Jessica Jones is back. She is still angry. She is still drinking. She still does not want a sidekick.

The Netflix trailer that was released on Wednesday gives viewers a look into the new season and into the backstory of Jessica Jones. In the trailer, she explains that her parents died in a terrible car accident, someone did experiments on her, and she wants to know how many more like her are out there. With seventeen years of questions, it’s time for her to get some answers. Simple things, right?

It might cost her though. At the end of the trailer, there is someone clapping their hands, almost mockingly. Who is that with Jessica on the roof? Could it be the return of Killgrave? Or someone else?

Season 2 of Jessica Jones brings back Kristen Ritter, Rachael Taylor, Carrie-Ann Moss, and Eka Darville. New seasons of Daredevil and Iron Fist are expected to be released later this year.

Take a look at the trailer below and let us know what you think!

2017 is looking like the year of Fire Emblem, with its multiple releases being topped off with Fire Emblem Warriors this fall. By adapting the Dynasty Warriors formula to Nintendo’s fantasy RPG, this can end up being an even better fit than the surprisingly addictive Hyrule Warriors a few years ago. Now that the first full trailer has been released however, I’m afraid that a series known for its diverse rosters might be playing it a bit too safe.

Starting two original characters who are recruiting the Fire Emblem greats to help them save their world, the trailer showed off Chrom from Awakening, female Corrin, Ryoma and Xander from Fire Emblem Fates, and Marth, the series poster child. But as anyone can tell you who’s been hooked on the mobile game over the last few months, these games have a giant cast spanning nearly 20 years. Disappointingly, as with most of the Fire Emblem content like Tokyo Mirage Sessions, Warriors is already looking like it will only focus on the newer games and the original.

So where does it leave popular protagonists like Lyn, Eirika, Ephraim and Hector? Or popular supporting cast members? While I’m almost positive that the Smash Bros characters like Roy and Ike will make the cut, while Alm and Celica have a good shot considering Echoes just released, part of the reason why I’m so excited for this game is the potential cast it can bring together. If it only focuses on the most recent games, then it’ll end up as a huge missed opportunity for the Fire Emblem faithful. I’m holding onto hope for future reveals, but I guess there’s always DLC if it doesn’t pan out.

The good news is that the trailer itself looks amazing in motion, which you can check out below! Who do you hope makes the cut in Fire Emblem Warriors? Give us your dream teams in the comments!

The popular action-comedy anime One-Punch Man will see its North American home release debut this Spring, courtesy of VIZ Media. The series follows the trials of Saitama, a superhero hopeful whose years of special training left him so overpowered that a single punch knocks any who oppose him flat on their behinds! Check out the trailer below to get a taste of the action (and humor).

This release will be available as a Blu-Ray/DVD combo pack ($59.99), a Standard Edition Blu-Ray set ($49.99), and a Standard Edition DVD-only set ($39.99). The combo pack is a special edition that also includes an exclusive chipboard box, six OVA animated shorts (also available on the Standard Edition Blu-Ray set), six art cards, and a full-color booklet with episode summaries, character profiles, interviews with the team, and more. And of course, Blu-Ray episodes are presented in 1080p HD (DVD ones are 480p). Regardless of which set you choose, it will contain episodes 1-12 of the series, available both in original Japanese dialogue with English subtitles as well as English dialogue.

The Blu-ray/DVD combo pack is limited in edition and available for pre-order now at many retail sites as well as brick and mortar locations. But if you choose to place your order through Right Stuf, you will also receive a special, yet-to-be-revealed gift with purchase (while supplies last). The other two versions are likewise currently available for pre-order at the same places. All are scheduled to release on April 25.

Hot on the heels of Monday’s plot reveal; we have ourselves something truly incredible. Check out the latest trailer for Logan.

Personally I wasn’t totally on board with Logan. The first teaser trailer didn’t do it for me. It just felt like another X-Men movie, but with the added emotional hostage taking of Johnny Cash’s Hurt. Today’s trailer put me in the boots of Wolverine. I got invested in the characters, and for a trailer to do that means this film should be on point.

Logan is directed by James Mangold and stars Hugh Jackman, Patrick Stewart, Richard E. Grant, Boyd Holbrook, Stephen Merchant, and Dafne Keen.

Catch it in theaters March 3rd.

Many of today’s adult nerds can remember watching Power Rangers on their clunky television sets as children. The Amercan-ized version of the first season  is getting a very swanky movie remake and I can imagine many of us will be lining up to buy tickets. A shiny, new trailer was released today for the film. Let’s have a look.

With its somewhat darker tone, I feel like the film is catering more to the older fans who grew up with the series. That is not to say it looks bad by any means, quite the opposite in fact. I had my doubts initially but this trailer has piqued my interest in the title.

What was your reaction to this trailer? Let us know in the comments!

Disney released its first full trailer for its live action Beauty and the Beast. It’s the re-telling of the classic 1991 original animated film, but on a larger, grander scale. Being the first Disney movie that was basically a musical in animation form, seeing what they have done with the technological advances is going to be fun.

In this trailer, we get glimpses of Kevin Kline who plays Belle’s father Maurice. We see what the Beast, who is played by Dan Stevens looks like and how the other characters – Lumiere, Mrs. Potts, and Cogsworth (Ewan McGregor, Emma Thompson, and Sir. Ian McKellan) are brought to life. We also see Luke Evan’s Gaston.

With the characters, we see more of the Castle and bits and pieces of the town Belle comes from. Granted it revolves around Gaston and not Belle, but regardless – the sets, along with the costumes, look marvelous.

The movie is slated to be released in March 2017. Will you be running for the theater to check out this tale that’s old as time?  Watch the trailer below and let us know what you think.

The second trailer for this years Star Wars film, Rogue One, has just hit the internet. And it is FUCKING incredible. I think I am more excited for this than I was Episove VII. Check it out below.

This trailer is incredible. Director Gareth Edwards really knows how to make stuff feel MASSIVE on film. The music, produced by French composer Alexandre Desplat (Godzilla, Syriana, Argo), is OUTSTANDING. I honestly think this is going to do more than Episode VII. It feels more “real”.

Star Wars: Rogue One hits theaters this December 16th and stars  Felicity Jones, Diego Luna, Riz Ahmed, Ben Mendelsohn, Jiang Wen, Donnie Yen, Forest Whitaker, Mads Mikkelsen, Alan Tudyk and Jonathan Aris.

Spud, Renton, Sick Boy and Begbie are all back in the sequel to the monumental cult classic, Trainspotting. Check out the trailer for T2 below.

We aren’t really getting much from this trailer, other than goosebumps of seeing the original cast back together.

Trainspotting was the 1996, Danny Boyle directed, dark comedy about a group of Heroin addicts getting by in the slummy areas of Edinburgh.

Nothing much to go on plot wise, T2 will be a continuation of the story from the original.

T2; Trainspsotting hits US theaters February 10th, and UK theaters January 27th. The film stars Ewan McGregor, Ewen Bremner, Jonny Lee Miller and Robert Carlyle.

The lead up to the release o Final Fantasy XV has been a doozy (we all just want the friggin game okay?). Little did we know that the accompanying film Kingsglaive: Final Fantasy XV would be so awesome looking. Fresh off the Japanese theatrical release, is the jaw dropping trailer for the English version. Get hyped.

This just goes to show that Square Enix knows how to make gorgeous art. Watching this trailer I got some major nostalgia from when Advent Children released.

Kingsglaive story runs concurrently with the events of Final Fantasy XV, and follows the father of the games lead. The films main characters are from an elite guard known as the Kingsglaive. They are tasked with protecting the kingdom of Lucis from the attacking kingdom of Niflheim.

You can get your eyes on Kingsglaive: Final Fantasy XV in a few ways. It will be coming bundled with certain collectors edition of the game, available on the Playstation Store August 30th and will have a limited theatrical run.

Kingsglaive: Final Fantasy XV stars Aaron Paul, Lena Headey, Sean Bean, Adrian Bouchet, Liam Mulvey and Andrea Tivadar.

This is one of the most surprising trailers to come out of Comic Con this year, and it has me super excited.

The classic comic book characters Asterix and Obelix are returning to the big screen in what looks like a great animated adventure. Check out the trailer below.

Being a US citizen, I never had a whole lot of exposure to the ancient duo. I was introduced to the the series via the 2004 Gamecube game Asterix & Obelix: XXL.

The Mansions of The Gods is based off the comic of the same name from 1973, where our titular heroes rebel against Julius Caeser as he tries to take over their village.

The film does not have a US release date yet, but hits theaters in the UK August 19th. It also marks the first foray into 3D for the series.

It stars Jack Whitehall, Nick Frost, Catherine Tate, Matt Berry, Greg Davies, Harry Enfield, Dick and Dom and Jim Broadbent

Today marks the release of the latest trailer of Pokémon Sun/Moon in Japan. The video showcased a plethora of new monsters that players can look forward to collecting. As for the Pokémon designs, well, its kind of a mixed bag. Let’s take a look at the video.

If you couldn’t catch all of the information flying at you (there was quite a bit), here are some of the highlights:

PokemonSMtrailer8

First, there is the electric/fairy-type, Kapu-Kokeko. I would assume this is one is tied to the story in some way, judging by the little cutscene at the beginning of the trailer.

PokemonSMtrailer7

PokemonSMtrailer6

Next is the bug/electric-type Denjimushi and its evolution, Kuwaganon. Odd-looking thing, isn’t it?

PokemonSMtrailer5

My favorite is this one, the Jijiiron. It is a derpy yet majestic normal/dragon-type.

PokemonSMtrailer4

In the “what on earth?” category is this water/psyhic-type, Hagigishiri. My guess is that the design is supposed to invoke fish native to Hawaii while making monstrous.

PokemonSMtrailer3

This is the bug/fairy-type, Aburii. Not much I can say on this one. A bee-mosquito hybrid?

PokemonSMtrailer2

This round, ball of cuteness is the electric/steel-type togedemaru.

PokemonSMtrailer1

The final highlight is Zygarde’s new form, dubbed “Perfect Form.”

Wow! That is a lot of new stuff to digest. What is your opinion of the new Pokémon shown today?

Briefly: X-Men: Apocalypse is finally almost here, and the film may be receiving a mixed reception thus far, but it’d be hard to deny that this new viral video is fantastic.

The video plays off like a cheesy 1980’s VHS tape, and has Lana Condor’s Jubilee essentially making you want to enrol in Xavier’s School For Gifted Youngsters.

Take a look at the video below, and be sure to let us know what you think! X-Men: Apocalypse hits theatres on May 27th!

She sure makes the school look like a peaceful place, doesn’t she?

Also, that phone number at the end of the video? Be sure to give it a call.

Following the critically acclaimed global smash hit X-Men: Days of Future Past, director Bryan Singer returns with X-MEN: APOCALYPSE. Since the dawn of civilization, he was worshipped as a god. Apocalypse, the first and most powerful mutant from Marvel’s X-Men universe, amassed the powers of many other mutants, becoming immortal and invincible. Upon awakening after thousands of years, he is disillusioned with the world as he finds it and recruits a team of powerful mutants, including a disheartened Magneto (Michael Fassbender), to cleanse mankind and create a new world order, over which he will reign. As the fate of the Earth hangs in the balance, Raven (Jennifer Lawrence) with the help of Professor X (James McAvoy) must lead a team of young X-Men to stop their greatest nemesis and save mankind from complete destruction.

We live in strange times. Strange times indeed.

Snowden is the stylized, “Hollywood” take on the Edward Snowden story. EX-CIA contractor who leaked documents detailing a global surveillance program perpetrated by the NSA. It was such a perverse invasion of privacy that it spurred countless investigations into the US Government, many of which are still going on today.

TL;DR NSA has your dick pics. Seriously.

Check out the trailer for Snowden.

I really don’t feel too “right” about this movie. Joseph Gordon Levitt does a TERRIBLE job impersonating Edward Snowden, and Zachary Quinto as Glenn Greenwald?

This is going to attempt to distill a very important story down into a 2 hour drama. Why all the sex? Why all the weird “hacking” graphics? I feel like director Oliver Stone was attempting to recreate the famous Hack The Gibson scene from Hackers.

https://youtu.be/8wXBe2jTdx4

It’s the Julian Assange story all over again.

Snowden hits theaters September 16th. Do yourself a favor and see Citizenfour first.

We’re a little under a month away from the release of the next in the X-Men franchise, and the hype machine is starting to hit the redline. Check out the final trailer for X-Men: Apocalupse

Following the critically acclaimed global smash hit X-Men: Days of Future Past, director Bryan Singer returns with X-MEN: APOCALYPSE. Since the dawn of civilization, he was worshipped as a god. My only question; Why do mutants hate bridges so much? X-3 and now THIS!

X-Men: Apocalypse hits theaters May 27th!

Briefly: Rian Johnson’s Star Wars: Episode VIII is now filming.

Disney revealed the news today, noting new cast members, and showing off a quick teaser that features Rey and Luke together once again (right where we left them). It certainly had me reminiscing about The Force Awakens, and had me wondering if I should be headed to one last IMAX showing before the film leaves theatres.

The company also revealed that Academy Award winner Benicio Del Toro, Academy Award nominee Laura Dern, and newcomer Kelly Marie Tran have joined the project.

As a huge fan of Johnson’s Brick and Looper, I could not be more excited for Star Wars: Episode VIII. Hell, after simply watching The Force Awakens, I could not be more excited for Episode VIII. Take a look at the teaser and full announcement below, and let us know who you’d like to see the new talent portray!

Star Wars: Episode VIII hits theatres on December 15th, 2017 (because of that delay, remember)!

Rey took her first steps into a larger world in Star Wars: The Force Awakens and will continue her epic journey with Finn, Poe, and Luke Skywalker in the next chapter of the continuing Star Wars saga, Star Wars: Episode VIII, which began principal photography at Pinewood Studios in London on February 15, 2016.

Star Wars: Episode VIII, which is written and directed by Rian Johnson and continues the storylines introduced in Star Wars: The Force Awakens, welcomes back cast members Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, Adam Driver, Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, Lupita Nyong’o, Domhnall Gleeson, Anthony Daniels, Gwendoline Christie, and Andy Serkis.  New cast members will include Academy Award winner Benicio Del Toro, Academy Award nominee Laura Dern, and talented newcomer Kelly Marie Tran.

Star Wars: Episode VIII is produced by Kathleen Kennedy and Ram Bergman and executive produced by J.J. Abrams, Jason McGatlin, and Tom Karnowski. Joining the production crew will be some of the industry’s top talent, including Steve Yedlin (Director of Photography), Bob Ducsay (Editor), Rick Heinrichs (Production Designer), Peter Swords King (Hair and Make-Up Designer), and Mary Vernieu (US Casting Director). They will be joining returning crew members Pippa Anderson (Co-Producer, VP Post Production), Neal Scanlan (Creature & Droid FX Creative Supervisor), Michael Kaplan (Costume Designer), Jamie Wilkinson (Prop Master), Chris Corbould (SFX Supervisor), Rob Inch (Stunt Coordinator), Ben Morris (VFX Supervisor), and Nina Gold (UK Casting Director).

Star Wars: Episode VIII is scheduled for release December 15, 2017

Briefly: Following the film’s latest TV spot (which I still haven’t watched) from just yesterday, Disney has officially debuted a new character poster for its upcoming Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

This time, it features everyone’s new favourite character in the entire franchise, the adorable ball droid BB-8.

BB8

Yep. Cute as hell.

I swear that each and every time I see a picture of the little guy, it makes it even harder to not buy the incredible Sphero BB-8 toy.

In any case, can you believe that we’re just nine days away from the release? How freaking excited are you? Sound out below!

Briefly: I’ve been itching to re-watch Guillermo Del Toro’s Crimson Peak since the very moment that the credits started rolling during my screening. The film shows off depth and beauty like only a Del Toro picture can, and the film’s unfortunate theatrical marketing had many moviegoers ignore the film as it simply looked like a B-horror film.

It’s not a horror at all, and it’s one of my favourite films of 2015. Jonathan and I talked about the film on Geekscape back in September, and I can’t wait to watch it again when it hits Blu-Ray on February 9th.

I’m a sucker for special features, and the Crimson Peak Blu-Ray won’t disappoint in that department, either. Here are the Blu-Ray exclusive features:

-I Remember Crimson Peak: A series of interviews with director Guillermo del Toro and his standout cast, Mia Wasikowska, Tom Hiddleston and Jessica Chastain.

-A Living Thing: An army of artisans was amassed to construct the Sharpe mansion on North America’s largest soundstage. Witness first-hand and in great detail the construction of Del Toro’s most elaborate set to date.

-A Primer on Gothic Romance: Employing his encyclopedic knowledge and passion for the genre, Guillermo del Toro traces the lineage of Gothic Romance in cinema. Using Crimson Peak as the basis, Del Toro outlines the history of cinematic terror and illuminates the differences between traditional scares and elevated horror.

-Crimson Phantoms: Del Toro’s approach to make-up effects is discussed by award-winning effects house DDT. In this piece, they offer an exclusive look inside their workshop, where they deconstruct the creation of the film’s most disturbing prosthetic effects. The discussion delves into the mythology of these elegant creatures and how Del Toro’s belief in the supernatural informed the design and narrative of the ghosts

-Hand Tailored Gothic: Costume designer Kate Hawley unravels her collaboration with Del Toro and reveals the symbolism constantly at play in the wardrobe’s design.

And the features that will be found on the DVD and Blu-Ray:

-Deleted Scenes

-The Light and Dark of Crimson Peak: Crimson Peak offers a stylized turn of the century with carefully crafted visuals that provide the perfect backdrop for Del Toro’s brand of psychological horror. Follow the phases of production to discover a booming America and a dark and removed England portrayed with a multi-layered sophistication unlike any seen in recent cinema.

-Beware Of Crimson Peak: Tom Hiddleston (Sir Thomas Sharpe) offers a walking tour of the many secret spaces in Allerdale Hall.

-Feature Commentary with co-writer and Director Guillermo Del Toro

Del Toro’s films are always ripe with amazing symbolism, and I cannot wait to hear what he has to say on the film’s commentary track.

Re-watch the Crimson Peak trailer below, and let us know if you’re looking forward to the release!

Briefly: I stopped watching Star Wars: The Force Awakens marketing a long time ago (ha ha), but if you’re interested, Disney has just released the 4000th TV spot for the upcoming film.

Yes, they’ve been doing a phenomenal job marketing the film (and selling me stuff), but I’ll be happy to head into the film in just a couple of weeks knowing nearly nothing about it.

In any case, the new spot is subtitled ‘Secret’, and is embedded below for your viewing pleasure. Star Wars: The Force Awakens hits theatres on December 18th!

At this years E3 the entire gaming community was stunned (well most of us were) when Square announced they were FINALLY releasing a remake of the legendary Final Fantasy VII. There were rumors going around for years (especially after the PS3 Tech Demo showing off FF7 assets was released), but we’re getting what we’ve been asking for!

Today, Sony released this trailer showing off in-game footage of the upcoming remake. Check it out for yourself!

First thing to notice, is that the game looks absolutely gorgeous! It’s like it could be a sequel to Advent Children for Christ sake!

The biggest take away from the in game footage, is that it looks as if they’re ditching the turn based/time based battle mechanics of the original, for an action RPG style from the upcoming Final Fantasy XV. That will undoubtedly cause a huge rift in the games die hard fans. I for one welcome the new battle system.

No release date has been announced, but you can be SURE you will find out here on Geekscape!

We we’re all patiently awaiting the release of the theatrical trailer for Batman V Superman to hit the airwaves during Jimmy Kimmel tonight. WELL the film’s official Facebook went and released it ahead of schedule. SO HERE IT IS!

We’re finally getting an idea of what we can expect as far as “plot”. After the synopsis leak from last month, we learned that Lex Luthor may be pitting the two heroes against each other. Now we have it!

The best part of this whole trailer? We’re getting to see Gal Gadot in action as Wonder Woman. I’m honestly more excited to see her performance over the titular characters duking it out.

For more of our thoughts, read new Geekscape writer Matthew Morrell’s opinion piece!

Batman V Superman hit’s theaters March 25, 2016!

Can you believe it’s almost here?

Yep. We’re officially less than one month away from Star Wars: The Force Awakens beyond-anticipated release date, and to mark the occasion, the latest issue of Empire Magazine is being distributed with six different The Force Awakens themed covers.

The images feature various heroes and villains from the upcoming feature, including Adam Driver’s Kylo Ren, Han Solo & Chewbacca, Gwendoline Christie’s Captain Phasma, Oscar Isaac’s Poe Dameron, John Boyega’s Finn, and Daisy Ridley’s Rey.

Nope, no Luke Skywalker. What is going on with that guy anyways?

Star Wars: The Force Awakens hits theatres on December 18th!

Briefly: Just hours before we get another new look at Star Wars: The Force Awakens on ABC tonight, Disney has debuted the official, officially gorgeous IMAX poster for the film online.

It’s a simple image, featuring Rey, our new favourite droid BB-8, and a massive Jakku sun (that I imagine would look stunning on that giant IMAX screen), and it’s yet another piece of The Force Awakens art that I would absolutely love to have on my wall.

Take a look at the poster below, and be sure to let us know what you’re most excited to see in the film! Star Wars: The Force Awakens hits theatres on December 14th!

star-wars-imax

Freaking beautiful, isn’t it?

Source: StarWars.com

Briefly: When the ‘final’ trailer for Star Wars: The Force Awakens debuted back in October, fans everywhere (me included), expected Lucasfilm and Disney to go dark, and, well, to stop releasing new footage for the film.

Since then, we’ve seen a few TV spots and a spoilery new international trailer (which I still haven’t seen), and today Grey’s Anatomy creator Shonda Rhimes took to Twitter to let us know that Disney is still not done with us yet.

How there will be any new footage left when the movie actually releases I have no idea.

I’ve stopped watching the marketing for the film, as I’d like to be as surprised as possible when The Force Awakens finally hits on December 17th. That said, I’ve heard nothing but good things about the footage released thus far, and it’s beyond tempting to take a look.

Are you down for yet another look at the film? Would you prefer to be left in the dark at this point? Be sure to let us know!

[POTENTIAL SPOILER WARNING: If you want to avoid being spoiled with additional plot information on Star Wars: The Force Awakens, hit the back button on your browser now.]

Star Wars fans got a treat today as a brand-new trailer for Star Wars: The Force Awakens was uploaded to Youtube’s Japanese channel for Walt Disney Studios. Let’s take a look.

https://youtu.be/SdAUiyeJMFQ

Wow! What mostly sets this one apart from previous trailers is the way it is laid out. More scenery and locales are depicted with slightly less action shown.

One line that stood out was a variation from what was shown in earlier teasers. Before, Han Solo said “It’s true,” seemingly referencing “the Dark Side, the Jedi, all of it. They are real.” But in this trailer, he says “The Force … It’s true. All of it.” The first trailer had no mention of the Force. Curious.

Did anything jump out as significant to you? Post your theories and reactions in the comment section!

Briefly: Falloutscape? Basically. As the launch of one of my most anticipated games of all time steadily approaches, we’ve been getting into some pretty heavy Fallout coverage here at Geekscape.

I’d expect that to continue through to Tuesday of next week, when I may just disappear forever. Not into Fallout 4? What’s wrong with you?

In any case, Tuesday isn’t here just yet, and the Fallout coverage continues. Following the game’s official launch trailer earlier today, I’m happy to report that the Fallout 4 Pip-Boy app for iOS and Android is now available, and that the app will also be launching for Windows Phone in the near future.

The app is a second screen experience for Fallout 4 that will allow players to manage their inventory, check their stats, play some small, stylized games, view the game’s map, your current quests, and access other game-related information on the go. As of now, of course, it’s limited to a mini-game called Atomic Command, and a demo mode where you can take a look at some of the app’s other functionality.

Every Fallout 4 player will be able to use the app, but it’s most exciting for those of us who were lucky enough to get our hands on Fallout 4‘s elusive Pip-Boy edition. The special edition includes a wearable Pip-Boy, which, when paired with the Pip-Boy app, will get you as close to becoming a real lone wanderer as you can get!

The app is extremely well done (and Atomic Command is good fun for now), and I certainly can’t wait to see how it feels using it in-game come Tuesday.

You can grab the app from the iOS App Store here, and Google Play here. Be sure to let us know just how excited you are for the game to release!

Quentin Tarantino’s eighth theatrical release is almost upon us, and the folks over at the Weinstein Company have just released the official trailer. It oozes with style, energy and an aesthetic that has me excited as hell. Check out The Hateful Eight below!

https://youtu.be/6_UI1GzaWv0

In THE HATEFUL EIGHT, set six or eight or twelve years after the Civil War, a stagecoach hurtles through the wintry Wyoming landscape. The passengers, bounty hunter John Ruth (Russell) and his fugitive Daisy Domergue (Leigh), race towards the town of Red Rock where Ruth, known in these parts as “The Hangman,” will bring Domergue to justice. Along the road, they encounter two strangers: Major Marquis Warren (Jackson), a black former union soldier turned infamous bounty hunter, and Chris Mannix (Goggins), a southern renegade who claims to be the town’s new Sheriff. Losing their lead on the blizzard, Ruth, Domergue, Warren and Mannix seek refuge at Minnie’s Haberdashery, a stagecoach stopover on a mountain pass. When they arrive at Minnie’s, they are greeted not by the proprietor but by four unfamiliar faces. Bob (Bichir), who’s taking care of Minnie’s while she’s visiting her mother, is holed up with Oswaldo Mobray (Roth), the hangman of Red Rock, cow-puncher Joe Gage (Madsen), and Confederate General Sanford Smithers (Dern). As the storm overtakes the mountainside stopover, our eight travelers come to learn they may not make it to Red Rock after all…

The Hateful Eight hit’s select theaters Christmas day, and you can catch it EVERYWHERE January 8th 2016!

Briefly: Greatest of all time?

It certainly looks that way.

If you’ve been following Geekscape (or Geekscape Games) for any amount of time, you’ll know just how excited I am for Fallout 4 to finally release on November 10th. It feels as though it’s been ages since I’ve been able to have a new Fallout experience, and it’s pretty clear to most gamers that Fallout 4 could be Bethesda’s most ambitious and time-consuming games of all time.

And I cannot wait to explore this new wasteland.

With just a few days to go until the rest of the world disappears (because only Fallout matters on November 10th), Bethesda has just released the gorgeous launch trailer for the incoming title, and… I’m just going to leave it on repeat for the next few days.

You can take a look at the wondrous launch trailer below, get a Pip-Boy look for your Apple Watch, drive some Fallout cars in Forza 6, and be sure to let us know how you’re planning to spend your final few days before Fallout 4.

Briefly: As much of a mess as last year’s Assassin’s Creed: Unity turned out to be, the just-released trailer for Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate… actually looks pretty cool.

I mean, none of the characters look to be losing their faces, or falling through the city, or <insert bug here>, so that’s already a marked improvement over last year’s game.

Plus, a London setting? Way cooler than last year.

In any case, you can take a look at the bloody launch trailer below, and let us know if you plan to give this year’s Assassin’s Creed a chance? Me? I’ve got about 100 games in my backlog right now, but I’m definitely itching for some of that parkour action.

You can also take a look at the ‘Gangs 101’ video below, in which director Scott Phillips takes us through the new gang and influence system in Syndicate.

Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate hits Xbox One, PS4, and PC tomorrow!

It’s always great seeing video game companies taking their vision of an interactive narrative, and translating it to the “real world”. We’ve seen Bungie do it countless times and knock it out of the park. Now we can add Bethesda to that list. Check out The Wanderer for Fallout 4.

https://youtu.be/k3IlHBBGCIw

Granted it’s not 100% live action, but what is anymore these days? If you ain’t pumped full of silicon and CG then you ain’t getting attention!

Fallout 4 hits store shelves November 10th on PC, PS4 and Xbox One.

We’ve shown you the screen shots. We’ve shown you the SDCC 2015 trailer. Now, take a gander at the newest trailer for the next big thing on TV. Outcast.

OUTCAST, based on the Skybound/Image comic title by Robert Kirkman, creator of “The Walking Dead,” and artist Paul Azaceta, follows Kyle Barnes (Patrick Fugit), a young man who has been plagued by demonic possession all his life. Now, with the help of the Reverend Anderson (Philip Glenister), a preacher with demons of his own, Kyle embarks on a journey to find answers and regain the normal life he lost.
