Hot on the heels of Monday’s plot reveal; we have ourselves something truly incredible. Check out the latest trailer for Logan.

Personally I wasn’t totally on board with Logan. The first teaser trailer didn’t do it for me. It just felt like another X-Men movie, but with the added emotional hostage taking of Johnny Cash’s Hurt. Today’s trailer put me in the boots of Wolverine. I got invested in the characters, and for a trailer to do that means this film should be on point.

Logan is directed by James Mangold and stars Hugh Jackman, Patrick Stewart, Richard E. Grant, Boyd Holbrook, Stephen Merchant, and Dafne Keen.

Catch it in theaters March 3rd.

This week on Monday Music we’re bringing you a delicious future house remix of that crazy popular hip-hop song Broccoli. Check out the Party Pupils Remix below.

If you’ve been living under a rock lately, let me bring you up to speed. Broccoli debuted early last year from hiphop artists D.R.A.M. and Lil Yachty. It’s very much in the same boat (HAH!) as Lil Yachty’s Minnesota. In this up-and-coming sub-genre upbeat and lively, lullaby-esque melodies combine with hard hitting trap style sub-bass to bring a surprisingly cohesive song that kicks.  The lyrics that accompany the tune are just as fun and upbeat. Broccoli has hit double platinum since it’s release in April 2016.

That brings us to the track you’ve just listened to. The Party Pupils Remix takes the extremely recognizable lyrics from the original and adds a toe-tapping sidechained beat. This is how to remix a song; music producers take note.

Be sure to check out more of Party Pupils on their Facebook.

So ‘scapists, what do you think? A faithful remix of the original or utter trash? Let us know below!

MERRY SWITCHMAS!

We’d like to thank everyone for following along with here at Geekscape as we talk about our hopes and dreams for the Nintendo Switch (check out the previous 11 days here). Today is the big day, It’s Switchmas!

Tonight at 8PM PST, Nintendo will be live streaming a huge reveal for the upcoming console, The Switch. They will be going over the price of the console (rumored to be around $300 USD), launch titles and upcoming software.

We invite all ‘scapists to join the crew of Geekscape Games tonight at 8PM to watch the conference with us. We’ll be going live around 7:30 PM PST so be sure to join the chat. You can watch below, or head on over to GeekscapeTV on Twitch!

Watch live video from GeekscapeTV on www.twitch.tv

It’s Day 4 of our 12 Days of Switchmas, and the editors have foolishly given it to me! (Be sure you check out Day 3 here). We all have our personal wishes and desires for the upcoming console from Nintendo, and today I am going to be talking all about mine: Third Party Support & Title Parity.

One of, if not the biggest, complaint Nintendo has received over the last decade (or two) is its third party support – or rather, the lack thereof. Nintendo is the juggernaut of video gaming; they saved the video game industry in 1985 with the North America release of the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) &  R.O.B. accessory. Hell up until 2004, most people just referred to playing video games as “Playing Nintendo”.

So why is third party support such a big problem for them? The NES, SNES, and Nintendo 64 all defined their respective generations; each had legendary third party titles released on them. To this day Street Fighter II Turbo on the SNES is hailed as the best release of the game. So what happened?

Omitting the “Nintendo Seal of Quality” and their stance on content, the biggest limiting factor is their decision for hardware architecture. Switching to the IBM PowerPC family of chips for the Wii and Wii U was a big problem for third party developers, especially if they wanted to have a title released on all three consoles and PC. Coupled with the consoles’ gimmicks (motion, gamepad, touch, etc.), and the weaker overall hardware,  it became a perfect storm for a third party mutiny. Call of Duty: Black Ops was particularly disgusting on the Wii.

I am a Nintendo boy at heart (well, I was a Sega boy until they gave up making hardware and switched to destroying their characters). I want to see Nintendo talked about in the same light as Sony and Microsoft when it comes to gaming. I miss the days of going out and getting a game on the GameCube that my buddy had on his PS2, so we could play through the same title and share the same experience. I want Nintendo to be the big boys on the block again.

I also think it will be a more competitive market benefiting the consumer. Right now, to be a complete gamer, you have to get your PC, your “flagship” console of choice, and your “Nintendo”, to be able to have a full grasp on the market. If Nintendo releases a powerful console that third party developers can produce similar content, we as consumers will win.

The PS4 and Xbox One are both running AMD APU’s, which are very extremely common and easily produced on architecture. The Switch will be shipping with an NVIDIA Tegra chip (specific stats and model have yet to be released). This means the three major consoles, and the PC market have the(mostly) the same hardware, which means developers can easily produce a game in parity, and port it over to each platform. The only challenge going forward would be integrating the consoles’ specific quirks. Motion/VR/Move on the PS4. Kinect for Xbox One. Tablet/portability for the Switch.

These hopes and dreams all seem to be doable and could be cresting the horizon. Skyrim Remastered was shown in the Switch launch trailer, and the myriad of third party developers confirmed to be working on titles for the console really have us in high hopes.

This is still all speculations, hopes and dreams. Switchmas is still a few days away, so lets hope Shiggy got our lists and checked them twice.

We’re back! That’s right faithful Geekscapists, we are back with another episode of Monday Music. I sincerely apologize for the lack of postings, as your resident “Resident Advisor” here I feel like I’ve failed you. I’ve not brought the beautiful creation that is music to your eyes and ears. Well, that’s about to change.

I was just shown this dark and spooky EP from the “Detroit Sludge” grandfather himself, Marshall Applewhite. Check out Under A Pale Moon below.

Under A Pale Moon is the latest from Late Night Munchies, the Alaska born/Seattle based record label helmed by House producer Tony H. This EP gave me chills.

A very recent sub-genre to the techno family, Detroit Sludge was co-created by Marshall himself. Featuring slower tempos, dark sub-bass frequencies, and oscillating mids, Sludge gives off an uneasy feeling to listeners. Deem’d the “anti-drug” of EDM, this genre is not for the faint of heart.

The titular track really evokes the feeling of dark, desolate space. The album art and the tune are PERFECT for each other. My personal favorite, Lice, feels different than most of what the genre has to offer. It’s very bubbly, and compliments the overall vibe of Under A Pale Moon. One of my criteria for a strong, long lasting song is its ability to be remixed and still retain the essence of the original piece. Sham is a song that should be remixed, it’s probably the best track on the EP.

You can listen to Under A Pale Moon right now on the Late Night Munchies SoundCloud, and pick up the EP yourself on December 19th.

Every year the Golden Globes come and go, and every year a select few walk away with the fancy awards.

The list of nominee’s have officially been released, and the lineup is quite interesting! This is going to be an exciting award show. I personally hope to see  Deadpool walk away with a couple Globes.

The 75th Golden Globes air January 8th and is hosted by Jimmy Fallon (Editors Note: Can we have a drinking game for all his fake laughter/outbursts?).

Pokemon GO was all about being healthy, now we’re drinking Starbucks!

The last few days have been full of rumors and insider leaks, but the truth come out this morning. Everyones favorite gentrification brand Starbucks is joining forces with Pokemon GO to offer players a brand new drink.

If you frequent the PokemonGO subreddit, then you will be familiar with the recent leaks and rumors spreading around. A few days ago someone leaked internal Starbucks information about the upcoming PokemonGO promotion. Check out the docs below:

Drink appears to just be a cotton candy Frappuccino with berries added.
Drink appears to just be a cotton candy Frappuccino with berries added.

Everything looked very official, but there was still some skepticism involved, but it looks like it all was true!

The promotion begins today at 11 AM PST. 7,800 Starbucks stores nationwide (USA USA USA!) will be transformed into Pokestops emblazoned with the new calorific drink as the image.

No other in-game bonuses will be available, other than new Pokestops. Players are prompted to go into the store and order the drink.

Niantic has not put a lifespan on this promotion, so we don’t know when it will end. If this proves to be a popular event, we can expect to see them teaming up with other brands in the future.

Let us know your thoughts in the comments below!

This years Playstation Experience so far has been a doozy! For Crash Bandicoot fans, this is going to be the most important news they read all year. We have a release date AND trailer for the upcoming Crash Bandicoot remake. Check out the trailer below!

Your favorite marsupial, Crash Bandicoot, is back! He’s enhanced, entranced & ready-to-dance with the N. Sane Trilogy game collection. Now you can experience Crash Bandicoot like never-before in Fur-K. Spin, jump, wump and repeat as you take on the epic challenges and adventures through the three games that started it all, Crash Bandicoot, Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back and Crash Bandicoot: Warped. Relive all your favorite Crash moments in their fully-remastered HD graphical glory and get ready to put some UMPH in your WUMP!

That is some SERIOUS nostalgia right there. The gameplay, the atmosphere and most importantly the SOUND design have all been faithfully recreated in current gen graphics. Check out our gallery of screen shots below:

The best news of all of this are the release date and THE PRICE! Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy ships sometime in 2017 for a shocking $40! You can preorder the game www.crashbandicoot.com.

Let us know in the comments your thoughts? Are you excited to see the original faithfully remastered or would you have made some changes yourself.

Well color me surprised. After a series of unsubstantiated rumours, and a serious argument from yours truly AGAINST those rumours, the truth comes out!

We are getting a new Marvel VS. Capcom game. Check out the trailer for Infinite below!

What rumours have come true you ask? Well it looks like gone are the 3 VS. 3 battles of previous titles. Now we have a 2 VS. 2 system, and most likely will have third “assist” character option available.

It also appears that Marvel is pushing for using IP’s that it has more control over. This one appears to be heavily influenced by the existing Marvel Cinematic Universe. So say bye bye to The X-Men!

Thats pretty much it! The biggest shock was that the damn game was actually announced.

No specific release date has been given, but we are looking for a “2017” release window. It will be launched on PS4, PC and Xbox One.

It looks like Nintendo is finally giving up on the Wii U. Eurogamer reports that the final Wii U will roll off the factory line this Friday.

This news comes on the heels of the announcement of their next console, The Nintendo Switch, that is releasing in March.

This news isn’t really all that surprising, as Nintendo likes to completely move onto their next platform. What IS surprising is how soon the shutdown happened after the Switch announcement.

The numbers tell all. Gamecube reached 21 Million units sold globally, the Wii hit 101 Million, the 3DS topped out at 60.47 Million. Wii U has, as of writing this article, hit a grand total of 13.49 Million units sold globally.

The abysmal sales of the Wii U can easily be attributed to poor marketing, difficult to use and expensive eShip ecosystem and poor hardware parity. It’s apparent Nintendo is NOT going to make the same mistakes with The Switch. Direct marketing and their decision to use a unified hardware platform are evidence enough that they do not want a repeat of the Wii U.

It may be time to snag a bundle or two for you collectors out there.

Its confirmed. Everything we grew up loving is getting remade!

Announced today, Sausage Party Co-Director Conrad Vernon will be taking the helm on a modern recreation of the cult Troma film The Toxic Avenger. Now don’t you worry horror fans, Troma co-founders Lloyd Kaufman and Michael Herz are on board with the project as executive producers. And knowing Lloyd, he isn’t going to let crap slide.

If you aren’t in the know, the original Toxic Avenger tells the story of a New Jersey teenager whose accidental tumble into a vat of toxic waste turns him into a mutant superhero.

No word on when production will start, but you can be sure we will be keeping a close eye on things. Expectthe guys over at Horror Movie Night to have an opinion on things.

2016 has been an awful year. We regret to report that film legend, Gene Wilder has passed away.

The famed actor died in his home late Sunday night due to complications from Alzheimers Disease.

In a statement released to AP Wilder’s nephew, Jordan Walker-Pearlman, said that the actor was diagnosed with the disease three years ago, but kept the diagnosis quiet from fans. “He simply couldn’t bear the idea of one less smile in the world”.

Famously known for his role as Willy Wonka, Wilder’s acting credits have run the gamut. From comical and jovial, to dramatic and serious.

Wilder was a staple actor for Mel Brooks films. The director had tweeted this message:

Our hearts go out to Wilder’s family. You will not be forgotten.

The more we see about HBO’s upcoming series Westworld, the more I cannot wait for it to air. Check out the newest trailer below to see what I mean.

WESTWORLD is a dark odyssey about the dawn of artificial consciousness and the evolution of sin, exploring a world in which every human appetite, no matter how noble or depraved, can be indulged.

Based off the 1973 film of the same name, Westworld takes place in an amusement park of sorts. Attendees can come and indulge in all sorts of fantasies, set in the American Old West.

When the project was first announced, I took it upon myself to wrangle up a copy of the Michael Crichton original. I highly suggest the film to any Sci-Fi fan out there.

HBO’s Westworld airs October 2nd and stars Anthony Hopkins, Ed Harris, Evan Rachel Wood, James Marsden, Thandie Newton, Jeffrey Wright, Sidse Babett Knudsen, Rodrigo Santoro, Shannon Woodward, Ingrid Bolsø Berdal, Ben Barnes, Jimmi Simpson, Clifton Collins, Jr., Simon Quarterman and Angela Sarafyan.

Dark Souls III is hard. It is extremely hard, but you already knew that. It looks like From Software wants to hurt us just a little more, as they’ve just announced an upcoming DLC addition for Dark Souls III. Check out Ashes of Ariandel.

Ashen Ones… Enter this new world covered by snow and defeat the evil that has defiled this land. Grab ahold of the new armor sets, weapons, and magic that are available in Dark Souls™ III: Ashes of Ariandel™ to aid you in discovering the new location. For the veterans of Dark Souls PVP, explore the new features and test your meddle with your fellow players.

The “Souls” series have always been absolutely gorgeous titles, and for some players (like my noob-ass self), are more enjoyable consumed through a lets play rather than ACTUALLY playing them. Seriously, I suck something fierce. This trailer brings the dark gothic beauty to another level. The set pieces, and bosses look terrifying. I cannot wait to pick this up and get my ass beat.

Ashes of Ariandel DLC hits stores October 25th.

This week on Monday Music, we are checking out the video for Dead Heavens single Feel Low.

Dead Heavens are a New York rock band consisting of members with pedigree (Walter Schreifels, Paul Kostabi, Drew Thomas, Nathan Aguilar), and they all bring their unique sounds together.

Originally released back in February, Feel Low is the bands “latest” single. Released on 7″ vinyl, it’s sound reminds me of bands like Black Rebel Motorcycle Club’s retro punk aesthetic. I don’t think there is anyway to explain that without sounding as pretentious as I did.

What brought this song (and band) onto my radar was the music video itself. It was directed by Mega64 co-founder Derrick Acosta. Derrick has directed a few videos over the years from a handful of artists, Mrs. Magician, Keepers and Plateaus just to name a few. All of which evoke his unique approach to film making. You can definitely feel his “touch”.

Dead Heavens Feel Low premiers on Adult Swim this week.

The second trailer for this years Star Wars film, Rogue One, has just hit the internet. And it is FUCKING incredible. I think I am more excited for this than I was Episove VII. Check it out below.

This trailer is incredible. Director Gareth Edwards really knows how to make stuff feel MASSIVE on film. The music, produced by French composer Alexandre Desplat (Godzilla, Syriana, Argo), is OUTSTANDING. I honestly think this is going to do more than Episode VII. It feels more “real”.

Star Wars: Rogue One hits theaters this December 16th and stars  Felicity Jones, Diego Luna, Riz Ahmed, Ben Mendelsohn, Jiang Wen, Donnie Yen, Forest Whitaker, Mads Mikkelsen, Alan Tudyk and Jonathan Aris.

One of the best lunatics in film today, Willem Dafoe has just been cast as the voice to the  crazy and hollowed out Shinigami Ryuk in the English live action adaption of Death Note.

Based on the groundbreakingly popular Manga/Anime series of the same name, the English live action adaptation will be directed by Adam Wingard and stars Nat Wolff, Margaret Qualley, Keith Stanfield, Paul Nakauchi and Shea Whigham. The film will debut on Netflix.

Death Note follows the story of a high school student (Nat Wolff) who finds a magical notebook that has the power to kill whomever is written in it. The book comes into his possession by the Shinigami Ryuk. What follows is a very tense story of murder and intrigue.

There is no official release date yet, but production has started!

I personally think that Dafoe’s casting is perfect for Ryuk. It’s a bummer he’s just providing voice, because frankly he’s the only actor in Hollywood that could pull off the look with no makeup.

I just pray they bring Maximum The Hormone in to provide the theme music!

Spud, Renton, Sick Boy and Begbie are all back in the sequel to the monumental cult classic, Trainspotting. Check out the trailer for T2 below.

We aren’t really getting much from this trailer, other than goosebumps of seeing the original cast back together.

Trainspotting was the 1996, Danny Boyle directed, dark comedy about a group of Heroin addicts getting by in the slummy areas of Edinburgh.

Nothing much to go on plot wise, T2 will be a continuation of the story from the original.

T2; Trainspsotting hits US theaters February 10th, and UK theaters January 27th. The film stars Ewan McGregor, Ewen Bremner, Jonny Lee Miller and Robert Carlyle.

The lead up to the release o Final Fantasy XV has been a doozy (we all just want the friggin game okay?). Little did we know that the accompanying film Kingsglaive: Final Fantasy XV would be so awesome looking. Fresh off the Japanese theatrical release, is the jaw dropping trailer for the English version. Get hyped.

This just goes to show that Square Enix knows how to make gorgeous art. Watching this trailer I got some major nostalgia from when Advent Children released.

Kingsglaive story runs concurrently with the events of Final Fantasy XV, and follows the father of the games lead. The films main characters are from an elite guard known as the Kingsglaive. They are tasked with protecting the kingdom of Lucis from the attacking kingdom of Niflheim.

You can get your eyes on Kingsglaive: Final Fantasy XV in a few ways. It will be coming bundled with certain collectors edition of the game, available on the Playstation Store August 30th and will have a limited theatrical run.

Kingsglaive: Final Fantasy XV stars Aaron Paul, Lena Headey, Sean Bean, Adrian Bouchet, Liam Mulvey and Andrea Tivadar.

When I first saw the trailer for Netflix’s newest original movie I wasn’t too sure about it. It took me three play through’s to fully digest the experience. Don’t write this off just yet, because I am losing it over this trailer.

In a distant dystopian future that is wild and out of control, join Killy on a quest to reclaim a dwindling civilization from the brink of oblivion.

It’s got everything a weaboo would want! Good voice actors. Intense, dark brooding characters. A compelling story and what looks like a mean universe for our characters to live in. The CGI animation is absolutely incredible!

Based off the 1998 manga series of the same name, Blame! looks like it’s going to be an incredible ride.

It follows the journey of a lone human, Killy, as he tries to find access to a genetic marker that allows humans to connect to the Netsphere. A control system that can stop the ever expanding dystopian “City”.

No specific release date has been given, but you can expect it sometime in 2017.

It’s no secret that San Diego Comic Con has, over the years, changed. Turning from small book vendors and toy collectors, to everything pop culture. It’s also the time of year when we get a lot, and I mean A LOT, of new trailers for upcoming films. So when I saw the trailer for Bad Santa 2 I wasn’t really sure if I was at the right convention. Check out the teaser below.

https://youtu.be/JnPT0TRlIVE

I don’t really know if anyone wanted a sequel to this movie, but with how utterly dark and hilarious the first one was I’ve got high hopes.

Bad Santa 2 stars Billy Bob Thorton, Tony Cox, Brett Kelly, Kathy Bates, and Christina Hendricks (my waifu). You can see it in theaters November 23rd.

This is one of the most surprising trailers to come out of Comic Con this year, and it has me super excited.

The classic comic book characters Asterix and Obelix are returning to the big screen in what looks like a great animated adventure. Check out the trailer below.

Being a US citizen, I never had a whole lot of exposure to the ancient duo. I was introduced to the the series via the 2004 Gamecube game Asterix & Obelix: XXL.

The Mansions of The Gods is based off the comic of the same name from 1973, where our titular heroes rebel against Julius Caeser as he tries to take over their village.

The film does not have a US release date yet, but hits theaters in the UK August 19th. It also marks the first foray into 3D for the series.

It stars Jack Whitehall, Nick Frost, Catherine Tate, Matt Berry, Greg Davies, Harry Enfield, Dick and Dom and Jim Broadbent

This year’s SDCC was an incredible exploration. Suicide Squad had an awesome panel in the legendary Hall H, where they debuted a remix of the films trailer set to original songs from the upcoming soundtrack. Coinciding with that new trailer was the release of the audio for, arguably, the best song on the record. Check out Skrillex & Rick Ross – Purple Lamborghini

https://youtu.be/bX9CvhbfQgg

It’s so awesome, and slightly nostalgic, to hear some of Skrillex’s old samples. Hearing “my name is Skrillex!” followed by Rick Ross’s “Maybach music” was weird as hell. Yet, fitting.

This is the perfect combination of Skrillex’s dubstep/festival trap influences with Rick Ross’s hip hop drive. The hook is 100% Sonny Moore. The digitally altered sample of Rick Ross at 1:12 gave me goosebumps. I am super excited to see what kinds of remix’s we will see from this tune.

For the last two years, FX and FOX have taken over the green outside of the San Diego Convention Center. Last year they had a great presence, and they’ve brought it back this year as well, with the art-installation themed FXHibition.

Derek and I were able to tour the entire field before it opened to the public, and now that it’s open, anyone can wander in. No Comic-Con badge required.

If you prefer video over old-school photographs, we hosted a live-stream of the FXHibition on Facebook which you can check out right here:

First up, we visited Paddy’s Pub watering hole, naturally coming from the fantastic sitcom It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia. FX employees man a series of beer taps dispensing not beer, but ice cold water (which felt so, so good during this heat wave)! FX was dishing out the refreshing liquid in some bad-ass collapsible cups. If you’re around, be sure to snag yourself one.

Next up was the awesome FX Lounge. A bunch of nice comfy couches, centered around giant screens of live social media posts from around SDCC 2016. Rest your feet and enjoy the shade.

Just around the corner from that is a giant destroyed guitar from Sex&Drugs&Rock&Roll. Rolling tunes pour out of the display, and every so often billowing smoke comes from the destroyed pick up.

Next up was the FX series chair exhibit. Classic sitting devices re-imagined into FX themed furniture. We had an Archer green olive egg chair. American Horror Story body couch.  The Strain talon hand chair and an Always Sunny green man chair. All awesome to look at, but most of them incredibly uncomfortable to actually spend much time on.

The FXHibition can be found across from the Hilton Bayfront, and is open Friday 10AM – 6PM, Saturday 10AM – 6PM, Sunday 10AM – 4PM.

Today marks the first (unofficial) day of San Diego Comic-Con 2016. Preview night is usually relegated to damaging your liver and scoping out all the sick deals before you try to wait in line for Hall H.

I got to check out the VR Convention, just across the street from the convention center. There were multiple vendors there all showing off their great VR products and innovations. The group that caught my eye the most was Radiant Images.

They’re a manufacturing and rental house out of LA that focuses on 360 cameras. We were able to check out a few of their products.

The one that most of you will be able to check out, is the Mobius POV VR. A head mounted full 360 head shell that captures the wearers entire view.

Mobius POV VR

The device was INCREDIBLY light, and has a brace that runs down the wearers back. Keeping the device very still. The directors/editors can choose how to stitch together the footage, so that you can get the feeling of being on the shoulders of the character. It’s not just going to be the cheesy First Person Shooter footage feeling.

There will be an upcoming scene in Suicide Squad that will feature footage shot on this rig.

The other very compelling camera setup they offer is the Jaunt One, code named Viper (after the probe droids from Star Wars). It features 24 cameras that all output at either 8 or 4K resolution.

Jaunt One VR

The thing that piqued my interest the most about this rig, was its portability. This can be hooked up to a wire mobile rig or even a drone. It can be used for high speed environments, like sporting events.

The last setup we were demoed was the Nokia OZO. A handheld unit that is designed for mimicking the human eye.

Nokia OZO

Each of the OZO’s 8 sensors are 64 millimeters apart. The perfect focal distance to mimic the human eye. The handle of the unit features a 500 GB SSD quick swap drive. So that when one hard drive is full, you can swap them out for an empty one and keep on shooting. These cameras were used to film all the VR and 360 footage at the Euro 2016 football tournament.

Radiant Images is an incredible team of people that really want to push the future of 360 and VR footage. Designing and renting out their own, in house made camera rigs. They have those that fly and they have those that zip across the sand at incredible speed.

Be sure to check out their official website for look at some of their other incredible products.

The upcoming 2017 Power Rangers film is seriously shaping up to be amazing. Everything we’ve seen from it so far has quelled any and all worry us fans have for the reboot.

Today SABAN released five character posters for San Diego Comic Con, and they are totally fucking awesome. Check them out below!

Simple and clean, but they really get the point across. Our beloved heroes from our youth are BACK! And God dammit don’t they all look fucking attractive.

Be sure to keep and eye out here for more #sdcc2016 coverage!

We’re back with another grand and glorious Geekscape Giveaway! This time we’re teaming up with our friends over at Lionsgate to give you a freedom packed movie bundle starring Steven Seagal.

This week on Monday music we go back, BACK to 1988 with Megadeth’s cover of the Sex Pistols hit Anarchy In The UK.

I think now, more than ever before, this song is fitting. Especially after last weeks vote from the UK.

The Megadeth version features changed lyrics to focus on the USA, but obviously maintains the original title. PLUS, you get to hear Dave Mustaines angelic voice belt out some classic lyrics.

So give it a listen while you watch the news! Keep the lyrics in your head when the US has their elections (Racist X Criminal 2016) and when the EU tries to keep the United Kingdom in it’s group.

Seminal artists blink-182 have come back to the studio, and their seventh studio album California is set to hit stores in a few weeks. After a year delay, and departure of Tom Delonge, the bands return is just around the corner.

Today they released their video for the upcoming single Bored to Death. Check it out.

For a group of guys in their 40’s, they still know how to write music for disenfranchised high schoolers. That being said, I find myself toe tapping along with everything from this new album. I cannot wait to pick this up.

California hits stores July 1st.
