Marvel is really keeping the hype train a chugging, as their “Phase 3” movement will begin with a sequel to this years blockbuster Ant-Man which earned the studio $410 Million globally.

The studio announced that Ant-Man and The Wasp is set to hit theaters July 6th, 2018 and has Hope Van Dyne taking up the role of The Wasp.

The announcement of the sequel comes with the news that there are a few changes to the Marvel lineup. Black Panther will be moving UP to February 16th, 2018 and Captain Marvel on March of 2019.

There are also three films coming in 2020 that I’m dubbing the “Mystery Movies”. Marvel Studios is having a release on May 1st, July 10th and November 6th of 2020.

Paul Rudd will reprise his role as Ant-Man in Captain America: Civil War which is hitting theaters May 6th 2016.

The last 24 hours have been interesting. Ubisoft started a mysterious live stream on their YouTube channel. A static shot of of some cave paintings, rhythmic chanting and the crackle of a fire. Then, the now suspended Twitter account for IGN Turkey let loose with the news that Far Cry Primal was the next in store for the franchise. Still, the live stream ran for almost 24 hours. And then we got ourselves THIS trailer.

The award-winning Far Cry franchise that stormed the tropics and the Himalayas now enters the original fight for humanity’s survival with its innovative open-world sandbox gameplay, bringing together massive beasts, breathtaking environments, and unpredictable savage encounters.

Welcome to the Stone Age, a time of extreme danger and limitless adventure, when giant mammoths and sabretooth tigers ruled the Earth, and humanity is at the bottom of the food chain. As the last survivor of your hunting group, you will learn to craft a deadly arsenal, fend off fierce predators, and outsmart enemy tribes to conquer the land of Oros and become the Apex Predator.

Key Features:

– RISE ABOVE EXTINCTION
You will play as Takkar, a seasoned hunter and the last surviving member of your group. You have one goal: survival in a world where you are the prey.

– STONE AGE BY FAR CRY
This isn’t the Stone Age you thought you knew. This is the Stone Age with irreverence and mayhem. This is the Stone Age by Far Cry.

– A WORLD RULED BY GIANT BEASTS
After the last Ice Age, the glaciers retreated to leave behind a land blooming with nature and resources where humans and animals alike can thrive – provided they have what it takes to prove their dominance.

This is an interesting departure from the previous three titles. The player is sent back in time, to ancient time. I definitely got vibes of The Forrest, Ark and other survival games in a similar ilk.

With Far Cry Primal and Horizon Zero Dawn, the hunting pack motif is going to be really strong in the next couple of years.

You can catch your own copy of Far Cry Primal February 23 2016 on PC, PS4 and Xbox One.

We’re edging ever so closer to the climax of this latest James Bond release. Spectre is just a month away and we have our final trailer from Sony. Check it out with me below.

The Daniel Craig era of Bond has etched itself out as a modern “reboot” of the James Bond franchise, and Spectre is set to introduce the sinister organisation from older Bond films.

I really appreciated the line “I came here to kill you.”. ‘And I thought you came here to die!’. It is a nice little call back to the famous line from the 1964 Goldfinger.

Spectre hits theatres November 6th!

Maybe you’re as confused as I am when you read the news, but it looks like Nat Wolff is in final talks to be the star in the upcoming Warner Bros. live action adaptation of Death Note.

Death Note is the hugely popular anime about a highschool student (Light Yagami) who finds a notebook, that when he writes in it, can kill anyone in anyway he wants. The anonymous killings soon bring the attention of the police, as they and society want to find out who the killer (dubbed Kira) is. The anime has spawned two Japanese live action films over seas with successful box offices.

It’s not known if Warner plans to “white wash” their version of Death Note, or keep the quirky “Japneseness” of the original anime.

Nat Wolff previously starred in, arguably LIGHTER roles, such as Fault In Our Stars and Paper Towns. Someone over at director Adam Wingards office must have seen something in the young actor. Something very serial killer-esque.

Production on the film is set to begin in the spring.

I believe. I believe so fucking hard.

Fox has JUST released the OFFICIAL trailer (there were some shady bootlegs rolling around yesterday)  for the upcoming continuation of the beloved sci fi television series The X-Files. Watch this trailer with me, and believe.

https://youtu.be/_1SmJUBT5q0

In 2016 FOX presents the next mind-bending chapter of, THE X-FILES, with a six-episode event series from creator/executive producer Chris Carter. David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson return as Mulder and Scully in, THE X-FILES!

If you’ve been living under a rock forever, The X-Files is one of the quintessential sci fi TV programs out there. It’s groundbreaking storytelling and narrative spawned an entire generation of shows and films in a similar ilk.

Earlier this year it was confirmed that the show would return as a six party miniseries.

The trailer was amazing, it was like I was jettisoned back to my youth. Terrified but intrigued of what I was seeing on my television.

The trailer really is hitting on the current troupes of the “conspiracy theory” community. What with things like the NDAA, The Snowden Leaks, Operation Northwoods, Agenda 21, Operation paperclip, Operation Mockingbird (is it apparent that I like to read up on these things?) Chris Carter and his team are definitely going to be bringing an interesting story to the airwaves.

The X-Files returns to the airwaves January 24th 2016!

The wondrously hyped (and extremely expensive) LEGO Dimensions seems to be the ultimate “Toys to Game” property out there. When Gandalf, Marty McFly, Batman and Chell can all run through a Portal testing chamber together, you’ve got my attention.

https://youtu.be/0GcIsM2fDTI

Our own Josh Jackson has lamented the cost prohibitve nature of LEGO Dimensions. With some of the models and expansions yielding $30 for one hour of gameplay, I have to agree.

LEGO Dimensions is currently out on all platforms, sans PC Masterrace.

You’ll be hard pressed to find a child of the 70’s, OR a film geek, that doesn’t know who The Warriors are.

Just in case you AREN’T in the know, The Warriors is a 1979 classic film about a group of gangsters just trying to get home to the safety of Coney Island.

The original cast joined forces with Rolling Stone Magazine for one last subway ride home. They met fans and gang member mimics alike. Check out the short film below.

Seriously, Bethesda. Just give us Fallout 4 right now, okay? Every day they seem to be releasing more and more tantalizing tid-bits of information to keep us gamers excited.

Today they released this short little video detailing the Character System in Fallout 4. The new perk system looks WAY better than it was in previous titles.

Fallout 4 hits store shelves November 10th on PC, PS4 and Xbox One.

Fallout 4 is getting closer and closer to our grubby little hands. Bethesda has us chomping at the bit with these awesome videos detailing all the different stats your character can have.

Every once in a while there comes along a perfect chocolate peanutbutter situation. Today we have the newest Reese’s on our hands.

Tamashii Nations and Bluefin have teamed up to bring us the Meisho Movie Realization Star Wars line of figures, and holy crap they look absolutely amazing! Check them out below!

The Meisho Movie Realization Star Wars line pays homage to the Samurai aesthetic and artfully reimagines several Empire characters from the legendary films with feudal-style Japanese armor and weaponry. Each figure is exquisitely crafted by some of Japan’s top sculpting talent and constructed with hybrid materials featuring up to 15 points of articulation to create endless posing possibilities.

The newest addition to the Meisho Movie Realization Star Wars product line is the “Ronin” Boba Fett, which debuts in December and depicts the intergalactic bounty hunter as a “lordless” Samurai warrior via the sculpting talent of artists Takeyuki Takeya and Junichi Taniguchi. The “Daisho” Darth Vader depicts the Dark Sith Lord as a Samurai General clad in sinister black “Death Star” armor and will debut in January 2016. It will be followed in May 2016 by the imposing Akazonae Royal Guard, outfitted with a Japanese-style katana and pike and resplendent in beautiful crimson-robed armor. Pre-orders for these figures are available now.

Fans that want to dive into the Meisho Movie Realization Star Wars line immediately can select from a trio of figures – available now – that includes the “Ashigaru” Stormtrooper, and the Samurai General “Taisho” Darth Vader. Each is clad in a unique set of armor and comes with an array of weapons and other accessories.

These look absolutely INCREDIBLE! We’ve all seen the pictures of Samurai Stormstrooper cosplays from Comic Con, but to see a bunch of other characters realized in the same fashion, this geek is ecstatic!

Star Wars and the Samurai motif go together perfectly, and even a lot of fans have drawn the similarities between the Star Wars films and early Japanese films from the likes of Akira Kurosawa.

The figures range in price from $82 – $93, these are obviously not for the youngsters. You can snag the Taisho Darth Vader and the Stormtrooper figures right now, and the rest can be added to your collection starting January 2016! For more information check out Bluefin’s official website!

If you aren’t in the know, Bethesda launched this kitschy campaign detailing all the different aspects of the S.P.E.C.I.A.L. attributes in Fallout 4. It’s the normal Fallout affair, all done in the style of a 1950’s product overview film.

Fallout 4 hits store shelves November 10th on PC, PS4 and Xbox One.

The first trailer, for the first DLC being offered in the Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate season pass is here. And it looks…pretty damn fun! Check out Jack The Ripper!

Jack the Ripper begins his reign of terror in an all-new campaign, available in the Assassin’s Creed Syndicate Gold Edition.

One of the most appealing things of the Assassin’s Creed series is the integration of fiction with actual historical facts. The Ezio trilogy had the perfect combination of fictional story telling, blended with text book accurate retelling of historical events. Brotherhood was my favorite in the series for this reason, probably due to the fact that I am a HUGE geek for the Renaissance time period. I flipped my shit when I ran into the Medici!

Seeing Ubisoft take the well known tale of Jack The Ripper really has me excited. Reminds me of the Black Dahlia Murders from LA Noire, putting a fictional ending to the unknown.

You can get the Jack The Ripper DLC in the Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate season pass. Syndicate hits store shelves October 23rd on PC, PS4 and Xbox One

Yesterday we shared with you the live action trailer for the up coming Destiny expansion The Taken King. I still stand by my critique of the trailer. Bad dialogue and inappropriate music. (We go into it at length on the Geekscape Games Podcast). Well it looks like we may have gotten the live action trailer we wanted, but only if you’re in Japan.

https://youtu.be/MsmZ1Qu7x34

The video stars popular Japanese actor Ryo Katsuji, who is apparently a pretty big fan of Destiny. If you can read moonspeak, check out the Japanese Playstation/Destiny page for a little behind the scenes interview with Ryo.

As I was watching the Japanese version I was totally enamored with it, but on reflection I’m not totally sure. I may just be looking at it with weaboo eyes; who knows if this is on the same level of cringe as the English live action trailers.

Regardless, I like this one WAY more. Stay weird Japan. Stay weird.

With the largest expansion to Destiny just FIVE days away, Bungie and Activision have just dished out this brand new live action launch trailer for The Taken King. Check it out!

https://youtu.be/RpDLxs8z08A

The Taken King plans to bring a GIANT amount of content and story to the game, and extra story is what Destiny desperately needs. The expansion was preempted by a big ole’ update this week introducing the new core changes to the game, as well as adding Nolan North’s performance as your Ghost sidekick.

There isn’t much to say about the trailer. I PERSONALLY feel it falls a tad short, especially considering some of the AMAZING live action trailers that have come out of Halo. I blame Activision, the music (much like the Led Zeppelin from the previous live action trailer) just doesn’t fit the Destiny universe. This all makes a lot of sense considering what was learned during the Marty O’Donnell lawsuit.

Destiny: The Taken King hit’s store shelves next Tuesday, September 15th and is available on all platforms where you can find Destiny!

HOLY FREAKING CRAP! HOLY! FREAKING! CRAP! HOLYFREAKINGCRAP! Pokemon GO looks fucking awesome!

What do you get when Nintendo, Niantic and The Pokemon Company join forces? You get something AMAZING!

Pokemon GO is a chocolate peanut butter situation if I have EVER seen one. The team that brought the world Ingress have finally moved onto a new project, and they’re teaming up with a beloved franchise. As the above trailer depicts, Pokemon GO is going to have players getting up and off the couch and out into the world to catch some ‘Mon!

Travel between the real world and the virtual world of Pokémon with Pokémon GO for iPhone and Android devices! With Pokémon GO, you’ll discover Pokémon in a whole new world—your own! Pokémon GO will use real location information to encourage players to search far and wide in the real world to discover Pokémon.

The Pokémon video game series has used real-world locations such as the Hokkaido and Kanto regions of Japan, New York, and Paris as inspiration for the fantasy settings in which its games take place. Now the real world will be the setting!

The Pokémon video game series has always valued open and social experiences, such as connecting with other players to enjoy trading and battling Pokémon.Pokémon GO’s gameplay experience goes beyond what appears on screen, as players explore their neighborhoods, communities, and the world they live in to discover Pokémon alongside friends and other players.

What is extra exciting is the addition of a wearable. The Pokemon Go Plus is a small device that players can wear, that connects via bluetooth to their phone to give them updates about live events or other trainers nearby!

inline-576x240
Pokemon GO Plus wearable will surely attract attention!

As a diehard Ingress fan, and a diehard Pokemon fan I can’t be more excited! The thrill of running around city streets at night, with a bunch of my fellow Ingress players is one that I love, toss Pokemon into that scenario and you got yourselves something to look forward too!

Pokemon GO will hit Google Play and the App-Store early 2016. It will be FREE but have in app purchases.

Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain is easily one of the most popular games this year. Even some of the best games can experience bugs, much like the one in MGSV.

Under specific circumstances, the save file of your game can halt and or get corrupted. Konami dishes on their blog today with what is the cause, and how to avoid losing your precious progress.

In “METAL GEAR SOLID V: THE PHANTOM PAIN” which was released on September 1st, 2015 there is a possibility that the game stops progress if having Quiet as a buddy while playing “Mission 29” or “Mission 42”. This situation can be avoided by not using Quiet as a buddy while playing either “Mission 29” or “Mission 42”.

We deeply apologize, and appreciate your patience for further announcements regarding this issue.

This issue is known to be present for Xbox360, XboxOne, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4 and Steam.

Seems like an easy thing to avoid, no word on a patch or a hotfix from Konami.

Looks like we’ve already got our long term Fallout 4 gameplan all sorted. With the announcement that there are no level caps in Fallout 4, we were all pretty happy with the end game content of the game.

Bethesda let loose this great bounty of news on their official blog today. That besides the normally expected hotfixes and free content we’ve come to expect from Bethesda, they’ve announced some SWEET details of their Season Pass, paid DLC releases and their mod support!

The most important thing in our games is the freedom you have to create your own experience, and modding is a big part of that. Like all our previous games, we’ve made sure to keep Fallout 4 open and moddable at every step in development. Early next year we’ll release for free the new Creation Kit for the PC. This is the same tool we use in the studio. You’ll be able to create your own mods and share them with others. We’re especially excited these same mods will then be coming to Xbox One, and then PlayStation 4.

We’ve always done a lot of DLC for our games. We love making them and you always ask us for more. To reward our most loyal fans, this time we’ll be offering a Season Pass that will get you all of the Fallout 4 DLC we ever do for just $30. Since we’re still hard at work on the game, we don’t know what the actual DLC will be yet, but it will start coming early next year. Based on what we did for Oblivion, Fallout 3, and Skyrim, we know that it will be worth at least $40, and if we do more, you’ll get it all with the Season Pass.

Thanks again to all of you! The support and excitement you’ve given Fallout 4 has blown us away. It’s energized us even more to do everything we can in these final months to make this our best game yet. We absolutely can’t wait for you to play it, and share your adventures with us and each other.

Usually the term “Season Pass” is met with furrowed brows and furiously angry comments on Reddit, but in the case of Fallout 4, I’m okay with it. The expansions that have come with past “modern” Fallout titles have always at least met their dollar amount in play value. It is refreshing to know that they haven’t event begun to start WORKING on the expansions. FABULOUS!

Fallout 4 hits store shelves November 10th on PC, PS4 and Xbox One.

American’s are the brunt of a lot of jokes, mostly ones about our propensity for larger things. Larger cars. Larger soda. Larger women. So when Nintendo had NO plans for a US release of the New 3DS it became vogue to make fun of us and our New 3DS XL’s. WELL WHO’S LAUGHING NOW?!

Announced today at the Gamestop Managers Conference, which is apparently a thing, Nintendo is bringing the smaller 3DS console to US shores with a few fancy bundles.

New3DS_ACHHD_Final_Render

Bundle Includes:

New 3DS

Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer

Two changeable faceplaces

1 Amiibo card.

The Animal Crossing New 3DS bundle hits store shelves September 25th for $219

The other new console we’re getting our hands on a special Hyrule Edition 3DS XL. No pictures have been released yet, but it will be gold with the Hyrule Crest on the front. Pick it up as a Gamestop exclusive on October 30th for $199.

It’s awesome to see Nintendo finally bringing the smaller console to the US shores. The interchangeable faceplates are strangely absent on the XL edition, a huge oversight in my mind.

Let us know what you think about the new bundles, are you excited for the smaller 3DS? You KNOW our correspondent El Chucho is going to be getting his preorders in today!

I LOVE mashups and crossovers! When TV or Film characters from different properties interact, or in the case of Dengeki Bunko: Fighting Climax, anime/manga I get hype! Check out the opening film from the game!

Any Weaboo worth his salt will immediately recognize the properties these character are from, but if you’re just a Junior Weaboo let me list them out for you!

A Certain Magical Index
Accel World
Black Bullet
DURARARA!!
Oreimo
Ro-Kyu-Bu!
Shakugan no Shana
STRIKE THE BLOOD
Sword Art Online
The Irregular at Magic High School
Toradora!

I haven’t had a chance to play the game, but the models look absolutely amazing!

You can get your hands on Dengeki Bunko: Fighting Climax October 6th on PS3 and PS Vita.

If you snag yourself the Launch Edition of the game you will also get a copy of the soundtrack!

The timing on this news couldn’t be MORE poignant, since on this week’s Geekscape we asked you what Nintendo series would you like seen made into a movie and by which director. While not a NINTENDO first party, Castlevania III: Dracula’s Curse is getting moved onto celluloid!

Producer Adi Shankhar (Power/Rangers, Punisher: Dirty Laundry, Voices) has a flair for the violent and over the top. So when it was announced that he was joining up with animation house Frederator (Adventure Time, Fairly OddParents, Chalkzone) we couldn’t have been more excited!

In an interview with Collider this morning, Shankar said:

There will be a lot [Violence]. The goal is to bring hard hitting anime to the America and be America’s first animated series for adults.

He went on to say that he wants the show to have the look and feel of classic Anime’s like Akira and Ninja Scroll.

I can’t be MORE hype for this project! Shankar really knows how to bring out the good in his projects, and fans of Castlevania III are all much older now and can appreciate the extra violence he is sure to bring.

No word on release date or anything, but keep an eye out here on Geekscape because you can GUARANTEE I will be keeping you up on the project!

Yes. Madden. THAT Madden. The definition of “same game every year” has done something creative, and spawned this hilarious trailer. It will arguably be more enjoyable than the actual game, but none the less, it looks like EA Sports has done something worth while with that Madden money.

It’s always refreshing to see something not take itself too seriously, being able to make fun of yourself is always a plus in my book!

Madden NFL 16 hits store shelves August 25th on PS3, PS4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One.

Last week we let you know all about the official Resident Evil 2 Remake that was going down over at Capcom, and I speculated on the Geekscape Games Podcast that the team from Resident Evil 2: Reborn were going to be out of a job. WELL, I was right. Invader Games announced today on their official Facebook that they’re ceasing the project. TO GO WORK ON THE OFFICIAL REMAKE!

InvaderGames closes down the project of Resident Evil 2 Reborn and is invited by Capcom to discuss further ideas

Hello everybody!
First of all we want to thank all of you for the passion and the attachment that you have daily shown us. We’ll be always grateful.
Today we want to join us of a very special day for InvaderGames. After the official announcement of the Resident Evil 2 remake by Capcom, we officialise the end of the works on Resident Evil 2 Reborn.
Contrary to what might be thought, this is wonderful news for us and, as fans, we’re so happy that Capcom has decided to take the lead of the project and to develop the remake awaited for years by everybody (nobody could bring back to life the masterpiece of 1998 better than the creators themselves). Meanwhile as developers, we’re honoured to announce that we’ve been officially invited to meet Capcom.
Capcom called us up in advance of the announcement and asked us if we would mind stopping the project as they had longer term plans for a Resident Evil 2 Remake. They have invited us to a meeting to discuss further ideas.
Even though we cannot complete the project of Resident Evil 2 Reborn, we’re happy that what we’ve shown has achieved consents from worldwide fans and especially has been noticed from Capcom itself. We promise that the work done until now will be useful for future projects, we won’t disappoint your and our expectations.

Thank you again for letting us to be where we are now in spite of the long way that remains to be walked through, we hope to focus soon on the biggest professional chance that we could get. Once more, we’re very grateful to Capcom for having noticed our work and having appreciated as much the love we feel about the Resident Evil saga as developing videogames. It’s very rare to find such a leader company in the industry so much open minded and sensitive to the work of a growing studio like ours, guided by passion and competence.

News available soon, stay tuned!

InvaderGames Team

There is a lot of speculation from the fans of Reborn that the amount of attention it was receiving was enough for Capcom to pull the trigger on the official Remake. REGARDLESS, this is actually a fairly progressive move from a video game company. The modus operandi is typically to shut everything down, threaten lawsuits and brush the entire fan project under the rug.

It will be very exciting to see what Invader Games will be bringing to the table of this project.

If you’re even a casual fan of Geekscape then The Guardians of The Galaxy should be a name you’re familiar with. HELL, they were arguably one of the most popular films of last year. So when Entertainment Earth announced that they had an exclusive edition of the Marvel Legends line of figures from Hasbro I JUMPED at the chance to check them out.

Overview

What you get in the box.
What you get in the box.

This is how things look when you open the box. The packaging is really high quality stuff, and you can easily display the collection without opening the box. I, on the other hand, always play with my toys so I popped the package open right away.

This is what is included with the collection:

  • The exclusive of the year!
  • All the Guardians of the Galaxy in one box set!
  • Groot, Drax the Destroyer, Gamora, Star-Lord, Rocket Raccoon, and Baby Groot in Pot!

Bring home the exclusive of the year with this Guardians of the Galaxy Comic Edition Marvel Legends Action Figure Box Set from Hasbro that includes 5 awesome figures in costumes you won’t find anywhere else… and a bonus baby Groot. – Groot (8-inches tall!)
– Drax the Destroyer
– Gamora
– Star-Lord Peter Quill
– Rocket Raccoon
– Baby Groot in Pot

What isn’t listed is the tiny little Tesseract that is included, small oversight but still worth noting.

Review

I was really excited to get these suckers open. First thing I noticed after opening the box was how tough the packaging is. They were a bit tough to get out of the plastic, and Gamora lost her head! Luckily she has a spare. They really had collectors in mind with this release, they will last forever on your shelf still in the box. The whole shebang also comes in a thick cardboard outer sleeve, so if you ever have to ship them or move them you’re covered.

First figure I grabbed was Star Lord. I really enjoy this version of Star Lord over the onscreen representation. Just personal preference really, I get that Rocketeer vibe from it. AND YOU ALL KNOW HOW MUCH OF A ROCKETEER FAN I AM!

Everyone out to play!
Everyone out to play!

I immediately was impressed with the levels of articulation, as well as how well Hasbro was able to hide it. If anyone is familiar with Figuarts or Play Arts toys, then you’re understand what I am talking about. The articulation of these figures are EASILY on par with those two companies, who are easily consider the leaders in advanced articulation. Whoever at Hasbro that designed these toys needs to get a huge bonus, I honestly wasn’t expecting how well these came out.

The sculpts and paints on these are also top notch. No glaring painting errors jumped out at me, and the figures all feel very detailed. Production is also very high. No flashing or damaged molding, and the articulation was very tight. Perhaps a bit TOO tight, as I was posing some of the figures I felt like I would damage them. I think if you were going to play with these often, then they would “work in” a little bit.

The accessories all match the quality. No Dollar Store guns here!

I only have a few complaints, and they are mild. The articulation on Rocket and Groot are a bit limited. I feel like Groot should have a bit more movement in his chest and feet, but I can see why they went with what they had. Guy is a big ass tree! Rocket’s design doesn’t really lend for more than what we get. He twists at the torso, his tail is on a ball joint and his arms have all the normal joints. He’s my favorite figure out of the bunch. I love his expression! Gamora I felt could use some more R&D on her design. It could just be that her character might not lend itself to a 3D figure, but she just didn’t resonate with me. For the quality of everything else in the box, they could have matched her cape to the rest of the collection. It’s your normal “toy” fabric analogue. If I were to display the figures outside of the box, I’d leave this off personally.

Final Thoughts

I was REALLY impressed with the whole lot. The pros definitely outweigh the cons I have with this collection. These are aimed at older fans of the series/serious collectors, so you’re not going to give this to a kid under 10. I’d be happier to see the set come down a little in price, at $120 it’s just a bit on the high side.

I give the Entertainment Earth Guardians of The Galaxy Comic Edition Figure Collection a definite BUY. If you’re a fan of well made toys you owe it to yourself to snag yourself this set.

For more information on the Guardians of The Galaxy Comic Edition Figure Collection, head on over to Entertainment Earth to snag yourself the team!

Looks like the Disney D23 Fan Expo is really blowing up today! With the recently announced/confirmed Incredibles 2we were given another treat! Toy Story 4 has been announced, a poster revealed and story arc laid out.

Toy Story 4 Poster

There have been some loose details floating around about what you could expect from the fourth installment in the Toy Story franchise. Pixar president Jim Morris was quoted in March saying

The third movie ended in a beautiful way and completed a trilogy. I think this movie is not part of this trilogy. It is a separate story, which in turn I do not know if will be continued. Never begin a project with that in mind. It is not a continuation of the end of the story of Toy Story 3.Temporarily it is, but it will be a love story. It will be a romantic comedy. It will not put much focus on the interaction between the characters and children. I think it will be a very good movie.

That lead fans to speculate as to what on earth could come from toys falling in love. Well, a nicely timed Tweet from ABC’s Good Morning America kind of nails down what the plot is going to be about.

It will be interesting to see what Pixar does with the Bo Peep character. She has been relegated to scenery in Toy Story 2 and didn’t even appear in Toy Story 3.

Toy Story 4 is slated to hit theaters June 16th, 2017

D23, the Disney Fan Expo is in full swing this weekend. The first images from the convention are starting to hit the internet and BOY DO WE HAVE A GOOD ONE FOR YOU! Looks like The Incredibles 2 is actually going to happen! Check out the official poster!

Incredibles 2 poster

And THATS ALL WE KNOW! Incredibles 2 is “coming soon” sometime in 2016, according to IMDB. Brad Bird is directing.

The HUGELY popular mobile title from Bethesda has just hit the Google Play store!

Fallout Shelter is Bethesda’s way of holding fans of Fallout 4 over until this November. The mobile game tasks players with designing, building and maintaining their own Valtec Vault. Players have to strategically place rooms and keep the health and happiness of the vaults dwellers up.

BUILD THE PERFECT VAULT
Create a brighter future…underground! Select from a variety of modern-day rooms to turn an excavation beneath 2,000 feet of bedrock into the very picture of Vault Life.

OVERSEE A THRIVING COMMUNITY
Get to know your Dwellers and lead them to happiness. Find their ideal jobs and watch them flourish. Provide them with outfits, weapons, and training to improve their abilities.

PROSPER
A well-run Vault requires a variety of Dwellers with a mix of skills. Build a Radio Room to attract new Dwellers. Or, take an active role in their personal lives; play matchmaker and watch the sparks fly!

EXPLORE THE WASTELAND
Send Dwellers above ground to explore the blasted surface left behind and seek adventure, handy survival loot, or unspeakable death. Find new armor and weapons, gain experience, and earn Caps. But don’t let them die!

PROTECT YOUR VAULT
From time to time, idyllic Vault life may be disrupted by the dangers of post-nuclear life. Prepare your Dwellers to protect against threats from the outside…and within.

Originally released on iOS, Fallout Shelter earned Bethesda a STAGGERING $5.1 Million in just two weeks!

So if you’ve got Android, head on over to the Play Store and get your hands on some Vault action!

File this one under, “slightly odd”. Zach Galifianakis is going to be the voice of The Joker.

Hollywood Reporter, reported (now their name makes sense), that the rude crude comedian will be taking up the role of the comedian of crime himself!

Galifianakis stars alongside Will Arnet, who is reprising his role of Batman, and Michael Cera who will be taking up the role of Robin The Boy Wonder.

Zach is no stranger to voice acting. He has had numerous roles in shows like Bobs Burgers, American Dad and Tom Goes To The Mayor. It will be very interesting to hear his take on the classic voice that Mark Hamill perfected. Will he go for, what most voice actors attempt, and recreate Hamill’s classic joker. OR will he bring his own original spin to the character.

LEGO Batman hits theaters May 26, 2017

Holy crap ‘scapists! It looks like Capcom has listened to its fans constants pleas. WE’RE GETTING A RESIDENT EVIL 2 REMAKE!

Announced just earlier today, Producer Yoshiaki Hirabyashi AKA “H”, confirmed the project has been approved by the higher ups at Capcom. The project was heavily influenced by fans, and H promises to keep the project updated by keeping in contact with the fans directly.

I am so excited for this game. Resident Evil 2 was the first survival horror game I ever played, and the remake of the original on the Gamecube was one of the my favorite games on the console. Let’s hope H and his team keep the game true to its roots.

Resident Evil 2 Remake will be released on the Unreal 4 engine. There is no release date as of yet.

Wow. Just wow. From the moment the teaser trailer for HBO’s 2016 show Westworld started I was hooked. No hyperbole here folks, I’m fucking sold.

The show stars Anthony Hopkins, Ed Harris, Evan Rachel Wood, James Marsden, Thandie Newton, Jeffrey Wright, Sidse Babett Knudsen, Rodrigo Santoro, Shannon Woodward, Ingrid Bolsø Berdal, Ben Barnes, Jimmi Simpson, Clifton Collins, Jr., Simon Quarterman and Angela Sarafyan.

Westworld is based off of the 1973 film of the same name, which just so happens to be Michael Crichtons first feature film.

HBO says their newest show is

A dark odyssey about the dawn of artificial consciousness and the future of sin.

Like I said up top there, I was instantly sold. The vibe I got right away really checked all my boxes and I cannot wait for this show to start.

Westworld airs on HBO sometime in 2016. BUT, you can get a first look at it TONIGHT just before the season two finale of True Detective.
