Briefly: Yeah, this is barely news, but as a huge fan of iZombie, someone that loved Veronica Mars, and an all-around Rob Thomas fanboy, this is very exciting.

EW has just revealed that Veronica Mars herself, Kristen Bell, will sort of be making an appearance on an iZombie episode next month.

The episode will air on January 26th, and is (hilariously) titled ’50 Shades of Grey Matter’. During the episode ‘things get interesting for Liv (Rose McIver) after she consumes the brain of a young librarian who was poisoned, and who also happened to secretly be an erotic fiction writer’

Where does Kristen Bell fit in? Well, she’s certainly no stranger to narration, based on her long roles on Veronica Mars and Gossip Girl, so she’ll fit right into iZombie with a voiceover role on the episode. In any case, it sounds like a hilarious 42 minutes, and a fantastic way to get Veronica Mars fans interested in the show.

And here I was still reeling over the series getting an extra six episodes this season…

Are you as excited as I am? Sound out below!

Briefly: We’re now just a couple of weeks away from being able to see the Kickstarter funded Veronica Mars movie (either on VOD/ in theatres on March 14th, or premiering at SXSW along with the Geekscape co-produced Doc of the Dead).

It’s an event that many fans never thought they’d see, and it’s absolutely incredible how fast it came to be funded. The Veronica Mars movie became both the fastest campaign to reach both 1-million and 2-million dollars. Now, you can watch the first two minutes.

still haven’t seen the show, so I (unfortunately) don’t really have any idea what’s going on; I really wish the series was on Canadian Netflix so I could have binge-watched before the movie’s release. In any case, take a look at the movie’s opening below, and let us know where you’ll be watching the full feature!

Briefly: Earlier this year, the Veronica Mars movie hit Kickstarter… and was completely funded in just over 10 hours.

Apparently there are a lot of fans (Marshmallows) that want to see Kristen Bell back in the classic role, and now we know just when you’ll get that wish!

The first trailer for the film, which is titled simply Veronica Mars, has just debuted online. Now, I’ve never seen an episode of Veronica Mars before, but it’s definitely something that I’ll be looking into before the movie hits theatres this March (especially since the trailer is pretty great).

Are you a fan? Are you looking forward to the character’s return? Take a look at the trailer below, and let us know what you think! Veronica Mars hits VOD and theatres on March 14th.

EW has announced the release date for the anticipated film, which is titled simply Veronica Mars, and that date is March 14th, 2014. Note that this is a full theatrical run, and not a limited run / VOD combo as was originally expected. Warner Bros. has stated that fans will determine just how long the feature will stay in theatres.

EW also has an exclusive clip of the film, so head here and check it out!

Disney has just released the first teaser for Frozen, their new animated film set to hit theatres this November.

The preview reveals little about the feature, and simply introduces us to two of the secondary characters in the film, Olaf the snowman, and Sven the reindeer. It’s a pretty hilarious introduction, and should garner a lot of excitement from any child (well, and adult) who gets a chance to see it.

Take a look at the teaser below, and let us know what you think! Again, Frozen stars Kristen Bell, Josh Gad, Idina Menzel, and more, and hits theatres on November 27th!

In “Frozen,” fearless optimist Anna (voice of Kristen Bell ) teams up with rugged mountain man Kristoff (voice of Jonathan Groff ) and his loyal reindeer Sven in an epic journey, encountering Everest-like conditions, mystical trolls and a hilarious snowman named Olaf in a race to find Anna’s sister Elsa (voice of Idina Menzel), whose icy powers have trapped the kingdom of Arendelle in eternal winter. Encountering Everest-like conditions, mystical trolls and a hilarious snowman named Olaf, Anna and Kristoff battle the elements in a race to save the kingdom.

This is absolutely mind-blowing.

Apparently there are a TON of Veronica Mars fans out there, because a just-launched Kickstarter campaign with a goal of $2 000 000 has just hit the 75% mark. According to the official Kickstarter twitter account, this project is the fastest to ever hit $1 million, reaching the milestone in just over four hours.

Now, I’ve never exactly seen the show, so I’m not sure what all of the fuss is about, but there is obviously something very special about Rob Thomas’ creation. Veronica Mars premiered its three-season run in September of 2oo4 and instantly vaulted Kristen Bell into stardom.

Warner Bros. has given its blessing, Kristen Bell is in, and the fans clearly want it. With just under $500 000 to go and 30 days to do it, its pretty safe to say that we’ll be seeing Veronica again soon.

If you’re a fan, you’ll definitely want to head to the project’s Kickstarter page and check it out. A multitude of different incentives are available, including digital downloads of the completed film, DVD’s, and even a speaking role.

Watch Rob’s video regarding the project below, and fund away! Let us know if you’re excited for this one!

EDIT: Well, that’s incredible. The project has met 100% of its funding goal in just over 10 hours. Veronica Mars is back, baby!

Last week DC announced plans to move forward with a Justice League movie. With that came an announcement that they were also moving forward with ‘The Flash’, ‘Wonder Woman’, ‘Aquaman’ and ‘Suicide Squad’.

And with the recent Justice League fancast we did…I chose to do a fan-cast of my own for the DC movie that is moving forward that I am most excited for…

Suicide Squad is an anti-hero team of incarcerated supervillains who act as deniable assets for the United States government, undertaking high-risk black ops missions in exchange for commuted prison sentences. The group operates out of Belle Reve Penitentiary, currently under the command of Amanda Waller.

Now one thing about this is that i’m going to cast this movie ground in a bit of realism. I’m not going to use characters with superpowers exactly. I’m more so pursuing an ‘Expendables of the comic world’ casting here. I’ll also be focusing on more of a ‘New 52’ team versus a classic team. I know… I apologize to the Rick Flag fans.

Amanda Waller (Angela Bassett)

So first things first…we already have Waller established. No need to re-cast. This will establish some form of connection/continuity amongst the DC movies with Waller playing a Fury-like role.

Deadshot aka Floyd Lawton (Sam Worthington)

Sorry I can’t see him as Bruce Wayne myself. But I’ve been saying this one for awhile now… Worthington would play a perfect version of the moody ‘New 52’ Deadshot. Just imagine him playing the role like he played Marcus in ‘Terminator: Salvation’. Plus having his name to the film would definitely draw crowds.

Captain Boomerang aka George “Digger” Harkness (Guy Pearce)

So let’s add another fan-favorite actor to the mix here. And to top it off he’s Australian. Score.

Black Spider aka Eric Needham (Michael Jai White)

‘Suicide Squad’ definitely has to be an action movie. So we need actors who can pull off action. And to top it off he looks the part. Another perfect fit.

Harley Quinn aka Harleen Frances Quinzel (Kristen Bell)

Harley is definitely needed in a ‘Suicide Squad’ flick and we definitely need someone that can pull of that twisted evil/cute/hot/mentally unstable role and if you remember her as Elle on ‘Heroes’ I can definitely see this working.

Savant aka Brian Durlin (Liam Hemsworth)

So, Marvel had success with his brother Chris. Why can’t DC use Liam? His name alone will draw. And especially after ‘The Hunger Games’ and the upcoming ‘Expendables 2’ we know he can pull off action roles.

So, as I stated at the start of this article…i’m going after realism here. I think the concept of ‘Suicide Squad’ will work much better with realistic characters and thats why I chose the above. And I left Rick Flag out just because I think he’s kind of boring.

So, who would the Squad go toe to toe with? My pick would be personally villains who had escaped Belle Reve and Waller wants them shut down before they can open their mouths about the existence of Task Force X.

Count Vertigo (Paul Bettany)

Bettany has proven that he can do action films. But can he pull off the villain role? Id like to see.

Dr. Light (Robert Knepper)

Dr. Light is a rapist and creep. Have you ever seen Knepper on ‘Prison Break’? That combined with his role on ‘Heroes’? Perfection.

Bronze Tiger (Wesley Snipes. Yes…really.)

Yes. Wesley Snipes. Does he have the look? Check. Does he know martial arts? Check. Would he draw in crowds? Check. Do they both apparently like orange turtlenecks? Check.

Scandal Savage (Morena Baccarin)

Yes I know she’s a member of ‘Secret Six’ but I felt like mixing in another female in here for a super sexy showdown with Harley. You want to see that right? She has the look. Can she pull the role off? Not sure. But she has the look!

The above are solely my opinions. Feel free to agree or disagree in the box below.
