Decisions, decisions.

As I sat in front of my television waiting for 400 Days to download from the Playstation Store, I thought I knew exactly what Telltale had in store for us: there’d be some new characters, some new drama, and some uncomfortable decisions, but there was no way that it would be able to match the level of intensity of the game’s seven-month-long first season. Apparently, I had no idea what I was really in for.

The board of survivors, again, playable in any order.
The board of survivors, again, playable in any order.

The Walking Dead: 400 Days takes a stark departure from the linearity of the previous chapters. As the game opens, you’ll have to make your first intriguing, yet tough decision: whose story will you play first? See, instead of following a few characters through a lengthy set of episodes, 400 Days offers five separate, short tales, beginning with a story just two days after the initial outbreak, and closing with an epilogue, fittingly 400 days into the zombie apocalypse.

That first choice is one of the most incredible and defining aspects of 400 Days. Each character’s journey is completely separate, yet oddly connected (there’s even a connection to events in Season One). The order that you play them in can and will drastically change the way you feel about characters, locations, and events that you experience later in the game. And what memorable events they are! Each character’s story in the DLC, be it Vince, Wyatt, Russell, Bonnie, or Shel, features events that will change you, decisions that you will question for days, and moments that will haunt you until Season Two releases this fall. The nail-biting intensity and “so nerve wracking that I need to pause or take a break” moments from every episode of the game’s first season are back in full force here.

I'm getting chills just thinking about this scene.
I’m getting chills just thinking about this scene.

The fact that these moments hold such weight is a true testament to Telltale’s consistent quality of writing and direction. Because 400 Days has so many stories to tell, each section’s playtime is astoundingly short. We spend only 20-30 minutes with each character, with someone’s life or well being in jeopardy for the bulk of that time, and yet I feel as though I’ve already had the opportunity to come to know each and every one of our new survivors. I’m still asking myself how that’s even possible, but Telltale’s writing ability is really what shines here, where character’s traits, hopes, fears, skills, past lives, and more are all revealed subtly, satisfyingly, and sometimes heartbreakingly, exactly when they need to be. I’ve said time and time again that Telltale’s The Walking Dead has featured some of gaming’s best writing, possibly ever, and 400 Days definitely keeps with that trend. I don’t want to give away too much, but again, the Telltale team does an exceptional job of putting you immediately in the shoes of characters who are both incredibly diverse and find themselves in incredibly diverse situations, like playing Roshambo to decide who checks outside the car for a possible survivor or pulling the trigger on another human being in order to maintain the safety of the group. The situations become so stressful to navigate that our Editor in Chief Jonathan told me he and his wife Laura had to start flipping a coin just to continue making decisions.

I have a great deal of praise to give 400 Days, but like all things in life, nothing is perfect. The PS3 version of the DLC, as with all previous chapters, plays host to a myriad of technical issues (I can’t comment on technical issues on other platforms). This time however, things were even worse: constant framerate drops, a lot of out-of-sync audio, and a consistently choppy camera actually had me concerned for my console’s health.

It's hard to say whose story was the most intense.
It’s hard to say whose story was the most intense.

Of course, as incredible and intense as these miniature tales manage to be, it’s simply impossible for them to match the cripplingly emotional tale of Lee, Clementine, and the other stars of season one. Our previous journey was seven months long, with hours upon hours of gameplay, countless tough decisions, and more moments of despair than any gamer should ever have to go through. At times, 400 Days simply feels paltry in comparison. Each tale could act as an extended scene of a bigger episode, and I think that it’s safe to say that all of us would love to play through these stories in their entirety.

That may lead to the most important and exciting aspect of 400 Days: what on Earth will come next? We’re nearly halfway through the Summer now, with Telltale set to begin a second season in the fall. Could 400 Days act as an introduction to our next group of survivors? I almost feel as though it has to. If not, why would the developer create a new batch of amazingly real, relatable characters if we were only meant to spend a few minutes with each of them? And how does 400 Days continue to connect to Season One? Could our new group meet up with a hardened and alone Clementine? Could our choices from the game’s first season affect the character that Clementine has become?

Clementine ranks among video gaming's best characters... ever.
Clementine ranks among video gaming’s best characters… ever.

If this insanely dramatic and intense DLC chapter is a direct prologue for what’s next, then 400 Days is one hell of a start, and season two of Telltale’s The Walking Dead could easily follow in season one’s footsteps, and be one of the best games of the year. Whatever platform you’re playing on, The Walking Dead: 400 Days is well worth the $4.99 asking price. As soon as the credits roll you’ll be dying to begin the experience again. If not, you’ll simply be spending days wondering what could have happened had you made that other decision.

The Walking Dead: 400 Days scores a cool 4/5. If you’re already a fan of Telltale’s Walking Dead series, give it a download immediately. If not, begin with episode one: A New Day, and brace yourself…

Briefly: Back in June, the first trailer for a Pacific Rim mobile game debuted online. Today, Jukes Interactive released a teaser for an Xbox 360 version. I had no idea that Pacific Rim: The Video Game was anything but a mobile title, but apparently the game is set to hit both PS3 and Xbox 360 on July 12th!

Like most licensed games, Pacific Rim: The Video Game isn’t looking so hot at this point. I hope that the title has a lot of personality, because the graphics are terrible.

Take a look at the teaser below, and let us know if you’ll be picking it up!

The holiday weekend means that news is slow (well, essentially non-existent), but Warner Bros. Animation has just released a trio of cool new stills from the upcoming release of Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox.

DC readers are bound to be familiar with the events of Flashpoint, the acclaimed event that launched DC’s New 52 and rebooted the entire DC Universe. The animated adaptation features Justin Chambers as Barry Allen, Kevin McKidd as Batman, Michael B Jordan as Cyborg and C. Thomas Howell as Reverse Flash. Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox is set to premiere at SDCC on July 19th, and will hit DVD/Blu Ray on July 30th.

Take a look at the new stills below, and let us know what you think! Miss the trailer? Watch it here!

Just one more week of waiting until Pacific Rim finally hits theatres, and Warner Bros. has just released another two TV spots for the film. Just like the rest of the world, I really can’t wait to get in line for this one.

The spots are titled “Classified” and ” Fight Critics”. Each features some new footage, and does a damn good job of further exciting me for the picture. Take a look at each new preview below, and let us know what you think!

After Pacific Rim’s world premiere just a few days ago, Twitter buzz for the film has been very steady. The bulk of it seems extremely positive, which is exactly what I was hoping for. Check out some prominent quotes about the movie below, and be sure to let us know how excited you are. Pacific Rim hits theatres next Friday, July 12th.

Sounds pretty good, huh?

Following the new poster unveiled just a few days back, Vin Diesel has just debuted the first TV spot for Riddick.

The spot is light on plot, and very heavy on action. We get a great look at some of the mercenaries hunting our anti-hero, as well as some of the creatures he’ll be facing in the film.

Riddick hits theatres and IMAX on September 6th, and looks absolutely fantastic. Watch the first TV spot below, and let us know if you’re excited!

http://youtu.be/r1JDUWTXyeo

The infamous Riddick has been left for dead on a sun-scorched planet that appears to be lifeless. Soon, however, he finds himself fighting for survival against alien predators more lethal than any human he’s encountered. The only way off is for Riddick to activate an emergency beacon and alert mercenaries who rapidly descend to the planet in search of their bounty.

The first ship to arrive carries a new breed of merc, more lethal and violent, while the second is captained by a man whose pursuit of Riddick is more personal. With time running out and a storm on the horizon that no one could survive, his hunters won’t leave the planet without Riddick’s head as their trophy

This is terrible.

Back in February, Texas teen Justin Carter made an albeit stupid, violent, and disrespectful joke during a match of League of Legends, stating ‘Oh yeah, I’m real messed up in the head, I’m going to go shoot up a school full of kids and eat their still, beating hearts,’  before following-up with ‘Lol, JK.’

Long story short, an individual later saw the comment, called the police, and Justin was charged with “making a terrorist threat.”

Justin Carter has been in jail since March for the comment. He just celebrated his 19th birthday behind bars, and could be facing up to eight more years in prison depending on how things go.

Justin’s father believes that Justin had no idea the implications of his words, stating: “Justin was the kind of kid who didn’t read the newspaper. He didn’t watch television. He wasn’t aware of current events. These kids, they don’t realize what they’re doing. They don’t understand the implications. They don’t understand.”

A petition to release Justin has been launched at Change.org, and currently hosts over 50’000 signatures. All of us at Geekscape implore you to take a few short minutes, and add your name to that list. We’ll keep you updated as we learn more about Justin’s absurd situation.

Can you believe that The Walking Dead is almost ten years old?

During yesterday’s Image Expo, The Walking Dead co-creator Robert Kirkman outlined some fantastic plans for the future of the series, and things really start to kick off during the franchise’s anniversary month this October.

First, it’s All Out War. A new 12 issue arc beginning with issue #115 brings The Walking Dead bi-weekly. Whether you side with Rick Grimes’ “Survivors,” Jesus’s “Hilltop,” Negan’s “Saviors,” or Ezekiel’s “Kingdom,” this is certainly a war that you won’t want to miss.

Next up is a very special, full colour rerelease of The Walking Dead‘s premiere issue. Award-winning colourist Dave Stewart is tackling the important task of colouring Tony Moore’s classic artwork. Regardless of how many are printed, you know that this one will sell out completely.

Last, but not least. October will see the release of The Walking Dead: Tyreese Special, which will again reintroduce us to the character with a reprint of his first appearance (all the way back in issue #7), and a reprint of his Free Comic Book Day origin story.

Preview images have not yet been released, but we’ll be sure to share as soon as they’re unveiled! Are you looking forward to All Out War?

Survivors

That didn’t last long.

Damian Wayne suffered a pretty horrific death in Batman Inc. #8 back in February, but that doesn’t mean that we won’t be seeing him around.

A new Damnian Wayne centric miniseries titled Damnian: Son of Batman is set to launch this October. The four issue series is written and illustrated by Andy Kubert, and heads into a future where Damian survives and eventually takes on the role of Batman.

Whether Damian permanently returns following the series is still unknown, but of course it wouldn’t be the first time that a character came back from the dead.

In speaking to the New York Post, Kubert States “I had a big affinity for Damian when I drew Batman issue #666 (in 2007). I really liked that Batman and always wanted to revisit him. Damian is a bit different than the ‘Bruce Wayne’ Batman. Grant Morrison tweaked his character in a way that made it very endearing for me to draw. And to write. Basically, what I’m doing is exploring the path that Damian has taken to become Batman. I think readers will see him in a different light than before.”

The first issue of Damian: Son of Batman  will release on October 30th. Take a look at some key art for the series below, and let us know if you’ll be adding it to your pull list!

Following the teaser trailer released all the way back in February, Sony has just debuted the theatrical trailer for their upcoming animated feature, Cloudy With A Chance of Meatballs 2.

The sequel to the hilarious 2009 feature is looking very good, and follows the gang from the first movie on their return to Swallow Falls. It looks almost like a Jurassic Park situation, with Flint and friends returning home to discover their island overrun by the food creatures created in the first film. They arrive with the intention of shutting down the FLRDSMDFR and clearing out all of the now-alive (and occasionally evil) food, but who knows what will happen when they see what’s in store for them!

I found myself laughing out loud throughout the trailer: I was a big fan of the first film in 2009, and I can’t wait to see what comes next! Watch the new trailer below, and let us know what you think! Cloudy With A Chance of Meatballs 2 hits theatres on September 27th!

In the wake of the disastrous food storm at the end of the first movie, Flint Lockwood and friends are forced to leave their town of Swallow Falls.  But when it is discovered that sentient food beasts have overrun the island, they are asked to return to save the world…again.

Pacific Rim hits theatres in just over a week, and Warner Bros. is certainly giving this original film the marketing push that it deserves. A multitude of new posters and clips have been released in recent days, and the studio has just debut a fantatic, epic final trailer for the feature.

You know full well how excited we are for Pacific Rim to release, so we won’t waste any more time telling you how incredible it looks. Watch the final trailer below, watch last week’s Geekscape featuring Pacific Rim creator Travis Beacham, and let us know how excited you are!

When legions of monstrous creatures, known as Kaiju, started rising from the sea, a war began that would take millions of lives and consume humanity’s resources for years on end. To combat the giant Kaiju, a special type of weapon was devised: massive robots, called Jaegers, which are controlled simultaneously by two pilots whose minds are locked in a neural bridge. But even the Jaegers are proving nearly defenseless in the face of the relentless Kaiju. On the verge of defeat, the forces defending mankind have no choice but to turn to two unlikely heroes – a washed up former pilot (Charlie Hunnam) and an untested trainee (Rinko Kikuchi) – who are teamed to drive a legendary but seemingly obsolete Jaeger from the past. Together, they stand as mankind’s last hope against the mounting apocalypse.

Briefly: Sci-Fi fans, you’re favourite alien drama is sticking around for at least one more year.

That’s right! Noah Wyle may have led some of us to believe that the series was coming to a close with his ominous quote a few days back: “As opposed to some of the other seasons where we’ve ended on a cliffhanger. This [finale] has more of a sense of closure, and completion.” But you can rest easy, as Falling Skies has just been renewed for a fourth season.

The Steven Spielberg produced drama actually ranks as the #1 drama on basic cable, so in that sense, the renewal is no surprise. The ten episode fourth season will premiere in Summer 2014!

Are you keeping up with the show? What have you thought of Season 3 so far?

Briefly: We’ve already seen Bumblebee’s new look for Transformers 4, but Michael Bay’s latest preview would suggest that the character may be getting an overhaul at some point in the film.

While the old image showed off a customized 1967 Camaro, the new vehicle is a 2014 concept Camaro… I guess Bumblebee at least has a preference of model, huh?

Take a look at the new vehicle below, and let us know what you think! Transformers 4 hits theatres on June 27th, 2014!

Briefly: Hail to the chief!

It doesn’t make up for the fact that the film has been delayed, but director Robert Rodriguez has just debuted a bad-ass new poster for Machete Kills.

This one features Charlie Sheen (credited using his real name, Carlos Estevez) as… the president of the United States! Take a look at the new poster (and head here for the trailer), and let us know if you’re excited for the movie. Machete Kills hits theatres October 4th!

Machete

In MACHETE KILLS, Danny Trejo returns as ex-Federale agent MACHETE, who is recruited by the President of the United States for a mission which would be impossible for any mortal man – he must take down a madman revolutionary and an eccentric billionaire arms dealer who has hatched a plan to spread war and anarchy.

Our pals at Fanboy Comics have just announced a new original graphic novel.

The upcoming project, The Arcs was written and created by Michael D. Poisson, and features artwork from The Boys Matt Jacobs and lettering from The Molting‘s Oceano Ransford.

This book sounds incredible, and I cannot wait to see how it turns out. Here’s a short synopsis for The Arcs:

After God has abandoned Earth, the seven Archangels are forced to protect humanity against the rising legions of Hell. Can they pull themselves together to defeat Lucifer and his demons, or are they destined to suffer their own fall from grace?

The Arcs will launch in November 2013, but a free preview will be available on the book’s official site beginning Friday, July 12th.

If you’re headed to SDCC this year, things get even better. An exclusive, full-colour The Arcs print will be available at the convention, which will include a free digital copy of the full graphic novel.

Take a look at the cover art for The Arcs below, and let us know if you’ll be picking it up!

Headed to SDCC this year and planning to see an awesome panel for The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug? Too bad… there won’t be one. Director Peter Jackson has just released a new production diary for the film, and it began with some seriously somber news: everyone involved with the picture is simply too busy to attend.

The diary continues, and is pretty much exactly what you’d expect: an awesome behind-the-scenes look at The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug. This of course doesn’t make up for the fact that they won’t be at SDCC, but hey, you only have to wait five more months for the feature to release.

Watch the new production diary below, and let us know if you’re disappointed! The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug hits theatres on December 13th!

The Pacific Rim marketing just keeps coming! Less than one day after two new character posters were revealed for the film, Warner Bros. has released another two posters, plus a new clip to further excite you for the coming epic.

The first poster features Australian Jaeger Striker Eureka, while the second spotlights ‘Category 4’ Kaiju Leatherback. The new clip look similar to footage we’ve seen in the recent trailers, but looks like the setup for an intense battle.

Take a look at everything below, and let us know what you think! Pacific Rim hits theatres on July 12th! The movie’s screenwriter, Travis Beacham, was just a guest on Geekscape!

The video is kind of awful (and beyond awkward), but seeing as it reveals plenty of The Walking Dead: 400 Days info, it’s definitely worth the watch.

Telltale’s upcoming DLC for 2012’s best game is coming sooner than you’d expect. In a new episode of ‘Playing Dead’, the developer has revealed that The Walking Dead: 400 Days will launch for a cool $4.99 in early July.

The video reveals that 400 Days is set after the conclusion of the game’s first season, and is not directly related to the content that you’ve already played. A season one playthrough is not required to understand the chapter, but those who have completed the game will feel “familiar”, and get a better understanding of exactly what’s going on.

The most exciting part of the video (for me, at least), is not the info on the DLC, but a small revelation about The Walking Dead: Season Two400 Days director Sean Answorth states that “[We’re] trying not to do the same thing. I mean, that’s what season two is for, right? I mean, we’re going to go into season two, and continue the story started in season one.”

Could the story of Lee and Clementine continue? Telltale’s The Walking Dead is one of the most incredible, emotional gaming experiences I’ve ever had the pleasure of playing (second only to the just released The Last of Us… maybe), and I would do almost anything to learn the future of these characters.

Watch the newest episode of ‘Playing Dead’ below, and let us know if you’re excited for the DLC!

UPDATE: Release dates have been revealed! IGN has learned the launch dates for The Walking Dead: 400 Days. Check them out below.

-Tuesday, July 2nd – PlayStation Network (North America)
-Wednesday, July 3rd – PC/Mac (Steam, Telltale Games Store)
-Friday, July 5th – Xbox Live (Worldwide)
-Wednesday, July 10th – PlayStation Network (Europe)
-Thursday, July 11th – iOS (Worldwide)

We’re beyond excited for the release. Luckily, I’m a PS3 player… now I just need to find the time to play! Which platform will you be playing on?

Briefly: The Walking Dead is yet again set to take San Diego Comic Con by storm, and AMC has just unveiled an enticing new banner for the series’ next season.

The banner spotlights a hammer-weilding Tyreese, a cool and collected (finally) Rick, Daryl with extra-long hair, and Michonne on a horse, which begs the question: how the hell are there still trained horses alive?

The fourth season of The Walking Dead premieres on AMC this October. An SDCC panel has been set for Friday, July 19th, so I’m sure the first trailer will debut online shortly afterwards. Take a look at the new banner below, and let us know if you’re excited for the new season (and also how much last year’s finale stunk)!

UPDATE: TVLine has learned the title of the season’s premiere episode. The episode is written by current showrunner (and season three saviour) Scott Gimple, and is called ’30 Days Without An Accident’. Maybe things have been going alright for our survivors now that The Governor has taken off?

Following the IMAX poster revealed just last week, Universal has just unveiled a new poster for their upcoming sci-fi, Riddick.

The new one-sheet is a simple image of the man himself atop an absolutely badass tagline: ‘Survival Is His Revenge’. Of course, it reveals nothing new about the still-mysterious film, but simply lets us know that Riddick‘s release is fast approaching.

Take a look at the new poster below, and let us know if you’re excited for the film!

RiddickNew

The infamous Riddick has been left for dead on a sun-scorched planet that appears to be lifeless. Soon, however, he finds himself fighting for survival against alien predators more lethal than any human he’s encountered. The only way off is for Riddick to activate an emergency beacon and alert mercenaries who rapidly descend to the planet in search of their bounty.

The first ship to arrive carries a new breed of merc, more lethal and violent, while the second is captained by a man whose pursuit of Riddick is more personal. With time running out and a storm on the horizon that no one could survive, his hunters won’t leave the planet without Riddick’s head as their trophy.

We’re just a few weeks away from the highly anticipated release of The Wolverine, and Fox has just launched a new featurette promoting the film.

Titled “A Ronin Story”, the featurette begins by explaining just what a Ronin story is, and subsequently why The Wolverine fits in the genre. The video features plenty of exciting new footage for the film, and I actually found the scenes shown off here more exciting than any other preview that we’ve already seen.

I wasn’t overly excited for The Wolverine when the first trailer debuted online, but the film’s current marketing (plus those amazing sumi-e posters) are all really amping me up for the feature. Watch the new featurette below, and let us know what you think! The Wolverine hits theatres on July 26th!

Based on the celebrated comic book arc, this epic action-adventure takes Wolverine (Jackman), the most iconic character of the X-Men universe, to modern day Japan. Out of his depth in an unknown world he will face a host of unexpected and deadly opponents in a life-or-death battle that will leave him forever changed. Vulnerable for the first time and pushed to his physical and emotional limits, he confronts not only lethal samurai steel but also his inner struggle against his own immortality. Directed By James Mangold, The Wolverine hits theaters in 2D & 3D on July 26, 2013.

Briefly: It’s not information about the upcoming Bioshock Infinite DLC, but it’s the next best thing: information on when we’ll get that information.

Joystiq has learned that the first DLC will be unveiled in late July. Three DLC packs have been planned in total: each will cost you a cool $9.99 (unless you pick up the $19.99 season pass), and all three are set to be story-driven, single player experiences. Sign me up!

Bioshock Infinite remains one of my favourite gaming experiences in years, and I can’t wait to see what Ken Levine does with Logan’s RunHave you finished the game yourself? What did you think of the experience?

Between this unveiling, SDCC, and the launch of the next chapter of Telltale’s The Walking Dead, July is set to be an incredible (and busy) month!

Pacific Rim hits theatres in less than two weeks, and Warner Bros. has definitely begun a heavy marketing push for the film. Yesterday, four fantastic new clips were released, and the studio has just unveiled two new character posters.

One image features the monstrous ‘Category 4’ Kaiju Otachi, while the other spotlights American Jaeger Gipsy Danger. The two are set to face-off in the feature, which should definitely make for an interesting matchup.

Take a look at the new posters below, and be sure to let us know if you’re excited for the movie! Looking for more Pacific Rim? Screenwriter Travis Beacham was just a guest on Geekscape!

Legendary Pictures highly anticpated Pacific Rim is less than two weeks away from release, and the studio has just unveiled four new clips from the film.

Each clip takes us through a different scene from the movie, including a Kaiju/Jaeger battle, training, arguing, and some black-market dealing. Each and every one of them looks absolutely fantastic.

Following the Kick-Ass 2 viral launch earlier this week, two new videos have appeared on the Justice Forever website.

The videos feature Insect Man, Battle Guy, and Doctor Gravity, who all urge you to find your secret identity and join the Justice Forever team. There is actually a contest going on at the Justice Forever site, with things like posters, clothing, cash, and even a two-night trip to SDCC up for grabs. Sounds like this campaign may just be worth sharing.

Take a look at the new videos below, and let us know what you think! Kick-Ass 2 hits theatres on August 16th!

Kick-Ass, Hit Girl and Red Mist return for the follow-up to 2010’s irreverent global hit: Kick-Ass 2.  After Kick-Ass’ (Aaron Taylor-Johnson) insane bravery inspires a new wave of self-made masked crusaders, led by the badass Colonel Stars and Stripes (Jim Carrey), our hero joins them on patrol.  When these amateur superheroes are hunted down by Red Mist (Christopher Mintz-Plasse)—reborn as The Mother F%&*^r—only the blade-wielding Hit Girl (Chloë Grace Moretz) can prevent their annihilation.

When we last saw junior assassin Hit Girl and young vigilante Kick-Ass, they were trying to live as normal teenagers Mindy and Dave. With graduation looming and uncertain what to do, Dave decides to start the world’s first superhero team with Mindy. Unfortunately, when Mindy is busted for sneaking out as Hit Girl, she’s forced to retire—leaving her to navigate the terrifying world of high-school mean girls on her own. With no one left to turn to, Dave joins forces with Justice Forever, run by a born-again ex-mobster named Colonel Stars and Stripes.

Just as they start to make a real difference on the streets,  the world’s first super villain, The Mother F%&*^r, assembles his own evil league and puts a plan in motion to make Kick-Ass and Hit Girl pay for what they did to his dad. But there’s only one problem with his scheme: If you mess with one member of Justice Forever, you mess with them all.

It’s almost here!

The anticipated Marvel Knights Animation release of Wolverine: Origin is fast approaching, and Shout Factory has just unveiled the film’s opening sequence.

Based on the miniseries from 2001, Wolverine: Origins tells the story of Logan’s early days, right from the character’s childhood. It was the first time that the character’s entire origin had ever been revealed, and the transition to an animated feature should open the story to an entirely new audience.

Wolverine: Origin hits DVD on July 9th, and is available for preorder now. Take a look at the opening sequence below, and let us know if you’re looking forward to the adaptation!

Wolverine is the best there is at what he does – although of course, what he does isn’t very nice. But long before he was a member of the X-Men, a tormented experiment of the Weapon-X project, or even a savage bar brawler known as Logan – he was simply a young boy.

What incredible forces created this man, the world’s greatest killing machine? For years, Wolverine has searched desperately for answers from his past, from the wilds of the Canadian Wilderness to the teeming cities of Japan and beyond. And despite his perseverance and longing for the truth, he remains an enigma to himself and those around him. But, in this landmark event, Marvel reveals all: the birth and childhood of young James Howlett…the intriguing secrets of his family history…and the tragedy that changed everything.

Welcome to the greatest story never told.
