UPDATE: He Is The Law! See The First Trailer For ‘Dredd’ In HD

Previously seen in lower resolution…the official HD version has made its way online thanks to Machinima. Check out the first trailer for the Pete Travis-directed ‘Dredd’, starring Karl Urban and Olivia Thirlby

The story of Dredd takes place on a fictional Earth created as a result of the Atomic Wars. Survivors of this period are living in megacities, which protects its citizens from the Cursed Earth, a radioactive desert environment populated by mutants. The main story takes place in Mega-City One, where the police who are now called judges have the power to use police brutality to some extent to fight extreme murders. One man, Judge Dredd (Karl Urban), a senior law enforcement officer, teams up with a cadet called Judge Anderson (Olivia Thirlby) to track down a terrorist organization lead by Ma-Ma (Lena Headey), who is responsible for selling a reality-altering drug called Slo-Mo.

He is the law on September 21st.

New SimCity Trailer Released!

In the hustle and bustle of E3, sometimes great gems get lost in the fray. Case in point, EA and MAXIS released a new trailer for their upcoming SimCity sequel, titled SimCity. Check it out below.

Color me two shades excited and a slight gradient of worried. It says SimCity which makes me believe this is some kind of “REBOOT” for the series. The trailer gives me a real big SOCIETIES vibe, which is their dumber version of SimCity. I can’t say for sure.

The new GlassBox engine makes it look fabulous. If they retain the great bits from SimCity 3000 and SimCity4. Then this new iteration will be great!

This ‘Django Unchained’ International Trailer Will Give You Some Sugar

Well, they had my curiosity. Now they have my attention. This trailer is definitely more Tarantino style than the last one and come Christmas day I am sure many of us will be in theaters with smiles on our faces.

UPDATE: HD Version Of ‘The Dark Knight Rises’ Footage From MTV Movie Awards

Well, Warner Bros and MTV are ripping down every available version of this video that hits the net.

Did I find a version that’s still up? I sure did. Sadly i’m unable to embed the video but I can give you a link to it. It’s definitely about to raise your excitement levels for this movie if they have not already peaked.

First we had the movie poster released this week for The Dark Knight Rises. Everyone here at Geekscape was a little underwhelmed and tried to forget about it. Then, we got the character posters which made our nerd boners rise at attention.

In the onslaught of The Dark Knight Rises media blitz this week, two new TV spots where shown during the American Idol finale. If you didn’t sit and watch, captivated by who was going to win a recording contract, you are in luck.

Here are the two TV spots showcasing Bruce Wayne trying to get back into the game and Selina Kyle, well just being Selina Kyle.

Battlefield 3: Close Quarters Donya Fortress Gameplay Trailer

Holy shit. HOLY SHIT! I was excited for the 2nd expansion pack to Battlefield 3, but after this trailer I am practically climaxing at my desk. Check it out below

This expansion (Close Quarters) focuses on small maps that expand vertically more than outwardly. Think old school Rainbow 6. From this trailer we can see some new weapons. Spot the silenced .44 Mag and win a prize!

All the indoor destruction makes my already beefy video card tremble. I cannot wait to recreate scenes from The Matrix and Hard Boiled with this expansion.
