This Fall, the hat tips towards Marvel fans. Marvel Lego Super Heroes will release on Xbox 360, Playstation 3, Wii U, Vita, 3DS, and PC later this year. GameTrailers today released the first gameplay video for the title, which unsurprisingly looks fantastic.

We’ve heard about the cast of, but other than that there’s been plenty of secrecy surrounding the Marvel & ABC’s upcoming pilot for their S.H.I.E.L.D. series. ABC Network has now provided a an official synopsis for the Joss Whedon directed pilot, which also reveals that the series will be called Marvel’s Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. Check out the synopsis for the hour-long prospective series below.

Joss Whedon (MARVEL’S THE AVENGERS, Buffy the Vampire Slayer) shows us not all heroes are super with MARVEL’S AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D.

Fresh from his role in the summer’s box office smash, MARVEL’S THE AVENGERS, Agent Phil Coulson (Clark Gregg) returns to the worldwide law enforcement organization S.H.I.E.L.D. He puts together a small, highly trained, team of Agents to tackle the cases that haven’t been classified yet, the new, the strange and the unknown. That team consists of straight arrow Agent Grant Ward (Brett Dalton), an expert in combat and espionage; pilot and martial artist Agent Melinda May (Ming-Na Wen); and brilliant if socially awkward scientists Agent Leo Fitz (Iain De Caestecker) and Agent Jemma Simmons (Elizabeth Henstridge). They’ll be joined by civilian new recruit and computer hacker Skye (Chloe Bennet).

Prepare for an epic adventure that showcases the hope and wonder of the human spirit. This is a world of Super Heroes, aliens and the unusual – of action, spectacle and world spanning stories. The show will speak to the human condition through the lens of our very human, non-powered S.H.I.E.L.D agents – that together we are greater than we are apart, and that we can make a difference in the world.

Executive Produced and co-written by Joss Whedon, Jed Whedon & Maurissa Tancharoen (Dollhouse, Dr.Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog), Jeffrey Bell (Angel, Alias) and Jeph Loeb (Smallville, Lost, Heroes) comes Marvel’s first live-action TV series, MARVEL’S AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D.

Word is that the pilot for the prospective series (who are we kidding…it’s going to get picked up) will air sometime in August.

Superior Spider-Week is in full swing.

Earlier today, Marvel announced another new spider-series that will launch (along with Superior Carnage and Superior Foes of Spider-Manthis July. This one’s called Superior Spider-Man Team-Ups. Written by Chris Yost, and drawn by David Lopez, Foes is set to replace the current regular title, Avenging Spider-Man (which makes sense… seeing as he won’t be a part of the Avengers much longer).

According to the press release, ‘team-up’ may not accurately describe what we’re set to see. The very first line of the series description states that “There’s only one thing that’s on the mind of the Superior Spider-Man when he encounters the heroes of the Marvel Universe–it’s how can he beat them?! First on his list? The Avengers!”

Sounds good to me. Check out the first issue’s cover (featuring art by Paolo Rivera) below, and let us know what you think of the announcement!

There’s only one thing that’s on the mind of the Superior Spider-Man when he encounters the heroes of the Marvel Universe–it’s how can he beat them?! First on his list? The Avengers!

This July, Superior Spider-Month turns it up a notch as Yost and Lopez let loose in SUPERIOR SPIDER-MAN TEAM-UP #1!“SUPERIOR SPIDER-MAN TEAM-UP #1 takes fans across the entire Marvel Universe and pits Superior Spider-Man against heroes and foes you wouldn’t necessarily think he’d rub shoulders with,” explains Stephen Wacker, Senior Editor, Marvel Entertainment. “More and more people in the Marvel Universe are starting to sense a change in Spider-Man, and being able to see Chris put Spidey in those situations is going to have my inbox full of team-up requests! So stay strong Songbird fans!”

Even though filming has already wrapped on Marvel’s S.H.I.E.L.D. pilot it appears that we’ve got another confirmed cast member. It has been revealed that Joss Whedon has cast J. August Richards, who he has worked with in the past on Angel, in what is being called a “super top-secret role.” Let the speculation commence! Richards will join Clark Gregg, Ming-Na, Chloe Bennet, Elizabeth Henstridge Iain De Caestecker and Brett Dalton in the series pilot which is set to air sometime in August.

Director Marc Webb continues to tease fans with tweets from the set of The Amazing Spider-Man 2. The director has tweeted some pretty confusing images and today continued that trend with an interesting image features some cast members…in a Panda and Gorilla suit? With a caption that reads “Thinking about some new villains…”, could these be some henchmen? Or could the shadow with the green background and giant “N” be possibly hinting at things to come?

While speaking with Collider to promote the upcoming season of AMC’s Mad Men, actress January Jones has confirmed that she will be in the group that will not returning for Bryan Singer’s X-Men: Days Of Future Past. So, that currently means that neither Azazel nor Emma Frost will be at Magneto’s side in the upcoming “inbetweequel”. There’s no word at the moment if we will see Zoe Kravitz or Alex Gonzalez return as Angel and Riptide, but at the moment it seems that Mystique will be Erik’s only returning companion. Could this mean we will be seeing an all-new Brotherhood Of Evil Mutants in the film?

There’s not a lot known at the moment when it comes to Josh Trank’s upcoming Fantastic Four reboot. We do know that the film is set to hit theaters March 15, 2015 and that Matthew Vaughn is producing. However, it has now been revealed that the Fox film will start filming in Vancouver in just a few short months. A Vancouver native tweeted this information and was re-tweeted by OLV (a well known source for filming locations):

With filming set to start in just roughly five months on the film, we should expect to start hearing casting announcements regarding the project very soon.

The Hollywood Reporter reports that Star Trek and Avatar actress Zoe Saldana is currently in negotiations to join the cast of Marvel’s Guardians Of The Galaxy. Saldana is in talks to play the role of Gamora in the upcoming James Gunn directed space epic. The green-skinned humanoid known as the “deadliest woman in the galaxy” is the last of a species that was wiped out by the villainous alien race known as the Badoon. The actress will join Chris Pratt and Dave Batista in the film and will appear in next month’s Star Trek Into Darkness. Now that we’ve got the humanoid characters down, it’s on to Rocket Raccoon and Groot.

Captain America: The Winter Solider hits theaters April 4, 2014

The first film in Marvel Studios “Phase Two” hasn’t even hit theaters yet but that isn’t keeping them from getting prepared for their big conclusion. The studio will bring Earth’s Mightiest Heroes across the pond and begin shooting at Pinewood-Shepperton in early 2014, with pre-production for the film most likely get underway later this year. This isn’t the first time that Marvel has shot across seas, a good chunk of Thor: The Dark World takes place in London and James Gunn’s Guardians Of The Galaxy will be taking advantage of Shepperton Studios when filming on the movie begins in a few months. With plot details for the film being kept under wraps, it’s pretty hard to speculate just what they’re going to be filming when they travel across the pond and begin production.

The currently untitled sequel to The Avengers is set to hit theaters May 1, 2015.

Did you think for some crazy reason that Superior Spider-Man would be coming to an end soon? The latest casting news regarding Marc Webb’s The Amazing Spider-Man 2 came straight the directors mouth. Or, his twitter that is.

The Office star B.J. Novak will be appearing in the highly-anticipated film in what is a currently unknown role at the moment. What is known though is that his character will have some form of ties to Oscorp. This cast is stacking up to be pretty damn impressive.

In The Amazing Spider-Man™ 2, for Peter Parker, life is busy – between taking out the bad guys as Spider-Man and spending time with the person he loves, Gwen, high school graduation can’t come quickly enough. Peter hasn’t forgotten about the promise he made to Gwen’s father to protect her by staying away – but that’s a promise he just can’t keep. Things will change for Peter when a new villain, Electro, emerges, an old friend, Harry Osborn, returns, and Peter uncovers new clues about his past.

Filming is set to begin in just a few months and word is that Georges St. Pierre will be joining the cast of the Russo brother’s highly-anticipated Captain America: The Winter Soldier. The UFC champion, according to Latino-Review, has been cast in the role of the mercenary villain Batroc The Leaper.

In the comics, Batroc the Leaper has no powers, but is in peak physical condition and is a master in Savate, kickboxing and many other martial arts disciplines. George St-Pierre is a French-Canadian kickboxer who has no super powers himself but is definitely in pretty exceptional physical condition. The character is also a master thief and smuggler. The character doesn’t actually appear in the comic storyline that the film is based on, so it should be interesting to see where they fit him in.
