Briefly: Rogue One: A Star Wars Story is finally here.

I’m finished watching trailers for the film, as I’d like to go in as fresh and out-of-the-loop as possible, but I definitely just took a look at this featurette, in which director Gareth Edwards and Creature Effects Supervisor Neal Scanlan offer a behind-the-scenes peek at the creatures.

These are some incredible creatures, and we are so freaking excited for Rogue One.

You can take a look at the featurette below, and be sure to let us know what you hope to see on December 16th!

Briefly: I haven’t spent all that much time with EA/DICE’ Star Wars Battlefront at this point. The high price, and limited content that the game originally launched with had me skip the purchase after my EA Access trial ran out.

With the game coming to the EA Access Vault in December, however, I could definitely see myself playing the game again, and definitely picking up this upcoming DLC.

EA has just debuted the official trailer for Star Wars Battlefront Rogue One: Scarif (what a title), which will let players “Battle across four new maps on the tropical planet of Scarif. Play as two new heroes Jyn Erso and Orson Krennic, and blast opponents in a brand new multi-stage game mode with new weapons and Star Cards,” and it looks so freaking neat.

For now, you’ll have to watch the trailer, while Season Pass holders can play the new content on December 6th. Those looking to purchase it separately, however, will be waiting until December 20th.

Briefly: Following that stellar (pretty plot heavy) international trailer from a few days back, Disney today has debuted the absolutely gorgeous IMAX poster for next month’s Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.

If you (like myself) need one of these on your wall, you’ll want to attend one of the first IMAX showings of the film on opening night… if it’s anything like most IMAX posters, these won’t last long at all.

For now, bask in the glory of the poster below, and be sure to let us know what you think. Rogue One: A Star Wars Story takes off on December 16th.

Briefly: Whoah.

Disney today debuted a new international trailer for next month’s Star Wars: Rogue One. It’s incredibly gorgeous, featuring some of the slickest eye candy that we’ve seen from any of the promotional material so far.

You may want to skip this one however. Rogue One is just a month away, and if you’d like to go into the anticipated film as fresh as possible, you won’t want to see all of the intense plot revealed in this latest trailer.

You’ve been warned. Be sure to let us know how excited you are for December 16th.

Sound those klaxon alarms because the second official trailer for Star Wars: Rogue One hit the internet this morning after premiering on Good Morning America. Many speculated that the final trailer for the stand-alone Star Wars film would be one of the trailers attached to Doctor Strange, but lo and behold, a new Star Wars: Rogue One trailer is here now! Perhaps there will be another trailer, but after watching this one, it is difficult to imagine what else Disney can show without giving any more away.

Rather than waste any more time, go ahead and watch it here and share your thoughts with us at our official Twitter account @geekscapedotnet.

Star Wars; Rogue One arrives in theaters December 16.

Briefly: Despite reshoots and constant rumours of the film’s quality, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story looks freaking awesome.

Seriously, it looks gritty as hell, and entirely different from any Star Wars film we’ve seen thus far (aside from the Death Star being a central component, of course).

Speaking of different, two new international Rogue One posters have hit the web, and they look starkly different from almost any Star Wars poster I’ve seen yet.

They’re minimal, and absolutely gorgeous. Take a look at the images below, and let us know what you think!

If the the new trailer left you requiring a chest box to assist your breathing, then the international trailer won’t do anything for you.

The newest trailer for Gareth Edwards’ ‘Rogue One‘ dropped during the Olympics tonight and boy did it go for the gold. The new trailer opens with an eerily familiar theme that culminates to that final scene of the trailer showing us a glimpse of one films greatest villain in cinematic history, DARTH VADER. Whenever I re-watched the teaser and the trailers I got the same feeling of dread as when I first watched Saving Private Ryan, these guys are about go on a suicide mission and there is little to no hope that they will succeed. The Solar eclipse with the Death Star is just foreboding. In the international trailer they undid that and added back the more hopeful version of the soundtrack which in turn made the Vader reveal tacked on and less organic feeling.

The extra tidbit thrown randomly into the trailer is the reveal was that Jyn’s father is embedded as a spy somewhere himself and is sending messages to the Rebels. Another change was the addition of more brutal scenes and blood that were more than likely edited out for the Olympics.

My Donnie Yen infatuation is growing stronger, I didn’t get to see any new action scenes from him but his Force dialogue gave me goosebumps.  We also finally got to hear K-2So voiced by geek favorite Alan Tudyk, who will be giving C3PO a run for his money with the comedic ill timed statistical probabilities. For those who are reading the FANTASTIC Darth Vader comic, K-2SO just helped me give 0-0-0 a voice with his bit of scary politeness.

triple zero

At this point I may have watched the trailer about 10 times. I am just loving everything about it and I am so excited to be getting a new ‘Star Wars’ every year for the foreseeable future. Also with the rumors of Donald Glover of being the front runner to portray young Lando Calrissian, it’s been a good week for ‘Star Wars’ fans.

‘Rogue One: A Star Wars’ Story arrives in theaters December 16, 2016.

The second trailer for this years Star Wars film, Rogue One, has just hit the internet. And it is FUCKING incredible. I think I am more excited for this than I was Episove VII. Check it out below.

This trailer is incredible. Director Gareth Edwards really knows how to make stuff feel MASSIVE on film. The music, produced by French composer Alexandre Desplat (Godzilla, Syriana, Argo), is OUTSTANDING. I honestly think this is going to do more than Episode VII. It feels more “real”.

Star Wars: Rogue One hits theaters this December 16th and stars  Felicity Jones, Diego Luna, Riz Ahmed, Ben Mendelsohn, Jiang Wen, Donnie Yen, Forest Whitaker, Mads Mikkelsen, Alan Tudyk and Jonathan Aris.

*Cue the heavy Darth Vader breathing*

Bask in the glory of these beautiful thirteen hi-res images from ‘Rogue One’. I have already updated my ‘Force Awakens’ wallpapers on my phone to these new ones. These images are absolutely gorgeous and brings a brand new depth and details to the old Stormtrooper suits, that Death Trooper suits are to die for!!!

This Thursday a new trailer is slated to premier during the Olympics, and i can’t wait to see whats in store. I already know that Donnie Yen is going to be favorite character of the film with that staff, i cant wait to see what it can do.

‘Rogue One: A Star Wars Story’ opens December 16th and stars Felicity Jones,Diego Luna, Ben Mendelsohn, Donnie Yen, Jiang Wen, Mads Mikkelsen, Alan Tudyk, Riz Ahmed, and Forest Whitaker.

During Disney’s first Disney Infinity NEXT presentation, the official news came to no surprise to most of us, since the new Marvel and Baloo figures were leaked last month. Despite the excitement of the reveal, (or disappointment over being spoiled,) the most newsworthy news was hinted at towards the closing moments of the video.

Alluding to us taking a trip to the sea and walking “through the looking glass,” this could only mean that Finding Dory and Alice in Wonderland will be making their Toys To Life debut sometime this year. Why Finding Dory and not The Little MermaidAtlantis, or any other Disney property that takes us underwater? Earlier in the presentation, it was confirmed that 2016 will get one Pixar, Disney, Marvel AND Star Wars expansion, hinting at the possibility that 3.0 will be further built on rather than releasing a 4.0. Since Alice is getting a movie later this year and was clearly teased, that leaves Finding Dory as our best bet.

But what’s even more exciting is the confirmation of more Star Wars content. While it likely will be based around this year’s Rogue One, I would love Rebels to get the full campaign treatment after releasing so many figures inspired by the animated series.

What do you want to see when it comes to the future of Disney Infinity? Sound off in the comments, and check out all the new figures in action for yourself in the presentation below!

D23 has become a necessary weekend con to pay attention to. We’ve heard about the clip of Captain America: Civil War that we’ll try to get to you guys, somehow, as fast as we can, but what we have now is just as awesome: The first look at the cast of Rogue One! And yes, Donnie Yen has joined a galaxy far, far away.

Man, is it gritty! We’ve all wanted a darker Star Wars, this is literally dark. There’s hardly any blues or yellows!

Oh man, Donnie Yen. I actually had confirmation several weeks ago that he would be in Star Wars, but I had to sit on it for various reasons. It really sucked I couldn’t tell you guys sooner, but you would have found out yourselves if you knew where to look. It wasn’t exactly a heavily-guarded secret.

Besides Donnie Yen The Living God, Rogue One has got a hell of a cast. From left to right in the above photot: Riz Ahmed, Diego Luna, Felicity Jones, Jiang Wen, Donnie Yen. Not pictured but will be in the film are Ben Mendelsohn, Alan Tudyk (yes, THAT Alan Tudyk!), Forest Whitaker (yes, THAT Forest Whitaker!), and Mads Mikkelsen (yes, THAT Mads Mikkelsen — Jesus Rogue One isn’t messing around).

Has the title changed? I was under the impression and had long written it and seen it written as Star Wars: Rogue One, but it seems the title is officially Rogue One with A Star Wars Story as a tagline. I’m also seeing Star Wars Anthology: Rogue One in certain places. Minor details, all that matters is that you know Rogue One and that this is goddamn Star Wars so anything works.

Rogue One is a prequel-ish of sorts, taking place before A New Hope. Directed by Gareth Edwards of 2014’s Godzilla, the movie “will be a departure from the saga films but have elements that are familiar” says Lucasfilm CEO Kathleen Kennedy in the press release.

From StarWars.com:

“It goes into new territory, exploring the galactic struggle from a ground-war perspective while maintaining that essentialStar Wars feel that fans have come to know. Gareth is such an innovative director and I’m so excited to be working with him and the extraordinary ensemble cast he’s selected for ‘Rogue One.’”

I can’t fanboy enough over Donnie Yen in Star Wars. Felicity Jones and Alan Tudyk are just the cherries on top. Excuse me, I have some Ip Man to watch on loop between now and December 16, 2016. I might even skip The Force Awakens! (Haha, no.)
