Briefly: Well, Jonathan Liebsman’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles turned out way better than we expected it to be (it was so much fun), and Paramount isn’t nearly finished promoting it yet (and a sequel has already been announced).

The studio has launched an incredible art moment called ‘The Legend of the Yokai.’ The exhibition explores the origins of our heroes, and features over 30 amazing artists from 16 different countries. Plenty of amazing pieces are already available for viewing on the Legend of the Yokai’s official website, and Geekscape is very excited to be exclusively debuting Stephane Blanquet’s incredible piece. Before we reveal it, you should definitely check out the trailer for the exhibition:

As Paramount describes, the exhibition “tells the epic tale of a village over-run by an evil warlord and his army of demon monsters. When all hope seems lost, the wishes of an innocent girl summon forth the heroic Kappa, who abide by the pillars of honour, courage, wisdom and brotherhood, fighting side-by-side to vanquish this fearsome evil.”

The site shows off some incredible pieces based on each of these ideals, and Stephane’s abstract piece is definitely one of my favourites. Born in 1973 near Paris, where he lives and works, Stéphane Blanquet is a multi-talented artist and a prolific figure of the French art scene since the beginning of the 1990s with: Installations, mix-media artworks, sculptures, mural paintings and urban furniture, performances, music, theatre (scenography and play writing), animation movies, alternative graphics, comics, publishing, etc. His work has been shown around the world and twice very successfully at the Singapore Art museum. (Latest show in Singapore: 100,000 visitors). With many upcoming projects, in Europe, Asia and US, Blanquet in on the way of becoming a key artist on the contemporary art world scene.

Take a look at Stephane’s piece below (click for full-size), and be sure to keep scrolling for an amazing behind-the-scenes look at its creation.

The art is incredibly complex. Take a behind-the-scenes look at the artwork below and you’ll be amazed by the amount of detail and layering hidden inside.

Pretty amazing, huh? Again, be sure to head to the exhibition’s official website for much more!

Briefly: Following the full trailer that premiered all the way back at SDCC (it seems like so long ago), and the new poster from a few days back, AMC has debuted a new TV spot for the series’ anticipated return.

It’s called ‘You’re not safe,’ and the 30-second spot is full of pain, guns, anger, and a huge explosion.

We’ve got less than two months of waiting left until The Walking Dead returns on October 12th, so take a look at the spot below, and let us know what you think!

Briefly: Marvel is already having a great year, but they’re not even close to being done with us (or our wallets) yet. Sure Guardians of the Galaxy was one of the best films of the year, but Marvel and Disney have also teamed up to create the first Marvel animated feature: Big Hero 6.

The film is “an action comedy adventure about brilliant robotics prodigy Hiro Hamada, who finds himself in the grips of a criminal plot that threatens to destroy the fast-paced, high-tech city of San Fransokyo. With the help of his closest companion—a robot named Baymax—Hiro joins forces with a reluctant team of first-time crime fighters on a mission to save their city. Inspired by the Marvel comics of the same name, and featuring comic-book style action and all the heart and humor audiences expect from Walt Disney Animation Studios, the CG-animated “Big Hero 6″ hits theaters in 3D on November 7, 2014.”

Today, Disney debuted the first hilarious clip for the anticipated film. You can take a look at the video below, and be sure to let us know what you think!

Briefly: Following the release of the official launch trailer two weeks back, and the reveal of the game’s Playstation exclusive content last week, Bungie and Playstation have debuted a new video that shows off the Playstation exclusive map, Exodus Blue.

I’ve been enamoured with Destiny for as long as I can remember, and that feeling was exacerbated by the short time that I’ve been able to spend with it. September 9th really, really can’t come soon enough. I played the Alpha and Beta as much as I possibly could, and in that time Destiny became one of my favourite games of the year. I cannot wait to play the full game, and I cannot wait to learn the full story through its bad-ass companion app (seriously, it’s so well done).

The PS3 and PS4 editions of the game include the exclusive Exodus Blue map, a strike mission, and plenty of equipment. Wouldn’t it be nice if it had cross-platform play to go with it?

Take a look at the video below, and let us know what you think. Destiny hits shelves on September 9th.

Briefly: This looks bad ass.

Training Day, Shooter, and last year’s Olympus Has Fallen director Antoine Fuqua has reunited with Denzel Washington for The Equalizer. The movie tells the story of “McCall, a former black ops commando who has faked his death to live a quiet life in Boston.  When he comes out of his self-imposed retirement to rescue a young girl, Teri (Chloë Grace Moretz), he finds himself face to face with ultra-violent Russian gangsters. As he serves vengeance against those who brutalize the helpless, McCall’s desire for justice is reawakened. If someone has a problem, the odds are stacked against them, and they have nowhere else to turn, McCall will help.  He is The Equalizer.”

The film looks like a blast, and we’re big fans of the film’s director and cast, so we’ll definitely be lining up for this one. Take a look at the newest trailer for the film below, and let us know if you’ll be joining us. The Equalizer hits theatres on September 26th!

Well this sounds incredible.

Legendary Entertainment YouTube Spaces, and Guillermo Del Toro have just announced an amazing collaboration called the YouTube Space House of Horrors: A Legendary Halloween Initiative.

The initiative will allow YouTube creators in Los Angeles, LondonTokyo and New York to create original videos on terrifying cinematic sets inspired by Guillermo del Toro as part of a special global programming event on YouTube. Here’s all the info straight from the release:

From September 22 – October 28, 2014, YouTube creators will write, shoot and edit their scariest videos at the YouTube Spaces. As well as appearing on individual creator channels, all content will appear on the YouTube Spaces channel, the official Legendary YouTube channel and promoted through social media platforms. Videos are slated to go live between October 21 and Halloween.

In celebration of his return to horror with the upcoming Crimson Peak, master of ceremonies, Guillermo del Toro, will select his scariest videos to come out of each region and provide a personal rough-cut creative consultation with the creators.

One lucky talent will even be offered a development deal from Legendary Entertainment, which is an absolutely mind-blowing opportunity. Want to see the sets? Here is some concept art:

HauntedGarden

GreatRoom

The Guillermo del Toro-inspired sets vary by Space but may include a Great Room from an old manor house lined with walls of books, a sinister staircase and Gothic windows that lead out to a haunted garden; a room filled with exotic & occult artifacts from around the world; an abandoned Solarium cluttered with over-grown plants, birdcages and weathered tools; a claustrophobic Attic with foreboding art, dusty mirrors and a hidden trap door.

Here’s some further info, straight from the man himself:

It’s an amazing opportunity, and I really, really can’t wait to see what comes of it.

Briefly: Following the full trailer that premiered all the way back at SDCC (it seems like so long ago), AMC has debuted a brand new poster… and the new tagline for The Walking Dead‘s upcoming fifth season.

“Hunt or be hunted” is what they’re going with this season, which pretty much signifies that we’re nowhere near finished with the cannibals of Terminus. I wonder if any of survivors will turn into people chow before the midseason finale.

In any case, we’ve got less than two months of waiting left until The Walking Dead returns on October 12th, so take a look at the image below, and let us know what you think!

Briefly: I was a big fan of the weird-as-hell horror anthology The ABCs of Death when it premiered early last year. The film was an entirely original, extremely memorable romp through every letter of the alphabet, and was absolutely chock full of laughs, scares, and WTF moments.

I was extremely excited when Magnet announced that a sequel was in the works, and that 26 new directors would be putting their own unique spin on each letter of the English alphabet. Today, Magnet released the red-band trailer for the film, giving us a phenomenal taste of the horrors we’re in for early next month.

Want to know who’s taking part? Here’s the list of directors this time around:

Alejandro Brugués
Bill Plympton
Chris Nash
Dennison Ramalho
Erik Matti
Evan Katz
Hajime Ohata
Jen and Sylvia Soska
Jerome Sable
Jim Hosking
Juan Martinez Moreno
Julian Barratt
Julian Gilbey
Julien Bustillo and Alexandre Maury
Kristina Buozyte and Bruno Samper
Lancelot Imasuen
Larry Fessenden
Marvin Kren
Robert Boocheck
Robert Morgan
Rodney Ascher
Soichi Umezawa
Steven Kostanski
Todd Rohal
Vincenzo Natali

And here’s the trailer:

The film will be available On Demand on October 2nd, and in theatres October 31st.

ABC’s OF DEATH 2 is the follow-up to the most ambitious anthology film ever conceived with productions spanning from Nigeria to UK to Brazil and everywhere in between. It features segments directed by over two dozen of the world’s leading talents in contemporary genre film. The film is comprised of twenty-six individual chapters, each helmed by a different director assigned a letter of the alphabet. The directors were then given free rein in choosing a word to create a story involving death.

Provocative, shocking, funny and at times confrontational, ABC’s OF DEATH 2 is another global celebration of next generation genre film making.

Briefly: We’re just over a month away from the highly anticipated premiere of CW’s The Flash (though you’ve probably already seen the pilot), and today the network debuted a stylish new poster for the intriguing show.

After a particle accelerator causes a freak storm, CSI Investigator Barry Allen is struck by lightning and falls into a coma. Months later he awakens with the power of super speed, granting him the ability to move through Central City like an unseen guardian angel. Though initially excited by his newfound powers, Barry is shocked to discover he is not the only “meta-human” who was created in the wake of the accelerator explosion — and not everyone is using their new powers for good. Barry partners with S.T.A.R. Labs and dedicates his life to protect the innocent. For now, only a few close friends and associates know that Barry is literally the fastest man alive, but it won’t be long before the world learns what Barry Allen has become…The Flash.

Take a look at the poster below, and let us know if you’re looking forward to the show! The Flash premieres on October 7th!

Briefly: Early last month Capcom surprised us all with the announcement of a new HD version of its horror classicResident Evil.

The initial screens were very pretty, but now there’s a gorgeous trailer, complete with terrible voice acting, for you to feast those hungry eyes on.

As Andy noted in the original announcement, “the Xbox One and PS4 will benefit the most from this HD version of Resident Evil with things like 1080p resolution and fully remastered sound to support 5.1 surround sound. There will also be options to change the aspect ratio between 4:3 and 16:9. Not sure I would want to go back to the dark days of 4:3 though having that option will please someone out there. If you hated the tank controls of Resident Evil, you’re in luck. There will be an alternative control scheme for those of us who never want to go back to those frustrating controls ever again.”

You can take a look at the trailer below, and let us know what you think! The game is set to hit PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and PC in early 2015!

Briefly: I haven’t purchased a toy in years, but I’d be lying if I said that I wasn’t going to buy every single one of these.

Back at Nintendo’s Digital Event at E3, the company revealed Amiibo, their new Skylanders-esque NFC figures which are going to make them millions (and millions) of dollars.

The company today revealed the first wave of Amiibo’s that will be available at retail, and the team consists of Mario, Peach, Link, Samus, Yoshi, Donkey Kong, Pikachu, Kirby, Fox, Marth, Villager and Wii Fit Trainer. At E3, the big N also showed off Bowser and Pit figures, so I’d imagine that those are coming down the pipeline aswell.

A release date has not been confirmed, but the figures are available for pre-order for a cool $13.99 at select retailers, and will launch this holiday season.

Learn all about Amiibo (which should work with a multitude of future Nintendo games) below, and let us know how many you’ll be picking up!

Bah. I can’t wait to put these on my shelf!

Briefly: Following the release of the official launch trailer last week, Bungie and Playstation have debuted a new video that shows off all of Destiny‘s Playstation exclusive (at least for the time being) content.

Briefly: Following the reveal of the season premiere date last week, and a new teaser a few days ago, FX has debuted two more creepy teasers for October’s American Horror Story: Freak Show.

Titled ‘Lick’ and ‘Spotlight’, both short videos are pretty equally disturbing… and exciting.

Take a look at the teasers below, and let us know if you’ll be tuning in when Freak Show premieres on October 8th.

Briefly: We’re just over a month away from the highly anticipated premiere of CW’s The Flash (though you’ve probably already seen the pilot), and following yesterday’s new poster, the network has debuted a cool new trailer for the intriguing show.

The trailer looks to consist of mostly pilot footage (making it far less exciting if you’ve already seen it), but it definitely does a pretty great job at garnering excitement for the show.

Take a look at the video below, and let us know if you’re looking forward to the series! The Flash premieres on October 7th!

Based upon characters published by DC Comics. Through a freak accident, scientist Barry Allen is given the power of super speed that transforms him into the Fastest Man Alive.

Briefly: Following the full trailer that premiered all the way back at SDCC (it seems like so long ago), AMC has debuted a short new teaser for The Walking Dead‘s fifth season.

Clocking in at an extremely brief 15 seconds long (AMC is loving their short teasers lately) the video shows Tyreese in the midst of a  walker attack, and someone very quick (and probably not friendly) looks to be hiding in the same location.

We’ve got less than two months of waiting left until The Walking Dead returns on October 12th, so for now take a look at the teaser below, and let us know what you think!

Briefly: It’s hard to say how Dumb and Dumber To will turn out (though I did laugh a lot at that first trailer), but the film’s two new posters are downright hilarious.

One of this Summer’s most polarizing films was Luc Besson’s Lucyan action-thriller about a woman who gains the ability to use her brain’s entire capacity, along with a bunch of bad-ass powers in the process. Here’s the film’s poster:

Lucy

Now, here are the latest posters for Dumb and Dumber To:

Harry

Lloyd

That’s some damn good cross marketing, isn’t it? Dumb and Dumber To hits theatres on November 14th.

Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels reprise their signature roles as Lloyd and Harry in the sequel to the smash hit that took the physical comedy and kicked it in the nuts: Dumb and Dumber To.  The original film’s directors, Peter and Bobby Farrelly, take Lloyd and Harry on a road trip to find a child Harry never knew he had and the responsibility neither should ever, ever be given.

Briefly: A new TV spot for David Fincher’s upcoming drama, Gone Girl has just hit the internet. It’s gorgeous, gripping, and looks like it’ll make for an absolutely heartwrenching feature. The film is based on the 2012 bestseller by Gillian Flynn. Here’s the synopsis:

On the occasion of his fifth wedding anniversary, Nick Dunne (Ben Affleck) reports that his beautiful wife, Amy (Rosamund Pike), has gone missing. Under pressure from the police and a growing media frenzy, Nick’s portrait of a blissful union begins to crumble. Soon his lies, deceits and strange behavior have everyone asking the same dark question: Did Nick Dunne kill his wife?

Being a Fincher flick, I’m sure we’ll be frequently questioning the innocence/guilt of Nick Dunne (though book readers will already know the outcome, of course). I feel like avoiding the novel until I can see the feature just so everything can remain a surprise!

In any case, take a look at the new spot below, and let us know what you think! Gone Girl hits theatres on October 3rd!

Briefly: Dead Island 2 surprised all of us when it was revealed at this year’s E3, and following the gameplay trailer from a few weeks back, Eurogamer has just published a fantastic interview/walkthrough with the game’s developer.

Here’s the story: Several months after the events on Banoi, the United States military has put the Golden State under full quarantine. Now a restricted zone, California has become a bloody paradise for those who refuse to leave their homes and an action-packed playground for renegades who seek adventure, glory and a fresh start. Combining the classic Dead Island elements of immersive close combat, action and role-playing, Dead Island 2 features crazy, never-before-seen handcrafted weapons and over-the-top characters in taking players from the iconic Golden Gate to the celebrated beachfront boardwalk of southern California’’s Venice Beach.

I’m really looking forward to playing this one, as I largely missed out on the first games in the series. In any case, Dead Island 2 looks exponentially more polished and should play much more smoothly than Dead Island or Riptide did.

Take a look at the interview below, and let us know what you think.

Briefly: We’re just over a month away from the highly anticipated premiere of CW’s The Flash (though you’ve probably already seen the pilot), and today the network debuted a stylish new poster for the intriguing show.

The image features Flash running down a street, and of course his path draws out the classic Flash lightning symbol. It’s simple, it’s cool, and I really can’t wait to see more.

Take a look at the poster below, and let us know if you’re looking forward to the show! The Flash premieres on October 7th!

Briefly: Thrillbent just keeps getting better and better.

The service has already seen huge success with its launch of Vol 2. of Mark Waid’s Empire and James Tynion’s The House in the Wall, and today marks their first partnership with another publisher with the release of Chris Sheridan’s Motorcycle Samurai.

Not familiar with the book? It was originally released in 2013, and is about:

A grueling desert wasteland, a mysterious stranger bound and hooded on the back of a motorcycle, and a tough-as-nails warrior out to deliver her cargo by any means necessary. The book blends elements of Mad Max and Kill Bill with loose-limbed energetic artwork and a jaw-dropping use of digital panel transitions. Strap in and let’s ride!

Thrillbent founder Mark Waid says that “We have one singular goal at Thrillbent –  to be the home of diverse, quality content that truly maximizes the benefits of the digital platform. Chris Sheridan’s masterpiece certainly fits the bill. We will continue to look to supplement our subscription with books from other publishers that meet our standards.”

So the service has a ton of content for the price of one big two book. That sounds pretty awesome to me. Check out the cover art for Motorcycle Samurai below, and let us know if you’re subscribing!

Briefly: Following the full trailer that premiered all the way back at SDCC (it seems like so long ago), AMC has debuted a short new teaser for The Walking Dead‘s fifth season.

Clocking in at an extremely brief 10 seconds long (AMC is loving their short teasers lately) the teaser focusses on Rick talking about his family (and what he’ll do if it’s hurt), while Glenn and Daryl look as though they’re in a very tough situation.

We’ve got less than two months of waiting left until The Walking Dead returns on October 12th, so for now take a look at the teaser below, and let us know what you think!

Briefly: Following the tiny, tiny teaser released a few weeks back, AMC has released a slightly longer look at the upcoming series.

Better Call Saul is the prequel to the award-winning series Breaking Bad.  Gilligan and Breaking Bad writer and producer Peter Gould created the show together and serve as co-showrunners of the premiere season.  The series is set six years before Saul Goodman (Odenkirk) meets Walter White.  When we meet him, the man who will become Saul Goodman is known as Jimmy McGill, a small-time lawyer searching for his destiny, and, more immediately, hustling to make ends meet.  Working alongside, and, often, against Jimmy, is “fixer” Mike Erhmantraut (Banks), a beloved character introduced in Breaking Bad.  The series will track Jimmy’s transformation into Saul Goodman, the man who puts “criminal” in “criminal lawyer.”  The series’ tone is dramatic, woven through with dark humor.

The series has also received a solid premiere date, and will air its first episode on February 15th.

You can take a look at the new teaser, which features series creators Vince Gilligan and Peter Gould saying a few choice words about the series, below, and let us know what you think!

Briefly: A new (and very red band) trailer for Legendary/Universal’s As Above, So Below just hit the web, and it is damn freaky.

Seriously, as tired as the found footage genre is these days, I was a huge fan of the Dowdle’s The Poughkeepsie Tapesand I cannot wait to see what they do with the Paris catacombs.

In the horror, miles of twisting catacombs lie beneath the streets of Paris, the eternal home to countless souls. When a team of explorers ventures into the uncharted maze of bones, they uncover the dark secret that lies within this city of the dead. A journey into madness and terror, “As Above, So Below” reaches deep into the human psyche to reveal the personal demons that come back to haunt us all.

Eric had the awesome opportunity to interview the Dowdles and star Perdita Weeks, so be on the lookout for those later this week, and check out the new trailer below! The film hits theatres on August 29th!

Briefly: This game looks absolutely incredible.

The people that brought us Bulletstorm and Gears of War: Judgement have taken a stark departure for their next tiel, The Vanishing of Ethan Carter.

Never heard of the game, have you? Hear’s what it’s all about:

You play the game as Paul Prospero, an occult-minded detective who receives a disturbing letter from Ethan Carter. Realizing the boy is in grave danger, Paul arrives at Ethan’s home of Red Creek Valley, where things turn out to be even worse than he imagined. Ethan has vanished in the wake of a brutal murder, which Paul quickly discerns might not be the only local murder worth looking into.

Inspired by the weird fiction (and other tales of the macabre) from the early twentieth century, The Vanishing of Ethan Carter aims to significantly evolve immersive storytelling in games. While it features a private detective and quite a few mental challenges, The Vanishing of Ethan Carter is not an especially puzzle-ridden game. Our focus is on atmosphere, mood, and the essential humanity of our characters.

Still, the discoveries won’t happen on their own, or without your help. Using both Paul’s supernatural skill of being able to communicate with the dead, and your own powers of observation, you will discover the mystery behind a trail of corpses, the roots of a dark ancient force lurking in Red Creek Valley, and the fate of a missing boy.

The game looks substantially different form any game that I’ve played this year, but don’t take my word for it. Take a look at a 13-minute long gameplay demo below, and let us know what you think!

Like what you see? The game is now available for pre-order from developer The Astronauts official website for a cool $19.99!

Briefly: After what seems like forever, and an incredible taste of the game in its Alpha and Beta stages, Destiny is nearly here.

It’s so close, in fact, that Bungie and Activision have debuted the impressive launch trailer for the game… which is going to make the next 18 days and even longer wait.

Seriously, I’ve been enamoured with Destiny for as long as I can remember, and that feeling was exacerbated by the short time that I’ve been able to spend with it. September 9th really, really can’t come soon enough.

Take a look at the launch trailer below, and let us know which console you’ll be playing Destiny on.

Briefly: Ready to have the pants scared off of you (not to be confused with shitting your pants, as Hideo Kojima and Guillermo Del Toro have planned for you)?

The first creepy-as-hell trailer for The Conjuring spinoff Annabelle was released last month, and it was by far one of the freakiest trailers that I’d seen in some time. Somehow, John R. Leonetti and crew have upped the scares for the full trailer, and now have a film that my horror-loving girlfriend doesn’t know if she even wants to watch.

Annabelle stars Annabelle Wallis, Alfre Woodard, Eric Laden, and plenty of others, and will hit theatres on October 3rd. Turn your lights off, put on some headphones, and check out the trailer below, and then let us know if you’re looking forward to the full feature!

http://youtu.be/x_fN4eLz7as

John Form thinks he’s found the perfect gift for his expectant wife, Mia—a beautiful, rare vintage doll in a pure white wedding dress. But Mia’s delight with Annabelle doesn’t last long.

On one horrific night, their home is invaded by members of a satanic cult, who violently attack the couple. Spilled blood and terror are not all they leave behind. The cultists have conjured an entity so malevolent that nothing they did will compare to the sinister conduit to the damned that is now…Annabelle.

Briefly: I can’t believe that the second season of Telltale’s The Walking Dead is so close to concluding. It feels like just yesterday that I played through the first season’s first episode for the first time on my now-ancient PS3, instantly enthralled (and horrified) by the gravity and instantaneousness of the terrible, terrible choices that I had to make during the course of its five episodes.

Telltale has released a five-plus minute long trailer for the final episode (of this season, a third season was confirmed at Comic-Con), and it’s a tearjerker. I don’t wan’t to reveal too much, but the video is an incredible chronicling of Clementine’s journey so far, complete with footage of her past that we haven’t yet seen. Of course we’ve experienced most of this, but it’s strange seeing her change so much in just a few minutes time.

Take a look at the video below, and let us know what you’ve thought of the season so far. After the closing moments of last month’s episode, I’m itching to see what happens next (as long as they don’t kill her).

When will you be able to play? Here’s the info:

August 26th: PC/Mac via Steam, the Telltale Online Store and other digital distribution services; on the PlayStation Store in North America (SCEA) for PlayStation 3 and PS Vita

August 27th: Xbox LIVE Marketplace for Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system from Microsoft; on the PlayStation Store in European territories (SCEE) for PlayStation 3 and PS Vita

August 28th: Available as an in-app purchase within The Walking Dead: Season Two on the iOS App Store

Briefly: Following the reveal of the season premiere date just a few days back, FX has debuted another tiny, creepy teaser for October’s American Horror Story: Freak Show.

The new teaser is titled ‘Admit One’, and features a disgusting, tentacle-clad hand holding an admission ticket. It reveals nothing, but I’m just damned excited for the series.

Take a look at the teaser below, and let us know if you’ll be tuning in when Freak Show premieres on October 8th.

This is the story of the performers and their desperate journey of survival amidst the dying world of the American carny experience.

Briefly: There’s less than two months to go until The Walking Dead returns with its fifth season, and we’re getting pretty antsy. Thankfully, AMC has our backs, and has just released another deleted deleted scenes from the show’s fourth season.

The new scene (check out the previous two here) features Carol, Tyreese, Lizzie, and Mika (remember them) playing a game of I Spy, when they see a downed walker and a baby carriage. Everyone acts understandably upset… aside from Lizzie, who skips happily towards the scene.

You can take a look at the new scene below, and let us know what you think!

So what was your favourite part of season four? What do you hope to see in season five? Sound out below!

Briefly: Kari gave us a great preview of Bloodborne back at E3, and From Software was back with the anticipated title at this year’s Gamescom with some gorgeous (and extremely gory) new footage.

The game looks to share a lot of themes with From Software’s previous Demon’s/Dark Souls, but with an entirely different look and a lot of additional style.

As Kari mentioned back in June, the game’s enemies are “something to be truly feared. When you “face an enemy [you are] facing death” (Miyazaki). The euphoria of victory will be worth it after experiencing the “terror of spine tingling battles”(Miyazaki). Now, of course you will need to be equipped with weapons to face these horrific creatures head on. There will be trick weapons and firearms. During the demo, they stated that the game will have a unique online concept but they could not go into further detail.”

This year has seen a resurgence of the horror game genre, and Bloodborne looks like one of the most action-packed games coming down the pipeline. Take a look at the new footage below, and be sure to let us know what you think!
