Word is that Warner Bros. may be looking at Sons Of Anarchy and Pacific Rim star Charlie Hunnam for the role of The Flash in their upcoming Justice League movie or even a possible solo film. One of CHUD.com’s “industry sources” reports that the actor has made a big impression on the studio and may be up for a role in some of their upcoming films. According to the website:

“Hunnam’s likeness is being used for conceptual art on a particular big WB project right now. The film? Justice League. It seems that in the current pieces being drawn up, Charlie is The Flash.”

This doesn’t necessarily mean that he’s Warner Bros. pick for the role. It could mean that the concept artist may be a fan of Hunnam’s and used his likeness for the art or it could possibly be that Warner Bros. requested it that way in order to sell the actor on the role. It’s also highly likely that the actor has at least been discussed for the role. After Pacific Rim hits theaters this summer, you can definitely expect Warner Bros. to be looking at the actor for more roles and this may just be one of them.

Did you really think they were going to end it with Fast & Furious 6? Well, you’d be just plain crazy to think that. The film has already been green lit but Justin Lin made it clear quite some time ago that he wasn’t going to be coming back for the next installment in the franchise. It appears that Universal has found their replacement with James Wan, who directed the first installment in the Saw franchise and Death Sentence as well as directing horror films Insidious and the upcoming The Conjuring. There’s no word at the moment which of the film’s stars will be back for the seventh installment, but you can pretty much count on Dwayne Johnson returning.

I’ve seen over ten minutes of footage from the film directed by the District 9 director and it looks gre….you know what. Just watch the trailer below and you’ll see what I’m talking about.

In the year 2159 two classes of people exist: the very wealthy who live on a pristine man-made space station called Elysium, and the rest, who live on an overpopulated, ruined Earth. Secretary Rhodes (Jodie Foster), a hard line government official, will stop at nothing to enforce anti-immigration laws and preserve the luxurious lifestyle of the citizens of Elysium. That doesn’t stop the people of Earth from trying to get in, by any means they can. When unlucky Max (Matt Damon) is backed into a corner, he agrees to take on a daunting mission that if successful will not only save his life, but could bring equality to these polarized worlds.

Director Edgar Wright has revealed via Twitter that he not only did he shoot The World’s End this summer but a shot in another summer film. He tweeted the following:

It has been rumored for awhile that Wright was to shoot a scene that would either appear mid or post credits during Shane Black’s Iron Man 3 and set up the long in development Ant-Man film. Many of his followers replied with the Marvel Studios film as their guesses to what film the director was referring to. Wright followed up with:

ant-man

Could Marvel be getting ready to introduce Ant-Man early? Guess we’re going to have to wait and find out when Iron Man 3 hits theaters in just under a month.

The first TV spot has debuted for the Zack Snyder directed Man Of Steel. The spot consists of mostly previously seen footage but is probably the first of many spots coming for the film.

In the pantheon of superheroes, Superman is the most recognized and revered character of all time. Clark Kent/Kal-El (Cavill) is a young twentysomething journalist who feels alienated by powers beyond anyone’s imagination. Transported to Earth years ago from Krypton, an advanced alien planet, Clark struggles with the ultimate question – Why am I here? Shaped by the values of his adoptive parents Martha (Lane) and Jonathan Kent (Costner), Clark soon discovers that having super abilities means making very difficult decisions. But when the world needs stability the most, it comes under attack. Will his abilities be used to maintain peace or ultimately used to divide and conquer? Clark must become the hero known as “Superman,” not only to shine as the world’s last beacon of hope but to protect the ones he loves.

We’ve heard about the cast of, but other than that there’s been plenty of secrecy surrounding the Marvel & ABC’s upcoming pilot for their S.H.I.E.L.D. series. ABC Network has now provided a an official synopsis for the Joss Whedon directed pilot, which also reveals that the series will be called Marvel’s Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. Check out the synopsis for the hour-long prospective series below.

Joss Whedon (MARVEL’S THE AVENGERS, Buffy the Vampire Slayer) shows us not all heroes are super with MARVEL’S AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D.

Fresh from his role in the summer’s box office smash, MARVEL’S THE AVENGERS, Agent Phil Coulson (Clark Gregg) returns to the worldwide law enforcement organization S.H.I.E.L.D. He puts together a small, highly trained, team of Agents to tackle the cases that haven’t been classified yet, the new, the strange and the unknown. That team consists of straight arrow Agent Grant Ward (Brett Dalton), an expert in combat and espionage; pilot and martial artist Agent Melinda May (Ming-Na Wen); and brilliant if socially awkward scientists Agent Leo Fitz (Iain De Caestecker) and Agent Jemma Simmons (Elizabeth Henstridge). They’ll be joined by civilian new recruit and computer hacker Skye (Chloe Bennet).

Prepare for an epic adventure that showcases the hope and wonder of the human spirit. This is a world of Super Heroes, aliens and the unusual – of action, spectacle and world spanning stories. The show will speak to the human condition through the lens of our very human, non-powered S.H.I.E.L.D agents – that together we are greater than we are apart, and that we can make a difference in the world.

Executive Produced and co-written by Joss Whedon, Jed Whedon & Maurissa Tancharoen (Dollhouse, Dr.Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog), Jeffrey Bell (Angel, Alias) and Jeph Loeb (Smallville, Lost, Heroes) comes Marvel’s first live-action TV series, MARVEL’S AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D.

Word is that the pilot for the prospective series (who are we kidding…it’s going to get picked up) will air sometime in August.

Even though filming has already wrapped on Marvel’s S.H.I.E.L.D. pilot it appears that we’ve got another confirmed cast member. It has been revealed that Joss Whedon has cast J. August Richards, who he has worked with in the past on Angel, in what is being called a “super top-secret role.” Let the speculation commence! Richards will join Clark Gregg, Ming-Na, Chloe Bennet, Elizabeth Henstridge Iain De Caestecker and Brett Dalton in the series pilot which is set to air sometime in August.

Director Bryan Singer continues to tease fans via Twitter and has just revealed the first look at the new design for Nicholas Hoult’s Beast in X-Men: Days Of Future Past. Carrie Kelly will be joining the New 52 in issue #19 of Batman & Red Robin. Yes, we are talking about Carrie Kelly from Frank Miller’s The Dark Knight Returns. While she may not be joining the book as the new Robin (yet?), the character will definitely play an important role in the series starting with issue #24.

Batman And (Red) Robin #19

On the darkest of nights, who is the one person Batman meets that could change his life forever?

Peter Tomasi on the introduction of the character:

“She’s a college kid who’s got spunk and speaks her mind. This is not an alternate-earth Robin, this is simply a girl named Carrie Kelley, who we learn knew Damian, which in turn weaves her into the fabric of the DC Universe for the first time in 25 years. What you’ll find out once you crack the book, is that she’s not exactly the ‘new Robin,’ but I don’t want to spoil the story and her introduction into Bruce Wayne/Batman’s life.

In regards to how long she’ll be around, let’s just say that it’s a helluva lot longer than ‘one issue.’ I’ve got plans for Carrie that play well into the future. It’s all in continuity. It’s all part of the Batman universe in the here and now. Carrie Kelley has found her way into The New 52 and she’s here to stay – in what capacity is anybody’s guess – except mine of course.”

Could Carrie Kelley become the new Robin of the New 52 DC Universe? It’s definitely appears that they’re heading that way and you may want to pick this issue up when it hits stands before first printings become impossible to find.

Gym teacher Miss Desjardin tries in vain to protect Carrie from local mean girls led by the popular and haughty Chris Hargenson, but only Chris’ best friend, Sue Snell, regrets their actions. Infantino is perhaps best known for his work on Batman with John Broome during the character’s reinvention during the 60’s.
