There’s just one more week to wait until Man of Steel finally hits theatres, and today (via Nokia), Warner Bros. released yet another new trailer for the film.

If you can stop watching trailers for the film, I’d implore you to. This preview features plenty of new footage, and it’s simply getting to the point where we’ve seen too much. The movie looks incredible, and I can’t wait to get in line for it, but I don’t have the willpower to not watch every piece of marketing!

Check out the trailer below (if you dare), and let us know what you think! Man of Steel hits theatres on June 14th!

In the pantheon of superheroes, Superman is the most recognized and revered character of all time. Clark Kent/Kal-El (Henry Cavill) is a young twenty-something journalist who feels alienated by powers beyond his imagination. Transported years ago to Earth from Krypton, a highly advanced, distant planet, Clark struggles with the ultimate question ‘Why am I here?’ Shaped by the values of his adoptive parents Martha (Diane Lane) and Jonathan Kent (Kevin Costner), Clark discovers having extraordinary abilities means making difficult decisions. When the world is in dire need of stability, an even greater threat emerges. Clark must become a Man of Steel, to protect the people he loves and shine as the world’s beacon of hope – Superman.

We knew it was coming to PS3 (and PS4), but Diablo III has just been announced for Xbox 360 too!

That means that come September 3rd, you really don’t have an excuse to not be playing the game (unless you’re a Wii U owner… or just don’t like Diablo). The console port will offer everything that it’s year-old PC/Mac counterpart does, and preordering the title will net you an exclusive ‘Infernal Helm’, which is wearable by all characters, and will give you a sweet EXP boost while it’s equipped.

Watch the trailer for the console edition of Diablo III below, and let us know if you’ll be picking it up!

Following the first trailer for the film, Universal Pictures has debuted a new banner for their upcoming action-comedy R.I.P.D.

Based on the Dark Horse comic, R.I.P.D. follows two cops dispatched by the otherworldly Rest In Peace Department to protect and serve the living from an increasingly destructive array of souls who refuse to move peacefully to the other side. The film stars Ryan Reynolds, Jeff Bridges, Kevin Bacon, Mary-Louise Parker, and it definitely gives off a Men In Black vibe.

Take a look at the new banner below, and let us know what you think! R.I.P.D. hits theatres on July 19th!

I’m fairly sure that Insidious was created without the thought of a sequel ever even being possible. First, the end of the first film wrapped things up rather nicely (well, not nicely, but there was definitely closure), and second, the film was made for just 1.5 million dollars, and was not expected to make even close to the numbers that it did.

But alas, Insidious reached blockbuster levels, and a sequel was greenlit. I was (and remain) excited to hear the news, as I thought that at least 2/3 of the first film were phenomenal, and I really wanted that world to be further explored. FilmDistrict has just released the first trailer for Insidious: Chapter 2, and the movie really just looks like more of what the first had to offer… which is exactly what I’m looking for.

Watch the trailer below, and let us know what you think! Insidious: Chapter 2 hits theatres on September 13! No word yet on if the red-faced demon will return.

We’re now just six months away from the wildly anticipated release of The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug, and New Line Cinema has just given us our first look at Evangeline Lilly in the film.

The Lost actor portrays the Elven warrior Tauriel, who is a character created solely for the film adaptation in order to offset the predominantly male cast. Tauriel is the head of the Elven Guard, and is “slightly reckless and totally ruthless and doesn’t hesitate to kill”, according to Lilly. Sounds good to me.

Take a gander at Tauriel below, and let us know what you think! Are you Tolkien purists okay with the addition? The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug hits theatres on December 13th!

This is going to be a fantastic month. Between Naughty Dog’s The Last of UsMan of SteelDexter, The Killing, and of course Under the Dome, I have no idea where I’m going to find the time to get anything done… and I couldn’t be more excited.

Brian K. Vaughan’s adaptation of Stephen King’s Under the Dome premieres in just a few weeks, and CBS has released a cool batch of images to excite you for it. The images are a mixture of stills from the pilot episode and production photos, and while they reveal little about the series, they still look damn fine.

Take a look at the images below, and let us know if you’re excited for the series! A full-length trailer was released a few weeks back, and should serve to further excite you if you haven’t seen it. Under the Dome premieres on June 24th.

How has this project not been made yet?

Bill Willingham’s Fables first launched in 2002 and has been a worldwide hit ever since. The series offers an original, adult take on the world of fairy tales, and is certainly worth checking out if you haven’t already. Here’s a synopsis for those who are unfamiliar:

When a savage creature known only as the Adversary conquered the fabled lands of legends and fairy tales, all of the infamous inhabitants of folklore were forced into exile. Disguised among the normal citizens of modern-day New York, these magical characters have created their own peaceful and secret society within an exclusive luxury apartment building called Fabletown. But when Snow White’s party-girl sister, Rose Red, is apparently murdered, it is up to Fabletown’s sheriff, a reformed and pardoned Big Bad Wolf, to determine if the killer is Bluebeard, Rose’s ex-lover and notorious wife killer, or Jack, her current live-in boyfriend and former beanstalk-climber.

Heydey Films is set to produce a, well, film adaptation of Fables. A Danish Affair director Nikolaj Arcel will direct the picture, with a script coming from Jeremy Slater (who is also working on the Fantastic Four reboot). No other information has been revealed about the project, but we’ll be sure to keep you updated.

This of course, isn’t the first time that Fables has attempted to jump mediums. Warner Bros. was working on the project in 2004, and ABC tried to adapt it for television in 2008. Obviously, neither of those projects came to be (though I hear that ABC’s Once Upon A Time is doing pretty well, and offers some astounding similarities).

What do you think of the news? With names already attached, it certainly seems like the project will actually come to be this time around. Are you still enjoying Fables all these years later? Sound out below!

This sounds like an intriguing, clever project, with some fantastic names already attached.

Breaking Bad‘s Saul Goodman himself, Bob Odenkirk, has penned what sounds like a hilarious, touching film titled Girlfriend’s Day:

In a city where greeting card writers are celebrated like stars, romance writer Ray (Odenkirk) used to be the king. In trying to recapture the feelings that once made him the greatest, he gets entangled in a web of murder and deceit as writers vie to create the perfect card for a new holiday: Girlfriend’s Day.

It sounds ridiculously original, and it gets even better. Michael Paul Stephenson, director of fan (and Geekscape) favourites Best Worst Movie and The American Scream will helm the feature. This marks Stephenson’s narrative cinema debut, and after the wonderful work he’s done with his documentary projects, we couldn’t be more excited. Neither could anyone attached to the project by the sounds of it; Odenkirk states:

“Girlfriend’s Day is an offbeat comedy, but the characters are full of heart, searching for love and connection. Michael’s documentaries feature the same kind of likable offbeat characters, and I can’t wait to make this film”

Stephenson sounds equally delighted, and had this to say about the announcement:

“After reading Girlfriend’s Day, it felt like a discovery. Long before Girlfriend’s Day even came into the picture, I had Bob’s name down on a list of actors I’d hope to work with one day. I’ve been a fan of Bob’s for a long time, and feel that his dramatic sensibilities as an actor have been largely untapped. Girlfriend’s Day is rooted in themes that I believe in, and I’m honored to collaborate with Bob in telling a story that’s close to his heart.”

We can’t wait. Girlfriend’s Day is set to shoot this fall. We’ll update you as we learn more!

We’re just 11 days away from the highly anticipated release of Naughty Dog’s The Last of Us, and the first footage from the game’s multiplayer mode has just found its way online.

The video comes from Polish gaming site BossBattleComing, and therefore is a little tough to understand, but you can at least get a good sense of what the standard ‘Deathmatch’ mode will look and feel like. The game will have plenty of other multiplayer modes, possibly including a rumoured large-map, open world, awesome sounding survival option. Sounds good to me.

Regardless of multiplayer, I’m dying to jump into the world of The Last of Us. The game releases on June 14th, and will certainly be a contender for Game of the Year. Watch the Deathmatch footage below, and let us know if you’re excited!

It’s been a big week for James Gunn’s Guardians of the Galaxy. Last Wednesday, Glenn Close joined the project as the head of the Nova Corps, and just two days ago, Doctor Who‘s Karen Gillan signed on as a lead villain.

Today, Academy Award winner Benicio Del Toro signed on for a leading role. No details were revealed about who he’ll be playing, but according to Deadline (who broke the news), he has signed a multi-picture deal for a character that will have a big part in the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Thanos? Who knows!

What do you think of the news? Guardians of the Galaxy also stars Zoe Saldana, Chriss Pratt, Lee Pace, Michael Rooker, and plenty of others, and will hit theatres on August 1st, 2014!

PopCap Games first launch Plants vs. Zombies all the way back in 2009. Since then, the game has released on every single platform imaginable (though it has always played best on touchscreen devices), and in 2011, its developer was purchased by gaming giant Electronic Arts.

Plants vs. Zombies has won a multitude of awards since its release, and now it’s time for a sequel. The cleverly title Plants vs. Zombies 2: It’s About Time will launch on iOS device on July 18th.

Now, things are a little different this time around. The ‘designed-from-the-ground-up’ title will launch as a free-to-play game, supported by in-app-purchases. EA does this pretty consistently, so the news wasn’t entirely unexpected, but today’s press release confirms that “the vast majority of the game will be entirely free to play (players can face every zombie and access every level in every world at no cost), Plants vs. Zombies 2 players will also be able to purchase upgrades and other in-game items.”

Watch the trailer for Plants vs. Zombies 2: It’s About Time below, and let us know if you’ll be picking it up! I absolutely loved the first title (and have purchased it way too many times), so I know I’ll be checking it out on July 18th!

SEATTLE, Washington – June 3, 2013 – PopCap Games, creator of some of the world’s most beloved video game franchises and a division of Electronic Arts (NASDAQ: EA), today provided additional details regarding Plants vs. Zombies™ 2. The highly anticipated sequel to Plants vs. Zombies, a fan favorite among players of all ages, Plants vs. Zombies 2 will be previewed by invitation only at E3 in Los Angeles next week and will launch worldwide on July 18 exclusively for iPhone®, iPad® and iPod touch®. PopCap today also unveiled a trailer for Plants vs. Zombies 2, on its YouTube channel: (www.youtube.com/plantsvszombies).
Designed from the ground up as a live service, the ever-expanding universe of Plants vs. Zombies 2 continues the epic struggle of plants defending your brainz against zombies from your backyard through the vast reaches of time, both past and future. New worlds with new levels, plants, zombies and new ways to play will be released on an ongoing basis. Leveraging the touch interface of Apple’s popular mobile devices, Plants vs. Zombies 2 includes all-new touch-screen power-ups that enable players to “break the fourth wall” and interact with zombies directly, as well as via plant defenses.

Also returning for the sequel is Crazy Dave, the addled neighbor who serves as a guide for players and shopkeeper for special plant upgrades and other tools and weapons. New touch-screen power-ups, plant food that supercharges plants, and novel new game mechanics that both help and hinder players’ efforts to thwart the zombie hordes will enthrall existing fans and new players alike.

Free to download, Plants vs. Zombies 2 will expand and extend the classic gameplay of the original and provide players with dozens of all-new levels, plants and zombies across multiple worlds at no cost. While the vast majority of the game will be entirely free to play (players can face every zombie and access every level in every world at no cost), Plants vs. Zombies 2 players will also be able to purchase upgrades and other in-game items.

“It’s about time!” said Allen Murray, Senior Producer for Plants vs. Zombies 2. “We’re confident that players will see the love and attention we’ve put into this game. We’ve created wild new ways to experience the plants and zombies you know and love as well as packing the game with tons of completely new content, and we’re still hard at work coming up with even more cool stuff that will keep Plants vs. Zombies 2 fresh and evolving in the months and years following launch.”

We’ve all known about DC’s impending “Villain Month” for some time, but now that we’re just a few short months away from the event, the publisher has started releasing official details.

First, all books will be $3.99 (yes, groan, groan, mumble, mumble), but each confirmed book will also feature a cool 3D cover. We’re not talking trading-card sized hologram or a small piece of the image either, but the entire cover. It’s pretty cool, and I’m sure that any book you pick up regularly will be worth the extra dollar that month. Confirmed books at this time are Lex Luthor #1, Joker #1, First Born #1, Bizarro #1, Two-Face #1, Metallo #1, Relic #1, Desaad #1, Darkseid #1, Ventriloquist #1, Cyborg Superman #1, H’El #1, Creeper #1, Grodd #1, Poison Ivy #1, and Parasite #1.

Buzzfeed has a fantastic interview with Dan DiDio and Jim Lee about what Villain Month means for the DC Universe. It’s a great read, and if you weren’t excited for September before, maybe it can turn you around.

Warner Bros. Interactive has just revealed the next piece of DLC for the wildly popular Injustice: Gods Among Us… and it isn’t a DC character at all.

NetherRealm studios, of course, was the developer of the renowned Mortal Kombat remake in 2011. The next character is pulled directly from that title, but with a cool new design by DC superstar Jim Lee: Scorpion.

Scorpion’s release date is currently unknown, but the character will retail for $4.99. Watch Jim Lee and Ed Boon introduce the character below, and let us know if you’ll be picking him up!

We’re just 12 days away from Man of Steel‘s official release date, and today director Zack Snyder revealed a huge Easter Egg found in the film.

There are spoilers below, so do not read further if you want to keep the Easter Egg a surprise!

When speaking to Omelette, Snyder stated:

“The Wayne Enterprises logo is on a satellite that Zod destroys.”

When asked if we’d be seeing Bruce Wayne or Batman in the inevitable Man of Steel 2, he responded:

“I don’t know. Everything is interesting at this point. And don’t forget that Lex is out there, doing who knows what…”

So there you have it. It isn’t as cool as another DC character showing up in the film, but it’s confirmation that Metropolis and the world of Man of Steel exists in a larger cinematic universe for DC.

What do you think of the Easter Egg? Are you looking forward to the film? Sound out below!

With just twelve days to go until Man of Steel‘s highly anticipated release, Warner Bros. has released an awesome 13-minute featurette for the film.

The lengthy video interviews a multitude of cast and crew members about the film, and the entirely new world they set out to create. It’s a fantastic watch, and an eye opening one: it’s easy to see that everyone involved shares a great love for this character, and I’m sure they did everything in their power to do Superman justice.

Take a look at the featurette below, and let us know if you’re looking forward to the film! Man of Steel hits theatres on June 14th!

In the pantheon of superheroes, Superman is the most recognized and revered character of all time. Clark Kent/Kal-El (Cavill) is a young twentysomething journalist who feels alienated by powers beyond anyone’s imagination. Transported to Earth years ago from Krypton, an advanced alien planet, Clark struggles with the ultimate question – Why am I here? Shaped by the values of his adoptive parents Martha (Lane) and Jonathan Kent (Costner), Clark soon discovers that having super abilities means making very difficult decisions. But when the world needs stability the most, it comes under attack. Will his abilities be used to maintain peace or ultimately used to divide and conquer? Clark must become the hero known as “Superman,” not only to shine as the world’s last beacon of hope but to protect the ones he loves.

Last week, rumour had it that Community creator Dan Harmon was asked to return to the show, after season 4 showrunners Moses Port and David Guarascio decided to depart the series.

It looks like things are looking up for the long troubled, ridiculously funny sitcom, as Harmon himself tweeted a confirmation of his return:

Deadline later reported that the deal for Harmon’s return is not yet set in stone, and that negotiations seem to have hit a standstill, but that any issues are quickly expected to resolve.

This is incredible news for any Community fan. The comedy’s fourth season certainly had its brilliant moments, but was largely disappointing when compared to the first three outings. Things can only improve with the creator back on board.

Maybe, just maybe, we’ll get our six seasons and a movie after all.

Season 5, however, is still without a premiere date. I just hope that date isn’t October 19th. Let us know what you think of the news!

Sad news for fans of Doctor Who (who love Matt Smith… I think).

Less than two weeks after a new season was confirmed, and just a day after former partner Karen Gillan joined Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy, BBC has announced Matt Smith’s departure from the Doctor Who franchise.

Smith has portrayed the good doctor for four years now, and the series has only skyrocketed in popularity over that time. Matt’s final performances will be this year’s 50th anniversary special in November, and the Christmas special less than a month later.

What are your thoughts on the news? Is there an actor that you would like to see fill the role? Read statements from lead writer and executive producer Steven Moffat, and Matt Smith himself below!

Matt Smith says: “Doctor Who has been the most brilliant experience for me as an actor and a bloke, and that largely is down to the cast, crew and fans of the show. I’m incredibly grateful to all the cast and crew who work tirelessly every day, to realise all the elements of the show and deliver Doctor Who to the audience. Many of them have become good friends and I’m incredibly proud of what we have achieved over the last four years.

Having Steven Moffat as show runner write such varied, funny, mind bending and brilliant scripts has been one of the greatest and most rewarding challenges of my career. It’s been a privilege and a treat to work with Steven, he’s a good friend and will continue to shape a brilliant world for the Doctor.

The fans of Doctor Who around the world are unlike any other; they dress up, shout louder, know more about the history of the show (and speculate more about the future of the show) in a way that I’ve never seen before, your dedication is truly remarkable. Thank you so very much for supporting my incarnation of the Time Lord, number Eleven, who I might add is not done yet, I’m back for the 50th anniversary and the Christmas special!

It’s been an honour to play this part, to follow the legacy of brilliant actors, and helm the TARDIS for a spell with ‘the ginger, the nose and the impossible one’. But when ya gotta go, ya gotta go and Trenzalore calls. Thank you guys. Matt.”

Steven Moffat, lead writer and executive producer, says : “Every day, on every episode, in every set of rushes, Matt Smith surprised me: the way he’d turn a line, or spin on his heels, or make something funny, or out of nowhere make me cry, I just never knew what was coming next. The Doctor can be clown and hero, often at the same time, and Matt rose to both challenges magnificently. And even better than that, given the pressures of this extraordinary show, he is one of the nicest and hardest-working people I have ever had the privilege of knowing. Whatever we threw at him – sometimes literally – his behaviour was always worthy of the Doctor.

But great actors always know when it’s time for the curtain call, so this Christmas prepare for your hearts to break, as we say goodbye to number Eleven. Thank you Matt – bow ties were never cooler.

Of course, this isn’t the end of the story, because now the search begins. Somewhere out there right now – all unknowing, just going about their business – is someone who’s about to become the Doctor. A life is going to change, and Doctor Who will be born all over again! After 50 years, that’s still so exciting!”

Having starred alongside three different companions, Amy Pond (Karen Gillan), Rory Williams (Arthur Darvill) and most recently Clara Oswald (Jenna Coleman), Matt’s Doctor has fought Daleks and Cybermen, as well as Weeping Angels in New York. Regularly heard shouting ‘run’ and ‘Geronimo’, through Matt’s Doctor fans have been introduced to a new culinary combination – fish fingers and custard!

Matt’s spectacular exit is yet to be revealed and will be kept tightly under wraps. He will return to BBC One screens in the unmissable 50th anniversary episode on Saturday 23rd November 2013 – TUNE IN!

DOCTOR WHO *embargoed 19th March*

Andrew Scott Reisee, brilliant engineer and cofounder of Oculus VR, has died.

33-year-old Reisse was crossing a Santa Ana street when he was struck by a vehicle fleeing local police. The vehicle’s occupants are said to have been gang members on probation, and the car had damaged two other vehicles and dangerously drove through several red lights before the incident.

An official statement from Oculus VR reads:

Andrew was a brilliant computer graphics engineer, an avid photographer and hiker who loved nature, a true loyal friend, and a founding member of our close-knit Oculus family. Andrew’s contributions span far and wide in the video game industry. His code is embedded in thousands of games played by millions of people around the world. Words can not express how sorely he will be missed or how deeply our sympathy runs for his family.

This is terribly sad news for Andrew’s family, Oculus VR, and the entire gaming world. Oculus Rift looks to be a revolutionary idea, and it’s absolutely unfair that Reisse won’t see his revolution come to light.

Our thoughts are with Reisse’s family and friends.

Just days after Glenn Close joined the project as the head of the Nova Corps, James Gunn’s Guardians of the Galaxy has added another to its ranks.

Karen Gillan, most recognized for her five-year stint on BBC’s Doctor Who, has signed onto the film. Few details about her role have been revealed, but it is known that she’ll play the main villain in the feature.

Guardians of the Galaxy also stars Zoe Saldana, Chriss Pratt, Lee Pace, Michael Rooker, Glenn Close, and plenty of others. The film will hit theatres on August 1st, 2014. Let us know what you think of the latest addition to the cast, and if you’re looking forward to the film!

Following the action-packed first trailer for the film, Open Road Films has released a new character poster for Machete Kills. The image features Michelle Rodiguez as Shé, who sports a gun in each hand, and an eye patch over her right eye.

In MACHETE KILLS, Danny Trejo returns as ex-Federale agent MACHETE, who is recruited by the President of the United States for a mission which would be impossible for any mortal man – he must take down a madman revolutionary and an eccentric billionaire arms dealer who has hatched a plan to spread war and anarchy.

Following the first vehicular images released from Michael Bay’s Transformers 4 (here and here), Paramount has revealed a look at the first-generation Autobot scout, Hound.

It seems like all of the Autobots are hiding out in ridiculously expensive vehicles. Isn’t the idea to be in ‘disguise’?

Check out the first image of Hound below, and let us know if you’re looking forward to the film! Transformers 4 hits theatres on June 27th, 2014.

Some people roleplay by simply sitting around the table and casting the die of fate. Brave is the nerd that lives it by donning his armor and striding the LARP battlegrounds. Yet braver still are the men and women of Synergon: The BLARP (Business Live Action Roleplaying). Capitalism at its finest, the business office environment is a social time bomb of veiled feelings, buzzwords, and despair. So it only stands to common reason that dressing up in suits and living it as a cutthroat game of politics is only right! Synergon takes the spirits of D&D and the Business world, throwing them together. Part of the hilarity is that there are apparently a few real companies called Synergon, yet the site still remains hidden in the interwebs.

I say D&D specifically because Synergon uses identical character generation rules, though instead of the basic statistics of fantasy you have Patience, Tech Savvy, Eloquence, Charisma, and Creativity; and rather than classes you have a Department and get one Skill. While not identical to D&D in many other regards, it’s similar enough that anybody that knows the basics shouldn’t have too much of a problem as Synergon‘s rules are very easy to understand; with plenty of step by step graphs and clearly labelled sections containing several topics.

I cast the runes seven times to get me seven numbers to put in my new employee’s resume; with a low roll of 6 alongside 15,17,13,13,12,12. For Billium Majar, the latest addition to the Synergon family, I decided to fling the 6 into Education (like anybody cares where he went to school…) and made his primary stats Patience and Creativity, to make him a perfect applicant for the Legal Team, giving him an inherent weakness to Human Resources but making him the worst fears of Accounting.

Synergon-Abilities

All employees start by picking one skill of their choosing and get two random ones with a new choice every ten levels. I chose Intimidate as Billiums chosen skill, making him perfect for demoralizing those that get in his team’s way. In addition, Bill is a bit apathetic and couldn’t care less what people have to say, especially about his MBA degree. The same degree lets Mr. Majar use the Catchy Slogan ability to rejuvenate the efforts of the group. For the free item he gets at sign-on, he chose an Inspirational Poster to give him additional Creativity. The ending result is Bill has 23 AP and 15 MP. If he runs out of MP he quits his job and must start over as an Intern, during this time all he can do is regain his AP used for abilities.

An employee of Synergon uses abilities for anything, many of which allow you to be productive and useful to the company, while many others are used to torture and depress your enemies or inspire your own team. Employees can use any Ability at or below his or her tier (1-3), as well as their department unique abilities. When somebody uses an Attack, the target is allowed the choice of using a Defensive Ability that does not count against his actions for the hour. You are only allowed three per hour, and with only so many soul crushing hours of the day, each employee must be careful on how they budget their time, morale, and ability to get things done.

In addition to the players, there are always the hundreds of other drones that reside at Synergon HQ; the Frenemies. The Janitor, CEO, and the rest of the workforce would love to see you stomp off in anger to free up room in the budget for more pay for themselves. Its not that they hate you, they just hate the idea of working with you when they could be getting more money without you. These parasites often swarm around the halls and water coolers, and are known to strike when you really don’t want to acknowledge their existence. Though it may just be a case of the Mondays.

Synergon is easy to understand, easy to play, and just plain fun. It’s taking one of the most serious things and exposing just how silly it all really is. Character creation is a snap, and if you feel all the abilities you use can be daunting just make a list of 12+ abilities that you’d like to use and limit yourself to that.

While written primarily as a LARPing game, it’s worth noting that the game is playable just fine as any other tabletop rpg (but I’m sure in its full suited glory the game is great too)! The office environment leads to intense squabbles and the game’s system is very forgiving while also being very cruel, resulting in an entertaining experience when greed isn’t the motivator of the fighting. You can see Synergon free on their official website!

It’s been some time since we’ve seen any new marketing come from Marvel’s Thor: The Dark World. The studio today released five new still photos for the film, mixing production images with behind-the-scenes.

I was a big fan of 2011’s Thor, and with Iron Man 3 being the disappointment that it was, I hope that November’s launch of Thor: The Dark World can be the start to Phase Two that we were all hoping for. Check out the photos below, and let us know what you think! Thor: The Dark World hits theatres on November 8th.

Marvel’s “Thor: The Dark World” continues the big-screen adventures of Thor, the Mighty Avenger, as he battles to save Earth and all the Nine Realms from a shadowy enemy that predates the universe itself.  In the aftermath of Marvel’s “Thor” and “Marvel’s The Avengers,” Thor fights to restore order across the cosmos…but an ancient race led by the vengeful Malekith returns to plunge the universe back into darkness.  Faced with an enemy that even Odin and Asgard cannot withstand, Thor must embark on his most perilous and personal journey yet, one that will reunite him with Jane Foster and force him to sacrifice everything to save us all.

Following all of the awesome still photos and concept art from yesterday, Warner Bros has released both a new banner, and a new featurette for Guillermo Del Toro’s highly anticipated Pacific Rim.

The film’s second featurette (watch the first here) takes you onto the film’s giant sets, and shows you what it’s like to create and film a Jaeger. It’s an awesome look inside the film, and should help to further excite you for July 12th!

When legions of monstrous creatures, known as Kaiju, started rising from the sea, a war began that would take millions of lives and consume humanity’s resources for years on end. To combat the giant Kaiju, a special type of weapon was devised: massive robots, called Jaegers, which are controlled simultaneously by two pilots whose minds are locked in a neural bridge. But even the Jaegers are proving nearly defenseless in the face of the relentless Kaiju. On the verge of defeat, the forces defending mankind have no choice but to turn to two unlikely heroes – a washed up former pilot (Charlie Hunnam) and an untested trainee (Rinko Kikuchi) – who are teamed to drive a legendary but seemingly obsolete Jaeger from the past. Together, they stand as mankind’s last hope against the mounting apocalypse.

Machete is almost ready to return to theatres, and this time he’s been hired by the president himself.

The first trailer for the latest film by Robert Rodriguez, Matchete Kills, has just debuted online. The film looks to retain the very stylish look and feel of the first movie (which of course stemmed from that fake trailer attached to 2007’s Grindhouse). Machete Kills sports quite the cast, including Danny Trejo, Michelle Rodrigues, Amber Heard, Mel Gibson, Jessica Alba, Lady Gaga, Charlie Sheen, and more! Wow, that is a lot of stars.

Take a look at the trailer below, and let us know what you think! Machete Kills hits theatres on September 13th!

Pacific Rim draws ever closer, and I find myself more and more excited for the film every day. Every trailer, image, and piece of marketing for the film has looked incredible, and it’s going to be quite the experience to see the Kaiju and the Jaeger’s duke it out on the big screen.

The awesome folks over at Variety have just released a cool batch of new still images and concept art for the film. Plenty of the movie’s stars are showcased, and director Guillermo Del Toro looks damn excited to be realizing this dream. Take a look at the images below, and let us know what you think!

It looks like I’ll finally get a chance to experience this gem. Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic was first rumoured to be hitting the iPad a few weeks back. Nobody had seen the game, and nobody confirmed it, so as most rumours do, the idea disappeared.

Confusingly, IGN published a review of the game this morning, with no mention of the title actually coming out. Just a few minutes ago, Knights of the Old Republic hit the App Store. I guess games don’t even need to be announced these days.

Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic first released on the Xbox nearly ten years ago. It is a critically acclaimed RPG, and is widely considered the best Star Wars game ever made.

My copy is currently downloading. If you’ve never experienced Knights of the Old Republic, and you like gaming on the go, you owe it to yourself to pick this up. The game will cost you a cool $10, and can be downloaded here.

Already playing? Let us know what you think of the port!

Yesterday we showed you the first three robots from Michael Bay’s upcoming Transformers 4.

Today, it’s Bumblebee’s turn. The popular Autobot returns again, but this time in a heavily-modified 1967 Camaro. He’s also gone dark: from the image, it looks like the car sports yellow accents exclusively on the front end, with the rest of the car being flat black.

Take a look at the reimagined Bumblebee below, and let us know if you’re looking forward to the film. Trans4mers Transformers 4 opens on June 27th, 2014.
