Well Whovians, the time is upon you.

Well, okay maybe not yet. There’s still a bit of waiting to do before the new 50th anniversary special premieres. But who isn’t excited to see the return of David Tennant (along with Matt Smith) in The Day of the Doctor?

This is the first time the modern-era series will feature two different incarnations of The Doctor and fans are excited to say the least. Billie Piper also returns to the series as Rose Tyler, another fan favorite from the Doctor Who timeline.

And John Hurt (V for Vendetta, Hellboy) isn’t exactly small time either, is he?

The new 75 minute episode The Day of the Doctor will air November 23rd on BBC America and is written by Stephen Moffat.

In other Who news, writer Mark Gatiss (Doctor Who, Sherlock) wrote An Adventure in Space and Time, starring David Bradley (Harry Potter movies, Broadchurch), Brian Cox (Red, Bourne Supremacy), Jessica Raine (The Woman in Black, Call the Midwife) and Sacha Dhawan (After Earth). This one follows the making of Doctor Who starting with William Hartnell, the first Doctor. Also airing is a special documentary looking at the science behind the popular show and Me, You and Doctor Who, which covers the cultural significance of the long running television show.

Are you excited? Let us know how you will be celebrating the new season. Geronimo!

PAX Prime is over and it’s time to sift through the ashes! The brain trust of Noah Roman, Garrett Medina and Ash Paulsen join me this week to discuss everything that they witnessed in Seattle! What were the highlights from the weekend? How is PAX different than E3? Is the 2DS still a joke? What games are we looking forward to the most? Were there any indies that jumped out? Does Garrett play too much Pokémon? And Ash and Garrett talk about meeting Mega Man creator Keiji Inafune! It’s a packed episode of video game talk so you’re not going to want to miss it!

Warning: The following review contains spoilers!

Marvel Knights’ new release, Ultimate Wolverine Vs. Hulk, based on the comic series of the same name, is a highly entertaining variation of the storyline. Writer Damon Lindelof (Lost, Star Trek: Into Darkness) brings the plot to film with the help of artist Leinil Francis Yu (Secret Invasion) and colorist Dave McCaig.

The story is simple. The Hulk was sentenced to death for murdering over 600 people, 60+ of them being children, so Nick Fury and S.H.I.E.L.D. killed him with a nuclear bomb. The problem is, it turns out that’s not enough to kill Hulk. Fury then enlists Wolverine to find Bruce Banner and kill him.

The catch? There’s a little bit more going on behind the scenes, as usual with S.H.I.E.L.D. The Hulk’s ex, a S.H.I.E.L.D. agent, just might still be in love with him, and her coworker may have just solved the problem with Banner’s Hulk Formula.

http://youtu.be/CThLutcEr-M

As Wolverine tries to track him down, the storyline jumps from him to Fury to Hulk/Banner’s points of view, which at times can begin to get a little frustrating. And the episode that focuses on Banner’s travels and struggles with anger is a bit slow-moving. Other than that, the film is fun. The addition of humor to the storyline really helped, with small quips and jokes that are reminiscent of The Avengers. If for no other reason, it’s worth watching just to find out the answer to the age-old joke, “What does Wolverine do to get through the metal detectors at the airport?”

And if that’s not enough, no matter how badass you thought Wolverine was in the past, the opening of this film will prove you wrong when he is torn in half by Hulk and crawls four miles to the top of a mountain to get back his legs. Intense!

Ultimate Hulk vs. Wolverine incorporates a few other fan-favorites, such as Tony Stark, Captain America and a certain female who is large an green as well. The references to pop culture and films (Star Wars, for example) add some fun to the storyline.

This is part of a series of comic adaptations Shout! Factory and Marvel Knights has released. The only other one I’ve personally seen was Astonishing X-Men: Unstoppable, which was decent. It definitely does take some time to get used to the limited movement in the artwork, especially when compared to everyday cartoons and animated films.

Marvel Knights: Ultimate Wolverine Vs. Hulk, is available September 10th and can be preordered on Amazon. Or, you could always enter to win a copy!

Ultimate Hulk vs. Wolverine scores a worthy 4/5.

I want to scream it from the rooftops. “I’VE GOT THE NEW TRANSFORMERS MASTERPIECE SOUNDWAVE!” But nobody in my neighborhood would care, so I’m sharing the news with you instead.

The wife and I were at Toys R Us and she had to ask customer service a question. As we got the answer and turned to walk away, I noticed giant black boxes with half of a Decepticon symbol showing on the side. “What are those?” I asked innocently.

The woman grabbed the biggest one, turned it around, and said “Oh it’s some new Transformers thing. Soundwave, it’s called.” But when I learned of the price ($119.99) I had to walk away from it. We can’t be spending over $100 on a collectible toy that will adorn a shelf.

Or could we?

After a coupon and a few hours of research/thinking, I decided I should splurge. After all, these toys are so hard to get, I never thought I would ever see one in real life. Plus my birthday is coming. So a few hours later I called and asked them to hold it for me, and since they still had it I took that as a sign.

And now it’s mine. I opened it, because of course I’m going to. Soundwave was easily my favorite (and the coolest) Decepticon. Plus, when I think back to the 1980s, he was my first Transformer, a Christmas gift from my parents. I spent the whole day ignoring people and their questions, changing him from robot to cassette player over and over and over. I’d never seen a toy like it. It was practically two toys. Then the cartoon came out, and I’ve been a huge Transformers fan ever since.

But this toy…wow. Can it even be called a toy? It is truly a masterpiece. It has more detail than any Transformer I’ve ever seen. Plus it comes with five, count ‘em, five cassettes: Buzzsaw, Laserbeak, Rumble, Frenzy and Ravage. All of the classic cassettes. That’s not it though! It has one of the clear Energon Cubes, which we 1980s Transformers geeks all know Soundwave made as they stole energy from humans. Still not enough? It has Megatron in gun form for Soundwave to fire as well!

Negatives? Not many besides the price. Yes, the directions are the usual Hasbro images with no text, and there’s a step or two that is a bit frustrating until you figure them out. Even though he transforms in pretty much the same way as the original, there’s a hidden button or two that, if you don’t notice them, will definitely frustrate you. The cassettes transform in a different manner as well, such as the birds: their weapons are now attached to them and don’t need to be added after.

Hasbro has truly gone above and beyond for us true grown-up Transformers lovers. This is probably the coolest toy/collectible I have ever purchased. Yes, it was a bit expensive, and I’ll never ask for another one again (the child in me laughs at that phrase) but it’s the best.

If you love Transformers, this piece is a must-have.

Jacob Lopez is Geekscape’s longest running videogame writer! Six years ago, Jacob (known as Jake108 around these parts) asked to do a preview of Halo 3 for the site and the rest is history. Now on the verge of GTA 5, Batman Arkham Origins and the rest of the Fall releases, Jake and I sit down to talk about what’s exciting and not so exciting. We also provide an update on the PS4 vs XBox One debate and discuss the drawbacks of buying on Day 1 Also, Josh Jackson calls in to offer his 2 cents on the debate and talk about why he’s not going to replay Wind Waker and a familiar Geekscapist calls in to talk about removing my skin! Yippee!

orphanblackYou mean to tell me you missed it? Orphan Black, the story of Sarah Manning, a drifter who finds out the hard way that she’s a clone, is returning for an encore presentation starting Saturday, September 14th on BBC America. What is “finding out the hard way”, you ask? She watches a woman commit suicide at a train station and only after trying to rob her does she realize the woman is her exact duplicate. So what does she do? Steal her identity, of course!

What Sarah doesn’t know (at first) is that she’s stolen the identity of a police officer. She’s then forced into the role as she learns more about her past, herself, and begins meeting more and more of her clones.

Why should you watch? How about to see Tatiana Maslany (Diary of the Dead, The Vow), who was nominated for quite a few awards for the role. She plays multiple characters (she’s a clone, duh), and is rather excellent. She even does a variety of accents, since many of the clones come from different countries.

If her acting and hotness aren’t enough, her brother Felix, played by Jordan Gavaris, adds a level of sarcastic comedy and hilariously negative one-liners that make for guaranteed laughs. He gives Orphan Black a comedic side that at times it needs, with some of the dark characters that viewers eventually learn are pulling the strings.

The best part of watching is trying to decide which clone is the hottest. Yes, it sounds dumb since they’re all played by the same actor, but she is so good, you find yourself forgetting they’re all the same person in real life.

I have to admit, I only caught this show because of the multitude of commercials they aired during last season’s Doctor Who, but I am certainly glad the commercials made me curious.

Of course, if you did catch the show first time around, you likely agree it is absolutely worth seeing again. It airs at 10:00 P.M. on BBC America starting September 14th.

F.J. DeSanto is a film producer whose credits include Frank Miller’s ‘The Spirit’ (but I love him for producing the animated ‘Turok: Son of Stone’)! But he’s also a comic book writer! Now he’s on Geekscape talking about his new Archaia comic book ‘Cyborg 009’, based on the classic manga from legendary creator Shotaro Ishinomori! I also talk some Turok (because Turok is awesome) and F.J. helps to explain the new climate of creator ownership in comics, including the BOOM! and Archaia acquisition! PLUS! Ian Kerner calls up to talk about Ben Affleck being cast as Batman in Man of Steel 2!

This is it! Geekscape 300! It’s Shark Week! So of course we have to have ‘Sharknado’ writer Thunder Levin on the show to talk about the biggest TV hit of the summer! Among the things we’ll be covering: where did the idea come from, why writer Sharknado but not ‘Shark Storm’ and the revelation of Ian Ziering as a big time action hero! Was anyone prepared for the Sharknado craze (could they ever be!?!)? Also, what’s with all of the remakes and comic book adaptations and it is killing the movie going experience? Is VOD the new VHS? What’s the story behind ‘Mutant Vampire Zombies in the Hood’ and how can we bring it back?!?

This is it, the best breakdown of ‘The Wolverine’ that you’re going to get from the best source around. X-Pert Ian Kerner cuts through The Wolverine and dissects what works and doesn’t work in this fun entry in the X-Men saga. Did they have to deviate from the comics? How did the movie have more in common with the X-Men storyline than the Claremont and Miller mini-series? Were the Silver Samurai or Viper depictions up to snuff? How does The Wolverine fit in and rank with the rest of the X-Men films? What’s coming up in Days of Future Past? Here are all the answers, in complete Ian Kerner glory!

Let us know if you’re planning to attend! We hope to see you there!

It’s time to talk giant robots fighting Kaiju monsters! ‘Pacific Rim’ is two weeks away from hitting theaters and this week we’ve got ‘Pacific Rim’s screenwriter Travis Beacham in studio to talk about the upcoming film, working with Guillermo Del Toro and the comic book hardback prequel ‘Pacific Rim: Tales From Year Zero’! Travis and I talk about the bringing Pacific Rim to theaters, the joy of creating the comic book and the current trend of remakes versus original ideas. Does Pacific Rim feel like a breathe of fresh air or a Hollywood risk? Also, what was it like growing up as a geek and probably the best Star Wars Episode 1 story of all time! Plus! We say goodbye to Richard Matheson, one of the greatest horror writers of all time!

Also, don’t miss our very own Allie Hanley’s original interview with Travis about ‘Pacific Rim’ and his upcoming ‘Ballistic City’!

The ‘Man of Steel’ has flown into theaters and geeks are as divided about it as two halves of an exploding Krypton! What was there to love? What was there to hate? How did it compare to the comics or earlier depictions of Superman? There is a ton to talk about! Luckily, our resident comics expert, Ian Kerner, is here to help us navigate all of the issues? Does ‘Man of Steel’ do a good job of setting up the future of the DC cinematic universe? If you listen to one assessment of ‘Man of Steel’, this one should be it! PLUS: We say a sad goodbye to James Gandolfini, beloved among TV and film geeks everywhere.

After 3 weeks, Lynn Ayala returns to Geekscape towards the end of her successful Kickstarter campaign for ‘Lily’! This time she brings along Lily creator David Simkins, who just so happens to also be an Executive Producer on ‘Warehouse 13’ and ‘Grimm’! We talk a little about Lily and moving forward into production, where David got the inspiration for the character and how it has developed over the past year. We also talk about his career, which started with writing ‘Adventures in Baby Sitting’ and carried through stints on ‘The Adventures of Brisco County Jr.’, ‘Lois and Clark’, ‘Blade’ and more! We get some writing talk going! Plus! 6-Time Top Fuel champion racer Clay Millican calls in to teach us all what a real man sounds like… and more!

‘Blood Kiss’ is an upcoming Vampire Noire film from television writer Michael Reaves, that stars Neil Gaiman and Amber Benson! Yes, Neil Gaiman is acting in it! After successfully hitting their Kickstarter goals, producers Daniela Di Mase and Leah Cevoli arrive on Geekscape to talk about the project’s stretch goals as well as what a “Vampire Noire” is in the first place! Daniela talks about getting Neil involved in the project and Leah shares her love of all things vampires! Oh, and I kind of give Leah a hard time about her vampire teeth while asking if I can have a special role in the film!

Cool thing from the episode: After listening, comic book and Blood Kiss artist Tom Mandrake drew this picture of me in my starring role:
stake_TomMandrake

We run from tipoff to buzzer on this episode of Geekscape! Kenny is back in the studio and we kick off a discussion about how much fun ‘Star Trek into Darkness’ is and what everyone’s worries are about the newly announced Xbox One! Actor and producer Orlando Jones calls in to talk about his new Machinima Prime series ‘Tainted Love’ and its comic book origins (really, you should be watching it)! We also talk about the upcoming show ‘Sleepy Hollow’ and how it really is a geek labor of love for show runners Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman! Also, how is the new digital distribution age giving new opportunities to creators to finally be the geeks they truly are?!? PLUS! Geekscape friend Leah Cevoli calls up to talk about ‘The Night Visitor’, an alien feature film shot in 5 days that could use your Kickstarter love!

Lily.  If she’s on your case, she’s going to crack it.  Hard.

With a tagline like that, It’s a wonder that Lily hasn’t far exceeded its goal already. The project is well on its way to being funded, but if you want to see an amazing crime drama unlike anything you’ve seen before, Lily needs your help.

Lily has some incredible talent behind it. The series was created by Warehouse 13 and Grimm showrunner David Simkins (who also has a plethora of other credits under his belt, including Human Target and Blade: The Series), and stars Lynn Ayala (Starship: Rising) as the show’s titular character. The Event‘s D.B. Sweeny will play Lily’s LAPD badge touting ex-husband, while Michael Nankin of Defiance and Battlestar Galactica fame will direct the action-packed pilot. A very cool, and very important member of the team, homicide detective Sal LaBarbera, whose decades of expertise will serve him well in his Consulting Producer and Technical Advisor roles.

Just last week, Lynn and Sal sat down with Jonathan in the ToadHop studio to chat about all things Lily. Their hour-long conversation shows just how passionate the two are about their roles, and had me logging in to Kickstarter before the episode was even over. If you want to get a look at the driving force behind this amazing project, watch the episode below, and read on for more details.

Lily sounds impressive, doesn’t it? The project has amassed nearly half of its $10’000 goal in just two weeks time, but it still needs your support! The pilot needs just under $6000 for production to start, and there are some fantastic perks available for project backers: digital downloads, autographed items, temporary tattoos, official soundtracks, and even walk on roles.

Watch Lily‘s Kickstarter video below, and head here to back the project! You can also check Lily out on twitter, Facebook, and its official website!

We first met actress Lynn Ayala last year at San Diego Comic Con when she helped promote ‘Space Command’ at the Geekscape booth! Now, she’s back with ‘Lily’, a brand new project written by Warehouse 13 and Grimm show runner David Simkins and directed by Battlestar Gallactica and Defiance director Michael Nankin. The Lily just launched a Kickstarter campaign and needs your help! Also in the studio is LA murder detective Sal LaBarbera, a 27 year big city detective. The two of them talk about the research for Lily, Lynn’s first experience seeing a dead body and the level of detail present in the show. Sal also tells us about the different actors and actresses that he’s shown the nastier side of LA on ride alongs and Lynn tries to stand up for her couch sitting friend!

Brandon Easton is a comic book and TV writer who has been a friend of Geekscape for a while now! In TV, Brandon wrote on the most recent Thundercats series and in comics, Brandon started out by writing his original graphic novel ‘Shadowlaw’. Now, Brandon arrives to talk about ‘Joshua Run’, a brand new digital comic he has coming out soon from Lion Forge Comics. We take this opportunity to talk about the future of comics and digital comics and what Brandon is reading right now. Is Transformers one of the best Sci-Fi books on the shelves right now? Yes, it is. Also, how has Brandon dealt with the issues of prejudice in the comic book industry? Plus! We say goodbye to the legendary Ray Harryhausen and give our thoughts on ‘Iron Man 3’!

This week on the show we’ve got Adrian Askarieh, producer of the film versions of ‘Hitman’ and the upcoming ‘Deus Ex’! We’ll talk about returning to the Hitman franchise, what it takes to make a solid adaptation and whether or not the future of Hollywood lies in video game properties! We’ll also discuss ‘Iron Man 3’ and what films this summer look to be the biggest at the Box Office! Ian Kerner also calls in to opine the destruction (or lack thereof of Krypton! Plus, are comic book adaptations drying up the source material and how is the landscape of Hollywood becoming more homogenized? PLUS! I revisit memories from my earliest days in broadcasting!

Almost 20 years ago, one of the most notorious comic book films of all time was produced: Roger Corman’s ‘The Fantastic Four’! For most of its existence, this unreleased gem, which fans either loved or bemoaned, was only available through bootleg fan copies at comic book conventions. A VHS or DVD copy was the Holy Grail of Geekdom! Now, on the eve of production on the documentary ‘Doomed: The Untold Story of Roger Corman’s “Fantastic Four” Movie’, original cast members Rebecca Staab, Joseph Culp, Carl Ciarfalio and documentary producer Mark Sikes (who was a casting assistant on the film) talk about what it was like making the film, being in the film and looking back 20 years later! Geekscapist Satori claims “This is a really great ep, probably my favorite since you’ve been on Toadhop.” and “This is BRILLIANT!!!!” Who are we to argue with a longtime Geekscapist? Enjoy!

You may have seen the event on Facebook. You might have even seen the tweets about it. We’re here again to remind you that this week’s Geekscape episode is going to be amazing (and if you’re new to the Geekscape show, you can watch it via live streaming)!

If you’ve been to any comic conventions in the past 15 years, you’ve likely picked up (or at least been offered) a bootleg of the 1994 Fantastic Four movie. Produced by low-budget guru Roger Corman, The Fantastic Four production was so troubled that it was never officially released, dooming it to a life as the low quality, illegitimate bootleg that we know and love today.

This week, only on our ToadHop Network live broadcast at 6pm PST, we’ll be talking to three of the film’s prominent cast members, and one crew member who is now working on a documentary exploring the entire Fantastic Four event. Here’s who is confirmed so far:

-Rebecca Staab, who played Sue Storm/Richards.

-Carl Ciarfalio,  The Thing himself.

-Joseph Culp, the man behind Dr. Doom.

-Mark Sikes, casting assistant on The Fantastic Four, and producer of the upcoming feature length documentary Doomed: The Untold Story of Roger Corman’s ‘The Fantastic Four’.

The show is going to be a blast, and it’s going to be incredibly interesting to hear stories about the film’s production from these four. Again, watch the show live on The ToadHop Network tomorrow at 6PM, and don’t forget to call in at 323-622-8623 if you’ve got questions!

Need a refresher before the show? Watch all 90 minutes of The Fantastic Four below, and get those questions ready!

It’s time to talk about the horror movie ‘Rabid Love’ with writer director Paul J. Porter and star Hayley Derryberry! What 80s horror films did they use as inspiration and what were the challenges in putting together this small budget, indie horror film? Paul and Hayley’s friend Kimberly Wong comes on to talk about Coachella, take a few Instagrams and share in the passion! Matt Kelly rings up to talk the best death’s in the Friday the 13th movies and how Prophecy still rules supreme and Allie Hanley tells everyone to go see ‘Oblivion’, ‘Defiance’ and ‘DaVinci’s Demons’! We talk the awesome new ‘Man of Steel’ trailer and Shawn Madden makes sure to put all rumors about an expanded DC cinematic universe to rest! PLUS! We all meet American Bob!

As you likely know, the Psycho and Hannibal Lecter series of films have now been given the contemporary prequel treatment on the small screen. In the last 40 days, Bates Motel debuted on A&E, while Hannibal premiered on NBC during the WonderCon weekend. These two films are among the most iconic in movie history. The question is, if we already know where the series’ must end, how liberal can the television series’ that fill in the gaps really be?

HANNIBAL main cast
HANNIBAL Main Cast

The newer of the two series’, Hannibal so far seems most likely to succeed. Despite being on a network long-known for letting good shows die rather quickly (typically by canceling early), Hannibal seems to be well produced and scripted. The series stars Mads Mikkelsen (CASINO ROYALE) as the titular Dr. Hannibal Lecter, Laurence Fishburne (THE MATRIX TRILOGY) as Jack Crawford and Hugh Dancy (ADAM) as a slightly tweaked version of FBI profiler Will Graham. Fans have seen glimpses of who Will Graham was before Dr. Lecter infected his life, but now we’ll see a different side as it is stated that he likely has Asperger’s Syndrome (a much milder form of Autism). This helps explain the wild imagination and almost total empathy, while shedding light on why he insists on limited social interaction and almost no eye contact. It also fits with the “all business” personality of the character that we saw from Edward Norton in Red Dragon. What we really need to see is how the “good” doctor progresses throughout the series. At the moment, he’s played rather well by Mikkelsen, though not nearly as creepily as by Hopkins. Not yet anyway. That may occur as we get farther down the line. Most of the menace from the character is what we, as fans, infer upon it. Since we know the endgame, we read more into it than may even be there, but I get the feeling that it’s exactly what the show runners are banking on at this point. NBC isn’t skimping on the creepy/shock factor for the crimes that the team investigates, that’s for sure. There are 13 episodes ordered for the first season, and so far they’re rather good, but fans deserve and desire more, and we’re hoping the content keeps improving.

Norman and Norma Bates
Norman and Norma Bates

Bates Motel is the prequel series to Alfred Hitchcock’s most (in)famous film, Psycho. Although we never saw her alive in the film or its sequels, the first certainly gave us a brief insight into Norma Bates. The first few episodes have been very rich and filled with decent characters, but Norman doesn’t yet feel like the Bates we’ve all come to know and be scared of. There’s a creepy factor coming off of Freddie Highmore (CHARLIE AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY) that works for a young Norman Bates, but what I didn’t expect was for him to be a much less socially awkward version of the Norman Bates we all know and hate. Then there’s the real psychopath, his mother Norma, played wonderfully by Vera Farmiga (THE DEPARTED). While she may seem to be little more than a devoted mother, there’s clearly an underlying evil that I was surprised to see in just the first episode.  From there, every awkward moment I’ve seen appears to have the classic Psycho music in the background. Halfway throughout the ten episode first season, it’s already been a very promising start, worthy of the beloved series of horror films.

Dr. Hannibal Lecter
Dr. Hannibal Lecter

We should expect a second season, at least for Bates Motel, as it has already been ordered. We’ll be waiting awhile for NBC  to come to their senses and order a second season of Hannibal. As for whether they’ll do justice to the old stuff, we’ll have to take a look back after the end of these first seasons, but at present they’re working their way to becoming rather impressive. Now, I’d love to tell you it feels exactly the same, but as these characters are younger than their established selves, the fandom will have to decide.

This weekend, ‘It’s a Disaster’ opens, from the comedy troupe The Vacationeers and starring Julia Styles, David Cross and America Ferrara. Director Todd Berger and star Jeff Grace guest to talk about putting together the film about the worst couples brunch of all time! But could it be any worse than me retelling my memories of watching ‘Faces of Death’ at an early age? Todd and I also talk about the resurgence of Alpha Flight, Matt Kelly calls in to offer some Chords for a Cure and Jeff explains how being dropped off at the comic book store as a kid actually scarred the hell out of him! Plus! Con Shoulder Stank and why it stops here!

If you’ve been keeping up with the consistent coverage we’ve been giving Naughty Dog’s upcoming survival/horror/action title, The Last of Us, then you know full well just how excited we are for its release. Every image, every trailer, every clip has been utterly fantastic, and coming from a studio like Naughty Dog, it’s easy to see that The Last of Us is set to be one of the best games of 2013.

To get you up to speed in this terrifying new world, Neil Druckmann, lead writer on The Last of Us, and comic artist/writer/sensation Faith Erin Hicks have crafted a prequel tale that introduces us to the game’s heroine, Ellie, and takes us through her post-apocolypic journey (which of course, eventually leads us to Joel and the events of the game).

Issue #1 of the four issue miniseries is now available at your local comic store. If you’re a digital reader (or outside of North America), you’ll have to wait until April 10th when American Dreams hits Dark Horse Digital.

Take a peek at some preview pages from issue one below! Already pick the book up? Let us know how it is! The Last of Us releases worldwide on June 14th.

Rotten Tomatoes radio host Grae Drake joins me this week to wrap up WonderCon and talk about the brand new ‘Evil Dead’ remake! Does it do justice to the original? Is it too much fan service? Is the tree rape scene necessary? Also, a heavy hearted goodbye to Roger Ebert and a farewell to LucasArts! Is Eli Roth’s ‘Hemlock Grove’ worth watching and will my French Bulldog kill me in my sleep? And what’s the consensus on The Walking Dead’s Season 3 finale? Plus! Sorry, Shane, but ‘Ingress’ is a disappointment!
