Briefly: Already feeling mixed thoughts about next year’s Terminator: Genisys? A new batch of images for the film, along with a tiny teaser for a trailer set to release tomorrow, have been released online… and they may not sway you in the positive direction.

Sure, the images look very promo-y, and certainly don’t appear to be stills from the finished product, but to my untrained eye, they look super cheesy, which I’m not overly looking for in an anticipated Terminator film.

The teaser definitely looks better than any of these promo images, but it’s also really hard to judge something from 15 seconds of choice footage (not that we should really be judging the film at this point anyways).

In any case, take a look at everything below, and be sure to let us know if you’re looking forward to the film! Don’t forget to check back tomorrow for Terminator: Genisys‘ full trailer!

The information train has left the station and is cruising along at a wicked pace. We got our first taste a week ago, then a series of screenshots were leaked, AND NOW THIS! A TRAILER!

I am getting more and more hype for this everyday. To actually see the characters moving, and talking (just off screen), has got me PUMPED!

Let’s hope this game ships soon!

Be it on purpose or accident, the first of in game screenshots have hit our digital desks, and they look just as I expected them too! They obviously have that “Telltale” (see what I did there?) flair, and the actors likenesses seem to be accurately depicted here.

No word yet on how these accurate depictions will sound, most likely we won’t have the actual actors, but a strikingly accurate simulation.

We still don’t have a release date, but they’re still shooting for end of 2014.

Briefly: It’s been nearly a year since Telltale Games revealed adventure titles based on both Borderlands and Game of Thrones, and while the company has kept details scarce on both games thus far, they’ve just blown the lid open… at least on Tales from the Borderlands.

The just-released two and a half minute trailer should do a damn good job of exciting Borderlands fans, and the developer has also revealed some casting and release info for the game, which is set to debut very soon.

As for casting, here’s what Telltale has revealed so far:

The season will feature Troy Baker as Rhys, Laura Bailey as Fiona, Chris Hardwick as Vaughn, Erin Yvette as Sasha, Patrick Warburton as Vasquez, and Dameon Clarke as Handsome Jack. Additional casting details from the season are yet to be announced.

In the game, you’ll “play as Rhys, a Hyperion ‘suit’ with dreams of being the next Handsome Jack, and Fiona, a Pandoran con artist looking to score her biggest ever swindle. Thrown together as unwilling partners in an adventure to recover cash they both think is theirs, their journey will take you on a wild ride where gangsters, bandit lords, and Vault Hunters are just some of the obstacles you’ll encounter, in this new take on the award-winning universe created by Gearbox Software.”

The season will run Telltale’s standard five-episodes (a standard which the Game of Thrones game is actually set to break) and will release on PS4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360, PC/Mac, and later iOS and Android devices. A season pass will cost a cool (and more than fair) $19.99US ($24.99 on PC/Mac), and as always, will get you each and every episode as it releases.

I’ve only recently discovered (and fallen in love with) the Borderlands series, and as a huge fan of essentially everything that Telltale touches, I cannot wait to make some uncomfortable choices in this world. Take a look at the first trailer below, and we’ll be sure to share more info as soon as we have it.

Briefly: It’s hard to believe that it was nearly a year ago that Telltale Games announced that they were working on an adventure game based on Game of Thrones. That was all the way back in December of 2013, and as always, Winter is coming once again.

Since then, Telltale has been pretty scarce on details for the upcoming adventure, just recently noting that the game will have players playing as five different characters, all from the same family, and that your choices “will affect everyone in the family.”

Today, Telltale teased us all with an official image from the series, revealing that the first episode is titled Iron From Ice, and will be part of the titles six-episode first season (of which I’m sure there will be more).

Take a look at the image below, and be sure to let us know what you want to see from the game! The first episode is set to debut before the end of 2014!

Production on the fifth season of HBO series Game of Thrones has just begun, but tragedy has struck behind the scenes. Actor J.J. Murphy, who was portraying Ser Denys Mallister, the eldest member of the Night’s Watch, collapsed on set and passed away. He was 86.

It is currently unknown what actions the studio will take in regards to his character. He was four days into filming his scenes, so anyone can run wild speculating what executive decisions will be made.

J.J. Murphy was largely unknown in the United States, but his death has occurred after “a long and full career,” says his agent Philip Young. Murphy, even at 86, was still active and held membership with Equity, the British actors’ union. Since the 1940’s, Murphy was regularly seen in the Northern Irish theater scene, but when he was called in to the HBO show, Young claims Murphy was “absolutely delighted.”

Briefly: I’m really looking forward to the next Terminator film. It’s got a stellar cast consisting of Arnold Schwarzenegger (of course), Emilia Clarke, Jai Courtney, Jason Clarke, JK Simmons, and many more. Thor: The Dark World director Alan Taylor is at the helm, and the film aims to be the start of a new trilogy that could not possibly end as poorly as the last one.

I’m still excited for the film, even if today it received an official, stupid subtitle. The rumoured title has been Terminator: Genesis for some time now, but now the film has officially been named Terminator: Genisys.

Yeah, I’m sure it’s got something to do with some tech company or similar entity, but still, it sounds pretty silly.

Production on the film has also wrapped, so longtime Terminator Arnold Schwarzenegger said the following on his official Facebook page (try not to read it in his voice):

Hasta la vista, baby.
I want to thank the cast and crew of Terminator Genisys for a fantastic shoot. It was challenging, it was fun, and it was rewarding. From our director to the producers, from the camera team to catering, from visual effects to hair and makeup – we couldn’t have done it without you. I can’t wait to see our finished project and I know we’ll remind the fans why they fell in love with the Terminator. On July 1, 2015, I’ll be back.

Are you a fan of the title? Are you excited for the film? Sound out below!

Briefly: Game of Thrones fourth season premiered to HBO Go crashing numbers just two days ago… so HBO, naturally, renewed the series for not one, but two more seasons.

According to the press release, “The season four premiere of GAME OF THRONES on Sunday, April 6 (9:00-10:00 p.m. ET/PT) was watched by an average of 6.6 million viewers, making it HBO’s most-watched program since the finale of “The Sopranos” in 2007 (11.9 million viewers). The premiere improved 52% over last season’s premiere and 23% over last season’s finale. GAME OF THRONES added an additional 1.6 million viewers from the 11:00 p.m. and 1:00 a.m. replays, for a gross audience of 8.2 million viewers for the night. Season three of the series had an average gross audience of 14.4 million viewers per episode.”

That’s a big increase.

HBO Programming President Michael Lombardo stated that “GAME OF THRONES is a phenomenon like no other. David Benioff and D.B. Weiss, along with their talented collaborators, continue to surpass themselves, and we look forward to more of their dazzling storytelling.”

Are you looking forward to (at least) two more years in Westeros? What did you think of Sunday’s premiere? Sound out below!

Briefly: Following the humorous featurette from a few days back, HBO has just released a brand new trailer for the next season of Game of Thrones.

The video clocks in at just over a minute and a half, and seems to include mostly new, mostly exciting new footage, so take a look at the video below, and be sure to let us know what you hope to see when Game of Thrones premieres on April 6th!

Briefly: We’re now just a few weeks away from the highly anticipated premiere of Game of Thrones fourth season, and HBO has yet again released a new featurette for the series.

This time, it’s not a featurette about the upcoming episodes, but instead about how the series came to be in the first place. As the description reads, the video offers a “brief and entertaining history of how the HBO series came to be. Executive Producers and Writers David Benioff and Dan Weiss tell the entertaining and sometimes hard-to-believe journey of how the hugely popular book series are/were made into a smash HBO series. Narrated by Charles Dance, viewers get an insider’s look as only the creators could tell.”

Take a look at the featurette below, and let us know if you’re looking forward to the new season. Game of Thrones premieres on April 6th!

http://youtu.be/L2p9dRl0yYo

Briefly: The cast of Alan Taylor’s Terminator: Genesis (or whatever it ends up being called) is growing once more.

THR has reported that Spider-Man‘s J.K. Simmons has joined the project as “a weary and alcoholic detective who has followed a bizarre case involving Sarah Connor and robots for more than three decades.”

Little information on the film has been revealed at this point, but we of course know that Arnold Schwarzenegger, Emilia Clarke, and Jason Clarke are starring in the film, which will hit theatres on June 26th, 2015.

Are you looking forward to the reboot? Would you have preferred that they’d continued Salvation? Sound out below!

Briefly: During last night’s True Detective finale (which I haven’t had a chance to watch yet, so shhh), HBO debuted a chill-inducing new trailer for next month’s premiere of Game of Thrones.

The new preview features a ton of new footage (including a very brief glimpse of a dragon), and definitely gives us more plot than the previous trailers contained. As always, everything looks very impressive, and the performances are super affective.

Take a look at the preview below, and let us know if you’re looking forward to the new season. Take a look at the video below, and be sure to let us know what you think. Game of Thrones will premiere its fourth season on April 6th!

Briefly: Following last week’s 15-minute behind-the-scenes look at Game of Thrones fourth season, HBO has debuted a new trailer for the upcoming episodes.

I haven’t yet finished season three, so I’m not too sure what I’ve missed, but I’m sure glad to know that Joffrey is still alive. I love that guy (not).

Briefly: Following the behind-the-scenes look that was released last week, HBO has debuted a near 15-minute sneak peak at what’s to come on Game of Thrones.

I haven’t actually watched the video myself, as I haven’t yet finished season three and I’m not too keen on spoiling it. The description reads that the video “features clips from upcoming episodes, behind-the-scenes-footage, interviews with talent, and cast members’ answers to questions posed by fans.”

Take a look at the video below, and let us know what you hope to see this season! Game of Thrones premieres on April 6th.

Briefly: Following the trailer that premiered back in January, HBO has just debuted a new behind-the-scenes featurette for the fourth season of Game of Thrones.

I haven’t yet finished season three, so I’m not too sure what I’ve missed, but I’m sure glad to know that Joffrey is still alive. I love that guy (not).

Take a look at the featurette below, and let us know what you hope to see in the upcoming episodes! Game of Thrones premieres on April 6th, and we’ll be sure to keep you up-to-date with further marketing from the season!

Briefly: Following a small batch of Vine teasers earlier this week, HBO has just released the first trailer for the next season of Game of Thrones.

I haven’t yet finished season three, so I’m not too sure what I’ve missed, but I’m sure glad to know that Joffrey is still alive. I love that guy (not).

Take a look at the trailer below, and let us know what you hope to see in the upcoming episodes! Game of Thrones premieres on April 6th! We’ll be sure to keep you up-to-date with further marketing from the season!

Now, I really need to catch up.

Briefly: It seems like just yesterday that the premiere date of Game of Thrones fourth season was revealed (it was), and now we have a few tiny, tiny teasers for the upcoming episodes.

The videos all come from the official Game of Thrones Vine account (meaning that each teaser is less than six seconds long), and all end with the announcement of when we’ll be able to see a full trailer, which is this Sunday, January 12th, at 8:58PM Eastern.

Take a look at the teasers below, and let us know what you’re hoping to see on Sunday!

Briefly: It’s been a long, cold Winter since the third season of Game of Thrones concluded all the way back in June. You had plenty of time to catch up on George R.R. Martin’s series of novels (but you didn’t, did you), and now we know just when TV’s most epic drama will return for a fourth season.

It’s a little later than we’d hoped (seeing as, well, we want it right now), and even a little later than last year’s premiere at the end of March. We can all return to Westeros on April 6th at 9PM.

What do you hope to see in season four? Some of the slow-burn events that have been building since the pilot, maybe? Have you recovered from the red wedding yet? Sound out and speculate below!

Briefly: The mother of dragons is now the mother of John Connor.

That’s right. Game of Thrones Emilia Clarke has just been cast in Alan Taylor’s Terminator reboot as Sarah Connor.

This is the first official casting news from the project aside from Arnold Schwarzenegger’s return to the franchise. Deadline reports that Zero Dark Thirty‘s Jason Clarke is still in negotiations for the role of John Connor.

We’ll be sure to keep you up to date on the reboot as further casting is announced. The film is slated to hit theatres in July 2015, so I’d imagine that we’ll hear more very soon.

Do you think the Clarke will be able to stand up to the likes of Linda Hamilton and Lena Heady, or is there someone else you’d rather have seen in the role? Sound out below!

Briefly: It was just yesterday that Telltale Games confirmed that they were working on a game set in the Game of Thrones universe, and now the developer has released the title’s first teaser trailer.

The trailer features no gameplay, and doesn’t even reveal what the game is about, but it’s still oddly exciting. If you’ve played last year’s phenomenal game based on The Walking Dead, then you know just how incredible Game of Thrones could turn out.

Take a look at the trailer below, and let us know if you’re excited! Telltale’s Game of Thrones will release sometime in 2014!

http://youtu.be/4sd0KWkplHA

Briefly: We’ve barely begun The Wolf Among Us, and The Walking Dead: Season Two hasn’t even started, but Telltale Games has just revealed two new projects that are coming down the pipeline.

First, remember that Game of Thrones game that was rumoured late last month? The developer has just confirmed the title with IGN. No info about the game has been revealed at this time, but Telltale states that it will function “similar to other Telltale games” and feature “big battles” done “in a Telltale way.”

Excited?

Next up, at tonight’s VGX awards the company revealed Tales from the Borderlands, a new episodic series set in the Borderlands universe. Details in the project were scarce, but the game is said to include both new and classic Borderlands characters. Take a look at the announcement trailer below.

http://youtu.be/RPUKNDB82UQ

The more Telltale games that I can play, the better! I guess I need to check out the Borderlands games first though, don’t I? How do you feel about the newly-announced games?

Briefly: Telltale Games is already working on some fantastic games based on properties like Fables and The Walking Dead, but could George R.R. Martin’s Game of Thrones soon be added to the mix?

IGN has learned from multiple sources that the developer is indeed working on a Game of Thrones adventure title.

Of course, nothing is official at this point, and Telltale was clearly not ready to share, stating that “We get these sorts of rumors about what we could be working on next cropping up all the time. Officially we have no comment.”

No comment doesn’t mean no, right?

Would you be into a Game of Thrones game developed by Telltale? Are you looking forward to season two of The Walking Dead? Sound out below!

With all the booming new stores on this little thing called the internet, it can be difficult to sort through all the possibilities for purchase. So let Geekscape be your guide. In the traditions of old, we’ll help you figure out what to take to make it a little less dangerous.

“A new lease on life for books.”

Ever wanted to carry your favorite book with you without lugging around the whole thing? Now you can, and not in a shiny, new book smell-less, electronic reader format, either. Retro Beads & Bangles offers you a recycling opportunity that looks adorable AND literate. Using book pages to make jewelry is not unique to the internet (as you’ll see below), but Retro also branches into brooches, bracelets, the using of sheet music, and old board-game pieces to make unique and specialized accessories for every day. These beautiful earrings, necklaces, and cufflinks immortalize famous names and phrases from classic — and currently popular — literature for a fair-ish every day price.

Shipping policies are not listed, so customer may beware — or want to read the 76 customer reviews before deciding.

“What a novel idea!”

Pretty Little Charms, also out of the UK, offers similarly recycled book jewelry. The categories featured here are Game Of Thrones, JK Rowling, Mortal Instruments, Divergent + Twilight, The Hunger Games, Narnia + LOTR, Alice in Wonderland, Pride and Prejudice, Sherlock + Classics, and Dictionary/Other. The charms feature different shapes, as well as colors: some heart-shaped in silver, others a beautiful copper with a steampunk-like accessory hanging off of the main jewelry. Compasses accompany sections of map and silver wolf heads sit next to “direwolf”. It’s all very appropriate and well placed. Pretty Little Charms also offers rings in pairs, offering a chance to celebrate your favorite geeky ship either with your special someone or all on your own if you’re greedy.

The charms that come with the sections of words, and the choice illustrations for others, are really what makes Pretty Little Charms’ selection glow. You can carry your favorite character or phrase along with you in stylish fashion.

All items are $3 shipping for the first item and free for additional items. There is a fair return policy: anything can be returned in exchange, except for earrings (hygiene!) and you foot the shipping.

Pretty Little Charms would like you to note that these items are NOT waterproof. They are made from books! Therefore, care should be taken when you’re deciding where and how to wear them.

“Wearable literature.”

If jewelry isn’t your thing, then head over to Storiarts, where you can acquire pages of classic literature printed onto a scarf, or writing gloves. How fancy would you feel if you owned something called “writing gloves”? Tori Tissell produces these wonders by hand, with the text chosen from such pieces as “Pride & Prejudice” and “Sherlock Holmes”. You may also custom order if you have your own choice of words (book paragraph, music, poetry, etc) prepared. Storiarts’ scarves look gorgeous and, as they say, will make you feel both “warm and intelligent”. Just be sure that your chosen text is not copyrighted and can be reprinted and sold without bringing terrible consequences down upon Tissell’s head. That’s the polite thing to do.

All items are shipped via the USPS and tracking is available. Storiarts accepts returns or exchanges within ONE week of delivery, but if you do a custom order then a full refund cannot be granted, so choose wisely. And not poooorly.

HBO today released an awesome, exhilarating, exciting new trailer for the third season of Game of Thrones.

This new preview offers up plenty of new footage, but unfortunately HBO still looks to be keeping the White Walkers a mystery. Hopefully we’ll see more of them and the Night’s Watch when Game of Thrones returns on March 31st.

Watch the new trailer below, and let us know how excited you are for the series to return!
