Been wondering when you’d see the first footage from Jeff Wadlow’s KICK-ASS 2? We recently learned that they had pushed the film’s release date back, but that doesn’t mean that they’ve pushed the trailer back for the upcoming film based on Mark Millar and John Romita Jr.’s comic series. The first trailer for the film will be premiering next Wednesday, March 13th to be exact, and has been classified at just over two minutes in length.

KICK-ASS 2 is set to hit theaters August 16, 2013.

It was revealed not too long ago that Michael Bay was going to be taking the Transformers franchise in a new and fresh direction with this new trilogy. This also mean that we would be getting a fresh cast for the film which would include Mark Wahlberg and Jack Reynor to start with. However, it seems that Michael Bay may want one cast member to appear as the lone link between the two trilogies. While speaking at SXSW actor Josh Duhamel revealed:

Transformers

“[Michael] said he wants to put me in it someplace. I don’t know if he was just saying that because he had me on the phone and he felt obligated or what, but, you know what? I got to do three of those. It changed my career, it changed my life getting to be a part of something that big, so I’m grateful for even doing the first three of them.”

From the sounds of it, it seems that Bay may have a small part in mind for Duhamel’s William Lennox. The character was definitely one of the better members of the human cast of the first three films and would be a great way for the director to link the two trilogies together.

Last night we saw the debut of a new poster for the film and now the second theatrical trailer has been released for M. Night Shyamalan’s upcoming sci-fi film After Earth. The post-apocalyptic film, which stars Will Smith and son Jaden, sees a father and son work together  to survive on a planet that humanity once called home.

In the near future, humanity was forced to abandon the planet forever after cataclysmic events, and they reestablished mankind on the planet Nova Prime, light years away from Earth, and managed to rebuild society. Earth was left in its prime state, and continued to live on its own. 1,000 years later, a crash-landing of a small ship leaves teenager Kitai Raige and his father, army General Cypher Raige stranded. With Cypher critically injured, Kitai must embark on a perilous journey to signal for help so they can return to Nova Prime, facing uncharted terrain, evolved animal species that now rule the planet, and an unstoppable alien creature that escaped during the crash. The father and son must learn to work together and learn to trust one another if they want any chance of escaping Earth and returning home.

After Earth is set to hit theaters June 7th.

There was quite a bit of buzz when it was rumored that Marvel was planning on doing a live-action adaptation of Planet Hulk as part of their “Phase Three” plans. It now appears according to Bruce Banner himself, actor Mark Ruffalo, that Marvel currently has no plans at the moment for a stand alone Hulk film. Ruffalo tweeted:

While this doesn’t mean that there’s no chance of ever seeing a Planet Hulk film, it definitely does put the possibility of it being a part of Marvel’s “Phase Three” plans further in doubt. There’s definitely a chance that Marvel could indeed have someone working on a Planet Hulk script as an option that they could pursue, but it doesn’t necessarily mean we will ever see it. We’re just going to have to wait until 2015 to see what Marvel has in store for the future of the green behemoth.

Hoping to find out how Phil Coulson survived the events of The Avengers in Shane Black’s Iron Man 3?  During a roundtable Q&A for the upcoming Marvel Studios film, Kevin Fiege was asked whether or not Tony Stark knows that the fan-favorite Agent is alive. Fiege responded with:

Does Tony know that?  No.

Well, looks like we’re going to have to wait until Joss Whedon’s pilot for S.H.I.E.L.D. airs on ABC this summer to find out how Phil survived the battle of New York.

Earlier today we saw the debut of the full-length trailer for Shane Black’s Iron Man 3, and now Marvel has released an alternate international trailer for the film. There’s been numerous rumors regarding Carrie Fisher returning for J.J. Abrams Star Wars: Episode VII, and the actress herself has even been asked about it on a number of occasions. However, she hasn’t really given a straight forward answer regarding the question. That was until now. In an interview with Palm Beach Illustrated the actress has finally confirmed her involvement with the next chapter in the Star Wars saga.

Q: Disney is going to continue the Star Wars saga, producing movies set to hit theaters starting in 2015. Can you confirm whether you’ll reprise the role of Princess Leia?

A: Yes.

Pretty straight forward, right? The actress also revealed where she thinks Leia is going to be at these days:

“Elderly. She’s in an intergalactic old folks’ home [laughs]. I just think she would be just like she was before, only slower and less inclined to be up for the big battle.”

With Carrie Fisher signing on for the film it shouldn’t be too long until we get confirmation regarding Mark Hamill and Harrison Ford returning as well.

Star Wars: Episode VII is currently said to be hitting theaters in 2015, however no official release date has been set at the moment.

It was rumored that this title would be called Man Of Steel, but it appears those rumors were incorrect. Move over Django, because coming this June we will see the debut of Superman Unchained.

Sure, we’ve heard plenty of rumors regarding Warner Bros. planned Justice League film. But this time around, these rumors actually makes sense. According to Latino Review’s El Mayimbe, Warner Bros. has locked in (or is in talks with) Christopher Nolan, who is a producer on Man Of Steel, to produce their upcoming Justice League film alongside Zack Snyder.

Additionally, word is that Snyder’s Man Of Steel is receiving nothing but massive praise and Warner Bros. wants the director to return to direct Justice League as well. This does seem like it would be something that they would be doing after the recent news that Warner Bros. has decided to toss out Will Beall’s script for the film. Word is that they may pursue having David Goyer work on a script alongside Christopher Nolan for the film. But, that’s not the biggest part of this news at all. So, ever since the film was first announce, what has fans number one concern been when it came to this film? Well, that would be Batman and what Warner Bros was planning to do when it came to the character.

22811

With Warner Bros. bringing on Nolan to produce, they’re hoping that he will also be able to convince Christian Bale to come on and reprise the role of Bruce Wayne/Batman in Justice League. This would then result in establishing a DC Cinematic Universe right off the bat and remove confusion regarding a new actor taking up the role. If Bale does come on, it could mean we may actually get an answer regarding the ending of The Dark Knight Rises. So, it’s a win-win situation here if this turns out to be true.

Superman -new_closeup

Plus, who doesn’t want to see Bale and Cavill teaming up on the big screen? Bale himself even stated that if Christopher Nolan asked him to do a fouth film, he’d more than excited to do it. Unlike all the negative news we’ve heard surrounding this project, and there has been plenty, this is actually a bit of good news and appears that Warner Bros. may actually be heading in the right direction with this project. For now though, this one is definitely falling in the rumor department until we get some form of official announcement. Be sure to check back and see if we light up the Bat signal regarding this one.

Director Bryan Singer has already brought back a number of actors from the original X-Men trilogy for X-Men: Days Of Future Past, and one of the most frequently asked questions was if  we would see Halle Berry returning for the next film.

We are still yet to learn the full cast of Bryan Singer’s highly anticipated X-Men: Days Of Future Past, and there’s word that we will be learning even more cast additions very soon. Director Bryan Singer has revealed one of first of those cast additions is Award winning French actor Omar Sy, the 35 year old star of the critically acclaimed The Intouchables.

Now it’s time for the speculation to begin regarding just what role the actor will have in the film. Due to time travel being involved in the plot, could we possibly see the big screen debut of Lucas Bishop?

X-Men: Days Of Future Past is set to hit theaters July 18, 2014.

Sam Raimi was in London today to attend a Meet the Filmmakers event for his latest film OZ The Great And Powerful, and as you would expectthere were some Evil Dead questions asked. Someone asked if the director had any plans for a fourth movie in the series, that would take place after Army Of Darkness, and surprisingly Raimi replied with:

“I would love to make Evil Dead 4. My brother and I plan to work on the script this summer.”

There’s been rumors about plans for a fourth movie in the franchise for quite some time and many had assumed that these plans were scapped after they revealed this year’s remake of Evil Dead. Maybe Fede Alvarez’s film has renewed Raimi’s interest in a fourth installment in the franchise? The director most likely plans to work on the script with his brother Ivan, who was a co-writer on Army Of Darkness and Drag Me to Hell. Well, it appears that we may be seeing Ash Williams facing off against Deadites once again after all.

It has been revealed that there’s been a few release date changes for some upcoming releases.

2_guns (1)

Universal’s adaptation of the graphic novel 2 Guns, starring Mark Wahlberg and Denzel Washington, will now be hitting theaters two weeks earlier and opening on August 2nd, 2013 instead of the previously slated August 16th, 2013.

KICK-ASS-2_JIM-CARREY_AARON-JOHNSON

A bit of bad news though, because Universal has pushed Jeff Wadlow’s big screen adaptation of Mark Millar and John Romita Jr.’s Kick-Ass 2 from June to August 16th, 2013. This is most likely to keep it from having to compete with Legendary’s Man Of Steel.

50d5025a0f9f7_bilbo_desolation

Another movie that seems to have changed to avoid competition is The Hobbit: There And Back Again. The film was originally set to release on July 18th, 2014, which is the same date that X-Men: Days Of Future Past will hit theaters, but has now been moved back to December 17, 2014.

Bryan Singer has talked recently about his interest in bringing back Halle Berry as Storm in the highly-anticipated X-Men: Days Of Future Past, and it appears that it may happen after all. The actress recently spoke with Shadow And Act and may have revealed that she is in final negotiations to join the cast of the film. While the site doesn’t reveal any direct quotes from the actress, they go on to state:

Halle-Berry-Storm-X-Men-The-Last-Stand

“She did confirm to me that she would be returning in the role. Most likely. Practically 90% sure. And she nodded a lot too.

I can’t say, and neither could she say that it’s definitely a done deal, and that the contracts have all been signed, with all the “i”s dotted and the “t”s crossed.

She told me that are a few details that are still being negotiated which she couldn’t get into. But since she did tell me that the film starts shooting in April, it’s highly unlikely that talks are going to suddenly and horribly fall apart at this point.”

It definitely sounds like the actress is currently finishing up negotiations and may be the next cast addition Bryan Singer tweets about.

X-Men Days Of Future Past is set to hit theaters July 18, 2014.

The cast of Robert Rodriguez and Frank Miller’s Sin City: A Dame To Kill For is already huge. And there’s a chance it may be even bigger than we know. While talking about the upcoming film, actress Jamie King may have slipped up and revealed that there’s another actor appearing in the film who hadn’t been previously revealed.

“It was really fun because I got to do the part that was in the comic book. I was there the first day of filming when nobody else was cast except for Jessica Alba, Mickey [Rourke], and [Rosario Dawson]. None of the other people were cast so I was acting to someone’s hand. Imagine doing all your scenes with no one. Is it going to be Fassbender? Is it going to be Levitt? Brolin? It was a real trip.”

See, everyone that Jamie King listed has been revealed as being a part of the film. Everyone that is, except for Michael Fassbender, who she randomly named among a group  of the film’s cast members. Is there a chance that we may be seeing the actor making a surprise cameo in the film?

We’ll have to wait and find out when Sin City: A Dame To Kill For hits theaters October 2, 2013.

It was rumored not too long ago that Daniel Radcliffe was in talks to join the cast of the Max Landis penned and Paul McGuigan remake of Frankenstein. Well, it appears now that the British actor has entered into final negotiations to star as Igor in Fox’s “different take” on Mary Shelley’s classic story. One description of the character stated that we would see the character “pathologically dirty and dressed in old clowns clothing”, while the plot of the film promises to, “put a sci-fi take on this classic story about a creature produced through a scientific experiment.”

There is currently no release date set for the film.
