It may not be as red-band as yesterday’s V/H/S/2 trailer, but the new preview for The Hangover Part III is certainly NSFW.

The latest trailer first takes us through the wolfpack’s humble beginnings and its darkest hours, before showing us just what’s in store for them next. Everything looks like pretty standard Hangover fare, so you likely already know whether or not you’ll enjoy this one.

Take a look at the trailer below, and let us know what you think! The Hangover Part III hits theatres on May 24th!

The Hangover Part III” is the third and final film in director Todd Phillips’ record-shattering comedy franchise. This time, there’s no wedding. No bachelor party. What could go wrong, right? But when the Wolfpack hits the road, all bets are off.

Following the release of the film’s first trailer last month, Warner Bros. has just debuted a new TV spot for Todd Phillips anticipated new comedy, The Hangover Part III. Set to be the final film in the Hangover trilogy, Part III takes us back to where everything started, Las Vegas.

Plenty of folks from the first two films, Part III features Zach Galifianakis, Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms, Justin Bartha, Ken Jeong, and plenty of others. Being a Hangover film, you probably know full well what to expect from this one!

Less than 24 hours after the reveal of the film’s first teaser poster, Warner Brothers has finally released the first trailer for Todd Phillips’ upcoming comedy, The Hangover Part III.

This threequel looks to star everyone you’d expect it to, including Zach  Galifianakis, Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms, Justin Bartha, Ken Jeong, and plenty of others. The film looks like standard Hangover fare, so you already know full well if you’re interested in this one.

Hangover3

First-time directors Jon Lucas and Scott Moore are anything but amateurs. Best known as being the writers of the smash hit comedy The Hangover, the duo have written a fair share of other well known comedies such as The Change-Up and Ghosts of Girlfriends Past. But this time out, Lucas and Moore have settled comfortably into their director chairs for this weekend’s release 21 and Over. Unfortunately for the screenwriters and directors, 21 and Over is far from genius of The Hangover.

Jeff Chang (played by Justin Chon) seemingly has it all. Attending an Ivy League school and fast on the path to becoming a doctor, Chang’s best friends from high school, Miller and Casey (played by Project X‘s Miles Teller and Pitch Perfect‘s Skylar Austin), pay him a surprise visit on his 21st birthday. Refusing to go out because of an important medical school exam the next morning, Miller won’t take “no” for an answer. What’s suppose to begin as an innocent night out turns into a wild tale of obscene debauchery.

21 and Over

Attempting to recapture the glory from their part in the 2009 hit The Hangover, Jon Lucas and Scott Moore stir up a frothy beverage of a similar taste. In retrospect, there’s far too many similarities between the pair’s newest effort 21 and Over and their previous blackout blockbuster. Although the wolfpack’s outrageous journeys have them retracing their steps from a forgotten evening, Chang’s drunken and indistinguishable sounds leave his best friends on a quest to remember where he lives. Following the smallest of clues possible, the trio embark on an uncontrollable night of humiliation and embarrassment. While 21 and Over has no shortage of laughs, the jokes are unoriginal and extremely short-lived. In addition to a lack of well written humor, the movie relies on the most over-the-top situations imaginable to elicit laughter from the audience. Shock-humor has become the latest craze and its flavor has quickly soured. Therefore, 21 and Over becomes just another example of ineffective modern day comedies.

21 and Over

Although no one will confuse 21 and Over for anything other than the comedy that it is, Lucas and Moore force-feed a handful of dramatic subplots into their feature. Every instance of banter about “people changing” and “lost friendship” illustrate just how indecisive the entire final product feels. Lost somewhere within the story themselves, writers/directors Jon Lucas and Scott Moore fail to properly blend their dramatic themes with the film’s immature and outlandish comedic aspects. Once again reiterating that 21 and Over is an unfortunate swing and miss.

If you can find joy in the simple and thoughtless shock-value that has imprisoned the genre of comedy over the past five years, then 21 and Over will be a suitable movie experience for you. However, I pine for the carefully crafted and well written jokes from earlier 21st century classics such as Wedding Crashers and The 40 Year Old Virgin. If you happen to feel the same way that I do, then you should definitely take a pass on Friday’s release 21 and Over.

Geekscape and the folks at Distrify and Drafthouse Films have now teamed up to bring you the hilarious Danish comedy Klown, viewable right here on this very webpage!

In what critics are hailing as “the funniest movie of the year!” (IFC), KLOWN follows two wildly inappropriate friends — played by celebrated international comedians Frank Hvam and Casper Christensen — as they run amok through the Danish countryside, plowing through endless awkward confrontations and unspeakable debaucheries. Hopelessly wrongheaded Frank “kidnaps” the 12-year-old nephew of his pregnant girlfriend in an eager attempt to prove his fatherhood potential, and they join sex-crazed Casper on his secret adulterous weekend canoe trip. Rampaging through exclusive brothels, hospitalizations, armed robberies and even prison, the three paddle downstream from one chaotic misadventure to the next, all culminating in a surprisingly sentimental portrait of friendship and a final shocking reveal that you’ll never be able to unsee.

If you don’t know what Klown is, it’s a feature film from the creators of the popular comedy series Klovn, which followed real-life comedians Frank Hvam and Casper Christiensen through ridiculous NSFW adventures. Click here to read our review and watch the green and red band trailers. Again… this isn’t necessarily safe for work stuff, but it is hilarious. Our reviewer Scott gagged several times while watching this mix of The Hangover and Curb Your Enthusiasm (in fact, The Hangover‘s Todd Phillips and Zach Galifianakis have already optioned the Hollywood remake rights).

So what are you waiting for? Do you really want to blow twenty bucks going out to see The Watch this weekend (currently 11% on Rotten Tomatoes, ouch) when you can sit right where you are right now and watch Klown for $7 instead?

Yeah. We thought so. Enjoy. And tell your friends.

Klown (Klovn: The Movie) is a Danish movie that follows the exploits of mild-mannered Frank and his friend Casper during a weekend canoe trip. The movie is based on the Danish series Klovn that followed Frank and Casper from one misadventure to the next. Real-life comedians  Frank Hvam and Casper Christensen played pseudo-versions of themselves. The series was similar in theme to Larry David’s Curb Your Enthusiasm.  Prior to seeing the movie I had never heard of Klovn, but you don’t need to have any knowledge of the series to enjoy the movie.

The plot of the movie is simple, Frank’s girlfriend Mia thinks that Frank lacks fatherhood potential. So to prove his worth as a father Frank ‘kidnaps’ Mia’s 12-year-old nephew Bo and takes him along on his and Casper’s  annual weekend canoe trip. Or as Casper continuously refers to it, the “Tour de Pussy.” The movie follows them from one disaster to the next on their trip and each one being funnier and more crude than the last. This isn’t a comedy for the faint of heart. You’ve been warned.

Frank Hvam is hilarious as the well-intentioned but idiotic Frank, who despite his best efforts only makes things worse with each passing moment. Casper Christensen is equally hilarious as the sex-driven Casper. His main objective on the trip being to get as much (for lack of a better word) pussy any and every way he can. He sees the “Tour de Pussy” as his excuse to do what he wants without his wife being any the wiser. Marcuz Jess Petersen plays young Bo, the poor child who is stuck with Frank and Casper for the duration of the trip. I’ve got to give this kid credit for keeping a straight face here. He plays Bo as sheepish and aloof and his presence in the movie makes for an interesting mix with Frank and Casper.

The movie was directed by Mikkel Nørgaard, who also co-wrote the script with Frank Hvam and Casper Christensen. These guys know comedy and do it well. Having now seen this movie I’d love to go back and watch their series Klovn. For fans of crude comedies like The Hangover you will find this to be right up your ally, but this will also appeal to fans shows like Curb Your Enthusiasm. Just be warned that this is some crude humor, but it’s some damn funny humor.

Drafthouse Films will be releasing Klown in limited release and Video on Demand on July 27th. Do yourselves a favor and check it out. You won’t be disappointed.
