Briefly: Civilization fans, your mobile life is about to end.

2K Games and FirAxis have officially announced the long-awaited sequel to the 2008 console/mobile Civilization title, Civilization Revolution.

The game will launch for iOS on July 2nd, and will hit Android devices “soon”.

Civilization Revolution 2 is much prettier than the previous iteration, and “will combine the core tactical elements of the series with intuitive controls and a friendly user interface – designed specifically for mobile gamers on touch-pad devices.” This one was designed from the ground up for mobile devices, so some of the frustrations players had with the first game shouldn’t appear here.

Take a look at the first screenshots below, and let us know if you’ll be giving this a download!

2K today announced that Sid Meier’s Civilization® Revolution™ 2, the sequel to one of the most popular and award-winning, turn-based strategy games to hit the App Store*, is launching as a premium title on July 2 for iOS devices, including the iPhone, iPad, iPad Mini and iPod Touch. The title will be coming soon to Android devices.

Civilization Revolution 2 is the first Civilization game to be developed exclusively for mobile platforms, delivering high-impact graphics and new gameplay and controls that capitalize on the mobile technology advancements since the original Sid Meier’s Civilization Revolution launched more than five years ago. The game will combine the core tactical elements of the series with intuitive controls and a friendly user interface – designed specifically for mobile gamers on touch-pad devices. Civilization fans will also recognize the 16 historical leaders found in the first game, including Abraham Lincoln, Gandhi and Napoleon, alongside leaders such as Churchill and Kennedy, who are making their appearance in the series for the first time.

The original Civilization Revolution, designed by Firaxis Games in 2008, was a watershed game for console and handheld systems and brought to iPhone in 2009. In 2010, the title was optimized for Apple’s high-definition iPad and has since achieved an average rating of 4/5 stars among iOS users. Staying true to the series, Civilization Revolution 2 will allow players to lead a civilization from the dawn of man to the modern age, and go head-to-head with history’s most intrepid leaders as they wage war, conduct diplomacy, discover new technologies, and build the most powerful empire the world has ever known in a race for ultimate supremacy.

Briefly: Following the reveal of Charlie Cox as Daredevil and Vincent D’Onofrio as The Kingpin, Marvel has officially announced that Rosario Dawson has joined the Daredevil series for Netflix.

Jeph Loeb, Marvel’s Head of Television said that “Rosario Dawson is one the most charismatic, talented and powerful actresses in Hollywood, so she was always at the top of our list for ‘Marvel’s Daredevil. Her role in the series is absolutely critical to Matt Murdock’s journey to become the hero we know as Daredevil.”

She’s no stranger to comic book adaptations, portraying Gail in both Sin City films and voicing Artemis in the 2009 animated Wonder Woman film.

The release reads that Dawson “will play a dedicated young woman whose quest to heal the wounds of Hell’s Kitchen brings Matt Murdock unexpectedly crashing into her life, while her own journey forever alters the course of his battle against the injustices of this broken city.”

Briefly: This is some very cool news.

Deadline has learned that Looper, Brick (if you haven’t seen this, definitely, definitely look into it), and Breaking Bad‘s Ozymandias director Rian Johnson has been tapped to write and direct both Star Wars: Episode VIII and Star Wars: Episode IX.

So now we have Abrams on Episode VIIGodzilla director Gareth Edwards on one of the standalone films, Chronicles Josh Trank on another, and Johnson on Episode VIII and IX. That’s some pretty stellar talent. Are you excited yet?

Johnson hasn’t officially commented on the news, but did tweet out the following hilarious and fitting video:

Briefly: After all these years, we’re finally just a couple of months away from the release of Sin City: A Dame To Kill For.

I still remember being a 15 year old kid, absolutely falling in love with the first film, and being so excited when it was announced that a sequel would be put on the fast track. Now, it’s 9 years later, we’re finally close to seeing it.

The film’s first clip has just hit the web, and it shows off Rosario Dawson’s return to the series. Take a look at the clip below (via CBM) and let us know if you’re excited! Sin City: A Dame To Kill For hits theatres on August 22nd!

Co-directors Robert Rodriguez and Frank Miller reunite to bring Miller’s visually stunning “Sin City” graphic novels back to the screen in SIN CITY: A DAME TO KILL FOR. Weaving together two of Miller’s classic stories with new tales, the town’s most hard boiled citizens cross paths with some of its more reviled inhabitants. SIN CITY: A DAME TO KILL FOR is the follow up to Rodriguez and Miller’s 2005 groundbreaking film, FRANK MILLER’S SIN CITY.

Briefly: Breaking Bad fans just got some good and bad news.

AMC has just revealed that Better Call Saul has already been renewed for a second season, meaning that we’ll be seeing at least 23 episodes of the Breaking Bad prequel.

Conversely, the first season’s premiere has been pushed from later this year to early 2015, with the second season to follow in 2016.

The network has also debuted the first behind-the-scenes photo from the series. Take a look at the image below, and let us know if you’re looking forward to the show!

Thrillbent is addicting. The subscription service is an all-you-can read offering for creator-owned comic books. Basically, you pay a $3.99 per month subscription, and have access to Thrillbent‘s entire library via your web browser or the Thrillbent iPhone app.

The service currently offers over 260 creator-owned comics, including the second volume of Mark Waid’s Empire. Tomorrow, the catalogue grows again with the first chapter of House In The Wall, which is co-written by Batman Eternal‘s James Tynion and Noah J. Yuenkel with art by Eryk Donovan, colors by Fred C. Stressing, and letters by Troy Peteri.

The book “tells the story of Ariel Carpenter who has been sleep-walking through life for as long as she can remember. Nothing, not her boyfriend, her job or her friends… none of it seems to bring her any closer to reality. The only thing that seems solid, seems real, is a spectral house she visits every night in her dreams. But when she discovers a door to that impossible dream house in the wall of her run-down Brooklyn apartment, she’ll unlock an ancient horror that has the potential to destroy her life forever.”

The first chapter of the book doesn’t reveal a lot about what’s to come, but it does play off as a stellar introduction to Arial Carpenter and the world that she lives in. The first few panels purposefully play off a drab and boring, standard life before everything quickly goes to hell (quite literally). Eryk Donovan’s artwork expertly mixes the mundane with the supernatural, and an interesting reveal at the end of the 36 pages ensures that I’ll return for more.

The first issue of House In The Wall may only act as a preface to the true tale that’s still to come, but it’s a damn good one, and it’s more than worth your $3.99 subscription. House In The Wall begins on Thrillbent tomorrow!

Briefly: We’re still waiting on an official premiere date, but Fox has just debuted a cool new teaser for this Fall’s Gotham.

The teaser showcases all of the villains confirmed for the show’s first season, with a nice voiceover by Ryan Atwood Ben McKenzie’s James Gordon describing them pretty much verbatim to their character descriptions.

In any case, what we’ve seen so far has looked very promising, and we can’t wait to see more. Take a look at the teaser below, and let us know what you think!

http://youtu.be/islRZ_ygKk8

Everyone knows the name Commissioner Gordon. He is one of the crime world’s greatest foes, a man whose reputation is synonymous with law and order. But what is known of Gordon’s story and his rise from rookie detective to Police Commissioner? What did it take to navigate the multiple layers of corruption that secretly ruled Gotham City, the spawning ground of the world’s most iconic villains? And what circumstances created them – the larger-than-life personas who would become Catwoman, The Penguin, The Riddler, Two-Face and The Joker?

“Gotham” is an origin story of the great DC Comics super villains and vigilantes, revealing an entirely new chapter that has never been told. From executive producer/writer Bruno Heller (“The Mentalist,” “Rome”), “Gotham” follows one cop’s rise through a dangerously corrupt city teetering on the edge of evil and chronicles the birth of one of the most popular super heroes of our time.

Growing up in Gotham City’s surrounding suburbs, James Gordon (Ben McKenzie, “Southland,” “The O.C.”) romanticized the city as a glamorous and exciting metropolis where his late father once served as a successful district attorney. Now, two weeks into his new job as a Gotham City detective and engaged to his beloved fiancée, Barbara Kean (Erin Richards, Open Grave, “Breaking In”), Gordon is living his dream – even as he hopes to restore the city back to the pure version he remembers it was as a kid.

Brave, honest and ready to prove himself, the newly-minted detective is partnered with the brash, but shrewd police legend Harvey Bullock (Donal Logue, “Sons of Anarchy,” “Terriers,” “Vikings,” “Copper”), as the two stumble upon the city’s highest-profile case ever: the murder of local billionaires Thomas and Martha Wayne. At the scene of the crime, Gordon meets the sole survivor: the Waynes’ hauntingly intense 12-year-old son, Bruce (David Mazouz, “Touch”), toward whom the young detective feels an inexplicable kinship. Moved by the boy’s profound loss, Gordon vows to catch the killer.

As he navigates the often-underhanded politics of Gotham’s criminal justice system, Gordon will confront imposing gang boss Fish Mooney (Jada Pinkett Smith, The Matrix films, “HawthoRNe,” Collateral), and many of the characters who will become some of fiction’s most renowned, enduring villains, including a teenaged Selina Kyle/the future Catwoman (acting newcomer Camren Bicondova) and Oswald Cobblepot/The Penguin (Robin Lord Taylor, “The Walking Dead,” Another Earth).

Although the crime drama will follow Gordon’s turbulent and singular rise through the Gotham City police department, led by Police Captain Sarah Essen (Zabryna Guevara, “Burn Notice”), it also will focus on the unlikely friendship Gordon forms with the young heir to the Wayne fortune, who is being raised by his unflappable butler, Alfred (Sean Pertwee, “Camelot,” “Elementary”). It is a friendship that will last them all of their lives, playing a crucial role in helping the young boy eventually become the crusader he’s destined to be.

Briefly: Spring has come and gone, and we’ve still heard nary a word of Grand Theft Auto V‘s online heist component.

Rockstar today released a statement regarding the fact that none have been released (again, they were originally slated for Spring), but the developer assures us that the content is still on its way. Here’s what they had to say:

For those of you asking about other upcoming GTA Online updates, we have lots more in store coming your way soon. We know many fans have been eagerly awaiting the release of the Online Heists that we had planned to release for you this spring, and they are taking more time to create than originally anticipated. We are very sorry for the delay, and are working hard to bring them to you as soon as we can. Please know that we are focused as always on making the best possible content for you to play and we are thankful to all of you for your patience, understanding and support. Stay tuned for more information on that as well as lots of other ongoing content updates, enhancements and additions to the world of GTA Online that are on the way.

I dropped out of Grand Theft Auto: Online some time ago, but the inclusion of heists would definitely get me back into the game. This is what I imagined when they first showed off the multiplayer component, and what we have now, as fun as it is, is a far cry from what it could be.

Briefly: Following the cool first trailer from last month, The CW has debuted the first short featurette from The Flash.

It clocks in at less than a minute, and mainly features Candice Patton describing the complicated relationship between Barry and Iris. In any case, it also has a few seconds of new footage.

You can take a look at the video below, and be sure to let us know what you think! The Flash premieres on The CW this Fall!

Based upon characters published by DC Comics. Through a freak accident, scientist Barry Allen is given the power of super speed that transforms him into the Fastest Man Alive.

Briefly: The final trailer for next month’s Dawn of the Planet of the Apes has just hit the web, and it’s definitely a haunting one.

The video digs far deeper into the Caesar / Malcolm relationship than we’ve seen thus far, and shows us more footage of the apes just wanting to be peaceful (and the humans expectedly messing it up). The trailer is mostly new footage, and there are some spoiler-y moments here, so if you’re trying to keep things a surprise, I’d avoid this one. Otherwise, it’s awesome.

In ‘Dawn of the Planet of the Apes’, a growing nation of genetically evolved apes led by Caesar is threatened by a band of human survivors of the devastating virus unleashed a decade earlier. They reach a fragile peace, but it proves short-lived, as both sides are brought to the brink of a war that will determine who will emerge as Earth’s dominant species.

I can’t wait for this one. How about you? Check out the trailer below, and let us know what you think! Dawn of the Planet of the Apes hits theatres on July 11th!

Briefly: Thrillbent has already had huge success with its launch of Vol 2. of Mark Waid’s EmpireNow they’re looking to continue that success by releasing the first piece of James Tynion’s The House In The Wall.

The horror series “tells the story of Ariel Carpenter who has been sleep-walking through life for as long as she can remember.

The book will be available exclusively on ThrillBent, a service that boasts a myriad of awesome comic book content (including Empire) for a cool $3.99 per month subscription. Take a look at the key art for the series below, and let us know what you think!

The House in the Wall is co-written by Tynion and Noah J. Yuenkel, with art by Eryk Donovan, colors by Fred C. Stressing, and letters by Troy Peteri. The first issue launches on Thrillbent this Friday, with new issues following twice monthly!

Briefly: The film is now only a couple of months away from theatres, but Lionsgate has finally released the first theatrical trailer for The Expendables 3.

The trailer shows off all of the new (and familiar) faces that’ll appear in the new chapter, and also gives us a taste of the films’ sure-to-be-expansive plot. It seems as though The Expendables 3 will have the old dudes saving the new dudes, which I’m totally cool with.

Take a look at the trailer below, and let us know if you’re excited! The Expendables 3 hits theatres on August 15th!

Barney (Stallone), Christmas (Statham) and the rest of the team comes face-to-face with Conrad Stonebanks (Gibson), who years ago co-founded The Expendables with Barney. Stonebanks subsequently became a ruthless arms trader and someone who Barney was forced to kill… or so he thought. Stonebanks, who eluded death once before, now is making it his mission to end The Expendables — but Barney has other plans. Barney decides that he has to fight old blood with new blood, and brings in a new era of Expendables team members, recruiting individuals who are younger, faster and more tech-savvy. The latest mission becomes a clash of classic old-school style versus high-tech expertise in the Expendables’ most personal battle yet.

Briefly: Marvel has just released a brand new trailer for Guardians of the Galaxy, and it’s definitely the best one yet.

The new trailer takes us far deeper into the characters (and what they’re about to face) than we’ve seen so far. We get a look at Star Lord’s past, Rocket gets a few more lines, and Groot… well, says “I am Groot” in another location. It’s awesome.

It’s also pretty much all new footage, so there’s that. If you’re trying to avoid spoiling much in the film, stay away from this one. In any case, August can’t come soon enough. Take a look at the new trailer below, and let us know what you think!

From Marvel, the studio that brought you the global blockbuster franchise of Iron Man, Thor, Captain America and The Avengers, comes a new team–the Guardians of the Galaxy. An action-packed, epic space adventure, Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy expands the Marvel Cinematic Universe into the cosmos, where brash adventurer Peter Quill finds himself the object of an unrelenting bounty hunt after stealing a mysterious orb coveted by Ronan, a powerful villain with ambitions that threaten the entire universe. To evade the ever-persistent Ronan, Quill is forced into an uneasy truce with a quartet of disparate misfits -Rocket, a gun-toting raccoon, Groot, a tree-like humanoid, the deadly and enigmatic Gamora and the revenge-driven Drax the Destroyer. But when Peter discovers the true power of the orb and the menace it poses to the cosmos, he must do his best to rally his ragtag rivals for a last, desperate stand–with the galaxy’s fate in the balance.

Briefly: We were all pretty excited back in February when out of the blue NBC announced that they were bringing Heroes back for a 12-episode miniseries called Heroes Reborn.

Since then, we haven’t heard too much (anything) about the project, aside from the fact that the series would feature both new and returning characters. Today we got word of our first returning character: Jack Coleman as Noah Bennet / HRG.

Details are still scarce on the miniseries, but we’ll be sure to keep you updated as we learn more. What other Heroes alumni would you like to see return for Reborn? Sound out below!

Briefly: All the way back in July of last year, Legendary Comics debuted the awesome cover art for Grant Morrison and Frazer Irving’s Annihilator.

Since then, we haven’t heard too much about the project… until today, when Legendary announced the book’s release date, and debuted its first interior art.

Issue one (of six) of Annihilator will span 40 pages and release on September 4th, 2014, while Legendary’s original A Town Called Dragon by Judd Winick (Batman, Green Lantern) and Geoff Shaw will begin its five-issue run on September 24th.

Here’s the synopsis for Annihilator:

Hellraising screenwriter Ray Spass has one last chance to restore himself to former glory as he struggles to write a new studio tent-pole movie, Annihilator. The film centers around the adventures of Max Nomax, a sci-fi anti-hero caught in an epic struggle against the authoritarian artificial life form Vada and it’s chief assassin, Jet Makro.

But when Max Nomax appears in real-life, Ray thinks it’s a side effect of the brain tumor he was recently diagnosed with. Despite all logic, Nomax is real, having escaped from an impossible prison with no memory. Ray’s tumor is the key—it contains all Nomax’s adventures, downloaded into Ray’s head before Nomax escaped.

Ray needs to finish his screenplay in order to get the information out of his head and shrink the tumor. Nomax needs Ray to finish his screenplay so he can remember who he is, what ultimate crime he has committed, how to defeat Vada and save the universe from annihilation – if the unstoppable Jet Makro doesn’t reach Nomax and Ray first.

Take a look at the first interior art from the book below, and let us know if you’ll be picking it up when it hits stores in September!

Briefly: This is some fantastic news.

Our pals over at Exhibit A Pictures (who we co-produced Doc of the Dead with, which is now on Netflix Instant AND Amazon streaming by the way) have just announced a long awaited, and much anticipated sequel to 2010’s The People vs. George Lucas.

The sequel is now officially in production and will release in December of 2015. It’s fittingly titled The People vs. George Lucas – Episode II, and just like last time, Exhibit A is looking for some sure-to-be-amazing fan submissions:

In keeping with the tradition of our enormously popular original film, this participatory documentary is now open for submissions to fans around the world. Rants, opinions, parodies, fan films, images, songs, and creative speculations about STAR WARS – EPISODE VII are encouraged, and can be submitted directly via our website:pvg2.com

Exhibit A has released both the synopsis for the documentary and an awesome teaser poster, so be sure to check both out below. We’ll be sure to keep you updated with any news on the project, but for now, let us know your thoughts on Episode I (of the documentary, not Star Wars)!

PeopleVs

There is a great disturbance in the world of STAR WARS fandom.

While many seem delighted that George Lucas finally handed over the reins, and excited about the future of the franchise; others are worried about the Disneyfication of the galaxy far, far away that has defined their childhood.

Briefly: E3 is over for another year, and as always, we had an absolute blast.

This year’s expo brought announcements of long-awaited sequels, games we’ve already played, and completely new ideas, as well as things that are going to destroy our wallets. On top of all the content already posted (and all the E3 content coming in the next few days), we had a chance to catch up with a few of our pals and get their thoughts on the various goings-on at this year’s E3.

First up, here’s Andre Black Nerd revealing his five most wanted Amiibos:

Next, Jovenshire and Jonathan played some Smash Bros., and let us know what they thought of it:

Then, Jon and Rob from Coin-Op TV talks Disney InfinitySkylands, and soon Amiibo addiction:

Finally, Jon chats with Chad from ScrewAttack about the most overpowered characters in each Smash Bros. title:

What was your favourite moment from this year’s convention? Do you think that Nintendo ‘won’ (it seems like everyone else does)? Sound out below!

Briefly: I was a little disappointed when a new Mario Party title wasn’t announced during Nintendo’s E3 Digital Event. I’m a huge fan of the earlier titles, and with the Wii U already being a fantastic console for local multiplayer, I couldn’t image a more fun night with gaming and non-gaming pals.

Then, they revealed it ~10 minutes after the event ended. I don’t know why Nintendo didn’t just make the event longer, but I’m just happy that it’s coming.

The game will launch on Wii U in 2015, and looks to have an awesome sounding new 5 player mode, in which one player acts as Bowser (the gamepad player), while the other four team up to try and defeat him. Bowser, as always, will screw with everyone on the board, and will also battle the group in the new mini games.

I’m sold. Check out the trailer below, and let us know if you’ll be picking it up too!

Oh, it also has Amiibo support. Yep.

Briefly: The photos don’t show off any of the film’s real stars (the dinosaurs, duh) but Universal Pictures has debuted three new stills from next Summer’s Jurassic World.

The images show off a buff Chris Pratt on a sexy motorcycle, Simpkins and Robinson looking amazing (probably because of a dinosaur, and Bryce Dallas Howard looking super business-y.

Take a look at the photos below, and let us know what you think! Did you catch those (spoilery) plot details from a couple weeks back? Jurassic World hits theatres on June 12th, 2015.

Briefly: Following the casting of Charlie Cox as Daredevil a few weeks back, Marvel and Netflix have officially revealed the actor who will portray the Kingpin.

It’s Full Metal Jacket‘s Vincent D’Onofrio.

Daredevil‘s new showrunner, Steven S. DeKnight (Drew Goddard left the role last month) made the announcement via twitter:

Are you happy with the choice? Is there anyone else you’d rather see in the role? Be sure to let us know! Daredevil will premiere on Netflix in 2015!

Briefly: I haven’t purchased a toy in years, but I’d be lying if I said that I wasn’t going to buy every single one of these.

During yesterday’s Nintendo Digital Event, the company officially unveiled its NFC platform, called Amiibo. The official reveal was pretty amazing, and featured Nintendo’s Reggie Fils-Aime and Satoru Iwata duking it out:

We don’t yet know too much about just what Nintendo wants to do with Amiibo (outside of Super Smash Bros. that is, which has some great optional functionality), but Nintendo’s Bill Trinen explained everything in the following trailer:

Did you see that smug look on his face? That’s because he knows that the company is going to make a killing off of these. We can’t wait for them to hit stores shelves.

Are you planning to pick up any Amiibo? What functionality do you hope they add to non Smash Bros. titles?

Briefly: During this morning’s Nintendo Digital Event, the company absolutely blew us all away with the reveal of The Legend of Zelda for Wii U.

Eiji Aonuma took to the screen to talk about this reinvention of the franchise. Here’s what he had to say:

But, if you’re more interested in the first gorgeous-looking in engine footage, here you go:

The Legend of Zelda will hit Wii U in 2015. All I can say is wow.

Briefly: Sony revealed a sexy new trailer for The Order: 1886 at last night’s press conference, and with it we finally see just what’s got The Order so riled up.

Lycans.

Here’s what Ready At Dawn CEO Ru Weerasuriya had to say about the reveal:

Exactly a year ago, we launched our new IP with a trailer that introduced The Order and its Knights. As we revealed more about the game in the months that followed, we left one questioned unanswered. Who is the enemy hidden in the fog?

The Half-Breeds are many, its different species having evolved in their own rights, becoming a formidable and deadly threat to humanity’s dominance. One species in particular has taken dominion over the lands of Northern Europe and has threatened the rule of man for centuries. Lycan was the name given by humans to the species of Half-Breeds that acquired certain lupine and feline traits. Upon seeing them, people equated their looks to the myth and legends of werewolves that had been retold from generation to generation.

What the Lycans lack in numbers, they make up in sheer strength and agility, and have proven to be some of the deadliest foes The Order has ever faced. In human form, they remain impossible to identify and as such, they hide in plain sight amongst the populace. With both Lycans and the Rebellion threatening the city of London, The Order must face enemies on all fronts.

The game looks gorgeous, and I really can’t wait to see more. Take a look at the order below, and let us know what you think!

Briefly: This may just be the biggest surprise of E3.

During Sony’s press conference last night, the company revealed that a remastered, redone version of Tim Schafer’s classic Grim Fandango is coming to PS4 and PS Vita.

No details were revealed, and no footage was shown, but it’s totally coming. Here’s the announcement:

Are you as excited as we are?

Briefly: Many gamer’s most anticipated E3 moment was the reveal of the new trailer for Hideo Kojima’s Metal Gear Solid V.

After seeing said trailer, it’s safe to say that this game is worthy of our anticipation.

The video opens with a vulture picking on a freshly-deceased body, and it quickly delves into something much more sinister. There’s lots of blood, a funeral, and more. I don’t want to ruin things too much, so just take a look below, and let us know what you think!

Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain hits PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One someday. I’ve been a huge fan of the series since I was eight years old, so it’s safe to say that I can’t wait for this one.

Briefly: I don’t think that anyone saw this coming.

During last night’s Sony E3 conference, Deep Silver officially revealed Dead Island 2. The reveal trailer wasn’t as incredible as the first Dead Island‘s announcement video, but hopefully the sequel can match what many of us were hoping that the first game could deliver.

It definitely looks less serious than Dead Island and Dead Island: Riptide, which may be exactly what this series needs.

The press release states that “Several months after the events on Banoi, the United States military has put the Golden State under full quarantine. Now a restricted zone, California has become a bloody paradise for those who refuse to leave their homes and an action-packed playground for renegades who seek adventure, glory and a fresh start. Combining the classic Dead Island elements of immersive close combat, action and role-playing, Dead Island 2 features crazy, never-before-seen handcrafted weapons and over-the-top characters in taking players from the iconic Golden Gate to the celebrated beachfront boardwalk of southern California’’s Venice Beach.”

Take a look at the trailer for Dead Island 2 below, and let us know what you think! The game hits Xbox One, PS4, and PC in 2015.

Briefly: During last night’s Sony E3 press conference, the company finally revealed when PS4 players will be able to get their hands on The Last of Us.

The game will be available digitally and in-store on July 29th. Sony also revealed a gorgeous new trailer that shows us what the new version will actually look like.

Naughty Dog says that “The trailer is full 1080p and rendered in 60fps, which is what we’re targeting for the game. We’re working on various improvements such as higher resolution character models, improved lighting and shadows, upgraded textures, functionality unique to the PS4 controller and more. You’ll get the complete The Last of Us experience as the PS4 version includes the highest rated DLC exclusive to PlayStation, Left Behind, all difficulty modes (including Grounded Mode the newest, hardest difficulty level) for single player and both our multiplayer map packs, Abandoned Territories and Reclaimed Territories.”

Take a look at the new trailer below, and let us know if you plan on picking this one up.

Briefly: It’s taken some time, but the Vita Playstation TV is finally coming to North America and Europe.

The set-top box will launch this Fall for $99 (or $139 with a DualShock 3, 8Gb Memory Card, HDMI Cable, and The Lego Movie Video Game).

Just like with a regular Vita, the unit will be able to Remote Play your PS4, making the box perfect for those who have multiple televisions in their house. It’ll also have access to Playstation Now, meaning for just $99, non-Playstation owners will enable themselves access to a ton of new games. Of course, you can play all of your Vita games too (physical or digital).

Take a look at the announcement from Sony below, and let us know if you’ll be picking one of these up this Fall!

Briefly: Nintendo, Sony, and Microsoft have all impressed us at this year’s E3, and Bungie did the very same with a near four-minute trailer for Destiny.

The trailer features an ominous monologue about the expansion (and then destruction) of humanity, and that it’s up to you and a few others to save it. if you can’t, the entire human race, everything it ever was, and everything it ever will be, is gone forever. No pressure.

Sure, it looks a lot like Halo, but it’s also by the guys that created it, so we’re definitely in for a treat here. The game launches on September 9th, and a special white PS4 bundle will launch on the same day and include the game.

WhitePS4

Pre-orderers, of course, get access to the game’s beta, which starts on July 17th. Take a look at the new trailer below, and let us know if you’re excited!

Briefly: It’s finally happening.

Grand Theft Auto V is headed to PS4, Xbox One, and PC. The new version of the game was revealed at Sony’s E3 press conference earlier tonight, and it looks great.

Rockstar says that “Grand Theft Auto V will take full advantage of the power of the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC with across-the-board graphical and technical improvements to deliver a stunning new level of detail. Increased draw distances, finer texture details, denser traffic, and enhanced resolutions all work together to bring new life to the cities, towns, deserts and oceans of Rockstar North’s epic reimagining of Southern California.”

It’ll include all the content that’s been released for the game so far, as Rockstar notes that “gameplay created since the launch of Grand Theft Auto Online, including an extensive array of new Jobs, an arsenal of new weapons, scores of new vehicles, new properties and player customizations will also be available for the PlayStation 4 system, Xbox One and PC with much more to come. In addition, the current community of players will have the ability to transfer their Grand Theft Auto Online characters and progression to their choice of PlayStation 4, Xbox One or PC.”

This is great. I can’t wait to buy this game again (yep, I’m one of those suckers). Take a look at the new in-engine trailer, and let us know if you’re excited.
