One of the most unique games to grace the 7th generation of game consoles was Rockstar Games and Team Bondi’s L.A. Noire. The game became infamous for having one of the craziest development cycles, as well as shutting down the developer Team Bondi 5 months after release. Aside from the controversy, the game was pretty much universally praised by critics and fans alike.

Now, the game is getting another chance to shine. This morning, Rockstar announced that the game will be heading to next gen platforms November 14th. This includes your usual suspects like PS4 and Xbox One, but the big bombshell is that the game will also be heading to the Nintendo Switch the same day as the other 2!

This is big news as there hasn’t been a Rockstar game on a Nintendo system since 2009’s Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars for Nintendo DS.  Aside from that, they also announced L.A. Noire The VR Case Files for the HTC Vive. Are you excited to play L.A. Noire wherever you go? Do you want to see the series make a comeback? Tell us in the comments below!

Way back in August we broke the story that the team who created the award winning L.A. Noire would be making a new game set in 1930’s China.

Well no new details on the game have been released yet, but a German gaming website was able to announce that the game will be released sometime in 2015. Now this is nowhere near as long as the seven year development for L.A. Noire. I have faith that Team Bondi (now KMM Interactive) will be able to make a spiritual successor to one of my all time favorite games.

In an attempt to prep our bodies for the greatness that GTA V will be, Rockstar Games is releasing an epic collection of games.

November 6th gamers can pick up Rockstar Games Collection Edition 1 for the tiny fee of $59.99. This mega pack includes:

  • Red Dead Redemption
  • GTA IV: Episodes from Liberty City. Which is two complete games in one.
  • L.A. Noire (my Game of the year 2011)
  • Midnight Club LA Complete Edition

This is an amazing deal for gamers. I haven’t played three of these and picking them all up for the price of one (1) new game is pretty rad.

Check your local game shoppe on November 6th. RGCE1 will be on both Xbox 360 and PS3

Team Bondi, that crack team from Sydney that brought us my 2011 game of the year L.A. Noire, have just announced their next game: “Whore of the Orient”.

WOTO, will take place in 1936 Shanghai and will cover a team of international police who are trying to keep something covered up before things get out of hand.

From the official release:

Shanghai, 1936. Whore of the Orient. Paris of the East. The most corrupt and decadent city on the planet, where anything can be had or done for the right price. Plaything of Western powers who greedily exploit the Chinese masses. Boiling pot of Chinese nationalism, with the Kuomintang ruthlessly trying to suppress Communism and the labour movement. Home to the International Police Force, a group of Western cops hopelessly trying to keep the lid on and keep the peace.

From the development team who brought you L.A. Noire and The Getaway, along with the Academy Award winning film production team of Kennedy Miller Mitchell comes a completely new and original IP being developed for next generation games consoles and PC.

The Getaway, famous for its photo-realistic look, strong narrative and uncompromising gameplay style, sold over 4 million units on the PlayStation 2. The release of L.A. Noire set the quality bar even higher selling over 5 million units. L.A. Noire was critically heralded as a breakthrough for interactive storytelling and was the first game ever to be invited to be shown at New York’s world renowned Tribeca Film Festival. L.A. Noire has gone on to become the UK’s fastest selling original IP – a title previously held by The Getaway – and a worldwide number one hit. Using award winning animation technology to capture every actor’s facial performance in astonishing detail, L.A. Noire combined breathtaking action with true detective work to deliver an unprecedented interactive experience.

Not a lot about the game itself was released. It will be on next gen consoles, and PC and from the looks of the image sent out will be a dark gritty adventure. This gamer can only hope that it will be the L.A. Noire “2” that I’ve been craving. We will keep you up to date when more info is announced.
