Most gamers know Square Enix for its Final Fantasy series of RPGs. What you might not be aware of is that they also make toys, like their Play Arts Kai posable figures. The Play Arts Kai line (sometimes abbreviated as PAK)  more often than not star characters from their own games (although Hatsune Miku and Batman, among others, have also joined the ranks). At the recent Jump Festa in Japan, prototypes of Cloud Strife and Barret Wallace in the style of the Final Fantasy VII Remake were on display.

Don’t they look spiffy? I am especially impressed with Barret’s look.

As these figures are still in the prototype phase, the design could still change drastically. But let’s think happy thoughts!

What’s your opinion on these new figures? Do you own any other Play Arts Kai? Let us know in the comments!

Use the coupon code “CyberMonday15” to get 30% off all orders until Monday at midnight (December 1st at 12 am)!

For the most part, there are two ways to attack Black Friday: in a line or on the computer. If you favor the latter (or just want to get your cuddly shopping done before the rush), Tentacle Kitty’s online store just announced its holiday deals, active now through until midnight on December 1.

All products get 15% off with discount code: BlackWeek15

25% off any order over $100: BlackWeek25

Not sure which cutie to pick up? You can’t go wrong with Tentacle Kitty in her traditional pink coloring. I would also recommend the Rat Tailed Unicorn (that rodent tail and curly mane combo gets me every time). Want something a little smaller? Those teeny-tiny Little Ones are always a hit. You can even order a Dragon Con exclusive version Little One at present.

Are you planning on taking advantage of this sale? Which Kitty will you be picking up? Sound out below!

[Disclaimer: This is a review of a sample provided by ThinkGeek.]

ThinkGeek recently listed a store-exclusive jumbo plush of Game of Thrones‘ dragon, Drogon. Being a lover of all things plush, I was itching to get my hands on the beast.

Now, onto the review!

shydrogon

My Drogon is actually a uncharacteristically shy. So let’s start off with the a look at his tag.

frontoftag

backoftag

It is a standard tag as far as content but also relatively large. The tag’s size isn’t noticeable because it is dwarfed by the large size of the plush.

wingspan

wingdetail

Ah! It seems our scaly star is ready to begin. As you can see, Drogon has an impressive wingspan; 42 inches wide to be exact. The pose-able wires are in the scaly arm portions at the top of each wing (they also run as a skeletal system through the body, tail, and legs). The suede sections of the wings are soft to touch and not at all rough or stiff. The wings also have embroidered detail in the faux suede.

feetsies

His toes are where the plush seams are most visible but thankfully, they didn’t look bare or stressed. I am not concerned about the seams bursted or ripping in the future. I was pleased that little dragon claws are a different fabric rather than just painted on. Nice touch!

backview

Drogon’s back is lined with spines. This is the one area where I am slightly disappointed. Each of the spines are rough around the edges and unpleasant to the touch. Some of the smaller ones on the head also have a tendency lie flat.

facedetail

I was thoroughly impressed with Drogon’s face and mouth. Much like the case with his claws, Factory Entertainment (the manufacturer) shirked the cheap, easy route and avoided making the teeth out of single cutouts of felt. Drogon’s chompers are thick pieces of fabric sewn together, which is much sturdier and nicer to look at. And fun fact, you can stick part of your pinky in his nostrils (in other words, they are real little pockets). His detailed face is definitely my favorite feature.

drogonsideview

This plush is a pretty big guy. According to his listing, Drogon is 16 inches tall and 22 inches long, nose to tail. Is he big enough to match his price point ? Well, if you factor in the pose-ability, quality, and attention to detail along with the size, I would say yes.

While I don’t think many people would pay nearly 60 dollars for a dragon plush without having a deep connection to Game of Thrones, I will say that I personally love Drogon and would happily have shelled out the money for him.

You can purchase your own Game of Thrones Jumbo Drogon Plush Dragon at ThinkGeek [link] at the price of $59.99.

Tentacle Kitty and her friends have grown in popularity, and number, of the past few years. Created by artist John Merritt, the 10-appendaged feline has partnered with ThinkGeek for a store-exclusive colorway, the Orange Tabby Tentacle Kitty.

Tentacle Kitty is no stranger to ThinkGeek’s storefront. Both the Rat-tailed Unicorn (a personal favorite of mine) and Ninja Kitty, not to mention Tentacle Kitty herself, have been sold there in the past. New colorways aren’t new territory either; a successful Kickstarter ran late last year that lead to four new shades of Tentacle Kitty awesomeness.

The ThinkGeek-exclusive Orange Tabby Tentacle Kitty costs $29.99 and is available to order now [link]. And if you haven’t already, check out the Tentacle Kitty webcomic!

It’s crazy seeing the influx (and growth) of Tentacle Kitty merch at various conventions! We know there’s a huge variety, so be sure to let us know what your favorite Tentacle Kitty plush has been!

Japanese toy manufacturer, Kotobukiya, listed another figure, Anne, in their Cu-Poche line for pre-order. For those unfamiliar with Cu-Poche, they are four and a half inch articulated figures with magnets in their feet, enabling the, to stand on their metallic bases. They come with a variety of accessories, depending on what character the figure is based on.

cupcocheanne2

What sets this particular toy apart from those that came before is its source material. Cup-Poche tend to be based on anime such as Puella Magi Madoka Magica and Idol M@ster. Anne, however, was created by Kotobukiya specifically for this line. She is also the first Cu-Poche to come wearing fabric clothing (which can be worn by any other Cu-Poche you own as well). If Kotobukiya Japan’s official Cu-Poche twitter is any indication, more fabric outfits should be on the way.

cupocheanne

Kotobukiya has also listed a special accessory set containing additional items for Anne: three facial expressions (dubbed “sparkling eyes,” “unhappy face,” and “excited”), a ponytail hair style, and items to decorate the ponytail (a bow and a scrunchie-like hair tie).

You can pre-order Cu-Poche: Friends Anne from the official Kotobukiya online store [link]. She will cost $34.99 and is scheduled to ship January 2016. Her accessory set containing the three extra expressions and hair pieces is exclusively available to pre-order at the official Kotobukiya online store [link] for $19.99 with an estimated ship date of February 2016.

I love this episode! Filmmakers Corey Landis and Roger Lay Jr. grew up, like many of us, with the iconic 80s cartoon and action figure ‘He-Man’! This was our childhood! But then, not only did we grow up… but He-Man kind of disappeared from the cultural consciousness, replaced by Transformers, GI Joe and Ninja Turtles! What was the story behind He-Man anyways? He seemed to be the first of all of these cartoon/toy powerhouses. Well, Roger and Corey’s documentary ‘The Toy Masters’ explores all of those questions and more! It’s a great film and we have both of them on the show this week to talk about all things Masters of the Universe! Enjoy!

Every once in a while there comes along a perfect chocolate peanutbutter situation. Today we have the newest Reese’s on our hands.

Tamashii Nations and Bluefin have teamed up to bring us the Meisho Movie Realization Star Wars line of figures, and holy crap they look absolutely amazing! Check them out below!

The Meisho Movie Realization Star Wars line pays homage to the Samurai aesthetic and artfully reimagines several Empire characters from the legendary films with feudal-style Japanese armor and weaponry. Each figure is exquisitely crafted by some of Japan’s top sculpting talent and constructed with hybrid materials featuring up to 15 points of articulation to create endless posing possibilities.

The newest addition to the Meisho Movie Realization Star Wars product line is the “Ronin” Boba Fett, which debuts in December and depicts the intergalactic bounty hunter as a “lordless” Samurai warrior via the sculpting talent of artists Takeyuki Takeya and Junichi Taniguchi. The “Daisho” Darth Vader depicts the Dark Sith Lord as a Samurai General clad in sinister black “Death Star” armor and will debut in January 2016. It will be followed in May 2016 by the imposing Akazonae Royal Guard, outfitted with a Japanese-style katana and pike and resplendent in beautiful crimson-robed armor. Pre-orders for these figures are available now.

Fans that want to dive into the Meisho Movie Realization Star Wars line immediately can select from a trio of figures – available now – that includes the “Ashigaru” Stormtrooper, and the Samurai General “Taisho” Darth Vader. Each is clad in a unique set of armor and comes with an array of weapons and other accessories.

These look absolutely INCREDIBLE! We’ve all seen the pictures of Samurai Stormstrooper cosplays from Comic Con, but to see a bunch of other characters realized in the same fashion, this geek is ecstatic!

Star Wars and the Samurai motif go together perfectly, and even a lot of fans have drawn the similarities between the Star Wars films and early Japanese films from the likes of Akira Kurosawa.

The figures range in price from $82 – $93, these are obviously not for the youngsters. You can snag the Taisho Darth Vader and the Stormtrooper figures right now, and the rest can be added to your collection starting January 2016! For more information check out Bluefin’s official website!

If you’re even a casual fan of Geekscape then The Guardians of The Galaxy should be a name you’re familiar with. HELL, they were arguably one of the most popular films of last year. So when Entertainment Earth announced that they had an exclusive edition of the Marvel Legends line of figures from Hasbro I JUMPED at the chance to check them out.

Overview

What you get in the box.
What you get in the box.

This is how things look when you open the box. The packaging is really high quality stuff, and you can easily display the collection without opening the box. I, on the other hand, always play with my toys so I popped the package open right away.

This is what is included with the collection:

  • The exclusive of the year!
  • All the Guardians of the Galaxy in one box set!
  • Groot, Drax the Destroyer, Gamora, Star-Lord, Rocket Raccoon, and Baby Groot in Pot!
  • First-ever comic book version of Groot!
  • 6-inch scale action figures feature amazing detail and astonishing articulation.

Entertainment Earth Exclusive! Your favorite heroes from Guardians of the Galaxy are here in 6-inch scale, with fantastic accessories and more firepower than you can shake a stick at! Bring home the exclusive of the year with this Guardians of the Galaxy Comic Edition Marvel Legends Action Figure Box Set from Hasbro that includes 5 awesome figures in costumes you won’t find anywhere else… and a bonus baby Groot. Plus, the fifth-panel display box lets you see all your figures and gear without having to open the box!
– Groot (8-inches tall!)
– Drax the Destroyer
– Gamora
– Star-Lord Peter Quill
– Rocket Raccoon
– Baby Groot in Pot

What isn’t listed is the tiny little Tesseract that is included, small oversight but still worth noting.

Review

I was really excited to get these suckers open. First thing I noticed after opening the box was how tough the packaging is. They were a bit tough to get out of the plastic, and Gamora lost her head! Luckily she has a spare. They really had collectors in mind with this release, they will last forever on your shelf still in the box. The whole shebang also comes in a thick cardboard outer sleeve, so if you ever have to ship them or move them you’re covered.

First figure I grabbed was Star Lord. I really enjoy this version of Star Lord over the onscreen representation. Just personal preference really, I get that Rocketeer vibe from it. AND YOU ALL KNOW HOW MUCH OF A ROCKETEER FAN I AM!

Everyone out to play!
Everyone out to play!

I immediately was impressed with the levels of articulation, as well as how well Hasbro was able to hide it. If anyone is familiar with Figuarts or Play Arts toys, then you’re understand what I am talking about. The articulation of these figures are EASILY on par with those two companies, who are easily consider the leaders in advanced articulation. Whoever at Hasbro that designed these toys needs to get a huge bonus, I honestly wasn’t expecting how well these came out.

The sculpts and paints on these are also top notch. No glaring painting errors jumped out at me, and the figures all feel very detailed. Production is also very high. No flashing or damaged molding, and the articulation was very tight. Perhaps a bit TOO tight, as I was posing some of the figures I felt like I would damage them. I think if you were going to play with these often, then they would “work in” a little bit.

The accessories all match the quality. No Dollar Store guns here!

I only have a few complaints, and they are mild. The articulation on Rocket and Groot are a bit limited. I feel like Groot should have a bit more movement in his chest and feet, but I can see why they went with what they had. Guy is a big ass tree! Rocket’s design doesn’t really lend for more than what we get. He twists at the torso, his tail is on a ball joint and his arms have all the normal joints. He’s my favorite figure out of the bunch. I love his expression! Gamora I felt could use some more R&D on her design. It could just be that her character might not lend itself to a 3D figure, but she just didn’t resonate with me. For the quality of everything else in the box, they could have matched her cape to the rest of the collection. It’s your normal “toy” fabric analogue. If I were to display the figures outside of the box, I’d leave this off personally.

Final Thoughts

I was REALLY impressed with the whole lot. The pros definitely outweigh the cons I have with this collection. These are aimed at older fans of the series/serious collectors, so you’re not going to give this to a kid under 10. I’d be happier to see the set come down a little in price, at $120 it’s just a bit on the high side.

I give the Entertainment Earth Guardians of The Galaxy Comic Edition Figure Collection a definite BUY. If you’re a fan of well made toys you owe it to yourself to snag yourself this set.

You’d be hard pressed to say Harley Quinn isn’t one of the hottest characters in comics right now. With the upcoming Suicide Squad film (watch the first trailer here), she is going to be thrown into the conscious of the main stream. So when I heard that our friends over at Entertainment Earth had an exclusive Black and White edition of their insanely popular Harley Quinn figure I was extremely excited.

TM350855_no_watermark

Harley Quinn is up to no good… and she’s hotter than ever! The Fantasy Figure Gallery DC Comics Collection Black-and-White Harley Quinn Resin Statue – Entertainment Earth Exclusive is based on the designs of famed illustrator Luis Royo. The stunning resin statue has the playful but poisonous psychopath sitting on a black-and-white ball in a sexy pose, dressed in a black-and-white outfit. This exclusive limited edition version features Harley’s bloody red mallet resting on her right shoulder. No detail is missed, from her belt-like choker to her 3-strap bodice and boots. The Joker’s main squeeze flashes an innocent smile, but her intentions are anything but! Harley Quinn stands about 10 1/4-inches tall and comes with a numbered display plate, art card, and certificate of authenticity. Limited to only 100 pieces!

This statue, as well as their full color original, were both designed by legendary artist Luis Royo.

With my personal experience with the manufacturer, Yamato USA, you can be sure that everything is going to be of extremely high quality. From the moulding and sculpt, down to the paint. I have quite a few Yamato USA items and have never been let down by their quality.

If you want to get your hands on the Black and White Harley Quinn, you can head on over to Entertainment Earth and preorder her now!

In a shocking turn of events, Nintendo has announced that they are exiting the game market and moving into the toy business, company head, Satoru Iwata has announced in a press release this morning.

“Thanks to our recent… Okay, only success this holiday season in the form of amiibo, we have decided to cease all 3DS and Wii U production to focus on toys full time. Despite the fact that we have released countless titles of high quality, and even took exclusives from our competition, it’s clear that the audience has passed us by in favor of… Wait, what has Sony and Microsoft released?”

After a few paragraphs of rambling and apologizing, Iwata eventually got to the crux of the matter.

“It is now clear that we could release Uncharted 4 and Halo 5 bundled with the Wii U for $60 and no one would buy it. So we’re just not going to bother anymore. But what we’ve found in recent months, is that we can create poorly designed figures for pennies on the dollar, limit their availability, and make millions off of the hysteria! I mean come on, Amiibo made more money in two months than Sony and Microsoft made company wide in a year!”

This won’t be the first time Nintendo has dealt outside of the game industry. Their rich history includes the production of Hanafuda Cards and Love Hotels before stumbling on the Game And Watch, which were essentially Tiger Handhelds with Nintendo’s famous innovation to make them even worse.

When asked if their renewed focus meant that we would get more than three Amiibo prints per city, Iwata simply responded with, “Please Understand.”

Amiibo

Maybe you picked up the classic RPG, Skies of Arcadia, on the Sega Dreamcast, a console that was ahead of its time, but ultimately couldn’t withstand a decade of bad decisions. Maybe your were like me and didn’t get to try it until the enhanced Gamecube remake. Either way, those who have played it can go on for hours how incredible this game was, from its battle system and story to its ship battles that still put Assassin’s Creed to shame. Now, courtesy of First 4 Figures, you’ll have a chance to own the captain of the Blue Rogues himself, Vyse!

Featuring both a standard and exclusive version that brands his trademark cutlass, Vyse has been recreated on a 1/6 scale. Vyse measures approximately 11″ tall on his own, and from the foot of the base to the tip of the pirates flag, the entire statue measures an impressive 17″ tall.

This is the third Sega All Stars figure, which included Akira Yuki from Virtua Fighter and Ryo Hazuki, the star of another Dreamcast classic in Shenmue. I have to say, I’m pleasantly surprised that if they wanted to choose another character that represents Sega’s glory in its final days as a 1st party publisher, Vyse is who they decided to go with.

Vyse will be released in the fourth quarter of 2014. For more information, including pre order details and additional images, check out First4Figures.com. Afterwards, make sure to let us know if you’re planning on picking this one up!

You all know how excited we at Geekscape are for Warner Bros. and Legendary’s upcoming Godzilla. From the Godzilla Encounter event at last year’s SDCC, to the film’s first trailer, to the about-to-release graphic novel, and everything in between, we’re absolutely enamoured with the legendary creature’s long-overdue reboot and return to form.

A huge character like the king of monsters warrants a huge lineup of cool tie-ins, and that’s exactly what Godzilla is getting. Late last week, a sweet package from Warner Bros. Consumer Products arrived, giving me a small taste of the fantastic Godzilla products making their way to shelves.

The package came complete with fantastic Godzilla Encounter esque box art.

Inside the box was a variety of goodies that were pretty damned impressive. So here’s some info (and professional photos that are exponentially better than the ones that I could take) on some of the available items.

KINETIX Godzilla 2014 Shirt

Fashion gets fierce with this limited-edition Godzilla t-shirt from Kinetix. Exclusively available at Kitson for $42, this shirt features the King of Monsters with his moniker spelled out along his spine.

Derek’s note: this shirt is awesome. It’s super soft, super high quality, and I actually received a ton of “cool shirt” comments in the day that I’ve worn it.

This one won’t actually be available to consumers, but it’s pretty cool. It’s a small, very bright, high quality Godzilla flashlight. It also came with a ‘torch’ piece so you can direct air traffic and whatnot.

And of course, we already showed you the Jakk’s Pacific figure that we’d totally wait in line for.

Again, that’s just a small taste of some of the sweet, sweet products that you’ll see on store shelves. Be sure to let us know if you’ll be picking any of these up (like that amazing t-shirt), and how excited you are for the film!

Just announced over at MTV News (does Sway still work over there?), JAKKS Pacific has released some super specific details about their upcoming three-foot long Godzilla action figure. Check out some photos below courtesy of our friends over at MTV.

As you can plainly tell, this sucker is over three-feet long and features some hyper realistic “tail swinging action!”. The most intriguing part about this whole release is that this is our first unobstructed view of the new Godzilla. This particular sculpt is a very happy departure from the very maligned Godzilla from 1998. More closely resembling the monster from later films, such as Godzilla: Final Wars.

You can get your hands on the lizard this week at Toys R’ Us for about $45, and nationwide in May. You can see the film Godzilla May 16th!

Some reason I’m not believing in this kids enthusiasm.

Godzilla looks apathetic and that kid is expressing pure, unadulterated, joy

I want to scream it from the rooftops. “I’VE GOT THE NEW TRANSFORMERS MASTERPIECE SOUNDWAVE!” But nobody in my neighborhood would care, so I’m sharing the news with you instead.

The wife and I were at Toys R Us and she had to ask customer service a question. As we got the answer and turned to walk away, I noticed giant black boxes with half of a Decepticon symbol showing on the side. “What are those?” I asked innocently.

The woman grabbed the biggest one, turned it around, and said “Oh it’s some new Transformers thing. Soundwave, it’s called.” But when I learned of the price ($119.99) I had to walk away from it. We can’t be spending over $100 on a collectible toy that will adorn a shelf.

Or could we?

After a coupon and a few hours of research/thinking, I decided I should splurge. After all, these toys are so hard to get, I never thought I would ever see one in real life. Plus my birthday is coming. So a few hours later I called and asked them to hold it for me, and since they still had it I took that as a sign.

And now it’s mine. I opened it, because of course I’m going to. Soundwave was easily my favorite (and the coolest) Decepticon. Plus, when I think back to the 1980s, he was my first Transformer, a Christmas gift from my parents. I spent the whole day ignoring people and their questions, changing him from robot to cassette player over and over and over. I’d never seen a toy like it. It was practically two toys. Then the cartoon came out, and I’ve been a huge Transformers fan ever since.

But this toy…wow. Can it even be called a toy? It is truly a masterpiece. It has more detail than any Transformer I’ve ever seen. Plus it comes with five, count ‘em, five cassettes: Buzzsaw, Laserbeak, Rumble, Frenzy and Ravage. All of the classic cassettes. That’s not it though! It has one of the clear Energon Cubes, which we 1980s Transformers geeks all know Soundwave made as they stole energy from humans. Still not enough? It has Megatron in gun form for Soundwave to fire as well!

Negatives? Not many besides the price. Yes, the directions are the usual Hasbro images with no text, and there’s a step or two that is a bit frustrating until you figure them out. Even though he transforms in pretty much the same way as the original, there’s a hidden button or two that, if you don’t notice them, will definitely frustrate you. The cassettes transform in a different manner as well, such as the birds: their weapons are now attached to them and don’t need to be added after.

Hasbro has truly gone above and beyond for us true grown-up Transformers lovers. This is probably the coolest toy/collectible I have ever purchased. Yes, it was a bit expensive, and I’ll never ask for another one again (the child in me laughs at that phrase) but it’s the best.

If you love Transformers, this piece is a must-have.

Wow, there is A LOT of cool stuff coming out of Toy Fair this year!

Go ahead and buy them for your kids… we all know that they’re really for you.

Check out all of the new toys below, and let us know if you’re going to be picking them up!

HE MAN DSC07449 SKELETOR DSC07451 SWORD DSC07381

By the Power of Grayskull! Masters of the Universe® in Super-Deformed Glory

It was a battle for the ages – or at least the ‘80s. Pajama-clad Saturday mornings were defined by the never- ending battle between good and evil: heroic He-Man® and evil Skeletor®. Surrounded by the forces of good, He-Man was a pop culture icon of the era and currently retains this status in cartoons, comics and more.

Comic Images is tapping into that memory vault this spring is, bringing six Masters of the Universe (MOTU) plush toys to market. Five characters – He-Man, Skeletor, Beast Man®, Trap Jaw®and Battle Cat® – are rendered in Comic Images’ own classic 7-inch Super-Deformed style, featuring giant heads on tiny bodies,  the popular look Comic Images innovated and for which it has become known. This will be the first time that plush versions of MOTU characters – as well as He-Man’s 30-inch iconic sword – will be available at brick and mortar stores, as well as online pop culture retailers.

“Mention Masters of the Universe at a cocktail party or BBQ and it is amazing what happens,” said Gordon. “You can almost see full grown men’s faces transform back to their youth with the memories of pretending to vanquish Skeletor with He-Man’s sword. It is a cultural touch point for 30- and 40-somethings and now they want to share it with their kids.”

MOTU Super-Deformed Plush has a suggested retail price of $9.99 – $11.99. All will be available at traditional and online retailers.

So what do you think? They look cute as hell and are priced right, so I expect them to do well when they hit shelves later this year!

I’ve you’ve never played Cut the Rope, you should really do yourself a favor and pick it up. It’s adorable, it’s addicting, and it’s most importantly, it’s fun as hell! Honestly, if you think that Angry Birds is a good time, Cut the Rope may just blow it out of the water!

Cute things of course, typically warrant merchandise. While Angry Birds tends to go a little over the top with things (it’s hard to turn a corner without seeing those birds on EVERYTHING), Cut the Rope merchandise has tended to be much more subtle. Now, just in time for the holidays, we’re getting some new, great looking plushies of Om Nom, Cut the Rope’s adorable star.

Looks like we’ll be getting all kinds of new goodies, from tiny micro figurines, all the way up to 8″ plushies! Check them out below, along with their product descriptions right from distributors Round 5!

8” DJ Box Plush – The coolest Om Nom you’ve seen yet.  8 inches tall with large headphones and real Cut the Rope sound track songs.  Leave him on your bed, on your shelf, or even on your desk at school and he will be a hit with all your friends.  Get your groove on with DJ Box Om Nom.  MSRP: $14.99

These look like some great toys, at some great prices! As a Cut the Rope fan, I’ll likely be picking these up as soon as I see them in stores! US fans will be able to pick these up at Wal Mart, and Canadians will be headed to Toys R Us to fill their Om Nom needs. What do you think?

Remember Zod? He’s back! In toy form.

That’s right, Man of Steel baddie Zod has just has his big reveal, though likely not how Warner Brothers would have wanted. Two unfinished commercials depicting tie-in toys have been leaked online, and of course give us our first look at Zod, and an apparent robot army (I wonder if that will make it into the film).

Unfinished is a key word of course. These leaked ads are using footage from Superman Returns, and as these toys aren’t launching until Spring, there’s still a lot of time to flesh them out. Also, they’re toys, so it may not be an very accurate representation (I doubt the real Zod’s arms will be this stretchy)!

Check them out below! The first one doesn’t really look to have anything to do with the film, but look like pretty badass toys anyways.

Will you be picking up any of these?

New York Comic-Con is quickly approaching and DC Collectibles has revealed two new “con exclusive” products that will only be available for sale to those in attendance. Well, or the people on eBay that night.

The first of two being the Aardman Batman Action Figure designed by Rich Webber and sculpted by Phil Ramirez. Based on the popular shorts that are shown during the DC Nation block on Cartoon Network, this unique take on the caped crusader was created by the British brains behind the film “Wallace & Gromit.” Aardman Batman will take a $25 chunk out of your wallet.

Next up we’ve got another of the 3.75” two-pack action figure line that launched this year at San Diego Comic-Con. New York will feature DC Comics characters John Stewart and Atrocitus, for the price of $25.

This was a lot of fun! While wandering the floor at Comikaze, I discovered an entire Intellivison booth and met original game programmer Keith Robinson, who began creating games for Intellivision back in 1981! This episode is great for old school and new school gamers alike!

DC Comics introduced a brand new Green Lantern this Wednesday in Green Lantern #0. Simon Baz is a Muslim from Dearborn, Michigan, who leaves behind street racing to join the intergalactic police force. The character has only been around for a small period of time, the character was technically first introduced in DC Comic’s Free Comic Book Day issue, but he is already getting an action figure next spring. Take a look below.

Saw this and it was something that needed to be shared. Check out the toy below that totally gives away the ending to a certain movie. If you haven’t seen The Dark Knight Rises then you should probably NOT look. You’ve been warned.

This is a blurred vision of the toy, dumb dumb! The real picture is below.

SPOILER WARNING! SPOILER WARNING!

5 seconds left to get away? Ain’t no thang, The Batman’s got this!

Even with no release date, Skylanders Giants is poised to take all of our money. Still in need of two more Skylanders to complete my collection, Toys For Bob wants to tease us all with another character reveal.

This time, we have Swarm. If you are into bios:

SWARM
Bring the Sting!
Element: AIR
Character Type: Giant
Bio: Swarm was once a prince from a proud race of mysterious insect warriors that had built their entire civilization inside a giant honeycombed pyramid. Growing up as one of the 9,000 members of the royal family, he was never permitted to leave the hive. But unlike his brethren, there was a magical quality to Swarm that caused him to grow much larger than the rest of his kind. No longer able to fit amongst the rest of his colony, the young prince broke the long standing tradition and stepped out into the open world – where his size and strength would be put to good use in the legendary battle between the Giants and the Arkeyans.

Check out the vignette of Swarm in action and start making that list now of what Skylanders Giants you need to get when the game release date is announced.

Since I am like most out there trying to still find Skylanders figures in stock at your local stores, having the last 3 in the 32 set come out now is just plain mean. I might as well just camp out at Toys R Us to acquire the Skylanders I am still missing as well as the new ones, Camo, Warnado and Wham-Shell.

Check out the character vignettes to see what will make you check eBay again and cry at how ridiculous the prices are.
