Last week, Microsoft held their annual E3 Press Conference, and with it, they finally rose the curtain a bit more on Rare’s anticipated pirate adventure game Sea Of Thieves.

The cinematic sheds a bit of backstory onto the game and hints at exciting features that you’ll be able to experience such as ship battles, treasure hunting, and of course, kraken battles. All this to the beautiful tune of a sorrow song very reminiscent of the sea chantey What Do You Do With A Drunken Sailor? While the game has no solid release yet, studio head Craig Duncan has confirmed that they want to put the game into closed beta soon so that fans can finally experience it. Sea Of Thieves will launch for Xbox One and Windows 10 in the future.

Late last year, Adult Swim announced that they’d be helping bring back Samurai Jack so that it can finally have the last season it always deserved. The series is scheduled to air later this year on the network’s anime block Toonami, but besides that, not much is known about this continuation. Today, during the Annecy 2016 festival, people were shown a quick first look at the new season. Even though it’s only one picture, the project seems to be shaping up pretty nicely as the photo includes a somewhat dark vibe with a somewhat older looking Jack wearing some war paint that appears to be blood.

Jack 2016

The show is still scheduled for this year, but still no word on a specific release. If you’re also interested in some recent news, the Jack team did a quick Q&A earlier in the year about the show’s return on Reddit which you can find HERE.

During one of their weekly Drawful 2 livestreams, Jackbox Games decided to drop another massive bomb on people. In just 2 weeks they’ll be at Indy PopCon representing in a big way. On Friday, June 17th at 8:30 PM Drawful 2 will be part of the 2016 Indy PopCon  Brawl, a showdown between 8 online personalities to see who’s the best around. Not only that, but they also revealed what the final game will be. QUIPLASH 2! That’s right!, everyone’s favorite sarcastic quipping game is back with a vengeance.

Quip 2

While they couldn’t say much about the title a few things have been confirmed such as the game having custom prompts, different final rounds, a leaderboard (first in the series!), and the ability to censor answer (akin to Drawful 2.) The game will be part of the previously announced Jackbox Party Pack 3, but there’s still no release date for the game outside of a Fall 2016 release. Are you excited for Quiplash 2? What kind of crazy prompts are you hoping to make? Tell us in the comments!

It’s been a while since we’ve heard any new news about Telltale Games.

One of the lasts things we heard was last December where they announced BATMAN – The Telltale Series at The Game Awards. Since then, they haven’t made much of a peep, but it seems like we’re finally getting some new info on it. Creative Communications Head Job Stauffer has told the world when we can expect to explore Gotham City. According to Stauffer, Batman will be premiering this summer, while the highly anticipated Season 3 of The Walking Dead will arrive sometime this fall. He also hinted at the possibility of both games being playable at E3 next week. What do you think? Are you excited for any of these Telltale games? Tell us in the comments!

AWHAAAA!?!?

WHAT’S THIS!?! A VIDEO GAME DEVELOPER HAVING FUN WITH A VIDEO GAME?!? OUTRAGEOUS! Where are all the grey colors? Where are all the FPS segments? WHY ISN’T THERE A VEHICLE BUILDING MECHANIC!! All joking aside, Yooka-Laylee is shaping up to be one hell of a game. Ever since going radio silent near the end of last year, the folks over at Playtonic Games have really seemed to get their metaphorical rear in gear and now have blown all their new info out over the spans of the last 3 weeks.

Yooka Tribalstack

Today’s new trailer features Yooka and Laylee racing through many different worlds meeting different characters, pummeling baddies, and transforming into weird mutated creatures. Along with this we’ve also learned new news about the game.  It seems as though the game has sadly been pushed back from it’s initial Q4 2016 release and is now heading for a Q1 2017 release (fingers crossed for January.) Along with that we’ve also learned that Playtonic has been Internally hard at work on the Wii U and PC versions of Yooka, while Worms developer, Team 17 is working on the Xbox One and PS4 versions. Enough chit chat though, take a look at the new trailer and tell us what you think about it in the comments!

Skylanders fans are in for an interesting game this year.

Yesterday, Activision announced Skylanders Imaginators, A game centered around creating your own Skylander. The game launches October 16th and will be  bundled with the portal of power, the custom character portal, as well as 2 sensei figures. The game is targeting a release date of October 16th for Xbox 360, One, PS4, PS3, and Wii U. Do you like Skylanders? Are you excited for this year’s game? Let us know in the comments below!

Fans of the 1989 Sega Master System classic Wonder Boy 3: The Dragon’s Trap and the Wonder Boy series in general will be happy to know that their favorite half human/half animal hybrid is coming out of retirement for another round. Announced today, Developers DotEmu and Lizardcube are collaborating on this remake slated for Consoles and PC sometime in the future as there is currently no release date. The nicest part is that the game seems to be taking a more Ducktales Remastered esque approach to the graphics. Check out the trailer below and tell us what you think about the game!

This morning, VD-dev Games, developers of the 3DS E-shop title Ironfall Invasion released a trailer for their new racing game Rise: Race The Future. The game looks to be a fully customizable racing game for all current gen consoles and mobile devices, but it seems as though another platform has snuck its way in.

NX

Well, well, well. It looks like our good old mysterious friend the NX as made an appearance at the end of this trailer. Does this really mean anything though? Perhaps. I wouldn’t be surprised if Nintendo was planning an NX reveal in the near future. As for the game itself, the developers are hoping to have it done b this winter. Check out the trailer below! Are you interested in this game now? Will you be picking it up? Tell us in the comments below!

Ever since the end of Season 2 back in July of last year, Netflix owners have been patiently waiting for Bojack to finally make his return. Well, now we finally have a release date.

Today they announced that Bojack Horseman season 3 will be premiering on Netflix starting on July 22nd! So, while all of you guys are busy waiting in lines for panels and demos at comic con this year, you pop on over to your Netflix app and catch an episode or 2 before your panel starts. Are you excited for this release date? What’s your favorite Netflix original show? Tell us in the comments below!

Today something very cool has happened. As of 3PM PST, the indie hit sports game Rocket League now supports cross-network play for both Xbox One and PC.

Sadly, the only thing missing is Sony as PlayStation is oddly absent. Whether PS4 cross-play will be available or not remains to be seen. It’s really cool though as it seems like this can be the first step towards unifying all multiplayer games  across all platforms. Are you excited about this news? What are your hopes for the future of cross-network multiplayer? Tell us in the comments below!

After a somewhat underwhelming month for Xbox Games With Gold in May, the service seems to be heading back into a strong month with June.

Starting from June 1st to the 30th, Xbox One users will be able to pick up the oddly charming Goat Simulator. Around the same time , from June 1st through the 15th both 360 and One users will be able to experience the rage inducing, controller smashing indie hit Super Meat Boy. After that, One players will be able to get behind the wheel as The Crew drifts into GWG from June 16th to July 15th, followed by XCOM: Enemy Unknown from June 16th to 30th for both gold users. Which games are you looking forward to this month? Tell us below in the comments!

GWG June

Since the dawn of time, E3 has been an event that only the media may attend. We had to sit and tremble in fear from our own homes as those big corporate media outlets hogged all the E3 fun from us, only leaving us with the always fun (sometimes terribly cringe worthy though) press conferences as we’d then have to patiently wait for gameplay videos and demos to drizzle out of the event.

WELL NOT ANYMORE! This morning E3 just announced their first public event called E3 Live @ LA. Now regular folk and fans can finally experience the E3 magic that they’ve always wanted to. The best part? It’s FREE! (for right now.) Tickets are limited so you best be registering for them right now. You can register right here.

It’s great to finally see E3 opening up to the public again. The last time this happened was for about 2 or so years for the event E for all.

Are you excited for E3 Live? Will you be attending? Tell us in the comments!

Just when you thought he was done, they pull him back in. While the last mainline Five Nights At Freddy’s Game hasn’t been out since FNAF 4’s release back in July 23rd, 2015 (almost a whole year already!) fans of the franchise have been treated to something similar to help them tide things over in the form of FNAF World, which had been getting steady free updates throughout the months due to Cawthon not being happy with how he initially released the game. Just recently, update 2 was released which hinted at a brand new character for the game’s next side title: The Sister Location. Unbeknownst to everyone, a brand new trailer for the game has dropped, ad it’s sure to send a shiver or two down your spine. The trailer features a different cast than what the Usual gang would be (one of the big deals being that Freddy isn’t the leader of the group!)

The 2 biggest introductions by far have to be the introduction of the lead female singer Baby, and the fact that these new animatronics seem to open up in the middle. If you’re excited that’s fine, but don’t be expecting it anytime soon, as Scott has set a Fall 2016 release date for the game so that he can make it as polished as he can. Are you excited for this new FNAF? What’s your favorite game in the series? Comment below and let us know!

Some Nightmare fuel for you.
Some Nightmare fuel for you.

Fans eagerly awaiting for Playtonic’s highly anticipated Banjo Kazooie spiritual successor, Yooka Laylee have finally been given an update that they’ll BEE happy about. Many new things were announced today, but the big STINGER was the reveal of the main villain Capital B. BEEing a corporate B.E.O of Hivory Towers, his company has recently teamed up with the villainous Dr. Quack of Quack Crop. to engineer an evil plan to BEEcome the most powerful company in the world.

Capital BOf course the biggest thing people have been BUZZing about is the release date for the highly anticipated playground demo which finally got a release date of sometime in July. While there’s no solid release date still, the team has re-assured people that they won’t BEE (ok I’ll stop now) having to wait until 2017 as they are still targeting an October 2016 release date for the game for Xbox One, Wii U, PS4, and PC. What do you think about the game? Are you excited to finally get the chance to play it soon? Let us know in the comments!

Today, a bit of everyone’s childhood has died.

Alan Young, most known for his roles as Mr. Ed and Uncle Scrooge on DuckTales, has sadly left us today. The legendary VA passed late Thursday night due to natural causes. While sad, it should be noted that Young was 96, which is a very long time. One of his last performances was in the 2013 console remake DuckTales: Remastered and a small role in a couple of Paul Ruddish’s excellent Mickey Mouse shorts(which will be linked below). While Young has finally ascended to that money bin in the sky, one things for certain: he was and will always be the one and only Uncle scrooge. May you rest in peace good sir.

Some disappointing news for James Bond fans today.

Looks like Daniel Craig, who’s the current Bond, has decided to call it quits with the beloved super spy. According to The Daily Mail, Craig turned down about an 100 million dollar offer to continue to play Bond for at least 2 more movies, but alas, it seems like he has other plans. It seems as though he’s also walking out not on the best terms with the company as he was quoted last year saying that he’d rather slash his wrists than do another Bond movie. This now begs another question. Who should be Craig’s replacement? While it’s too early to name names, a lot of people seem to think that Tom Hiddleston would be a good replacement. What do you think? Do you want Hiddleston to play Bond, or do you have other ideas for people who can take the mantle? Comment below and let us know!

So, this is what we’ve come to.

Earlier today in an article with Deadline, more info on The Tetris Movie was revealed. According to the article, the unnecessary adaptation will have a budget of 80 MILLION DOLLARS!! Not only that, but it was also revealed that this film will only be part 1 of a 3 part trilogy of what the director Larry Kasanoff describes as a sci-fi thriller. Also in a surprising twist, the film will be a joint venture between Threshold Entertainment and China themselves. Majority locations, and actors will all be from China. This is utterly baffling considering this director and animation studios last attempt at a feature length movie. What was it called again? Oh yeah!

Oh no. OH NOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Well, this movie’s already screwed. What do you think? Do you think it can still be good? Tell us in the comments below!

Yesterday, the official Dragon Ball website posted a 24 hour countdown clock to this morning May 17th not saying what will happen. Well, today we know what it was.

Just a couple of hours ago, Bandai Namco announced that Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 would be coming out this year. While there’s no solid release date yet, we do know that the game will be coming out for Xbox One, PS4, and PC via Steam. The first Xenoverse came out  last year on February 5th 2015 and seemed to surprise many fans who were starting to experience Dragon Ball game fatigue every year. Hopefully Xenoverse 2 improves and adds onto more things like more customization with powers and outfits. Are you excited for Xenoverse 2? What’s your favorite Dragon Ball game? Tell us below!

HOOOOOOOOOLY CRAP!

Earlier today during an interview with Asashi, Nintendo President Tatsumi Kimishima confirmed that the company is once again ready to step into the realm of movies. Not much more is known about this new business venture, but what we do know is that they’re planning on releasing the first of many movies by 2018 or 2019 (That’s only 2-3 years!) Hopefully this works out for them better than the last time they tried it (although to be honest, I do enjoy myself some live action Super Mario Bros. Movie every now and then.) What do you think? Are you excited for Nintendo’s venture back into movies, or do you think they should just stick with gaming? Tell us in the comments below!

A couple of weeks go we reported that Nintendo had announced that Animal Crossing and Fire Emblem would be making their way to mobile devices this fall.

When originally announced last year, Nintendo said that the only Free to Play mobile game would be Miitomo and that the rest would be fully priced apps. Well, it seems like they changed their minds. During an interview with The Wall Street Journal, DeNA executive Isao Moriyasu  confirmed that the 2 upcoming mobile titles would be free. The change isn’t completely unjustified, as Miitomo was able to reach the 10 million download mark within a little less than 2 months of being out. The app was also estimated as raking in about $280,000 per week. Are you looking forward to these apps now that they’re free, or do you think the in app purchases could ruin the experience for you now? Tell us in the comments below!

Some unexpected and sad news has just broken.

Today, Disney has announced that due to continued decline in sales, they have decided to cancel their Disney Infinity series. Not just this, but they also revealed that they will be exiting console game publishing altogether. This is a pretty big blow, not just for toys to life, but also for the games industry itself as an entire publisher exits stage left.

Infinity launched on August 18th 2013, and was made to directly compete with the mega hit Skylanders franchise. If you’d like to read more you can find the company’s concession post right here. What do you think of Disney Infinity’s cancellation? Do you think Disney should completely leave the game console market?

In a surprising announcement this morning, Nintendo has announced that they have partnered up with Microsoft & Mojang to create a special Super Mario Mash-up pack for the Wii U version of Minecraft.

The free update on May 17th will include 40 new skins including Mario, Luigi, Diddy Kong, Waluigi, the Koopalings, and much more. There will also be 15 pieces of new music and item textures, as well as a pre-made world for you to explore. If you don’t want to fill your internal hard drive too much, then you’ll be able to purchase a retail version of Minecraft: Wii U Edition with the mash-up pack included for $29.99 on June 17th.  Are you looking forward to the free update? Tell us in the comments below!

Last week we reported on the unfortunate news that Nintendo was only planning on having Zelda Wii U as the only playable game at E3 this year, but were confident that they’d still deliver an enjoyable digital event as they do every year.

Well, this morning they just announced their full E3 plans today on their official website, but it wasn’t what people were hoping for at all. We all knew that the entire floor space of the company this year will be dedicated to playing the new Zelda game, but what about their other announcements. Well it turns out, they have no others. No digital event or even any new game announcements. Turns out that instead of a digital event on June 14th at 9AM pacific, they’ll instead have a Nintendo Treehouse Live segment showing off the new game in action. The only other thing announced is that fans have a chance of winning a trip to E3 by sharing their favorite Zelda memories. More details can be found here if you’re interested.

This is very worrisome due to the fact that it seems like the only thing Nintendo has going for them this holiday season so far is Pokemon Sun & Moon, which will be great games in their own right, but they won’t be able to carry the holiday season alone. What do you think about this new info? Are you still excited for E3? Are you worried about Nintendo’s holiday line-up as well? Tell us in the comments below!

Earlier last week, we told you guys about a new humble bundle that was released titled Humble Friends of Nintendo Bundle.

Today, they just sweetened the deal for you by adding 3 new games for it if you choose to pay $9.74 or more for it. These include Nano Assault EX for 3DS, Swords & Soldiers 2 for Wii U, and the recent Wii U indie hit, Runbow. What do you think of these new additions? Which new game are you looking the most forward to playing? Tell us in the comments below!

After a couple of days of speculation, the rumors are true! Activision just released the reveal trailer for Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare.

Described as a return to the franchises roots, Infinite Warfare has to do with us fighting off against a Settlement Defense Front. Also just as the rumors predicted, pre ordering the legacy edition of the game will get you the remastered version of Modern Warfare.  Check out the trailer below if you’re interested in the game. Are you excited for this year’s COD, or are you just investing in Modern Warfare Remastered this time around? Make sure to tell us in the comments! Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare will be released on November 4th, 2016.

This past weekend was PonyRadioCon in Moscow, and surprisingly enough, Hasbro was officially there in attendance to five fans a small sneak peek at what’s to come for the Untitled 2017 My Little Pony Movie.

At the con, fans were treated to a hefty amount of new info regarding the film such as new monsters, worlds, villains, pirates, and even our mane 6 transforming into Sea Ponies themselves in order to stop this brand new evil. A couple of other tidbits are that the movie will also include a total number of 8 songs, and that the initial release date for the film which was originally November 3rd has been changed to a new date (this could possibly referring to a recent Deadline article that said the film was moved to October 7th).

Mlp Movie 1

Another thing to notice, is that one of the main slides referred to the movie as being called Friendship Adventure. There’s a chance this could be a new name for the film, but it’s probably just another placeholder. Check out more images below, and check out a bit more info over here.  Are you looking forward to the 2017 MLP Movie? What are you excited for the most? Tell us in the comments below!

This game is never coming out, is it? It seems like yet again fans and backers of the infamous Mighty No. 9 will have to continue to wait.

A couple of people have been tweeting out that they’ve been seeing advertisements in their local EB Games that say the spiritual successor will finally be making its way to store shelves this summer. When in summer? That’s still to be confirmed, but I’m pretty sure no one at this point would be surprised if it doesn’t come out around then either. The last time the game was publicly delayed was back around the beginning of the year when they stated the reasoning for the delay was due to troubles with the online modes matchmaking feature and the fact that they were using an outdated engine that was no longer supported. Are you still looking forward to Mighty No. 9? How many more delays do you think it’ll have before it comes out? Sound off in the comments below.

Late last night, Nintendo held their fiscal earnings announcement, and revealed a lot of details that may be a bit disappointing short term, but there were certainly some positive things that stood out.

Along with revealing the NX launch window, Nintendo has announced that the next 2 mobile titles that are planned for launch will be based on Animal Crossing and Fire Emblem, but perhaps not exactly how you’d expect them to be.

Animal Crossing has been explained in terms of sounding more like a companion app you can use with the console iterations, while Fire Emblem looks to maintain its strategy roots, albeit making it a bit more accessible to newcomers.

Both have been announced to be more in line with a traditional Nintendo game than Miitomo (on an unrelated note, what’s up with that level 20 cap?), and both games are set to launch this Fall.

When in Fall? That’s yet to be determined? Are you excited for this next round of mobile games? What franchise do you want to see get the mobile treatment *cough DONKEY KONG cough*. Tell us your ideas in the comments!

While not the most stellar line-up (especially after this month gave us Sunset Overdrive and Saints Row IV) Xbox’s Games With Gold for May still has some notable titles you might want to check out.

Xbox One owners start off the month with Defense Grid 2, which will be available all month. After that, they’ll be able to SUIT UP for adventure with Costume Quest 2 from May 16th to June 15th. Xbox 360 users get a completely different set of games as always. From May 1st through the 15th 360 & One users can take to the streets in Grid 2, followed by the original Peggle from the 16th to the 31st.

What are you looking forward to the most this month? Comment below and tell us.
