Just yesterday it was revealed that the character of Mary Jane Watson had been cut from next year’s The Amazing Spider-Man 2, and would instead first surface in The Amazing Spider-Man 3 in 2016. Director Marc Webb seemed positive about Shailene Woodley’s portrayal of the character, but the rumour mill began churning last night that the role would be recast.

This is where things get interesting. According to ET Canada, Canadian actress Sarah Gadon has just joined the franchise in an unspecified role.

Has Woodley been recast in just one day? Could Sarah Gadon be the new Mary Jane Watson?

We’ll let you know when we get the official word on this one, it seems a little far fetched to me, but stranger things have happened this week. In the meantime, let is know if you would be for or against the change-up!

Update: Gadon has revealed via twitter that she is in the film, but will not portray Mary Jane Watson. Felicia Hardy, maybe? She certainly looks the part.

There looks to be a lot of iconic moments in this film, and I can’t wait to check it out.

Open Road Films has just released the first trailer for their August 16th release, Jobs. The film tells the incredible story of the inception, rise, and fall of Apple Computers before its eventual climb to be one of the world’s most profitable companies.

The film received mixed reception after its Sundance premiere, but this preview certainly makes is look like a lot of fun. Watch the preview below, and let us know if you’ll be checking it out!

We follow Steve Jobs (ASHTON KUTCHER) from the enthusiasm and self-discovery of his youth through his darkest days, brightest triumphs, and the ultimate power of his drive, his passions, and his undying will to change everything we thought possible. Dark, honest, and uncompromising, “Jobs” plunges into the depths of Steve Jobs’ character, uncovering his driving motivations, his gifts, his flaws, his failures, and his ultimate successes.

Just a few days after a new batch of images was releasedRiddick star Vin Diesel has revealed an IMAX poster for the film.

The new one-sheet reveals nothing about the feature, but does feature Riddick in the place where he’s most comfortable: the dark.

Take a look at the poster below, and let us know what you think! Riddick hits theatres (and IMAX) on September 6th.

RiddickImax

The infamous Riddick has been left for dead on a sun-scorched planet that appears to be lifeless. Soon, however, he finds himself fighting for survival against alien predators more lethal than any human he’s encountered. The only way off is for Riddick to activate an emergency beacon and alert mercenaries who rapidly descend to the planet in search of their bounty.

The first ship to arrive carries a new breed of merc, more lethal and violent, while the second is captained by a man whose pursuit of Riddick is more personal. With time running out and a storm on the horizon that no one could survive, his hunters won’t leave the planet without Riddick’s head as their trophy.

Last week, it was revealed that the next DLC character for NetherRealm Studios Injustice: Gods Among Us would be none other than General Zod. This of course tied in nicely with the release of this Summer’s biggest film, Man of Steel.

Today, the first trailer for the character has been released. I’ve been addicted to Injustice for quite some time now, and Zod certainly looks like a formidable opponent. Man of Steel fans will also enjoy a film-inspired skin for Superman, with both pieces of DLC releasing on July 2nd.

Watch the trailer and check out the new skin below, and be sure to let us know what you think!

Injustice: Gods Among Us introduces a new franchise in the fighting game genre and a brand new story created in collaboration between NetherRealm Studios, DC Entertainment and comic book writers Justin Gray and Jimmy Palmiotti. As the story unfolds, players will experience the power, gadgetry and unparalleled strength of some the most popular DC Comics heroes and villains, such as Batman, Superman, The Flash, Wonder Woman, Green Arrow, Aquaman, The Joker and others, as they engage in epic battles in a world where the line between good and evil is blurred.

This sounds crazy.

Just a week after Arnold Schwarzenegger confirmed his involvement with the next instalment of the Terminator franchise, another potential cast member, as well as some extremely intriguing plot details have been revealed.

Keep in mind that everything here is a rumour, but if true, this could be the craziest Terminator yet.

WWE Examiner has reported that the Terminator 5 script is being developed with Dwayne Johnson in mind, and that the actor is currently being courted for a starring role in the film. Johnson’s a cool guy, and he would fit well in almost any action flick, but that’s not even the most interesting takeaway here. The article goes on to state some apparent plot details:

Incredibly, Schwarzenegger may not play the role of a machine in the next film, but a potentially heroic human figure in or close to the Connor family. One theory is that Schwarzenegger’s remarkable ability to protect the Connor family in the 1940s or 1950s with antiquated weaponry by today’s standards ultimately inspired the machines to develop a terminator in his likeness that was eventually sent to 1984 when Sarah Connor was first targeted for termination.

That would make an amazing plot twist, don’t you think? We’ll be sure to keep you up to date on this one, as this is one rumour that I’d love to see come to fruition.

Who could say no to free Showtime content?

The network’s upcoming drama, Ray Donovan, won’t premiere until June 30th, but you can now watch the pilot episode, titled ‘The Bag or the Bat’ for free online.

Set in the sprawling mecca of the rich and famous, Ray Donovan does the dirty work for LA’s top power players. The new one-hour series stars Emmy and Golden Globe Award nominee Liev Schreiber (X-Men Origins: Wolverine) in his first lead television role as the go-to guy who makes the problems of the city’s celebrities, superstar athletes, and business moguls disappear. This powerful drama unfolds when his father, played by Oscar winner Jon Voight, is unexpectedly released from prison, setting off a chain of events that shakes the Donovan family to its core.

The show looks like an absolute blast, and I can’t wait to check it out. Unfortunately, being in Canada means that I’m out of the running for this pilot, but watch it below, and let me know how it is!

Briefly: It’s been a bad week for Robert Rodriguez fans. First, Sin City: A Dame to Kill For was delayed nearly a year, and now the upcoming Machete Kills has also been postponed. Luckily, this push isn’t nearly as long: instead of opening on September 13th, the film will premiere on October 4th.

Sorry Machete fans. At least it’s only a few weeks, right?

Watch the trailer for Machete Kills below, and let us know if you’re looking forward to the movie!

In MACHETE KILLS, Danny Trejo returns as ex-Federale agent MACHETE, who is recruited by the President of the United States for a mission which would be impossible for any mortal man – he must take down a madman revolutionary and an eccentric billionaire arms dealer who has hatched a plan to spread war and anarchy.

Just because Iron Man 3 didn’t turn out as well as we’d all hoped, doesn’t mean that we wanted to see Robert Downey Jr. retire from the role. It’s been rumoured for some time that, since his contract was complete, the prominent actor would be leaving the Marvel cinematic universe.

You can put those worries to rest. Marvel just announced that Robert Downey Jr. is Iron Man… at least for The Avengers 2 and The Avengers 3.

That’s his whole contract. Two new Avengers films, so it looks like we won’t be seeing another solo Iron Man flick any time soon. Take a look at the press release below, and let us know how you feel about the news!

“I am Iron Man.”

Tony Stark’s famous closing line to the very first Iron Man film takes on new life today as Marvel is pleased to announce the signing of Robert Downey, Jr. to reprise the role of the “billionaire, genius, playboy, philanthropist.”

Under the two-picture agreement, Downey will star as Tony Stark/Iron Man in “Marvel’s The Avengers 2” and “Marvel’s The Avengers 3.” Downey is represented at CAA by Bryan Lourd, Jim Toth and Matt Leaf and by his attorneys Tom Hansen and Stewart Brookman of the firm Hansen Jacobson.

Downey, Jr.’s last two Marvel films, 2012’s “Marvel’s The Avengers” and this year’s “Iron Man 3,” rank as two of the top five grossing films of all time, collectively earning over $2.7 billion worldwide to date.

“Marvel’s The Avengers 2” is being written and directed by Joss Whedon. Featuring favorites from the first Avengers film and new Marvel characters never before seen on the big screen, “Marvel’s The Avengers 2” is slated to begin production in March 2014 and open in theaters May 1, 2015.

Thrilled by this mega announcement, Marvelites? Well, be sure you stay glued to Marvel.com because in the coming days and weeks and months, Marvel.com will be FIRST in the world to reveal additional casting updates, new characters coming to Marvel movies and so much more — directly from the most secret meetings at Marvel! You wouldn’t want to miss out on that now, would you?!

Pacific Rim is just weeks away at this point, and like the rest of the world, we couldn’t be more excited.

Marketing for the film has been superb so far, and today’s new TV spot is no different. The preview showcases the Kaiju destruction in many of Earth’s biggest cities. The world is looks like a pretty horrific place, so it’s no wonder we developed the Jaegers to fight back… I just wonder how things will turn out.

Take a look at the new spot below, and let us know what you think! Pacific Rim hits theatres on July 12th!

http://youtu.be/xQE65bW1d-c

When legions of monstrous creatures, known as Kaiju, started rising from the sea, a war began that would take millions of lives and consume humanity’s resources for years on end. To combat the giant Kaiju, a special type of weapon was devised: massive robots, called Jaegers, which are controlled simultaneously by two pilots whose minds are locked in a neural bridge. But even the Jaegers are proving nearly defenseless in the face of the relentless Kaiju. On the verge of defeat, the forces defending mankind have no choice but to turn to two unlikely heroes – a washed up former pilot (Charlie Hunnam) and an untested trainee (Rinko Kikuchi) – who are teamed to drive a legendary but seemingly obsolete Jaeger from the past. Together, they stand as mankind’s last hope against the mounting apocalypse.

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 already sounds like it has too much going on… so cutting what would be a prominent character can only be seen as a good idea.

Shailene Woodley has revealed that her portrayal of Mary Jane Watson will not appear in The Amazing Spider-Man 2. Instead, the character has been pushed to the third film, which was announced earlier this week. Understandably, she can’t be thrilled with the fact that her character has been cut, but definitely seems to get why it was necessary. “Of course I’m bummed,” Shailene stated. “But I’m a firm believer in everything happening for a specific reason….based on the proposed plot, I completely understand holding off on introducing (Mary Jane) until the next film.”

The move should give Peter and Gwen more time to establish their relationship before the inevitable happens, meaning that we’ll hopefully be more attached to her than we are now. Emma Stone’s performance was severely under-utilized in The Amazing Spider-Man, so if she were to die at this point, I don’t know why anyone would care.

Let us know what you think of the news below, and while you’re at it, what’s your opinion of Shailene as Mary Jane?

This is likely the biggest post-announcement reversal in gaming history.

While not quite official at this time, at some point today Microsoft is expected to announce a reversal the Xbox One DRM policies first announced this May.

Giantbomb broke the news, which apparently comes from an anonymous, yet reliable source. According to the article, the following policies are expected to change:

-No more always online requirement
-The console no longer has to check in every 24 hours
-All game discs will work on Xbox One as they do on Xbox 360
-An Internet connection is only required when initially setting up the console
-All downloaded games will function the same when online or offline
-No additional restrictions on trading games or loaning discs
-Region locks have been dropped

It’s certainly interesting that the company is changing things so shortly after solidifying the facts at E3. Microsoft has been the butt of every gaming joke since the announcement, so the reversal can only be good for them, but is the damage already done? How many Xbox loyals have been lost forever because Microsoft tried to do this? Will this be a case of forgive and forget, or will people still steer clear of the console out of principle?

We’ll update you as soon as we know more, or get the official word. In the meantime, let us know what you think of the rumour below!

UPDATE: Microsoft has confirmed the policy reversal on the official Xbox Blog. The site is being slammed, and may currently be inaccessible, so here are the main points:

-An internet connection will not be required to play offline Xbox One games – After a one-time system set-up with a new Xbox One, you can play any disc based game without ever connecting online again. There is no 24 hour connection requirement and you can take your Xbox One anywhere you want and play your games, just like on Xbox 360.

-Trade-in, lend, resell, gift, and rent disc based games just like you do today – There will be no limitations to using and sharing games, it will work just as it does today on Xbox 360.

Let us know what you think of the news, and if it changes your mind about the Xbox One.

The release of The World’s End, Edgar Wright’s conclusion to the revered Cornetto trilogy is quickly approaching, and Universal pictures has just unveiled a new trailer for the film.

The new preview reveals a little too much of the movie in my opinion, and definitely takes away from the well-shrouded mystery of the picture, so remember that before you decide to watch. It’s also an absolutely hilarious trailer, and is an infinitely exciting taste of what we’ll be seeing later this Summer.

Watch the new preview below (if you dare), and let us know if you’re excited for the movie! The World’s End stars Martin Freeman, Simon Pegg, Nick Frost, Rosamund Pike, David Bradley, and plenty of other awesome blokes, and will hit North American theatres on August 23rd!

20 years after attempting an epic pub crawl, five childhood friends reunite when one of them becomes hellbent on trying the drinking marathon again.  They are convinced to stage an encore by mate Gary King, a 40-year old man trapped at the cigarette end of his teens, who drags his reluctant pals to their hometown and once again attempts to reach the fabled pub – The World’s End.  As they attempt to reconcile the past and present, they realize the real struggle is for the future, not just theirs but humankind’s.  Reaching The World’s End is the least of their worries.

Briefly: Good Old Games is jumping on the DRM bandwagon that Microsoft began with the Xbox One reveal. This company’s strategy, however, is to advertise their lack of it.

The company has just launched a new sale, titled the 2013 #NoDRM Summer Sale, and there are certainly some phenomenal deals to be had. I’ve been using GoG for a number of years now, and the quality of their titles, as well as their service and support, is absolutely wonderful.

One very special deal that the sale is offering is Runic Games Torchlight for the amazing price of $0.00. The game pays homage to the Diablo series, and is an addicting, dungeon crawling masterpiece. Torchlight was well worth its launch price, and you’ll never, ever see a deal on it that’s better than this.

Check out GoG’s main sale page here, or head here to jump directly to Torchlight. Let us know what you’re planning to pick up! I’ve recently rediscovered Theme Hospital, and I simply cannot stop playing it!

Much to the dismay of fans, last month it was announced that Jurassic Park IV had been put on an indefinite hold. It appears as though that hold may not be as long as expected, as ComingSoon has just seen a new banner for the film (or at least for something Jurassic Park related), that states its release in 2015.

The news comes from the Las Vegas Licensing Expo, which has also stated that the movie will be shot (and not post-converted in 3D. Universal has not confirmed anything yet, but an expo like this should be a pretty reliable source.

Take a look at the new banner below, and let us know what you think of the news!

Briefly: This is fantastic news. Logan’s Run has been in development hell for years, and I think this could just be the talent it needs to make the remake finally see the light of day.

Ken Levine, founding member of Irrational Games and Creative Director of the Bioshock series (including this year’s unbelievable Bioshock Infinite) is writing Logan’s Run. A remake first began development in the 1990’s, and a lot of names have been attached to it since that time: Bryan Singer, Joel Silver, James McTeige, and even Drive‘s Nicolas Winding Refn have all been involved with the project in some way.

I have an infinite (get it) amount of respect for Ken Levine’s work, and I cannot wait to see what he can do with Logan’s Run. How do you feel about the news? How did you like Bioshock Infinite?

Does Riddick look cool or what?

David Twohy’s highly anticipated follow-up to 2009’s The Chronicles of Riddick is finally just a few months away from release, and Collider today revealed 15 awesome new images from the film.

The images are a mixture of stills and production photos, and definitely give us a better look at that sun-scorched planet that Riddick will wake up on. Take a look at the stills below, and let us know what you think! Riddick hits theatres on September 6th!

Disney has just released the first teaser for Frozen, their new animated film set to hit theatres this November.

The preview reveals little about the feature, and simply introduces us to two of the secondary characters in the film, Olaf the snowman, and Sven the reindeer. It’s a pretty hilarious introduction, and should garner a lot of excitement from any child (well, and adult) who gets a chance to see it.

Take a look at the teaser below, and let us know what you think! Again, Frozen stars Kristen Bell, Josh Gad, Idina Menzel, and more, and hits theatres on November 27th!

In “Frozen,” fearless optimist Anna (voice of Kristen Bell ) teams up with rugged mountain man Kristoff (voice of Jonathan Groff ) and his loyal reindeer Sven in an epic journey, encountering Everest-like conditions, mystical trolls and a hilarious snowman named Olaf in a race to find Anna’s sister Elsa (voice of Idina Menzel), whose icy powers have trapped the kingdom of Arendelle in eternal winter. Encountering Everest-like conditions, mystical trolls and a hilarious snowman named Olaf, Anna and Kristoff battle the elements in a race to save the kingdom.

I’m starting to think that we’ll never see this movie.

I was 15 years old when Sin City first hit theatres. I loved it, and was unbelievably excited when Robert Rodriguez quickly announced that the film would get a sequel.

I’m 23 now, and I’m still as excited as I was eight years ago when Sin City 2 (now known as Sin City: A Dame To Kill For) was delayed… again and again and again. It looks like old habits die hard, as today, just a few months before the sequel would hit theatres, it was delayed again.

Sin City: A Dame to Kill For will now release on August 22, 2014. That’s a 325 day delay for those who like numbers. The film stars Joseph Gordon-LevittRay Liotta, Juno Temple, Jeremy Piven, Josh Brolin, Jessica Alba, Michael Madsen, Bruce Willis and plenty of others, and was scheduled to release this October.

It’s pretty lame news, so be sure to let us know how you feel below!

The release of Universal’s anticipated Riddick is fast approaching, and the studio has just released a new trailer for the film. Universal is certainly not taking the Man of Steel approach with this one, which had much of the movie (and its surprises) revealed long before the film ever released.

Riddick looks very cool, but the coolest thing about it may be just how much we don’t know about the project. Today’s trailer features a bunch of new footage, but still manages to keep much of the film under wraps.

Take a look at the new trailer below, and let us know what you think! Riddick will be shown off at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con, so look for plenty of news about the film when we’re at the convention next month!

Prepare for the latest chapter of the groundbreaking saga that began with 2000′s hit sci-fi film Pitch Black and 2004′s The Chronicles of Riddick.

Sony is sure confident, aren’t they?

The studio today announced their plans for the future of the Spider-Man film franchise, and that future is looking good. The Amazing Spider-Man 2, of course, is hitting theatres next Summer, and two further films have just been unveiled. Here’s what the next few years of Spider-Man look like:

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 hits theatres on May 2nd, 2014
The Amazing Spider-Man 3 hits theatres June 10th, 2016
The Amazing Spider-Man 4 hits theatres on May 4th, 2018

Hopefully Sony is planning the connections between the three coming films now, because planning everything this far ahead could turn out fantastic. Of course, the jury is still out on whether the first film was any good, but in any case, there’s always room for improvement.

Read the full press release below, and let us know what you think!

CULVER CITY, Calif., June 17, 2013 – With Sony Pictures Entertainment now in production in New York on The Amazing Spider-Man™ 2, slated for release on May 2, 2014, the studio is planting its flag on two future release dates for one of the most successful franchises in studio history, it was announced today by Jeff Blake, Chairman, Worldwide Marketing and Distribution for Sony Pictures. The next two films in the story of Peter Parker will be released on June 10, 2016, and on May 4, 2018, respectively.

Commenting on the announcement, Blake said, “Spider-Man is our most important, most successful, and most beloved franchise, so we’re thrilled that we are in a position to lock in these prime release dates over the next five years.”

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is directed by Marc Webb from a screenplay by Alex Kurtzman & Roberto Orci & Jeff Pinkner, with a previous draft by James Vanderbilt, and based on the Marvel Comic Book by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko. Avi Arad and Matt Tolmach are the producers. The executive producers are E. Bennett Walsh, Stan Lee, Alex Kurtzman, and Roberto Orci.

The Amazing Spider-Man took in over $750 million at the worldwide box office last year.

This movie looks so ridiculous that I had to show you the trailer.

The movie’s called Killing Season, and it stars John Travolta as an angry Russian (with a not-great accent) and Robert De Niro as a military veteran, who both end up trying to kill each other. First, take a look at the poster, and see if anything stands out.

img2011110121465548-1

That’s right, Killing Season is coming from “the director of Daredevil AND Ghost Rider“, so you know that you’re in for a treat with this one.

Check out the film’s first trailer below, and admit it, you kind-of want to see it.

Deep in the Appalachian mountains, a reclusive American military veteran (Robert De Niro) and a European tourist (John Travolta) strike up an unlikely friendship. But when the tourist’s true intentions come to light, what follows is a tense battle across some of America’s most forbidding landscape proving the old adage: the purest form of war is one-on-one.

Briefly: The ever-growing cast of James Gunn’s Guardians of the Galaxy just added one more.

First rumoured months ago, John C. Reilly has officially signed on for the film. He’ll be playing Rhomann Dey, leader of the Nova Corps. Reilly joins Benicio Del Toro, Karen Gillan, Glenn Close, Zoe Saldana, Lee Pace, and plenty of others! The film is set to hit theatres on August 1st, 2014.

What do you think of the casting choice? This ensemble really seems to be shaping up nicely, and I can’t wait to see some footage from this film.

This is a great movie tie-in.

Last night’s Conan had the hilarious host reviewing the new DC brawler, Injustice: Gods Among Us. The game released back in April, and has been garnering plenty of acclaim ever since. Fighting games, by nature, beg for DLC, and Injustice has had its fair share of it. Characters (Batgirl and Mortal Kombat‘s Scorpion so far), costume packs, and more have already been released, and last night’s Conan revealed the next character you’ll be adding to your roster: Zod.

No word yet on when Zod will be available, but seeing as Man of Steel is releasing today, I’d expect it to happen soon. The character looks like a formidable opponent, and sports a very cool finishing move, so it should please fans of both the character and game alike. Watch Conan’s review/reveal below, and let us know what you think!

Every time that I see a new preview for Red 2, I get more and more excited for it. I still haven’t seen the first film, but with the sequel releasing on July 19th, I’ve still got a month to prepare.

Summit Entertainment has just released two new TV spots for the film, which help solidify the fact that it should be a lot of fun. Much of the cast from the first film returns, including Bruce Willis, Hellen Mirren, John Malkovich, Catherine Zeta-Jones, and plenty of others! Take a look at the new spots below, and let us know what you think!

In RED 2, the high-octane action-comedy sequel to the worldwide sleeper hit, retired black-ops CIA agent Frank Moses reunites his unlikely team of elite operatives for a global quest to track down a missing portable nuclear device. To succeed, they’ll need to survive an army of relentless assassins, ruthless terrorists and power-crazed government officials, all eager to get their hands on the next-generation weapon. The mission takes Frank and his motley crew to Paris, London and Moscow. Outgunned and outmanned, they have only their cunning wits, their old-school skills, and each other to rely on as they try to save the world-and stay alive in the process.

Neill Blomkamp’s District 9 follow-up, Elysium, is now just weeks away from theatres, and TriStar has just unveiled a fantastic new trailer for it.

It’s amazing what Blomkamp managed to do with the relatively-low budget (30-million) of District 9, so tripling that with Elysium should lead to an extremely atmospheric and breathtaking world. The cast is also absolutely all-star, and includes Matt Damon, Jodie Foster, William Fichtner, Sharlto Copley, and plenty of others.

Watch the new trailer below, and let us know what you think! Elysium hits theatres on August 9th!

In the year 2159 two classes of people exist: the very wealthy who live on a pristine man-made space station called Elysium, and the rest, who live on an overpopulated, ruined Earth. Secretary Rhodes (Jodie Foster), a hard line government official, will stop at nothing to enforce anti-immigration laws and preserve the luxurious lifestyle of the citizens of Elysium. That doesn’t stop the people of Earth from trying to get in, by any means they can. When unlucky Max (Matt Damon) is backed into a corner, he agrees to take on a daunting mission that if successful will not only save his life, but could bring equality to these polarized worlds.

Back in April we showed you the first trailer for Keanu Reeves’ directorial debut, Man of Tai Chi. A new (and much higher resolution) trailer has just been released, and showcases a lot more of what the film is all about, and a lot more of the fantastic martial-arts action that the movie contains.

There’s no domestic release date for the film yet, but I cannot wait to check it out. It appears as though Keanu Reeves has crafted a fantastic martial-arts epic, and I hope that the full feature can live up to this awesome preview.

Take a look at the new trailer below, and let us know what you think!

This is a game that I’ve been dying to play for some time, but have never had the chance. This release can only be good for me!

Double Fine Productions and Ron Gilbert’s (yep, the creator of Monkey IslandThe Cave first launched in January of this year. It’s an adventure/puzzle title with all of the quirks that you’d expect from this pairing, and right from the game’s first trailer, I was sold. It looks beautiful, it sounds great, and it’s said to be hilarious.

TouchGen got some hands-on time with The Cave at this year’s E3… for a whole new platform. The title is being adapted for iOS devices, and will release on the iOS App Store sometime this Summer. According to their playtime, the port looks just as good as any other version of the game, and has some cool controls very suited to a touchscreen.

Need a refresher? Watch the character trailer for The Cave below, and let us know if you’ll be playing on your iPad!

I’m beyond excited for this one.

Sure, Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD is a high definition remake of games that are over a decade old, but I was just 11 years old when Final Fantasy X released, and for some reason never completed the title. Now I’m older, more patient, and I’ve forgotten what the game’s about, so it’s the perfect time to be reintroduced to it.

Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD will launch on PS3 and PS Vita later this year. PS3 users will get both games on one Blu-Ray, while Vita players will need to purchase each game separately. Square-Enix just revealed a new trailer for the compilation at this year’s E3 conference, so take a look below, and let us know if you’re excited!

Now that I’m older, I bet I can kick some butt at Blitzball.

If everything went according to plan, we’d be just a few weeks away from the theatrical release of 300: Rise of an Empire. That’s not the way that things always work out, however, and instead we’ll be waiting until March of next year.

Warner Bros. has just released the anticipated first trailer for Rise of an Empire, following a cool new teaser poster released yesterday. The trailer showcases the same stylish look and feel of the first film, but of course, the stunning cast from 300 is nowhere to be found (well, besides David Welham as Dilios).

I’m reserving judgement on this one for now, as it seems like it’s been stuck in development hell for years, but based on my love for the first film alone (plus, the trailer does look pretty cool), I can’t wait to line up for this one. Take a look at the new poster and trailer below, and let us know what you think! 300: Rise of an Empire released March 7th, 2014.

Here’s the poster:

“300: Rise of an Empire” pits Themistokles against the massive invading Persian forces led by mortal-turned-god Xerxes, and Artemisia, vengeful commander of the Persian navy.

Fox has just unveiled the first TV spot for The Wolverine. I have to say that I wasn’t overly impressed with the film’s first trailer, but each subsequent preview has proved that this could be one of this Summer’s coolest movies.

We’ve got a little over a month until The Wolverine hits theatres, so I’m sure we’ll see plenty of additional footage before that time comes. Take a look at the spot below, and let us know what you think!

Based on the celebrated comic book arc, this epic action-adventure takes Wolverine (Jackman), the most iconic character of the X-Men universe, to modern day Japan. Out of his depth in an unknown world he will face a host of unexpected and deadly opponents in a life-or-death battle that will leave him forever changed. Vulnerable for the first time and pushed to his physical and emotional limits, he confronts not only lethal samurai steel but also his inner struggle against his own immortality. Directed By James Mangold, The Wolverine hits theaters in 2D & 3D on July 26, 2013.
