Briefly: Aside from Electro, Sony hasn’t really released a good, close-up shot of any of The Amazing Spider-Man 2‘s other villains.

Today, the studio released a great shot of the usually silly-looking Green Goblin, and he actually looks kind of sinister.

In the video, The Walking Dead VFX Supervisor Greg Nicotero and The Amazing Spider-Man 2 VFX Supervisor Jerome Chan chat about… well, what else? VFX of course!

With The Walking Dead‘s fourth season coming to a close next Sunday, and The Amazing Spider Man 2 launching just a few week’s later (not to mention Captain America: The Winter Soldier next week), it’s clearly a fantastic time to be a geek. Briefly: I’ve had pretty mixed feelings for The Amazing Spider-Man 2 marketing thus far; we’ll get a great trailer, followed by a poor one, followed by a great clip, and then a stupid on, and so on. I’m happy to say that the film’s just-released final trailer falls in the positive category.

It features a ton of new footage, and it also gives us our first non-still look at the still stupid-looking Green Goblin, as well as the actually-pretty-cool-in-motion Rhino.

Briefly: We should be seeing that final trailer any day now, but in the meantime, Sony has debuted eight new stills from The Amazing Spider-Man 2.

The (fairly low-res) stills give us a good look at the face of our new Green Goblin among other things. I still really dislike the way that the villain looks (redditor lixik had a pretty great description, stating that he “looks like Frankie Muniz trying to play gollum.”)

Briefly: Sony has debuted a new clip from The Amazing Spider-Man 2 (between all of the trailers and clips, we must have almost seen the entire movie by now), this time showing Spidey trying to reason with Electro in Times Square.

The scene certainly looks intense (aside from Jamie Foxx’s electric blue, which I’m still having a hard time getting used to), and is one of the better clips that we’ve seen from the film so far. Take a look at the video below, and let us know what you think!

Briefly: Following the all-too-revealing international trailer from a few weeks back, Sony today debuted a new featurette for the highly anticipated The Amazing Spider-Man 2.

The featurette digs into Gwen and Peter’s tough relationship, and breaks down the Gwen-needs-to-leave-but-doesn’t-want-to-leave subplot of the film, as well as the fact that Peter feels bad for breaking his promise to the late Captain Stacey.

Briefly: Following up on that Green Goblin image from a few days back, Sony Pictures has just debuted a new, 3-minute long international trailer for The Amazing Spider-Man 2.

The video contains a ton of new footage and a lot of new plot revelations, so if you’re trying to head to the theatre surprised, I’d recommend that you avoid the video. It also contains way too much dubstep for any movie trailer, but other than that, it’s a pretty cool watch.
