Briefly: TGS is now on in full swing, and earlier this morning Konami’s own Hideo Kojima took to the stage to give fans a brand-new gameplay demo of the upcoming Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain.

The demo showcases gameplay in the Ground Zeroes portion of the game, and as you’d expect, things look freaking phenomenal. Everything’s in Japanese, so I’m not really sure exactly what’s going on, but the video is definitely worth a watch.

Take a look at the new demo below, and let us know if you’re looking forward to the title! Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain launches in 2014!

Way back in December we showed you the trailer for a mysterious upcoming new game titled Phantom Pain. We, and pretty much the entire internet, speculated that this was actually the next game in the Metal Gear franchise. Well…we were right! Check out the trailer for Metal Gear Solid 5!

As always I’m left impressed. No release date or anything else has been posted, but we can expect this to ship out on the PS4 at least.

Way back in August we broke the story that the team who created the award winning L.A. Noire would be making a new game set in 1930’s China.

Well no new details on the game have been released yet, but a German gaming website was able to announce that the game will be released sometime in 2015. Now this is nowhere near as long as the seven year development for L.A. Noire. I have faith that Team Bondi (now KMM Interactive) will be able to make a spiritual successor to one of my all time favorite games.

The fourth expansion for the online military shooter, Battlefield 3, has been teased a few times. With Premium members getting a peak at some of the post earthquake environments, and yesterday the lead community dev posted a pic on Reddit showing off the newest crossbows (Hint: it’s the banner. Up there!). Today we get an official announcement trailer. Take a peak with me!

“So whats the deal with the place all fucked up?” you ask? WELL, During the single player campaign an earthquake hits Tehran, separating you from your squad and really making a mess of the whole place. If you saw the Battlefield 3 trailer from a million years ago, you can see a nice large building falling over.

Well, “Aftermath” wants to expand on that disaster. Maps will bring players into places that have recently been destroyed, making gamers look at approaching challenges differently. I am assuming the new game mode is one where players duke it out while there are active tremors going on in the battlefield.

The release schedule is:

PlayStation 3 Premium members: November 27
Xbox 360 and PC Premium members: December 4
PlayStation 3 players: December 11
Xbox 360 and PC players: December 18

By now you’ve played a SHIT TON of Borderlands 2. You’ve played New Game +, twice. You’ve beaten Terramorphous a stack of times. “Now what?” you ask. Well now it’s time to put your pirate boots on and go hunt for treasure! AND YOU CAN DO THAT TODAY!

The just released DLC for Borderlands 2 , Captain Scarlett and Her Pirate Booty hits stores today. Check out the trailer for the expansion below.

Deep Silver said that full details on the Dead Island sequel would be released during PAX, well they gave us a little peaky peaky at some screens to go along with some idea of what the story will be all about. Also this trailer.

Well that trailer was really nothing. What you really want to see are the narrative notes. Well…

Deep Silver say this isn’t a sequel after all. Nonono! It is in fact a spin-off! At the end of the first game, the survivors escape via helicopter and land on a military ship and are whisked off to safety… until another storm hits and the crew of the ship all get infected. The 2nd storm creates new mutations and zombie types on the island, and the four main characters rescue ship crashes and they wash back up on Palanai Island and have to deal with the new horde.

Really these are the four most unlucky assholes on the planet. They get rescued, new ship crashes and they wind back up on the awful place they just left. This is Twilight Zone level torture.

Additional bits are that a fifth character will be in the game, and that players from Dead Island can import their older characters. Riptide will feature a new game engine and more animated weather which will allow for flooding and other environment changes. Not much else was announced but you can expect more during PAX. Meanwhile take a look at these screenshots!

Dead Island Riptide is planned for a 2013 release on Xbox, PS3 and PC.

Alongside the fantastic movie confirmation, the 25th anniversary event had a few tasty treats for gamers as well as film fans. A live demo for the new Metal Gear game (Called “Ground Zeroes”) was shown. No footage was released online but this image was leaked.

One amazing person was tweeting details as they happened during the demo. Mark MacDonald was there sharing everything juicy as it happened. Some of the important details were:

Demo of “Metal Gear Solid Ground Zeroes”, started w cutscene (all realtime), went into gameplay, open world, night, raining, base. AMAZING

Snake crawled @ avoiding searchlights, killed guard, rode jeep, called in heli for evac. Sounds like MG, but the scale & atmosphere… Wow.

So from the little bit we do know is that this could be an open world style game with weather playing a big portion in the stealth. 4Gamer.net was able to confirm some of the voice actors from previous Metal Gear games. Specifically the Japanese actor for Miller from Peacewalker.

No other news yet, but hopefully PAX will shed more light on this new game.

Mojang, the little developer who brought us the JUGGERNAUT Minecraft, has released a gameplay trailer for their next game Scrolls along with an official website.

We finally have some solid footage and info to make our decisions on. The press release on the site gives more info on their Alpha test.

We are rapidly approaching the closed alpha of Scrolls. Although this alpha version will be far from a feature complete version of the game, it will include multiplayer matches, single player matches vs AI and the Deck Builder, where you can build your decks out of the 100+ scrolls that currently exist in the game.

As we get closer to a stable build, we will stop the closed alpha, and move to an open beta, where you will be able to buy the game at a reduced price and with some added benefits (more about that later).

At that point, we will also look to include the single player world, where you can explore and do battle to earn new scrolls to your collection.

Keep in mind, that the beta will not be feature complete. We will still have a big bag of goodies that we plan to include over time, such as an auction house where you may buy or sell scrolls from each other and additional features in the world such as character customization, items, quests and so on. If you’re wondering why we would release a game that’s obviously not finished, the reason is simple: We want your feedback in good time to help us shape Scrolls to be the next big online Collectible Card Game!

So if you’re curious enough to pick up a copy of the game, please don’t be shy. Hit the forums and help us out!

Check out more on the game on their official site HERE. Be careful though, you might get this and Skyrim confused.
