Briefly: We’re now just one day away from Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.‘s anticipated season premiere, and following the premiere images that debuted last week, ABC has just unleashed some stylish key art for the upcoming episodes.

I did not enjoy Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. when it first premiered. I actually stopped watching it and only returned once I’d heard that it had significantly increased in quality (thanks Jon). Now I really, really can’t wait for season two’s premiere, and I honestly have no idea where the show could go from here. What have you thought of the series so far? Are you looking forward to tomorrow? Check out the poster below, and be sure to let us know!

Briefly: You should definitely put down that Super Smash Bros. demo for a few minutes and check out this new ad campaign for the game.

It’s hilarious, and incredible, and I sure hope that Nintendo keeps them coming. Check out the three released ads below.

Super Smash Bros. for 3DS hits stores on October 3rd.

Briefly: We’re finally, finally, finally just a few weeks away from The Walking Dead‘s anticipated fifth season premiere, and AMC has just launched a new 30-second trailer for the upcoming episodes.

If the fourth season finale wasn’t indication enough, Rick is done being a nice guy. As he states in this trailer “It’s not over until they’re all dead”… meaning that we are going to see a lot of Terminus locals get the axe. And I can’t wait. Those guys are dicks.

Take a look at the preview below, and let us know if you’re looking forward to The Walking Dead‘s premiere on October 12th.

Briefly: I wasn’t overly impressed with the first trailer for Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg’s The Inverview, but today’s full-length, theatrical preview takes us much deeper into the film’s overarching plot, and definitely raises my excitement for the feature.

The video shows us exactly why Rogen and Franco are interviewing Kim Jong-Un, and also why they’re trying to assassinate him. The trailer garnered plenty of laughs and ‘oh crap’ moments from me, and now I can’t wait to get in line. The Rogen/Goldberg duo that’s so hot right now is also taking care of the ‘Console Wars’ adaptation, which I’m looking forward to even more after spending some time with author Blake Harris at SDCC this year.

In any case, take a look at the new trailer below, and be sure to let us know what you think! The Interview will hit theatres on December 25th!

Dave Skylark (James Franco) is king of the celebrity interview and host of the hit night time talk show “Skylark Tonight.” The brain behind Dave’s empire is his producer and best friend, Aaron Rapoport (Seth Rogen). Unfulfilled, Aaron yearns to do meaningful work. He scores the chance of a lifetime when he secures an interview for Dave with Kim Jong-Un, the mysterious and ruthless dictator of a nuclear-armed North Korea. As Dave and Aaron prepare to leave for North Korea, they are approached by the CIA and asked to assassinate Kim. They accept the mission, becoming two of the least qualified men ever to assassinate—or interview—the most dangerous man on Earth.

Briefly: We’re finally just a few weeks away from the anticipated premiere of American Horror Story‘s next tale, Freak Show, and following the first real trailer from last week (after those freaky-as-shit teasers that is), the network has released yet another creepy teaser to prepare us for this October.

The new video is called ‘Twisted Swinger’… and it’s a twisted preview indeed. Take a look:

http://youtu.be/cexbmH3xLuQ

A new, extremely unsettling poster for the series has also debuted, and it’s one that makes me insanely uncomfortable if I look at it for more than a few seconds. Enjoy:

Heel

Yep. American Horror Story: Freak Show premieres on October 8th, and there’s no way it’ll be as sick as that image.

Briefly: Following the full trailer that premiered all the way back at SDCC (it seems like so long ago), and the newer trailer from a few weeks back, AMC has just debuted yet another promo for the series’ anticipated return.

It’s a lot of slow-motion shooting and a little bit of voiceover, just like a lot of the promos we’ve been seeing so far… but we’re totally okay with that.

It’s certainly set to be a crazy season, and I really can’t wait to see more. Take a look at the spot below, and let us know what you think! The Walking Dead returns on October 12th!

Briefly: We still have no idea just when we’ll get to play the thing, but during its TGS presentation, Square-Enix showed off a beautiful new trailer for Final Fantasy XV.

The combat system looks to take a fairly stark departure from anything that we’ve seen in the series lately, but in any case, this thing looks gorgeous. It’s been a number of years since I’ve played a new Final Fantasy game, but I’ll definitely be keeping my eyes on this one.

What do you think? We’ll be sure to share more on Final Fantasy XV as soon as it’s announced!

Briefly: I’ve been a big fan of Magnet’s V/H/S series so far. The first film was an extremely interesting way to tie some (good and bad) horror shorts together, while the second was an all-around fantastic piece of cinema.

Now, another year has passed, and it’s almost time for the series’ next instalment, V/H/S Viral to hit VOD. Following the reveal of the film’s poster a few days back, Magnet has just release the official red-band trailer:

This year’s compilation comes from the likes of Marcel Sarmiento, Gregg Bishop, Nacho Vigalondo, Justin Benson, Aaron Moorhead, and Todd Lincoln, and will hit VOD on October 23rd, and limited theatres on November 21st. In the film “A police chase after a deranged ice cream truck has captivated the attention of the greater Los Angeles area. Dozens of fame-obsessed teens flock to the streets with their video cameras and camera phones, hell-bent on capturing the next viral video. But there is something far more sinister occurring in the streets of L.A. than a simple police chase. A resounding effect is created onto all those obsessed with capturing salacious footage for no other purpose than to amuse or titillate. Soon the discovery becomes that they themselves are the stars of the next video, one where they face their own death.”

Remember that GoPro zombie from the second film? Man that was cool.

Briefly: While I thoroughly enjoyed the first three titles in the Paranormal Activity franchise, the fourth chapter was absolutely abysmal. Luckily, Gregory Plotkin took over for last year’s spinoff, The Marked Ones, which resulted in an acceptable, creepy flick that took the series somewhere that it’s never been before: outside.

Plotkin is back for the fifth chapter in the main series, which today received its official title, Paranormal Activity: The Ghost Dimension. The film was originally slated for this 2013, then pushed to this Fall, then moved to 2016, and now rests comfortably (for now) on March 13th, 2015.

The end of The Marked Ones certainly did a good job preparing us for The Ghost Dimension, as it saw the main character somehow teleport into Katie and Micah’s home just moments before Micah was murdered. It’ll certainly be interesting to see what comes next, and how well the film will tie in with everything that’s happened so far (as the series is damn good at doing).

Looking forward to it? Do you find the series scary? Sound out below!

Briefly: We were pretty disappointed when Shinji Mikami’s return to survival-horror, The Evil Within, was pushed back to October, and our hands-on with the game back in June certainly didn’t table our excitement.

The game is scheduled for release on PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One on October 14, and TGS has brought an excellent new trailer for the anticipated title. Seriously, this trailer channels some classic survival horror, and I can’t wait to get my hands on this game.

Here’s what SJ thought when she played the game back at E3:

And it is scary. We screamed a little bit during our play through. And at one point, as we were sloshing waist deep through thick, congealing blood attempting to solve a puzzle to get to the next room, we were certainly viscerally affected by the well-realized world. Stealth and sneak attacks are preferred; noise and light draw unwanted attention. And the zombie/monster/box-man creatures? Only stay dead after you burn them. And matches are in short supply.

Between The Evil Within and Hideo Kojima/Guillermo Del Toro’s Silent Hills, it sounds like a phenomenal time to be a survival horror fan. Take a look at the trailer below, and let us know what you think! If you’re a PS4 owner and you haven’t checked out P.T., you’re definitely missing out.

Briefly: Following the latest casting announcement back in August, Sony (via USAToday) has given us our first official look at Powers in a still of stars Sharlto Copley’s Christian Walker and Susan Heyward’s Deena Pilgrim.

The series is set to premiere its first episode on Sony’s own Playstation Network this December… which is a weird but intriguing idea (and I probably won’t get it because I’m in Canada), and although I’m not overly familiar with the comic book series myself, it’s got a pretty stellar creative team coming together, so I’m definitely looking forward to checking it out.

Deadline states that “Powers is set in a world full of people with superhuman abilities and where all of those powers are just another catalyst for mayhem and murder. It follows the lives of two homicide detectives, Christian Walker and Deena Pilgrim, who are assigned to protect humans like us and investigate cases involving people with superhuman abilities, referred to as Powers who glide through the sky on lightning bolts and fire and who clash above cities in epic battle, oblivious to the mortals below.”

Are you looking forward to Powers? Who else would you like to see in the series? Check out the still below, and be sure to let us know what you think!

Briefly: Legendary’s Skull Island appears to be moving along nicely, and one of Hollywood’s hottest actors has just signed up to star: Loki himself, Tom Hiddleston. The film was originally announced back at SDCC, and at that time it was revealed that Godzilla screenwriter Max Borenstein would draft the screenplay.

Legendary has also announced that The Kings of Summer director Jordan Vogt-Roberts will direct the film (he’s also attached to direct the Metal Gear Solid film… meaning that it probably won’t be made forever, which may be a good thing).

Hiddleston will also star in Legendary / Guillermo Del Toro’s Crimson Peak (which looks phenomenal, by the way), so we better get used to seeing his face (because we weren’t already).

Details are scarce on Skull Island, but the studio states that ‘previous works have touched on the island, but staying on and exploring this mysterious and dangerous place offers Legendary the opportunity to take audiences deeper inside this rich world with a style and scope that parallels other Legendary productions’

Excited? The film will hit theatres on November 4th, 2016.

Briefly: USA’s great-looking new event series, Dig, will not premiere this Fall as it was originally scheduled to.

Middle-Eastern conflict has caused numerous production issues for the six-episode (to start) series, which was originally slated to film in Jerusalem for its entirety, but was later moved to Croatia.

The series “tells the story of Peter (Isaacs), an FBI agent stationed in Jerusalem who, while investigating a murder of a female archeologist, uncovers a conspiracy 2000 years in the making that threatens to change the course of history.”

SJ had the awesome opportunity to sit down with the cast and producers back at SDCC, and it’s safe to say that we’re damned excited for the premiere… sometime next year.

Are you down for Dig? Or does the name Tim Kring make your toes curl (and not in a good way)? Sound out below!

Briefly: Interstellar is almost here!

Well, not really, but we can dream, can’t we?

A new poster has just debuted for the November 7th release, and the image clearly shows our hero Matthew McConaughey on another world. Exactly where he’s going and what he’s up to we won’t know for some time yet, but damn if I’m not intrigued.

If you missed the film’s newest trailer from back in July, definitely take a look at it (and don’t forget the tissues), and be sure to share your speculation on the film below! Us? We can’t wait to get in line.

Interstellar

Interstellar chronicles the adventures of a group of explorers who make use of a newly discovered wormhole to surpass the limitations on human space travel and conquer the vast distances involved in an interstellar voyage.

BloodyDisgusting debuted a sweet (and unsettling) new poster for the film today. Take a look:

Briefly: Let the raiding begin.

While I’m not even close to being high enough level to give this a shot, Bungie has announced that Destiny’s first raid, the Vault of Glass, will open at 2AM Pacific time tonight. It sure sounds like a freaking blast. Here’s what the developer had to say about the event:

“Beneath Venus, evil stirs.”

The Director is light on details for the Raid in Destiny. This is by design. The most elaborate mission ever created by Bungie is a mystery as much as it is a challenge – a puzzle and a gauntlet. The race to see who can be first to solve it – with their cunning and their skill – is about to begin.

At 2:00 AM Pacific on Tuesday, September 16th, the Raid will accept challengers in Destiny. That’s 9:00 AM GMT.

Become Legend.
Not everyone will qualify. Among those who do, not everyone will succeed. To even approach this trial of teamwork and combat, the Guardians in your Fireteam will need to be Level 26.

Gear up. Team up.
Bring with you a team that has made the commitment to work together. Configure your loadouts so that you are powerful together in a variety of ways. Communicate with each other. The Raid will demand that you operate as a team. Cooperation is the key to your success.

Follow the Leader.
It’s very likely that you will not finish the Raid in one sitting. Your Fireteam leader is crucial to your eventual potential success. Your progress will be saved for one week. To resume your mission where you left off, you’ll need to follow the same Fireteam leader back into battle.

Enjoy the View.
There are those among you who are certain that they will be first. They have accepted our dare with a pledge to broadcast their first attempt. If you’re not yet prepared to undertake this rite of passage, you’re welcome to watch as they venture into the hostile unknown.

Do you think you and your friends can beat these intrepid raiding parties to the finish line? Bungie will be watching. And, we’ll celebrate the fastest Fireteam from the Tower.

Of course, once you have completed the Raid, we’ll invite you to try it on hard. That’s the true experience.

Be brave.

Sounds like quite the night(s). Don’t forget the MTD and Doritos, and when you’re finished playing, be sure to let us know your thoughts!

Briefly: Following the plot details released all the way back in July, Marvel has just debuted the official, full synopsis for next year’s The Avengers: Age of Ultron.

Marvel Studios presents “Avengers: Age of Ultron,” the epic follow-up to the biggest Super Hero movie of all time. When Tony Stark tries to jumpstart a dormant peacekeeping program, things go awry and Earth’s Mightiest Heroes, including Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, The Incredible Hulk, Black Widow and Hawkeye, are put to the ultimate test as the fate of the planet hangs in the balance. As the villainous Ultron emerges, it is up to The Avengers to stop him from enacting his terrible plans, and soon uneasy alliances and unexpected action pave the way for an epic and unique global adventure.

Marvel’s “Avengers: Age of Ultron” stars Robert Downey Jr., who returns as Iron Man, along with Chris Evans as Captain America, Chris Hemsworth as Thor and Mark Ruffalo as The Hulk. Together with Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow and Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye, and with the additional support of Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury and Cobie Smulders as Agent Maria Hill, the team must reassemble to defeat James Spader as Ultron, a terrifying technological villain hell-bent on human extinction. Along the way, they confront two mysterious and powerful newcomers, Wanda Maximoff, played by Elizabeth Olsen, and Pietro Maximoff, played by Aaron Taylor-Johnson, and meet an old friend in a new form when Paul Bettany becomes Vision. Written and directed by Joss Whedon and produced by Kevin Feige, Marvel’s “Avengers: Age of Ultron” is based on the ever-popular Marvel comic book series “The Avengers,” first published in 1963. Get set for an action-packed thrill ride when The Avengers return in Marvel’s “Avengers: Age of Ultron” on May 1, 2015.

Getting excited? May 1st isn’t that far away! What are your thoughts on the plot revelation?

Briefly: Finally, finally, finally, the full trailer for The Hunger Games: Mockingly – Part 1 has hit the web.

As if the teasers that we’ve seen so far weren’t intriguing enough, this trailer is totally bad-ass.  As disappointed as I was in the first film in the series, I loved every second of last year’s Catching Fire. As such, I can’t wait to see where this story goes., as I haven’t read a single word of the series. I’ve heard mixed feelings of excitement and resentment from fans of the novels, but it’d be hard to deny how cool this trailer is.

Take a look at the video below, and let us know what you think! Part one of The Hunger Games: Catching Fire hits theatres on November 21st!

The worldwide phenomenon of The Hunger Games continues to set the world on fire with The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1, which finds Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence) in District 13 after she literally shatters the games forever. Under the leadership of President Coin (Julianne Moore) and the advice of her trusted friends, Katniss spreads her wings as she fights to save Peeta (Josh Hutcherson) and a nation moved by her courage. The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1 is directed by Francis Lawrence from a screenplay by Danny Strong and Peter Craig and produced by Nina Jacobson’s Color Force in tandem with producer Jon Kilik. The novel on which the film is based is the third in a trilogy written by Suzanne  Collins that has over 65 million copies in print in the U.S. alone.

Briefly: We’re big fans of the latest Godzilla (check out Jonathan’s spoiler-free review here), but that doesn’t mean that the film isn’t filled to the brim with inconsistencies that the fine folks over at Screen Junkies are so damned good at pointing out.

I still love the film, but the latest Honest Trailer was just too good not to share. Check it out below.

Pretty great, huh? Godzilla hits Blu-Ray on September 16th!

Briefly: The game was (disappointingly) delayed to February 2015 back in May, but Techland today revealed that Dying Light will hit store shelves a little sooner than we’ expected.

The developer send out the following tweet, revealing the new (and closer) launch date for the title:

It’s fairly easy to see that this game is coming together nicely. I was a big fan of Techland’s previous effort, Dead Island (despite its many issues), and Dying Light is certainly one of my most anticipated titles of 2015 Take a look at the latest trailer below, and let us know how excited you are for this one! Dying Light will release on PS4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360, and PC.

Briefly: We’re less than two weeks away from the anticipated premiere of the second season of Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., and a batch of new stills from the season opener have just made their way online.

The images give us quite an insight into the season’s first episode, and also our look at Hayley Attwell’s Peggy Carter in the series. She’ll, of course, be starring in her own series, Agent Carter sometime next year.

I did not enjoy Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. when it first premiered. I actually stopped watching it and only returned once I’d heard that it had significantly increased in quality (thanks Jon). Now, I really, really can’t wait for season two’s premiere. What have you thought of the series so far?

Briefly: Destiny is now available worldwide, and though I haven’t yet had the opportunity to spend much time in the world of Bungie’s latest space epic, I really can’t wait to fully explore and experience the vast world(s) that the game has to offer. I spent a ton of time with Destiny‘s alpha way back in the day, and I’ve been nothing but happy with the retail release thus far.

One of Destiny‘s best features is its phenomenal soundtrack. The game was composed by Marty O’Donnell, Mike Salvatori, and Paul McCartney, the latter actually creating a single specifically for the game’s release.

I hadn’t yet heard the track in my brief time in Old Russia, but YouTuber Kilo Juliett has been kind enough to put the track online. You can give it a listen for yourself below, and don’t forget to watch the game’s live-action trailer if you haven’t yet, and be sure to let us know what you’re thinking of Destiny so far!

Briefly: We’re finally just a few weeks away from the anticipated premiere of American Horror Story‘s next tale, Freak Show, and following the first real trailer from a few days back (after those freaky-as-shit teasers that is).

The new trailer introduced us to a few of Freak Show‘s main characters without revealing anything about the plot, but FX has just released the premiere’s synopsis to get us speculating. In the episode, titled ‘Monsters Among Us’, “One of the only surviving sideshows in the country struggles to stay in business during the dawning era of television. When police make a terrifying discovery at a local farmhouse, the eccentric purveyor of the freak show sees an opportunity that will lead her troupe either to their salvation or ruin.“

A few new character posters have also made their way online, so take a look below, and let us know what you think! American Horror Story: Freak Show premieres on October 8th.

Briefly: It was all the way back in May that Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice director Zack Snyder gave us our first look at the new (draped) Batmobile.

The old image was cool, but didn’t really reveal much about the new vehicle. The director just tweeted a new image, and it’s one that gives us a much better look.

Take a peek at the image below, and let us know what you think! Batman V. Superman: Dawn of Justice hits theatres on May 6th, 2016.

Briefly: Kari went hands-on with Alien: Isolation at E3, and one of the biggest surprises of the experience was just how tense the game can be.

It also doesn’t stink, which is almost a surprise after last year’s horrendous Aliens: Colonial Marines.

Sega has just debuted a new trailer for the anticipated game, and it’s one that shows a rough end for Ripley. We’re genuinely excited for the title, and now that it’s gone gold, we’re beyond excited for its release.

Take a look at the new trailer below, and let us know what you think. Alien: Isolation hits PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and PC on October 7th.

Briefly: We’re finally just a few weeks away from the anticipated premiere of American Horror Story‘s next tale, Freak Show, and FX has just released the first real trailer for the series (following those freaky-as-shit teasers that is).

Briefly: Following the full trailer that premiered all the way back at SDCC (it seems like so long ago), and the new poster from last week, AMC has debuted a new one-minute trailer for the series’ anticipated return.

It’s an awesome look at the upcoming season, and it definitely makes me fear for some of our survivors lives. In addition, I don’t think we’ve ever, ever seen Rick so ready to kill.

It’s certainly set to be a crazy season, and I really can’t wait to see more. Take a look at the spot below, and let us know what you think! The Walking Dead returns on October 14th!

Briefly: Following the reveal of the season premiere date a few weeks back, FX has debuted two more creepy teasers for October’s American Horror Story: Freak Show.

Titled ‘Lick’ and ‘Spotlight’, both short videos are pretty equally disturbing… and exciting.

Take a look at the teasers below, and let us know if you’ll be tuning in when Freak Show premieres on October 8th.

Titled ‘Open Wide’, ‘Sword Swallow’, and ‘Twisted Smile’, that damned clown is one of the freakiest things I’ve ever seen. Take a look at all three below, and let us know what you think!

Briefly: Following the release of the official gameplay launch trailer two weeks back, and the reveal of the game’s Playstation exclusive content last week, Bungie has debuted a phenomenal live-action trailer for next week’s release.

I’ve been enamoured with Destiny for as long as I can remember, and that feeling was exacerbated by the short time that I’ve been able to spend with it. September 9th really, really can’t come soon enough. I played the Alpha and Beta as much as I possibly could, and in that time Destiny became one of my favourite games of the year. I cannot wait to play the full game, and I cannot wait to learn the full story through its bad-ass companion app (seriously, it’s so freaking well done).

It’s definitely my most anticipated title of the year, and I am going to spend way too much time on it. Just five more days to go!

Watch the amazing live-action trailer below, and let us know if you’re becoming legend on September 9th.

Briefly: Following the release of the official launch trailer two weeks back, and the reveal of the game’s Playstation exclusive content last week, Bungie and Playstation have debuted a new video that shows off the Playstation exclusive Strike mission, Dust Palace.
