Briefly: Captain America: The Winter Soldier is less than a month away from Blu-Ray, and Marvel has just officially debuted two deleted scenes from the release.

Cap 2 was a great watch when it hit theatres back in April, and I’m really looking forward to checking it out again. The Blu-Ray will hit stores on September 9th, and will include, Making-of Featurettes, Audio Commentary, Never-Before-Seen Deleted Scenes, Bloopers, And More…

Take a look at the scenes below, and let us know what you think!

After the cataclysmic events in New York with The Avengers, Marvel’s Captain America: The Winter Soldier finds Steve Rogers – aka Captain America – living quietly in Washington, DC, and trying to adjust to the modern world. But when a S.H.I.E.L.D. colleague comes under attack, Steve becomes embroiled in a web of intrigue that threatens to put the world at risk. Joining forces with the Black Widow, Captain America struggles to expose the ever-widening conspiracy while fighting off professional assassins sent to silence him at every turn. When the full scope of the villainous plot is revealed, Captain America and the Black Widow enlist the help of a new ally, the Falcon. However, they soon find themselves up against an unexpected and formidable enemy – the Winter Soldier.

Briefly: Since X-Men: Days of Future Past hit theatres on Friday, essentially erasing and re-writing the X-Men film franchise, we’ve all been wondering whether or not Days was a swan song for the original X-Men cast, or if we’d be seeing them again in the next film, X-Men: Apocalypse (which Jon and Ian discuss at length, along with the rest of DoFP in the latest podcast).

In an interview with The Daily Beast, screenwriter and producer Simon Kinberg, he states that Apocalypse “will focus primarily on the First Class cast, but it will certainly have some of the original cast involved, too.”

It’s not much, but it’s something! Who would you like to see in the film? X-Men: Apocalypse hits theatres on May 26th, 2016!

I’d take a look at the full interview too, it’s pretty great.

Briefly: It’s been a long time coming, but Vol. 2 of Mark Waid’s Empire is almost here!

The new book will continue “the saga of Golgoth, a remorseless villain whose long-game plan of world domination finally won him the planet Earth and everything on it. While Golgoth’s reign in the first book was filled with challenges and conflicts – including a drug-induced plot again him by his own ministers, his innocent daughter’s troublesome aspirations, and the threat of extraterrestrial forces – Volume 2 opens with his grip on the world as strong as ever.

But where is his strength coming from? The sole loyalist who kept him anchored to humanity is one year gone, and on the anniversary of Golgoth’s loss, several seemingly coordinated new threats are surfacing around the globe. Each presents its own unique threat to the throne, and if Golgoth wants to maintain the crown, he will have to divide his forces–and his attentions–in dangerous new ways.”

The book will be available exclusively on ThrillBent, a service that boasts a myriad of awesome comic book content for a cool $3.99 per month subscription. The first piece of Vol. 2 hits ThrillBent on May 28th, and will continue twice monthly thereafter.

With art from co-creator Barry Kitson, as well as  Chris Sotomayor on colours and Troy Peteri on lettering, Empire should be worth the subscription alone. You can take a look at the cover art for Empire Vol. 2 below, and let us know what you think!

Briefly: With just one week remaining until the film’s release. Fox has just debuted a new featurette for their highly anticipated X-Men: Days of Future Past.

The video is titled ‘Extinction’ and features the cast chatting about what’ll happen if they don’t succeed in their newest mission. It also features some great looking new footage… which I almost wish that I hadn’t seen as we’ve pretty much seen the whole movie by now.

Take a look at the featurette below, and let us know what you think! X-Men: Days of Future Past hits theatres on May 23rd!

Briefly: With just two more weeks of waiting until X-Men: Days of Future Past hits theatres, Fox is really ramping up the marketing for the film.

Today, the studio released a new ‘Quicksilver Power Piece’ clip, which is a mashup of a ton of impressive new Quicksilver footage. He still looks pretty lame (in my opinion), but definitely fares better in motion than in still photos.

Take a look at the (spoilery) footage below, and let us know if you’re excited for the film. X-Men: Days of Future Past hits theatres on May 23rd!

The ultimate X-Men ensemble fights a war for the survival of the species across two time periods in X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST. Briefly: Another day, another clip from this month’s X-Men: Days of Future Past.

This one takes us back in time, and shows us Beast meeting Wolverine for the first time. Hilarity, of course, ensures.

We’re all pretty excited for the film, and if the rest of the feature is anything like this clip, we’ll be in for a treat on May 22nd. Take a look at the clip below, and let us know what you think.

This one’s actually pretty powerful. It features Xavier and Lensherr discussing just who abandoned who, and also explains why we see Xavier walking.

We’re all pretty excited for the film, and if the rest of the feature is anything like this clip, we’ll be in for a treat on May 22nd. Take a look at the clip below, and let us know what you think.

Briefly: Following the film’s first clip from a few weeks back, Fox has debuted the second clip from X-Men: Days of Future Past.

This one features Peter Dinklage’s Bolivar Trask in what looks to be his first run in with Jennifer Lawrence’s Mystique. Take a look at the clip below, and be sure to let us know if you’re looking forward to the film. X-Men: Days of Future Past hits theatres on May 23rd!

Briefly: Following the fantastic final trailer for the film, Fox today debuted FIVE (yes, you read that right) featurettes for the highly anticipated film.

Each featurette, of course, provides us with some great behind-the-scenes insight, and also shows off some new footage. We’re really excited for the full feature, so each of these short videos is definitely worth the watch.

Briefly: We showed you the first clip from Bryan Singer’s anticipated X-Men: Days of Future Past just a few days back, and as previously announced, the epic final trailer for the film has just made its way online.

I won’t spoil things for you… but it’s pretty great. Take a look at the trailer below, and let us know what you’re looking forward to seeing in the full feature! X-Men: Days of Future Past hits theatres on May 22nd!

Supposedly, it’s an extended clip showing off the opening battle of the film that just debuted at the MTV Movie Awards. USA residents, watch it below, and I’ll update with a global link as soon as one is available!

Briefly: EW today debuted a new look at Evan Peter’s Quicksilver in next month’s X-Men: Days of Future Past.

The character’s design has been largely criticized since its debut, but (to me, anyways) he certainly looks better in action than while posing. The scene is apparently one of Peters’ only in the film, as writer/producer Simon Kinberg explains that it “is the bulk of Quicksilver’s presence in this film. They need somebody who can help them get in and out of somewhere. And the idea is that Logan knew him in the future and so they go to try to find his younger self.”

Take a look at the still below, and be sure to let us know if you’re looking forward to X-Men: Days of Future Past. Be sure to look for the film’s final trailer on April 15th.

Today, the studio debuted four more!

The movie’s looking pretty hot, and as you can expect, we can’t wait to see it. Rewatch the theatrical trailer here if you need to, and take a look at the next posters below. X-Men: Days of Future Past hits theatres on May 23rd!

Briefly: We’re just over a month away from the release of Bryan Singer’s X-Men: Days of Future Past, and Fox has just debuted the film’s first TV spot.

The video features some footage that we haven’t seen before (mixed, of course, with footage that we have, like last week’s awesome new trailer), and does a great job of reminding us that this is a merger of the characters that we knew and loved in the first films, as well as everything that was fantastic about X-Men: Days of Future Past.

It’s probably going to rock (probably), and we can’t wait. Take a look at the spot below, and let us know what you think. X-Men: Days of Future Past hits theatres on May 23rd!

Briefly: Following that new still from a week back (and the trailer teaser from a few days ago), Fox has finally debuted a second trailer for May’s X-Men: Days of Future Past.

This trailer shows much more than the ‘cast recap’ trailer that we saw back in October, and it features some absolutely gorgeous shots and reveals. Fox has also released a cool new poster for the movie:

Briefly: Sure, the Transformers: Age of Extinction IMAX poster was pretty cool, but the just released IMAX one-sheet for Captain America: The Winter Soldier is freaking gorgeous.

Take a look at the poster below, and if you missed it, watch the first 10 minutes of the movie here. Excited? You should be! Captain America: The Winter Soldier hits theatres on April 4th!

Briefly: I’m going to avoid as many spoilers as possible before seeing the film, so I haven’t watched the video below, but alas, Marvel has released the first 10 minutes of Captain America: The Winter Soldier online for your viewing pleasure.

You can take a look at the video below, and let us know what you think! I can’t wait to see it when the film hits theatres on April 4th!

Briefly: We’ve seen him in the trailers, but Marvel has just launched a brand-new featurette for Captain America: The Winter Soldier that lets Anthony Mackie’s Sam Wilson / The Falcon take centre stage.

The film (finally) launches on April 4th, and from every piece of promotion we’ve seen so far, it looks insanely entertaining. The Winter Soldier is probably the phase three film that I’m most looking forward to.

You can take a look at the featurette below, and be sure to let us know what you hope to see in the full film. Just a few more weeks of waiting to go!

Briefly: TotalFilm today debuted a brand-new still from May’s highly anticipated X-Men: Days of Future Past. The still features a young Magneto pointing a gun at something offscreen, while Wolverine and Beast look, well, uncomfortable.

Also, the BBFC has rated a second trailer for the film, with a running time of two minutes, twenty eight seconds, so I imagine we’ll see that online in the coming days. Take a look at the still below, and we’ll be sure to share the new trailer as soon as it’s available.

Briefly: Well, the Super Bowl is over. The game was miserable (well, for Broncos fans at least), but the commercials, trailers, and TV spots were great.

During the game, Marvel debuted a brand-new TV spot for the film, and subsequently released an awesome new trailer online. This Winter Soldier-focussed preview may be one of the best Marvel trailers that I’ve seen in quite some time. Seriously, it’s awesome!

Briefly: Just as Bryan Singer revealed in his cryptic tweets last week, It’s a BIG day for those of us looking forward to X-Men: Days of Future Past.

To mark the biggest super-hero movies ever made, this month’s issue of Empire Magazine will feature 25 different, limited edition covers featuring one of the film’s prominent cast members (meaning that you probably won’t see Anna Paquin on one of them).

You can head to Empire here to order all the covers you desire, and you can check them out in the gallery below. Only 15 of the 25 have been revealed so far, so we’ll keep the gallery updated with new images. Take a look below, and let us know which one is your favourite!

Update: Here’s another batch of covers. They’re still coming down the pipeline, so keep checking this space! Even Rogue, who was cut from the film, got a cover!

Update 2: Here’s the final batch of posters, including a look at the film’s future Sentinel.

Again, be sure to let us know your favourites, and also… how dumb does Quicksilver look?

Briefly: In late October, we showed you the first trailer for April’s highly anticipated Captain America: The Winter Soldier.

Empire’s latest issue just hit newsstands, and this month’s cover features something that the film’s excellent first trailer didn’t, the Winter Soldier’s face.

It seems like just yesterday I was talking about this movie. Oh wait…I was. An interesting little thing that was noticed by Empire is a Twitter exchange between David Slade and a fan. While there is tons of speculation here…we all should know by now that sometime speculation leads to truth.

Now while he could be just replying to the first part of the tweet (getting back to the Daredevil stuff soon) I don’t think its entirely out of the question. David Slade and Hartnett have worked together in the past (’30 Days Of Night’) and many times directors do like to bring back actors they’ve worked with before. Could you see Hartnett as The Man Without Fear?

Side note: Slade has since deleted the tweet. Sneaky sneaky. Maybe he said something he wasn’t supposed to…yet?

In the last issue of Empire Marvel Studios president Kevin Fiege shared his thoughts on the success of “The Avengers” and a little bit about the future films. Primarily focusing on “Thor 2”.

Fiege on the success of “The Avengers” stated “I was just hoping it would beat the opening weekend of Iron Man 2, which was the biggest opening weekend for any Marvel Studios movie. We did 80 or 90 million above that. As the numbers started coming in on Friday night, Saturday night, Sunday night, they just kept getting bigger and bigger, into areas I would never in a million years have believed.”

“The Avengers was not the finale for us,” making it clear the studio still has big plans ahead “It was a giant, giant marker, but it was never the finale. We are already well into the plan for the next phase of our little cinematic universe.” That next phase includes Thor 2, and Feige had this to say about what we should expect from the sequel. “We’re going to see the other side of Asgard. It’s not all polished and golden in this film. And the events of Avengers will have affected Thor for sure. His relationship with Loki will continue to evolve, and the biggest part is Natalie and Thor returning with Jane Foster”

After Loki’s failure in “The Avengers” and the threat made by The Other many speculated that Thanos would be the antagonist in Thors next outing. Fiege was quick to shoot that down and talk of a new villain (most likely played by Mads Mikkelson) “No, future, future. But there will be a major new villain. A major, major new antagonist…”

Could his wording be a hint? Many have begun speculating that it could be The Enchantress and The Executioner…

But could “future” indicate another “major” Marvel villain?

Guess we will have to wait and see.
