We’re edging ever so closer to the climax of this latest James Bond release. Spectre is just a month away and we have our final trailer from Sony. Check it out with me below.

The Daniel Craig era of Bond has etched itself out as a modern “reboot” of the James Bond franchise, and Spectre is set to introduce the sinister organisation from older Bond films.

I really appreciated the line “I came here to kill you.”. ‘And I thought you came here to die!’. It is a nice little call back to the famous line from the 1964 Goldfinger.

Spectre hits theatres November 6th!

The first trailer, for the first DLC being offered in the Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate season pass is here. And it looks…pretty damn fun! Check out Jack The Ripper!

Jack the Ripper begins his reign of terror in an all-new campaign, available in the Assassin’s Creed Syndicate Gold Edition.

One of the most appealing things of the Assassin’s Creed series is the integration of fiction with actual historical facts. The Ezio trilogy had the perfect combination of fictional story telling, blended with text book accurate retelling of historical events. Brotherhood was my favorite in the series for this reason, probably due to the fact that I am a HUGE geek for the Renaissance time period. I flipped my shit when I ran into the Medici!

Seeing Ubisoft take the well known tale of Jack The Ripper really has me excited. Reminds me of the Black Dahlia Murders from LA Noire, putting a fictional ending to the unknown.

You can get the Jack The Ripper DLC in the Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate season pass. Syndicate hits store shelves October 23rd on PC, PS4 and Xbox One

Briefly: Alright, as not good as 2007’s Hitman was, this year’s reboot looks pretty bad-ass, and as neat as it would have been to see Paul Walker in the role of Agent 47, Rupert Friend looks like he’s killing it.

Fox has just debuted the first clip for the upcoming film via EW, and it’s an action-packed scene that really excites me for the upcoming release (and for Friend’s performance).

Could Agent 47 be the first good video game movie we’ve seen in years? I guess we’ll find out in a few weeks!

Take a look at the clip below, and let us know if you’re looking forward to the film! Agent 47 hits theatres on August 21st!

Briefly: If you weren’t already excited for next week’s Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation (did you even see Ghost Protocol?), this newly-released featurette will probably change your mind.

It’s short, clocking in at just over 1 minute, but it showcases just how incredible the stunts in the film can be.

You know that scene from the trailer that has Ethan hanging off the side of a plane during takeoff? That was actually Tom Cruise, on the side of an actually taking off airplane.

Pretty freaking incredible. Take a look at the featurette below, and let us know what you think! Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation hits theatres on July 31!

IMF agent Ethan Hunt is tracked down by The Syndicate, a highly trained organization of rogue assassins that kill on order. With the help of his colleagues, he plans to bring The Syndicate down by any means necessary.

When it was first announced, some time ago, that Jack Black would be starring in a Goosebumps movie we we’re all a bit skeptical. Then this trailer came out.

This movie looks fun. Looks damn fun! I admittedly, never ever read any of the Goosebumps books as a kid. I watched The Haunted Mask Movie and was scarred as a child.

This trailer is the perfect combination of nostalgia and heartwarming kids comedy.

Goosebumps hits theaters September 25th!

Briefly: Alright, as not good as 2007’s Hitman was, this year’s reboot looks pretty bad-ass, and as neat as it would have been to see Paul Walker in the role of Agent 47, Rupert Friend looks like he’s killing it.

Fox has just debuted a new trailer for the film, riding on the coattails of last week’s Hitman E3 announcement, and it’s filled with action-packed new footage that actually really excites me for the August release.

Take a look at the trailer below, and let us know if you’re looking forward to the film! Agent 47 hits theatres on August 21st!

Briefly: A new trailer is set to debut tomorrow, but Legendary pictures has just debuted a fantastic new motion poster for Crimson Peak.

We’ll never get to see Del Toro’s touch on Silent Hills, but Crimson Peak looks freaking incredible. I had the fantastic opportunity to meet with Del Toro at last year’s San Diego Comic-Con, as well as see a few props and pieces of the set. It’s safe to say that Crimson Peak has been one of my most anticipated films since that day.

You can take a look at the motion poster below, and be sure to let us know what you think! Crimson Peak hits theatres on October 16th, 2015!

Check out the new motion poster for #CrimsonPeak, and look for the new trailer tomorrow!

Believe it or not, I can’t provide any insight to this trailer. I’m currently having audio issues with my computer, so I can’t dish out any snark or praise because I can’t hear a single damn thing.

But hey, Ant-Man looks good at least! Watching it without the sound it looks like a pretty serious movie despite the title being, you know, Ant-Man. And then there are shots with giant bugs and all of that goes away.

Paul Rudd is Ant-Man and you can see him crawl his way on screen July 17th!

Briefly: Yesterday marked our first look at this Summer’s probably-going-to-be-awesome Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation, and today a much longer trailer for the film debuted online.

It looks totally ridiculous, and seriously awesome.

In the film, “IMF agent Ethan Hunt is tracked down by The Syndicate, a highly trained organization of rogue assassins that kill on order. With the help of his colleagues, he plans to bring The Syndicate down by any means necessary.”

The film stars Tom Cruise (of course), Jeremy Renner, Simon Pegg, Alec Baldwin, and more, and will hit theatres on July 31st. Take a look at the new trailer below, and be sure to let us know what you think!

Looks like the latest trend in marketing is the “Trailer for a Trailer”, as we can plainly see in this teaser for Mission Impossible 5: Rogue Nation.

IMF agent Ethan Hunt is tracked down by The Syndicate, a highly trained organization of rogue assassins that kill on order. With the help of his colleagues, he plans to bring The Syndicate down by any means necessary.

You can peep the full length trailer, TOMORROW! You can get your eyes on the film Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation July 31st!

Briefly: Marvel today debuted the official theatrical poster for May’s Avengers: Age of Ultron.

The image is busy as hell, but reveals a few interesting tidbits about the film, including the fact that both Hayley Atwell and Anthony Mackie will return in some form (big surprise, huh). The poster features our core Avengers group, who look to be fighting alongside Elizabeth Olsen’s Scarlet Witch and Aaron Taylor-Johnson’s Quicksilver, while Paul Bettany’s Vision is obscured by sunlight. Oh, and don’t forget the one million Ultron cronies.

It’s hard to believe that we’re now just two months away from the second Avengers film, but we’re getting pretty damned excited. Take a look at the new poster below, and be sure to let us know what you think! Avengers: Age of Ultron hits theatres on May 1st!

Ultron

I first heard about Guillermo del Toro’s, “masterpiece”, Crimson Peak last year at SDCC. Our booth neighbors at Legendary had an amazing booth display designed by the set designers of the film. When I took the tour, and learned about the effort that went into this TINY little hallway I instantly knew I wanted to see this movie. And after watching this trailer, I…I just need this film in my life!

Legendary Pictures’ Crimson Peak, a co-production with Universal Pictures, is a haunting gothic horror story directed by the master of dark fairy tales, Guillermo del Toro (Pan’s Labyrinth, Hellboy series, Pacific Rim), written by del Toro & Matthew Robbins and starring Mia Wasikowska, Jessica Chastain, Tom Hiddleston, Charlie Hunnam and Jim Beaver. In the aftermath of a family tragedy, an aspiring author is torn between love for her childhood friend and the temptation of a mysterious outsider. Trying to escape the ghosts of her past, she is swept away to a house that breathes, bleeds… and remembers. Thomas Tull, Jon Jashni, del Toro and Callum Greene produce, and Jillian Share executive produces.

Did you see that shit?! SO ON BOARD! That hallway where the ghost came out of the floor? Yeah, I’VE BEEN THERE! Or I’ve been in an impressive simulation of that hallway on the SDCC convention floor.

Crimson Peak is set to hit theaters October 16th, 2015. Just in time for some Halloween fun!

OH Hitman! Hitman, Hitman, Hitman, Hitman. Oh, Hitman. What an interesting series of events that lead us to here, and this trailer.

Hitman: Agent 47 is a “remake?” of sorts, of the 2007 film Hitman. That film, starring Timothy Olyphant, wasn’t even close to a critical success (but still a damn fun film to watch). They had such high hopes for it though! Sequels were planned and quickly crushed as the movie came and went out of theaters, even though Ebert gave it a 3/4 Star review!

Then way way back in 2013, Fox made a big old announcement that they were going to REMAKE the film and have Paul Walker star as the titular Hitman. Sadly later that year Paul Walker passed away in a car accident, and shortly thereafter Rupert Friend was attached to the film as the bald assassin. Not much else was said about the film, UNTIL NOW!

To be honest? I have no idea what to expect from this trailer. Is 47 a good guy or a bad guy? Is Zachary Quinto’s acting going to be that stale through the WHOLE film? Are the visual effects going to be improved? Why were there so many god damned blue sedans on that street? SO MANY QUESTIONS!

I will always support a video game film, even if I know it’s going to be garbage. So I’ll probably see it some lazy Saturday matinee with a flask in my pocket.

Hitman: Agent 47 is set to hit theaters August 28, 2015.

“I’m gonna tear you apart… from the inside.”

Yep, Ultron’s still creepy. The latest trailer for May 1st’s Avengers: Age of Ultron has just hit the web, and while it doesn’t show us too much that we haven’t already seen… it does feature some badass new action and a lot of Ultron being disturbing as hell.

Is it just me though, or is anyone else already getting sick of that music? Also, where is Paul Bettany’s The Vision? And did Hulk’s eyes look red at the end to anyone else?

In any case, it’s a pretty cool trailer. Take a look below, and get speculating!

We brought you the leaked, official and the first extended trailer for Avengers 2: Age of Ultron. Now it looks like Marvel is getting extended trailer happy once again! Check out the NEWEST Age of Ultron trailer!

Avengers: Age of Ultron hits theatres on May 1st, 2015.

It was up, then taken down, then up again and taken back down. It looked as if the trailer for the upcoming Daft Punk biopic, Eden, wasn’t sure if it wanted to be released.

Well now its finally up for good, so we can bask in all of it’s glory!

http://youtu.be/x2kIP1GTUh0

Starring Arnaud Azoulay and Vincent Lacoste as the Daft Punks themselves, the film follows the duo’s career from the very beginning.

Already screening at the Toronto Film Festival, the film has gotten high marks so far. No world wide release date has been announced, but you can be sure music junkies from all over will be already in line.

It wasn’t too long ago that a new batch of Persona 4 Arena Ultimax trailers arrived, but we already have a new set for us to get hyped over ahead of its September 30th release date. This time, the villains of the game are showcased, bringing the dark side of the TV world into focus.

Starting with Sho Minazuki, he’s the only character so far that lacks a Persona. Still, his hard hitting twin sword abilities more than make up for this fact, keeping the pressure on his opponents before they can get their offense going.

Yet, just because Sho doesn’t use a Persona doesn’t mean he doesn’t have one. Named Minazuki, his alternate form is a separate character, which utilizes his sword skills in conjunction with his partner, making the two even more deadly.

And finally, Shadow Labrys returns from the previous game, carrying over her unique trait of having her Persona on the field at all times. Vicious multi-hit combos and essentially two opponents at the same time make Shadow Labrys insanely dangerous, which should go without saying. Have you seen that face at the top?

Expect more information, trailers and reveals as Persona 4 Arena Ultimax gets closer to release date. Have you decided on your main yet?

In what can only be called a “Trailer for a Trailer” (yo dawg), the team over at Fox have pushed out a little Instagram tease. Prepping us for next weeks World Premiere Trailer.

Wes Anderson fans rejoice, the imaginative director’s latest project ‘The Grand Budapest Hotel’ will be upon us soon and from the trailer we can already see that this movie is filled to the brim with many talented actors. Just how many actors? Well, reddit user FennekFox goes into just how much talent is in the film:

“Overall a ridiculously impressive cast. You know how many Oscar nominations and wins this crowd has? I didn’t either, so I looked into it:

16 nominations among the cast spread out over 11 actors, albeit Owen Wilson’s and Jeff Goldblum’s nominations are not for acting.

3 wins for F. Murray Abraham, Adrien Brody and Tilda Swinton.

Wes Anderson himself has 3 nominations.

Also lots of more talent behind the scenes: Alexandre Desplat, who writes the music, has 5 nominations (from the last 7 years!). Milena Canonero, who’s obviously done a great job once again with the costume design, has 3 wins and 5 nominations. And set decorator Anna Pinnock has 3 nominations.

In total I found 32 nominations and 6 wins. But there may be more. The trailer looks fantastic, so perhaps some of these nominees can turn into winners. Ralph Fiennes performance looks awesome, I hope it’s him.

And before you ask: no I don’t have too much time on my hands! Knowing this was important to my well-being.”

The movie is described as a chronicle of the adventures of Gustave M. (Ralph Fiennes), a legendary concierge at a famous European hotel between the wars, and Zero Moustafa (Tony Revolori), the lobby boy who becomes his most trusted friend.

I’m not particularly worried about the balance of screen time the actors will receive. Anderson has an excellent track record of remembering to rely on the actual plot to move the story and not by relying on star power alone.

‘The Grand Budapest Hotel’ will be in theaters on March 7, 2014.

The crazy funny and super raunchy looking Hell Baby has been on my radar since it was first hinted about way back earlier this year. We’ve shown you the poster and the Greenband trailer before BUT NOW, we have what you all have been waiting for. The Redband trailer! And WHY NOT top it off with a new poster as well, just because I like ya!

HELL BABY, a comedy scripted by Thomas Lennon and Robert Ben Garant (Night at The Museum, Reno 911!: Miami) marks their co-directing debut. Jack (Rob Corddry) and Vanessa (Leslie Bibb) are an expectant couple that moves into the most haunted fixer-upper in New Orleans — a house with a deadly demonic curse. Things soon spiral out of control for Jack and Vanessa, as well as their-not-so-helpful neighbor F’Resnel (Keegan-Michael Key), Vanessa’s friendly psychiatrist (Michael Ian Black), Vanessa’s Wiccan sister Marjorie (Riki Lindhome) and the detectives assigned to look into the rising body count (Rob Huebel and Paul Scheer). Only the Vatican’s elite exorcism team (Garant and Lennon) san save them — or can they?

Hell Baby stars Rob Corddry, Leslie Bibb,  Keegan-Michael Key, Michael Ian Black, Riki Lindhome, Rob Huebel and Paul Scheer and can be seen on Ultra VOD July 25th and In Theaters and on Premium VOD September 6th!

Two years ago I ranked ‘Best Worst Movie’ as the best film of 2010. It’s heart-felt look at fan culture, so bad it’s good film making and the struggles of being the star of the worst movie ever made was funny, touching and entertaining. I even managed to get Best Worst Movie/Troll 2 star George Hardy on the debut episode of my podcast The Saint Mort Show.

Well director Michael Paul Stephenson is at it again. Today he released the trailer to ‘The American Scream’, a documentary about Halloween displays. For me it invoked memories of Halloween as a kid. There were two houses I loved one was my Uncle Craig and the other was a man who lived down the street from my house. Both of them spent all year round putting together giant halloween displays with moving figures and horrifying creatures. I never see displays that come close to the impressively elaborate work that these men did.

Michael Paul Stephenson seems to have the same nostalgia for a small town man’s desire to create a giant free spectacle for the sake of Halloween. The trailer is funny, touching and at times moderately heartbreaking. There’s no way this film will not be one of my favorites of the year. Kudos to you Mr. Stephenson… please appear on my podcast.

For a list of theater screenings, check out the film’s official website. ‘The American Scream’ also premieres on October 28th on NBC Universal’s CHILLER Network.

If you couldn’t already tell, we are very excited for Star Wars 1313. The E3 hype machine keeps running. Gander your eye holes at Star Wars 1313 in full moving pictures!

Now I was already sold on this game when I heard the premise, saw the pics and read the preview. Seeing it MOVE is like…it’s like sex. The seamless trailers-to-gameplay part made my whole body tingle. I publicly swore off Star Wars after the fucking dance fiasco, but 1313 may have revived my Star Wars love.

I’ll be the first to admit I’m not much of a gamer…but Skyrim is no ordinary game. It’s quite possibly the best game I’ve ever played in my life.  Like many people though, I ran out of things to do months ago and I’ve been eager to revisit the incredibly realized fictional universe. Bethesda has been hinting at downloadable content for some time, and now the trailer for Dawnguard is finally here.  No release date has been set yet, but Dawnguard has been confirmed for a summer release.

Please Skyrim… come and take away every spare moment of my free time. I’m already growing out my Nord beard in anticipation.

It’s trailer day apparently between this and Skyfall. You might be surprised to be seeing a trailer for a cinematic and profound film (and dare I say pretentious) movie such as The Master appearing on Geekscape. But here at Geekscape, we honor all types of geeks, from video games to film fanboys.  As a film fanboy, I think this movie looks stellar. You might remember Paul Thomas Anderson as the guy who did a little movie called There Will Be Blood in 2007. Oh… and Magnolia, Punch Drunk Love, Boogie Nights and Hard Eight.

Can we just give him some Oscar nominations now?

The second international trailer for The Amazing Spider-Man was released online today. It is longer and reveals a bit more about the film than its predecessors. Look: Aunt May!

I still have no desire to see this, but what do you think?

I’ve been eagerly waiting this one for quite sometime. It’s finally here….the first teaser trailer for the new sci-fi/time-travel flick Looper! The movie is written/directed by Rian Johnson (Brick & The Brothers Bloom) and stars Bruce Willis, Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Emily Blunt. I’d give a synopsis but I figure watching the trailer will be far more entertaining. It opens across time and in a theater near you on September 28.

After a few Michael Bay-esque trailers and that poster with the 9 ft. tall Captain America that pissed off the entire internet, the Japanese prove once again that when it comes to stuff, nobody does it better than they do.

The Japanese trailer for Joss Whedon’s Avengers movie not only features a lot more footage than we’ve seen so far, but some dialogue from How I Met Your Mother’s Cobie Smulders (aka Almost-Whedon’s-Wonder-Woman, aka Agent Maria Hill in this movie, aka Agent Robin Sparkles).

"Let's go save the world... TODAY!"

The build up is better, the dialogue is more carefully chosen and the payoff shows more of the team fighting actual villains instead of making it look like the culmination of half a decade of superhero movies equals The Avengers fighting a bunch of explosions for 2 hours.

And as an added bonus, you actually hear Scarlett Johansson talking! And here she pulls off the opposite of what most actresses known for being hot would and reminds us that we actually like her when she talks (and that she’s the cool chick from Ghost World and Lost in Translation).

The Avengers comes out on May 4th — a day I’m already looking forward to more than I am my firstborn’s graduation day (cause that little non-existent bastard has to start pulling his/her weight around here). Check out the Nerdgasmic trailer by clicking here.
