Briefly: Just two. more. months.

Naughty Dog has just debuted a brand-new story trailer for April’s Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End.

It’s a fantastic look at the game, and Naughty Dog director Neil Druckmann even said that it’s the “best trailer in Naughty Dog history.”

That’s high praise.

The trailer offers a fantastic new look at a game that we cannot wait to get our dirty paws on, and shows off a lot of Uncharted 4 elements that we haven’t seen yet.

In the game, “Several years after his last adventure, retired fortune hunter Nathan Drake is forced back into the world of thieves. With the stakes much more personal, Drake embarks on a globe-trotting journey in pursuit of a historical conspiracy behind a fabled pirate treasure. His greatest adventure will test his physical limits, his resolve, and ultimately what he’s willing to sacrifice to save the ones he loves.”

A Thief’s End (finally) hits PS4 on April 26th. Who’s excited?

Briefly: Damn.

Back in January an exciting, believable rumour churned across the internet that had Marvel, Daredevil, and The Punisher fans absolutely ecstatic. Word at the time was that a standalone Netflix The Punisher series was seemingly moments away from being greenlit.

It looks as though this was, sadly, nothing more than a rumour (damn you), as a just published excerpt with Marvel’s head of television Jeph Loeb, notes that “I think that’s something that people are speculating on, as opposed to something that’s actually happening. It’s certainly our hope that any of our characters will be embraced and that people want to see more of them.”

Now, we can certainly hope that Loeb is simply trying to downplay this whole thing, and that an official The Punisher announcement will arrive just days after Daredevil‘s second season blows all of our minds on March 18th… But for now, hope is all that we can do.

Loeb also spoke on the quick renewal of Jessica Jones, stating that “When they announced that Jessica Jones was getting a second season, every single report said, ‘It should come as a surprise to no one that Jessica Jones has received a second season order’. I’m the guy going, ‘Well, it was a surprise to me! It isn’t a given in television. The fact that we get to continue telling stories with these characters speaks a lot about the quality of the storytelling and the acting and the writing. We are telling the best stories that we can at Netflix, and they seem to be responding to it.”

Daredevil‘s second season hits Netflix in its entirety on March 18th, and we can’t freaking wait. Just how badly do you want to see a standalone The Punisher series? Be sure to sound out below!

Briefly: While it’s bound to be overshadowed by the towering release of Warner Bros. Batman v. Superman: Dawn of JusticeDivergent fans everywhere are readying their best Four and Tris costumes and getting ready to line up in droves on March 18th.

Today, Lionsgate debuted the first, romantic clip from the anticipated sequel.

In the film, after the earth-shattering revelations of ‘Insurgent’, Tris must escape with Four and go beyond the wall enclosing Chicago. For the first time ever, they will leave the only city and family they have ever known. Once outside, old discoveries are quickly rendered meaningless with the revelation of shocking new truths. Tris and Four must quickly decide who they can trust as a ruthless battle ignites beyond the walls of Chicago which threatens all of humanity. In order to survive, Tris will be forced to make impossible choices about courage, allegiance, sacrifice and love.

Briefly: Now that Deadpool has come and gone (well, it’s still very much here, based on its continued box office performance), all eyes have now fallen onto the second gigantic super hero flick of 2016, Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice.

We already know that the film, which is now just over a month away, is set to be (definitely) long, (probably) too busy, and (likely) a damned good time, but some fresh news states that the home video release of Dawn of Justice will feature a we-wouldn’t-have-guessed-it ‘R’ rating.

Nope, it’s not going over-the-top ‘R’ (or how-the-hell-is-this-14A-in-Canada) like this month’s Deadpool, noting that the film is ‘Rated R for sequences of violence’.

Whether Snyder and company were deliberately shooting for this rating, or simply riding on the coattails of Deadpool at this point is uncertain, but in any case, color me interested to see just how this version differs from the Dawn of Justice that we’ll be seeing next month.

Are you looking forward to the film? How would you feel about the ‘R’ rated home edition? Sound out below!

Briefly: Following the in-motion looks at Foggy Nelson and Karen Page, Netflix has just debuted new motion artwork depicting a menacing Frank Castle (holding Daredevil’s mask to boot).

Just when Matt thinks he is bringing order back to the city, new forces are rising in Hell’s Kitchen. Now the Man Without Fear must take on a new adversary in Frank Castle and face an old flame – Elektra Natchios.

Bigger problems emerge when Frank Castle, a man looking for vengeance, is reborn as The Punisher, a man who takes justice into his own hands in Matt’s neighborhood. Meanwhile, Matt must balance his duty to his community as a lawyer and his dangerous life as the Devil of Hell’s Kitchen, facing a life-altering choice that forces him to truly understand what it means to be a hero.

Take a look at the new teaser below, keep watching that recently-released full trailer on repeat, and be sure to let us know if you’re as excited as we are! Daredevil‘s second season hits Netflix on March 18th!

Briefly: We’ve been eagerly awaiting any news about Marvel and ABC’s upcoming Mockingbird and Lance Hunter spinoff, Most Wanted for what feels like forever now (actually, since the series was confirmed back in August), and while we still don’t know a lot about what we can expect when the series premieres (probably) later in 2016, the very first synopsis has just been revealed.

Marvel’s Most Wanted “Centers on Bobbi Morse (a.k.a. Mockingbird) and Lance Hunter of “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., two ex-spies and ex-spouses who are on the run with no friends, no S.H.I.E.L.D. and a long list of enemies looking to claim a bounty on their heads. Able to trust no one but each other, Bobbi and Hunter form an uneasy alliance with Dominic Fortune, a rogue adventurer with a wealth of resources and even more adversaries, who agrees to protect them so long as they help him with his own agenda. These two heroes will help anyone in need, all while trying to uncover the conspiracy that put their own lives in jeopardy.”

Yep. As expected, this one sounds just as fun as Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and Marvel’s Agent Carter have been thus far.

Are you looking forward to the series? How do you feel about Adrianne Palicki as Mockingbird? Be sure to sound out in the comments below!

Briefly: We couldn’t be more excited for Captain America’s next adventure (well, along with most of the Avengers and a slew of new characters as well), and following that gorgeous Super Bowl spot from just a couple of weeks back, Empire has just debuted a few slick new images from the film, including our first look at Frank Grillo’s Crossbones.

Marvel’s “Captain America: Civil War” finds Steve Rogers leading the newly formed team of Avengers in their continued efforts to safeguard humanity. But after another incident involving the Avengers results in collateral damage, political pressure mounts to install a system of accountability, headed by a governing body to oversee and direct the team. The new status quo fractures the Avengers, resulting in two camps—one led by Steve Rogers and his desire for the Avengers to remain free to defend humanity without government interference, and the other following Tony Stark’s surprising decision to support government oversight and accountability.

Take a look at the images (including a new look a Scarlet Witch, and an incredible Empire cover) below, and let us know what you think! Captain America: Civil War hits theatres on May 6th!

Briefly: It’s almost here!

After being teased for what seems like forever, earlier this month Telltale finally let us know when we’d be able to get our hands on the first episode of The Walking Dead: Michonne mini-series.

Last week, they showed off the game’s stunning opening 6 minutes.

Michonne will debut on PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One on tomorrow, with a release on iOS and Android devices on February 25th, so today the developer debuted the bad-ass launch trailer for this first episode.

The debut episode is called ‘In Too Deep’, and in it, “Michonne joins Pete and his crew on the sailing ship The Companion as they cruise the coast for survivors and supplies. When a desperate signal for help draws them to a scene of horrific massacre, Michonne and the crew are lead further to the floating survivors’ colony of Monroe, which may just be harboring the person responsible for the carnage.”

Take a look at the launch trailer below, and let us know just how excited you are to play!

Briefly: Yeah, these two new teasers don’t really show us much of anything (and aren’t even real footage), but we’re so excited for Daredevil’s upcoming second season that we simply had to share.

We’re still watching the season’s recently-released full trailer on repeat, and now he have new looks at Foggy and Karen to add to the rotation.

Take a look at the new teasers below, and be sure to let us know if you’re as excited as we are!

Briefly: This is one piece of news that I’m absolutely ecstatic to learn about.

If you’re a regular around these parts (or listen to the Geekscape Games podcast), you’ll already know full well just how much we loved Campo Santo’s Firewatch, which hit Windows, OS X, Linux, and PS4 just a couple of weeks ago.

In my review, the main issue that I had with the title (aside from wishing that it were just a bit longer) were the constant performance problems that I experienced during my time with the PS4 version of the game. Frequent frame-rate drops, and even one full console lock-up had me noting that “I’m not talking about a lost frame here and a blip there, either; it seemed more like the title was struggling to run on this hardware at all.”

I also ushered hope that these issues could be resolved with a post-launch patch to the title, and that’s exactly what Campo Santo has done, as they announced yesterday on their official blog. The patch is live on PSN right now, and here’s what it features:

-Draw distance and shadow render distance have been improved, which should remove significant texture popping.

-Streaming loading and unloading has been significantly adjusted with extra safeties so you should no longer see loading happen right in front of you.

-We got Unity to fix a very rare hang that could occur when loading and unloading scenes.

-Many instances of unstable framerate have been improved.

-Auto-saves are now far less frequent, as they were causing the worst framerate hitches we have been seeing.

-Several places where people were escaping the world or getting stuck in collision have been refined. Also, if you are stuck in an endlessly falling state, the game will attempt to put you back, either through loading the last save or respawning Henry aboveground.

-Various cases where you were able to interrupt or break your current quest have been safeguarded.

These all sound like major improvements to the title, and I’m very excited that new players will be able to jump in and experience this great title in a much smoother fashion.

Campo Santo also notes that they’re not done supporting Firewatch yet, either, noting that they’re “currently working with Unity on further improving the game by upgrading to an upcoming version of their engine. We’re also planning to add subtitles for other languages to the PS4 version.”

You can read our review of the game here, and once you’ve played it, be sure to listed to Geekscape Games’ spoiler-filled discussion of Firewatch right here. Already play the game? Be sure to let us know what you thought of the title!

Briefly: It’s been a long time, Rayman.

No, not since I’ve played a Rayman game, as there are plenty of recent titles in the series that are worth checking out.

Ubisoft is celebrating the 20th anniversary of the character, however, which just made me realize that Rayman debuted when I was just five years old.

Moments ago, Ubisoft debuted Rayman Classic on the iOS App Store (no word of an Android version just yet), noting that you can now embark on epic adventures with Rayman in one of the most influent platform game of all times and relive the experience of playing the original version of the 1995 hit’.

The title costs a cool $4.99 on the Canadian App Store, is a universal purchase including both iPad and iPhone versions of the game, and even (thankfully) includes full gamepad support. I only hope that it’s updated in the future to include an Apple TV binary as well!

Forget what a platformer this old is all about? In Rayman Classic, you’ll:

-EMBODY Rayman, your favorite hero born in 1995
-REDISCOVER the fantasy cartoon worlds of the original game: The Dream Forest, The Band Lands, The Blue Mountains, The Candy Castle…
-RUN, dodge, jump, punch your way through the various levels of this classic platform game.
-UNLEASH Rayman’s special powers from the telescopic fist to the helicopter and defeat hostile creatures.
-SEEK OUT & FREE the Electoons to complete each level and restore the cosmic balance.
-HELP iconic and funny side characters in each world: The fairy Betilla, Tarayzan, Joe the extraterrestrial.
-DEFEAT each and every boss (Moskito, Mister Sax, Mr Dark…) in epic showdowns to free your friends.
-BEAT the Hardcore mode with one single life or choose the Casual mode for infinite tries.

Take a look at the Rayman Classic trailer below, and let us know if you’ll be picking it up!

Briefly: While I feel like this first trailer shows off just a bit too much, I’m actually surprised at just how creepy and intense the upcoming Amityville: The Awakening appears to be.

In the film, Belle and her family move into a new house, but when strange phenomena begin to occur in the house, Belle begins to suspect her Mother isn’t telling her everything and soon realizes they just moved into the infamous Amityville house.

I mean, you can’t really get more of a generic synopsis than that, but the just-released trailer itself actually features more disturbing moments than most horror trailers in recent memory.

This (somehow) marks the 13th entry in the Amityville franchise, and I’m hoping that the modern-day spin on this decades-old series can make the film feel far more fresh than that synopsis reads.

In any case, you can take a look at the creepy trailer below, and be sure to let us know what you think! Amityville: The Awakening hits theatres on April 1st!

Briefly: Following the awesome look at the film from the Super Bowl earlier this month (which gave us our fantastic first look at Krang and more), Paramount Pictures has just debuted four slick character posters for this Summer’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows.

Naturally, each of the four brother’s gets a dedicated poster, and while we’d have loved to see one for Arrow star Stephen Amell’s Casey Jones as well, these images are actually pretty damned cool.

Take a look at the four images below, and be sure to let us know if you’re looking forward to the film! We’re also interested in hearing what you thought of that controversial first film!

Briefly: Guardians of the Galaxy is still my favourite Marvel Studios film, and as such I could not be more excited to start seeing stills and footage from the now-in-production feature.

Marvel has just revealed that the film is officially in production, revealed the first behind-the-scenes photo for the film, and confirmed the film’s returning cast, and a big new addition: Kurt Russell.

What’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 about? Well, we don’t exactly know yet, but Marvel notes “Set to the all-new sonic backdrop of Awesome Mixtape #2, “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2” continues the team’s adventures as they unravel the mystery of Peter Quill’s true parentage.”

We’re in. That’s all the synopsis that we need.

Take a look at the image below, and keep scrolling for the full announcement from Marvel. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 hits theatres on May 5th, 2017!

The original “Guardians of the Galaxy” was a hit with critics and audiences alike, earning over $770 million at the worldwide box-office, and holds the record as the most successful debut film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. In addition, the film’s soundtrack went platinum and was nominated for a Grammy®.

Based on the Marvel comic characters first published in 1969, “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 ” continues the lineage of epic big-screen adventures chronicled in “Iron Man,” “The Incredible Hulk,” “Iron Man 2,” “Thor,” “Captain America: The First Avenger,” “The Avengers,” “Iron Man 3,” “Thor: The Dark World,” “Captain America: The Winter Soldier,” “Guardians of the Galaxy,” “Avengers: Age of Ultron,” “Ant-Man,” and the upcoming release schedule, which includes “Captain America: Civil War” on May 6, 2016; “Doctor Strange,” November 4, 2016; “Spider-Man,” July 7, 2017; and “Thor: Ragnarok” on November 3, 2017.

Marvel Studios continued its unprecedented success in 2015 with the release of “Avengers: Age of Ultron.” At the time of release, the film recorded the second biggest opening weekend of all time with a $191.3 million box office. It has also been the #1 release in every country where it has opened and has grossed over $1.4 billion in global box office. The studio also successfully launched another franchise with “Ant-Man,” starring Paul Rudd, Michael Douglas and Evangeline Lilly. The film opened #1 at the box office on July 17 and went on to gross more than $519 million at the worldwide box office. The film propelled the Marvel brands’ #1 domestic box-office opening streak to a record-breaking 12 consecutive films.

Briefly: Following the fantastic first teaser and key art from late last month, A&E has just debuted another creepy teaser for Bates Motel‘s upcoming season.

This season, Norma becomes increasingly fearful and desperate, going to great lengths to find Norman the professional help he needs. This further complicates their once unbreakable trust while Norman struggles to maintain his grip on reality. Sheriff Romero (Nestor Carbonell) once again finds himself drawn back into Norma and Norman’s lives. Will things finally heat up between Norma and the other man in her life, Sheriff Romero, and just how much further will he go to protect her?

The series returns on March 7th, and I couldn’t be more excited. Take a look at the new teaser below, and let us know what you think!

Briefly: Please be true.

This past weekend at the New York Toy Fair, Fox handed out a pamphlet to attendees noting all of their upcoming theatrical and home video releases.

Being just a year away at this point, the highly anticipated sequel to 2013’s The Wolverine made the pamphlet, giving us our very first logo for the feature, as well as noting a ‘Targeted Rating’ of R.

This comes at a time when the R-rated Deadpool shattered (and continues to shatter) financial expectations, breaking box office records, and this draw is likely to continue with the fantastic word of mouth that everyone has been giving the feature.

Based on that, if there was ever an appropriate time for a more mature Wolverine film, that time is now, and we can only hope that this wasn’t a misprint. That said, is it a safe move to take a PG/PG-13 character that people of all ages have been watching for years, and give him a more mature angle? I could anticipate a lot of angry parents ignorine ratings and walking out of theatres with their young ones.

Take a look at the image below, and be sure to let us know what you hope to see in the next The Wolverine! The film hits theatres on March 3rd, 2017!

Briefly: I’m not nearly as far into Fallout 4 as I’d wanted to be at this point (being an adult stinks), and I’m not even close to being ready to play any DLC for the beloved title.

Bethesda has just announced the very first details for some of the game’s upcoming DLC on its official blog, and after reading what we’re in store for, I need to make my time in Boston more of a priority.

The company notes that fans have made Fallout 4 their ‘most successful title ever’ before going on to detail the game’s first set of add-ons:  Automatron, Wasteland Workshop and Far Harbor.

First up is Automatron, which is slated to release this March:

FO4_Add-On_Pack_v8-auto_1000

Fallout4_DLC_Automatron01

The mysterious Mechanist has unleashed a horde of evil robots into the Commonwealth, including the devious Robobrain. Hunt them down and harvest their parts to build and mod your own custom robot companions. Choose from hundreds of mods; mixing limbs, armor, abilities, and weapons like the all-new lightning chain gun. Even customize their paint schemes and choose their voices!

Automatron will cost a cool $9.99US.

April will see the release of the Wasteland Workshop, and it sounds freaking addicting already:

FO4_Add-On_Pack_wasteland_workshop_1000

Fallout4_DLC_WastelandWorkshop02

With the Wasteland Workshop, design and set cages to capture live creatures – from raiders to Deathclaws! Tame them or have them face off in battle, even against your fellow settlers. The Wasteland Workshop also includes a suite of new design options for your settlements like nixie tube lighting, letter kits, taxidermy and more!

Wasteland Workshop will cost just $4.99 US.

Finally, May will see the release of a big one: Far Harbor.

FO4_Add-On_Pack_far_harbor_1000

Fallout4_DLC_FarHarbor03

A new case from Valentine’s Detective Agency leads you on a search for a young woman and a secret colony of synths. Travel off the coast of Maine to the mysterious island of Far Harbor, where higher levels of radiation have created a more feral world. Navigate through the growing conflict between the synths, the Children of Atom, and the local townspeople. Will you work towards bringing peace to Far Harbor, and at what cost? Far Harbor features the largest landmass for an add-on that we’ve ever created, filled with new faction quests, settlements, lethal creatures and dungeons. Become more powerful with new, higher-level armor and weapons. The choices are all yours.

Far Harbor will net you $24.99 US.

These look gorgeous right down to that amazing cover art.

Planning on picking up any of this DLC? You’ll probably want to pick up the Season Pass ASAP, as Bethesda has expanded DLC plans for the title, and will be raising the pricing off the pass from $30 to $50US on March 1st. Here are the official details:

And more important, that this is only the beginning. We have plans for more. More than $60 worth of new Fallout adventures and features throughout 2016.

Given the expanded DLC plan, the price of the season pass will increase from the current $29.99 to $49.99 USD (£24.99 to £39.99 GBP; $49.95 to $79.95 AUD) on March 1, 2016. However, if you already purchased the season pass for $29.99, nothing changes – you still get everything at no additional cost— the full $60 offering of add-on content for the original price of $29.99. In addition, if you didn’t buy the season pass yet, there is still time: anyone who buys the Season Pass for $29.99 before March 1st will get all $60 worth of content. This is our way of saying thanks to all our loyal fans who have believed in us and supported us over the years.

That leaves you two weeks to get the Season Pass at the current rate.

TwoWeeks

Which DLC are you most excited for? What has been your favourite part of the Wasteland thus far? Be sure to sound out below!

Briefly: Kiss Kiss Bang Bang was actually pretty cool, but I have a hard time thinking about anything other than Iron Man 3 when I think of director Shane Black.

Somehow, I was unaware that Black had been tapped to direct the next Predator film, and while I’ll definitely reserve judgement until I see the feature, I just hope that it doesn’t feel like a weird, crappy buddy cop comedy (or like any sort of comedy, really).

The very first teaser image for the sequel has just hit the web, noting a probably title of The Predator (having just one Predator again would be freaking awesome), and that ‘You’ll never see him coming’. The script is coming from RoboCop 3 writer Fred Dekker.

The project is still shrouded in mystery (or some sort of cloaking device) at this point, but we’ll be sure to share more The Predator news as soon as it hits the web. For now, take a look at the teaser image below, and be sure to let us know what you think!

Briefly: Rian Johnson’s Star Wars: Episode VIII is now filming.

Disney revealed the news today, noting new cast members, and showing off a quick teaser that features Rey and Luke together once again (right where we left them). It certainly had me reminiscing about The Force Awakens, and had me wondering if I should be headed to one last IMAX showing before the film leaves theatres.

The company also revealed that Academy Award winner Benicio Del Toro, Academy Award nominee Laura Dern, and newcomer Kelly Marie Tran have joined the project.

As a huge fan of Johnson’s Brick and Looper, I could not be more excited for Star Wars: Episode VIII. Hell, after simply watching The Force Awakens, I could not be more excited for Episode VIII. Take a look at the teaser and full announcement below, and let us know who you’d like to see the new talent portray!

Star Wars: Episode VIII hits theatres on December 15th, 2017 (because of that delay, remember)!

Rey took her first steps into a larger world in Star Wars: The Force Awakens and will continue her epic journey with Finn, Poe, and Luke Skywalker in the next chapter of the continuing Star Wars saga, Star Wars: Episode VIII, which began principal photography at Pinewood Studios in London on February 15, 2016.

Star Wars: Episode VIII, which is written and directed by Rian Johnson and continues the storylines introduced in Star Wars: The Force Awakens, welcomes back cast members Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, Adam Driver, Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, Lupita Nyong’o, Domhnall Gleeson, Anthony Daniels, Gwendoline Christie, and Andy Serkis.  New cast members will include Academy Award winner Benicio Del Toro, Academy Award nominee Laura Dern, and talented newcomer Kelly Marie Tran.

Star Wars: Episode VIII is produced by Kathleen Kennedy and Ram Bergman and executive produced by J.J. Abrams, Jason McGatlin, and Tom Karnowski. Joining the production crew will be some of the industry’s top talent, including Steve Yedlin (Director of Photography), Bob Ducsay (Editor), Rick Heinrichs (Production Designer), Peter Swords King (Hair and Make-Up Designer), and Mary Vernieu (US Casting Director). They will be joining returning crew members Pippa Anderson (Co-Producer, VP Post Production), Neal Scanlan (Creature & Droid FX Creative Supervisor), Michael Kaplan (Costume Designer), Jamie Wilkinson (Prop Master), Chris Corbould (SFX Supervisor), Rob Inch (Stunt Coordinator), Ben Morris (VFX Supervisor), and Nina Gold (UK Casting Director).

Star Wars: Episode VIII is scheduled for release December 15, 2017

Briefly: Last week, Telltale Games finally let us know just when we’ll be getting our dirty mitts on the first episode of their The Walking Dead: Michonne miniseries, and last night the company debuted the first six minutes of the anticipated title.

In the upcoming first episode, entitled ‘In Too Deep’, “Michonne joins Pete and his crew on the sailing ship The Companion as they cruise the coast for survivors and supplies. When a desperate signal for help draws them to a scene of horrific massacre, Michonne and the crew are lead further to the floating survivors’ colony of Monroe, which may just be harboring the person responsible for the carnage.”

The Walking Dead: Michonne will debut on PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One on February 23rd, with a release on iOS and Android devices on February 25th. The entire miniseries will cost a cool $14.99 US on all platforms.

Take a look at the game’s opening below, and be sure to let us know if you’ll be playing!

Briefly: Wow.

Finally, Netflix has released the full trailer for Daredevil‘s second season (after giving us the release date last month, and teasing us late last year).

This trailer gives us a fantastic look at Jon Bernthal’s (which looks as though it could be a Shane-eclipsing performance for Bernthal, and I cannot freaking wait to binge watch this one (and for Jonathan and Ian Kerner to break the season down).

Take a look at the trailer below, and let us know how many episodes you’ll be watching on March 18th!

Briefly: Yesterday gave us our best look at Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice yet via the film’s final trailer, and today Warner Bros. debuted three slick new promo photos for the anticipated feature.

Two of the images feature… well, Batman v. Superman, while the third image features a somber-looking Bruce standing atop some rubble.

In the film, “fearing the actions of a god-like Super Hero left unchecked, Gotham City’s own formidable, forceful vigilante takes on Metropolis’s most revered, modern-day savior, while the world wrestles with what sort of hero it really needs.  And with Batman and Superman at war with one another, a new threat quickly arises, putting mankind in greater danger than it’s ever known before.”

Take a look at the images below, and be sure to let us you if you’re looking forward to the feature! Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice hits theatres on March 25th!

Briefly: How did I not hear about this until just now?

Yeah, being a 90’s kid, H.R. Pufnstuf was not often (if ever) mentioned during my childhood. In fact, I didn’t really learn about the character or its impact until I was a full grown man.

At last year’s San Diego Comic-Con, character creators (well, actually they created a lot of our favourite childhood properties) Sid and Marty Krofft had a stellar interview with our own Eric Francisco about, among other things, their popular Nick Jr. series Mutt and Stuff.

Well, this coming Monday, the legendary character, who predates both of my parents, is making a triumphant return to television… at least for a day.

See, the series is set in a unique school for dogs, and has Calvin Millan interacting with a cast of real dogs and puppets. One those puppets is Calvin’s canine best friend Stuff, who it turns out is H.R.’s nephew.

It’s bound to be freaking adorable. I wonder how many viewers outside of Mutt and Stuff‘s typical age bracket will be tuning in to this one.

The special episode, “Pufnstuf Visits Mutt & Stuff” airs Monday, 2/15 at 10 am ET on Nickelodeon. Let us know if you’ll be watching!

Briefly: New York Toy Fair is finally just a couple of days away, and though I’ll be thousands and thousands of miles away from the action, I can’t wait to see what all of my favourite toymakers have to show off.

One of this Summer’s biggest features, Duncan Jones’ Warcraft is set to have a huge presence at the convention, and Toy Fair attendees can expect to see new additions to the range from ThinkGeek, Just Funky and Funko. Additionally, master toy partner Jakks Pacific will host a special presentation of the Warcraft line ahead of its upcoming Toys “R” Us launch scheduled for March 2016.

Jamie Kampel, Vice President, Licensing & Partnerships at Legendary notes that “The Warcraft universe represents one of the most passionate fandoms in the world. The products and collectibles that will be on display at Toy Fair not only capture the essence of the magical worlds that inspired them but the sheer depth of the range creates must-have items for even the most discerning Warcraft fans.”

We’ve got a sweet sneak peak at one of the upcoming Funko Pop! (booth 4805) figures, as well as some of Jakk’s Pacific’s (booth 1135) gorgeous Warcraft figurines. At the show, Think Geek (booth 3015) will showcase a range that includes watches, wall décor, caps, backpacks and stylish loungewear inspired by the Warcraft film, Just Funky (booth 4963) will be showing off novelty tumblers, mugs, water bottles and decorative coasters perfect for the grog of your choosing.

Mostly, it sounds like a lot of stuff that I’d like to own. Take a look at a few of the images below, and be sure to let us know what you think! New York resident? Planning to head to the New York Toy Fair?

This season the series will actually develop the plot further than the released books have, due to the latest delay for George RR Martin’s The Winds of Winter. Those who have followed the novels, will you be watching the series this year knowing it will spoil the plot of the next book? Be sure to sound out in the comments below!

Briefly: Quantum Break is the reason that I bought an Xbox One (well, that I bought an Xbox One for the second time).

Remedy Entertainment’s previous endeavor, Alan Wake, was one of my favourite titles of last-generation, and as such it would be impossible for me to ignore such a striking, unique-looking title.

Today, Microsoft debuted a brand-new, awesome trailer for the title, and also revealed some other exciting Quantum Break news. First up, trailer time:

https://youtu.be/d4or8YE-6P4

Yeah, we know. It looks cool as hell.

Well, the Quantum Break package just got better. Every copy of Quantum Break for Xbox One will come with a full-game download for Alan Wake for Xbox 360, plus its two add-on packs, The Signal and The Writer. Better yet, pre-order the title, and you’ll also get a copy of Alan Wake: American Nightmare.

Microsoft has also revealed that the game will launch on Windows 10 day and date with the Xbox One version of the title. The company notes that they want customers to “play the games they want with the people they want on the devices they want,” so pre-ordering the title will also net you a free Windows 10 version of the anticipated title.

Of course, for those of you that haven’t yet jumped on the Xbox One bandwagon, Microsoft will be offering a new Xbox One bundle,  featuring a 500GB Cirrus White console and matching wireless controller, a full-game download of Quantum Break and a full-game download of Alan Wake accompanied by The Signal and The Writer add-on packs.

Quantum Break aims to offer an extremely “unique experience; one part hard-hitting video game, one part thrilling live action show, featuring a stellar cast, including Shawn Ashmore (“X-Men”) as the hero Jack Joyce, Aidan Gillen (“Game of Thrones”) as his nemesis Paul Serene and Dominic Monaghan (“Lord of the Rings”) as Jack’s genius brother, William. Quantum Break is full of the vivid storytelling, rich characters and dramatic twists Remedy Entertainment are renowned for. Your choices in-game will affect the outcome of this fast-paced fusion between game and show giving the player a completely unique entertainment experience.”

Damn, I cannot wait to play this game. Are you looking forward to picking it up? Sound out below!

Briefly: Can you believe that it’s nearly here?

Yep, we’re just over one month away from the heavily anticipated release of Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice, and Warner Bros. has just released an intense final trailer for the upcoming feature.

This is probably the best look at the film we’ve seen thus far, and at this point I simply can’t wait to line-up on March 25th. Take a look at the trailer below, and let us know what you think!

Briefly: Finally.

We’ve been eagerly anticipating Telltale Games’ The Walking Dead: Michonne miniseries since it was announced all the way back at E3, and the publisher has finally let us know just when we’ll be able to experience the first episode.

The game’s first chapter, titled ‘In Too Deep’ will debut on PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One on February 23rd, with a release on iOS and Android devices on February 25th. The entire miniseries will cost a cool $14.99 US on all platforms.

The next episode, ‘Give No Shelter,’ will follow in March, and the miniseries will conclude with ‘What We Deserve,’ in April.

Here’s what Michonne is all about:

Stepping into the lead role of Michonne, award-winning actress Samira Wiley (Orange is the New Black) will portray the iconic character from the comic book series haunted by her past and coping with unimaginable loss and regret. The story explores her untold journey during the time between issues #126 and #139. Through this three-episode Telltale Games series, players will discover what took Michonne away from Rick, Ezekiel, and the rest of her trusted group… and what brought her back.

In the first episode,  “Michonne joins Pete and his crew on the sailing ship The Companion as they cruise the coast for survivors and supplies. When a desperate signal for help draws them to a scene of horrific massacre, Michonne and the crew are lead further to the floating survivors’ colony of Monroe, which may just be harboring the person responsible for the carnage.”

Itching to see more? Fans can head to YouTube Games on Sunday February 14th at 8:30pm EST / 5:30pm PST, where Telltale will be showing off the first five minutes of the anticipated title.

Telltale has just debuted a few new screens for Michonne, which you can take a look at below! Are you looking forward to the series? Be sure to let us know!

Briefly: Deadpool is still three days away from theatres (check out our review here), and apparently Fox has already begun work on a sequel.

The news comes from THR, which notes that Deadpool is tracking for a minimum weekend gross of 65 million.

No word on whether or not director TJ Miller will return, but Deadpool screenwriters Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick will also pen the script for the sequel.

It’s still pretty freaking amazing that Deadpool was made at all, and now it’s incredible that the film hasn’t even released yet, and that Fox already wants a sequel.

Deadpool opens on February 12th!

Briefly: It’s about time.

Xbox One owners everywhere have been waiting patiently (or impatiently) for official news on Rocket League‘s Xbox release since its platform expansion was announced back in December.

Today, the game’s Xbox One launch date was finally revealed.

The game will hit Xbox One of February 16th for a beyond worth-it $19.99US. As a bonus (as you Xbox One owners had to wait for so long), the game will include three of the previously-released DLC packs:

-“Supersonic Fury” – Two Premium Battle-Cars, 12 Decals, 5 Paint types, 2 Rocket Trails, 2 Wheels

-“Revenge of the Battle-Cars” – Two Premium Battle-Cars, 12 Decals, 3 Paint types, 2 Rocket Trails, 2 Wheels, 4 Toppers, 2 Antennas

– “Chaos Run” – Two Premium Battle-Cars, 12 Decals, 2 Wheels, 2 Rocket Trails, 3 Toppers, 3 Antennas

Xbox One players will also receive a couple of exclusive vehicles, like the Armadillo from Gears of War, and the Warthog from Halo.

I know plenty of people who have been dying to play the title, and after spending some time with the PS4 version, it’s easy to see why. Are you planning to pick up the Xbox of the game? Be sure to sound out below!
