Briefly: Yes.

Sure, the show has had its ups and downs, and hasn’t been destroying ratings (though it has been doing pretty well), but according to CBS’ Les Moonves, we should be able to follow the adventures of Kara Zor-El for at least another year.

Deadline notes that Moonves stated at the Deutsche Bank Media Internet & Telecom Conference today that “We have about five new shows on this year,” he says. “Of those five, I believe all five of them will be renewed, and we own four of them.”

The five new series this year would have been LimitlessCode BlackLife in PiecesSupergirl and Angel from Hell.

Are you excited? We’re excited. Melissa Benoist is the cutest.

Briefly: I’m definitely down for this!

I’ve been having a blast with CBS Supergirl thus far (that huge crush on star Melissa Benoist certainly doesn’t hurt); the series brings a light hearted, funny, and heart-filled breath of fresh air to the crowded, dark and gloomy superhero genre, and I honestly believe that it’s one of the most refreshing new series’ that we’ve seen on television this year.

Apparently CBS agrees, because they’ve just added seven additional episodes to Supergirl‘s first season, bringing the total from 13 episodes, to 20.

Of course, the ratings aren’t shabby either, as Deadline notes that Supergirl has been ‘averaging 11.24 million viewers and a 12.8 rating among adults 18-49 in most recent ratings.’

Not too shabby at all. Miss the series so far? Here’s CBS’ official synopsis:

Supergirl is an action-adventure drama based on the DC Comics character Kara Zor-El (Melissa Benoist), Superman’s (Kal-El) cousin who, after 12 years of keeping her powers a secret on Earth, decides to finally embrace her superhuman abilities and be the hero she was always meant to be. Twelve-year-old Kara escaped the doomed planet Krypton with her parents’ help at the same time as the infant Kal-El. Protected and raised on Earth by her foster family, the Danvers, Kara grew up in the shadow of her foster sister, Alex (Chyler Leigh), and learned to conceal the phenomenal powers she shares with her famous cousin in order to keep her identity a secret. Years later at 24, Kara lives in National City assisting media mogul and fierce taskmaster Cat Grant (Golden Globe Award winner Calista Flockhart), who just hired the Daily Planet’s former photographer, James Olsen (Mehcad Brooks), as her new art director. However, Kara’s days of keeping her talents a secret are over when Hank Henshaw (David Harewood), head of a super-secret agency where her sister also works, enlists her to help them protect the citizens of National City from sinister threats. Though Kara will need to find a way to manage her new found empowerment with her very human relationships, her heart soars as she takes to the skies as Supergirl to fight crime.

In any case, I’ve loved almost everything that I’ve seen from the series so far, and I cannot wait to see where showrunner Greg Berlanti and the rest of the team takes it!

Take a look at the Supergirl trailer below, and let us know what you think of the series so far!

Briefly: We’re finally just a few weeks away from Quentin Tarantino’s highly anticipated The Hateful Eight, and The Weinstein Company has just debuted a beautiful final poster for the upcoming feature.

In The Hateful Eight, set six or eight or twelve years after the Civil War, a stagecoach hurtles through the wintry Wyoming landscape. The passengers, bounty hunter John Ruth (Russell) and his fugitive Daisy Domergue (Leigh), race towards the town of Red Rock where Ruth, known in these parts as “The Hangman,” will bring Domergue to justice. Along the road, they encounter two strangers: Major Marquis Warren (Jackson), a black former union soldier turned infamous bounty hunter, and Chris Mannix (Goggins), a southern renegade who claims to be the town’s new Sheriff. Losing their lead on the blizzard, Ruth, Domergue, Warren and Mannix seek refuge at Minnie’s Haberdashery, a stagecoach stopover on a mountain pass. When they arrive at Minnie’s, they are greeted not by the proprietor but by four unfamiliar faces. Bob (Bichir), who’s taking care of Minnie’s while she’s visiting her mother, is holed up with Oswaldo Mobray (Roth), the hangman of Red Rock, cow-puncher Joe Gage (Madsen), and Confederate General Sanford Smithers (Dern). As the storm overtakes the mountainside stopover, our eight travelers come to learn they may not make it to Red Rock after all…

The film obviously looks to bear the same incredible style and slick dialogue as all of Tarantino’s other work, and as such, we can’t freaking wait.

Take a look at the gorgeous image below, and be sure to let us know what you think! The Hateful Eight hits theatres on December 25th!

Briefly: With just a couple of months to go until its premiere, CBS today debuted a brand new, action-packed trailer for its upcoming Supergirl series.

I have to say that I’m really excited to check out Supergirl. Sadly, I missed the pilot screening back at SDCC, and haven’t watched the leaked pilot just yet (we’ll see if I can hold out), but the premise of a fun, not super dark and gloomy superhero series is beyond intriguing to me.

From the looks of this latest trailer, the series looks light-hearted as hell, and we definitely need more of that on television today.

Take a look at the trailer below, and let us know what you think! Supergirl premieres on October 26th!

Briefly: Episode two of Supergirl‘s first season is now in production, and following the series’ first poster from just a few days back, CBS has debuted a new featurette that digs into the episode’s opening scene.

One of, if not THE, most hyped upcoming comic movie is Batman VS. Superman: Dawn of Justice. Set to release in 2016, fans have been clamoring for leaks, releases and the almighty trailer. We don’t have a trailer for you, but we do have this nifty new poster!

Batman VS. Superman: Dawn of Justice hits theaters March 25, 2016

Briefly: It seems as though most people either loved or hated the first 300 when it hit theatres all the way back in 2006. 16 year old pubescent me ate up every bloody second of it, and as such, I cannot wait to experience Rise of an Empire.

A new trailer for the sequel/prequel has just debuted online, and it’s definitely the best trailer for the film so far. It shows off a lot more plot than previous trailers, while also diving much deeper into the action.

It pretty much looks exactly like the first film, but that won’t stop me from lining up when 300: Rise of an Empire hits theatres on March 7th. Take a look at the new trailer below, and let us know what you think!

Based on Frank Miller’s latest graphic novel Xerxes, and told in the breathtaking visual style of the blockbuster “300,” this new chapter of the epic saga takes the action to a fresh battlefield—on the sea—as Greek general Themistokles attempts to unite all of Greece by leading the charge that will change the course of the war.

“300: Rise of an Empire” pits Themistokles against the massive invading Persian forces led by mortal-turned-god Xerxes, and Artemisia, vengeful commander of the Persian navy.

Briefly: Following the latest trailer for the film released last month, Warner Bros. has just debuted a new poster for 300: Rise of an Empire.

The film is finally set to hit theatres on March 7th, and from everything we’ve seen so far, the film pretty much looks like an extension of the first, which (I think) is exactly what fans are looking for. Take a look at the new poster below, and let us know what you think!

Briefly: Had it not been for a 9-month delay, we’d all have already seen 300: Rise of an Empire.

Instead, this new trailer will have to do for now. Don’t get me wrong, I’m excited as hell for the movie, but I of course wish that it would have made its original June 6th release date.

So far, the film pretty much looks like an extension of the first, which is exactly what I’m hoping for. Take a look at the new preview below, and let us know what you think! 300: Rise of an Empire hits theatres on March 6th!

Briefly: I’m not really sure what else Aaron Eckhart’s been up to since his demise in The Dark Knight, but the first trailer for I, Frankenstein has just debuted online, and it’s looking pretty bad-ass so far.

The film looks to take a similar tone to that of 2010’s Legionexcept it’s traded angels for monsters, and Aaron Eckhart plays the sexiest Frankenstein ever.

I, Frankenstein offers quite a well rounded cast, starring (of course) Eckhart, but also Bill Nighy, Jai Courtney, and even Dexter’s girlfriend herself, the lovely Yvonne Strahovski, among others.

Take a look at the trailer below, and let us know if you’re looking forward to the film! I, Frankenstein hits theatres on January 24th!

200 years after his shocking creation, Dr. Frankenstein’s creature, Adam, still walks the earth. But when he finds himself in the middle of a war over the fate of humanity, Adam discovers he holds the key that could destroy humankind. From the co-writer of the hit supernatural saga, UNDERWORLD, comes the action thriller I, FRANKENSTEIN, written for the screen and directed by Stuart Beattie, screen story by Kevin Grevioux and Stuart Beattie, based on the Darkstorm Studios graphic novel “I, Frankenstein” created by Kevin Grevioux. The story is brought to life by a cast that includes Aaron Eckhart, Bill Nighy, Yvonne Strahovski, Miranda Otto, Jai Courtney, and Aden Young as Victor Frankenstein.

Earlier this year we talked about the hilarious new dark comedy Bad Milo. The film centers around a man who has been living with intense stomach pains. Turns out he actually has a demon living inside of him that he must learn to control.

Well now our friends over at Bloody Disgusting have released the poster for this crazy film.

Catch Bad Milo on VOD August 29th and in theaters October 4th!

The Pacific Rim marketing just keeps coming! Less than one day after two new character posters were revealed for the film, Warner Bros. has released another two posters, plus a new clip to further excite you for the coming epic.

The first poster features Australian Jaeger Striker Eureka, while the second spotlights ‘Category 4’ Kaiju Leatherback. The new clip look similar to footage we’ve seen in the recent trailers, but looks like the setup for an intense battle.

Take a look at everything below, and let us know what you think! Pacific Rim hits theatres on July 12th! The movie’s screenwriter, Travis Beacham, was just a guest on Geekscape!

When legions of monstrous creatures, known as Kaiju, started rising from the sea, a war began that would take millions of lives and consume humanity’s resources for years on end. To combat the giant Kaiju, a special type of weapon was devised: massive robots, called Jaegers, which are controlled simultaneously by two pilots whose minds are locked in a neural bridge. But even the Jaegers are proving nearly defenseless in the face of the relentless Kaiju. On the verge of defeat, the forces defending mankind have no choice but to turn to two unlikely heroes – a washed up former pilot (Charlie Hunnam) and an untested trainee (Rinko Kikuchi) – who are teamed to drive a legendary but seemingly obsolete Jaeger from the past. Together, they stand as mankind’s last hope against the mounting apocalypse.

Pacific Rim hits theatres in less than two weeks, and Warner Bros. has definitely begun a heavy marketing push for the film. Yesterday, four fantastic new clips were released, and the studio has just unveiled two new character posters.

One image features the monstrous ‘Category 4’ Kaiju Otachi, while the other spotlights American Jaeger Gipsy Danger. The two are set to face-off in the feature, which should definitely make for an interesting matchup.

Take a look at the new posters below, and be sure to let us know if you’re excited for the movie! Looking for more Pacific Rim? Screenwriter Travis Beacham was just a guest on Geekscape!

The creators of Reno 911 are back. This time around, they’re taking on a whole new genre.

Hell Baby is a new horror-comedy that follows an expectant couple’s moves into the most haunted fixer-upper in New Orleans — a house with a deadly demonic curse. Obviously, weird things start happening, including the possession of the couple’s female member… and the unborn baby inside her.

It sounds silly, but it looks hilarious. If Reno 911 is any indication, the team behind Hell Baby knows exactly what they’re doing. Check out the trailer below, and let us know what you think! Hell Baby hits iTunes on July 25th!

“Hell Baby,” a comedy scripted by Thomas Lennon and Robert Ben Garant (Night at The Museum, Reno 911!: Miami) marks their co-directing debut. Jack (Rob Corddry) and Vanessa (Leslie Bibb) are an expectant couple that moves into the most haunted fixer-upper in New Orleans — a house with a deadly demonic curse. Things soon spiral out of control for Jack and Vanessa, as well as their-not-so-helpful neighbor F’Resnel (Keegan-Michael Key), Vanessa’s friendly psychiatrist (Michael Ian Black), Vanessa’s Wiccan sister Marjorie (Riki Lindhome) and the detectives assigned to look into the rising body count (Rob Huebel and Paul Scheer). Only the Vatican’s elite exorcism team (Garant and Lennon) san save them — or can they?

Last month we showed you the incredibly crazy trailer for upcoming History Horror Thriller, Frankestein’s Army. Today we can show you the official poster for the film. And GOD DAMN DOES IT LOOK AWESOME!

Set to hit theaters and On-Demand July 26th, this movie looks crazier and crazier the more I learn about it.

In the waning days of World War II, a battalion of Russian soldiers find themselves lost in enemy territory. Stumbling upon a village decimated by an unseen terror, they discover that a mad scientist (Hellboy’s Karel Roden) conducts experiments to fuse flesh and steel, creating an unstoppable army of undead soldiers. Leaderless and faced with dissention amongst their dwindling ranks, they must find the courage to face down an altogether new menace – or die trying.

Mondo is well known for their absolutely incredible posters and artwork (not to mention t-shirts), and they’ve just revealed two new posters for this Summer’s biggest film, Man of Steel.

Two amazing artists have crafted these limited-edition art pieces. Ken Taylor and Martin Ansin have both done some spectacular work, and if my wallet permits, I will definitely be ordering one (if not both) of these.

First, Ken’s 20×36 poster will be available in a regular edition for $50, or a more-limited variant for $75:

Next, Martin Ansin’s 24×36 poster will be available for $50 in a regular edition, or $300 in an incredible metal variant:

These both look absolutely wonderful. Will you be picking one up? Head to Mondo’s official blog for all the details.

The team that brought us the hilarious Reno 911 is working on a new film. A horror comedy about an expecting couple that get themselves in a hellish situation.

Well, this stinks.

Just a few weeks after the unveiling of the film’s first poster300: Rise of an Empire has been delayed by eight months. Originally slated to release this August, the film has been moved to March 7th, 2014. The studio didn’t give a reason for the delay, but it’s most likely due to cinemas being very crowded this August.

This move also pushed All You Need is Kill from its original slot to June 6th, 2014. Read the full press release below, and let us know if you’re disappointed!

Warner Bros. Pictures has announced a change of release dates for two of its most-anticipated event films: “All You Need is Kill,” from Warner Bros. Pictures and Village Roadshow Pictures, and “300: Rise of an Empire,” from Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary Pictures. The announcement was made today by Dan Fellman, President of Domestic Distribution, and Veronika Kwan Vandenberg, President of International Distribution, Warner Bros. Pictures.

“All You Need is Kill” has been moved to the Summer release corridor, opening on June 6, 2014, with select international markets predating the domestic release, starting the weekend of May 30, 2014. The earlier international release date was specifically chosen to put the opening two weeks ahead of the start of the World Cup. The move reflects the studio’s already strong belief in the huge science fiction actioner, which marks the first collaboration between two proven hit-makers, Tom Cruise and director Doug Liman.

The release date of “300: Rise of an Empire,” a new chapter in the epic “300” saga, has moved to March 7, 2014, with international territories opening day-and-date, reflecting the global popularity of the franchise. The first “300,” which was released in March 2007, went on to earn more than $456 million worldwide.

Fellman stated, “We have tremendous confidence in ‘All You Need is Kill’ and view it as a perfect tent pole for the Summer frame, with its combination of great cast, compelling story and tremendous action.”

Fellman also noted, “Moving ‘300: Rise of an Empire’ to March 7 continues in the tradition of the first ‘300,’ and kicks off the Spring movie-going season in epic style. The film is on track to become all that audiences have come to expect from the franchise.”

Kwan Vandenberg said, “We are thrilled about ‘All You Need is Kill’ heating up our Summer `14 slate. It is an action-packed adventure, told by an extraordinary cast, which is sure to have global appeal.

“We are also excited about the continuation of the ‘300’ saga,” Kwan Vandenberg added. “The first ‘300’ movie was a huge success internationally, and the day-and-date release of the new film is a great opportunity to turn its opening into a worldwide event.”

It’s been a busy day for Zack Snyder. Shortly after releasing the second theatrical trailer for Man of Steel, Zack Snyder revealed the very first poster for the upcoming 300: Rise of an Empire. Now, Snyder didn’t direct this one (likely being unfathomably busy with Man of Steel), though he is acting as a producer. Noam Murro is at the helm of this prequel, which retells the naval battle of Artemesia, and shows just how Xerces came to become a god-king.

300: Rise of an Empire stars Lena Headey, Eva Green, Rodrigo Santoro, and plenty of others. The movie hits theatres on August 2nd! Check out the first poster below, and let us know if you’re looking forward to it!

You’ll be able to catch up with Katniss, Peeta, and the rest of the gang when The Hunger Games: Catching Fire hits theatres on November 21st!

Lionsgate today launched a new campaign promoting the anticipated sequel to last year’s The Hunger Games. Capitol Couture is a faux-publication that offers us a first look at this year’s Capitol portraits. The images also look to make pretty clever character posters!

First up is Effie Trinket, portrayed by Elizabeth Banks. The site describes the image as “Head to heel in couture, Effie enchants in an exploding silhouette of chiffon and organza blooms. Never one to waver in her fashionable footwear, her heel-less boots are shod with a golden horse-shoe platform.”

Check out the portrait below, and let us know what you think! The Hunger Games: Catching Fire hits theatres on November 21st.

Another portrait is set to unlock later today, so check back this evening for that one!

Getting hungry for Catching Fire? Just nine more months until you’ll finally get a chance to return to Panem.

In the meantime, Lionsgate today released the first official posters for The Hunger Games: Catching Fire. The first image features Peeta and Katniss in a propaganda style image of their ‘Victory Tour’ through Panem, while the second looks to be a very, very wide shot of that first image.

Take a look at the posters below, and let us know what you think! The Hunger Games: Catching Fire hits theatres on November 22nd.

The Hunger Games: Catching Fire begins as Katniss has returned home safe after winning the 74th Annual Hunger Games along with fellow tribute Peeta. Winning means that they must turn around and leave their family and close friends, embarking on a “Victor’s Tour’ of the districts. Along the way Katniss senses that a rebellion is simmering, but the Capitol is still very much in control as President Snow prepares the 75th Annual Hunger Games (The Quarter Quell) – a competition that could change Panem forever.

Silent Hill was one of the few video game adaptations that actually lived up the game and this month we will see the release of the sequel into theaters. Check out this cool Italian poster for the flick featuring painted renderings of the main characters. If the movie turns out to be good I just may have to hunt one of these down.

Silent Hill: Revelation 3D is based on the acclaimed survival horror videogame franchise by KONAMI and is the sequel to Hadida and Carmody’s earlier Silent Hill directed by Christophe Gans. For years, Heather Mason (Clemens) and her father have been on the run, always one step ahead of dangerous forces that she doesn’t fully understand. Now on the eve of her 18th birthday, plagued by terrifying nightmares and the disappearance of her father, Heather discovers she’s not who she thinks she is. The revelation leads her deeper into a demonic world that threatens to trap her in Silent Hill forever.

Silent Hill: Revelation 3D hits theaters on October 26, 2012.
