What we originally thought would be a shoe in role for Vin Diesel is no more. Marvel has found their Black Bolt for the Inhumans TV Series.

Anson Mount, known for his role as Cullen Bohannon on AMC’s Hell on Wheels.  For those not aware of what’s happening with Inhumans still, here’s a quick rundown. Marvel will release a TV Series based off Inhumans this Fall. The first 2 episodes will be released in limited release in IMAX this September, and will then continue on ABC. Are you interested in this series? Who would you have casted as Black Bolt? Tell us in the comments below!

Briefly: I don’t know how this one slipped under my radar for so long, but Sully looks fantastic.

A new IMAX trailer for the film, which was apparently shot almost entirely on IMAX cameras, has just hit the web, and is a tense as hell look at the anticipated film, which also features an interview segment with cast and crew.

Seriously though, this trailer is intense, and I can’t wait to see the insane-looking Hudson River scene on the big big screen.

On January 15, 2009, the world witnessed the “Miracle on the Hudson” when Captain “Sully” Sullenberger (Hanks) glided his disabled plane onto the frigid waters of the Hudson River, saving the lives of all 155 aboard. However, even as Sully was being heralded by the public and the media for his unprecedented feat of aviation skill, an investigation was unfolding that threatened to destroy his reputation and his career.

Take a look at the trailer below, and let us know what you think! Sully hits theatres on September 9th!

Briefly: We’re finally just a few weeks away from the anticipated (and special feature-filled) Blu-Ray release of Deadpool, and Fox has just debuted a fantastic new featurette detailing just how much work went into crafting the titular character’s impressive mask.

Seriously, you’d never believe how freaking complicated this thing is.

Watch the featurette below, and be sure to let us know if you plan to pick up Deadpool on May 10th.

Crazy, right?

Briefly: Deadpool is still three days away from theatres (check out our review here), and apparently Fox has already begun work on a sequel.

The news comes from THR, which notes that Deadpool is tracking for a minimum weekend gross of 65 million.

No word on whether or not director TJ Miller will return, but Deadpool screenwriters Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick will also pen the script for the sequel.

It’s still pretty freaking amazing that Deadpool was made at all, and now it’s incredible that the film hasn’t even released yet, and that Fox already wants a sequel.

Deadpool opens on February 12th!

Briefly: The Super Bowl spots keep on coming!

This time around, it’s likely one of the last TV spots we’ll see for Deadpool, as the movie is just a few more days away, and we’ve already seen about a thousand different trailers and TV spots.

This time around, Mr. Pool tells us all about how he’s always wanted to be a pro-athlete.

Based upon Marvel Comics’ most unconventional anti-hero, DEADPOOL tells the origin story of former Special Forces operative turned mercenary Wade Wilson, who after being subjected to a rogue experiment that leaves him with accelerated healing powers, adopts the alter ego Deadpool. Armed with his new abilities and a dark, twisted sense of humor, Deadpool hunts down the man who nearly destroyed his life.

Take a look at the spot below, read our review of the film right here, and be sure to let us know if you’re excited for the film! Deadpool hits theatres this Friday!

Briefly: We’re finally just nine days away from the beyond anticipated release of Deadpool, and Fox has just debuted a new featurette for the film, digging into the tone, origin, and action of the anticipated feature.

With its long history, it’s still incredible to me that this film even exists, let alone that it’s now just nine days away. Take a look at the new featurette below, and be sure to let us know what you think! Deadpool hits theatres on February 12th!

Briefly: With just over a month to go until Transformers: Age of Extinction hits theatres, Paramount has finally unwrapped more of the film’s sure-to-be-coherent plot. They’ve kept things fairly under wraps so far, so it’s nice to actually learn a bit about the film before it releases.

I’ve hated on the film a lot so far, but this new preview actually makes it look like a pretty fun time. Take a look at the trailer below, and let us know what you think! Transformers: Age of Extinction hits theatres on June 27th!

Briefly: We’re just a few more weeks away from Transformers: Age Of Extinction‘s big release, and Paramount has just debuted a few new stills from the film.

We’ve got shots of both Bumblebee and Optimus Prime, and that shot of Prime on his knees looks pretty badass. I’m not overly excited for the film (I quit the series after the first), but these shots certainly look cool.

Take a look at the images below, and let us know what you think. Transformers: Age of Extinction hits theatres on June 27th!

Briefly: Following the IMAX poster from a few weeks back, Paramount has debuted a new one-sheet for this Summer’s Transformers: Age of Extinction.

The image looks to feature the same gigantic spaceship as the IMAX poster did, but instead of new character Lockdown looking cool and walking away calmly, we have human stars Mark Wahlberg and Nicola Peltz running for their lives.

Take a look at the poster below, watch the trailer here if you haven’t, and be sure to let us know if you’re looking forward to the film. Transformers: Age of Extinction releases on June 27th.

We at Geekscape have many a love; two of those are Transformers and badass theatrical posters. Last week we showed you the very mery Wahlberg character poster. Well now we got you all a brand new one.

Paramount just released this awesome looking poster for the IMAX release of Transformers: Age of Extinction. It features the new character Lockdown, the hot Aventador changing bounty hunter.

So scapists, who out there is excited for Transformers 4? We would love to hear your thoughts in the comments!

Damnit. I wish I wasn’t hours away from my nearest IMAX.

The FanFix poster series continues with this Summer’s release of Pacific Rim, and this poster may just be the best yet. The LA Times Hero Complex premiered the poster today, which was created by artist Sergio Grisanti. Pacific Rim director Guillermo Del Toro had this to say about the beautifully crafted image:

“I am thrilled to introduce Sergio Grisanti to the world. For years he has been a highly respected commercial artist. When I was first exposed to his art for ‘Pacific Rim,’ I knew instantly that he was a powerhouse of talent. He created the Jaeger posters/card art we used at WonderCon. Without any hesitation I asked him to create this new Imax Fanfix art. Look at it closely — with a magnifying glass! So much going on! Such power! Such beauty! Sergio loves his Kaijus and his Mecha, and it shows. The poster, like my film, is a tribute to well-loved things. I wish all the fans the best time at the first Imax screenings of ‘Pacific Rim.’ Enjoy!”

The poster will be given to attendees of Pacific Rim‘s first IMAX screenings. Head here to see if your local theatre is participating! Take a look at Sergio’s poster below, and let us know what you think!

When legions of monstrous creatures, known as Kaiju, started rising from the sea, a war began that would take millions of lives and consume humanity’s resources for years on end. To combat the giant Kaiju, a special type of weapon was devised: massive robots, called Jaegers, which are controlled simultaneously by two pilots whose minds are locked in a neural bridge. But even the Jaegers are proving nearly defenseless in the face of the relentless Kaiju. On the verge of defeat, the forces defending mankind have no choice but to turn to two unlikely heroes – a washed up former pilot (Charlie Hunnam) and an untested trainee (Rinko Kikuchi) – who are teamed to drive a legendary but seemingly obsolete Jaeger from the past. Together, they stand as mankind’s last hope against the mounting apocalypse.

Did you know that they were doing special screenings of J.J. Abrams Star Trek Into Darkness on May15th at 8pm? Well, if seeing the movie before everyone else wasn’t incentive enough, those in attendance will also be receiving a special limited edition print from Paramount, Bad Robot and Gallery 1988.

The origins are simple: reward the most avid IMAX fans with limited edition, collectible prints for select films. IMAX, together with our studio partners, engages some of the most celebrated artists to create unique art that is exclusively for IMAX moviegoers. We will be offering these prints at the earliest IMAX showings to reward those who see it first!

We’re excited and honored to collaborate with Paramount Pictures, Bad Robot and Gallery 1988 to unveil the first edition in the series: a special Star Trek Into Darkness print from artist Mark Englert. Fans attending the 8pm IMAX show on Wednesday, May 15th at participating locations will receive this original print.

Remember when Warner Bros. released the IMAX prologue for The Dark Knight Rises last winter and everyone freaked out about how muffled Bane’s voice was? Of course you remember, we all remember! Geeks don’t forget these type of things. Well check out this video which shows Bane’s voice from the prologue versus his redubbed voice for the final release.

So what do you think? Was the final version better, worse, or should they have found a middle ground between the two? Let the mphmpmh mphmphpm! Wait, what?

Revisit the entire journey up until ‘The Dark Knight Rises’ with this new trailer. The trailer reminds us that there really isn’t anything out there quite like Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight Saga.
