like an afterthought. It’s as if they really wanted to boast 5 new features but couldn’t think of a good 5th one.miitomo-update-5

In the end, Miitomo fell victim to the fate of all mobile games. Hollow content with no incentive to continue playing, but it didn’t have to be this way. I believe that if they try hard enough, Nintendo could rule the mobile market with an iron fist. Now, with Super Mario Run just around the corner, here’s what their future mobile games can do to make sure they’re a success!smr

1: Make sure all features are fully fleshed out

I know I know. This sounds super weird and obvious, but hear me out. Miitomo’s biggest problem in my opinion is that the game has some really interesting ideas to it, but all the features feel unfinished. Room customization is cool, but only being able to change the walls and floor is pretty boring. Why can’t I choose what furniture appears in my place, and how come I can’t put a poster just in the middle of a wall? Nintendo, if you’re planning on having the mobile version of Animal Crossing just be some watered down version of Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer where all you do is move furniture and collectible figures, I implore you to not do that. No one wants to play that.animal-crossing-mobile

2. Use a variety of I.P’s, not just the current popular ones.

Nintendo has always had this bad habit of over exposing their I.P’s once they become popular. We saw this with both Animal Crossing and Fire Emblem. AC suffered the worst a very bare bones decorating sim that was Happy Home Designer, and an abysmally depressing microtransaction slog that was Amiibo Festival. After so much exposure in such a small amount of time, people begin to grow bored of the same I.P’s, which is why so many people were attracted to Splatoon a breath of fresh air. Maybe instead of using Fire Emblem, you could use Advanced Wars. Instead of Animal Crossing, try using the Donkey Kong Country characters! There are so many other characters you own that could breathe new life on mobile. Doodle Jump esque Ice Climbers game anyone?ice-climbers

3. Go paid, not Free to Play

Another suggestion that sounds insane, I know. While yes, a free app will initially attract more people to a game, the game will struggle with keeping those same people if they can’t get people to pay for in app purchases. While it seems like Super Mario Run will be a paid title, I think the smartest thing to do is keep future titles that way also. I know it was announced a couple of months ago that Animal Crossing and Fire Emblem which were originally scheduled to be paid games, ended up making the jump to F2P. I say switch back to the one time payment. If you can create a fire emblem experience on phones that’s just as good as the 3DS, and you’re not charging people $5 every time you want a fallen ally revived, word of mouth and positive buzz can sell the game alone! fire_emblem_awakening_gameplay

Yes, Nintendo may be struggling a bit in the mobile space right now, but I believe that by following this advice laid out for them, that they could truly rule over their own mobile empire. Only time will what happens, but here’s hoping for the best for the company I love.

Earlier this year, it was reported that Batman himself Michael Keaton will be joining the cast of Spider-Man Homecoming as a mystery character.

Rumor had it that Keaton would be playing spidey’s arch enemy The Vulture.  While there was still some speculation and hesitation around it, MCU head honcho Kevin Feige has confirmed the news himself.

In a Doctor Strange interview with The Toronto Sun, the publication asked him what cool things fans can expect in future films, and Feige dropped the bomb that Keaton’s vulture will be a fan favorite. What do you think of Michael Keaton as the vulture? Are you still excited for the film? Tell us in the comments below!

6 years ago a small animated super hero show premiered on Cartoon Network before being abruptly cancelled 3 years later. This show was Young Justice.

As a result of its cancellation, Fans spent 3 years begging and pleading for the series to brought back whether it be distributed via a TV network, or a digital means such as Netflix. Well, all those years of petitioning and dedication have finally payed off! DC and WB officially announced this morning that Young Justice will finally be getting its long awaited and deserved 3rd season. After 4 years of waiting, Blizzard are finally giving Diablo fans they want!

That’s right! This morning during Blizzcon opening ceremonies, they confirmed that the long awaited Necromancer class will finally be coming to the game sometime in 2017. Not only this, but they also revealed another thing heading into a future patch which is the inclusion of the original Diablo in Diablo 3. Called The Darkening of Tristram, this will be a free update available for testing next week (no concrete release yet.) The add on will  include original bosses, return to 8 directional movement, and much more! Are you excited for these updates? Are you still playing Diablo 3? Tell us in the comments below!

Well, this is an odd, but interesting announcement.

According to an exclusive from Deadline , Johnny Depp has officially signed on with Warner Bros. to co-star in the 2018 sequel to this years Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. While there are a couple of fans suggesting that Depp could be playing Grindlewald, another group of fans suggesting that he could in fact be playing a young Dumbledore instead. This may incite rage into some people, but honestly there is hope for Depp. While he hasn’t exactly been on a role with his more recent film appearances, people tend to forget that Depp really was a powerhouse actor.

An actors only as good as his Director, and that’s exactly what he needs, which is someone to keep him from going too overboard with his roles. Anyways, what do you think about the casting? Do you think this is a good idea? Tell us in the comments below!

This morning was the Animal Crossing direct for Animal Crossing New Leaf’s big update, and Nintendo has made one thing very clear. They really REALLY want you to buy their overstock of Animal Crossing Amiibo that no one bothers buying. Here’s how they plan on doing it!

– Once inside their RV you can chat with the villager, buy exclusive items with a new currency called  MEOW Coupons, and even convince them to move in.
-Meow bucks can be earned by completing constant challenges for your town
– You can now move your furniture like in everyone’s favorite 2015 house simulator Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer. Thus makes HHD completely useless
– New items like a Wii U and New 3DS can be found to unlock new minigames such as the Dessert Island Survival from Amiibo Festival and Animal Crossing Puzzle League!
– The update is available RIGHT NOW!!
– SO MUCH MORE!

Just when you thought things were looking up for DC and WB, everything comes tumbling down.

Dope and former Flash director Rick Famuyiwa has parted ways the company and film due to creative differences according to an article by The Hollywood Reporter. Whether  Famuyiwa left on his own accord or was forced out by WB & DC is yet to be known, but this poses a big problem for the upcoming speedster flick. Mostly because this film is supposed to start filming in March and they don’t even have a first draft of a script or a director now.flashNot only that, but main star Ezra Miller is extremely busy with other projects so making the March 2017 deadline doesn’t seem likely. Even more grim however is the prospect of a 2018 release is slowly sliding further and further away. God knows DC can’t rush the films production seeing as how they still have yet to make a film that satisfies both critics and fans (or even functions as an actual movie.) What do you think?  Who do you think should direct The Flash now? Tell us in the comments below!

Games leak in the most mysterious ways.

According to Reddit user Tripleh280, He was on his morning subway in Montreal Quebec when he just so happened to notice that the guy next to him had a document open for the next Tomb Raider game entitled Shadow of the Tomb Raider.  Now, this could easily be fake or have its named changed later, but this title and scenario make sense as it fits the naming scheme of the current games going on, but also that Jason Schreier from Kotaku has confirmed with one of his anonymous sources that the name is indeed true. What do you think of the name? Have you been enjoying the new Tomb Raider games? Tell us in the comments!

Shadow of the Tomb Raider

Earlier this year, legendary video game website Gametrailers.com closed its doors.

With that, a lot of well known shows such as The Final Bosman, Huber Hype, and more were no longer. One of the most popular out of them was a show called Pop Fiction. Created by Michael Damiani, Pop Fiction centered around tackling very popular video game myths and putting them to the test. The show became incredibly popular and many were sad to see it go.

Now going 8 months strong, Easy Allies is the spiritual Successor to GT and features a ton of successor shows (Huber Syndrome instead of Huber Hype, and Easy Update instead of Mandatory Update.) This is no exception to Pop Fiction, as back in may we got its spiritual sequel, Game Sleuth. The first episode based off of the running man from Ocarina of Time.

The episode today though has nothing to do with Zelda. Instead, they examine the amazing Phenomenon of Bigfoot being in GTA V. Is it real? Is it fake? WHY DO I HAVE THE SUDDEN URGE TO BUY A COPY OF GTA V!?! Everything will be revealed in the video below. What are your thoughts on the video? What gaming myths do you hope they cover in the future. Tell us below in the comments!
