Briefly: We’ve seen glimpses of Punisher and Elektra in earlier trailers (which yes, we are still watching on repeat), but today’s teaser, entitled ‘Suiting Up’ gives us our best look at Punisher and Elektra’s costumes yet!

Just when Matt thinks he is bringing order back to the city, new forces are rising in Hell’s Kitchen. Now the Man Without Fear must take on a new adversary in Frank Castle and face an old flame – Elektra Natchios.

Bigger problems emerge when Frank Castle, a man looking for vengeance, is reborn as The Punisher, a man who takes justice into his own hands in Matt’s neighborhood. Meanwhile, Matt must balance his duty to his community as a lawyer and his dangerous life as the Devil of Hell’s Kitchen, facing a life-altering choice that forces him to truly understand what it means to be a hero.

Take a look at the teaser below, and let us know how many episodes you plan to watch on March 18th!

Briefly: Wow. Wow. Wow.

10 days ago we saw an amazing first trailer for Daredevil‘s upcoming second season. The last few seconds of that video noted that today, February 25th, we’d be teased yet again with another trailer for the beyond anticipated episodes.

The new trailer has just debuted online, and it re-introduces us to a few familiar faces (and the Yazuka), and also digs into Matt and Elektra’s troubled past.

It’s essentially made up of entirely new footage, and as hard as I thought it would be to top the trailer that we saw earlier this month, I think that this one has done it.

Take a look at the (kinda spoilery) trailer below, and be sure to let us know how many episodes of Daredevil you plan to watch on March 18th!

Briefly: Following the in-motion looks at Foggy Nelson and Karen Page, Netflix has just debuted new motion artwork depicting a menacing Frank Castle (holding Daredevil’s mask to boot).

Briefly: Yeah, these two new teasers don’t really show us much of anything (and aren’t even real footage), but we’re so excited for Daredevil’s upcoming second season that we simply had to share.

We’re still watching the season’s recently-released full trailer on repeat, and now he have new looks at Foggy and Karen to add to the rotation.

Briefly: Wow.

Finally, Netflix has released the full trailer for Daredevil‘s second season (after giving us the release date last month, and teasing us late last year).

This trailer gives us a fantastic look at Jon Bernthal’s (which looks as though it could be a Shane-eclipsing performance for Bernthal, and I cannot freaking wait to binge watch this one (and for Jonathan and Ian Kerner to break the season down).

Briefly: Earlier this week, a heavy rumour led a plethora of outlets (including us) to report that the second season of the Marvel/Netflix masterpiece, Daredevil, would debut on March 25th (the very same day that Warner Bros. Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice hits theatres).

Netflix has just debuted a new teaser for the anticipated season, which doesn’t offer any new footage, but does give us a gorgeous recap of some of the events in the series’ celebrated first season before revealing season two’s official worldwide release date at its conclusion.

If this teaser exists simply to make us want to re-watch Daredevil before its just-announced March 18th premiere, it’s damned successful at it, as I’m now desperate for my Daredevil fix.

In any case, take a look at the new teaser and neat poster below, and let us know just how excited you are for more Daredevil!

Briefly: Following the gorgeous set of stills released last week, which gave us our first clear looks at Elektra and Jon Bernthal’s Punisher, an intriguing rumour for Daredevil‘s upcoming second season has just hit the web.

Comicbook.com has reported that Netflix will launch Daredevil‘s second season just a few months from now on March 25th.

That date sounds familiar, doesn’t it? That’s because it’s the very same day that Warner Bros. will debut its sure-to-be-a-blockbuster Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice in theatres.

Nothing has been confirmed at this point, but debuting Daredevil on Batman v. Superman‘s release day could surely be a thorn in Warner Bros. box office side. Dawn of Justice was designed from the start to launch DC’s joined cinematic universe, and I’m sure that Marvel would love to have as much of an affect on its opening weekend as possible.

It’s not the first time that Marvel has done this, so it certainly wouldn’t be unprecedented, as Captain America: Civil War‘s May 6th launch was also the origial release date for Batman v. Superman, before Warner Bros. pulled the film to March 25th.

In any case, if the rumour turns out to be true? Which will you be watching first? Sound out below!

Briefly: Yep, we just had our first look at Jon Bernthal’s Punisher a few hours ago (well, after we saw the back of his head back at NYCC), and now Netflix has debuted a batch of new stills from Daredevil‘s heavily anticipated second season.

The images feature our beloved trio, another, even better look at Punisher, and even a shot of the mysterious Elektra.

As much as I love pretty much everything with Netflix’ name on it, the second season of Daredevil is by far my most anticipated. It’s been far, far too many years since we’ve seen a close-to-decent Punisher performance onscreen, and Jon Bernthal’s intensity should lend itself well to the role.

For now, take a look at the new stills below, and be sure to let us know what you hope to see in the season! Daredevil‘s second season will hit Netflix sometime in 2016!

Briefly: Sure, we saw a split second shot of the back of his head back in the first teaser for Daredevil‘s second season back in October, but following our first look at Doctor Strange yesterday, EW has just given us our first real look at Jon Bernthal’s Punisher.

EW notes that Daredevil‘s upcoming season will bring with it a ‘faster pace, more romance, and some morally complex storytelling that introduces the controversial gun-touting super-antihero The Punisher.’

The article also reveals that, unlike the slow-burn beginning of Daredevil‘s first season, ‘season 2 opens with an action scene and very quickly introduces Frank Castle a.k.a. The Punisher. Co-showrunner Doug Petrie notes that “The advantage of any sequel is you can dive right in. We hit the ground running and then we ran as fast as we f—ing could.”

We can’t freaking wait. Head over to EW for more revelations from the first-look article, and be sure to let us know if you’re excited for Daredevil‘s return!

Oh, we also got a shot of Karen and Matt playing pool all flirty like:

Briefly: The coolest thing to come out of New York Comic-Con? Maybe, though it was also cool to hear that next month’s Jessica Jones is awesome.

The very first teaser for the yet-undated (well, 2016) second season of Marvel / Netflix’s Daredevil was shown off at the convention, and the 30 fantastic I-should-probably-rewatch-Daredevil seconds are now online to make you wish it was next year already.

The teaser shows Matt, Foggy, Karen, and Claire all looking fairly somber (probably about all the shit that happened at the end of Daredevil’s incredible first season), and also gives us our first beyond-brief look at Jon Bernthal’s Punisher, and Elodie Yung’s Elektra.

We cannot wait to see more footage. Take a look at this teaser below, and let us know what you hope to see in the next season!

Marvel has officially announced that Scott Glenn will reprise his role as ‘Stick’ when Marvel’s ‘Daredevil’ returns to Netflix in 2016 for season two. According to the announcement, Stick will return to the series to get Matt Murdock’s (Charlie Cox) help for a new mission. He is set to appear in three episodes in season 2.

The appearance of Stick in season 1 was definitely a highlight for me, the back story to Matt’s super training with Stick made his abilities seem plausible. I am riding such a high with all these Marvel – Netflix casting announcements. I really am more excited for these street leveled shows than the big budget Avenger films.

Stick

Marvel and Netflix’s ‘Daredevil’ is a 13 episode masterpiece. From the incredible performances to the perfectly picked classic Daredevil moments from the past 40 years, it changes the game for comic book adaptations. But what did you miss? How is this going to shape things to come for the great Marvel Cinematic Universe? Luckily, Ian Kerner is here to help me make sense of what I argue is the greatest thing Marvel has produced yet!

Joe Carnahan sat down and talked to The Radio Dan Show about his plans for a Daredevil movie that was supposed to happen until Fox pulled the cord. We also find out why he wanted to make the movie a period piece rather than set it in the present. Collider has hooked us up with a transcription on what was discussed.

On why there wasn’t enough time to bring his version to the screen:

I was brought in pretty late in the game, and my take probably didn’t help matters since they had an existing script. But I just thought that if you were going to do it, this was the way to go. This is the way that intrigued me…It was initially something I passed on because Christopher Nolan had done such a lovely job with Batman and unless you’re going to go after that trilogy, then that’s how you have to think. You can’t out-hurdle that, then what’s the point of trying? So it set the bar extraordinarily high, and I thought ‘Well, if we’re going to do this, let’s have a discussion about Hell’s Kitchen, and how it was really Hell’s Kitchen in the 70s,” so that got me really excited. But as I mentioned, the clock ticking and this kind of October drop-dead date, it wasn’t tenable. And having gone down this road in the past when you’re trying to write something and shoot it at the same time is disastrous, and I think you’d need an adequate amount of time to put that script together in the right way. My brother [Matthew Michael Carnahan (The Kingdom)] was interested in writing it with me, so we’ll see.

On why he thought a period piece for Daredevil would have been a good choice:

As I’m finishing my kind of reimagining of Death Wish, I think the 70s is figuring into my conscious and subconscious mind right now. I think it was the last time music and movies were just tremendous. We just cranked out some great stuff. I think that’s why the sizzle reel is able to be kind of abstract because people have such great fondness in their hearts for that decade, particularly the early part of that decade. I’m excited; you know the idea of having Daredevil on top of a building somewhere with the Serpico marquee in the background was enough, that image was enough, for me to want to make the movie.

Many fans weren’t too fond of the idea of another Daredevil film being brought to us by Fox until they found out about Carnahan’s attachment to the project. And after his sizzle reels were shown to us last night, giving us an idea on what the project would have been like, some of us are actually let down that it isn’t happening. Now, the big questions is…what will Marvel do with the man without fear?

With news breaking that Fox is going to let Daredevil’s rights revert back to Marvel director Joe Carnahan has decided to let us check out the sizzle reels that he used to present his vision to the studio of what his film would’ve been like. The reels are comprised of  footage from other movies and some comics art, and man does it look like we may have actually been getting an awesome Daredevil movie. Watching these kinds of makes me sad that Fox is letting go of the rights.

In a follow up to yesterday’s piece it’s appearing that Fox is just giving up on the Daredevil reboot and allowing the rights to revert back to Marvel. This project has been in the works for awhile now but just kept hitting road bump after road bump. Following his tweets yesterday director Joe Carnahan (The Grey) clarified a bit on what his tweets meant today.

Guys. To clarify. DD pitch was tremendous and everyone flipped for it. The clock ticked down at Fox, that’s why it went tits up.

I will post the piece we did since it should be seen be all now…then you guys decide.

With less than two months before they had to get a movie into production before losing the rights it was pretty apparent that this would end up happening. However, I was quite interested in seeing what Carnahan had in mind after reading about it. It actually sounded like it would be a good movie. Well, he could always pitch the idea to Marvel and see if they want to go with it and give him a chance. However, the problem with that right there is that Marvel has a pretty big stable of characters and films planned already meaning that it doesn’t necessarily mean that we will see the man without fear on the big screen anytime soon.

• Nelson/Murdock no more! Foggy’s discovered a secret Matt’s been keeping–and he doesn’t take it well!
• And a last page shock that will have Daredevil fans buzzing!

It seems like just yesterday I was talking about this movie. Oh wait…I was. An interesting little thing that was noticed by Empire is a Twitter exchange between David Slade and a fan. While there is tons of speculation here…we all should know by now that sometime speculation leads to truth.

Now while he could be just replying to the first part of the tweet (getting back to the Daredevil stuff soon) I don’t think its entirely out of the question. David Slade and Hartnett have worked together in the past (’30 Days Of Night’) and many times directors do like to bring back actors they’ve worked with before. Could you see Hartnett as The Man Without Fear?

Side note: Slade has since deleted the tweet. Sneaky sneaky. Maybe he said something he wasn’t supposed to…yet?
