Should you bring your kids to see Deadpool 2? Is Deadpool 2 as funny as the first movie? And more! So obviously we have to get Ian Kerner to join us on this ‘Deadpool 2 Special’ to Wade Wilson through all the questions with us! Oh yeah! And MAJOR SPOILER WARNING! ENJOY!

Briefly: X-Men: Apocalypse finally made its way to North American theatres this past weekend, and whether you love or hate the divisive film, it’d be downright impossible to deny just how damned cool Evan Peter’s Quicksilver’s slow-motion scene was this time around.

While I don’t know that I enjoyed his scene in Apocalypse as much as I enjoyed his feature in Days of Future Past, I found myself laughing at just home impressive the scene was, as well as just how absurd the scene was, throughout.

Fox has just debuted a new featurette for the film that shows off just how the scene was created, and it’s definitely worth the watch. Take a look at the video below, and be sure to let us know what you thought of Singer’s latest X-Men film!

Briefly: X-Men: Apocalypse is finally almost here, and the film may be receiving a mixed reception thus far, but it’d be hard to deny that this new viral video is fantastic.

The video plays off like a cheesy 1980’s VHS tape, and has Lana Condor’s Jubilee essentially making you want to enrol in Xavier’s School For Gifted Youngsters.

Take a look at the video below, and be sure to let us know what you think! X-Men: Apocalypse hits theatres on May 27th!

She sure makes the school look like a peaceful place, doesn’t she?

Also, that phone number at the end of the video? Be sure to give it a call.

Following the critically acclaimed global smash hit X-Men: Days of Future Past, director Bryan Singer returns with X-MEN: APOCALYPSE. Since the dawn of civilization, he was worshipped as a god. Apocalypse, the first and most powerful mutant from Marvel’s X-Men universe, amassed the powers of many other mutants, becoming immortal and invincible. Upon awakening after thousands of years, he is disillusioned with the world as he finds it and recruits a team of powerful mutants, including a disheartened Magneto (Michael Fassbender), to cleanse mankind and create a new world order, over which he will reign. As the fate of the Earth hangs in the balance, Raven (Jennifer Lawrence) with the help of Professor X (James McAvoy) must lead a team of young X-Men to stop their greatest nemesis and save mankind from complete destruction.

We’re a little under a month away from the release of the next in the X-Men franchise, and the hype machine is starting to hit the redline. Check out the final trailer for X-Men: Apocalupse

My only question; Why do mutants hate bridges so much? X-3 and now THIS!

X-Men: Apocalypse hits theaters May 27th!

En Sabah Nur.

En Sabah Nur.

En Sabah Nur.

Praise be unto En Sabah Nur!!!

The one true GOD, Apocalypse (Oscar Isaac), has come to cleanse mankind and create a new world order, over which he will reign. He will unleash upon us his four horsemen, Psylocke (Olivia Munn), Storm (Alexandra Shipp), Archangel (Ben Hardy) and the disheartened Magneto (Michael Fassbender).

As the fate of the Earth hangs in the balance, Raven (Jennifer Lawrence) with the help of Professor X (James McAvoy) must lead a team of young inexperienced X-Men. These fools are nothing but whinny valley kids, Jean Grey (Sophie Turner), Cyclops (Tye Sheridan); a mall rat, Jubilee (Lana Condor); and a circus freak, Nightcrawler (Kodi Smit-McPhee). They do have a bad ass speedster though, i mean have you see this guy in action? DAMNNN QUICKSILVER (Evan Peters). These losers will try and stop the one true God in a feeble attempt to save mankind from complete and utter destruction that it deserves.

Briefly: The official synopsis for X-Men: Apocalypse has finally been revealed.

By M&M’s.

Yep. The candy revealed a partnership with 20th Century Fox today, which officially began with the debut of this synopsis, and a ‘cute’ photo of M&M’s dressed like Storm and Magneto.

In any case, here are the goods:

In any case, what do you think of the synopsis? Do you like what we’ve seen of Apocalypse thus far? Or are you still trying to get passed the Ivan Ooze comparisons?

This weeks Entertainment Weekly is featuring X-Men: Apocalypse. On the cover we have Psylocke, Magneto, and Apocalypse and set photos of some of the cast.

We also get a  first look at new comers Psylocke (Olivia Munn) and Punk Rock Storm (Alexandra Shipp), Jean Grey (Sophie Turner), Cyclops (Tye Sheridan). The returning mutants are Magneto with a new look (Michael Fassbender), Professor X (James McAvoy), Beast (Nicholas Hoult), and Quicksilver (Evan Peters) who also is sporting an official outfit. No pics of Nightcrawler (Kodi Smit-McPhee) though, he was probably the only thing I enjoyed about X2.

While we haven’t seen everyone in official  outfits, Storm and Psylocke seem to stick close to the the 80’s sexy outfits. I have already seen some grumblings regarding the look of Apocalypse. In one of the photos he is resembling Ivan Ooze from the Power Rangers Movie. At this point It’s really hard to judge the costumes until we see it on the big screen and in action so I’ll reserve judgement.

Earlier today, X-Men director Bryan Singer announced on the set of X-Men: Apocalypse via the Periscope app, which I genuinely still don’t understand, a new “Rogue Cut” of X-Men: Days of Future Past to include a mystery, fan-favorite mutant! Who could it be?

unnamed

Kidding. It’s Rogue. Anna Paquin’s role in Days of Future Past was left on the cutting room floor, but now in a home video rerelease diehard Rogue (and I guess Anna Paquin) fans will get to see their favorite do some mind stuff to Wolverine.

There’s still more to learn, but all we know is that the cut will be released on DVD, Blu-ray, and Digital HD on July 14.

Briefly: Just days after confirming that Ben Hardy would be playing Angel in next year’s X-Men: Apocalypse, the director has again taken to Twitter (and Instagram) to reveal another mutant (and cast member) for the anticipated film.

Attack of the Show! and The Newsroom actress Olivia Munn has been tapped to play Betsy Braddock / Psylocke in the film. In case you’re not familiar with the character, Wikipedia states that “Originally presented as a precognitive in the pages of Captain Britain and then as a telepath, the character eventually acquired the body, skills and elements of personality of a Japanese female ninja known as Kwannon. Later, Psylocke somehow acquired the telekinesis of Jean Grey.” Sounds pretty bad-ass.

Excited to welcome @oliviamunn as Betsy Braddock! #Psylocke #XmenApocalypse #XMEN

With three mutant filled feature films set to arrive from Fox next year (X-Men: Apocalypse, Gambit, and Deadpool), things are about to get even busier for comic book fans. Are you down for Olivia Munn as Pyslocke? Is there someone else you’d rather see in the role? Sound out below!

Bryan Singer announced who will be playing Storm, Cyclops, and Jean Grey via Twitter today in his upcoming prequel/sequel: X-Men: Apocalypse.

Bsinger Quote

The three will be playing fan favorites Cyclops, Storm and Jean Grey (portrayed in the original trilogy and last year’s Days of Future Past by James Marsden, Halle Barry and Famke Janssen), with Alexandra Shipp (Straight Outta Compton) playing Storm, Sheridan (Mud) as Cyclops and Sophie Turner (Game of Thrones) as Jean Grey.

Xmen Cast
(l-r) Alexandra Shipp, Tye Sheridan, and Sophie Turner join the cast of X-Men: Apocalypse as Storm, Cyclops and Jean Grey, respectively.

Set in the 80’s–a full two decades before first X-Men movie–Apocalypse also stars Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence and James McAvoy reprising their roles from Days of Future Past.

The movie starts shooting this April and is set to release in May 2016.

What do you guys think? Perfect casting? Don’t know what Singer was thinking? Let us know in the comments!

Briefly: Fans everywhere are still talking about (and gushing over) X-Men: Days of Future Past, but Bryan Singer, Simon Kinberg, Michael Dougherty, and Dan Harris are already heard at work on the next instalment in the series, X-Men: Apocalypse.

Singer today published the first photo to his Instagram account, which shows off the front page of the film’s treatment and revealing how Apocalypse will open. Turns out it’s (spoiler) right where the after-credits scene in X-Men: Days of Future Past left off.

Take a look at the image below, and let us know what you think! X-Men: Apocalypse hits theatres on May 27th, 2016!

Apocalypse

Briefly: Since X-Men: Days of Future Past hit theatres on Friday, essentially erasing and re-writing the X-Men film franchise, we’ve all been wondering whether or not Days was a swan song for the original X-Men cast, or if we’d be seeing them again in the next film, X-Men: Apocalypse (which Jon and Ian discuss at length, along with the rest of DoFP in the latest podcast).

In an interview with The Daily Beast, screenwriter and producer Simon Kinberg, he states that Apocalypse “will focus primarily on the First Class cast, but it will certainly have some of the original cast involved, too.”

It’s not much, but it’s something! Who would you like to see in the film? X-Men: Apocalypse hits theatres on May 26th, 2016!

I’d take a look at the full interview too, it’s pretty great.

apocalypse_XMen

Briefly: An X-Men: Apocalypse rumour has just been confirmed.

During an interview for X-Men: Days of Future Past, producer Lauren Shuler Donner spoke to TotalFilm about the topic of Gambit and who would play him. As TotalFilm mentioned the rumours of Channing Tatum being eyed for the character, Donner confirmed that Tatum would portray the character in the next X-Men film.

She continued, “He’s a rogue, Channing — he’s a rascal, just like Remy LeBeau. And he can handle the action, we all know that. And he’s got a really good heart … I think he’ll be great for Gambit.”

You can take a look at the full video below, and be sure to let us know what you think of the news! Is there anyone else you’d have preferred for the role? Will you miss Taylor Kitsch? Sound out below!

Even though we haven’t seen this summer’s ‘X-Men: Days of Future Past’ yet, Bryan Singer took to Twitter today to tease that a new X-Men movie is on it’s way… in 2016!

And the proposed title of the film has us all stoked: ‘X-Men: Apocalypse’. That’s either a reference to one of the X-Men’s biggest villains (um, Apocalypse, duh) or just the fact that things are going to get straight up apocalyptic for Marvel’s band of merry mutants.

Fox confirmed that the movie will be released Memorial Day weekend on May 27, 2016 even though Disney’s ‘Alice in Wonderland 2’ will arrive that same day. Seeing as both of the previous movies in those franchises made big money, look for one of them to shift dates. Disney VS Fox… who’s going to flinch?

‘X-Men: Days of Future Past’, out this summer, features stars from his original X-Men films and Matthew Vaughn’s ‘X-Men: First Class’, ideally for fans in a move that will streamline the universe in order to move forward towards the previously announced ‘X-Factor’ and ‘Deadpool’ films (and let’s not count out a possible ‘Fantastic 4’ crossover… like that time in the comics where both teams went to Latveria and duked it out with Doom… remember that!?!).

‘X-Men: Days of Future Past’ is arriving May 23, 204.
