Nintendo hasn’t been the best these past couple of years when it comes to marketing.

This is mostly due to the fact that they constantly tried chasing the casual market after the success of the Wii to very little success. Now with the switch, Nintendo hasn’t completely left the casual market down and out, but they have taken a bigger focus to the core gamer. This can mostly be seen in the newest Nintendo Switch trailer which will actually be playing during the Superbowl! Believe it or not, this is Nintendo’s first foray into Superbowl commercials (Pokemon 20 was Pokemon Company). The trailer features your average Joe Schmoe the 3rd waking up and doing his daily routine, but also playing Breath of the Wild alongside it. The music accompaniment is nice, but not using Will Smith’s Switch is a tad disappointing (you still have time to right that wrong Nintendo.)

What do you think of the trailer? Tell us in the comments below, and also check out the extended commercial right here.

Ever since the death of Satoru Iwata 2 years ago, the tribute and appreciation for a founder/CEO of a company dying hasn’t been that big, but it just got a bit bigger again.

Masaya Nakamura, the founder of Namco and most often credited as the creator of Pac-Man (right beside Toru Iwatani) has sadly died at the age of 91. No cause of death has really been confirmed, so it’s safe to assume that he just died of old age. Nevertheless, we’ll never forget all that you’ve done for this industry Mr. Nakamura. Hopefully Namco and Pac-Man continue to produce many more great games in the future.

This morning Square Enix and Marvel surprised people by announcing a multi video game partnership with their companies.

That’s right, this deal not only covers one, but multiple MCU video games  headed up by Square. The first of these projects was announced this morning. Simply titled, The Avengers Project, not much is known about this trailer aside from the team apparently having been split apart and now having to reunite them. I say apparently because the trailer really isn’t that good. I mean, say what you want about DC’s films, but they do know how to make some pretty great games and trailers (Example: Batman Arkham series, and Injustice.).

What’s worse is that we apparently won’t be finding out any new info on these games until 2018. Really? Not even E3? Seems a bit premature to be announcing this, doesn’t it? Nevertheless, we all remain excited to see what a company like Square has planned for our favorite superheroes. What kind of MCU games would you like to see? Tell us in the comments below!

February is fast approaching, which means so is Xbox Games With Gold.

All month long Xbox One users will be able to download the co-op action game Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime, after that, They’ll also be able to download Project Cars starting from February 16th – March 5th.  As for Xbox 360 users, they’ll also have a good selection of games.

From February 1st – 15th both 360 and One users can download LeChucks Revenge: Monkey Island 2, and choose whether to go down the path of sith or jedi in Star Wars: The Force Unleashed from February 16th – 28th. What do you think about this months line-up? Tell us in the comments below!

After a year of constant teases, Samurai Jack season 5 finally has a release date!

Adult Swim has confirmed that the long awaited 5th season in Genndy Tartakovsky’s most beloved series, will finally make its big comeback on Adult Swim on March 11th, 2017 at 11:30 PM EST (8:30 PM PST). Season 5 will be 10 episodes long and will feature Phil LaMarr back as Jack. Sadly, Mako, the original voice of Aku passed away back in 2006, and sadly wont be reprising his iconic role. His replacement will have big shoes to fill, but hopefully he’ll be just as menacing.

Are you excited to finally have a release date? What are your hopes and expectations for the season? Tell us in the comments below!

The Nintendo Switch launch day line-up slowly grows each week. Last week it was announced that Nicalis’s The Binding of Isaac Afterbirth + will be releasing on launch day for Nintendo Switch for only $40, and it seems like other companies are now confirming more of their games for launch day as well. Square Enix has stepped up to the plate and has announced that last year’s Tokyo RPG Factory title I Am Setsuna, will be available on day one through the Nintendo E-shop. This is a great chance for people who passed on the game last year to give it another chance on Nintendo’s new console. Are you excited about this? Tell us in the comments below!

Earlier today Nintendo held a special Fire Emblem themed Nintendo Direct for fans eager to know more about the series future in the next year. Nintendo delivered on a lot of announcements, but one of the more interesting ones was the announcement of Fire Emblem Heroes for mobile.

While they didn’t give too much detail into the story, the game will feature an all new original story for both fans and newcomers. Gameplay seems to remain the same, but on a smaller level and some things have been tweaked and changed. One example is that allies who fall in battle will now be resurrected after that encounter is finished.

As per usual mobile game, you’ll also be able to summon other Fire Emblem characters via orbs you can obtain both in game and through the traditional micro transactions. It is a bit different though, as you will be able to choose what kind of class hero you’d like to summon, the character however is still random.

Fire Emblem Heroes will be launching on Android in 2 weeks on February 2nd with IOS to follow later. You can pre-register the game right now on Google Play if you’d like to. Also available is a special Fire Emblem Heroes: Choose Your Legends Event. This event allows fans to select their favorite character from the FE series, and once done, the top results will appear in the game as part of a special outfit event. You can vote right here!, and if you log into My Nintendo while participating, you’ll be rewarded with 200 platinum points! Tell us what you think of the game in the comments below!

After 2 years of begging and pleading, Sega is finally bringing the acclaimed puzzle game Puyopuyo Tetris to the west!

The game was announced last week during the Nintendo Switch presentation where it was revealed that the game would be releasing for the Switch and PS4 here in America. The game includes brand new dubbed voices and the gameplay of Tetris and Puyopuyo. The main attraction mode is one where you face off against an opponent as the puzzle board constantly switches from Puyopuyo style to Tetris gameplay. No solid release date has been announced, but is expected in the coming weeks. Watch the trailer below and tell us what you think!

Aside from Breath of the Wild, the biggest announcement at the Nintendo Switch presentation had to be Super Mario Odyssey!

For the first time in the 15 years since Super Mario Sunshine, Super Mario Odyssey will be an open sandbox Mario game coming to the Nintendo Switch this holiday season. While it still is a ways away, the game is shaping up to be one of the most graphically pleasing games to hit a Nintendo system since Super Mario Galaxy’s 1 & 2. The game was also confirmed to be playable at E3 this year, so it’s nice to know that the game is already very far into development. Check out the mouth watering trailer below and tell us what you think in the comments!

One of the biggest surprises from last weeks Nintendo Switch presentation was the reveal of Super Bomberman R. ‘Developed and published by Konami, Super Bomberman R is a brand new Bomberman game developed by the original Hudson devs who made the series! The game will feature a full on story mode, along with an 8 player battle mode online or local!

The game is set to be a Switch exclusive, and is planned for launch of the console, but doesn’t have a concrete price yet. This is a pretty crazy turn for Konami as the company hasn’t been getting much positive press coverage for the past 2 years. This is a great first step that shows Konami is serious about changing their ways and actually giving back to their fans that hunger for their older I.P’s. Check out the trailer below and get hyped!

Earlier today Deadline reported that DC’S Green Lantern Corps. movie (slated for 2020) has finally secured a pair of writers which will be David Goyer and Justin Rhodes. While Goyer has been a writer for the Dark Knight Trilogy, most of his other work isn’t very well received by fans and critics (like Blade: Trinity), and Rhodes hasn’t really done much to really properly critique him. The film is said to be along the lines of Lethal Weapon in space, and will star the 2 most popular Lanterns, John Stewart and Hal Jordan. The film has no release date or actors yet, but DC seems pretty confident in announcing this right now, but maybe, just maybe they should focus on making the upcoming Wonder Woman and Justice League good films.

What are your thoughts on the announcement? Tell us in the comments below!

I’ll be honest, I’m not the biggest fan of VR right now. While I’ve tried out an Oculus game and PSVR here and there, I still don’t think the device is living up to what it can be, but that doesn’t mean Nintendo shouldn’t try implementing it with the Switch. I feel like Nintendo could find an easy, fun, and affordable way for VR that could evenly compete with the likes of PSVR, and maybe even the PC big boys. How do I propose they do this? Well.

About a month ago, people found a patent Nintendo filed showing an idea of possibly using the switch as a VR headset (See article banner for said image.).  I feel that this could be a great cheap alternative for people looking for a console VR experience in a couple of different ways. One of the ways is that if we assume that the Nintendo Switch will retail for $250, that means it’ll be fairly cheap to come out with a VR accessory for the system. If we were to say that this headset accessory would cost no more than, oh say, $20, that’d round out the price to about $270 total. Not too shabby if I say so myself.

Even if this headset accessory is more expensive when being sold, it’s doubtful that that it’d go anything over $50. At the highest price it’d probably be somewhere around $300 for both the headset and Switch, STILL making it at least $100 cheaper than Sony’s PSVR. The only thing really worrying me about how cheap this VR could be is that it might fall more in line with Phone VR than Console. As long as Nintendo can make the console maintain a steady frame rate and speed during the games though, this shouldn’t be a problem.

                                                                                    Time for Bets

In 2 days during the Switch event, not only will we get the confirmation that the Nintendo Switch will be VR compatible, but that it will also be launching in the summer AND that it will be the 2nd VR system to get full support for Resident Evil 7: Biohazard. The slide in attachment will $20 separately, and $80 with RE7 as a pack in. Lock it in!

Well, I think that just about does it for Day 10 of Switchmas. We’ve only got one more day for regular articles. Tune in tomorrow for the return of Josh to see what else he has to say about the Switch, and don’t forget that Geekscape.net will be holding a live reactions event at 7:00PM PST.

While 2016’s Warcraft didn’t go exactly the way that director Duncan Jones wanted it to, that’s not going to stop him from moving forward with some of his newer projects.

Jones’s newest project titled Mute is a more traditional return for him. Mute is a Netflix original that stars Alexander Skarsgard, Paul Rudd, Justin Theroux, and more. The story centers around Skarsgard’s character Leo, who is a mute bartender due to childhood trauma who all of a sudden finds himself searching for his girlfriend, played by newcomer Seyneb Saleh, in the deep underbelly of Berlin, the city he lives in. The film is a futuristic thriller and is planned for a 2017 launch on the platform sometime this year.

After about 2 years of waiting and multiple gameplay teases like at N7 day and The Game Awards, EA has finally given Mass Effect Andromeda a release date. Coming straight from the official Mass Effect blog, they revealed that North America will get the chance to explore Andromeda when the game launches for PS4, Xbox One, and PC on March 21st, shortly followed by a worldwide release on March 23rd. Are you excited for Mass Effect Andromeda? What’s your favorite Mass Effect game? Tell us in the comments below!

We’re just 11 days away from finding out everything there is to know about the Nintendo Switch, but before everyone makes the switch, we here at Geekscape thought it’d be fun to give our own thoughts on what we’re expecting and hoping from Nintendo’s newest console. Christmas may be over, but there’s still hype to be had. This is The 12 Days of Switchmas!

Let’s start off with a main concern of mine. The battery life. While we’re all excited that we’ll finally get the chance to play some of our favorite games like Zelda, Skyrim, and more on the go, the novelty of that might wane fast if it can only be for an hour or two. Ever since the launch of the 3DS, Nintendo has had trouble trying to keep their hardware at a decent battery life. People tend to forget that the original 3DS only had about 3-5 hours battery life (which was quickly fixed with the XL and the New 3DS line).

This problem continued to carry over to Wii U as the gamepad was left with a very abysmal battery which prompted people to always have it hooked up to a charger. I’m hearing rumblings that since the initial reveal that they’ve gotten the switch battery to clock in around 5 hours undocked, which would actually be pretty solid. All I’m asking is that I don’t want to be shelling out an extra $10-$15 on a 3rd party battery just so I can get an extra 2 hours out of the system.

                                                 Predictions

Let’s get some simple predictions out of the way first. There’s no doubt in my mind that we’ll be seeing appearances by Zelda: Breath of the Wild, and Mario Switch. They’ll almost certainly be front and center to show off the console’s power. I’m going to go out on a limb and say not only will we see a release date for both games, but that both of those releases will be on launch day, AND that both will be available in the first 2 bundles at launch.

Another thing I’m hoping for is to see the Virtual Console line-up that Nintendo has planned. I’m predicting that after years of begging and waiting that we’ll finally see the introduction of Gamecube VC (at least 3-5 titles at during launch week.) I also think that there’s a very good chance we’ll be seeing an announcement on how we’ll finally be able to transfer our Wii U VC library to the Switch for no charge, and that all existing VC titles on Wii U will also be available Day 1 on the Switch.

                                                                                             Time For Bets

I think that keeping excitement in check for this event is a good thing, but that doesn’t mean that we can’t get a bit crazy. This section is just for fun. I don’t expect this to happen, but it’d be pretty damn cool if it did. My bet is that with the constant success and profitability of sports games that Nintendo will see this as a chance to bring back some long awaited franchises back. That’s right! Not only will we witness the return of Wave Race and F-Zero, but these 2 games will also serve as the first titles to be part of the Nintendo E-sports brand, where they’ll have their very own leagues, tournaments, etc. You can bet on that.

That just about wraps it up for my thoughts on the Switch event. Who’ll be sharing their thoughts on the event tomorrow? Come back on the 2nd to find out! Until then, Merry Switchmas!

Yes, you read that correctly. No, this isn’t an extremely late April fools prank.

Online retailer Zavvi announced yesterday that they will be releasing a special limited edition of the Super Mario Bros. Movie for $20 next year on February 13th. Just in time for Valentines Day 2017. In all fairness, I very much enjoy Super Mario Bros. It’s certainly not a good movie by any means, but the approach to the film is just so odd you can’t help but laugh and have a good time at how bad it is. If you’d like to pick up the film, Check out the Pre-order page here!  Do you like the Super Mario Bros. Movie? Tell us in the comments below!

This week has been pretty awful. there’s really no way around it, but there is some cool news that makes things a bit better. Earlier this week, developer Arc Systems Works revealed that in honor of Double Dragons upcoming 30th anniversary, that a brand new DD game is in development for PS4, and PC for next year. The game boasts classic 8 bit sprites similar to Megaman 9 & 10, and is intended for release on January 30th! That’s only about a month away. Check out the trailer below and tell us in the comments what your favorite Double Dragon game is and if you’re excited for this.

Can you believe that 2016 is coming to a close? In just a few days, we’ll abolish that dreaded six for ten more years, and a cool, clean, sexy seven will take its place.

2016 has been an incredible year for everything aside from presidential candidates and celebrity deaths, so as always, we wanted to share our favourite games, movies, moments and more of 2016.

First up is Adam, aka The_ACZ – take a look at his favorite things of the past year, and share yours in the comments below!

Favorite Animated Movie: Zootopia

2016’s been a pretty terrible year for movies. Most summer blockbusters ended up mostly disappointing or ended up being completely re-worked and destroyed in post *Cough DC Movies Cough*. Thankfully, with the exception of a few films, 2016’s actually been a pretty great year for animated films. The highlight of which, is Zootopia. Being the first Disney animated film released this year, Zootopia couldn’t have come at a more perfect time or year. What seems like just another funny animated film with talking animals quickly turns into a film about racism, discrimination, and tolerance. I would tell you that you need to see it, but seeing as the film has already grossed over a billion dollars, odds are you already have.

Favorite Reveal: Nintendo Switch

Nintendo’s had it rough these last couple of years. Between the Wii U being a flop and recent tone deafness of the company have made it hard to love them, but things seem to be finally taking a turn for the better for the Big N. For about the past 2 years we heard whispers of a brand new Nintendo console that was told to seemingly blend handhelds and home consoles. Commonly known as Codename: NX, October 2016 was the month that all those rumors finally came to surface as the Nintendo Switch. All of a sudden, everyone on the internet stopped fighting and came together to enjoy a new Nintendo console being revealed. Sure we could have (and did) argue about its battery life, 3rd party support, etc, but for that moment, everyone was happy to just see Nintendo finally picking themselves out of the mud after being dragged through it for 2 painful years. Most importantly, it showed us that Nintendo is going to be just fine.

Favorite Game: Watch Dogs 2

I’m going to try and keep things pretty short for this one seeing as how I already covered this a bit during our Holiday Wishlist piece, but Watch Dogs 2 is a genuine surprise for me. I wasn’t really a fan of the first Watch Dogs as I thought it was trying to hard to be brooding and serious, but that couldn’t be farther from the sequel. Set in sunny San Fransisco, Watch Dogs 2 centers around Marcus Holloway as he joins the hacktivist group Dedsec as he and his partners try to take down the major corporations like Blume. To start off, the game has a great sense of humor, and the approach to missions are very varied. The inclusion of drones are also a very welcome addition as they allow you to scout out areas from afar. You also have the option of taking a stealthy or guns blazing approach to most missions depending on what play style you prefer (I choose non lethal because Marcus seems like too much of a nice guy to kill anyone.) Round that out with a great cast of colorful and diverse characters, and you have yourself one hell of an experience. If you played the first one and didn’t like it, or never picked up the series, this is a great entry as you don’t really need to know anything about the first one to enjoy this. Plus, this game is still on sale! $40 can still net you the base game, but $60 can now net you the gold edition! What are you waiting for? Go out and get it!

Most Disappointing Film: Suicide Squad

Suicide Squad is a sad tale of frustration and disappointment. What was supposed to be a saving grace for the DCEU after Man of Steel and Batman V. Superman, and the trailers seemed to echo that. Looking much lighter and more fun, the movie seemed to be just the shot of adrenaline that WB and DC’S fledgling universe needed. Sadly, due to studio meddling and bad test screenings, Suicide Squad ended up turning into an abuse victim as the film starting getting drastically stripped of whole scenes, characters, and development in favor of a choppy, confusing, and very muddled outcome that in no way even slightly resembles a movie. Even with actors like Viola Davis as Amanda Waller, The Enchantress is such a lame and boring villain with little to no set-up. At this point, I’ve been burned so many times by DC films that I can’t even trust the trailers for these films anymore. I hope for everyone’s sake that Wonder Woman can turn things around, but if it can’t.. . . .Hey! At least The Lego Batman Movie is coming out soon. Speaking of…..

Most Anticipated Film: The Lego Batman Movie

While DC seems to be having trouble just trying to make a film that can please everyone, their parent WB has been having the opposite with their newly started LEGO universe. Coming early February, The LEGO Batman Movie seems to be taking what people loved about this character in The LEGO Movie and expanding upon it further. The trailers have also done a good job making fun of a lot of the aspects of Batman (and even the DCEU at some points), but also still keeping true to the characters and knowing what does work. Can we just skip January 2017 so we can get to this film faster?

There’s no easy way to say this.

Last week, Actress Carrie Fisher suffered a heart attack while on a plane flight from London to L.A. Fisher stopped breathing for around 12-15 minutes and was quickly rushed to UCLA’S ICU where she quickly regained conciseness, but had to remain hospitalized. Just yesterday, her mother came out to say that she was in stable condition and that things were looking up,but today, we’re sad to report that she did not make it. Carrie Fisher, Princess Leia herself, has passed away at age 60 due to cardiac Arrest. Now, in the spirit of honoring her obituary that she wanted, we would also like to report that the cause of her death was actually drowning in Moonlight, strangled by her own Bra. Old Grim the Reaper just couldn’t keep away from the last week of 2016. We here at Geekscape are deeply saddened by this event and offer our warmest condolences to  her family. Have a safe week everyone, and may the force be with you.

Ok 2016, we get it. Its been a bad year. Bad movies, bad political figures, bad everything, but you shouldn’t be taking it out on some of our most beloved celebrities.

About an hour ago, L.A Times reported that Star Wars actress Carrie Fisher had gone into Cardiac Arrest during a flight from London to L.A and was quickly taken to UCLA Medical Center for treatment. All we can do right now is hope the best for her, and pray to god that this isn’t what we’re going to remember about the end of 2016. All of us here at Geekscape wish Ms. Fisher a fast and speedy recover and hope that the force is with her during this time.

For the last year, Microsoft has been on a hot streak with Xbox’s Games With Gold, and it doesn’t look like their planning on stopping anytime soon.

Starting all throughout January, Xbox One users can download World of Van Helsing: DeathTrap, while both 360 and one users can enjoy Double Fine’s The Cave from January 1st through the 15th. Now things heat up a bit. From January 16th to February 15th, Xbox One owners can ultra combo their way back into KI with Killer Instinct Season 2. Don’t count out 360 though, because from the 16th through the 31st both Xbox users can download the critically acclaimed Rayman Origins!

BUT WAIT! We’re still not done with free games! That’s right, Microsoft seems to be acting very generous this month as there are actually 2 other surprise games that Xbox One users can download from Games With Gold. By logging onto the Japanese Xbox store with your U.S account, you’ll be able to access and download Max: The Curse of Brotherhood, meanwhile you can access the German Xbox store to claim a free copy of the game Kalimba.

What are your thoughts on these surprise games? Which ones are you the most excited to play? Tell us in the comments below!

About a week ago, Disney announced a release window for the highly anticipated reboot for DuckTales coming summer 2017 to Disney XD. Not much was revealed other than the release window and some concept art, but now Disney decided to drop a pretty big bombshell on us this morning.

Today, the new cast of DuckTales was announced, and from what they’ve showed, this is coming along pretty nicely. Community’s Danny Pudi, will be voicing Huey, along with SNL Bobby Moynihan as Louie, and Jean Ralphio himself, Ben Schwartz as Dewey. Raising Hope‘s Kate Micucci has also been cast as Webby, but the biggest name drop today was that David Tennant, the 10th Doctor himself, will be voicing the iconic smartest of the smarties, Scrooge McDuck! Check out the video below to find out who else has been cast in the anticipated reboot, and tell us if you’re excited for this show in the comments below!

Just a little over a year ago Microsoft launched Xbox 360 backwards compatibility for Xbox One, and ever since have been slowly rolling out tons of titles onto the service.

Now  with 300 and more titles underneath their belt, they’re celebrating this achievement in the best possible way. FREE STUFF! Yes, up until December 31st, all Xbox One users will be able to download the cult hit JRPG title Lost Odyssey via backwards compatibility. Created by Final Fantasy creator Hironobu Sakaguchi, Lost Odyssey was praised as being a better Final Fantasy then whatever the actual Final Fantasy was doing at the time. What are your thoughts? Are you excited to download and play Lost Odyssey again or for the first time? Tell us in the comments below!

Playtonic Games just dropped a bombshell of Yooka Laylee news onto the world today, so without any further hesitation, let’s dig into this info.

Let’s just get the bad news out of the way. As of today, Tuesday December 13th 2016, the Wii U version of Yooka Laylee has officially been canceled due to technical problems with the console. In their newest update, Playtonic stressed that this decision was very hard for them, and right up until today they had been constantly searching for work arounds to the issue, but sadly could not find any. Don’t fret just yet though! While Wii U is officially off the table, Playtonic also dropped that development on Nintendo will continue with a Switch version now set to release!nintendoswitch_hardware-0-0

Now, even though Yooka will be arriving on the switch in 2017, it will not be launching alongside the other versions, but that does bring us to our next piece of news which is far cooler, the game has an official release date! That’s right, get ready to go bat ship crazy because Yooka Laylee will be launching on April 11th 2017 for Xbox One, PS4, and PC! Not only that, but Playtonic also released a look at a brand new world coming to the game titled Capital Cashino. Check out the video below and tell us what you think about this update!

Not to be outdone by last weeks trailer for Spider-Man Homecoming, Fox has decided to release the trailer for the latest Planet of the Apes films, War for the Planet of the Apes, and yes, these series titles are still a mouthful to write and say.

You can find the trailer below, but this trailer definitely has me wondering if this new apes series has lost a bit of steam similar to how The Hunger Games lost its momentum. The movie looks nice, but 2017 is a very crowded year for movies. Do you think this new film can survive the 2017 summer movie massacre? Are you going to see the movie? Tell us in the comments below!

About 2 weeks ago, Nintendo and Universal teased eager theme park fans about what to expect from the iconic partnership. Today we finally got the answer (kinda.)

Late last night, Nintendo revealed that the now called Super Nintendo World will be hitting Universal Studios Japan by the year 2020, just in time for Japan to host the Olympics. The photo they teased us with is a beautiful piece of concept art featuring the mushroom kingdom in all its glory (green hills, Peach’s castle, Bowser’s castle, etc.).Sadly, no date has been given for a Florida or Hollywood release, but hopefully the company is working on that as well. Another thing to mention is that Nintendo has said that Mario thankfully won’t be the only Nintendo I.P represented by rides and locations (please Please PLEASE! give me my Donkey Kong Country mine cart ride.). Check out the image yourself! Are you excited, or disappointed? Tell us in the comments below!universal-japan

In this Alpha, players will be able to sail the sea looking for treasure. You’ll have to work together with your crew to chart out the island, make your way to it, find the treasure, and get back safely in order to cash it in. You’ll even be able to use weapons like your sword or blunderbuss!

If you’d like to join the insider program for the chance to get in the alpha, you can apply right here! Check out the video below for more details on what to expect. Sea of Thieves is expected to launch on Xbox One and Windows 10 in 2017. What are you looking forward to the most in Sea of Thieves? Tell us in the comments below!

As 2016 ends to make way for 2017, we are fastly approaching the DuckTales reboot.

Now the last time a network tried to reboot some of its older properties, it didn’t turn out so well *cough* PPG *cough*, but Disney is taking steps to make sure this reboot caters to both old fans of the series, but also new fans and even fans of the original comic. Earlier this year they revealed an image of the reboot featuring Donald and the original shows cast in a more stylized comic like animation (being used for the header above). Disney has now released another teaser in the same style showing off the same characters, but with one new addition. That’s right! Everyone’s favorite bumbling aviator Launchpad McQuack.ducktales-2017-launchpad

Not only that, but other returning characters include Gyro Gearloose, Duckworth, and Magica De Spell (hopefully still being voiced by the amazing June Foray). Since summer 2017 is still a ways away, Disney is still slowly rolling out info on the series, but they did leave us with a catchy little teaser. Check it out below!
