As 2016 ends to make way for 2017, we are fastly approaching the DuckTales reboot.

Now the last time a network tried to reboot some of its older properties, it didn’t turn out so well *cough* PPG *cough*, but Disney is taking steps to make sure this reboot caters to both old fans of the series, but also new fans and even fans of the original comic. Earlier this year they revealed an image of the reboot featuring Donald and the original shows cast in a more stylized comic like animation (being used for the header above). Disney has now released another teaser in the same style showing off the same characters, but with one new addition. That’s right! Everyone’s favorite bumbling aviator Launchpad McQuack.ducktales-2017-launchpad

Not only that, but other returning characters include Gyro Gearloose, Duckworth, and Magica De Spell (hopefully still being voiced by the amazing June Foray). Since summer 2017 is still a ways away, Disney is still slowly rolling out info on the series, but they did leave us with a catchy little teaser. Check it out below! Are you excited about this reboot? Which characters are you hoping come back? Tell us in the comments below!

Today, a bit of everyone’s childhood has died.

Alan Young, most known for his roles as Mr. Ed and Uncle Scrooge on DuckTales, has sadly left us today. The legendary VA passed late Thursday night due to natural causes. While sad, it should be noted that Young was 96, which is a very long time. One of his last performances was in the 2013 console remake DuckTales: Remastered and a small role in a couple of Paul Ruddish’s excellent Mickey Mouse shorts(which will be linked below). While Young has finally ascended to that money bin in the sky, one things for certain: he was and will always be the one and only Uncle scrooge. May you rest in peace good sir.
