Well, it appears the muscles from Brussels has his eyes set on a new role. The actor and Belgian martial artist wrote on Facebook earlier today:

“It was my pleasure to meet Mr. Stan Lee back in 1994, along with Mr. Samuel & Mr. Victor Hadida! I read that Chris Hemsworth (star of “Thor” and brother of Liam Hemsworth, “The Expendables 2”) would like me to costar in “The Avengers 2” movie!

Well, it would be fun to play one of these types of amazing comic book characters again. By the way, I am a big fan of Marvel’s superhero Silver Surfer and also another heroic fictional character known as Doc Savage – the Man of Bronze!”

Now, while we don’t know how the actor would fit in with the film…we wouldn’t be entirely against it. So, what do you say Joss?

The Avengers sequel is set to hit theaters May 1, 2015

A new red-band trailer has been released for writer/director John Hyams’ Universal Soldier: Day Of Reckoning. So, I’m not just saying this because I am a huge fan of Scott Adkins and Jean-Claude Van Damme…but this movie looks brutally insane and some of us here at Geekscape definitely can’t wait to see it. The last Universal Soldier was tons of action-packed fun and I have high hopes for this one as well.

Jean-Claude Van Damme, Scott Adkins, Andrei “The Pit Bull” Arlovski and Dolph Lundgren star in UNIVERSAL SOLDIER: DAY OF RECKONING, which ups the ante in the UNIVERSAL SOLDIER series, giving you more hard-hitting, bloody, no-holds-barred fighting action. John (Adkins, The Expendables 2) wakes up from a coma after his wife and daughter were slaughtered in a brutal home invasion. Haunted by images of the attack, he vows to kill the man responsible, Luc Deveraux (Van Damme). While John tries to piece his reality back together, things get more complicated when he is pursued by a relentless UniSol (Arlovski). As John gets closer to Deveraux and the rouge army of genetically enhanced warriors led by back-from-the-dead leader Andrew Scott (Lundgren), John discovers more about himself and begins to call into question everything he believed to be true.

Universal Soldier: Day Of Reckoning is available On Demand starting October 25th with a theatrical release on November 30th!

Yesterday we showed you the official poster for the upcoming Universal Soldier sequel. Magnet Releasing today released a trailer to go along with it!

Universal Soldier: Day of Reckoning sees Jean-Claude Van Damme and Dolph Lundgren back in their classic series roles. Check out the trailer below and let us know what you think! If The Expendibles 2 showed us anything, it’s that JCVD can still move!

Day of Reckoning hits theatres on November 30th, and VOD October 25th.

Magnet Releasing has just revealed the official poster for Universal Soldier: Day of Reckoning via their official FaceBook page.

The new soldier title features series veterans Jean-Claude Van Damme and Dolph Lundgren reprising their roles as Luc Deveraux and Andrew Scott. The Plot synopsis is as follows:

John (Adkins, The Expendables 2) wakes up from a coma to discover his wife and daughter were slaughtered in a brutal home invasion.

Looking forward to this one? I’m sure Jon is!

Universal Soldier: Day of Reckoning hits theatres on November 30 and on demand October 25 (I love that Magnet does this). Check out the trailer here.

So, you can never get enough Jean-Claude Van Damme movies right? Well, we are getting another Universal Solider later this year and this time around they’re throwing Scott Adkins in the mix. I really like Adkins and think he’s just waiting for his break out moment. Hopefully his role in The Expendables 2 will be that.

The film follows surviving Unisols Luc Deveraux (Jean-Claude Van Damme) and Andrew Scott (Dolph Lundgren) who must battle anarchy and build a new order ruled by Unisols without government oversight. They are weeding out the weak and constantly testing their strongest warriors in brutal, life-and-death combat. Luc has emerged operating the Unisol Church of Eventualism, a self-help organization that takes in wayward Unisols whom the government has been secretly operating as remote-controlled sleeper agents. His mission is to liberate these Unisols from the implanted memories and the lies the government has inserted in them.

Universal Soldier: Day Of Reckoning is set to hit theaters on November 30th.

Let’s keep it real. You can NEVER have enough Jean-Claude Van Damme movies. Especially not ones where you get JCVD playing not only one of the the lead roles but two. Double Impact is definitely one of Jean-Claude’s best films and it looks like we may just get a sequel. When talking to Next Movie the actor revealed that a script for a sequel has been written.

“I wrote the script with a friend of mine Sheldon – He [co-wrote] “Bloodsport” and “Double Impact” with me,” he told us. “Hopefully, somebody smart enough, like an agent or a producer, can put that back together…I’m excited about it, you know?”

JCVD also expressed the lack of having any franchises in his career.

“I have no franchise. I lost ‘Bloodsport,’ ‘Lionheart. Double Impact’ [would be] a great franchise. Today, Chad would be like the guy in ‘JCVD’ and Alex would be the guy like ‘The Expendables.'”

“I came up with a great story set in Los Angeles. [Chad] is a producer, making pictures with a big house behind him. Alex is gonna go on vacation and has some problems with the Triads. Why?  Because Chad went to Hong Kong and to get some loan money using [Alex’s] face, all of that bulls**t. And Alex comes [to Los Angeles] to see Chad and he’s full of s**t, has a girl pregnant, and she’s the sister of the big boss from South Central. It’s like ‘Double Impact’ in Los Angeles.”

I mean he does have the Universal Solider franchise but we really don’t need another one of those. I am on board for this one though. Let us feel the impact once again damn it! More black silk underwear!

If I know one thing, it’s that the U.S. of A. is in love with two things: pro wrestling and NASCAR!

And hallelujah, brother, because this brand new official trailer for The Expendables 2 has healthy doses of bad ass dudes beating each other up and kick ass machines making a serious mess… oh, and tons of explosions!

I honestly think that this is going to be a hilariously fun time. Will it win any awards? Yeah. From bad ass tough guys. Who else matters? This trailer has it all. Arnold. Willis. Stallone. Lundgren. Norris. Cruz. Statham. Jet Li. And the Geekscape founding father himself: Jean Claude Van Damme!

Bring it on already!

Last night, Dolph Lundgren posted some new Expendables 2 posters to his Facebook fan page (and you know I’m a member of that group). I hadn’t seen these anywhere, except for the Stallone and Arnold shots, so I thought I’d make up a gallery and share with you these bad ass character posters for each actor who’s part of the most kick ass action ensemble this summer!

What, you thought it was The Avengers?!? The Avengers don’t have JCVD! That enough puts The Expendables over the top! Now check these out!

Did you love The Expendables but were still royally pissed that it didn’t have Christian Slater and Peter Weller in it? Well get ready to poop your pants, change those pants, and then poop them again.
