Did you know that Keanu Reeves was directing a movie? It’s a martial-arts film called Man of Tai Chiand aside from who it stars, we really don’t know anything about it at this point! Reeves will play the film’s villain, while Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon’s Tiger Hu Chen will play the hero. Karen Mok is also rumoured to play an unknown character.

Check out the first poster and some behind-the-scenes stills from Man of Tai Chi below, and let us know what you think! The movie is set to debut later this year!

Hot on the heels of Capcom’s announcement of Ducktales Remastered, Sega has revealed their own contemporary remake of a classic platformer.

Castle of Illusion Starring Mickey Mouse first released for the Sega Genesis on November 20th, 1990. The game received universal acclaim, and was by far one of the console’s most beloved titles until the release of Sonic The Hedgehog in 1991.

Rebuilt from the ground up, Castle of Illusion Starring Mickey Mouse features an awesome new look, and many of the original developers are back to work on the reimagining! The game will hit PC, Xbox 360, and PS3 this Summer! Check out some screenshots and the announcement trailer below, and let us know what you think!

After the phenomenal thrill ride that was 2012’s The Avengers, and with Iron Man 3 hitting theatres in less than a month, you’re more than likely hankering for even more Marvel superhero content. Sadly, we’re still a whole year away from the release of Captain America: The Winter Soldier; the film just began production, and only a single (albeit cool) image has been released.

So, why not head all the way back to 1990, and check out Matt Salinger’s portrayal of Steve Rogers? Starting May 21st, Captain America: The Collector’s Edition will be available for the first time on Blu-Ray. The disc comes complete with a new HD transfer, and never-before-seen interviews with director Albert Pyun and actor Matt Salinger. If you’ve never seen the 1990 adaptation of Captain America, there has never been a better time than now.

Watch the trailer for Captain America below, and let us know what you think! You can pre-order the Blu-Ray on Amazon for the cool price of $10.99.

Long ago, Steve Rogers (Matt Salinger) was a true American hero, a brave super soldier created by scientists to help the Allied Forces fight for freedom in World War II. But during a battle with the sinister Red Skull (Scott Paulin), he was lost, entombed in ice. Decades later, his body has been found and revived and Steve must again don the mantle of Captain America to help save the President of the United States (Ronny Cox) — and the world — from his arch-nemesis once and for all.

It’s been awhile since we’ve seen anything new come from Pacific Rim. Today, Warner Bros. released the film’s first TV spot. This movie is going to be insane; hyper-realistic robots fighting hyper-realistic monsters on a scale that we can’t even fathom. I can’t wait to get in line for this one!

Watch the spot below, and let us know what you think! Pacific Rim hits theatres on July 12th!

When legions of monstrous creatures, known as Kaiju, started rising from the sea, a war began that would take millions of lives and consume humanity’s resources for years on end. To combat the giant Kaiju, a special type of weapon was devised: massive robots, called Jaegers, which are controlled simultaneously by two pilots whose minds are locked in a neural bridge. But even the Jaegers are proving nearly defenseless in the face of the relentless Kaiju. On the verge of defeat, the forces defending mankind have no choice but to turn to two unlikely heroes-a washed up former pilot (Charlie Hunnam) and an untested trainee (Rinko Kikuchi)-who are teamed to drive a legendary but seemingly obsolete Jaeger from the past. Together, they stand as mankind’s last hope against the mounting apocalypse.

Along with a cool new clip for Iron Man 3, tonight’s MTV Movie Awards also featured the premiere of the first trailer for The Hunger Games: Catching Fire. A year after our victor’s return to their homes, President Snow forces them (and other champions) back for another round. So, I guess we can think of Catching Fire as a more violent Survivor: All Stars?

Watch the first trailer for The Hunger Games: Catching Fire below, and let us know what you think! Catching Fire hits theatres on November 22nd.

THE HUNGER GAMES: CATCHING FIRE begins as Katniss Everdeen has returned home safe after winning the 74th Annual Hunger Games along with fellow tribute Peeta Mellark. Winning means that they must turn around and leave their family and close friends, embarking on a “Victor’s Tour” of the districts. Along the way Katniss senses that a rebellion is simmering, but the Capitol is still very much in control as President Snow prepares the 75th Annual Hunger Games (The Quarter Quell) – a competition that could change Panem forever.

Tonight’s MTV Movie Awards premiered a brand new clip for Shane Black’s highly anticipated Iron Man 3. That clip has now made its way online, and as long as you’re in the United States (sadly, it’s region locked), you can check it out below.

Someone, please tell me what happens. MTV isn’t friendly to Canadians.

Iron Man 3 hits theatres on May 3rd.

Marvel Studios’ “Iron Man 3″ pits brash-but-brilliant industrialist Tony Stark/Iron Man against an enemy whose reach knows no bounds. When Stark finds his personal world destroyed at his enemy’s hands, he embarks on a harrowing quest to find those responsible. This journey, at every turn, will test his mettle. With his back against the wall, Stark is left to survive by his own devices, relying on his ingenuity and instincts to protect those closest to him. As he fights his way back, Stark discovers the answer to the question that has secretly haunted him: does the man make the suit or does the suit make the man?

Phase two is nearly here! Disney has just released (another) new TV spot for the insanely anticipated Iron Man 3. This one is called ‘Life’, and features some tiny (tiny) snippets that we haven’t seen before.

This movie looks phenomenal: every trailer, clip, and image has managed to impress, and I’m sure that the feature will not disappoint. Check out the new spot below, and let us know what you think! Iron Man 3 hits theatres on May 3rd!

Nearly 20 minutes of gameplay footage from The Elder Scrolls Online have made their way… well, online. The leaked video takes you through the character creation procedure, as well as into the game itself. Sadly, it becomes clear very quickly that in the RPG to MMO changeover, The Elder Scrolls Online has lost much of the charm that previous games in the series were so damn full of. This one looks like an absolutely generic MMO; without the title, you’d have no idea it was an Elder Scrolls game.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, folks. If this is the product of six-years of development, I wouldn’t expect the final release to feel much less generic (though I won’t stop hoping). Maybe the long rumoured Fallout MMO will fare better?

Watch the footage below (while you can), and let us know what you think.

Paramount today released a new poster for JJ Abrams wildly anticipated Star Trek Into Darkness. This has to be one of the coolest images I’ve seen from the film; simply the scale of this giant, prominent ship falling to Earth makes me shiver in anticipation of seeing it happen on the big screen.

Check out the poster below, and let us know what you think! Star Trek Into Darkness flies into theatres on May 17th.

In Summer 2013, pioneering director J.J. Abrams will deliver an explosive action thriller that takes ‘Star Trek Into Darkness.’ When the crew of the Enterprise is called back home, they find an unstoppable force of terror from within their own organization has detonated the fleet and everything it stands for, leaving our world in a state of crisis.

With a personal score to settle, Captain Kirk leads a manhunt to a war-zone world to capture a one man weapon of mass destruction. As our heroes are propelled into an epic chess game of life and death, love will be challenged, friendships will be torn apart, and sacrifices must be made for the only family Kirk has left: his crew.

Hot on the heels of the awesome Green Lantern trailer from earlier this week, Warner Bros. Interactive and NetherRealm studios have just released the official launch trailer for Injustice: Gods Among Us. The game looks bad-ass, and if you’ve had an opportunity to play the recently released demo, you’ll know that the game plays wonderfully; I can’t wait to get my hands on the retail version and see just what each character has to offer.

There’s just a few more days to wait for this one: Injustice: Gods Among Us hits shelves on April 16th! Can’t wait that long? Hopefully the cool iOS version can make time pass just a bit more quickly.

Watch the launch trailer below, and let us know who you’re most excited to play as!

“Gods Among Us” debuts as a bold new fighting game franchise that introduces a deep, original story featuring a large cast of favorite DC Comics icons such as Batman, Cyborg, Harley Quinn, Nightwing, Deathstroke, Solomon Grundy, Superman, Lex Luthor, The Flash, Green Arrow, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, Aquaman, Bane, Catwoman, Shazam, Black Adam, Raven, the Joker, Doomsday, Killer Frost, Ares and more. Set in a world where the lines between good and evil are blurred, players will experience heroes and villains engaging in epic battles on a massive scale.

Is anyone else unbelievably excited for this?

For me, Rise of the Planet of the Apes was one of the biggest surprises of 2011. The movie was awesome, and far surpassed my (high) expectations for it.

Its sequel, Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, is now in production in the forested land of Vancouver. Dawn is set 15 years after the events of Rise, so it’ll be very interesting to see just what this world has turned into. Dawn of the Planet of the Apes stars Keri Russell, Gary Oldman, Andy Serkis, Jason Clarke, Judy Greer, and more.

Dredd was easily one of last year’s best action films. The movie was artistically violent, incredibly fluid, relentlessly jaw-dropping, and it also had some of the best 3D effects that I’ve ever seen. Sadly, the movie bombed, returning just 36-million of its estimated 45-million dollar budget.

Dredd deserves to be seen, and Dredd absolutely deserves a sequel. Karl Urban and Olivia Thirlby made an incredible team, and it’s terribly sad that we won’t be seeing a Dredd sequel any time soon… at least on screen.

2000AD released a teaser image today with the tagline ‘Did someone mention a sequel?’, and a date of September 2013. It looks like that sequel we’re all so desperate for is going to happen after all, just not in the format we’d hoped.

Our pal Axel Braun just sent this our way, and it’s sure to please Superman and pornography fans alike! Axel’s latest adult parody is just two months from release, and coincidentally will hit shelves just one day after the release of 2013’s arguably biggest film.

That parody? Man of Steel XXX: An Axel Braun Parody. We’ve got the exclusive on the movie’s first poster, and damn does it look cool. That’s one high quality costume that Ryan Driller is wearing.

Take a look at the poster below, and let us know what you think! Man of Steel XXX: An Axel Braun Parody stars Ryan Driller, Eli Cross, Kirsten Price, Skin Diamond, and many more! Again, the film will be available at your local adult video store (and online) on June 14th.

Last month we got our first look at Joss Whedon’s Much Ado About Nothing via the films official trailer. A few days later, the movie premiered at 2013’s SXSW festival to largely positive reviews (read ours here). With the movie getting a wide release this June, LionsGate has released an official theatrical poster for the anticipated project.

Based on the play by William Shakespeare, Joss Whedon’s adaptation is most intriguing not only for the names attached, but the contemporary look and feel of the film. Check out the poster below, and let us know what you think! Much Ado About Nothing hits theatres on June 7th.

While in Messina, Claudio falls for Leonato’s daughter Hero (Jillian Morgese), while Benedick verbally spars with Beatrice (Amy Acker), the governor’s niece. The budding love between Claudio and Hero prompts Don Pedro to arrange with Leonato for a marriage. In the days leading up to the ceremony, Don Pedro, with the help of Leonato, Claudio and Hero, attempts to sport with Benedick and Beatrice in an effort to trick the two into falling in love. Meanwhile, the villainous Don John, with the help of his allies: Conrade (Riki Lindhome) and Borachio (Spencer Treat Clark), plots against the happy couple, using his own form of trickery to try to destroy the marriage before it begins. A series of comic and tragic events continue to keep the two couples from truly finding happiness, but then again perhaps love may prevail.

Following the release of yesterday’s phenomenal trailer, a new batch of images from Neil Blomkamp’s Elysium have made their way online. Neil Blomkamp had his feature-length directorial debut with 2009’s District 9, and was long attached to helm the now-defunt Halo film.

Elysium looks fantastic, and I can’t wait to see what Blomkamp and his team have to show us. Check out the images below, and let us know what you think. Elysium hits theatres on August 9th!

In the year 2159 two classes of people exist: the very wealthy who live on a pristine man-made space station called Elysium, and the rest, who live on an overpopulated, ruined Earth. Secretary Rhodes (Jodie Foster), a hard line government official, will stop at nothing to enforce anti-immigration laws and preserve the luxurious lifestyle of the citizens of Elysium. That doesn’t stop the people of Earth from trying to get in, by any means they can. When unlucky Max (Matt Damon) is backed into a corner, he agrees to take on a daunting mission that if successful will not only save his life, but could bring equality to these polarized worlds.

This is probably the best trailer I’ve seen for this game. Wow.

Warner Bros. Entertainment and NetherRealm Studios today released a new character trailer for their upcoming DC brawler, Injustice: Gods Among Us. This one features our pal Hal Jordan, and shows off plenty of new footage, as well as some very cool moves.

Marketing for Star Trek Into Darkness is now in full force. Following yesterday’s awesome (yet basically footageless) announcement trailer, the first screenshots from Batman: Arkham Origins are now available for your viewing pleasure. The screenshots feature plenty of the baddies we’ll be dealing with in this Arkham prequel, including Deathstroke, Black Mask, and the Penguin.

Now, if you didn’t catch it in the news yesterday, Arkham Origins is not being crafted by Rocksteady. This time around, Warner Bros. Games Montreal is taking care of the game’s development, while Rocksteady works on a secret, not yet announced project. My biggest concern is that this different team won’t be able to match the sheer quality of the first two titles, but as Rocksteady has given the Montreal team its blessing, Origins should turn out pretty fantastic.

Check out the screenshots below (click for larger versions), and let us know what you think! Batman: Arkham Origins (and its portable spinoffBlackgate) hit shelves on October 25th.

Following the hilarious red band trailer from last week, Columbia Pictures has released the first clip from their upcoming end-of-the-world comedy, This is the End.

Along with today’s announcement of Batman: Arkham Origins, Warner Bros. Interactive announced a very exciting portable spinoff.

Very little information was announced about this side project, but we do know that it’s being developed by Armature Studios, a relatively new developer… made up largely of ex Retro Studios employees (creators of the Metroid Prime trilogy). Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate will release for 3DS and Vita on the same day as its console sibling (October 25th). It’s said to be a 2.5D Super Metroid / Castlevania style action game. That sounds absolutely amazing.

Look for more news from both games in the coming weeks. We couldn’t be more excited!

Have you checked into Bates Motel? Enough of you have, apparently, as A&E today renewed the series for a ten episode second season. The series is the highest rated drama in the history of the network (over 4.5 million individuals tuned in for the premiere), so it makes perfect sense that they’ve picked it up again after only three episodes.

“Bates Motel’ has garnered critical acclaim and a loyal audience in its first few weeks,” said A&E president Bob DeBitetto.  “With superb writing and exceptional acting, led by the critically acclaimed performances of Vera Farmiga and Freddie Highmore, we’re incredibly excited to see where Carlton and Kerry take Norma and Norman Bates next.”

Bob’s spot-on with that statement. Bates Motel is by far the most impressive new series I’ve seen this year. The closing scene of each episode (and the events that unfolded before it) consistently leaves me desperate for the next chapter.

Seen the show? Let us know what you think! If you haven’t, I’d wholeheartedly recommend it!

A&E Network has picked up a second season of the acclaimed drama series, “Bates Motel” starring Vera Farmiga and Freddie Highmore from executive producers Carlton Cuse and Kerry Ehrin, it was announced today by Bob DeBitetto, President and General Manager of A&E Network and BIO Channel.

The premiere of “Bates Motel” garnered 4.5 million total viewers and 2.5 million adults 25-54 and 18-49, based on Live+7 viewership, making it the most-watched original drama debut in the key demos in the network’s history.

“Bates Motel’ has garnered critical acclaim and a loyal audience in its first few weeks,” said DeBitetto.  “With superb writing and exceptional acting, led by the critically acclaimed performances of Vera Farmiga and Freddie Highmore, we’re incredibly excited to see where Carlton and Kerry take Norma and Norman Bates next.”

Season two of “Bates Motel” will begin pre-production later this year on ten new episodes slated to premiere in 2014.

“Bates Motel” also stars Max Thieriot (“Disconnect”), Olivia Cooke (“Blackout”), Nicola Peltz (“The Last Airbender) and Nestor Carbonell (“Lost,” “The Dark Knight Rises”).

In “Bates Motel,” following the tragic death of her husband, Norma Bates buys a motel on the outskirts of the idyllic coastal town of White Pine Bay, seeking a fresh start. As Norma and Norman get ensconced in their new home, they discover this town isn’t quite what it seems, and the locals aren’t so quick to let them in on their secrets. But the Bates’ are done being pushed around and will do whatever it takes to survive – and will do whatever it takes to protect their own secrets.

If you’ve been keeping up with the consistent coverage we’ve been giving Naughty Dog’s upcoming survival/horror/action title, The Last of Us, then you know full well just how excited we are for its release. Every image, every trailer, every clip has been utterly fantastic, and coming from a studio like Naughty Dog, it’s easy to see that The Last of Us is set to be one of the best games of 2013.

To get you up to speed in this terrifying new world, Neil Druckmann, lead writer on The Last of Us, and comic artist/writer/sensation Faith Erin Hicks have crafted a prequel tale that introduces us to the game’s heroine, Ellie, and takes us through her post-apocolypic journey (which of course, eventually leads us to Joel and the events of the game).

Issue #1 of the four issue miniseries is now available at your local comic store. If you’re a digital reader (or outside of North America), you’ll have to wait until April 10th when American Dreams hits Dark Horse Digital.

Take a peek at some preview pages from issue one below! Already pick the book up? Let us know how it is! The Last of Us releases worldwide on June 14th.

Last night we showed you a neat new preview for the anticipated television adaptation of Under the Dome. That preview focussed on the dome coming down, and told us to essentially ‘Say Goodbye’ to the outside world. A new promo has just been released, this time showcasing just how heartbreaking this new world can be.

Watch the new preview below, and let us know what you think! Under the Dome looks fantastic, and will premiere this June on CBS!

Following the film’s new trailer from a few days back, Warner Bros. has just unveiled four new posters for The Great Gatsby. Coming from stylish director Baz Luhrmann (Australia, Romeo + Juliet), the adaptation of the classic 1925 F. Scott Fitzgerald novel stars Leonardo Dicaprio, Isla Fisher, Jason Clarke, Carey Mulligan, Tobey Maguire, and plenty of other good looking famous people.

I’m really looking forward to Gatsby. I thoroughly enjoyed Luhrmann’s adaptation of Romeo and Juliet, and The Great Gatsby looks to at least match it visually. Plus, it would be tough to go wrong with a cast like that!

Check out the new posters below, and let us know what you think! The Great Gatsby hits theatres on May 10th!

Baz Luhrmann’s “The Great Gatsby” follows would-be writer Nick Carraway (Tobey Maguire) as he leaves the Midwest and comes to New York City in the spring of 1922, an era of loosening morals, glittering jazz, bootleg kings, and sky-rocketing stocks. Chasing his own American Dream, Nick lands next door to a mysterious, party-giving millionaire, Jay Gatsby (Leonardo DiCaprio), and across the bay from his cousin, Daisy (Carey Mulligan), and her philandering, blue-blooded husband, Tom Buchanan (Joel Edgerton). It is thus that Nick is drawn into the captivating world of the super rich, their illusions, loves and deceits. As Nick bears witness, within and without of the world he inhabits, he pens a tale of impossible love, incorruptible dreams and high-octane tragedy, and holds a mirror to our own modern times and struggles.

The first trailer for Ron Howard’s Rush has just been released online. I’d never heard of the movie before today, but damn does it look cool! Rush follows the true story of two rival Formula 1 drivers on their journey to become champions. Then there’s a serious crash, which looks to change everything.

Rush stars Chris Hemsworth, Daniel Brühl, Natalie Dormer, and Olivia Wilde. Watch the trailer below, and let us know what you think!

Set against the sexy and glamorous golden age of Formula 1 racing, RUSH portrays the exhilarating true story of two of the greatest rivals the world has ever witnessed—handsome English playboy James Hunt and his methodical, brilliant opponent, Niki Lauda.  Taking us into their personal lives on and off the track, RUSH follows the two drivers as they push themselves to the breaking point of physical and psychological endurance, where there is no shortcut to victory and no margin for error.

2013 is just flying by, isn’t it? It seems like just yesterday that we were celebrating the new year and throwing out our Christmas trees, and now we’re just a month away from some of the biggest movie releases of the year, including Iron Man 3 and Star Trek Into Darkness.

Marketing is in full swing for both films. Yesterday, an intense new clip for Iron Man 3 was released, and today, Paramount unveiled a new poster for Star Trek Into Darkness. This one features Benedict Cumberbatch walking away from a burning city. As expected, it looks pretty badass.

Check out the new poster below, and let us know what you think!

Following last week’s first look at the wildly anticipated series, CBS today released a new preview for Brian K. Vaughan’s adaptation of Under the Dome. First published in 2009, Stephen King’s Under the Dome takes the plot of 2007’s The Simpsons Movie, and makes it real and scary.

Based solely on the fact that Vaughan is handling the adaptation (and also the fact that the plot sounds pretty damn cool), I can’t wait for this one to premiere. Brian K. Vaughan not only wrote my favourite comic series ever (Y: The Last Man), but also penned some of the best episodes of Lost, and his current books, Saga and Private Eye, are both incredible pieces of literature (and art) themselves.

Watch Under the Dome‘s new preview below, and let us know what you think! The show is set to premiere this Summer!

On an entirely normal, beautiful fall day in Chester’s Mill, Maine, the town is inexplicably and suddenly sealed off from the rest of the world by an invisible force field. Planes crash into it and fall from the sky in flaming wreckage, a gardener’s hand is severed as “the dome” comes down on it, people running errands in the neighboring town are divided from their families, and cars explode on impact. No one can fathom what this barrier is, where it came from, and when—or if—it will go away.

Dale Barbara, Iraq vet and now a short-order cook, finds himself teamed with a few intrepid citizens—town newspaper owner Julia Shumway, a physician’s assistant at the hospital, a selectwoman, and three brave kids. Against them stands Big Jim Rennie, a politician who will stop at nothing—even murder—to hold the reins of power, and his son, who is keeping a horrible secret in a dark pantry. But their main adversary is the Dome itself. Because time isn’t just short. It’s running out.

Following the release of the film’s first trailer last month, Warner Bros. has just debuted a new TV spot for Todd Phillips anticipated new comedy, The Hangover Part III. Set to be the final film in the Hangover trilogy, Part III takes us back to where everything started, Las Vegas.

Plenty of folks from the first two films, Part III features Zach Galifianakis, Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms, Justin Bartha, Ken Jeong, and plenty of others. Being a Hangover film, you probably know full well what to expect from this one!

Watch the spot below (followed by a newly released poster) and let us know what you think! The Hangover Part III hits theatres on May 24th!
