Briefly: Marvel today debuted the official theatrical poster for May’s Avengers: Age of Ultron.

The image is busy as hell, but reveals a few interesting tidbits about the film, including the fact that both Hayley Atwell and Anthony Mackie will return in some form (big surprise, huh). The poster features our core Avengers group, who look to be fighting alongside Elizabeth Olsen’s Scarlet Witch and Aaron Taylor-Johnson’s Quicksilver, while Paul Bettany’s Vision is obscured by sunlight. Oh, and don’t forget the one million Ultron cronies.

It’s hard to believe that we’re now just two months away from the second Avengers film, but we’re getting pretty damned excited. Take a look at the new poster below, and be sure to let us know what you think! Avengers: Age of Ultron hits theatres on May 1st!

Ultron

“I’m gonna tear you apart… from the inside.”

Yep, Ultron’s still creepy. The latest trailer for May 1st’s Avengers: Age of Ultron has just hit the web, and while it doesn’t show us too much that we haven’t already seen… it does feature some badass new action and a lot of Ultron being disturbing as hell.

Is it just me though, or is anyone else already getting sick of that music? Also, where is Paul Bettany’s The Vision? And did Hulk’s eyes look red at the end to anyone else?

In any case, it’s a pretty cool trailer. Take a look below, and get speculating!

We brought you the leaked, official and the first extended trailer for Avengers 2: Age of Ultron. Now it looks like Marvel is getting extended trailer happy once again! Check out the NEWEST Age of Ultron trailer!

Briefly: The deal was rumoured to be complete early this month, but now that rumour has been made official: Aaron Taylor-Johnson is Quicksilver in The Avengers: Age of Ultron.

This, of course, is the second Quicksilver to be cast this year, as Bryan Singer’s X-Men: Days of Future Past (which just got its first trailer yesterday) will feature American Horror Story‘s Evan Peters as the character.

Are you looking forward to Age of Ultron? Which portrayal of Quicksilver do you think you’ll prefer? Sound out below!

Briefly: All the way back in June it was rumoured that Marvel was looking at Kick-Ass himself, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, for the role of Quicksilver in The Avengers: Age of Ultron.

Today, Samuel Jackson informed us that Elizabeth Olsen would indeed be playing Quicksilver’s sister in the film, and it looks like Johnson’s casting may be confirmed as well.

Latino-Review has reported that Johnson’s deal is done, and that he will indeed portray Quicksilver in the Avengers sequel. It’s not official yet, but El Miyambe sounds pretty confident about this one. No other information has been revealed about the casting.

Quicksilver is also set to appear in Bryan Singer’s upcoming X-Men: Days of Future Past, and American Horror Story‘s Evan Peters landed that role. Is there anyone else you’d rather see play the character in Age of Ultron? What do you think of the brother/sister duo now that they’ve both (allegedly) been cast? Sound out below! The Avengers: Age of Ultron hits theatres on May 1st, 2015!

Kick-Ass star Aaron Taylor-Johnson may soon be taking on the role of another hero. Deadline has learned that Marvel Studios is currently courting the actor for the role of Quicksilver in Joss Whedon’s 2015 release, The Avengers 2. There are alleged scheduling conflicts that may prevent the deal from happening, but I’m sure hoping that things work out as I believe this is a fantastic casting choice.

X-Men: Days of Future Past director Bryan Singer recently revealed that he would also be using Quicksilver in his film. That role went to American Horror Story‘s Evan Peters, which is also a great choice. The Avengers 2 will also feature Quicksilver’s twin sister, Scarlet Witch.

What do you think of the news? Would you like to see Aaron in the role, or is there a better choice out there? The Avengers 2 hits theatres on May 1st, 2015!

It’s now official, Avengers 2 WILL assemble once again on May 1st, 2015. This is the date fellow writer Shawn speculated last week! Can he see the future?!

Joss Whedon will write and direct the sequel to the massive success that is The Avengers.

The sequel will be the culmination of Marvel’s ‘Phase Two’ films that begins with Iron Man 3 on May 3, 2013. That will be followed by Thor: The Dark World (November 8th, 3013), Captain America: The Winter Solider (April 4th, 2014), Guardians of The Galaxy (August 1st, 2014). Ant-Man, which still have no official start date nor a release date is also speculated to be released in 2014.

It’s a great time to be a Marvel fan! Stay tuned to Geekscape as we’ll bring you the latest updates on all the ‘Phase Two’ slate of movies as well as all your geek-related news. Excelsior!

It’s not a suprise. After the news of Marvel filling trademarks for ‘Guardians Of The Galaxy’ it was obvious it was coming. But according to Latino Review (who has been pretty reliable about Marvel Studios news)…it’s coming a lot sooner than we thought. Kevin Fiege has been talking some time now about doing a space epic and now it’s coming.

For those unfamiliar with ‘Guardians Of The Galaxy’, the comic first appeared in 1969 and was resurrected in 2008. The story centers on a group of alien beings in the 31st century who are each the last of their kind. They eventually travel back in time and interact with 20th century Marvel characters which would most likely be how the movie would end and tie into ‘The Avengers 2’.

It’s reported that we will get an official announcement at the Marvel Studios panel during San Diego Comic-Con in two weeks. We are also told to expect Nova and that the script is “incredible” and will lead up to ‘The Avengers 2’ in 2015. Oh and is Thanos in it? Yes. Yes he is.

In what can be referred to as the most obvious move in film history, Disney today has announced that they have secured a sequel to the EXPLOSIVELY successful Avengers movie.

With $654 MILLION in opening weekend box office sales worldwide, it is no surprise that Disney wants to get the ball rolling on a sequel in order to ride the good press.

Disney CEO Bob Iger was quoted saying “There is a strong demand for Avengers merchandsie.” No fucking duh Bob.
