Merry Christmas!

Did you think that Christmas could stop the Super Mario Maker hype train? It only makes the game stronger. To get into the mood of things, today’s featured level is a bit festive, but with a twist. Today’s level is Underwater Christmas by John.

Underwater Christmas 1While there’s nothing that will really blow you way, Underwater Christmas is a nice and relaxing level if you want to take a festive break from all those kaizo and trap levels. You simply play as Frog Mario as he swims around the ocean entering random undersea people’s homes to spend Christmas with them (who wouldn’t want a Christmas visit from Mario himself.) After entering and leaving the nice undersea homes, you’ll then come across a giant underwater Christmas tree decorated with starmen, chain chomps, and more.

Underwater ChristmasOnce you’ve finished admiring all the tree as to offer you’ll sooner or later come across the goal post to finish up your short, but relaxing journey. Of course what kind of a level would end without wishing you a happy holiday? If you’re up for a nice, and relaxing Mario Maker level this time around, give this level a try at: CCF8-0000-012C-33B7! Until next time, Happy Holidays, and keep creating and playing awesome levels!

Underwater Christmas 2

It’s the Holiday Season and the end of the year! And that marks another Anniversary for Geekscape, which started podcasting 9 years ago on Christmas Day! Yup… We’ve got the same birthday as Baby Jesus! This year, Kenny, Will, Jake and I go into a major Non-Spoiler discussion of ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ and put the movie in perspective with The Prequels and Original Trilogy! We also share stories of Christmases past and what gifts we wanted! Also… what do we want this year? And has Jake already bought almost everything on his list for himself off of QVC? It’s a Christmas Miracle if he hasn’t!

On this special (in the worst possible way) episode of Horror Movie Night, we give in to Matt’s pleading and discuss Silent Night Deadly Night 5: The Toy Master! We collectively worry that Micky Rooney’s blood sugar level was way too low throughout the filming of this movie, and mourn for Clint Howard’s unintentionally auspicious acting career. It’s Christmastime, spend it with the father of your bastard child (who moonlights as a mall Santa) and fight off the terrifying trinkets surrounding your bed, it’s Horror Movie Night!

The folks at Activision have prepared a special Christmas Carol for all Skylanders Superchargers players (who are dubbed “Portal Masters”), and we must admit that it’s quite catchy!

Hark! Over There!
Park Over There!
Land, Sea, or Sky,
Dive, Drive or Fly!

Skylanders is the first in its genre, the “Toys to life” franchise. Their current installments, Skylanders Superchargers (available on Wii U, PS3, and PS4) and Skylanders Superchargers Racing (available on 3DS and Wii), changes their formula by adding vehicles into the mix! While Skylanders Superchargers Racing is purely a racing game, Skylanders Superchargers takes the traditional elements of it’s previous games. such as the top down platforming/power-up engine (Marvel Ultimate Alliance, anyone?), and transitions it to smaller racing segments, all taking place in land, sea, or sky!

And heck, while we’re at it, we would also like to remind you that there’s a special Skylander–Missile-Tow Dive-Clops–available at GameStop starting today!  Missile-Tow… ha!  I see what they did there.

Brian Kelly is back again. He visited me for Christmas and we shoot the shit and play a new game. Brian tells us the plot lines of movies he only watched when he was high and the results are pretty insane.

With Christmas Day upon us tomorrow, thus ends the season of earworms ad nauseum. Whether it’s the painfully monotonous beat of Paul McCartney or Bruce Springsteen practically dying live on stage, Christmas songs are either loathed or tolerated merely because it’s just that time of year. That weirdo you know who legitimately loves Christmas songs? Probably a serial killer.

But if you can’t wait one more day to kill the monotony, here is a selection of phenomenal alternatives or mainstream hits that do not nearly get the airplay they deserve because, for some reason, people really love hearing Bruce Springsteen struggle to breathe for five minutes.

“I Want An Alien For Christmas” by I Fight Dragons (Cover of Fountains of Wayne)

Fountains of Wayne made a modern classic with “I Want An Alien For Christmas,” with their signature pop alt-punk and cutesy humor everyone remembers from their biggest hit, “Stacy’s Mom.” But the 8-bit alt rock reimagining from THE GREATEST BAND OF ALL TIME, I Fight Dragons, kicks the song ten notches up. The wonderfully nostalgic exchange between Linus and Charlie from the iconic Christmas special at the beginning masked with SNES beeps is just the pre-game to the absolute party that is the main song. I love you, I Fight Dragons. Never stop making music.

“Chiron Beta Prime” by Jonathan Coulton

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e0wjoNmaJEQ

You can always count on Jonathan Coulton to provide something quirky and off the beaten path, so it’s not hard to see why he is so beloved by the dwellers of geek culture. “Chrion Beta Prime” is a hilariously dark but optimistic track perfect to throw in a holiday playlist and catch unsuspecting listeners off-guard.

“God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen/We Three Kings” by Barenaked Ladies and Sarah McLachlan

I told you I would be including mainstream hits that don’t get the airplay they probably deserve. And yet, I’m thankful they don’t; if they did they wouldn’t have that edge the other holiday staples don’t. Their rarity is what makes them special. When you do hear them in that grocery store line or airport, it’s a welcome relief from the tired old shit like Bruce Springsteen dying.

Furthermore, this song in particular remains phenomenal. The Barenaked Ladies’s entire holiday album is a treat, and you should expect nothing less from the greatest Canadian alt-rock band of the late ’90s*, but their duet with Sarah McLachlan on “God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen” is a twilight journey through a sub-zero winter. No pun intended, it’s just plain cool.

*Thank you, Britta. For once, you didn’t Britta something.

“A New York Christmas” by Rob Thomas

I apologize if my elitist NY/NJ dick is showing, but if you know what Christmas is like in the greatest city in the world you would be in love with this song too. I can’t tell you if it’s my nostalgia from spending the holidays with my family in Manhattan or the post-9/11 pride that this song was written in light of, but something about this song just gets the season in that beautiful city right. You’d be surprised to learn that it’s also barely played on the radio. The only thing that separates residents around my area from the subject is a 50-minute train ride, so what gives?

“All I Want For Christmas is You” by Michael Bublé (Cover of Mariah Carey)

Confession: No matter how ubiquitous it is, Mariah Carey’s “All I Want For Christmas is You” is a masterpiece. I fully admit that and I don’t care how much cred I lose with that statement. With that in mind, holy shit guys, you need to listen to Michael Bublé’s cover. I get that The Bubble Man is a polarizing figure in music, but if you don’t melt at the first few notes of his Mariah Carey cover, you aren’t human. How on Earth did he figure out how to turn the ultimate upbeat holiday pop song into a slow ballad? He’s magic, you guys.

“Just Another Christmas Song” by Stephen Colbert

Speaking of magic, if you weren’t tuned into the final episode of The Colbert Report, shame on you. Without hyperbole, this song is just god damn perfect. “Make it the heart of my retirement plannin’.” It’s comedy gold and we are a better generation for having had him apart of us.

“Noel” by Animaniacs

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rO_S3ZayDNY

We were blessed to have Stephen Colbert in our lives, but we are lesser for having lost the Animaniacs. The show is nearly twenty years old but the comedy hasn’t dulled, and you can spend a whole afternoon still busting your gut at the legitimate genius this show oozed. I believe the best cartoons are the ones that are aimed at kids but treat them neither as children or adults, but as people. Animaniacs did that in spades.

There was a whole holiday special that was released on home video that my sister and I grew up watching, but “Noel” was strangely not included — and it’s probably the best they ever did.

“Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays” by ‘N Sync

Shut up. SHUT UP. Okay. Look. Somewhere in my spirit, I am not a 22-year-old Asian man but a 15-year-old teenaged girl forever stuck in 1999. While I remain a die-hard Backstreet Boy and loathe ‘N Sync like a member of the Horde would loathe an Alliance scum, I willfully admit ‘N Sync made one hell of a holiday album. The whole CD is pretty damn good, and — remember, this is a big theme of this list — rarely played on the airwaves. This goofy video (with Gary Coleman?!) doesn’t do the song justice, it’s fun holiday pop tune that is as cheerful as “All I Want For Christmas is You” but far less earworm-y.

For the Horde. For the BACKSTREET!

“All I Want is You (This Christmas)” by ‘N Sync

IT’S A GREAT ALBUM, OKAY? What sells it for me? That god damn saxophone and fake elevator jazz aesthetic. I’m thankful this song isn’t played ad nauseum, or anything by ‘N Sync, really. One of the biggest-selling pop groups of the late ’90s, and their entire holiday catalog is left largely unforgotten. That’s okay though, because there’s more for us who know about it.

After joining and becoming a part of the Geekscape team this past Summer, I’ve had a wonderful year getting on my soapbox writing whatever I damn well pleased. It’s been a hell of a ride and I can’t wait to see what 2015 brings. Merry Christmas and happy holidays, Geekscape! From my family to yours.

This week I’m joined by David Edwards of Inde Vision Films. We talk about Empire Records, Driving from Mississippi to PA, High School Film Projects and what’s going on in the future of Inde Vision.

The song during the intro is Pagan Holiday by Harley Poe.

A Very Geekscape Christmas (2013) by A.J. Santini on Mixcloud

The holidays are probably the most hectic time of the year.  Just minutes after you’ve ingested loads of tryptophan-laden turkey, catastrophic amounts of carbohydrate-based side dishes, and had at least one uncomfortable conversation with an intoxicated family member, the stores begin a barrage of bargains and a slew of sales that force other-wise well-meaning human beings to trample one another and forget the entire spirit of the season for seventeen dollars off a gaming console.  With all the cards to send out, presents to buy, holiday parties for work, friends, and with a growing divorce rate requiring more and more stops to make over the course of the month with families, it’s no wonder we find comfort in tradition.  Whether it’s watching a film, decorating a tree, reading a book, visiting a location, buying a new Nutcracker, exchanging gifts, playing with your grandfather’s antique Lionel train set, or just hearing that one song you only get to sing this time of year, there’s some sanity hidden inside the insanity.

Now, as a music lover and part-time critic, I’d simply love to give you two hours of holiday tunes you’ve never heard of and say, “Check this out!”  But the disc jockey and realist in me knows that no one is going to tolerate that much unfamiliar territory this close to Christmas.  I’ve been discussing the idea of a Geekscape Christmas with fellow contributor Saint Mort for the entire month of December, and it’s taken me this long to figure out how to approach it.  (I’m writing this article at 9:35 PM EST on Christmas Eve Eve.)

I saw a meme today that said, “One song can spark a thousand memories.”  I think that perfectly describes the love/hate relationship many people have with holiday-themed tunes.  We only hear them for a month and then we can’t stand them for the other eleven.  That may also be why it’s so hard for newer Christmas songs to catch on and stay in the canon of public acceptance.  Most of the time, bands just remake a classic quickly to fulfill a contractual obligation, and it turns out to be shite.  And many of the newer songs just mention a bunch of phrases we’ve heard ad nauseum since childhood (trim the tree, deck the halls, winter wonderland, stockings, Santa… there’s a definite formula).

Keeping all this in mind, I’ve put together a mixtape of new and old classics which I heard this season that truly made me reminisce or piqued my interest into thinking we may hear them again in the coming years.  I doubt I’ll have included your favorites, but I hope I have at least put together something enjoyable to soundtrack the last moments of your celebration.  Whatever you’re into, I hope you find something here.  Happy Holidays, Happy New Year, May the force be with you… whatever you believe, we wish it be merry.

This just in! This just in! Aquabats! Aquabats! It looks like our favorite teenaged superheroes are returning to television with three brand new specials! When do you ask? Well this Christmas of course!

After the first five episodes of Season 2 aired, The Aquabats kind of went radio silent for a while. No news of when the next episodes will air, or if they would even get filmed for the matter! Looks like the silence was a good thing, as they have three brand new specials ready and raring to go for our viewing pleasure. The first one, simply titled “Christmas With The Aquabats” hits your TV screens on December 21st!

The first special titled “Christmas with The Aquabats!,” Ricky’s perfect Christmas is threatened when the Aquabats arrive in a strange village and are convicted of breaking a law that forbids any Yuletide celebration. Their only chance at saving themselves and Christmas is for the big man himself, Santa, to lend a mitten! The special includes guest stars Matt Walsh (“Veep”) as Santa and Robert Smigel (“TV Funhouse,” “Triumph the Insult Comic Dog”) as the voice of The Krampus. “The Aquabats! Super Show!” is produced by Awesome Forces! Productions.

The Aquabats have said in the past that they try to bring people they enjoy as artists onto the show to work with them, and we can clearly see this special is full of great talent. The other two episodes will air on December 28th and January 19th respectively.

The second special, “Shark Fighter!,” finds the Aquabats face-to-face with mutant land sharks and when the legendary Shark Fighter (Rhys Darby, “Flight of the Concords”) arises to take on the Bats, he ends up being the big brother Crash has always wanted. The third special is “Kitty Litter!,” where the Aquabats encounter a new villain who blames them for his villainous condition and devises a plot for revenge that uses the cuteness of kittens to battle his enemies.

This aquacadet is super stoked! This is the best Christmas present an Aquabats fan could ever hope for!

sweet rein2

Most everyone loves Christmas. Now, how about a manga centered around Santa, but this time Santa is a cute seventeen year old girl and her reindeer is her servant? Oh, and he is really cute! Sweet Rein v.1 opens with young Kurumi Sagara, who is about to spend Chistmas alone until she bumps into a handsome young guy named Kaito (who happens to be a magical reindeer!). An invisible (to humans) reign connects them to each other and Kaito tells Kurumi she is his master because she is now Santa Claus.

This manga has all the adorable/cutesy/ romantic bits you want in a shojo manga (manga mainly targeted toward 10-18 year old girls with a primary focus on relationships). I loved it! It is sweet, funny and has heart! You might even say it borders on cheesy but I enjoyed every second of it. The bond between these two characters is explored and not just taken for granted. Kurumi even asks, ” Aren’t you upset to lose your freedom?” She does not accept the whole master and servant relationship (at first) and I like that the author has the character ask questions I would have wanted answered.

Actually, the relationship between Kurumi and Kaito kind of reminds me of the relationship between Haruhi and Tamaki in Ouran High School Host Club. It is refreshing that Kurumi speaks her mind and does not swoon all over Kaito; he is the one doing the swooning. The art style is a little similar to Ouran High School Host Club too with its pretty characters, their wispy hair blowing in the wind and the super expressive moments where you know exactly how these 2D characters are feeling. The author/artist, Sakura Tsukuba, did an excellent job of conveying movement and expression and you almost see the scene move as you read it.

Yes, the plot is a little strange but what manga/anime isn’t? Sweet Rein is a delightful read that makes you feel all warm and fuzzy inside and gush over the romantic moments. If you like romantic stories or just want something playful to read, you should check this one out!

Sweet Rein is available starting 11/5 with VIZ Media’s November releases and will be retailing for $9.99. Cute holiday gift idea; just saying. Plus there is a vampire bonus short story at the end!

Former Saint Mort Show Guest and Neighbor writer/director Robert Angelo Masciantonio has released another piece of the Neighbor mythos today.  WragsInk has released Neighbor for Christmas: A Girl’s Holiday Tale on Amazon for only $0.99! The story picks up shortly after the events of Masciantonio’s prequel New Girl in Town and before the film Neighbor with The Girl working in the country’s largest consumer shopping mall.  It doesn’t take long for someone to catch her eye but that someone may have plans of their own.  This holiday season, The Girl doesn’t care if you’ve been naughty or nice.

Keep an eye out for this electronic tale while it’s available at the low the holiday price!

No big news here, just Stan Lee being Stan Lee: the venerable character creator has just uploaded a wonderful version of The Twelve Days of Christmas featuring who else, but him!

The video comes care of Stan’s World of Heroes YouTube channel, which is chock-full of other hilariously entertaining goodies.

Check out the song below, and enjoy! Happy holidays!

If you read my last Retroactive Thinking article you’re probably more than aware that I love Christmas. I love the every aspect of it, the movies, the old TV specials and most importantly the music. Over the years I’ve definitely collected such an eclectic collection of bizarre christmas songs. I’ve sent enough of these songs to Jonathan that he finally just said ‘listen loser, just put it in a fucking article and leave me alone’… so here we are.

I don’t recommend playing most of these songs at family christmas parties… however if you’re just having a gathering with friends… these could go over well…. but not likely.

Twisted Sister “Heavy Metal Christmas” – Let’s kick this off with a song that I once heard someone refer to as “not just the worst christmas cover of all time but the worst song ever”. You see when Twisted Sister decided it was time to FINALLY release a Christmas album (seriously Dee Snyder what the fuck took you so long!) they decided that simply covering 12 Days of Christmas just would NOT do justice, they needed to re-write this song to be more METAL thus Heavy Metal Christmas was born. No longer will you have to wonder what to get the metal head in your life this christmas. Clearly they want tattered shirts, spandex pants and skull earrings (among other things).

Atom and His Package “What WE do on Christmas” – Christmas isn’t just for christians obviously, well I mean sorta. There’s other holidays this time of the year, specifically Hanukkah which is what Atom and His Package decided to write about in his song What WE do on Christmas. Adam Goren (The Underground Laptop Pop Punker turned Science teacher) wrote this song a Christmas comp that reveals the secret meetings that the Jews have been having every Christmas Day plotting out their global takeover. Being that Adam is one of the friendliest guys on the planet he ends the song apologizing if he offended anyone. Check out Atom on the Saint Mort Show

Size 14 “Mrs. Claus” – Size 14 is a punk band from the earliest days of Drive-Thru Records. While they never received much fame the band was heavily featured in the indie comedy 100 Women and the lead singer Linus of Hollywood started up a record label and joined Nerf Herder.  However they had a song early on in their career on appeared on Christmas Gone Wrong. This comp was a collection of christmas songs by punk bands on Drive Thru at the time, it now goes for like $300 used on eBay occasionally. The highlight track is Size 14’s ode to banging Mrs. Claus and ruining christmas for everyone.

Harley Poe “It’s Christmas Time Again” – One of my all time favorite bands since I was young was Calibretto 13. Calibretto 13 was a christian surf punk band in the same vein as Dead Kennedy’s. When they broke up the lead singer formed Harley Poe which was not a christian band at all (hear the whole story of his change of heart when he appeared on the Saint mort Show). One of the first songs they ever released was on a comp called “A Very Standard Christmas” (they were on a label called Standard Recording Records) about Killer Santa Claus. I’d like to believe he wrote it after watching the 2005 masterpiece Santa’s Slay.

Ben Folds “Bizarre Christmas Incident” Ben Folds is one of my favorite singer/songwriters but somehow this song escaped me for a quite a few years. The first time I heard it though, I loved it. The song tells the hilarious story of Santa Claus getting stuck in Ben’s chimney and dying. It’s hard to not love a song with the chorus “Santa he’s a big fat fuck/Came down the chimney and got his fat ass stuck”.

mc chris “Evergreen” – Nerdcore (but not Nerdcore) rapper mc chris wrote this song for his album Eatings Not Cheating. The song tells of a crazy adventure one christmas with him and his drug dealer.

Enjoy your party crashing this weekend!

BBC has just released a teaser poster for the anticipated Doctor Who Christmas special. This year’s celebration will air right on Christmas day, so superfans have a tough choice ahead: drop out of dinner early, or force your family to crowd around the TV?

As many times as it’s been recommended to me, I’ve still never seen an episode (I know, crazy right). I’ve heard that Doctor Who is simply incredible, and it’s definitely on my list to watch, so I’m sure I’ll get to it one day!

Are you excited for this special? Will you be watching it the night it airs, or simply TIVOing it for later? Check out the poster below along with a first look at the frosty villains of the episode, and of course let us know what you think!

These things look TERRIFYING!

Well, those hoping to catch Warner Bros. The Great Gastby this December are going to have just a bit longer. The company has decided to move the movie from Christmas to the summer of 2013. So, what’s the deal with that? Warner Bros. President of Domestic Distribution Dan Fellman stated:

“Based on what we’ve seen, Baz Luhrmann’s incredible work is all we anticipated and so much more. It truly brings Fitzgerald’s American classic to life in a completely immersive, visually stunning and exciting way. We think moviegoers of all ages are going to embrace it, and it makes sense to ensure this unique film reaches the largest audience possible.”

Which could be entirely true or it could be what we have seen happening quite a bit recently with studios fearing that their films aren’t going to be able to survive out there. Why am I saying that? Because both Peter Jackson’s The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey AND Quentin Tarantino’s Django Unchained are coming out that month. Especially due to BOTH The Great Gatsby and The Hobbit being released in 3D meaning they are going to have to compete for those screens. Also, let’s keep it real…we are ALL going to see those two before we see The Great Gatsby. So, maybe Warner Bros. is being honest with their reasoning or they’re just playing it safe. Either way the film is moved back to next year because they think the movie will be the “perfect summer movie around the world”. Well, I don’t know about that one.

After being forced to sit and endure the double-feature of Shark Attack 3: Megalodon and 2-Headed Shark Attack, I decided to give the finger to the evil duo of Mr. London and Mr. Kelly and watch something this week that didn’t look like an eye-raper.

Feeling rather festive with my rebellion, I turned to a promising looking Finnish movie— Rare Exports: A Christmas Tale.  I know it doesn’t sound nearly as amazing as 2-Headed Shark Attack, but my survival rate is much higher with this one and, honestly, I like surviving.

Always drink your Ovaltine.

Rare Exports is the third in a series of Santa-focused endeavors directed by Jalmari Helander, the first two being internet shorts titled Rare Exports Inc. (2003) and Rare Exports: The Official Safety Instructions (2005).  Assuming those two are of the same quality and idea of this movie, it’s safe to say that they’re pretty awesome.

Yes, I said it—I watched an awesome movie.  I admit I deviated from the recent spate of total suck in a major way as my rebellion bore non-Busey-related gingerbread man-shaped fruit.

Wordsworth would like you to consider the dandelion.

I will confess to being biased and, yes, having a major thing for the evil Santa Claus concept.  This started when I was a young little horror nerdling, sitting around playing Hunter: The Reckoning: Redeemer on X-Box.  You see, there’s this one scene where you stop at one of those mall-like Santa Claus areas and suddenly Mr. Claus walks into view and sprouts tentacles and pulls two giant (and angry, very, very angry) teddy bears with fangs out of his sack and it’s breathtakingly amazing.

But enough with my rhapsodizing about Tentacle Santa, let’s get to the reindeer meat of this movie.

Not reindeer meat.

Subzero Inc., a company purported to be engaging in seismic research on the border of Lapland, has been drilling into the Korvatunturi Mountain—not to further the field of seismology but, more deviously, to unearth the frozen Santa Claus.

Brilliant, right?  Free Santa Claus from his icy fortress of solitude so he can rain down presents on all the good boys and girls of the world.  That’d easily clear out the waiting list for the Make-A-Wish Foundation, no problem.

Also fulfills several wishes.

However, all is not as silent and holy as it seems as the butcher’s son, little Pietari, delves into old books on local folk lore after eavesdropping on the company’s plan.  In his reading, he discovers that Santa Claus is not the loveable old gent we all believe him to be, but is instead a giant beater, broiler, and eater of naughty children.

As Christmas quickly approaches, the drilling goes silent and the town’s source of income, a large herd of reindeer, is brutally slaughtered by what the townsfolk believe to be large wolves and Pietari takes steps to protect himself once he finds footprints on the roof outside of his second-floor window.

Footprints?! Must be a clue!

The night before Christmas Eve, all of the children—save Pietari— disappear and Pietari’s father discovers an old man has fallen into one of his wolf-pits, pierced through the chest by the wooden stakes at the bottom of the hole.

He takes the dead man into his butcher shop but soon discovers that, while mostly non-responsive, the man is alive and reacts violently to gingerbread cookies and little Pietari.  Soon two other men from town join him as they attempt to determine what to do with this odd old man and find that they may have captured something more strange and powerful than they bargained for.

This movie was wonderful, and so much more than what I expected from the usual Christmas horror movie.  It was clever.  It was truly, absolutely clever.  Helander managed to work in and warp all of our Santa-related Christmas mythology in a lovely little, almost Gaimanesque way that I don’t have the pleasure of seeing all too often.

Story aside, visually this movie was stunning.  The colors were intense, the shots wide and very dramatic— everything lent itself to the sort of fantasy setting this movie needed.  The acting was wonderful and the boy who played Pietari was perfect for the role, a silent, studious Data (The Goonies) that stepped up to the plate when everyone else was wallowing in Christmas confusion.

So start a fire (preferably in the fireplace), set out some milk and cookies, and queue up Rare Exports: A Christmas Tale on Netflix on Demand.  It’s that time of year, after all.  Right?

MST3K and Rifftrax performer, Bill Corbett, has started a Kickstarter campaign to fund his latest project: a graphic novel titled Super-Powered Revenge Christmas, where classic Christmas characters fight off a supervillan taskforce.

Check out the official message from Mr. Corbett himself and read all about this new project here.  And don’t forget to donate– I want this graphic novel under my tree this Christmas season!
