Briefly: Having issues with Xbox Live currently?

You’re not the only one. Users have been reporting issues for several hours at this point, and while it’s not uncommon for online services like Xbox Live and PSN to go down, it’s not often that we see as amazing a reaction as Snoop Dogg himself just posted to Instagram.

Microsoft’s official note on the outage states: ‘Hey Xbox members, are you having trouble creating or joining your multiplayer sessions? Are you running into an issue with viewing notifications? We are aware of these issues and are working with our engineers to get this corrected ASAP! Thank you for your patience while we work. We’ll post another update when more information becomes available.’

Snoop, however, isn’t having any of it:

Message to xbox1 n ea server fix your shit or playstation here we come ??✨??

Based on Snoop’s reaction, Microsoft better get its s**t together, for all of our sakes.

Briefly: As a huge fan of Heroes initial four season run (yes, I watched it all the way through), I was beyond excited when NBC announced Heroes Reborn in February of 2014. The first series ended with an infuriating cliffhanger, and after a resolution was promised via a film, and then via comic book, and then essentially never spoken about again, I thought that surely the universe of Heroes was simply dead.

While it’s not bound to be winning any Emmy’s, I’ve been eating up everything that Heroes Reborn has to offer thus far, and I was beyond excited about the prospects of the series continuing.

Sadly (well, for me anyways), it looks like this will be the end for our Heroes, new and old, as NBC chairman Bob Greenblatt told THR that a second season has not even been discussed: “That was always the plan, unless Tim woke up one day and said, ‘Oh, I have another chapter to tell.’ But I think we’re coming to the end of the world, maybe. Stay tuned.”

THR pressed, noting that series creator Tim Kring has been vocal about continuing this universe, only for Greenblatt to reiterate that “He didn’t say that to me, so I haven’t heard that. As far as I know, there’s no more incarnations of Heroescoming.”

Colour me disappointed. Heroes Reborn isn’t even close to being the best superhero-oriented show on television, but I’ll be damned if I don’t love it anyways. Have you been enjoying the series thus far? What do you hope for its conclusion? Sound out below!

Briefly: Well, it’s award season. Along with the already passed Golden Globes (see all of the winners here), and the upcoming Academy Awards, we can’t forget about The Razzies, the ceremony that celebrates (?) the worst of the worst, and generally the most entertaining awards show of the season.

The nominations for this year’s Razzies have just been revealed. Take a look at the announcement below, and head further down for the list of nominees!

All five films up for Worst Picture at this year’s 36th Annual Razzie® Awards are big budget/high profile productions that have no excuse for being among the year’s “berry” worst. And 2015’s acting contenders include popular stars like Johnny Depp, Channing Tatum, and Kayley Cuoco-Sweeting, previous Oscar®winners Gwyneth Paltrow, Eddie Redmaine and Julianne Moore, and such Razzie Repeat Offenders as Adam Sandler, Jennifer Lopez and Katherine Heigl. “Winners” will be announced in intentionally tacky ceremonies scheduled for 8pm/PST on Saturday February 27 — Oscar eve.

The choices for Worst Picture include Fifty Shades of Grey (2015’s “Most Successful Bad Movie”) Fantastic 4 (a nearly instant remake that flopped with both critics and movie-goers) Jupiter Ascending (the latest sci-fi fiasco from Andy & Lana Wachowski) Paul Blart Mall Cop 2 (a box office hit despite its 95% negative rating at Rotten Tomatoes) and Adam Sandler’s latest excuse for a movie, the 70’s video game-themed Pixels. A complete list of all nominees is included with this press release. There is also a Nominations announcement video on The YouTube RAZZIE Channel.

For this year’s 9 regular Razzie categories, contenders and “winners” are determined by seeking online votes from over 900 Voting Razzie Members throughout 47 U.S. states and 21 foreign countries. For the 10th category, The Razzie Redeemer Award, (which acknowledges past Razzie “winners” who’ve gone on to do better work) the honoree will be decided by a public vote of users at popular movie review website Rotten Tomatoes.

Briefly: Back in December, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment officially revealed the next DLC pack for Mortal Kombat X.

The ‘Kombat Pack 2’ is set to release sometime in early 2016, and is set to include Xenomorph from Alien, Leatherface, Triborg and Bo’ Rai Cho.

Yep, those are some freaking crazy additions to the already intense roster.

Today, the studio debuted the first gameplay trailer for the DLC, and while each and every addition looks like a worthy Kombatant, the Xenomorph (complete with Facehugger) is by far the character I’m most looking forward to playing.

Of course, those who purchase the pack will also gain access to Goro (who was previously a pre-order bonus), as well as:

Apocalypse Pack – The Apocalypse Pack features three new character skins, reimagining characters Takeda, D’Vorah and Erron Black with an apocalyptic theme.

Brazil Pack – The Brazil Pack features three new character skins: Futbol Cage, Capoeira Liu Kang and Gaucho Kung Lao.

Kold War Pack – The Kold War Pack includes three new character skins: Motherland Sonya, Tundra Sub-Zero and Revolution Kano.

Kold War Scorpion – Kold War-themed Scorpion character skin.

Take a look at the trailer below, and be sure to let us know what you think!

Briefly: Last year’s Mad Max: Fury Road, blew everyone’s f***ing minds.

The starkly different-looking film, with its unparalleled action and phenomenal performances is still being talked about, and showed up on more ‘Best of 2015’ lists than I ever thought would be possible (even ours… multiple times).

All of us Mad Max fans, new and old, hoped that Miller would start working on another film as soon as possible, rather than waiting for another 30 years to go by before seeing the franchise continued.

Well, based on the success of Fury Road, It’d be crazy to think that we’ll be waiting long for another Mad Max title, but unfortunately it won’t be coming from Miller. After months and months of talking about where he may take the next film’s, the celebrated director stated the following in an interview with PageSix:

I won’t make more ‘Mad Max’ movies… I’ve shot in Australia in a field of wild flowers and flat red earth when it rained heavily forever. We had to wait 18 months and every return to the US was 27 hours. Those ‘Mad Maxes’ take forever. I won’t do those anymore.”

Yep. We’re upset too.

Who would you like to see in the director’s chair for the next, inevitable Mad Max title? Or, without Miller in charge, would you rather see the series simply retired? Sound out below.

Briefly: Finally.

After months and months of rumours, and our first official look at the character back in the Captain America: Civil War trailer, Marvel has finally, officially revealed who will be taking the reins on the anticipated Black Panther film.

After Creed blew absolutely everyone away earlier this year (his debut feature, Fruitvale Station is quite exceptional as well), Ryan Coogler has officially been tapped to direct the picture.

Marvel’s Kevin Feige notes that “We are fortunate to have such an esteemed filmmaker join the Marvel family. The talents Ryan showcased in his first two films easily made him our top choice to direct ‘Black Panther.’  Many fans have waited a long time to see Black Panther in his own film, and with Ryan we know we’ve found the perfect director to bring T’Challa’s story to life.”

So, what do you think of the choice? Excited, right? Yeah, us too.

Briefly: Ready for more silly, yet effective marketing for next year’s Deadpool?

Yeah you are. 20th Century Fox has just debuted a new TV spot for the anticipated film, which features a lot of the same footage that we’ve already seen, along with a romantic new intro, and… well, a roundhouse kick.

Deadpool tells the origin story of former Special Forces operative turned mercenary Wade Wilson, who after being subjected to a rogue experiment that leaves him with accelerated healing powers, adopts the alter ego Deadpool. Armed with his new abilities and a dark, twisted sense of humor, Deadpool hunts down the man who nearly destroyed his life.

Take a look at the spot below, and let us know what you hope to see in the final film! Deadpool hits (North American) theatres on February 12th!

Briefly: I feel very envious of you US-based readers right now.

As a Canadian, there’ll be no ahem-legitimate way for me to watch Hulu’s upcoming adaptation of Stephen King’s 11.22.63, but it looks so damned cool I may just have to make the move stateside to see it (or, you know, use a VPN).

After teasing the series for some time now, Hulu has just debuted the first official trailer for the series.

11.22.63 is a thriller in which high school English teacher Jake Epping (James Franco) travels back in time to prevent the assassination of President John F. Kennedy — but his mission is threatened by Lee Harvey Oswald, falling in love and the past itself, which doesn’t want to be changed.

The series also stars Chris Cooper, Josh Duhamel, T.R. Knight, Cherry Jones, Sarah Gadon, Lucy Fry, George MacKay and Daniel Webber.

Fittingly, 11.22.63 will debut on President’s Day, Feb. 15, 2016, on Hulu.

Take a look at the trailer below, and let us know if you’re looking forward to this enticing series!

Tonight, thousands of pretty and talented Hollywood bigwigs gathered to give recognition to the best performances, films, shorts, and television series’ of 2013. Ricky Gervais hosted this year’s gathering, and has already apologized for his actions and antics at this year’ ceremony.

Actually, he apologized for them last week:

This year’s ceremony was a blast to watch, and as much as I missed Tina Fey and Amy Poehler, Ricky Gervais is always a stellar host (even if those Mel Gibson jokes were a bit scary).

Here are all of the winners from this year’s Golden Globes, including well deserved wins for Brie Larson, the funniest movie of 2015, The Martian, an incredible standing ovation from Sylvester Stallone, a fantastic speech from Leo, and much, much more! Briefly: It’s about time.

Breaking Bad fans everywhere have been hankering for more of Bob Odenkirk’s fantastic Saul Goodman performance ever since the pre/side/se-quel series, Better Call Saul  concluded its first season back in of 2015.

After revealing the second season premiere back in November, today AMC debuted the first trailer for the upcoming episodes.

Showrunner Peter Gould let fans know that “Jimmy McGill’s journey takes surprising, left-handed turns in Season 2 He goes to places we’d never, ever expected. As for Mike Ehrmantraut (played by Emmy nominee Jonathan Banks), he’s pulled deeper into a world he was sure he’d left forever. We can’t wait to share the next chapter of Better Call Saul with the fans who have embraced the show.”

And we can’t wait to see it. The incredible writing and production value of Breaking Bad certainly made it to the spinoff in full force, and I’ve been dying to learn more about Jimmy McGill’s world since that fantastic finale mid last year.

You can take a look at the trailer below, and be sure to let us know what you think! Better Call Saul returns on February 15th!

It’s giveaway time!

We wanted to start Geekscape’s new year off with a bang, and what better way to do that than partnering with pals at Universal Pictures Home Entertainment to give away Blu-Rays of a few of the hottest horror titles of 2015?

That’s right! One luck winner will receive Blu-Ray versions of M. Night Shyamalan’s return to form, The Visit, Eli Roth’s The Green Inferno, and Ciaran Foy’s surprising sequel, Sinister 2.

Entering the giveaway couldn’t be easier (more on that below), but first, you should probably make sure that you can even handle this giveaway. All three of these films are absolutely terrifying, and The Green Inferno features some of the most brutal gore I’ve seen this side of Hostel (fittingly, seeing as they’re both Eli Roth films).

Learn a little bit about each film below, and keep reading in order to enter!

Sinister 2

In the aftermath of the shocking events of Sinister, a protective mother (Shannyn Sossamon of Wayward Pines) and her nine-year-old twin sons (real-life brothers Robert and Dartanian Sloan) find themselves marked for death in a rural house as the evil spirit of Bughuul continues to spread with frightening intensity.

The Green Inferno

New York college student Justine (Lorenza Izzo) meets student activist Alejandro (Ariel Levy) when he goes on a hunger strike on behalf of underpaid janitors. Smitten, she agrees to help Alejandro undertake his next project: rescuing an Amazon village from destruction by a greedy multinational corporation. But Justine soon comes to regret her decision when their plane crashes in the Peruvian jungle and the students realize they are not alone. No good deed goes unpunished as the well-meaning students are captured by the cannibalistic tribe they came to save.

The Visit

When Becca and Tyler are sent to their grandparents’ secluded Pennsylvania farmhouse for a weeklong stay, they quickly discover something is not right with the elderly couple. Faced with strange rules and increasingly frightening behavior, the children soon realize it will take all their wits to make it home alive. Critics rave the latest heart-pounding thriller from the director of The Sixth Sense and Signs and the producer of Paranormal Activity and The Purge is a “deliciously creepy triumph.” (Scott Mendelson, Forbes.com)

Briefly: Following the very first teaser debut early last month, HBO has just officially announced when Game of Thrones will premiere its widely anticipated sixth season.

Season six will debut on Sunday, April 24th, meaning that I have just over two months to get through the last two seasons of the celebrated drama.

Yeah, I know. I have no idea what’s wrong with me.

In any case, this season the series will actually develop the plot further than the released books have, due to the latest delay for George RR Martin’s The Winds of Winter. Those who have followed the novels, will you be watching the series this year knowing it will spoil the plot of the next book? Be sure to sound out in the comments below!

And what’s this about Jon Snow?

Briefly: Earlier this week, a heavy rumour led a plethora of outlets (including us) to report that the second season of the Marvel/Netflix masterpiece, Daredevil, would debut on March 25th (the very same day that Warner Bros. Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice hits theatres).

Netflix has just debuted a new teaser for the anticipated season, which doesn’t offer any new footage, but does give us a gorgeous recap of some of the events in the series’ celebrated first season before revealing season two’s official worldwide release date at its conclusion.

If this teaser exists simply to make us want to re-watch Daredevil before its just-announced March 18th premiere, it’s damned successful at it, as I’m now desperate for my Daredevil fix.

In any case, take a look at the new teaser and neat poster below, and let us know just how excited you are for more Daredevil!

Just when Matt thinks he is bringing order back to the city, new forces are rising in Hell’s Kitchen. Now the Man Without Fear must take on a new adversary in Frank Castle and face an old flame – Elektra Natchios.

I’m still impossibly far away from grabbing a subscription to Playstation Now, but at this point it’s certainly not for a lack of content. My PS4 and Wii U backlogs continue to grow, and I simply can’t add another generation of missed experiences to that list. In any case, at this point you’re certainly getting your twenty dollars worth with the myriad of titles at your disposal, and Sony often has some pretty great promotions on the service as well. At this point, if youre looking at dollar per hour of content/fun, Playstation Now would be hard to beat.

Are you a Playstation Now subscriber? What have you thought of the service thus far? Are you excited for these new additions? Be sure to let us know in the comments below!

Briefly: I remember being so excited for the Pride and Prejudice and Zombies adaptation when it was first announced back in 2009 (the same year that the book was first published). Since then, the film has shifted stars, directors, studios, and more. At last year’s New York Comic-Con we saw the film’s first image , and late last year we were treated to the bloody awesome first footage.

really enjoyed the novel, turning something that was nearly impossible for me to get through into something funny, original, and incredibly intriguing. I really can’t wait to see how the film adaptation turns out.

A new TV spot for the film has just hit the web, and it definitely gets me hungry to see the full feature. You can take a look at the video below, and be sure to let us know what you think! Pride and Prejudice and Zombies hits theatres on February 5th!

Briefly: More gorgeous footage from a beautiful-looking feature.

I’ve never actually seen Disney’s original The Jungle Book, but with an incredible cast like this one, and some absolutely fantastic footage to back it up, you better believe that I’m excited for this one.

The Jungle Book also looks absolutely built for 3D, and I’m at my happiest when a film has an effective, well thought out 3D version.

The April 15th feature stars Scarlett Johansson, Idris Elba, Bill Murray, Ben Kingsley, Giancarlo Esposito, Christopher Walken, Lupita Wyong’o, and more, and is directed by Iron Man and Chef‘s Jon Favreau.

Take a look at the new, extended trailer below, and let us know if you’re looking forward to the film!

https://youtu.be/yt7jEI83_FI

Directed by Jon Favreau (“Iron Man”), based on Rudyard Kipling’s timeless stories and inspired by Disney’s classic animated film, “The Jungle Book” is an all-new live-action epic adventure about Mowgli (newcomer Neel Sethi), a man-cub who’s been raised by a family of wolves. But Mowgli finds he is no longer welcome in the jungle when fearsome tiger Shere Khan (voice of Idris Elba), who bears the scars of Man, promises to eliminate what he sees as a threat.

Urged to abandon the only home he’s ever known, Mowgli embarks on a captivating journey of self-discovery, guided by panther-turned-stern mentor Bagheera (voice of Ben Kingsley), and the free-spirited bear Baloo (voice of Bill Murray). Along the way, Mowgli encounters jungle creatures who don’t exactly have his best interests at heart, including Kaa (voice of Scarlett Johansson), a python whose seductive voice and gaze hypnotizes the man-cub, and the smooth-talking King Louie (voice of Christopher Walken), who tries to coerce Mowgli into giving up the secret to the elusive and deadly red flower: fire.

The all-star cast also includes Lupita Nyong’o as the voice of the fiercely protective mother wolf Raksha, and Giancarlo Esposito as the voice of wolf pack’s alpha male Akela. “The Jungle Book” seamlessly blends live-action with photorealistic CGI animals and environments, using up-to-the-minute technology and storytelling techniques to immerse audiences in an enchanting and lush world.

Briefly: Sony sure seems pretty confident these days.

And with more consoles sold than the competition this generation, and coming off of a great 2015 lineup (aside from The Order: 1886, I suppose), why wouldn’t they be?

That confidence continues into 2016, where the company has once again deemed that this year the PS4 will be ‘The Best Place to Play’. Sony has just debuted an exciting video detailing just some of the exclusives and firsts coming to the Playstation 4 throughout this year, and while a myriad of these titles are bound to be delayed (as is the style in this generation), this year looks to be another phenomenal year to be a gamer.

And this is just one company. With a plethora of Nintendo titles on the way, and some great looking Xbox One exclusives coming in 2016, where the heck do we even begin?

Take a look at the video below, and be sure to let us know what you’re looking forward to this year.

Briefly: Ready for more silly, yet effective marketing for next year’s Deadpool?

Yeah you are.

20th Century Fox has just taken to Twitter to debut a new TV spot for the anticipated film. This spot shows the film off as the love story that it really is, and notes to ‘Never judge a book by its cover – unless it’s the Kama Sutra.’

Briefly: Following the gorgeous set of stills released last week, which gave us our first clear looks at Elektra and Jon Bernthal’s Punisher, an intriguing rumour for Daredevil‘s upcoming second season has just hit the web.

Comicbook.com has reported that Netflix will launch Daredevil‘s second season just a few months from now on March 25th.

That date sounds familiar, doesn’t it? That’s because it’s the very same day that Warner Bros. will debut its sure-to-be-a-blockbuster Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice in theatres.

Nothing has been confirmed at this point, but debuting Daredevil on Batman v. Superman‘s release day could surely be a thorn in Warner Bros. box office side. Dawn of Justice was designed from the start to launch DC’s joined cinematic universe, and I’m sure that Marvel would love to have as much of an affect on its opening weekend as possible.

It’s not the first time that Marvel has done this, so it certainly wouldn’t be unprecedented, as Captain America: Civil War‘s May 6th launch was also the origial release date for Batman v. Superman, before Warner Bros. pulled the film to March 25th.

In any case, if the rumour turns out to be true? Which will you be watching first? Sound out below!

Briefly: We’re now just over a week away from The 5th Wave’s anticipated release, and three exciting clips for the film have just debuted online.

The film is based on a young adult novel by Rick Yancey, and in it “four waves of increasingly deadly attacks have left most of Earth decimated. Against a backdrop of fear and distrust, Cassie (Chloë Grace Moretz) is on the run, desperately trying to save her younger brother. As she prepares for the inevitable and lethal 5th wave, Cassie teams up with a young man who may become her final hope – if she can only trust him.”

Re-watch the film’s trailer right here, take a look at the clips below, and let us know what you think! The 5th Wave hits theatres on January 15th!

Briefly: Well, we made it three whole days into 2016 without a major delay. That’s a pretty good run, isn’t it?

It wasn’t meant to last, however, as Platinum Games’ highly anticipated Xbox One exclusive, Scalebound, will not make its Holiday 2016 debut.

The developer noted the delay this morning on their official blog, stating that “In order to deliver on our ambitious vision and ensure that Scalebound lives up to expectations, we will be launching the game in 2017. This will give us the time needed to bring to life all the innovative features and thrilling gameplay experiences that we have planned.”

Scalebound looks fantastic, and we fell in love with the title back at GamesCom last year. While we’re certainly sad that we won’t be playing the title later this year, we appreciate that the game never had a solid release date to break (just a launch window), and that it was delayed with nearly a year left until it was set to launch.

In any case, we’ll be busy this year playing all of those games that were supposed to come out in 2015, am I right?

Are you sad to hear about the delay? How excited are you for Scalebound‘s eventual release? Sound out in the comments below!

Briefly: Well, I still haven’t caught up on this season of The Walking Dead (I’m about four episodes behind), so I’m staying as far away from this video as possible, but for those of you who are interested, AMC has just debuted the first teaser for The Walking Dead‘s midseason premiere.

With Negan set to debut later this year (perfectly cast, I should add) and a seventh season confirmed, it’s a damned good time to be a The Walking Dead fan.

Take a look at the teaser below, and be sure to let us know what you think! The Walking Dead returns on February 14th!

Briefly: Following the hilarious IMAX trailer (and stylish poster) from last week, Fox has just debuted a trio of new stills from next year’s anticipated Deadpool film.

Sure, the images don’t reveal much from the upcoming feature… aside from Negasonic Teenage Warhead wearing a New Mutants uniform, which is pretty freaking cool.

Take a look at the images below, and let us know what you hope to see in the final film! Deadpool hits (North American) theatres on February 12th!

Briefly: Yeah, this is barely news, but as a huge fan of iZombie, someone that loved Veronica Mars, and an all-around Rob Thomas fanboy, this is very exciting.

EW has just revealed that Veronica Mars herself, Kristen Bell, will sort of be making an appearance on an iZombie episode next month.

The episode will air on January 26th, and is (hilariously) titled ’50 Shades of Grey Matter’. During the episode ‘things get interesting for Liv (Rose McIver) after she consumes the brain of a young librarian who was poisoned, and who also happened to secretly be an erotic fiction writer’

Where does Kristen Bell fit in? Well, she’s certainly no stranger to narration, based on her long roles on Veronica Mars and Gossip Girl, so she’ll fit right into iZombie with a voiceover role on the episode. In any case, it sounds like a hilarious 42 minutes, and a fantastic way to get Veronica Mars fans interested in the show.

And here I was still reeling over the series getting an extra six episodes this season…

Are you as excited as I am? Sound out below!

Briefly: Yep, we just had our first look at Jon Bernthal’s Punisher a few hours ago (well, after we saw the back of his head back at NYCC), and now Netflix has debuted a batch of new stills from Daredevil‘s heavily anticipated second season.

The images feature our beloved trio, another, even better look at Punisher, and even a shot of the mysterious Elektra.

As much as I love pretty much everything with Netflix’ name on it, the second season of Daredevil is by far my most anticipated. It’s been far, far too many years since we’ve seen a close-to-decent Punisher performance onscreen, and Jon Bernthal’s intensity should lend itself well to the role.

For now, take a look at the new stills below, and be sure to let us know what you hope to see in the season! Daredevil‘s second season will hit Netflix sometime in 2016!

Briefly: Sure, we saw a split second shot of the back of his head back in the first teaser for Daredevil‘s second season back in October, but following our first look at Doctor Strange yesterday, EW has just given us our first real look at Jon Bernthal’s Punisher.

EW notes that Daredevil‘s upcoming season will bring with it a ‘faster pace, more romance, and some morally complex storytelling that introduces the controversial gun-touting super-antihero The Punisher.’

The article also reveals that, unlike the slow-burn beginning of Daredevil‘s first season, ‘season 2 opens with an action scene and very quickly introduces Frank Castle a.k.a. The Punisher. Co-showrunner Doug Petrie notes that “The advantage of any sequel is you can dive right in. We hit the ground running and then we ran as fast as we f—ing could.”

We can’t freaking wait. Head over to EW for more revelations from the first-look article, and be sure to let us know if you’re excited for Daredevil‘s return!

Oh, we also got a shot of Karen and Matt playing pool all flirty like:

Briefly: Following that exciting-as-hell first trailer late last month, the stylish key art from a few weeks back, and the most recent character posters, the CW has just debuted a brand new trailer for next month’s Legends of Tomorrow.

When heroes alone are not enough… the world needs legends. Having seen the future, one he will desperately try to prevent from happening, time-traveling rogue Rip Hunter is tasked with assembling a disparate group of both heroes and villains to confront an unstoppable threat — one in which not only is the planet at stake, but all of time itself. Can this ragtag team defeat an immortal threat unlike anything they have ever known?

DC’s Legends of Tomorrow stars Victor Garber (The Flash, Alias); Brandon Routh (Arrow, Superman Returns); Arthur Darvill (Doctor Who); Caity Lotz (Arrow); Ciarra Renee (Pippin); Franz Drameh (Edge of Tomorrow); with Dominic Purcell (The Flash, Prison Break); and Wentworth Miller (The Flash, Prison Break).

Take a look at the trailer below, and be sure to let us know how excited you are for the January 21st premiere!

Briefly: Just a few hours ago we received our first official look at Benedict Cumberbatch as Doctor Strange via the latest cover for Entertainment Weekly, and the publication has now published more gorgeous photos from the anticipated film.

The images consist of two photos (one pretty magical), and a few sleek pieces of concept art for the film. I don’t know if there was any doubt on this one, but it’s pretty clear from the stills that Cumberbatch looks absolutely exceptional in this outfit.

Of course, we still don’t know much at all about the feature, but hopefully something will be revealed soon! In any case, you can take a look at the new stills below, and be sure to let us know what you hope to see in the film! Doctor Strange hits theatres on November 4th, 2016!

Briefly: Oh man. More marketing to drum up excitement for The X-Files. Anyone feel like ever teasers, to the full trailer, to the stylish posters, and beyond have been stellar thus far?

Yeah, me too. Fox knows that they have a hit on their hands (and a good one, based on the impressions that we heard from NYCC back in October), and are doing all that they can to drive the hype to astronomical levels.

That trend continues with a huge 21 minute featurette for the upcoming series. In the video, we go behind the scenes with Chris Carter, David Duchovny, Gillian Anderson and all the key players as they reveal secrets from the set and take you on the epic journey of bringing this classic series back to Fox.

Thirteen years after the original series run, the next mind-bending chapter of THE X-FILES will be a thrilling, six-episode event series helmed by creator/executive producer Chris Carter, with stars David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson re-inhabiting their roles as iconic FBI Agents FOX MULDER and DANA SCULLY. This marks the momentous return of the Emmy- and Golden Globe Award-winning pop culture phenomenon, which remains one of the longest-running sci-fi series in network television history. Production on THE X-FILES event series is set to begin in summer 2015.

THE X-FILES originally premiered in September 1993. Over the course of its nine-season run, the influential series went from breakout sci-fi favorite to massive global hit, and became one of the most successful television dramas of all time. The show, which earned 16 Emmy Awards, five Golden Globes and a Peabody Award, follows FBI special agents Scully (Anderson) and Mulder (Duchovny), as they investigate unexplained cases – “X-Files” – for which the only answers involve paranormal phenomena.

In any case, trust no one, take a look at the lengthy featurette below, and let us know what you hope to see in the January 24th premiere!

Briefly: Marvel’s Doctor Strange just started production last month, and following the film’s first featurette from a couple of weeks back, we’ve just received our first official look at a classic-looking Strange via the latest cover for Entertainment Weekly.

Based on the Marvel comic character who first appeared in “Strange Tales” Issue #110 published in July 1963, Marvel’s “Doctor Strange” continues the lineage of epic big-screen adventures chronicled in Marvel’s  “Iron Man,” “The Incredible Hulk,” “Iron Man 2,” “Thor,” “Captain America: The First Avenger,” “The Avengers,” “Iron Man 3,” “Thor: The Dark World,” “Captain America: The Winter Soldier,” “Guardians of the Galaxy,” “Avengers: Age of Ultron,” “Ant-Man” and the upcoming “Captain America: Civil War,” (May 6, 2016), “Guardians of the Galaxy 2” (May 5, 2017) and  “Thor: Ragnarok” (November 3, 2017).

Of course, we still don’t know much at all about the feature, but it’d be hard to argue with just how stellar Cumberbatch looks here. Take a look at the cover below, and be sure to let us know what you think! Doctor Strange hits theatres on November 4th, 2016!
