Briefly: Marvel’s Doctor Strange just started production a few weeks back, and the studio has already released the very first featurette for the anticipated project.

As principal photography has just begun, we’re going to be waiting forever for a trailer or any real footage to be released.

In any case, we know almost nothing about the project at this point, so we’re going to eat up every little tidbit of information until Marvel fills us in. Doctor Strange follows the story of neurosurgeon Doctor Stephen Strange who, after a horrific car accident, discovers the hidden world of magic and alternate dimensions.

Based on the Marvel comic character who first appeared in “Strange Tales” Issue #110 published in July 1963, Marvel’s “Doctor Strange” continues the lineage of epic big-screen adventures chronicled in Marvel’s  “Iron Man,” “The Incredible Hulk,” “Iron Man 2,” “Thor,” “Captain America: The First Avenger,” “The Avengers,” “Iron Man 3,” “Thor: The Dark World,” “Captain America: The Winter Soldier,” “Guardians of the Galaxy,” “Avengers: Age of Ultron,” “Ant-Man” and the upcoming “Captain America: Civil War,” (May 6, 2016), “Guardians of the Galaxy 2” (May 5, 2017) and  “Thor: Ragnarok” (November 3, 2017).

The featurette certainly doesn’t offer much insight, but it does include some amazing concept art. Take a look below, and be sure to let us know what you think! Doctor Strange will hit theatres on November 4th, 2016.

Briefly: As mixed as reception was for Sony’s adaptation of Brian Michael Bendis and Michael Avon Oeming’s acclaimed comic series Powers was, the series was still beyond popular enough to receive a second season order.

The first season is available in full to Playstation Plus subscribers, and Sony’s VP of Platforms Marketing John Koller states that “The reception to ‘Powers’ has been incredible and we are thrilled to have successfully launched a platform for original content with the PlayStation gamer in mind. We believe original content will continue to be a key pillar as we broaden the value proposition for PlayStation Plus, and we’re excited for what’s to come with season two of ‘Powers.’”

Bendis adds that  “We are so grateful to the PlayStation nation and fans of Powers for supporting us and making the second season a reality. I speak for the entire cast & crew when I say that we are really excited about season two and the opportunity to tell the story of the biggest case in Powers history.”

Season two of Powers is without a solid debut date at this point, but in any case, it’s coming in 2016. Take a look at the first look trailer below, and be sure to let us know what you think!

Briefly: Just last week it was revealed that FOX was developing a Rambo television series, tentatively titled Rambo: New Blood.

At the time, it was unknown whether or not series star Sylvester Stallone would appear in the series, but it looked as though he was at least attached to executive produce.

Now, it (sadly) looks like that’s not the case. A new report from Deadline notes that Stallone’s representatives stated that  “Contrary to reports, Sylvester Stallone has opted not to participate in the planned Rambo television series in any way at all.”

Stallone himself added “I wish the others well with the project.”

It’s certainly a little sad, as Stallone’s involvement is certainly what had me most exciting for the in-development series. As a huge Rambo fan, in any case, I’ll certainly be giving it a chance whether he’s associated with it or not.

Are you looking forward to the series? Even knowing just how much Rambo‘s intense violence will have to be toned down to even make it on television? Be sure to let us know in the comments below!

Briefly: Gone Home is pretty old at this point.

For instance, the game was an honorable mention in my ‘Best Of 2013’ video games list. In the next two weeks, we’ll be publishing our thoughts on the best titles of 2015.

While the console port was first announced back in 2014, Gone Home is finally coming home to the Xbox One and PS4 on January 12th, 2015.

In its transition, the game has been updated from the Unity 4 engine to Unity 5, has been ‘reengineered specifically for Xbox and PlayStation’, and also includes over 90 minutes of commentary that I’m beyond excited to listen to.

It’s been such a long time since I’ve played through Gone Home that I’m more than ready for another playthrough. The game was an oddly tense traverse through an empty family home, and offers a testament to all of the crazy conclusions that your mind will jump to when its left to its own devices.

Take a look at the announcement trailer below, and let us know if you’ll be picking up the console edition of Gone Home.

Briefly: Another incredibly unexpected announcement from last night’s The Game Awards.

Harmonix’ Rock Band 4 just launched a couple of months back, and while I’d imagine we’ll see years of support for the title, the developer has already set their sights on the next big paradigm shift in video games: virtual reality.

Yep, Harmonix revealed Rock Band VR as an Oculus exclusive for next year, and it almost looks like a far more cartoony, yet far more interactive take on this year’s (phenomenalGuitar Hero Live.

I’m already incredibly excited for Oculus to get its consumer release (I swear, it’s going to be the release that finally has me building a gaming PC), and just the idea of playing Rock Band in a virtual reality worlds gets my loins ‘a burnin’.

Take a look at the world premiere video below, and be sure to let us know what you think!

Briefly: Following that exciting-as-hell first trailer late last month, the CW has just unveiled some official key art for next year’s Legends Of Tomorrow.

When heroes alone are not enough… the world needs legends. Having seen the future, one he will desperately try to prevent from happening, time-traveling rogue Rip Hunter is tasked with assembling a disparate group of both heroes and villains to confront an unstoppable threat — one in which not only is the planet at stake, but all of time itself. Can this ragtag team defeat an immortal threat unlike anything they have ever known?

DC’s Legends of Tomorrow stars Victor Garber (The Flash, Alias); Brandon Routh (Arrow, Superman Returns); Arthur Darvill (Doctor Who); Caity Lotz (Arrow); Ciarra Renee (Pippin); Franz Drameh (Edge of Tomorrow); with Dominic Purcell (The Flash, Prison Break); and Wentworth Miller (The Flash, Prison Break).

Take a look at the poster below, rewatch the first trailer here, and let us know how excited you are for the January 21st premiere!

Briefly: I knew that Metal Gear Solid V would win some awards last night. The game is chock-full of near perfect mechanics, and while the storyline leaves something to be desired for MGS fans expecting plenty of long, convoluted cutscenes, Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain is still easily one of the best games of the year.

When it won the award for Best Action / Adventure game at last night’s The Game Awards, fans in audience and watching around the world expected series creator Hideo Kojima to take the stage in order to accept the award for what was likely to be the last true Metal Gear title that we’ll ever see.

Turns out, that was the plan, until Konami stopped Kojima from attending the awards at the last minute.

Host Geoff Keighley explained that “Mr. Kojima had every intention of being with us tonight, but unfortunately he was informed by a lawyer representing Konami just recently that he would not be allowed to travel to tonight’s award ceremony to accept any awards. He’s still under an employment contract and it’s disappointing.”

Here’s the video, where Keighley looks legitimately upset at the announcement, and the entire Microsoft Theatre boos Konami:

It’s absolutely insane just how much hate Konami has garnered over the past year, and with last night’s barring of Kojima, it seems as though they just keep digging that hole deeper.

Mere seconds after the decision was revealed on the livestream, Twitter was filled with #FuckKonami posts, and a myriad of support for Kojima and Kojima Productions.

It was pretty clear that Kojima was looking forward to the ceremony as well, as he’d been retweeting The Game Awards news all week.

Sad, sad stuff.

Briefly: I certainly didn’t see this coming.

During last night’s presentation of The Game Awards, Telltale Games not only gave us more information about the upcoming The Walking Dead: Michonne miniseries, but also revealed a Batman title for 2016. Probably late 2016, as the game doesn’t even have an official title at this point (purely speculation).

The mysterious trailer certainly had me guessing until the end, and while no information about the title has been revealed thus far, Telltale notes that “This iteration of Batman will give fans a first-hand opportunity to dive deeper into the complex life and mind of Bruce Wayne.”

I’m so freaking excited, and our very own Juan Carlos knew that I would be:

Take a look at the trailer below, and let us know just how excited you are for this one! Telltale’s Batman is set to debut in 2016!

Briefly: A few weeks back, based of some cryptic tweets from a Telltale Games staffer, we anticipated that we’d be seeing the first episode of Telltale’s The Walking Dead: Michonne mini-series (which was first announced back at E3) very, very soon.

When the game was first announced, the company noted that the game would premiere this Fall. It looks like Telltale may be a little too busy with its current myriad of other titles, as a brief new trailer revealed at last night’s The Game Awards marked a February 2016 release window.

The company recently noted that they wouldn’t release any information about the third season of their main The Walking Dead title until Michonne had reached its conclusion, so it’s going to be some time until we find out what’s in store for Clementine and company.

Here’s what the Michonne mini-series is about:

Stepping into the lead role of Michonne, award-winning actress Samira Wiley (Orange is the New Black) will portray the iconic character from the comic book series haunted by her past and coping with unimaginable loss and regret. The story explores her untold journey during the time between issues #126 and #139. Through this three-episode Telltale Games series, players will discover what took Michonne away from Rick, Ezekiel, and the rest of her trusted group… and what brought her back.

Telltale co-founder Kevin Bruner noted that “We’ve been hard at work on this very special exploration of The Walking Dead universe that will further bridge together our game series with the canon of Robert Kirkman’s comic though one of its most complex characters struggling to maintain her own humanity. Deeply haunted by the decisions of her past, putting players in the role of a character like Michonne to navigate the broken world around her is an experience that feels uniquely Telltale, and something we simply cannot wait for The Walking Dead fans to play.”

I’m damned excited, but then again, I’m excited for everything that Telltale touches. Take a look at the trailer below, and be sure to let us know if you’re exited for this one!

Briefly: Following the first (spoilery) teaser poster from late last month, HBO has just debuted the very first video teaser for next year’s sixth season of Game of Thrones.

I’m not quite caught up on the series, so I’m definitely avoiding this video, but in any case, you can take a look at the teaser below!

It’s awesome, isn’t it?

Be sure to let us know what you hope to see in the upcoming episodes! Game of Thrones will return this April!

Briefly: Another day, another new piece of promotional material for Agent Carter‘s upcoming second season.

Today, following yesterday’s announcement that the second season premiere would be delayed by two weeks, ABC has debuted a stylish new poster for the upcoming season.

Sure, it doesn’t teach us anything new about the upcoming episodes (aside from the fact that Peggy Carter is still stylish as hell), but in any case, it’s a great image that precedes a likely fantastic second season.

The upcoming second season stars Hayley Atwell in the titular role of the unstoppable secret agent for the SSR (Strategic Scientific Reserve). Dedicated to the fight against new atomic age threats in the wake of World War II, Peggy must now journey from New York City to Los Angeles for her most dangerous assignment yet. But even as she discovers new friends, a new home–and perhaps even a new love–she’s about to find out that the bright lights of the post-war Hollywood mask a more sinister threat to everyone she is sworn to protect.

Take a look at the image below, and let us know what you think! Agent Carter premieres on January 19th!

Following the first (fantastic) trailer from October, a slick one-sheet from a few weeks back, and a just-release comic book prequel, Legendary Entertainment has just debuted a new featurette for this holiday season’s Krampus.

As a huge fan of Michael Dougherty’s Halloween themed Trick ‘R Treat (now an October staple in my household), I really couldn’t be more excited for his upcoming follow-up.

Somehow, I didn’t actually know that Krampus was an old legend before this movie was announced, and now that I’ve brushed up on the fable, Dougherty’s take looks even better.

If you missed it, you can head here to watch the film’s first trailer, and take a look at the star-studded featurette below!

Krampus hits theatres on December 4th!

https://youtu.be/cVxbSPEeTSc

When his dysfunctional family clashes over the holidays, young Max (Emjay Anthony) is disillusioned and turns his back on Christmas. Little does he know, this lack of festive spirit has unleashed the wrath of Krampus: a demonic force of ancient evil intent on punishing non-believers. All hell breaks loose as beloved holiday icons take on a monstrous life of their own, laying siege to the fractured family’s home and forcing them to fight for each other if they hope to survive.

Briefly: Thanks, Obama.

Agent Carter was set to begin its sure-to-be-awesome second season on January 5th, but amidst a myriad of excellent (short) teasers, TV Guide has revealed that the season two premiere will not make its previously scheduled debut.

Why not?

Well, the arguably more important (definitely more important) State of the Union address has been scheduled for the following week, on January 12th.

So instead of having a huge gap after the premiere, Agent Carter has opted to simply begin on January 19th so the POTUS can say what he needs to say.

Briefly: Ready for more silly, yet effective marketing for next year’s Deadpool?

Yeah you are.

20th Century Fox has just debuted a cheeky new poster for the upcoming feature, noting that Deadpool is (as if anyone needed to tell us), a bad ass, and a smart ass, with a… well, just take a look at the poster.

Deadpool tells the origin story of former Special Forces operative turned mercenary Wade Wilson, who after being subjected to a rogue experiment that leaves him with accelerated healing powers, adopts the alter ego Deadpool. Armed with his new abilities and a dark, twisted sense of humor, Deadpool hunts down the man who nearly destroyed his life.

Take a look at the poster below, and let us know what you hope to see in the final film! Deadpool hits (North American) theatres on February 12th!

Briefly: Anyone feel like the marketing for next year’s too-short ‘The X-Files’ run has been pretty phenomenal so far?

Yeah, me too. From the first teasers, to the full trailerstylish posters, and beyond, Fox knows that they have a hit on their hands (and a good one, based on the impressions that we heard from NYCC last month), and are doing all that they can to drum up excitement from fans of the original series.

That trend continues with another just-released promo poster for the upcoming episodes. Sure, it may not be quite as cool as that last batch of images was, but at this point every. little. piece. of The X-Files marketing is beyond exciting for me.

Thirteen years after the original series run, the next mind-bending chapter of THE X-FILES will be a thrilling, six-episode event series helmed by creator/executive producer Chris Carter, with stars David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson re-inhabiting their roles as iconic FBI Agents FOX MULDER and DANA SCULLY. This marks the momentous return of the Emmy- and Golden Globe Award-winning pop culture phenomenon, which remains one of the longest-running sci-fi series in network television history. Production on THE X-FILES event series is set to begin in summer 2015.

THE X-FILES originally premiered in September 1993. Over the course of its nine-season run, the influential series went from breakout sci-fi favorite to massive global hit, and became one of the most successful television dramas of all time. The show, which earned 16 Emmy Awards, five Golden Globes and a Peabody Award, follows FBI special agents Scully (Anderson) and Mulder (Duchovny), as they investigate unexplained cases – “X-Files” – for which the only answers involve paranormal phenomena.

In any case, trust no one, take a look at the new image below, and let us know what you hope to see in the January 24th premiere!

Briefly: Wow, these Agent Carter teasers are coming out fast.

Following an action-packed teaser from last week, and the very first teaser from the week before, the newest video promoting the upcoming second season has just debuted online.

Yep, we see Peggy fighting (naturally), but we’re also introducted to Jarvis’ wife Ana for the very first time.

Take a look at the teaser below, and let us know what you think! Agent Carter‘s second season begins on January 5th!

Briefly: Playstation Now has always seemed like a bit of an odd duck to me.

I’m totally down with Cloud-based gaming, and had a fantastic time with Onlive’s Playpass a number of years back, but Playstation Now, while an incredible idea, always seemed sort of lackluster in its offerings.

Today, the offerings improve, and the Playstation Now library becomes a little more handsome with the addition of Gearbox’s incredibly fun (as long as you’re playing with other people) Borderlands and Borderlands 2.

Even better (at least in my opinion), Irrational Games’ genre-defining Bioshock and Bioshock 2 have joined the already available Bioshock Infinite, making for a pretty incredible million hours of gaming if you’ve somehow missed out on these titles.

I’m still impossibly far away from grabbing a subscription to Playstation Now, but at this point it’s certainly not for a lack of content. My PS4 and Wii U backlogs continue to grow, and I simply can’t add another generation of missed experiences to that list. In any case, at this point you’re certainly getting your twenty dollars worth with the myriad of titles at your disposal.

Are you a Playstation Now subscriber? What have you thought of the service thus far? Are you excited for these new additions? Be sure to let us know in the comments below!

Briefly: It’s been a long time since we’ve seen any new footage come out of Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice, and I’m beyond happy to say that the production’s long silence ended tonight with an awesome new, albeit brief look at the film during tonight’s episode of Gotham.

It’s crazy to think that we see a new teaser, trailer, TV spot, or image for something like Star Wars: The Force Awakens seemingly every single day, and yet Warner Bros., Zack Snyder, and company have done an incredible job keeping so much of Dawn of Justice a secret.

The video was announced in a Tweet promoting Gotham‘s just concluded mid-season finale, and even if you’re not a fan of Fox’s Gordon-focused prequel series, it was certainly worth the watch for the new teaser alone.

Damn this looks cool. Take a look at the new teaser below, and be sure to let us know just how much you’re looking forward to March 25th, when Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice finally hits theatres!

Briefly: There’s no denying that Alejandro González Iñarritu The Revenant looks phenomenal, and it’s arguably (from the limited footage that we’ve seen thus far) the most jaw-droppingly gorgeous film that we’ll see this year.

Reviews for the film are non-existent at this point (embargo lifts on December 4th), but early buzz has been spectacular, with essentially the entire internet saying that this is finally the year that Leo gets his Oscar.

A new extended TV spot for the feature has just debuted online, and it shows off more of the same perplexing beauty that we’ve seen from the rest of the film’s marketing. While I didn’t love Alejandro’s Birdmanthe Revenant looks like something incredibly special.

Inspired by true events, THE REVENANT is an immersive and visceral cinematic experience capturing one man’s epic adventure of survival and the extraordinary power of the human spirit. In an expedition of the uncharted American wilderness, legendary explorer Hugh Glass (Leonardo DiCaprio) is brutally attacked by a bear and left for dead by members of his own hunting team. In a quest to survive, Glass endures unimaginable grief as well as the betrayal of his confidant John Fitzgerald (Tom Hardy). Guided by sheer will and the love of his family, Glass must navigate a vicious winter in a relentless pursuit to live and find redemption. THE REVENANT is directed and co-written by renowned filmmaker, Academy Award® winner Alejandro G. Iñárritu (Birdman, Babel).

Take a look at the new spot below, and let us know what you think! The Revenant hits (some) theatres on December 25th, and goes wide on January 8th!

Briefly: I’m definitely down for this!

I’ve been having a blast with CBS Supergirl thus far (that huge crush on star Melissa Benoist certainly doesn’t hurt); the series brings a light hearted, funny, and heart-filled breath of fresh air to the crowded, dark and gloomy superhero genre, and I honestly believe that it’s one of the most refreshing new series’ that we’ve seen on television this year.

Apparently CBS agrees, because they’ve just added seven additional episodes to Supergirl‘s first season, bringing the total from 13 episodes, to 20.

Of course, the ratings aren’t shabby either, as Deadline notes that Supergirl has been ‘averaging 11.24 million viewers and a 12.8 rating among adults 18-49 in most recent ratings.’

Not too shabby at all. Miss the series so far? Here’s CBS’ official synopsis:

Supergirl is an action-adventure drama based on the DC Comics character Kara Zor-El (Melissa Benoist), Superman’s (Kal-El) cousin who, after 12 years of keeping her powers a secret on Earth, decides to finally embrace her superhuman abilities and be the hero she was always meant to be. Twelve-year-old Kara escaped the doomed planet Krypton with her parents’ help at the same time as the infant Kal-El. Protected and raised on Earth by her foster family, the Danvers, Kara grew up in the shadow of her foster sister, Alex (Chyler Leigh), and learned to conceal the phenomenal powers she shares with her famous cousin in order to keep her identity a secret. Years later at 24, Kara lives in National City assisting media mogul and fierce taskmaster Cat Grant (Golden Globe Award winner Calista Flockhart), who just hired the Daily Planet’s former photographer, James Olsen (Mehcad Brooks), as her new art director. However, Kara’s days of keeping her talents a secret are over when Hank Henshaw (David Harewood), head of a super-secret agency where her sister also works, enlists her to help them protect the citizens of National City from sinister threats. Though Kara will need to find a way to manage her new found empowerment with her very human relationships, her heart soars as she takes to the skies as Supergirl to fight crime.

In any case, I’ve loved almost everything that I’ve seen from the series so far, and I cannot wait to see where showrunner Greg Berlanti and the rest of the team takes it!

Take a look at the Supergirl trailer below, and let us know what you think of the series so far!

Briefly: Damned this is cool.

After an unfortunate delay earlier this year, Ubisoft has just debuted the official launch trailer for Rainbow Six Siege, which finally hits Xbox One, PS4, and PC on December 1st.

The game marks an ‘exciting, new approach to the first-person shooter experience that puts tactical combat and masterful destruction at the center of the action.’ In the game, you’ll ‘lead your team of unique Rainbow operators through tense and thrilling combat scenarios, and achieve victory through smart preparation and strategic improvisation.’

I’m all for a great first person shooter, and the tactical aspects of Siege certainly raise my interest for the title. I have no idea how the game slipped under my radar for so long, but I definitely want to check it out come December 1st.

Briefly: Following the very first footage from Agent Carter‘s upcoming second season from a few weeks back, ABC has just debuted another look at the anticipated episodes entitled ‘Peggy Carter is Back’.

And back she is! The teaser showcases Ms. Carter doing what she does best; kicking butt and doing spy-stuff.

In any case, it’s a short but satisfying look at just what’s in store for us this January.

The second season will consist of 10 episodes, up from the fantastic 8 that we saw in season one.

You can take a look at the teaser below, and be sure to let us know what you’d like to see when Agent Carter returns next year!

Briefly: Following our first (overdue) look at the film back at NYCC, and a radical (yes, we still say that in Canada) poster release just a few weeks back, a new trailer for Pride and Prejudice and Zombies has just debuted online.

I remember being so excited for the adaptation when it was first announced back in 2009 (the same year that the book was first published). Since then, the film has shifted stars, directors, studios, and more, and after seeing the first image from the actually happening film back in November of last year, it’s fantastic to see the marketing ball finally rolling.

really enjoyed the novel, turning something that was nearly impossible for me to get through into something funny, original, and incredibly intriguing. I really can’t wait to see how the film adaptation turns out.

Pride and Prejudice and Zombies is directed by 17 Again and Charlie St. Cloud director Burr Steers, with a script from Steers and David O. Russell. Take a look at the new trailer below, and let us know what you think!

Briefly: Yes, please.

Geekscape regulars will likely remember that, yep, although Activision’s Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 5 was an uninspired, well, mess, I had (and continue to have) a lot of fun with the game.

Shortly after the title launched, Activision delayed the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions of the game indefinitely until the myriad of issues with the current generation version of the title were rectified. Today, Activision and Robomodo have taken a massive step towards fixing the game by releasing a 7+ GB patch, that also includes a lot of additional content.

Here are the full list of changes from the patch:

-Additional character campaigns have been added (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Tyler the Creator)

-Increased the total number of Stat points a Campaign can earn from 128 to 150

Gameplay

-Several gameplay mechanics within the levels have been updated
-Grinds were updated in several of the levels

Misc

-minor UI fixes and improvements have been made

Now I don’t see them specifically note anything about fixing bugs, but I mean, that has to be in there too, right? In any case, I’m downloading the patch right now, and am really excited to see just how the game feels once it’s been applied. Also, I’m beyond excited for the change to the ‘Slam’ button (double tap Grind instead or just one tap), which should certainly raise the level of control felt while your character is flying through the air.

Have you played Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 5 yet? Or did all the negative press turn you off from the title?

Briefly: Last night Marvel surprised all of us by debuting the very first action-packed trailer for next year’s Captain America: Civil War on Jimmy Kimmel Live.

The trailer features Cap and Bucky buddy-buddy once again, a fantastic line from Iron Man about an ailing friendship, and much, much more.

Marvel has since released three new one-sheets for the anticipated flick, bearing the tagline ‘Divided We Fall’, and showcasing Cap and Iron Man, naturally, fighting each other.

The movie looks cool as hell (if not Marvel’s standard-at-this-point way too busy), and these posters are worthy additions to the film’s just-beginning marketing campaign. I’m sure we’ll see about 40,000 more posters for this one before the film releases next May, and I’d sure hope that the rest of them could look as good as these three.

Take a look at the images below, and be sure to let us know, whose side are you on?

“Captain America: Civil War” picks up where “Avengers: Age of Ultron” left off, as Steve Rogers leads the new team of Avengers in their continued efforts to safeguard humanity. After another international incident involving the Avengers results in collateral damage, political pressure mounts to install a system of accountability and a governing body to determine when to enlist the services of the team. The new status quo fractures the Avengers while they try to protect the world from a new and nefarious villain.

Briefly: Well, I certainly didn’t expect to get off of a train and have this waiting for me.

Following the official word that Doctor Strange has begun production, Marvel debuted the very first trailer for next year’s Captain America: Civil War on tonight’s episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live.

Now, I know it’s almost Thanksgiving in the US, so I have to say that I’m damned thankful for this trailer, as crap is it cool.

Briefly: It’s finally, officially in production. Phew, we though that this one was on thin ice (not).

Yep, Marvel today officially revealed that Doctor Strange is now in production. The film stars the wondrous Benedict Cumberbatch as the famed Stephen Strange, and the official release came with a very unexpected first synopsis:

Just kidding. That was totally expected. In any case, you can take a look at the full release, straight from Marvel, below!

Marvel Studios announced today that production has begun on “Doctor Strange,” starring Benedict Cumberbatch (“Black Mass,”  “The Imitation Game”), Chiwetel Ejiofor (“12 Years a Slave,” “The Martian”), Rachel McAdams (“Southpaw,” “Sherlock Holmes”) and  Michael Stuhlbarg (“Steve Jobs,” “A Serious Man”)  with  Mads Mikkelsen (“Clash of the Titans,” “Casino Royale”)  and Academy Award® winner Tilda Swinton (“Michael Clayton,” “The Grand Budapest Hotel”).  The film, which opens in U.S. theaters on November 4, 2016, is directed by Scott Derrickson (“Sinister,” “The Exorcism of Emily Rose”). The film will be shot in several locations around the world, including London, New York, Hong Kong and Kathmandu, Nepal.

“Doctor Strange” is the latest film in Phase 3 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Phase 3’s goal—over the course of four years and nine films—is to introduce audiences to new heroes and continue the adventures of fan favorites.

Marvel’s “Doctor Strange” is produced by Kevin Feige with Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Charles Newirth, Stephen Broussard and Stan Lee serving as executive producers.

Director Scott Derrickson’s creative team also includes director of photography Ben Davis, B.S.C. (Marvel’s “Avengers: Age of Ultron,” Marvel’s “Guardians of the Galaxy”); production designer Charles Wood (Marvel’s “Avengers: Age of Ultron,” Marvel’s “Guardians of the Galaxy”); costume designer Alexandra Byrne (Marvel’s “Avengers: Age of Ultron,” Marvel’s “Guardians of the Galaxy”); editors Wyatt Smith (“Into the Woods,” Marvel’s “Thor: The Dark World”) and Sabrina Plisco, ACE (“Mr. Magorium’s Wonder Emporium,” “Charlotte’s Web”); and visuals effects supervisor Stephane Ceretti (Marvel’s “Guardians of the Galaxy”).

Marvel Studios continued its unprecedented success this year with the May 1 release of “Avengers: Age of Ultron,” which recorded the second biggest opening weekend of all time with a $191.3 million box office. It has also been the #1 release in every country where it has opened and has grossed over $1.4 billion in global box office. On July 17, Marvel released “Ant-Man,” which has grossed to date over $518 million worldwide.

In 2014 Marvel Studios released “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” and “Guardians of the Galaxy,” the top-grossing domestic film of 2014 with $333.2 million and $772.8 million worldwide. “Captain America: The Winter Soldier,” which broke the opening record for an April release by earning $95 million in its first weekend, went on to gross more than $711 million worldwide.

In 2013 Marvel produced the megahits “Thor: The Dark World” and “Iron Man 3.” The two films have earned over $644 million and $1.2 billion worldwide, respectively, since their openings. In 2012 Marvel’s critically acclaimed “The Avengers” set an all-time, domestic three-day weekend box-office record at $207.4 million. The film went on to gross over $1.5 billion worldwide, becoming Disney’s highest-grossing global and domestic release of all time.

Can you believe it’s almost here?

Yep. We’re officially less than one month away from Star Wars: The Force Awakens beyond-anticipated release date, and to mark the occasion, the latest issue of Empire Magazine is being distributed with six different The Force Awakens themed covers.

The images feature various heroes and villains from the upcoming feature, including Adam Driver’s Kylo Ren, Han Solo & Chewbacca, Gwendoline Christie’s Captain Phasma, Oscar Isaac’s Poe Dameron, John Boyega’s Finn, and Daisy Ridley’s Rey.

Nope, no Luke Skywalker. What is going on with that guy anyways?

Star Wars: The Force Awakens hits theatres on December 18th!

Briefly: Aw yiss.

The CW’s iZombie is far and away my favourite series currently running on television. Really, the series somehow takes two beyond-tired genres (zombie and crime drama) and somehow mashes them into an incredibly quirky, wondrously funny crime dramedy with a heart (and a brain) that only showrunner Rob Thomas and his amazing team could put together.

Somehow, I started the series late, only binge watching it when the first season hit Netflix back in September. Now, I’m watching it day and date with the rest of the word, and the very second that each episode is over I’m beyond hungry for more.

That said, it makes me incredibly happy, (and thankful, because Thanksgiving), that The CW has just added an extra six episodes to iZombie‘s second season run.

This brings season two’s total order up to a hefty 19 episodes, which should definitely keep me satisfied until the inevitable season three.

By the way, does anyone else have a crush on this entire cast? No? Just me? Okay.

Haven’t started the series yet? What the heck are you waiting for?

Briefly: I haven’t exactly finished last year’s fifth season of Game of Thrones, but HBO has just debuted the very first poster for the series’ upcoming sixth season, and… well, even I understand just how big of a deal this is.

I guess I have about five months to catch up (and to find out just what happened to Jon Snow), as this teaser image certainly renews my interest in the celebrated series.

Is he alive? Is he dead? This is like Glenn on The Walking Dead all over again (well, until last night I guess).

Take a look at the teaser image below, and let us know what you hope to see when Game of Thrones returns this April!
