So, after seeing the green-band trailer for Seven Psychopaths I was already sold. Now we have a hilarious red-band Trailer for the upcoming dog-napping comedy directed by Martin McDonagh (In Bruges) and starring Colin Farrell, Sam Rockwell, Woody Harrelson and Christopher Walken. If this doesn’t sell you on this movie…I don’t know what will.

‘Seven Psychopaths’ follows a struggling screenwriter (Colin Farrell) who inadvertently becomes entangled in the Los Angeles criminal underworld after his oddball friends (Christopher Walken and Sam Rockwell) kidnap a gangster’s (Woody Harrelson) beloved Shih Tzu.

Seven Psychopaths will have a limited theatrical release on October 12th.

A brand new subtitled trailer for director Quentin Tarantino’s upcoming spaghetti western, Django Unchained has been released online. The trailer features small bits of unseen footage with some previously seen.

Set in the South two years before the Civil War, “Django Unchained” stars Academy Award®-winner Jamie Foxx as Django, a slave whose brutal history with his former owners lands him face-to-face with German-born bounty hunter Dr. King Schultz (Academy Award®-winner Christoph Waltz). Schultz is on the trail of the murderous Brittle brothers, and only Django can lead him to his bounty. The unorthodox Schultz acquires Django with a promise to free him upon the capture of the Brittles – dead or alive.

Success leads Schultz to free Django, though the two men choose not to go their separate ways. Instead, Schultz seeks out the South’s most wanted criminals with Django by his side. Honing vital hunting skills, Django remains focused on one goal: finding and rescuing Broomhilda (Kerry Washington), the wife he lost to the slave trade long ago.

Django and Schultz’s search ultimately leads them to Calvin Candie (Academy Award®-nominee Leonardo DiCaprio), the proprietor of “Candyland,” an infamous plantation where slaves are groomed by trainer Ace Woody (Kurt Russell) to battle each other for sport. Exploring the compound under false pretenses, Django and Schultz arouse the suspicion of Stephen (Academy Award®-nominee Samuel L. Jackson), Candie’s trusted house slave. Their moves are marked, and a treacherous organization closes in on them. If Django and Schultz are to escape with Broomhilda, they must choose between independence and solidarity, between sacrifice and survival…

Written and directed by Academy Award®-winner Quentin Tarantino, DJANGO UNCHAINED is produced by Stacey Sher, Pilar Savone and Reginald Hudlin. The executive producers are Harvey and Bob Weinstein, Michael Shamberg, Shannon McIntosh, and James Skotchdopole.

Django Unchained will hit theaters December 25th!

This trailer just came across my desk. It is the introduction trailer for an upcoming indie game called Miasmata, from a small company called IonFx.

This game is a first person survival game. Think Minecraft but with a tad more looks. Check it out with me below.

No other info has been released yet.

The day I have been waiting for since the premiere of The Expendables 2 is slowly encroaching upon us: Xena Warrior Princess XXX release date! And now, the porn parody starring Phoenix Marie and Lexi Belle as the Warrior Princess and her sidekick the Battling Bard of Potedeia finally has a trailer. I must admit, I couldn’t be more excited. While I’ve never really been a porn aficionado (the only one I’ve watched is A Party at Kitty and Stud‘s starring Sylvester Stallone, because … duh), I am a Xenite to the (lady) bone(r), and any chance to reignite interest in the Warrior Princess has my vote for best idea ever.

And after seeing the trailer, I am still pretty psyched as the look and feel based on those three minutes is in the vein of the show. Castle Corsetry does well making the costumes. The sets and sounds, especially our Celtic lady of perpetual wailing, all feel right for the show they are parodying. Hell, they even brought Argo along for the ride! Thought maybe I should be more worried than excited about that one? I can only hope that there are awesome woosh! sounds to go with her chakram throwing and some Three Stooge-style humor mixed in.

But my favorite touch from the trailer is this right here:

While not quite so famous as the Xena “pinch”, this move was featured prominently in the show.

This is a bonafide Xena sex trick (because no one else does this. Ever.). I recall this move used rather vividly on Ares during the Amphipolis Under Siege episode in season 6. I can’t recall if it was ever used on Hercules, I’ll have to do a rewatch of the Warrior Princess trilogy from Hercules to know for sure. Perhaps a marathon of the seasons is in order to prepare for the DVD release in September of this year? As if I needed a reason …

That said, based on the story I can glean from the wordless trailer, I’m rather concerned this wasn’t made by people who are aware of the fanbase and that it mostly comprises of the members in the LGBT community. Case in point? It’s clear that Gabrielle is going to have sex with someone who isn’t Xena. While Xena may have seduced scads of men through the course of the show, Gabby only ever truly had eyes for Xena (though there were some pretty poor attempts at pairing her with Joxer throughout the show). Gabrielle would never of her own volition forsake Xena. Ever. Even though it looks like they are playing out the main gag of the episode A Comedy of Eros, where baby Bliss gets a hold of Cupid’s bow and starts making everyone fall in love with each other, which can explain away Gabrielle getting on with someone else. Nevertheless, it still is rather baffling. You finally have a chance to get over the “are they/aren’t they” question of subtext and give the only surviving fanbase of Xena what they finally want: a hardcore sex scene between the battling bard and the warrior princess. And while it most assuredly will be in there, somewhere, to have the characters be mostly (it seems) heterosexual is rather, well, surprising.

But, perhaps if it does well (I have no idea what that means in the porn world), they’ll make a more lesbian-filled sequel. With amazons. So many Amazons!

Another pairing that seems likely will be Ares and Aphrodite (who, curiously enough, both appear to be more clothed in the parody than they ever appeared on the show). While canon to the Greek myths, in the show the pair played heavily to sibling rivalry and distaste of each other that makes it a little odd. But hey, incest in wincest (amiright?).

Ironically enough, it will have way better special effects than the TV show ever did.

Finally, speaking as a true fan of the show, I have to admit I am surprised with the selection of Alti–though Juelz Venture looks way more like Velasca–over Xena’s archnemesis Callisto is another surprising choice. Not to say I didn’t like Alti (I think she’s great and wish Claire Stansfield would find some work) but if you’re going to do long haired, billous green sports bra era Gabrielle, then you have got to go with Callisto. You just do. Alti, while a major villain in season 4 (who fought spiritual battles, not physical ones, as a shaman), she doesn’t come into contact with Gabby until gets into full body henna while singing the praises of Jesus Christ Eli and about to go full butch.

This was a show that definitely impacted my understanding of sex and sexuality, so it’s rather fitting to me that it make a come back in the porn world. I never thought I’d ever say this about a porn film, but I am definitely looking forward to its release. I only wish I had written it.

Xena Warrior Princess XXX An Exquisite Films Parody will be released on DVD September 26

Way Of The Samurai 4 ships TODAY and with this auspicious moment the folks over at Acquire games have released this interesting launch trailer…yeah,”interesting”.

This is obviously a game that doesn’t take itself too seriously. With Saints Row absurd costumes and activities, this looks like something I’d love to play. 1:09 of the trailer is probably the funniest thing I’ve seen all week. From the video release:

PS3 exclusive Way of the Samurai 4 takes place in the harbor town of Amihama, several years after the arrival of the “black ships” from the West ended Japan’s long history of cultural isolation. Will you aid the traditional isolationists in their attempts to exile this potential threat to the Japanese way of life? Will you aid the shogunate government in their attempts to keep the peace and establish cordial (but limited) relations with the foreigner contingent? Or will you aid the foreigners in their attempts to establish silk trade and foster cultural exchange, even at the expense of a few traditions? Who will you support? Who will you betray?

Way Of The Samurai 4 ships today and is available on PS3

Welp. This is it. The end of Cybertron as we know it. At least we get a proper send-off from Peter Cullen in this launch trailer for Transformers: Fall of Cybertron.

Transformers: Fall of Cybertron is out now for PS3, Xbox 360 and PC.

What I think is going to be the greatest game of 2012, Counter Strike: Global Offensive, gets a launch trailer. No words are needed. You should just watch.

This damned source film maker is awesome! Counter Strike: Global Offensive comes out August 21st. I have it preordered…DO YOU?

Just out of Cologne is a trailer for Naughty Dogs newest game, The Last of Us. This is the most uncomfortable yet “I-can’t-look-away” trailer I’ve seen all year. This game is the reason I will go buy a PS3. Watch with me.

The Last of Us doesn’t have a release date yet, but check out the official website for more details and to pre-order the game.

This years GamesCom is turning out to be more fun than E3! So, if Isaac is realizing that people keep dying around him, why doesn’t he just friggin off himself?! Wouldn’t that be funny if this is how the game ends? You kill yourself…hmmm… ANYWAY take a gander at this new trailer for Dead Space 3!

Dead Space 3 hits shelves February 5th, 2013!

You may as well not even go to GamesCom anymore. Just sit right here at good ole’ Geekscape and enjoy all the news. Now we bring you the newest DmC trailer. We get some more of the narrative given to us as opposed to the last trailer we got.

Now, after seeing this I am back on the fence. He doesn’t even SOUND like Dante anymore. DAFUQ YOU DOING CAPCOM?!?!?

More great news from GamesCom. EA and Crytek have announced their new mulitplayer mode for their upcoming release, Crysis 3. “Hunter Mode” lets players actually be the predator, like the one who hunted Arnold, up against 14  CELL soldiers. Take a peak at the release trailer below.

Now aside from the slightly annoying robotic voice narrating every kill, this looks like it could be really, really fun. From what I can gather, the hunters only have bows and melee kills at their arsenal, while the CELL soldiers have numbers and gadgets on their side. “Hunter Mode” is looking to be a nice selling point for Crysis 3.

Crysis 3 is slated to be released sometime in 2013 on Xbox, PS3 and PC.

GamesCom is the conference that keeps on giving. Now we get a peak at an exclusive trailer for Resident Evil 6! This trailer  centers around Jake and Ashley fighting some baddies in a cabin with a nice escape! Check it out below!

Resident Evil 6 hits shelves October 2nd!

Team 17 recently put up the in-game intro players will see in Worms: Revolution. We get a nice glimpse at the gameplay and graphics as we are “serenaded” by Matt Berry’s luscious voice. Do yourself a favor, sit down with some Whiskey, and watch this trailer. Enjoy!

Worms: Revolution hits PC, Xbox 360 and PS3 this September.

With Gamescom just around the corner, Ubisoft is starting to dish out some pre-tradeshow hype. They just released a new trailer for the multiplayer portion of Assassin’s Creed III. Along the lines as “The Corporation” from Aliens, we get a product demo for the Animus from a lovely Abstergo employee. Take a gander below.

I never personally played any of the Assassin’s Creed multiplayer modes. It all seemed WAY to stressful to be hunted by real people. This iteration looks like it will be even more in depth with more game modes. PLUS! You can be a big breasted woman! I’M SOLD!

So, every so often a trailer comes around that reveals a comedy that everyone should be adding to their “must see” list. This definitely looks like one. With a cast that includes Charlie Hunnam, Chris O’Dowd, Lizzy Caplan, Chris Noth and Ron Perlman as a woman…how could you NOT want to see this?

Frank Bartlett (Charlie Hunnam) has been tortured, embarrassed and humiliated by his brother Bruce (Chris O’Dowd) – usually on film – his entire life. Now that Bruce is finally off drugs and has turned his life around, things should be different. They are not.

3, 2, 1…Frankie Go Boom is in theaters October 12.

So I’ve heard some things about this game. Seen it up online, but it never really got my juices flowing. Be that for the greater good or not. Then I saw this extended trailer and fell in love. It immediately reminded me Septerra Core, but funny. Check out the trailer below.

The game is only just been released. You can find it, pretty much everywhere. Also, the lead character is named RUFUS.

The hyper stylized hack and slash Juggernaut, Devil May Cry is getting a reboot, and we just got eyes on the possible new title (DmC, just DmC) and a great look at the environments with this new trailer. TAKE A GANDER!

Not only do we have this trailer, but we have some new screens too!

This lovely gamer can be labeled as only one thing right now. “Excited”. I was a little apprehensive, as was most of the gaming world, that the new look for Dante was a move in the wrong direction. Even after Ninja Theory said it was based on Nolan’s Dark Knight films, we weren’t impressed. After seeing this trailer I’m sold. The gritty J-Rock sound and crazy hyper weird world colored with words that one would find in a Hot Topic employees diary make for a very fun looking game.

So, the trailer only has three new bits of footage but I don’t think any of us has a problem with that at all. Something is better than nothing right?

The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey is in theaters December 14th, 2012

Last night me and fellow Scott Alminiana caught a midnight showing of Total Recall and during the trailers we both looked at each other and realized that we were about to see the trailer for Red Dawn. While the official trailer has not been released online yet I can tell you that it looks pretty damn good and very much like the original. And that’s a very good thing. What I can show is this teaser that Entertainment Tonight showed giving you guys a first look at it.

In Red Dawn, a city in Washington state awakens to the surreal sight of foreign paratroopers dropping from the sky – shockingly, the U.S. has been invaded and their hometown is the initial target. Quickly and without warning, the citizens find themselves prisoners and their town under enemy occupation. Determined to fight back, a group of young patriots seek refuge in the surrounding woods, training and reorganizing themselves into a guerilla group of fighters. Taking inspiration from their high school mascot, they call themselves the Wolverines, banding together to protect one another, liberate their town from its captors, and take back their freedom.

Red Dawn invades theaters November 2, 2012.

We got an international trailer not too long ago and now the domestic one has hit. Liam Neeson is back to unleash his certain set of skills! With this and the two Skyfall trailers earlier…I don’t know if the site can handle any more bad-ass for the day.

Liam Neeson returns as Bryan Mills, the retired CIA agent with a particular set of skills who stopped at nothing to save his daughter Kim from Albanian kidnappers. When the father of one of the kidnappers swears revenge and takes Bryan and his wife hostage during their family vacation in Istanbul, Bryan enlists Kim to help them escape, and uses the same advanced level of special forces tactics to get his family to safety and systematically take out the kidnappers one by one.

Taken 2 unleashes into theaters October 5th.

Thanks to the people over at MTV Geek we have the first trailer for DC’s upcoming animated feature, Batman: The Dark Knight Returns, Part One. This upcoming animated movie is based on the classic Frank Miller graphic novel of the same name.

Get More: MTV Shows

It’s been a decade since Bruce Wayne hung up his cape, following most of the other superheroes who had been forced into retirement. Facing the downside of middle age, a restless Bruce Wayne pacifies his frustration with race cars and liquor – but the bat still beckons as he watches his city fall prey to gangs of barbaric criminals known as The Mutants.

The return of Harvey Dent as Two-Face finally prompts Wayne to once again don the Dark Knight’s cowl, and his dramatic capture of the villain returns him to crime-fighting – simultaneously making him the target of law enforcement and the new hope for a desolate Gotham City. Particularly inspired is a teenage girl named Carrie, who adopts the persona of Robin and ultimately saves Batman from a brutal attack by the Mutant leader. Armed with a new sidekick, and re-energized with a definitive purpose, the Dark Knight returns to protect Gotham from foes new…and old.

Batman: The Dark Knight Returns, Part One goes on sale September 25th, 2012!

Check out the first trailer for Silent Hill: Revelation which looks just as creepy as the first movie.

Heather Mason and her father have been on the run, always one step ahead of dangerous forces that she doesn’t fully understand, Now on the eve of her 18th birthday, plagued by horrific nightmares and the disappearance of her father, Heather discovers she’s not who she thinks she is. The revelation leads her deeper into a demonic world that threatens to trap her forever.

Silent Hill: Revelation
hits theaters on October 26th.

The first footage from The Wachowski’s and Tom Tykwer’s (director of Run Lola RunCloud Atlas has made its way online and looks utterly phenomenal. The adaptation of David Mitchell’s epic labrynth of a novel stars Tom Hanks, Halle Berry, Susan Sarandon, Keith David, Jim Broadbent, Hugo Weaving, Jim Sturgess, Doona Bae, Ben Wishaw, James D’Arcy and Zhou Xun.

The powerful, inspiring epic Cloud Atlas explores how the actions and consequences of individual lives impact one another throughout the past, the present and the future, as one soul is shaped from a killer into a hero, and a single act of kindness ripples across centuries to inspire a revolution

Cloud Atlas is set to be released on October 26, 2012.

From the looks of the new multiplayer trailer for Transformers: Fall of Cybertron, everything we at Geekscape loved about the multiplayer in War for Cybertron is back. More customizations, bigger maps and faster gameplay will make jumping into multiplayer worth it when Fall of Cybertron releases August 21st. I just hope the customization of your character allows for me to make a Dinobot to use.

With the release of Sleeping Dogs looming, Square Enix decided to let loose another walkthrough video to tease us even more. This time, United Front Games’ Producer Dan Sochan narrates a mission that has Wei Shen doling out some street justice for Golden Koi’s owner, Mrs. Chu.

From the driving to the amazing combat scenarios that play out in the mission walkthrough, I am yearning to play Sleeping Dogs. All the points are hit for an action movie lover such as myself. Fast cars with the sense of darting in and out of traffic at really unsafe speeds, Seamless transitions from cutscene to action, fluid combat that makes Batman lurk in the dark filled with envy and story beats that any Hong Kong action film fan would be happy with. Ok, enough with the talking. Just push the damn button already!

Sleeping Dogs releases on PC, Xbox 360 and PS3 on August 14th, which is still not soon enough for me.

Today, July 4th. American Independence Day. And on one of the most historically auspicious days for our country we are reminded of our fight for independence by a French video game developer. Check out the newest trailer for AC3 sent to us by Ubisoft!

Damn. That was REALLY good. Ubisoft definitely took a note from the Halo adverts with this one. The hype for this game just will not stop, and I am SO excited for its release. Hopefully what Ubisoft shows us at San Diego Comic Con will keep this hype train rolling.

And I hope that you laugh at the fact that this is the UK marketing trailer as well.

So, I am actually not a fan of the original ‘Total Recall’ due to how far it drifted from the Phillip K. Dick story that it originated from. I know…blasphemy right? But half the people I’ve told about this didn’t even realize that ‘Total Recall’ is based off of ‘We Can Remember It For You Wholesale’. When when they announced that they were doing a movie that actually kept to the source material I was excited. With an awesome cast including some gorgeous women and some great looking effects…how could I not be excited for this?

Find out what is real and what is recall on August 3rd.
