Briefly: It’s hard to believe that the next Star Trek feature hits theatres next month, isn’t it?

After a solid (yet seeming divisive) marketing campaign thus far, Paramount today debuted two brand new, slick as hell TV spots for the upcoming film. In Beyond, “the Enterprise crew explores the furthest reaches of uncharted space, where they encounter a mysterious new enemy who puts them and everything the Federation stands for to the test.”

The second spot is especially gorgeous… and also three times as long so it’s bound to be more exciting.

In any case, you can take a look at the videos below, and be sure to let us know if you’ll be lining up for Star Trek Beyond, when it hits theatres on July 22nd!

After being leaked, Paramount has decided to release the official teaser trailer for ‘Star Trek Beyond’  which was to be attached to ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’.

With the departure of J.J. Abrams from the project, Justin Lin (Fast and the Furious) steps in for the directorial duties. The teaser already showcases that by featuring a stunt using a primitive two-wheeled vehicle to the classical tune of Beastie Boy’s Sabotage. By the looks of it this going to be a very different movie. Reminiscent of when John Woo took over directing duties for Mission Impossible and changed the tone of the franchise. Which was a good thing in my opinion, the last film was very moody and had no life into it.

The returning ‘Star Trek Beyond’ cast line up includes Chris Pine as Captain James T. Kirk, Zachary Quinto as Spock, Simon Pegg as Scotty, Karl Urban as Leonard McCoy a.k.a. Bones, Zoe Saldana as Uhura, John Cho as Hikaru Sulu and Anton Yelchin as Pavel Chekov. Idris Elba will be portraying the films secret villain role.

‘Star Trek Beyond’ will warp into theaters on July 8, 2016.

Steve Trover wonder woman

Chris Pine has signed on to play Steve Trevor opposite Gal Gadot in ‘Wonder Woman’. Pine joins the DC Movie Universe in a multi-picture deal that includes sequel options. In the comics Steve Trevor serves is a primary love interest for Wonder Woman, but its being reported that he would have a much bigger role than just that in the movies.

‘Wonder Woman’ will be a part of “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” as shown in that awesome Comic Con trailer due out March 25, 2016.

The ‘Wonder Woman’ solo movie hits theaters on June 23, 2017.

It was revealed awhile back that the first theatrical trailer for Star Trek Into Darkness would be attached to screenings of The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, which hits theaters December 14th. You can also see a a nine-minute prologue with the IMAX 3D screenings of the film. But you won’t have to wait that long to get your first look at the film.

It’s been revealed that this Thursday, a one minute teaser trailer for the J. J. Abrams directed sequel be released online eight days ahead of the theatrical trailer’s debut. This trailer will be an online exclusive and something different than you can expect to see in theaters. The theaterical trailer for the film will run just over two minutes long.

Star Trek Into Darkness is set to hit theaters May 17th, 2013.

We’re still 7 months away from the release of JJ Abrams second Star Trek film, Star Trek Into Darkness, but it looks like you won’t have to wait quite that long to head back to the final frontier.

Bleeding Cool has revealed that a prequel comic titled Star Trek Countdown To Darkness will launch in January. The book will be a four issue mini-series that leads directly into the upcoming film.

Nothing is known about the plot at this point, but I’m sure we’ll get word of that soon!

The countdown to the motion picture event of 2013 begins here, in this blockbuster 4-issue prequel mini-series that sets the stage for the upcoming STAR TREK film! Like the best-selling STAR TREK: COUNTDOWN in 2009, this all-new series leads directly into the next movie, with a story by STAR TREK writer/producer Roberto Orci and Mike Johnson (STAR TREK ongoing series), and drawn by the original STAR TREK: COUNTDOWN artist, David Messina! STAR TREK 2013 PREQUEL is the can’t-miss lead-in to the new adventures of the Enterprise crew!

Will you be picking this one up? Are you looking forward to Star Trek Into Darkness?

Deadline is reporting that Ubisoft is engaged in discussions with studios to bring Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell to the big screen. First it was Warner Bros. that was in talks with Ubisoft, but now it would seem that Paramount is the front runner for the project.

Paramount seems like a natural fit for the Tom Clancy endorsed game due to the studio having previously adapted his books (The Hunt for Red October, Patriot Games, Clear and Present Danger, and Sum of All Fears) into films. The studio is currently in the process of rebooting the Jack Ryan franchise with Chris Pine and Thor director Kenneth Branagh attached to direct.

I’d like to see a movie version of Splinter Cell work but movies based on video games have a bad track record in Hollywood. Has there ever truely been a decent video game movie made? I thought Mortal Kombat was the best thing ever when I was a kid, but I was 11 and had terrible taste.

So what do you think, would you see a Splinter Cell movie? Who do you think would make a good Sam Fisher?
