After his demise in Marvel’s The Avengers tons of speculation began floating around if we would see the return of fan-favorite Agent Coulson (Clark Gregg) in the future. One of the most popular rumors was that maybe he could return as another fan-favorite character The Vision. Well, one fan over at TheRPF forums has sculpted out his “vision” for us to check out. And by my bad pun I definitely mean he made a sculpt of Clark Gregg as The Vision. There will be no more bad puns in this article I promise you.

So, what do you guys think? Would you like Clark Gregg to return as The Vision or would you prefer Agent Coulson to stay on the R.I.P. list?

So, at first when I heard about the concept for 10 Years, I will admit that I was a tad skeptical. But after seeing this trailer I think this could end up being a really good flick and hopefully they don’t waste the casts comedic talents here. With an impressive cast featuring Channing Tatum, Rosario Dawson, Justin Long, Kate Mara, Chris Pratt, Anthony Mackie, Oscar Isaac, Nick Zano, Aubrey Plaza, Ari Graynor, Ron Livingston and many more…this may just be one to add to your “must see” list.

10 Years is in theaters September 21st.

Yes, you read that correctly! Word on the street is that Todd Phillips wants Goodman for a small but pivotal part in The Hangover Part III. Something similar to the extent of Paul Giamatti’s part in The Hangover Part II. I think Goodman would definitely be a great cast addition for their third time around. And it’s also being said that Phillips has Sean Penn and Robert Downey Jr. on a wish list of actors to make cameos in the threequel.

The Hangover Part III hits theatres May 24, 2013.

The last real update about The Boys hit back in February when Columbia Pictures had chose to abandon the Adam McKay (The Other Guys) planned adaptation of the superhero satire by Garth Ennis and Darick Roberson. The movie was being described as a “100 million, R-rated, anti-superhero movie” back in 2011 when he first signed up for it. Well, it appears there is still hope for this project!

Last night McKay, who is currently working on the sequel to Anchorman, revealed via Twitter that Paramount Pictures picked up the rights to the film and that they are still developing it. McKay soon deleted the tweet but it still remained on the fan who originally commented on the the projects Twitter feed.

Debuting in 2006 from DC Comics WildStorm imprint, The Boys centers on a super-powered CIA squad tasked with keeping a watch on superheroes, eliminating them if necessary. The title moved in 2007 to Dynamite Entertainment, where it still continues to be published. In August 2008 Columbia had acquired the rights to the film and hired Clash Of The Titans writers Matt Manfredi and Phil Hay, as well as Seth Rogen, to work on the screenplay. It may be some time before we see The Boys hit the screen but you should know to never count out Billy Butcher and the gang!

Fox’s The Wolverine is currently filming in Australia and recently, a Facebook page for the movie popped up. The James Mangold directed movie will be based off of Frank Miller’s Japanese saga and once again see Hugh Jackman back on the screen as Logan. While not too revealing a plot synopsis is featured on the Facebook page for the film

Based on the celebrated comic book arc, THE WOLVERINE finds Logan, the eternal warrior and outsider, in Japan. There, samurai steel will clash with adamantium claw as Logan confronts a mysterious figure from his past in an epic battle that will leave him forever changed.

Check out official Facebook page here.

The page also confirms that Svetlana Khodchenkova, who had been rumored already after Jessica Biel dropped out, will be playing Viper in the film.

The Wolverine will hit theaters July 26th, 2013.

So, besides the line-up and the release date there isn’t too much known so far about the upcoming “space epic” that is Marvel’s Guardians Of The Galaxy. But it appears that a summary of the movie’s plot has made its way online. It’s On The Grid is reporting that the film will be about:

“A U.S. pilot who ends up in space in the middle of a universal conflict and goes on the run with futuristic ex-cons who have something everyone wants.”

So, with a pretty legit site like It’s On the Grind reporting this it could just be true. Of course we will have to wait until we get some confirmation from Marvel on it. The U.S. pilot could be referring to Peter Quill aka Star-Lord or possible even Vance Astro aka Major Victory if they’re including him in the film as well. Personally I am leaning towards it being Star-Lord being that he’s already been announced and I don’t think Marvel will be cramming the team with TOO many characters. But like I said…we will just have to wait and see on this one.

Take a look at John Cassaday’s design sketches for three of the mutants who will be joining the Uncanny Avengers line-up as part of the Marvel NOW relaunch. Also featuring commentary on each one by Marvel’s Senior Vice President of Publishing Tom Brevoort.

In essence, Rick and I wanted to go back to something approximating his original cool Neal Adams design—the black highlight-less bodysuit with the concentric circle power effect. That was always his most distinctive look in my opinion, and nothing he’s worn since that has really been all that memorable. So John took his cues from that design, tweaked it a little bit, pulled that strange antennae-thing he had on his head down onto his cowl, and off we went. I seem to recall that John initially had him with a full belt, and I had to talk him into compromising with the sort of side belt things. I’d say it’s more moving back towards the way Neal Adams originally depicted his powers working visually back in the day, only maybe modernized a little bit. So yeah, no glowy “Tron” lines necessarily, but a while lot of concentric circles.

In terms of Rogue’s look, I think everybody involved really liked her original Michael Golden outfit, the one with the hood—so this represents a modernization of that approach to the character. As you say, it’s really not all that different from the kinds of things she’s been wearing recently. A little bit less scarf, maybe.

The Scarlet Witch has always had one of the least practical costumes for a super hero, so having come out the other side of “AvX” and “Children’s Crusade,” that was something we were looking to address. I didn’t really have anything specific in mind other than, “More practical” and “Keep the tiara…” That Tiara is the most easily identifiable aspect of any Scarlet Witch outfit. It was John who came back with the more covered-up civilian style, which we liked and made sense. Wanda is in a different place right now, she doesn’t feel like a super hero any more and she’s looking for a way to atone for her past actions and to move forward as a person, so this look underlines that change in her outlook.

On whether or not we may see team costumes:

The team may still get team costumes. It was one of the ideas that Rick tossed out initially, and it may still be something we do down the line once they’re established as a team. But with that being the new thing in super hero teams, it does start to become a bit ridiculous… Wolverine stopping off in a phone booth on his way to this meeting or that meeting in order to change his clothes. Doesn’t seem like the sort of thing he’d worry at all about, really.

Earlier today Universal Pictures announced that KICK-ASS 2, the sequel to the 2010 superhero comedy, will be hitting theaters on June 28, 2013!

In addition to this, Deadline reports that two more actors have joined writer/director Jeff Wadlow’s film. The two actors being Morris Chestnut (American Horror Story) and Robert Emms (War Horse). Chestnut will play Hit-Girl’s stepfather Marcus Williams, replacing Omari Hardwick from the first film. Robert Emms has landed the role of Insect-Man, a police officer turned member of the superhero team Justice Forever.

Production is set to begin next month on the film, which will adapt both Millar and Romita’s Kick-Ass 2 and the Hit-Girl spinoff. It will be produced by Matthew Vaughn, who is unable to direct because of his commitment to X-Men: Days Of Future Past.

With all the new cast members that have been announced these few past few weeks this movie definitely has potential to be one hell of a fun movie.

You read it right. Sorry fans of Avengers Academy but this November school is out indefinitely. And it seems for now that Marvel is being a bit tight-lipped about just what’s going on with the characters after the final issue. Christos Cage replied to fans on Twitter with the following:

“The characters will still be around, in other hands. Can’t say much more.”

So, this could mean the title may be getting relaunched like many titles with the Marvel NOW! initiative or the characters may be appearing in other titles. I’m sure we will be hearing more over the next few months.

So, it was about a month ago at good ol’ San Diego Comic-Con that we first learned that Deadpool was getting his very own video game brought to us by High Moon Studios. But since then it’s been pretty quiet and we haven’t heard too much about it. Welp, it appears some screen shots and concept art was shown at this years GamesCom as well as a fact sheet written by the merc with a mouth himself. Check them out!

I, DEADPOOL, am here to tell you about all the awesomeness that is my new video game! That’s right – I’ve taken over High Moon Studios in order to develop the world’s first-ever video game dedicated to yours truly, ME – DEADPOOL! You may know me as the “Merc with a Mouth,” which means there will be plenty of ME talking to YOU in the game, along with ALL of my favorite things: katanas, big guns (and not just these amazing arm muscles – check!), hot chicks, cameos from some of my X-MEN friends (ooh, spandex!), chimichangas, bouncy houses, and of course…ME!!!

Joe Carnahan sat down and talked to The Radio Dan Show about his plans for a Daredevil movie that was supposed to happen until Fox pulled the cord. We also find out why he wanted to make the movie a period piece rather than set it in the present. Collider has hooked us up with a transcription on what was discussed.

On why there wasn’t enough time to bring his version to the screen:

I was brought in pretty late in the game, and my take probably didn’t help matters since they had an existing script. But I just thought that if you were going to do it, this was the way to go. This is the way that intrigued me…It was initially something I passed on because Christopher Nolan had done such a lovely job with Batman and unless you’re going to go after that trilogy, then that’s how you have to think. You can’t out-hurdle that, then what’s the point of trying? So it set the bar extraordinarily high, and I thought ‘Well, if we’re going to do this, let’s have a discussion about Hell’s Kitchen, and how it was really Hell’s Kitchen in the 70s,” so that got me really excited. But as I mentioned, the clock ticking and this kind of October drop-dead date, it wasn’t tenable. And having gone down this road in the past when you’re trying to write something and shoot it at the same time is disastrous, and I think you’d need an adequate amount of time to put that script together in the right way. My brother [Matthew Michael Carnahan (The Kingdom)] was interested in writing it with me, so we’ll see.

On why he thought a period piece for Daredevil would have been a good choice:

As I’m finishing my kind of reimagining of Death Wish, I think the 70s is figuring into my conscious and subconscious mind right now. I think it was the last time music and movies were just tremendous. We just cranked out some great stuff. I think that’s why the sizzle reel is able to be kind of abstract because people have such great fondness in their hearts for that decade, particularly the early part of that decade. I’m excited; you know the idea of having Daredevil on top of a building somewhere with the Serpico marquee in the background was enough, that image was enough, for me to want to make the movie.

Many fans weren’t too fond of the idea of another Daredevil film being brought to us by Fox until they found out about Carnahan’s attachment to the project. And after his sizzle reels were shown to us last night, giving us an idea on what the project would have been like, some of us are actually let down that it isn’t happening. Now, the big questions is…what will Marvel do with the man without fear?

Last night Joseph Gordon-Levitt appeared on Jimmy Kimmel’s talk show and the actor discussed the ending of The Dark Knight Rises. This included him discussing if he has any interest in returning for a sequel…if that somehow ever happened. If you haven’t seen the movie by now you probably shouldn’t be reading this or watching the video below. Just saying.

With news breaking that Fox is going to let Daredevil’s rights revert back to Marvel director Joe Carnahan has decided to let us check out the sizzle reels that he used to present his vision to the studio of what his film would’ve been like. The reels are comprised of  footage from other movies and some comics art, and man does it look like we may have actually been getting an awesome Daredevil movie. Watching these kinds of makes me sad that Fox is letting go of the rights.

But yesterday he tweeted a little tease of what he has in store.

You read that one right. Not only do you get the see the movie in theaters but you get to see it in IMAX! An official announcement hasn’t been issued by Paramount yet, but that the movie is popping up on various ticketing and theater websites as an attraction opening on Sept 7th. In a follow up to yesterday’s piece it’s appearing that Fox is just giving up on the Daredevil reboot and allowing the rights to revert back to Marvel. This project has been in the works for awhile now but just kept hitting road bump after road bump. Following his tweets yesterday director Joe Carnahan (The Grey) clarified a bit on what his tweets meant today.

Guys. To clarify. DD pitch was tremendous and everyone flipped for it. The clock ticked down at Fox, that’s why it went tits up.

I will post the piece we did since it should be seen be all now…then you guys decide.

With less than two months before they had to get a movie into production before losing the rights it was pretty apparent that this would end up happening. However, I was quite interested in seeing what Carnahan had in mind after reading about it. It actually sounded like it would be a good movie. Well, he could always pitch the idea to Marvel and see if they want to go with it and give him a chance. However, the problem with that right there is that Marvel has a pretty big stable of characters and films planned already meaning that it doesn’t necessarily mean that we will see the man without fear on the big screen anytime soon.

Arnold Schwarzenegger is back! Well, again kinda. Arnold is joining Forest Whitaker, Johnny Knoxville, Jaimie Alexander, Luis Guzman, Peter Stormare and Genesis Rodriguez in Lionsgate’s The Last Stand. The film is directed by the acclaimed South Korean filmmaker Kim Jee-woon (I Saw The Devil) and thanks to IGN we have the first poster for it!

“After leaving his LAPD narcotics post following a bungled operation that left him wracked with remorse and regret, Sheriff Ray Owens (Schwarzenegger) moved out of Los Angeles and settled into a life fighting what little crime takes place in sleepy border town Sommerton Junction. But that peaceful existence is shattered when Gabriel Cortez (Eduardo Noriega), the most notorious, wanted drug kingpin in the western hemisphere, makes a deadly yet spectacular escape from an FBI prisoner convoy.

With the help of a fierce band of lawless mercenaries led by the icy Burrell (Peter Stormare), Cortez begins racing towards the US-Mexico border at 250 mph in a specially-outfitted Corvette ZR1 with a hostage in tow.  Cortez’ path: straight through Summerton Junction, where the whole of the U.S. law enforcement, including Agent John Bannister (Forest Whitaker) will have their final opportunity to intercept him before the violent fugitive slips across the border forever. At first reluctant to become involved, and then counted out because of the perceived ineptitude of his small town force, Owens ultimately rallies his team and takes the matter into his own hands, setting the stage for a classic showdown.”

The Last Stand is in theaters January 18, 2013!

When Matt Fraction launched The Mighty Thor and Kieron Gillen took over on Thor they changed the title to Journey Into Mystery. We saw the series with Kid-Loki as the lead character go on to receive praise. So, what’s coming up next may receive some mixed reactions to say the least.  With the upcoming Marvel NOW! initiative, as of issue #646 Kathryn Immonen and Valerio Schiti will be taking over with a new lead character in the form of Sif replacing Kid Loki.

Editor Lauren Sankovich on the change in the lead character:

“We had it Loki-centric…going forward with #646 we wanted to mix it up a little bit,” Sankovich said, adding, “Sif’s been in the thick of it, she’s a warrior born, she’s got a lot of fight and verve and fire to her!”

Kathryn Immonen went on to say this about the title:

“We talked at length as far as what her story could be, and it came down to a single question: What does she want? For Sif, what she wants above all is to be a better warrior. How far would she go for that? She makes some terrible decisions and puts a lot of people in peril. One of the really interesting things about Sif to me is that she’s defined by absence, with her lover, Thor, and brother, Heimdall, always away from her. I see a similarity between Sif and Loki because neither of them can ever be Thor. I think that has more effect on her then she’ll admit. She’s been told she’s capable of anything, but at the end of the day, she will never be Thor. “

The movie Seven Psychopaths has got a new trailer and it looks crazy funny. But, with a cast that includes Christopher Walken, Colin Ferrell, Woody Harrelson, Sam Rockwell and Tom Waits…how could it not be?

From Oscar-winning writer and director Martin McDonagh comes a star-studded, blood-drenched, black comedy. Marty (Colin Farrell) is a struggling writer who dreams of finishing his screenplay Seven Psychopaths. All he needs is a little focus and inspiration.

Billy (Sam Rockwell) is Marty’s best friend, an unemployed actor and part time dog thief, who wants to help Marty by any means necessary.

Hans (Christopher Walken) is Billy’s partner in crime. A religious man with a violent past. Charlie is the psychopathetic gangster whose beloved dog, Billy and Hans have just stolen. Charlie’s unpredictable, extremely violent and wouldn’t think twice about killing anyone or anything associated with the theft. Marty is going to get all the focus and inspiration he needs, just as long as he lives to tell the tale.

Seven Psychopaths hits theaters November 2, 2012.

Remember that guy who directed The Avengers? Well, he has a message for all of you guys out there.

So, basically Joss does(n’t) want you to see this movie that was written, directed and starring comic Mike Birbiglia. Sleepwalk With Me is based on Birbiglia’s own life experiences and his one-man show, book and album of the same name. And just like the character in the film, Birbiglia suffers from REM behavior disorder, which makes him prone to active bouts of sleepwalking. One such case that almost endangered his life. And we want you to check out the trailer for it below.

Sorry Joss but we may just have to check this one out! Sleepwalk With Me will be released in select theaters on Aug. 24th.

PS: If you didn’t get it. It was a joke. He wants you to go see the movie. So do it!

[via Bleeding Cool]

Well, for now we are going to file this one in the rumor department. But it couldn’t be entirely unlikely due to the fact that the show was originally shopped as a movie before it became a television show. One of the folks over at Bloody Disgusting posted this:

With that said, I have some friends working closely with “The Walking Dead” crew and AMC who confirm with me rumblings of a feature film. But before you get your panties in a bunch, we’re only in the third season of the popular zombie show – adapted from Robert Kirkman’s astounding comic book – and when I say rumblings, I strongly suggest the idea has been passed off in non-business conversations. The show was originally shopped as a feature film before it went network, so the idea of ending the series with an hour and a half feature would be exciting. But as I stated before, “24,” “Lost” and “The Sopranos” had been rumored for years, and they all failed to make the jump.

So, pretty much its been talked about but the thing is we wouldn’t see anything for a few years. I’m pretty sure The Walking Dead has a few seasons left in it and AMC is going to take full advantage of that.

One game to rule them all! We’ve got a brand new trailer for Lego: The Lord Of The Rings for you guys to check out and does it look fun. If you’ve never played any of the Lego games by now you should because they’re honestly some of the most enjoyable games out there.

Trusted with the dangerous task to destroy an ancient magical ring that threatens all that is good, Frodo is forced to leave his peaceful home. But the ring wants to be found and the road to Mount Doom, the only place where it can be destroyed, will be perilous and riddled with Orcs and fouler things. To help Frodo, a Fellowship is formed —Aragorn the Ranger, Gandalf the Wizard, Legolas the Elf, Gimli the Dwarf, Boromir a Man of Gondor, and Frodo’s Hobbit friends Sam, Merry and Pippin. Players relive the legend through the LEGO minifigures, as they explore wonders, solve timeless riddles, and overcome endless foes in their quest to destroy the Ring.

LEGO The Lord of the Rings is being developed by TT Games and will be published by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment.

No release date has been announced…yet.

Sometime around March director Rian Johnson had announced that they were planning a viral campaign for the upcoming Looper. Well, it’s started guys and they’re inviting YOU to be a looper. All you have to do is head over to Looper Network and sign up but there’s a catch. There’s always a catch right?

There’s a stipulation in every Looper’s contract that he may someday be required to hunt down his future self, thus closing the contract, getting a huge pay-off and erasing any trace of the very illegal arrangement with his or her future employer.  This is called Closing Your Loop.  Cash out, get paid.  Live those 30 years like only a Looper can.

Well, this also reveals a little bit more about just what is happening in the movie. You guys better hurry up and sign up now because the first mission is scheduled to go down August 22nd! But you can pick up your gear now.

And a few of the propaganda images from the site:

Looper is in theaters September 28th.

So, you can never get enough Jean-Claude Van Damme movies right? Well, we are getting another Universal Solider later this year and this time around they’re throwing Scott Adkins in the mix. I really like Adkins and think he’s just waiting for his break out moment. Hopefully his role in The Expendables 2 will be that.

The film follows surviving Unisols Luc Deveraux (Jean-Claude Van Damme) and Andrew Scott (Dolph Lundgren) who must battle anarchy and build a new order ruled by Unisols without government oversight. They are weeding out the weak and constantly testing their strongest warriors in brutal, life-and-death combat. Luc has emerged operating the Unisol Church of Eventualism, a self-help organization that takes in wayward Unisols whom the government has been secretly operating as remote-controlled sleeper agents. His mission is to liberate these Unisols from the implanted memories and the lies the government has inserted in them.

Universal Soldier: Day Of Reckoning is set to hit theaters on November 30th.
