Briefly: While we’ve been busy catching up with all the Comic-Con news, we missed the awesome first posters for Bryan Singer’s upcoming X-Men: Days of Future Past.

The posters feature a stylish, original design, that each showcase both versions of the portrayed characters. One image features both Michael Fassbender and Ian McKellen as Erik Lehnsherr, while the other spotlights James McAvoy and Patrick Stewart as Charles Xavier.

They’re both absolutely awesome images, and a great start to the film’s marketing. I can’t wait to see what comes next! Take a look at the posters below, and let us know what you think! X-Men: Days of Future Past hits theatres on July 18th, 2014.

Not really earth shattering news, but cool nonetheless, especially for fans excited about ‘Days of Future Past’ and the appearance of Magneto’s kids, Pietro and Wanda Maximoff. Magneto’s kids are showing up and director Bryan Singer just tweeted a picture of the family’s lovely abode, appropriately 70s style.

And we think it’s pretty awesome. Take a look:

Now, how could a family growing up together in such a quaint little house get so screwed up? I guess we’ll have to wait and see!

When Peter Dinklage joined the cast of X-Men: Days of Future Past back in February, fans went wild with speculation.

First, many thought Dinklage would portray the classic X-Man, Puck. It was soon revealed however, that he would instead be playing the film’s main antagonist. Speculation immediately shifted to Bolivar Trask, the scientist that would go on to create the infamous Sentinels.

Director Brian Singer recently tweeted a photo all but confirming that Dinklage would portray Trask in the film (just look at that ‘stache). Today, he revealed a new photo that further confirms the rumour. It’s not official until it’s announced of course, but we at least know for sure that Trask Industries will have a role in the film.

Check out Singers just-tweeted photo below, and let us know if you’re looking forward to the film! X-Men: Days of Future Past hits theatres on July 18th, 2014!

Bryan Singer sure loves his twitter.

After posting countless set photos, first looks, and other news, the X-Men: Days of Future Past director has revealed a late casting addition to the project. American Horror Story‘s Evan Peters has joined the film, and will play the ‘swiftest’ mutant around, Quicksilver.

Of course, The Avengers director Joss Whedon recently revealed that Quicksilver (and his sister, Scarlet Witch) would be a part of The Avengers 2. This is bound to cause some confusion among fans, seeing as each project is not only coming from a different team, but a different studio as well. My guess is that we’ll be seeing substantially different versions of Quicksilver between the two films.

Bryan Singer is on a roll. Just yesterday he gave us our first look at Peter Dinklage preparing for work on X-Men: Days of Future Past, and today it’s Jennifer Lawrence’s turn. The director has tweeted an image of Lawrence in full Mystique costume, and as always, she’s looking pretty bad-ass. The image is titled “First look: #JenniferLawrence as a vengeful #Mystique”, so it’s probably safe to speculate that she’s pretty unhappy about what happened with Xavier. I guess we’ll find out next Summer.

Back in February it was revealed that Peter Dinklage had joined the cast of Bryan Singer’s anticipated X-Men: Days of Future Past. Early rumours and speculation led many to believe that Dinklage would portray Puck, but it was quickly announced that he would be playing the film’s main antagonist.

Bryan Singer today tweeted an image of himself and Dinklage with the caption “Reviewing tomorrow’s work on the flight back to Montreal with #PeterDinklage”. Dinklage isn’t in costume, but it’s easy to see that he’ll be sporting quite the ‘stache. Take a look at the image below, and let us know who you think he’s playing!

During the game, actor Adan Canto, who may be known for his role on The Following, revealed via Twitter that he has joined the film’s impressive ensemble cast.

A few weeks back the actor revealed that he had a mystery project coming up and when asked by a fan if he could give a hint as to what the role was, Canto responded with:

Well, there are a few mutants that the actor could be playing but there’s a high chance that he could be playing the Brazilian mutant Roberto da Costa, aka Sunspot, who was featured in the original version of the X-Men: First Class script. We can’t wait to see the first footage of this film at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con.

While speaking with Collider to promote the upcoming season of AMC’s Mad Men, actress January Jones has confirmed that she will be in the group that will not returning for Bryan Singer’s X-Men: Days Of Future Past. So, that currently means that neither Azazel nor Emma Frost will be at Magneto’s side in the upcoming “inbetweequel”. There’s no word at the moment if we will see Zoe Kravitz or Alex Gonzalez return as Angel and Riptide, but at the moment it seems that Mystique will be Erik’s only returning companion. Could this mean we will be seeing an all-new Brotherhood Of Evil Mutants in the film?

Bryan Singer has put together a massive cast for the upcoming X-Men: Days Of Future Past.  However, we haven’t heard much regarding the currently missing members from X-Men: First Class. We do know now that Caleb Landry Jones, who played Banshee in the previous film, will not be returning for this one.

At this point, with filming set to begin very soon, we may have to rule out a number of the unannounced cast members of First Class returning for this film. But we’re hoping that a few do.

X-Men: Days Of Future Past is set to hit theaters July 18, 2014

Canadian website La Presse has learned that X-Men: Days Of Future Past has a brand new addition. No, not to the ever growing cast of the film. The website La Presse has received word that the Moving Picture Company (MPC), the team that just recently won an Oscar for their work on Life Of Pi, will have a team of fifty of their employees heading down to Montreal to work on Bryan Singer’s highly-anticipated  “inbetwequel”. If this ends up working out for the company, they may also end up opening an office in Montreal.

Bryan Singer has just tweeted an image which features a collage of the cast members of the highly-anticipated X-Men: Days Of Future Past. Included among these pictures are the recently added Peter Dinklage and Omar Sy (who have their roles covered up) as well as three new additions to the cast. Among these three new additions is actor Daniel Cudmore who will be reprising the role of Colossus in the film.

L-R: Hugh Jackman (Wolverine), Jennifer Lawrence (Mystique), James McAvoy (Charles Xavier), Michael Fassbender (Erik Lensherr), Patrick Stewart (Professor X), Ian McKellen (Magneto), Nicholas Hoult (Beast), Peter Dinklage (Unknown Villain), Halle Berry (Storm), Ellen Page (Shadowcat), Shawn Ashmore (Bobby Drake), Omar Sy (Unknown role), Anna Paquin (Rogue), Fan Bing Bing (Blink), Booboo Stewart (Unknown role), Daniel Cudmore (Colossus)

Also joining the cast is actress Fan Bingbing as the teleporting mutant Clarice Ferguson, better known as Blink, and actor Booboo Stewart, who may be best known from his appearances in the Twilight series, in a currently unknown role. There’s definitely a chance Stewart could be playing the role of Sunspot, who was originally set to appear in X-Men: First Class, and be the rumored character that Singer would be using the motion capture tech for. We also see some empty gaps on the wall. Who else does Singer have up his sleeve? We’re still hoping that one of them is James Marsden, being that Singer said he was going to “correct a few things”. With production on the film set to begin next month, we should be learning the full cast of the film very soon.

Director Bryan Singer has revealed one of first of those cast additions is Award winning French actor Omar Sy, the 35 year old star of the critically acclaimed The Intouchables.

Now it’s time for the speculation to begin regarding just what role the actor will have in the film. Due to time travel being involved in the plot, could we possibly see the big screen debut of Lucas Bishop?

X-Men: Days Of Future Past is set to hit theaters July 18, 2014.

Bryan Singer has talked recently about his interest in bringing back Halle Berry as Storm in the highly-anticipated X-Men: Days Of Future Past, and it appears that it may happen after all. The actress recently spoke with Shadow And Act and may have revealed that she is in final negotiations to join the cast of the film. While the site doesn’t reveal any direct quotes from the actress, they go on to state:

Halle-Berry-Storm-X-Men-The-Last-Stand

“She did confirm to me that she would be returning in the role. Most likely. Practically 90% sure. And she nodded a lot too.

I can’t say, and neither could she say that it’s definitely a done deal, and that the contracts have all been signed, with all the “i”s dotted and the “t”s crossed.

She told me that are a few details that are still being negotiated which she couldn’t get into. But since she did tell me that the film starts shooting in April, it’s highly unlikely that talks are going to suddenly and horribly fall apart at this point.”

It definitely sounds like the actress is currently finishing up negotiations and may be the next cast addition Bryan Singer tweets about.

There’s definitely two characters in the X-Men universe that fans are massively hoping to see in the highly-anticipated X-Men: Days Of Future Past. Well, in an interview with IGN Movies, director Bryan Singer hinted that we may actually see them return to the big screen. When the director was told that a lot of fans would like to see Scott Summers and Jean Grey return the director replied with:

“Who wouldn’t? Who wouldn’t? [Laughing] That’s all I can say. The good news is that we’re all on the same page!”

Earlier in the interview, Singer emphasised that he has plans to fix some of the not-so-popular decisions that were made in X-Men: The Last Stand. It has also been revealed that the director has a few “younger characters” that he’s currently in the process of casting. Could we see a young Jean and Scott join the team? Or possibly even a return for James Marsden and Famke Janssen? Either way, there’s definitely hope that these beloved characters will be joining the cast of the highly-anticipated next X-film.

Director Bryan Singer has been revealing a little bit here and there about the highly-anticipated X-Men: Days Of Future Past. Today he tweeted an image that features a familiar sight for X-fans. X-Men: Days Of Future Past is set to hit theaters July 17, 2014.

While speaking with Hit Fix doing promotion for Jack The Giant Slayer, director Bryan Singer spoke more about the upcoming X-Men: Days Of Future Past, which begins shooting in April. This time around Singer stated that Days Of Future Past is more of its own thing than an actual sequel.

uncanny-x-men-142-wolverine-storm

“This movie’s gonna be not only quite epic, ‘Days of Future Past,’ but it also takes place in completely different times than the ‘X-Men’ movies have taken place. There’ll be new technology, new things we haven’t seen before in ‘X-Men’ films. Certain characters and certain story and certain drama that hasn’t be done yet, so it’s not so much sequel. It’s more of its own kinda thing.”

One of the biggest problems fans have had with the X-films has been some continuity errors ( there are a few major ones), and some had wondered if they were rebooting the series with X-Men: First Class (which Singer was a producer on). Well, it appears that Singer may be out to fix some of these problems. When asked if the film was a sort-of reset for the franchise, Singer stated with a smile:

“I’ll be able to correct a few things.”

Well, hopefully one of those things is correcting how Scott Summers got the shaft in X3. We’re just saying.

X-Men: Days Of Future Past is set to hit theaters July 18th, 2014.

Yesterday when we reported the news, were you one of the many people who believed that actor Peter Dinklage would be playing fan-favorite Puck in Bryan Singer’s X-Men: Days Of Future Past? Well, you can throw that idea right out the window. Variety has revealed that the Golden Globe winning actor will actually be playing the main antagonist of the film.

“In it is unknown at this time what character Dinklage would be playing but sources have told Variety it would be the main antagonist.”

There’s quite a few characters that Dinklage could be playing. With the Sentinels being used in the film, could we see Dinlkage appear as their creator? Or could be possibly even be that all CG character that Singer was considering? There’s plenty of exciting possibilities regarding who he could be playing in the film. As we get closer to the film starting shooting in April, we should learn more regarding the actor’s role. Keep checking back for more updates.

Bryan Singer is calling X-Men: Days Of Future Past  “the biggest movie he’s ever made” and it seems like every week it’s just getting bigger. Bryan Singer has just revealed that Game Of Thrones actor Peter Dinklage is the latest addition to the massive cast of the highly-anticipated next film in the franchise.

There are no details regarding just what the role is, but there’s one character that many may assume the actor could be playing. Is there a chance we may be seeing the Canadian fan-favorite Puck making a big screen debut? Us here at Geekscape certainly hope so. It seems like Singer still has some big announcements on the way and we can’t wait to see what else he has in store for us.

UPDATE: Well, Dinklage definitely isn’t playing Puck. It’s been revealed that he will play the film’s main antagonist. Let the speculation begin on just which X-villain we will see the actor play.

X-Men: Days Of Future Past is scheduled to hit theaters July 17, 2014.

We’ve been hearing quite about recently from Bryan Singer regarding the highly-anticipated X-Men: Days Of Future Past, and while speaking with Collider the director has given away a few new details regarding the film including confirming when the film begins shooting.

“I start shooting April 15th in Montreal, probably until October.”

“It’s a big movie. It’ll be the biggest movie I’ve ever made.”

1881056-xmen_schism_1_preview1_1_02f

It was recently revealed that the film would be set in the 70’s and Singer goes on to confirm that as well as revealing someone who will be making an appearance in the film.

“Richard Nixon’s in it, that’ll be an interesting casting choice… There’ll also be some more science-fiction-type aspects to the story and, without giving it away, some technology that we haven’t seen yet in the X-Men universe.”

Could they be replacing Senator Kelly (who was the target of an assassination plot in the original story) with Richard Nixon? Quite possibly. And what about this new technology not “seen yet in the X-Men universe”? Could he be referring to the Sentinels or something completely different? Guess we’re going to have to wait until the film hits screens next year.
