Briefly: Rumoured forever and officially announced last month at E3, Microsoft today debuted a new trailer for 343 Industries Halo: The Master Chief Collection.

The collection, of course, brings together Halo: Anniversary EditionHalo 2: Anniversary EditionHalo 3, and Halo 4, with all their campaigns, co-ops, and multiplayer maps, all in 1080P 60FPS. As someone who has missed out on Halo in its entirety to this point (aside from a few nights of multiplayer), I couldn’t be more excited for the package.

The new trailer reintroduces us to the Arbiter (and his many names, depending on who you side with). I don’t know much about what’s going on, but I do know that it looks very pretty.

Take a look at the trailer below, and let us know what you think! Halo: The Master Chief Collection hits the Xbox One on November 11th!

Briefly: I’ve arguably been enjoying Telltale’s The Wolf Among Us even more than the amazing second season of The Walking Dead.

The developer has just announced the release date for the final episode of their Fables adaptation, and I’m feeling pretty bittersweet about it. On one hand, it’s another episode and another chance to jump into this incredible world, and on the other hand, when will we get to play more?

Telltale hasn’t announced a second season of The Wolf Among Us, but as they’re calling this its ‘first’ season, I sure hope that they’re insinuating that more is on the way. Please, Telltale?

In any case, the episode will hit PSN, Mac, and Windows on July 8th, Xbox 360 on July 9th, and iOS on July 10th. You can take a look at the trailer for the episode, titled Cry Wolf below, and be sure to let us know what you hope to see in the finale!

Briefly: A few days back we saw two new stills from Sin City: A Dame to Kill For, and now Dimension has released a new clip for the anticipated film.

I still remember being a 15 year old kid, absolutely falling in love with the first film, and being so excited when it was announced that a sequel would be put on the fast track. Now, it’s 9 years later, we’re finally close to seeing it.

Today’s video focusses on Jessica Alba’s Nancy Callahan, and from the looks of it she’s having a pretty rough day. Take a look at the clip below, and be sure to let us know if you’re looking forward to the film. Sin City: A Dame to Kill For hits theatres on August 22nd.

Co-directors Robert Rodriguez and Frank Miller reunite to bring Miller’s visually stunning “Sin City” graphic novels back to the screen in SIN CITY: A DAME TO KILL FOR. Weaving together two of Miller’s classic stories with new tales, the town’s most hard boiled citizens cross paths with some of its more reviled inhabitants. SIN CITY: A DAME TO KILL FOR is the follow up to Rodriguez and Miller’s 2005 groundbreaking film, FRANK MILLER’S SIN CITY.

Briefly: We finally got an official title a few weeks ago, and now Warner Bros. has debuted the first official image from Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice.

The costume looks very similar (or exactly the same) as the one we saw in Man of Steel, but the tone of the image definitely gives off a Dark Knight feel. Supes looks somber, and the colouring and darkness of the image is something we certainly didn’t see last time around.

You can take a look at the image below, and let us know what you think! The film stars Henry Cavill, Ben Affleck, Gal Gadot as Diana Prince/Wonder Woman, with Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburne and Diane Lane returning from “Man of Steel,” Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, Jeremy Irons as Alfred, and Holly Hunter in a role newly created for the film.

Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice hits theatres on May 6th, 2016!

Dawn

Briefly: The cast of Fox’s Gotham has grown yet again.

The series shows off the Batman universe, its heroes, and its villains, long before the Dark Knight ever donned his first cape. As such, I always wondered whether or not we’d be seeing the parents of any of the series’ characters, and with the casting of Carol Kane as Oswald Cobblepot’s mom, Gertrud Kapelput, Fox just opened up a whole world for the anticipated show.

The character was very seminal in Gregg Hurwitz and Szymon Kudranski’s Penguin: Pain & Predjudice, so it will certainly be interesting to see how she’ll shape Oswald’s future in Gotham.

The character is described as “A proud and faded beauty with delusions of grandeur” and she’ll first appear in episode two.

What do you think of the casting choice? Are you looking forward to the series? Sound out below!

Briefly: A leaked pilot episode hasn’t stopped The CW from promoting the series premiere of The Flash.

Following an Iris / Barry relationship featurette from a few weeks back, the network has debuted a short new introduction to ‘Detective Pretty Boy’, who may be pretty but is definitely not faster than a bullet.

I’m really looking forward to the series (and I still really need to catch up on Arrow), but I really hope that The CW starts releasing more substantial content promoting the show. A 44 second video about an attractive dude side character doesn’t really get my blood boiling.

Take a look at the video below (if you haven’t seen the pilot of course) and let us know what you think!

Based upon characters published by DC Comics. Through a freak accident, scientist Barry Allen is given the power of super speed that transforms him into the Fastest Man Alive.

Briefly: Netflix made millions of fans very happy last November when they announced that they were resurrecting (again, they also co-produced season 3) The Killing for an abbreviated, 6-episode final season.

Now we’re less than a month away from its bittersweet (because it’ll be the end, though we’re still so thankful that it’s happening) launch, and Netflix has launched the trailer for the upcoming episodes.

I’m a huge fan of the show, and after season three’s insane conclusion, I can’t wait to see how things wrap up. Take a look at the trailer below, and let us know what you hope to see next month!

Briefly: Following the first image from season five from all the way back in May, AMC has just debuted two new featurettes for The Walking Dead.

Each video takes us behind the scenes of the fifth season’s production, and offers some neat insights from the series’ cast and crew.

Take a look at the featurettes below, and let us know what you hope to see when The Walking Dead premieres this Fall!

It’s hard to believe that we’re just a few weeks away from another San Diego Comic Con, but preview night is just 22 days away, and I cannot wait to get out of Canada and head back to the San Diego area.

Last year was my very first SDCC, and as such I had no idea what to expect. The entire week was insane (especially that Ubisoft Assassin’s Creed party), but one of my biggest regrets was missing out on The Walking Dead Escape event.

I walked by Petco Park countless times during the week, and every time I was wowed by the post-apocalyptic obstacle course inside. It looked absolutely incredible (especially for me, who lives in a small, boring town in Canada), and it’s an event that I mention when talking about last year’s convention to this day.

Escape

The Walking Dead Escape is back this year, and I am so excited to experience the event in person. After its successful 2012 debut at San Diego’s Petco Park, The Walking Dead Escape expanded with three additional events in major cities in 2013, including New York, where the course was integrated aboard the aircraft carrier the USS Intrepid. Based on fans’ enthusiastic response, Skybound decided to take the events to the next level with a national tour.

“I’m thrilled to offer fans new and old an even bigger, more interactive experience this time around. It’s great to see fans of the comic book and television series live in the world I created so many years ago,” says Robert Kirkman, creator and executive producer of The Walking Dead.

Tickets are on sale now for the SDCC event, which will take place on July 25th and 26th, and an early-bird special is active until July 4th. Head to the official The Walking Dead Escape site for more info, and I’ll see you on the course!

Briefly: We’re just ten days away from the highly-anticipated release of Fox’s Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, and Fox and Motherboard have teamed up to release a fantastic series of tie-in prequels for the film.

There’s a ten year gap between Rise of the Planet of the Apes and Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, and each of the three short films depicts what the world is going through at a particular time. It’s really a great way to bridge the gap between the two films, and they certainly help to get me even more excited for Dawn.

Take a look at the shorts below, and let us know what you think.

Amidst a widespread viral outbreak known as the ‘Simian Flu,’ a mother is quarantined after testing positive for the virus, leaving her husband and daughter to fend for themselves.

Five years after the Simian Flu all but wiped out humanity, an orphaned teenage girl survives by bartering things she has stolen from dead people’s homes.

The journey of a shotgun through the hands of several ill-fated owners as the ‘Simian Flu’ ravages the world around them.

Motherboard will also debut a documentary tomorrow, in which the crew goes to Liberia to discover ‘Monkey Island,’ a place solely inhabited by former lab tested chimpanzees. They talk to the fearful locals and meet the scientists involved in the testing facility 25 years ago. Take a look at the trailer below.

Dawn of the Planet of the Apes hits theatres on July 11th.

Briefly: After all these years, we’re finally less than two months away from the release of Sin City: A Dame To Kill For.

I still remember being a 15 year old kid, absolutely falling in love with the first film, and being so excited when it was announced that a sequel would be put on the fast track. Now, it’s 9 years later, we’re finally close to seeing it.

Two new stills from the film have debuted online, featuring Rosario Dawson’s Gail and Jamie Chung’s Miho. Take a look at the images below, and let us know what you think! Sin City: A Dame to Kill For hits theatres on August 22nd.

Briefly: It seems like teasing far-off projects is becoming a thing. Yesterday, director Bryan Singer teased the opening of 2016’s X-Men: Apocalypse, and today Seth Rogen has teased the start of AMC’s Preacher adaptation.

Breaking Bad producer Sam Caitlin is showrunner on the series, which is being developed by Hollywood power duo Rogen and Evan Goldberg (who are also developing a film based on Blake J. Harris’s excellent Console Wars). Back when the project was first confirmed, the pair said that “This is amazing! We’ve tried for seven years to work on Preacher and we’re so psyched AMC is finally letting us. It is our favorite comic of all time, and we’re going to do everything we can to do it right. Humperdoo!”

In case you need a refresher, “Preacher follows Reverend Jesse Custer, a tough Texas preacher who has lost his faith, has learned that God has left Heaven and abandoned His responsibilities. He finds himself the only person capable of tracking God down, demanding answers, and making Him answer for His dereliction of duty. Accompanying Jesse on his journey is his former girlfriend and a friendly vampire who seems to prefer a pint in the pub to the blood of the innocent. On his tail is one of the most iconic bad guys in print – an immortal, unstoppable killing machine named the Saint of Killers – a western lone gunman archetype whose sole purpose is to hunt and kill Jesse.”

We’re still not sure when Preacher will air, but we can’t wait. Here’s the small teaser that Rogen tweeted out today:

Excited?

Briefly: Fans everywhere are still talking about (and gushing over) X-Men: Days of Future Past, but Bryan Singer, Simon Kinberg, Michael Dougherty, and Dan Harris are already heard at work on the next instalment in the series, X-Men: Apocalypse.

Singer today published the first photo to his Instagram account, which shows off the front page of the film’s treatment and revealing how Apocalypse will open. Turns out it’s (spoiler) right where the after-credits scene in X-Men: Days of Future Past left off.

Take a look at the image below, and let us know what you think! X-Men: Apocalypse hits theatres on May 27th, 2016!

Briefly: Back in March we showed you the freaky first teaser for Into the Storm, a new found footage disaster flick that’s hitting theatres this August. Today, Village Roadshow Pictures released the theatrical trailer for the film, which shows off found footage (mixed in with classic cinematography) and digs a little deeper into the film’s plot.

I’m not sure how this one will turn out, but it certainly looks like a fun way to spend a couple of hours this August. Into the Storm boasts a pretty stellar cast too, including Richard Armitage (The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug), Sarah Wayne Callies (The Walking Dead), Matt Walsh (Ted), Alycia Debnam-Carey (Where the Devil Hides), and more.

Take a look at the new trailer below, and let us know what you think. Into the Storm hits theatres on August 8th.

In the span of a single day, the town of Silverton is ravaged by an unprecedented onslaught of tornadoes. The entire town is at the mercy of the erratic and deadly cyclones, even as storm trackers predict the worst is yet to come. Most people seek shelter, while others run towards the vortex, testing how far a storm chaser will go for that once-in-a-lifetime shot.

Told through the eyes and lenses of professional storm chasers, thrill-seeking amateurs, and courageous townspeople, “Into the Storm” throws you directly into the eye of the storm to experience Mother Nature at her most extreme.

Briefly: Following the three dino-free stills released earlier this monthJurassic World director Colin Trevorrow has debuted a bloody behind-the-scenes image from the film’s production.

As amazing and foolproof as I’m sure the Jurassic World theme park will be, something terrible is bound to happen (otherwise it wouldn’t be a Jurassic film, of course).

Take a look at the image below, and let us know what you think! Jurassic World hits theatres on June 12th, 2015.

Briefly: This was sure cutting it close. NBC cancelled Community back in May, and its stars contracts would have expired at midnight tonight, but Yahoo! has announced that it’s resurrected Community for a 13 episode sixth season, with every episode releasing at once sometime in 2015  Update: Yahoo’s release has been edited, and now says that the episodes will be ‘released weekly this Fall’.

Maybe it’s not the darkest timeline after all. After talks with Hulu fell through, I thought for sure that the dream of six seasons and a movie would be cut short, but now fans have a glimmer of hope.

Dan Harmon said that “I am very pleased that Community will be returning for its predestined sixth season on Yahoo. I look forward to bringing our beloved NBC sitcom to a larger audience by moving it online. I vow to dominate our new competition. Rest easy, Big Bang Theory. Look out, Bang Bus!”

Chris McKenna, Russ Krasnoff and Gary Foster also return, and Joel McHale added ‘The reports of our cancelation have been greatly exaggerated.’ —Mark Twain (The other version of this quote has been wrong for years). #SixSeasonsAndaMovie is real. Thank you Sony. Thank you Yahoo. Thank you Dan Harmon.  And thank you to the greatest f%$#ing fans in the history of the human race. It’s the internet. We can swear now.”

We are so excited. So excited, in fact, that we just changed our default search provider.

What are your thoughts on the renewal? What do you hope to see next season? Sound out below!

Two weeks ago we released Geekscape’s excellent 331st episode, in which Jonathan had an incredible 60+ minute conversation with Console Wars author Blake J. Harris. The duo gabbed about the creation of the book, their childhoods, the film adaptations, and much much more, and it was definitely one of my favourite episodes of the show.

On top of the episode, we’ve also uploaded a new video to the GeekscapeTV YouTube channel. Jonathan and Blake’s conversation continues into the conception of the idea for the book, and evolves into Blake revealing his 5 favourite Sega Genesis games.

Take a look at the video below, check out our Console Wars review here,  and be sure to subscribe to GeekscapeTV for plenty more where this came from!

Briefly: Doctor Who may not be making an appearance at this year’s San Diego Comic Con, but that’s probably because the entire team will be hard at work preparing for the new series’ just-announced, fast approaching premiere date.

BBC has debuted a short new teaser for the upcoming episodes (which I can’t watch as I’m not in the US), and has also debuted a new key image featuring Capaldi’s Doctor and our pal Clara inside the Tardis.

US readers can take a look at the teaser below, while everyone else will have to settle for a poster. Doctor Who‘s eighth series will premiere on August 23rd.

Briefly: Compulsion Games’ Contrast was one of the most original, unique titles that I had the pleasure of playing last year. The game hit Windows, Xbox 360, PS3, and PS4 back in November, and I didn’t even touch another PS4 title (PSN or retail) until I had explored every nook and cranny of the game. The game just hit Xbox One, and if you haven’t already played it, Compulsion says that it’s the best version of the game yet.

I had an opportunity to interview Compulsion Games’ Sam Abbot about the game earlier this year, and it was a very cool opportunity.

The game doesn’t take long to play through, but it’s totally worth the price of admission. Take a look at the Xbox One launch trailer below, and let us know if you’ll be picking it up, or what you thought of it if you already have!

Briefly: I hadn’t actually heard of this one until today, but it actually looks pretty cool!

Universal today released the first official trailer for Dracula Untold. The brutal looking film digs into the untold (duh) origin of Dracula, and looks to paint the character in a different light than we usually see him: a hero who turns to darkness to protect the ones he loves.

The film stars Luke Evans, Sarah Gadon, Dominic Cooper, Diarmaid Murtagh, Samantha Barks, and more, and hits theatres on October 17th. Take a look at the trailer below, and let us know what you think!

http://youtu.be/3AXVuHRSR_w

Luke Evans (Fast & Furious 6, Immortals) stars in Dracula Untold, the origin story of the man who became Dracula. Gary Shore directs and Michael De Luca produces the epic action-adventure that co-stars Sarah Gadon, Dominic Cooper, and Diarmaid Murtagh.

Briefly: We’ve heard rumours for what seems like forever, and based on the first film’s performance we weren’t sure that it would ever happen, but Guillermo Del Toro himself has just announced that Pacific Rim 2 is officially in production.

Del Toro is working with The Avengers writer Zak Penn and Pacific Rim creator Travis Beacham on the project, but another film isn’t all that Legendary has in store for us. We’ll also be getting a Pacific Rim animated series, and the comic book series that began with movie tie-in Pacific Rim: Tales From Year Zero will also continue.

Speaking to Buzzfeed, Del Toro said that “The characters I love will return. Raleigh, Mako, Newt, Gottlieb and who knows, maybe even Hannibal Chau – but we are taking them into a fresh territory that will display amazing sights and battles. The first film set the stage and now we’re ready to have a blast.”

As a huge fan of the first film, I’d be happy to see anything new from this universe. A new film, an animated series, and a comic book series? I’m on board for everything.

Take a look at Del Toro’s announcement below, and let us know if you’re excited! Pacific Rim 2 will hit theatres on April 7th, 2017.

Briefly: Kari went hands-on with Alien: Isolation at E3, and one of the biggest surprises of the experience was just how tense the game can be.

It also doesn’t stink, which is almost a surprise after last year’s horrendous Aliens: Colonial Marines.

Sega has just debuted a new trailer for the anticipated game, and it’s one that shows off the title’s E3 accolades. It seems as though most outlets are genuinely excited for the game, and it’s pretty easy to see why: it looks terrifying.

Take a look at the Amanda-narrated (Ripley’s daughter) trailer below, and let us know what you think. Alien: Isolation hits PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and PC on October 7th.

Discover the true meaning of fear in Alien: Isolation, a survival horror set in an atmosphere of constant dread and mortal danger. Fifteen years after the events of Alien™, Ellen Ripley’s daughter, Amanda enters a desperate battle for survival, on a mission to unravel the truth behind her mother’s disappearance.

As Amanda, you will navigate through an increasingly volatile world as you find yourself confronted on all sides by a panicked, desperate population and an unpredictable, ruthless Alien.

Underpowered and underprepared, you must scavenge resources, improvise solutions and use your wits, not just to succeed in your mission, but to simply stay alive.

Briefly: Following the casting of Rosario Dawson less than a week ago, Marvel has just announced the next addition to Daredevil.

Here’s what Marvel had to say:

Marvel and Netflix are proud to announce that acclaimed actor Elden Henson has joined “Marvel’s Daredevil,” an all-new 13-episode series premiering on Netflix in 2015.

With a diverse body of acclaimed work, including the “Hunger Games” and “Mighty Ducks” franchises, Elden Henson will play Foggy Nelson, Matt Murdock’s best friend and legal partner. In a town full of crime and corruption, Foggy’s friendship to the community and passion for improving it have made him a friend to its many residents from all walks of life.

Henson joins Charlie Cox (previously announced as Matt Murdock), Vincent D’Onofrio (previously announced as Wilson Fisk) and Rosario Dawson in the critically-lauded cast of “Marvel’s Daredevil.”

Marvel’s head of TV, Jeph Loeb stated that “Elden plays one of the most important characters in the world of ‘Marvel’s Daredevil,’ and we’re thrilled to see Foggy Nelson brought to life by such an incredibly talented actor. He perfectly captures the heart and soul of this series, bringing an added resonance to Matt Murdock’s fight against the injustice in their great city.

Are you happy with the casting choice? Is there anyone else you’d have rather seen in the role? Sound out below!

Elden

“Marvel’s Daredevil” follows the journey of Matt Murdock, who was blinded as a young boy but imbued with extraordinary senses, now fighting against injustice by day as a lawyer, and by night as the super hero Daredevil in modern day Hell’s Kitchen, New York City.

Briefly: Marvel has just debuted a new 1+ minute TV spot for next August’s Guardians of the Galaxy.

The video changes up the film’s music selection (Cherry Bomb instead of Hooked on a Feeling), and also delves into why Peter is so keen on saving the galaxy. We also see more combat, and a few more humorous clips of those a-holes arguing.

Guardians of the Galaxy looks like a blast, and we cannot wait to see the full feature. Take a look at the new spot below, and let us know what you think! Guardians hits theatres on August 1st.

From Marvel, the studio that brought you the global blockbuster franchise of Iron Man, Thor, Captain America and The Avengers, comes a new team–the Guardians of the Galaxy. An action-packed, epic space adventure, Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy expands the Marvel Cinematic Universe into the cosmos, where brash adventurer Peter Quill finds himself the object of an unrelenting bounty hunt after stealing a mysterious orb coveted by Ronan, a powerful villain with ambitions that threaten the entire universe. To evade the ever-persistent Ronan, Quill is forced into an uneasy truce with a quartet of disparate misfits -Rocket, a gun-toting raccoon, Groot, a tree-like humanoid, the deadly and enigmatic Gamora and the revenge-driven Drax the Destroyer. But when Peter discovers the true power of the orb and the menace it poses to the cosmos, he must do his best to rally his ragtag rivals for a last, desperate stand–with the galaxy’s fate in the balance.

Briefly: Following the ‘villains’ teaser from a few weeks back, Fox has debuted eight cool new character posters from this Fall’s Gotham.

The images show off a variety of the shows’ heroes and villains, and offer a neat look into the design of Gotham.

Take a look at the images below, and let us know what you’re hoping to see in the series! We’ll probably be seeing a lot of Gotham come SDCC, so be on the lookout for more news soon.

Everyone knows the name Commissioner Gordon. He is one of the crime world’s greatest foes, a man whose reputation is synonymous with law and order. But what is known of Gordon’s story and his rise from rookie detective to Police Commissioner? What did it take to navigate the multiple layers of corruption that secretly ruled Gotham City, the spawning ground of the world’s most iconic villains? And what circumstances created them – the larger-than-life personas who would become Catwoman, The Penguin, The Riddler, Two-Face and The Joker?

“Gotham” is an origin story of the great DC Comics super villains and vigilantes, revealing an entirely new chapter that has never been told. From executive producer/writer Bruno Heller (“The Mentalist,” “Rome”), “Gotham” follows one cop’s rise through a dangerously corrupt city teetering on the edge of evil and chronicles the birth of one of the most popular super heroes of our time.

Growing up in Gotham City’s surrounding suburbs, James Gordon (Ben McKenzie, “Southland,” “The O.C.”) romanticized the city as a glamorous and exciting metropolis where his late father once served as a successful district attorney. Now, two weeks into his new job as a Gotham City detective and engaged to his beloved fiancée, Barbara Kean (Erin Richards, Open Grave, “Breaking In”), Gordon is living his dream – even as he hopes to restore the city back to the pure version he remembers it was as a kid.

Brave, honest and ready to prove himself, the newly-minted detective is partnered with the brash, but shrewd police legend Harvey Bullock (Donal Logue, “Sons of Anarchy,” “Terriers,” “Vikings,” “Copper”), as the two stumble upon the city’s highest-profile case ever: the murder of local billionaires Thomas and Martha Wayne. At the scene of the crime, Gordon meets the sole survivor: the Waynes’ hauntingly intense 12-year-old son, Bruce (David Mazouz, “Touch”), toward whom the young detective feels an inexplicable kinship. Moved by the boy’s profound loss, Gordon vows to catch the killer.

As he navigates the often-underhanded politics of Gotham’s criminal justice system, Gordon will confront imposing gang boss Fish Mooney (Jada Pinkett Smith, The Matrix films, “HawthoRNe,” Collateral), and many of the characters who will become some of fiction’s most renowned, enduring villains, including a teenaged Selina Kyle/the future Catwoman (acting newcomer Camren Bicondova) and Oswald Cobblepot/The Penguin (Robin Lord Taylor, “The Walking Dead,” Another Earth).

Although the crime drama will follow Gordon’s turbulent and singular rise through the Gotham City police department, led by Police Captain Sarah Essen (Zabryna Guevara, “Burn Notice”), it also will focus on the unlikely friendship Gordon forms with the young heir to the Wayne fortune, who is being raised by his unflappable butler, Alfred (Sean Pertwee, “Camelot,” “Elementary”). It is a friendship that will last them all of their lives, playing a crucial role in helping the young boy eventually become the crusader he’s destined to be.

UPDATE: While initial reports said that Black’s Predator film would be a reboot, Black says otherwise.

Speaking with Collider, Black said “Why start over, when you’ve all this rich mythology yet to mine?” He went on, stating that he wasn’t generally a fan of reboots, but could “really get behind inventive sequels” and that he likes “the idea of expanding and exploring the existing Predator mythology, rather than hitting the restart button.”

I’m definitely a fan of this idea, rather than a reboot of the entire franchise, though I still don’t know how I feel about Black in the driver’s seat.

Head below for the original post, and let us know what you think of the news!

ShaneBlack

Briefly: Because everyone loved Iron Man 3 so much, Fox has turned to its writer/director Shane Black to helm a Predator reboot.

Yep, reboot. So it looks like 2010’s Predators didn’t count (it was okay).

Black’s Monster Squad co-writer Fred Dekker is set to write the script, and one of the original film’s producers, John Davis, will also produce the reboot.

No other info on the project has been revealed as of yet, but we’ll be sure to fill you in as soon as we hear more! Are you down for a Predator reboot? Or did you like where things were going with Predators? Sound out below!

Briefly: The first teaser trailer for The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part One has just hit the web, in the form of a Capitol Address from President Snow.

In the video, Snow offers a stark warning to those who go agains the Capitol, and delves into a speech about how important it is that all of Panem is united. After all, if the districts are the body, then the Capitol is the heart, and… I don’t think that anyone but the Capitol believes that.

As disappointed as I was in the first film in the series, I loved every second of last year’s Catching Fire. As such, I can’t wait to see where this story goes. I haven’t read the series, but I’m really looking forward to seeing where things are going (and that love triangle, oh man).

Take a look at the video below, and let us know what you think. Part one of The Hunger Games: Catching Fire hits theatres on November 21st!

Briefly: This movie’s going to make a ton of money… But I don’t think it’ll be getting any of mine.

A new trailer for the Michael Bay produced Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles has just hit the web, and it fills me with even more dread than the first trailer did. It’s got a little of everything that many of these 80’s reboots tend to offer, including bad  performances, underwhelming CGI, who-the-hell-approved this character redesigns, and way too much dubstep.

After hating on Days of Future Past‘s Quicksilver, who then went on to steal the film, I try to reserve judgement on these projects until I actually see them, but that’s really hard to do this time. It just looks awful.

In any case, you’ve been warned. Take a look at the trailer below if you dare, and let us know what you think. Shrek 5 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles hits theatres on August 8th.

Briefly: We saw the haunting final trailer for the film just a few days back, and now Fox has debuted an amazing look into the film’s groundbreaking special effects.

In ‘Dawn of the Planet of the Apes’, a growing nation of genetically evolved apes led by Caesar is threatened by a band of human survivors of the devastating virus unleashed a decade earlier. They reach a fragile peace, but it proves short-lived, as both sides are brought to the brink of a war that will determine who will emerge as Earth’s dominant species.

We can’t wait for this one. How about you? Check out the insane video below, and let us know what you think! Dawn of the Planet of the Apes hits theatres on July 11th!

Briefly:  As MCDave noted in his review of the original film, last year’s surprise hit The Purge held an absolutely brilliant premise and a stellar cast, but faltered in its execution, leading to a mess of a film that isn’t even worth watching.

The first trailer for The Purge: Anarchy previewed a feature far better looking than the original film, and that trend continues with the release of this new trailer. The video digs deeper into the film’s plot, shows more of what the Purge looks like inside the city (rather than trapped in one home like the first film), and it also gives us a lot more Frank Grillo. We love Frank Grillo.

Take a look at the new trailer below, and let us know what you think! The Purge: Anarchy hits theatres on July 18th!
