Love it or hate it, a contemporary, hyper-stylized take on Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is coming. Principal photography of the Jonathan Liebesman directed, Michael Bay produced picture is currently underway, and the first set photos of Megan Fox as April O’Neil have made their way online.

I don’t know if a single soul expected otherwise, but… she doesn’t really look like April O’Neil. Then again, does she really need to, starring in a reboot and all?

In any case, take a look at the first set photos of Megan Fox as April O’Neil below, and let us know what you think! Head over to TheDailyMail for plenty of other images, including some trampoline-jumping action (if you’re into that kind of thing).

Following the April debut of the film’s trailer, Universal Pictures has released the theatrical poster for their upcoming Action/Comedy/Sci-Fi, R.I.P.D. The movie is an adaptation of Peter Lenkov’s Dark Horse Comic, Rest In Peace Department, and is being touted as a more supernatural Men In Black.

I haven’t read the book myself, but to those of you who have, are you looking forward to the film? How does the movie’s look and feel compare to that of the comic?

In any case, check out the new poster below, and let us know what you think! R.I.P.D. hits theatres on July 19th!

Jeff Bridges and Ryan Reynolds headline the 3D supernatural action-adventure R.I.P.D. as two cops dispatched by the otherworldly Rest In Peace Department to protect and serve the living from an increasingly destructive array of souls who refuse to move peacefully to the other side.

Veteran sheriff Roy Pulsifer (Bridges) has spent his career with the legendary police force known as R.I.P.Dtracking monstrous spirits who are cleverly disguised as ordinary people.  His mission?  To arrest and bring to justice a special brand of criminals trying to escape final judgment by hiding among the unsuspecting on Earth.

Once the wise-cracking Roy is assigned former rising-star detective Nick Walker (Reynolds) as his junior officer, the new partners have to turn grudging respect into top-notch teamwork.  When they uncover a plot that could end life as we know it, two of R.I.P.D.’s finest must miraculously restore the cosmic balance…or watch the tunnel to the afterlife begin sending angry souls the very wrong way.

What a freaking great trailer.

Bethesda today unveiled the announcement trailer for the next instalment in the Wolfenstein franchise, Wolfenstein: The New Order. The game is set to release this holiday season, and will hit PC, Xbox 360, PS3, and next-gen consoles.

I was a huge fan of 2009’s Wolfensteinand with the new title coming from MachineGames, The New Order is definitely something I’ll be keeping my eye on.

Check out the trailer below, and let us know what you think!

Following the bad-ass new teaser poster from a few days back, Universal Pictures has (finally) released the first trailer for Edgar Wright’s upcoming end-of-the-world comedy, fittingly titled The World’s End.

We saw the first trailer for Ender’s Game earlier today, but it’s crystal clear that The World’s End has won the week (well, unless the trailer for Alfonso Caurón’s Gravity really impresses). This trailer is awesome. Don’t take my word for it however, check out the preview below!

The World’s End stars Martin Freeman, Simon Pegg, Nick Frost, Rosamund Pike, David Bradley, and plenty of other awesome blokes. Again, watch the hilarious trailer below, and let us know what you think! The full feature hits North American theatres on August 23rd.

20 years after attempting an epic pub crawl, five childhood friends reunite when one of them becomes hell bent on trying the drinking marathon again. They are convinced to stage an encore by mate Gary King, a 40-year old man trapped at the cigarette end of his teens, who drags his reluctant pals to their home town and once again attempts to reach the fabled pub, The World’s End. As they attempt to reconcile the past and present, they realize the real struggle is for the future, not just theirs but humankind’s. Reaching The World’s End is the least of their worries.

I was insanely disappointed when AMC announced that they wouldn’t be renewing The Killing for a third season. I sat on the edge of my seat for every single frame of the show’s first two years, and when Rosie Larsen’s killer was finally revealed… I couldn’t have been more satisfied (or surprised). I still talk about it frequently, and I’ve lost count of how many individuals I’ve turned on to the show.

Then, in an amazing turn of events, The Killing was resurrected! The third season has been creeping up on us for some time now, and today, with just a few weeks to go until the season premiere, AMC has released an awesome new TV spot.

Things look a lot different this season, and I can’t wait. Watch the new spot below, and let us know what you think! Season 3 of The Killing premieres on June 2nd!

Premiering its 3rd season Sunday, June 2nd at 8/7c on AMC, “The Killing” stars Mireille Enos (World War Z) and Joel Kinnaman (The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo). A year after closing the Rosie Larsen case, Sarah Linden is no longer a detective. But when her ex-partner Stephen Holder’s search for a runaway girl leads him to discover a gruesome string of murders that connects to a previous murder investigation by Linden, she is drawn back into the life she thought she’d left behind.

What choices await us in Telltale’s The Wolf Among Us? If the game turns out anything like last year’s The Walking Dead, we’re in for a damn fine treat.

Announced earlier this year, The Wolf Among Us is Telltale’s adaptation of the popular DC/Vertigo series Fables. The first screenshots for the game have just been released, and they look mighty impressive.

Check out the screenshots below care of GameInformer, and let us know if you’re looking forward to the game! The first episode of The Wolf Among Us is set to release later this year!

Visual effects superstar, pioneer, and inspiration Ray Harryhausen passed away today at 92 years old.

Harryhausen was a purveyor of stop-motion animation, and nigh-singlehandedly kept the art-form alive for nearly 30 years. He won the Academy Award for Best Special Effects in 1949 for his work (along with Willis O’Brien) on Mighty Joe Young. He was also awarded the Gordon E. Sawyer award in 1992 for his contributions to the industry.

Best known for his work on Mighty Joe Young, Clash of the Titans, and the Sinbad series, Harryhausen was a hero to the art of cinema, and will be missed immensely.

Ray+Harryhausen

Look for a full write-up on this one soon. We just wanted to share this sad, important news. Thanks for the memories, Ray.

The most controversial trailer of the year is finally here! Nope, it’s not controversial because of its content, but simply because the source material’s creator is… well, a crazy asshole.

Check out the trailer below, and let us know what you think. Ender’s Game stars Asa Butterfield, Harrison Ford, Ben Kingsley, Abigail Breslin, and plenty of others, and hits theatres on November 1st!

Jonathan shared his thoughts on the film and the Ender’s Game author Orson Scott Card back in February. It’s an amazing listen/watch, and I’d wholeheartedly recommend it!

Following the fantastic TV spot released yesterday, Warner Bros. has just shown off a cool new banner for Man of Steel. It’s an uncomplicated image, simply featuring Supes ascending into the sky, but damn does it look good.

Check out the new banner below, and let us know if you’re looking forward to Man of Steel!

In the pantheon of superheroes, Superman is the most recognized and revered character of all time. Clark Kent/Kal-El (Cavill) is a young twentysomething journalist who feels alienated by powers beyond anyone’s imagination. Transported to Earth years ago from Krypton, an advanced alien planet, Clark struggles with the ultimate question – Why am I here? Shaped by the values of his adoptive parents Martha (Lane) and Jonathan Kent (Costner), Clark soon discovers that having super abilities means making very difficult decisions. But when the world needs stability the most, it comes under attack. Will his abilities be used to maintain peace or ultimately used to divide and conquer? Clark must become the hero known as “Superman,” not only to shine as the world’s last beacon of hope but to protect the ones he loves.

June is going to be a fantastic month. First, we have Man of Steel and Naughty Dog’s The Last of Us releasing on the same day (June 14th). One week later, Pixar’s Monsters University will hit theatres, and just 72 hours after that, Brian K. Vaughan’s TV adaptation of Under The Dome will premiere on CBS.

The series looks great, and I’m immediately invested in anything with Vaughan’s name on it. Previous promos have been insanely effective, and this newly released preview is no different. Check it out below, and let us know what you think!

Will you be watching the show? Were you a fan of the novel? Again, Under The Dome hits CBS on June 24th!

The Walking Dead is back in production at AMC (with the excellent Scott Gimple acting as showrunner). The network has released a cool new behind-the-scenes video showcasing ‘Zombie School’, and the intensive training that the actors are put through in order to effectively portray the undead.

The Walking Dead returns for 16 more episodes this October. Check out the video below, and let us know what you think!

An awesome new behind-the-scenes trailer for Naughty Dog’s The Last of Us has just been released. The video features The Last of Us creative director Neil Druckmann (who also wrote the awesome prequel comic) and director Bruce Straley, and explains the inspiration for the many infected that the game features.

I’ve been thoroughly impressed with every piece of media we’ve seen from the game, and this one is no different. It’s easy to see just how proud and heartfelt the two are when talking about the title, and I cannot wait to experience the fruits of Naughty Dog’s labour.

Watch the new trailer below, and let us know what you think! The Last of Us releases on June 14th.

This very well may be the most epic 30-second spot that I’ve ever seen.

Warner Bros. has just released the third TV spot for Man of Steel, and as expected, it looks awesome. Everything about this preview simply flows together so well that you may find yourself watching it more than once. The quick snippet of the soundtrack that we hear is insanely exciting, and I absolutely can’t wait to hear more!

Watch the new spot below, and let us know what you think! Man of Steel hits theatres on June 14th!

It’s been rumored for as long as I can remember, but now it’s official. Maxis has just announced The Sims 4. The game is set to release on PC and Mac sometime in 2014.

That’s it. Not a single screenshot, trailer, or other tidbit of information was revealed, but more information is expected later today.

Less than two months ago, EA had major issues with the launch of Sim City (and that’s putting it lightly). I’ve always been a fan of The Sims, so I can only hope that things go differently this time around. I really hope we don’t see an always-on DRM system or tons of microtransactions in this one.

Have you been keeping up with The Sims? Will you be looking at The Sims 4, or did Sim City leave too bad a taste in your mouth? We’ll update you with more info as soon as we get it!

The teaser trailer for Edgar Wright’s The World’s End is finally set to release this week, and the film’s official website has just revealed a new teaser poster to celebrate.

Simon Pegg tweeted the poster earlier tonight, and damn am I excited. The trailer premiered earlier this week at the Entertainment Weekly CapeTown Film Festival, and I’ve heard nothing but good things about it.

Check out the new poster below, and let us know what you think! Look for the first trailer for The World’s End in the coming days!

Project C.A.R.S. looks ridiculous.

A new promotional video for the game/simulator has been released, showing off nothing but pre-alpha footage from older builds of the title. Really, it’s hard to believe that a video game can look this realistic. The lighting alone in this trailer is heads and shoulders above anything we’ve seen from a racing game before.

Check out the trailer below, and let us know when you pick your jaw up off the floor. Again, this is pre-alpha footage.

Project C.A.R.S. is set for release on PS3, Xbox 360, Wii U, and PC on November 28.

Sigh…

Star Wars Battlefront III really needs no introduction. I know plenty of gamers that still get that longing look in their eye whenever they hear its title. It was going to rock, it was practically finished, and then… it was cancelled.

Screenshots and video of the unreleased game have been revealed over the years, but never in a capacity like this. Coinciding with yesterday’s Star Wars day, nearly three hours of new Battlefront III footage has found its way online, and as expected, it looks amazing.

First, watch a relatively short video (about six minutes) below. This one is lower resolution, but the quality and scale of the title is crystal clear. Check out just how many players are riding around in those Republic Cruisers.

The next videos aren’t embedable, but are definitely worth a watch as well. Head here for an hour of new footage, and here for ninety minutes more.

I still remember the hours and hours of splitscreen Battlefront and Battlefront II that I put in with my middle-school pals. I wonder, had Battlefront III come out, if we’d still be playing today. You have to feel bad for the folks that spent two years of their lives working on this, only to have it never see the light of day.

The Crow has found its lead, and (surprisingly) it isn’t one of the actors we’ve heard rumoured over the past few months.

Nope, it’s not James McAvoy. It isn’t Tom Hiddleston either. Eric Draven will be played by Luke Evans.

Evans

Evans is is slowly becoming a household name. Currently best know for his roles in The Three Musketeers, Immortals, and The Raven, he also plays the villain in Fast and Furious 6, and will also appear in the anticipated second and third chapters of The Hobbit.

Little else is known about The Crow remake at this point. The film will be directed by F. Javier Gutiérrez and is set to begin production in early 2014. What do you think of this casting choice?

Following the Wonder Woman and Nightmare Batman character profiles released last month, Turbine Entertainment today revealed two new character videos. Today’s release features Gaslight Catwoman and Poison Ivy, and each profile gives us a pretty good idea of what each character’s abilities are.

Turbine, of course, also developed the much loved Lord of the Rings Online, so I’ve got high hopes for this one. Hopefully an OS X version is also in the works! Watch the new videos below, and let us know what you think!

The free-to-play title is set to release later this year, with a closed beta beginning on May 8th? Did you get an invite?

Infinite Crisis is a new entrant into the wildly popular MOBA genre that delivers a heart-pounding competitive player vs. player battle experience set in the legendary DC Multiverse – a world in which familiar DC Comics characters have been reimagined in startling ways.  Featuring a wide variety of DC Comics heroes and villains, Infinite Crisis puts players in control of twisted incarnations of their favorite characters throughout the Multiverse such as Nightmare Batman and Gaslight Catwoman, playing in league with well-known characters including Green Lantern and The Flash.

Injustice is awesome. I was weary about the title for a long time (remember Mortal Kombat Vs. DC Universe?), but after finally getting a chance to play the demo and a few rounds of the full game, it’s safe to say that it’s a wonderful experience. It’s also an experience that is only going to get better with time, as NetherRealm has confirmed that there is plenty of DLC coming.

Last week, Lobo was announced as the first DLC character. NetherRealm revealed today via twitter that Batgirl is next. They released a single image (and she looks pretty damn cool), and her first gameplay trailer is set to drop next week.

Take a look at the image below, and let us know if you’re enjoying the game!

Styled similarly to the awesome teaser poster from late last year, James Mangold today unveiled (via twitter) a new one sheet for The Wolverine, this time focussing on the Silver Samurai.

I loved this style of poster last year, and I love it just the same today. Check out the image below, and let us know what you think! The Wolverine hits theatres on July 26th!

Following the first teaser trailer released late last month, Dark Sky Films has just released a new unrated preview for the upcoming third chapter in the Hatchet franchise. It looks like everything you’d expect from a Hatchet film, and classic slasher fans should find plenty to love with this one.

I’ve never seen Hatchet myself. Is it something I should be checking out? Watch the new trailer for Hatchet III below, and let us know what you think! The film hits theatres and on-demand on June 14th!

HATCHET III continues the tale of the now-iconic villain Victor Crowley (Kane Hodder). As a search and recovery team heads into the haunted swamp to pick up the pieces and carnage left behind from the first two films, Marybeth (Danielle Harris) hunts down the true secret to ending the voodoo curse that has left the ghost of Victor Crowley haunting and terrorizing Honey Island Swamp for decades.

This is insanely impressive, and something that really, really deserves to be seen.

A guy named Brian Anderson just published his first video to YouTube (at least on this channel). It’s an original work that takes the world of Breaking Bad… and combines it with the Traveller’s Tales developed line of LEGO video games. Need I say more?

There are spoilers abound (for seasons 1 through 4), so if you haven’t seen the show (and are planning to), I would hold off on this one. Everyone else, go to town, and let us know what you think!

Amazing, right?

The think I’m a man out of control, but I’ve never had so much control.

Is Watch Dogs on or near the top of your must have list yet? If the phenomenal trailers and previews that we’ve seen so far haven’t overly impressed you, maybe this just released gameplay-trailer will do the trick (it should). This one features Aiden yet again running through the city and being tricky, but also has him explaining just why he’s doing what he’s doing.

You’ll get your chance to take over Chicago on November 19th. Watch Dogs is set for release on PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Wii U, and PC. Watch the new trailer below, and let us know how excited you are!

In Watch_Dogs, players will assume the role of Aiden Pearce, a new type of vigilante who, with the help of his smartphone, will use his ability to hack into Chicago’s central operating system (ctOS) and control almost every element of the city. Aiden will be able to tap into the city’s omnipresent security cameras, download personal information to locate a target, control systems such as traffic lights or public transportation to stop a chase, and more. The city of Chicago is now the ultimate weapon.

The sequel to Metro 2033 is finally just a few weeks away, and publisher Deep Silver today released an awesome new trailer for it.

Embarrassingly enough, I’ve never actually finished Metro 2033. The game has such a terrifying atmosphere that I could only play it in short bursts, and it soon got lost in the shuffle of my daily life. I’ve never had a real opportunity to return to it (or maybe I’m just too afraid).

In any case, I know a ton of fans have been waiting for Metro: Last Light for quite some time. The (surely impressive) game releases on Xbox 360, PS3, and PC on May 14. Watch the new trailer below (not nearly as creepy as the game itself will be I’m sure), and let us know what you think!

Warner Bros. Interactive today released a nice new batch of screenshots for their upcoming, highly anticipated prequel, Batman: Arkham Origins. The shots look fantastic, but fail to really reveal anything that we didn’t already know about the game. In any case, it looks like the title is coming together quite nicely, and it better be, as October is just six months away.

In other news, it looks like Batman may be getting a new set of pipes. Kotaku has learned (via South Africa’s NAG Magazine) that Warner Bros. Montreal has decided to look for younger talent to voice the Dark Knight, as “the game features Batman in his early years.” It makes sense, but it’s still sad news for us fans. The news hasn’t been confirmed by either Conroy or Warner Bros. however, so there’s always the chance that it’s not true (fingers crossed).

Check out the new stills below, and let us know what you think! Batman: Arkham Origins hits shelves on October 25th!

Another day, another new TV spot for Iron Man 3. Most of the spots feature only footage recycled from other previews, but they certainly haven’t wavered my excitement. I can’t wait to get in line for this one.

Check out the new spot below, and let us know what you think! Iron Man 3 hits North American theatres on May 3rd!

Marvel Studios’ “Iron Man 3” pits brash-but-brilliant industrialist Tony Stark/Iron Man against an enemy whose reach knows no bounds. When Stark finds his personal world destroyed at his enemy’s hands, he embarks on a harrowing quest to find those responsible. This journey, at every turn, will test his mettle. With his back against the wall, Stark is left to survive by his own devices, relying on his ingenuity and instincts to protect those closest to him. As he fights his way back, Stark discovers the answer to the question that has secretly haunted him: does the man make the suit or does the suit make the man?

A new Final Fantasy Tactics experience is on its way for iOS and Android users. Square-Enix today launched a website accepting registrations for the new title, called Final Fantasy Tactics S.

The game is set to put a social spin on the Tactics series, though it’s not known just what that means at this point. According to the Final Fantasy Network, the game will feature designs by Ryoma Ito, and races, jobs, and monsters from the 2008 DS title Final Fantasy Tactics A2: Grimoire of the Rift.

Sounds amazing, right? It’s not all good news here. Square-Enix has partnered with mobile publisher Mobage for Tactics S, a company infamous for terrible use of in-app purchases. Now, I’ve got nothing against in-app purchases, but when they’re essential in order to get the most out of a title, I could certainly do without. Just charge me $10 or $15 (for a premium title like this) and be done with it.

Little else is known about the game at this time (including a release date), but we’ll be sure to keep you up to date on this one. If you can read Japanese, head here to preregister.

Summit Entertainment has just released a new theatrical trailer for Red 2, and damn does it look like a fun ride. Much of the cast from the first film returns, including Bruce Willis, Hellen Mirren, John Malkovich, Catherine Zeta-Jones, and plenty of others!

Originally slated for August 2nd, Red 2 was recently pushed up a fortnight to July 19th. It’s a good thing too, I don’t want to wait that long to check this one out.

Watch the new trailer below, and let us know what you think!

In RED 2, the high-octane action-comedy sequel to the worldwide sleeper hit, retired black-ops CIA agent Frank Moses reunites his unlikely team of elite operatives for a global quest to track down a missing portable nuclear device. To succeed, they’ll need to survive an army of relentless assassins, ruthless terrorists and power-crazed government officials, all eager to get their hands on the next-generation weapon. The mission takes Frank and his motley crew to Paris, London and Moscow. Outgunned and outmanned, they have only their cunning wits, their old-school skills, and each other to rely on as they try to save the world-and stay alive in the process.

Sony didn’t show off the physical aspects of their new console at their Playstation 4 announcement event back in February, but they did give us a first look at the next generation of the classic Dualshock controller. It looked funky, but Sony was too busy showing off amazing looking software to really jump into the Dualshock 4’s new buttons and features.

Today, we get better acquainted. Sony has released a new video introducing us to the new controller, and it’s much more exciting than I thought it would be. The Dualshock 4 features a touch-panel, speaker, motion tracking, and more, so check out the video below for all the info.

That’s right folks, it’ll automatically reorient split-screen when somebody moves. That’s some revolutionary shit right there.

Sony’s Playstation 4 will release this holiday season. I can’t wait to get in line.
