The previous two months of Loot Wear crates, for the most part, haven’t wowed me. The quality has been fine, and all but the licenses used just weren’t within my realm of interests. That completely changed with this month’s shipment. Bearing the theme “Magical,” the titles included are Kingdom Hearts, Harry Potter, Dr. Strange, and Adventure Time.

My favorite item from this month is the Kingdom Hearts Icons Scarf. It is very soft and consists of several layers, providing a considerable amount of warmth. It is a nice, subtle way to show your love for the game series in the cold weather months.

Dobby would have loved these. The Harry Potter socks are so freaking cute I don’t know whether to put them on my feet or frame them! The print bears a mix of the story’s characters (Hedwig in the cage!) along with spells. Expecto Patronum!

Harry Potter‘s other item is the Crest Logo (lounge) pants. Like the lounge pants found in this month’s Loot Anime crate, these are made of a light jersey fabric. The four Houses in Hogwarts are represented here: Gryffindor, Ravenclaw, Hufflepuff, and Slytherin. One neat detail about the print on the pants is that House crests are made to look like patches with faux stitching around the edging.

The second pair of socks is themed to Doctor Strange with the Eye of Agamotto on the top of each. These would make a fun accessory to a cosplay outfit.

Building on the the whole “ugly Christmas sweater” trend, Loot Wear included a Doctor Strange shirt that imitates sweater patterns. In all honesty, the shirt graphic more brings to mind NES graphics rather than the stitches on a garment. It is still nifty, though.

I think it is combination of my not wearing men’s underwear and lack of interest in the Adventure Time series that adds up to this pair of Earl of Lemongrab underwear being the least cool item in the crate. All things considered, five out of six is a pretty dang good.

Both Ant-Man and Doctor Stange have been two projects that Marvel Studios has talked about but never confirmed. That was until at last year’s San Diego Comic-Con when Marvel announced finally announced Ant-Man was happening. Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige has now spoken about Marvel Studios “Phase 3” and stated that the character will be a major part of it.

“Ant-Man’ is definitely part of Phase Three. Like ‘Iron Man 3,’ it’s certainly set in the Marvel Universe.”

Fiege also went on to state that Marvel’s next phase will be quite different from what they’re telling currently.

“So much of what we’re telling right now is about the core ‘Avengers’ characters we’ve now met, and they’ll be evolving in big, surprising ways, in Cap’s next movie and Thor’s next movie and of course in ‘Iron Man 3,’ as we get them all into the next ‘Avengers’ film. Beyond that ‘Ant-Man’ is the only one officially announced.”

Fiege then went on to confirm that Dr. Strange is DEFINITELY a part of Phase Three.

“‘Doctor Strange,’ which I’ve been talking about for years, is definitely one of them. He’s a great, original character, and he checks the box off this criteria that I have: he’s totally different from anything else we have, just like ‘Guardians of the Galaxy.’ He’s totally different from anything we’ve done before, as is ‘Ant-Man,’ which keeps us excited.”

Marvel Studios “Phase Two” hasn’t even officially started but the excitement is already building for the next phase. Could the next step for Marvel be an all-new cast of characters versus sequels? Well, hopefully we get at least a Guardians Of The Galaxy sequel.

While Marvel Studios “Phase Two” has yet to begin, people are already wondering what exactly “Phase Three” will bring us. Both Doctor Strange and Black Panther have long been rumored to to be hitting the big screen eventually from Marvel Studios.

Now, in a recent interview Stan Lee says that you can definitely except to see Marvel’s Sorcerer Supreme coming to the big screen and a Black Panther film IS indeed being developed. Could one of these be the secret film project that Joe Quesada is working on?

“Oh they are all being made into movies! I can tell you there will definitely be a Dr. Strange movie! They are working on Antman, which requires really small cameras! Black Panther is being developed, one of my favorites…the Inhumans…All the hero’s will eventually be made into movies.”

This isn’t the first time Stan The Man has talked about these project before. But in the past Lee only stated that these were being considered for adaptation. A Inhumans film was actually talked about by Kevin Feige in the past before any word of Guardians Of The Galaxy was announced. Could that be the cosmic movie of “Phase Three”?

Lee also spoke a small amount about his Executive Producing responsibilities, and stated that really doesn’t do anything.

“I have very little control. I don’t see the script, occasionally I will have lunch with the director or a star, like the guy making Antman,I don’t remember his name- I don’t remember names, or Robert Downey Jr., for Ironman and we talk about the characters.”

Lee went on to explain that the only time he actually has anything to do with the film is his cameos and just like us he’s a fan that gets excited to see these films for the first times at their premieres. When asked about how he felt about the movies:

“I love them! I feel like an actor! I can’t wait to be in the credits and also think that the Oscars should add a category for “best cameo”! But wait until you see my cameo is Ironman 3. It’s the best one so far!”

A few days ago word broke out that Marvel may just be introducing their resident sorcerer surpreme in Thor: The Dark World. And now there’s a rumor that Viggo Mortensen may be up for the role. A Twitter user by the name of Roger Wardell, who previously leaked out information on Captain America: The Winter Soldier such as the appearance of The Falcon prior to them being announced, tweeted the following:

Inside News: There’s something “Strange” about Thor: The Dark World

Inside News: Marvel is negotiations with Viggo Mortensen for an unspecified role in one of their Phase 2 films

But then he tweeted this one right here that made me think otherwise about the Dr. Strange rumor:

Inside News: Every villain answers to somebody, even the Winter Soldier. Who better to answer to than a Baron?

It’s been speculated for quite some time that Baron Zemo would appear in the sequel to Captain America: The First Avenger. While many are speculating that he could be up for the Dr. Strange role I am leaning towards Zemo myself. Could Marvel be setting up the Masters Of Evil? Right now this is just speculation and I would hold off on getting too excited until anything is officially announced. But, then again it could pan out to be true.  Which role would you rather see him play?

For quite some time now it’s been well known that Marvel Studios has wanted to make a Doctor Strange movie. They even have a completed script by Thomas Dean Donnelly and Joshua Oppenheimer that was sent out to directors over a year ago. Well, this rumor seemed to slip past a few people. It seems that The Playlist recorded a podcast a while back that mentioned that they might know something about a sorcerer surpreme’s appearance in Thor: The Dark World. The most interesting part of this? It’s more than just a cameo. Screenrant broke it down like this:

The Playlist claimed that Natalie Portman’s character Jane Foster could be working alongside Dr. Strange in a similar capacity as she did with Stellan Skarsgård’s Dr. Erik Selvig in the first film, and that Strange would be playing a big part in “all three acts” of the film, as opposed to being relegated to a cameo-type introduction. He would play a scientist (he’s a genius neurosurgeon in the comics) and someone who’s deeply interested in Foster’s stories and knowledge about Asgard and Thor.

Actually, I lied about something. The most interesting part of this was the rumor of who Marvel Studios apparently wanted Joel Edgerton (Warrior) as their Doctor Strange. The key word being “wanted”. They may have moved on and found another actor at this point if this turns out to be true. And apparently there’s quite a few bits and pieces to this rumor that could lead to it being true. The same source apparently leaked out the information about The Falcon appearing Captain America: The Winter Soldier prior to Anthony Mackie’s casting. Let’s also not forget the Orb Of Agamatto that appeared in Odin’s vault in Thor.

The Agamatto objects are the source of Strange’s supernatural powers, and according to The Playlist’s information, one of those objects could come crashing down on earth – thus explaining Strange’s cinematic origins. Is Marvel planning on introducing their “Phase Three” characters early? Well, that’d be a smart decision and so far Marvel Studios definitely has a track record of making smart decisions with their movies. So, what are your guys thoughts on this one?

• They gather to stop the horrors of the Marvel universe before they happen…
• …but the secret group known as the illuminati failed to stop the Phoenix time and time again.
• They come together one last time…but will it be enough?
