Will there be a Punisher Season 3? With Marvel’s deal with Netflix almost at an end (Jessica Jones Season 3 is still on its way) it appears unlikely. But we still have Season 2 to deal with so I sit down with Ian Kerner to talk through the 13 episodes story arch. Right off the bat, I say that Punisher Season 1 may be my favorite Marvel Netflix show… so is Season 2 another bad ass brawl-fest? What’s up with Billy Russo becoming Jigsaw? Is Frank in full on Punisher mode when we meet him? Is this season as solid as the first? Where does it rank amongst the other Marvel Netflix shows? And what might be the future for these characters after Netflix? Ian and I do a deep dive through all these subjects so get ready and here is your SPOILER WARNING!

Jessica Jones is back. She is still angry. She is still drinking. She still does not want a sidekick.

The Netflix trailer that was released on Wednesday gives viewers a look into the new season and into the backstory of Jessica Jones. In the trailer, she explains that her parents died in a terrible car accident, someone did experiments on her, and she wants to know how many more like her are out there. With seventeen years of questions, it’s time for her to get some answers. Simple things, right?

It might cost her though. At the end of the trailer, there is someone clapping their hands, almost mockingly. Who is that with Jessica on the roof? Could it be the return of Killgrave? Or someone else?

Season 2 of Jessica Jones brings back Kristen Ritter, Rachael Taylor, Carrie-Ann Moss, and Eka Darville. New seasons of Daredevil and Iron Fist are expected to be released later this year.

Take a look at the trailer below and let us know what you think!

Netflix digs deep into the Marvel library for their upcoming original series, The Defenders. The show sees a partnership between heroes Daredevil (Charlie Cox), Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter), Luke Cage (Mike Colter), and Iron Fist (Finn Jones) as they fight to take on enemies both on the battlefield and within themselves. Netflix published a trailer for The Defenders on Youtube yesterday, which can be watched just below this sentence.

As you can see, while the show does have a tinge of angst, it also has some humor in it. That scarf comment about a minute and forty seconds into the video certainly made me laugh. I can imagine this will be a “dream show” for fans of these popular characters.

Marvel’s The Defenders launches on Netflix worldwide on August 18, 2017. Are you planning on tuning in?

Ian Kerner is back to break down all 13 episodes of Netflix and Marvel’s latest series ‘Iron Fist’! This series was met with a ton of controversy from the beginning… so did it hold up? We talk about what worked, what we want to see from ‘Iron Fist’ Season 2 and ‘The Defenders’ and why how it all compares to the comics! Was ‘Iron Fist’ worth watching? Yes. It’s that wonderful time of the week again, new comic book day! Choosing what to read can be daunting (and expensive!). Don’t worry though, Geekscape has you covered. Each week we give a few best bets for a comic book that you’re sure to enjoy. Let’s get into it!

DC

DC is on such a high right now. Their Batman books are solid, their Superman books are solid. Young Animal is maturing. They’re pumping out tons of awesome content, but this week there is one title that jumps off my pull list…

Justice League/Power Rangers #1
📝 Tom Taylor
🎨 Stephen Byrne, Eduardo Nunez

Two of comics greatest teams team up for the very first time! Something terrible has happened in Angel Grove! When the Command Center is breached and the teleporters are damaged, Zack is flung into another universe, where he’s mistaken for a villain by a mysterious masked vigilante. Can the other Power Rangers get to their friend in time to save him from Batman? Co-published with BOOM! Studios.

Well, I’m sure we’ve all thought of it before in either our dreams, action figure battles, or discussions with friends and now we finally get to see it unfold in comic books! That’s right, it’s Power Rangers + Justice League. Need I say more?

Marvel

Jessica Jones #4
📝 Brian Michael Bendis
🎨 Michael Gaydos

Jessica Jones latest case has revealed a new hidden evil in the Marvel Universe. An evil so terrifying she was willing to rip her family apart to save them from it. But was the sacrifice enough? Another all-new blistering chapter of Marvel’s premier detective.

This series is getting good. It’ll scratch the itch while you wait for more Marvel Netflix content.

Briefly: Always forward.

Finally, after way, way too long a wait, Netflix has confirmed that Luke Cage will be receiving a second season.

Naturally, Netflix didn’t reveal just when we’ll be able to watch the next set of episodes, but I’d imagine it’ll be quite some time, seeing as we still have The DefendersIron Fist, and more Jessica Jones to get through first.

For now, take a look at the reveal teaser below, and we’ll be sure to share more as soon as the news comes in.

It’s that wonderful time of the week again, new comic book day! Choosing what to read can be daunting (and expensive!). Don’t worry though, Geekscape has you covered. Each week we give our best bet for a comic book that you’re sure to enjoy. Let’s get into it!

Honorable Mentions

Oh baby! Marvel is bringing it this week! Thanos returns to the Marvel comics spotlight with the Jeff Lemire and Mike Deodato Jr. helmed, Thanos #1. We are being delivered a double-dose of Clone Conspiracy tie-ins with Amazing Spider-Man #21 and Silk #14. While I enjoyed the character in Spider-Verse, this’ll be the first actual Silk book I read! The Doctor Doom as Iron Man story continues in Infamous Iron Man #2. Brian Michael Bendis and Michael Gaydos continue their new run on Jessica Jones with issue #2. If you were a fan of their original run, or the Jessica Jones or Luke Cage Netflix series’, this book is a no-brainer.

As far as DC goes, the Superman and Batman books are amongst my favourite of the Rebirth titles right now and we get new issues of each, #11 and #11 (yeah, I put the ‘and’ in there so I could link them up 😂). I know I sound like a broken record but the father-son dynamic going on in Superman is so damn good. As far as Batman goes, we got Bane back, what’s not to love about that?

Image has a couple of titles out this week that you should be reading. First, we have Reborn #2, issue 1 didn’t let us down and here’s hoping Millar and Capullo can continue to wow us with issue 2 of their sci-fi fantasy. Next, comic book masters Brubaker and Phillip’s conclude the first arc of their latest book, Kill Or Be Killed #4.

Best Bet

Ether #1
📝 Matt Kindt
🎨 David Rubin

A science-minded adventurer gets mixed up in the mysteries of a fantasy world in this charming new adventure from an award-winning creative team. Boone Dias is an interdimensional explorer, a scientist from Earth who has stumbled into great responsibility. He’s got an explanation for everything, so of course the Ether’s magical residents turn to him to solve their toughest crimes. But maybe keeping the real and the abstract separate is too big a job for just one man.

If you’ve been reading this for awhile, you’ll know I’m a huge fan of Matt and Sharlene Kindt’s Dept. H. This week we get a new Dark Horse Comics book from Kindt, Ether #1. With one science fiction fantasy title on our pull list in Reborn, you’d think there wouldn’t be room for another but with Kindt’s name on it, I can’t imagine it not being awesome. His love for comic books is apparent in everything I’ve read of his so far, he takes advantage of everything the medium as to offer. There’s no reason to think we won’t do it again with Ether.

You guys asked and now you guys receive… Ian Kerner breaking down more superhero events! This time, Ian and I recap and talk about Netflix’s latest superhero series ‘Luke Cage’! Where does it rank among the Marvel offerings so far! Is this truly Marvel’s ‘The Wire’? And what implications does ‘Luke Cage’ have for ‘Iron Fist’ and ‘The Defenders’? And don’t say we didn’t warn you about the SPOILERS!

Jeph Loeb, Executive Producer and Marvel’s Head of Television, moderated the NYCC panel Marvel and Netflix and was packed with surprise appearances and announcements. Is started off with the cast of ‘Iron Fist’ making an appearance to introduce the teaser trailer.  Surprise guests included an appearance by Erik LaRay Harvey (Diamondback), Jon Bernthal (Frank Castle/The Punisher), and Deborah Ann Woll (Karen Page), which it was announced that she will be joining the cast of ‘The Punisher’.

The end of the very end of the panel featured the biggest surprise of the night when the main cast of the ‘The Defenders’ united on stage for the first time. Charlie Cox (Matt Murdock/Daredevil), Krysten Ritter (Jessica Jones) , Mike Colter (Luke Cage), and from joined Finn Jones (Danny Rand).

There was one more surprise guest, Sigourney Weaver (Avatar and Aliens), and it was revealed that she would be playing the villain of the series. There was no announcement of who she would actually be portraying. There is no doubt that the Hand will be a force to reckon with, so maybe she will be a part of the clan.

Briefly: Following that phenomenal sizzle reel that Netflix released last month at SDCC, the company has finally debuted the key art for its next highly anticipated Marvel series, Luke Cage.

We’re still way too far off from the September 30th premiere, which really, really can’t come close enough, but… at least we can re-watch Stranger Things a few more times before this one finally releases?

After a sabotaged experiment leaves him with super strength and unbreakable skin, Luke Cage (Mike Colter) becomes a fugitive who attempts to rebuild his life in modern day Harlem, New York City. But soon he is pulled out of the shadows and must fight a battle for the heart of his city – forcing him to confront a past he had tried to bury.

Take a look at the art below, and be sure to let us know if you’re excited for this one.

Briefly: Aw yiss.

We were all expecting to see some footage from Marvel / Netflix’ Luke Cage during the San Diego Comic-Con panel, but I certainly didn’t expect to be blown away by the footage that was shown.

Yeah, it’s definitely a teaser, and doesn’t reveal much at all about what we’ll see in the series, but I’ll be damned if it isn’t a blast to watch. The sound track and the slow-motion action fit together perfectly, and we cannot freaking wait for the September 30th debut.

Briefly: Netflix doesn’t go to San Diego Comic-Con.

The company has been producing some of the most loved, talked about, recommended, and anticipated series for years now, and though they craft some of the very best products bearing the Marvel moniker, Netflix still hasn’t made an appearance in San Diego.

That, according to Deadline, is set to change this year with Luke Cage.

It appears that Cage himself, Mike Coulter will be in attendance, along with showrunner Cheo Hodari Coker and co-star Alfre Woodward. Rumour has it that Netflix will debut some new footage from the anticipated series, so I wouldn’t be surprised to see a panel added to the schedule sometime in the near future.

Are you looking forward to the series? Are you planning to attend the SDCC panel? Be sure to let us know in the comments below! Luke Cage premieres on September 30th!

Fans of Netflix’s MCU will be excited to hear that the Defenders will begin filming later this year. For now, the roster includes four main heroes. If you haven’t been keeping up, this team will be comprised of Iron Fist, Daredevil, Luke Cage, and Jessica Jones.

Speaking at a Netflix event in Paris, Daredevil star Charlie Cox had this to say:

What we do know is at the end of this year we’re going to be making The Defenders and, of course, Daredevil is very much a part of that foursome. I have no idea what the storyline is going to be for that show. I’m very excited to see how those world’s combine… and interested to see tonally how those shows become one.

thedefenders1

As for a third season of Daredevil, the MCU seems to have put that on hold until after The Defenders is done filming. Currently, Netflix has Luke Cage up next on the slate, which will be debuting in September this year. A second season of Jessica Jones has been announced, but we don’t have a release date yet. Iron Fist is currently in pre-production and will start shooting very soon!

We can look forward to more Marvel awesomeness from Netflix!  In addition to Marvel’s second season of “Daredevil” which will be premiering on March 18, we can also look forward to “Luke Cage”, whose premiere date was just announced to be September 30!  The news was revealed at the “Daredevil” red carpet event by Mike Colter–the actor who played the Luke Cage character on “Jessica Jones”, and he also added, “It’s going to be action-packed, from beginning to the very end.”

Luke Cage was a prominent character in the series “Jessica Jones”, featuring powers of super strength and unbreakable skin. Within Comic Book media, he’s appeared in several major Marvel story arcs, such as “Maximum Carnage” (Spider-Man arc), and “Civil War” (Marvel universe/Avengers arc).  His roles and popularity within comic books has been relatively minor, but the Netflix shows have a great track record of shedding light on characters with smaller roles in the Marvel universe!

We’re looking forward to his Netflix debut, and can only imagine the action packed explosiveness it can provide!  Are you as excited as we are, and do you have any favorite Luke Cage moments?

Colter

Angela Zhou is an actress most recently seen on AMC’s Western railroad series ‘Hell On Wheels’… but her role was shrouded in mystery when she was originally introduced as a male character! Or was she?!? We talk about the big reveal of her character Mei and about the preparation that went into playing a woman disguised as a man! Also, we say goodbye to the legendary Alan Rickman and discuss the Oscar Nominations (and controversy surrounding them). Plus, there’s more Jessica Jones and Punisher coming to Netflix and DC Animated has set the Justice League against the Teen Titans!

Come back here, Jessica!

In a great way to end what’s been a terrible week, it was announced at the Television Critics Association press tour that Jessica Jones, the second Netflix exclusive television series to come out of the streaming and rental service’s partnership with Marvel, has been renewed for a second season!

After near universal acclaim, (including from us,) Jessica Jones joins Daredevil as the second of two series’ to be confirmed for a second season, the latter of which will debut in March. This is aside from the three other planned series’ as part of the original deal, which include shows based on Luke Cage and  Iron Fist, and The Defenders, which will bring all these heroes together. With rumors swirling of a Punisher adaptation being considered as well, it’s safe to say that this partnership is turning into everything we wanted and more, especially for the viewers!

Not only am I thrilled to see Krysten Ritter return as the smart-ass P.I., I’m extra excited to see one of her shows actually continue! The question is, which stories will they draw off of considering Jessica’s most prominent story, Alias, was essentially covered in season 1? Let us know what you’re hoping to see in Jessica’s second season in the comments, and as always, we’ll update you all as details surface.

Source: IGN.com

Briefly: We’ve heard plenty of rumours as of late that the still-a-ways-off Marvel / Netflix collaboration Marvel’s Iron Fist was at risk of not happening at all, or simply becoming a Netflix original film instead.

Of course, those rumors were unsubstantiated, and look to be completely false, seeing as Marvel just announced the series’ showrunner.

Here’s the official announcement from Marvel.com:

The Netflix Original Series “Marvel’s Iron Fist” has found its showrunner and Executive Producer in Scott Buck (“Dexter,” “Six Feet Under”)!

Buck previously served as Executive Producer and showrunner of “Dexter” for the series’ final four years. He has also written for “Six Feet Under” and “Rome,” among other series.

“Scott came in with a take on Iron Fist that quite simply knocked us off our feet,” said Executive Producer/Head of Marvel Television, Jeph Loeb. “We always look for the most creative minds in the field to help us bring our heroes to life, and with Scott we’ve found someone that can deliver yet another great series in the ongoing story of The Defenders.”

“I’ve always been drawn to writing complex, intriguing characters, and that’s what most excites me about the opportunity to bring Danny Rand and “Iron Fist” to life with Marvel on Netflix,” said Buck.

Returning to New York City after being missing for years, Daniel Rand fights against the criminal element corrupting New York City with his incredible kung-fu mastery and ability to summon the awesome power of the fiery Iron Fist.

“Marvel’s Iron Fist” is the fourth series as part of an overall deal between Marvel Television and Netflix, which has already released the critically-acclaimed first seasons of “Marvel’s Daredevil” and “Marvel’s Jessica Jones,” with “Marvel’s Luke Cage” premiering in 2016. All four heroes will then unite in the mini-series event “Marvel’s The Defenders.”

It’s a little bit tough to know just how to feel about this one. Marvel and Netflix have not let us down yet in this collaboration, and in fact, Daredevil and Jessica Jones have quickly become some of the very best projects that Marvel has ever produced. In this case, from the press release, Buck was the ‘showrunner of Dexter for the series’ final four years’.

Dexter’s final season is also know as (and I may be speaking hyperbolically, but I digress) one of the very worst final seasons of any television show that I’m even remotely familiar with.

But instead of hating, I’ll just be excited. Who would have thought that we’d ever see an Iron Fist anything, and Marvel and Netflix clearly see something in Buck, who would have been selected from a myriad of other potential showrunners.

In any case, I’m just going to sit here and wait for Jonathan and Ian’s in-depth conversation about last month’s Jessica Jones to finally happen,  because Iron Fist is still a long way off.

Are you looking forward to the series? How do you feel about this showrunner announcement? Sound out below!

Scottbuck

Jessica Jones is a character that most people gloss over when they think of the pillars of the Marvel Universe, so it’s kind of crazy that she just got her own 13 episode TV show on Netflix. The character is very young compared to nearly every other property, but clearly she has a backstory that needs to be pushed out into the mainstream. Art should make us feel something by definition. Good art should start conversations as we share our thoughts, opinions, and feelings on the human experience. Jessica Jones does this in the best of ways, and one of its greatest factors is that it doesn’t feel preachy while it gives you its messages. The show is gritty and the presentation of the story is very adult, which is both a blessing, and in part a minor annoyance as it would be great to have these kinds of themes in it for a younger audience, an audience that needs to be exposed to some of these free-will concepts.

As an adaptation it’s a fairly solid work, of course, with some changes made. There was nothing there that didn’t make sense, in fact I would say that the choices made to adapt this story were exactly what was necessary to get a wider audience and at the same time, make the story believable, especially for people just not into super heroes. The story reveals are somewhat obvious, and it was certainly more the execution of the story line that came out as stellar. Casting was well handled with a cross over from Daredevil showing up to fit the show into the Netflix portion of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Acting was fairly solid throughout as well; Krysten Ritter turned out a great leading role, but although she shows a fair bit of range, I wish she’d been given more to show off that range. David Tennant was just fantastic, and in reading the reviews of this show from some mainstream writers, it’s pretty funny when you realize that people hadn’t seen him in Doctor Who. The difference in characters was fairly pronounced, but it was interesting to see how some of the choices on how to portray things stay the same between the two characters. Then again, the one constant is David Tennant, so why wouldn’t he act some of those things the same way?

Jessica Jones (9)

Looking purely on the surface, the show is shot in New York, just like Daredevil, another Netflix show. It does that thing where the city is treated like a character in the story. We’re given locations within NY that we’re familiar with, and some not so much, but they don’t beat you over the head with it. They spent the extra money to film there, but didn’t act like show offs once they were there. They found a perfect balance on that count. There was the occasional film noir nod, in the way it was shot, the narration at the start, it had a lot of the tropes of a hardboiled detective story but we quickly lost that initial feel, so that it was more like an after-thought after the first episode. Still, they did stick with somethings elements of this, the 1940s soundtrack was there, and the Alias Detective Agency door was there throughout, but honestly, it spent most of its time broken so maybe not.

The cinematography of the series is as you’d expect, thinking outside the box, but within the panel, and then some. Jessica Jones produces those same classic comic book angles, creating story boards on the screen. Then they’ll bring subjects in or out of focus, something that wouldn’t be done in comics. It’s like comics recognized that TV and movies were being storyboarded via comic book-type artists, and so the one medium was feeding the other. The comic book response was to this was to give us very angled views of the world so that it seemed more like film noir within a comic book panel. In Jessica Jones, it’s like they’re taking back showing off what it can do, like MCs trying to out-do each other, as if to say, “your move comic books”.

Jessica Jones (5)

Good science fiction will use its story as a way to say things that may be unpalatable to speak about directly. Star Trek would speak about racism by showing two seemingly similar characters with a black and a white face, but they were black on opposite sides of their face. They showed us how ridiculous the concept of racial color was. In Jessica Jones, the storyline deals with so many social issues, how we deal with rape, with post-traumatic stress disorder, mental health, how we look at group therapy, homelessness, drug and alcohol addiction, and finally our inability to engage others with our pains by throwing up a wall of tough, when we may be broken inside.

There is a rather ham-fisted attempt at addressing racism and homophobia by using ‘gifted’ as a euphemism for being different. They didn’t seem as committed on that as if it’s been done before and they’re only doing it to make sure the points were made.  It’s good to include, but it felt out of place to the rest of the show. They linked the show to the ‘event’ from the Avengers Assemble section set in NY.

Kilgrave’s powers weren’t a direct parallel to alcoholism or drug abuse, but there was something there that connected these things. Within the show there was a great deal of concern over what happened to people who’d been pushed under Kilgrave’s spell. That there was a complete separation from the individuals to the actions they were performing. Kilgrave isn’t the addictive substance, he is an amalgam of the substances, and the situations people place themselves in to get those substances. I wouldn’t dwell too much on that part though, it was more the outcome of his effect that we looked at and how different people were effected differently. That group therapy even produced different individual goals and responses. It’s something we don’t see much in TV shows, but perhaps that is something that should be explored more as it’s usually the victims of crime that are forgotten.

Overall, a fantastic show, and one that I highly recommend to anyone who doesn’t mind not turning off their brain if they want to enjoy an action series. Having said that, it works on multiple levels, you can turn off as well, if that’s your thing.

Briefly: I can’t believe that it’s now just hours away.

Following a ton of new marketing the past week, including two clips, a Daredevil teaser, the final trailer, and more, Netflix has just debuted the series gorgeous opening sequence.

After hearing nothing but positive buzz for Jessica Jones after its NYCC premiere last month, the long, long wait for the Netflix series to finally debut has been pretty excruciating, and now it’s here!

Taking place after a tragic ending to her short-lived super hero stint, the new series follows Jessica Jones as she rebuilds her personal life and career as a detective who gets pulled into cases involving people with extraordinary abilities in New York City.

Take a look at the opening sequence below, and be sure to let us know just how many episodes you plan to watch tonight.

Briefly: Less than a week after releasing the show’s final trailer, and just two days from the series’ launch on Netflix (it’s about damned time), Marvel has just debuted two clips from Jessica Jones.

The clips seem dedicated to displaying just how powerful (and freaky) David Tennant’s Kilgrave is, and after seeing just what he’s capable of with such little effort, I’m very excited to see just how intense things get once he actually starts trying.

I almost wish that I didn’t watch these clips, as I’m not overly familiar with the character and would love to be as surprised as possible once the 20th rolls around. In any case, it’s a pretty cool look at Netflix’ newest bad-ass bad guy.

I can’t wait. Do you think Jessica Jones will be able to match the quality of first season of ‘Daredevil’? Are you going to find out November 20th by binge watching the whole season? Be sure to let us know in the comments below!

In anticipation of the upcoming Netflix series, ‘Marvel’s Jessica Jones’, I decided to binge read Brian Michael Bendis’ and Michael Gaydos’ comic book series, ‘Alias’. Finishing the 28 issues has me even more excited for the new television show. However, the comic book series itself, for the most part, was not worth reading.

Alias_Vol_1_1
… and it begins!

The title launched on Marvel’s R-Rated MAX imprint, which pretty much means Bendis is allowed to integrate a lot of swearing and sex into the story. Bendis takes advantage of his literary freedom immediately with the first line of dialogue; “Fuck!” He was responsible in his use of adult material and used it to amplify the darkness and grittiness of the story that wouldn’t have been possible without it.

Michael Gaydos’ style of art matches the grittiness of the series to a tee. I also enjoyed the sharp contrasts in the style that occurred during flashbacks that were illustrated by Mark Bagley. Unfortunately, Gaydos’ art does feel repetitive and stale at times, which leads me to my main issue with the series.

After reading the first few issues, the story itself becomes repetitive and even uninteresting at times. Jessica Jones, an ex-superhero turned private investigator, is introduced to us as a loose cannon. She swears, smokes, gets blackout drunk and has a lot of sex. Her character doesn’t develop a whole lot after that. Her investigations are slow there is never much of a payoff.

‘Alias’ is divided into roughly five different story arcs. If you are checking it out, like I was, in anticipation of the television series, I’d suggest only reading issues 22-28. 22-23 are Jessica Jone’s origin story. Then 24-28 is the Purple story arch, which as you might have guessed involves Jessica Jones confronting Kilgrave.

Bendis takes full advantage of the MAX imprint with Kilgrave. For those of you not in the know, Kilgrave, aka the Purple Man, has the ability to control other people’s will power. He wants you to jump off a bridge; you will soon find yourself jumping off a bridge. The commands and things he does to people in these few issues is haunting and the type of thing that will make great inspiration for the Netflix series. My only complaint is the resolution of this arc, like all the others, fell flat.

I wasn’t kidding about the language…

If you can’t wait for Friday, I highly recommend checking out issues 22-28 of ‘Alias’. It will get you even more amped up for the weekend and spare you the lull’s and repetitive and at times uninteresting storytelling that plagued most of the series.

November 20th can’t come soon enough! To tide us over until then, Marvel and Netflix have released the second full trailer for ‘Marvel’s Jessica Jones’.

The trailer shines some light on the kind of relationship that will exist between Luke Cage (Mike Colter) and Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter). It also gives us a little taste of what she will be up against when it comes to Kilgrave (David Tennant).

Do you think it will be able to match the first season of ‘Daredevil’? Are you going to find out November 20th by binge watching the whole season? Let us know in the comments below!

Briefly: Just two more weeks to go.

After hearing nothing but positive buzz for Jessica Jones after its NYCC premiere last month, the long, long wait for the Netflix series to finally debut has been pretty excruciating.

The full trailer at the end of October didn’t help, and today Netflix debuted 20 gorgeous new stills for the series to keep you enticed until all 13 episodes of Jessica Jones‘ first season debut on November 20th. The stills are a mix of production and behind-the-scenes, but they all look freaking fabulous.

I’m so glad that I’ll have Fallout 4 to keep me entertained while I wait for the episodes to hit the celebrated streaming service (and to keep my occupied once I finish it until Daredevil‘s second season launches next year).

In any case, you can take a look at the stills below, and be sure to let us know just how excited you are for Jessica Jones!

Taking place after a tragic ending to her short-lived super hero stint, the new series follows Jessica Jones as she rebuilds her personal life and career as a detective who gets pulled into cases involving people with extraordinary abilities in New York City.

Briefly: Following the gorgeous key art, and the full trailer from earlier this month, Netflix has just debuted a Kilgrave focused motion poster for November’s Jessica Jones!

David Tennant plays the character, who is “An enigmatic figure from Jessica’s past, Kilgrave’s reappearance will send shockwaves through the former super hero’s world.”

In any case, I cannot wait for November to hit. First, Bethesda’s Fallout 4 is set to launch on the 10th, and will feature so many hours of amazing story and gameplay that I’m probably never going to finish it (it’ll be The Witcher 3 all over again), and then just ten days later, the first season of Marvel / Netflix’ Jessica Jones will hit the streaming service, and for about 12 hours, all will be right with the world.

Then the wait for Daredevil‘s second season really begins.

Take a look at the new motion poster below, and let us know how many episodes you plan to watch on day one. All of them? Yeah, me too.
