After raking in over 2 billion dollars world wide, Star Wars: The Force Awakens will be available on Digital HD and Disney Movies Anywhere on April 1, and comes home to Blu-ray/DVD on April 5. According to StarWars.com, the Blu-ray/DVD set will include  a number of extras including deleted scenes, table read sessions, a behind the scenes look on the design and construction of BB-8, a feature on John Williams, and a slew of other specials highlighting the creatures, fight sequences, and special effects from the film.

Additionally, a number of major retailers will offer exclusive editions, but what will they come with and how much will they go for? Fear not, because we are here to break down all four exclusive editions from Best Buy, Disney Store, Target and Walmart in order to find the best one for you. Let’s get started!

Best Buy

It makes perfect sense that the store which specializes in high-quality television sets offer an exclusive set from one of the most visually stunning films from last year, but their incentives may leave many feeling underwhelmed. Best Buy will be the only place where fans can get the film in an exclusive SteelBook packaging featuring Kylo Ren, Captain Phasma, and the gorgeous shot of the Millenium Falcon and the First Order TIE Fighters flying over the sand dunes of Jakku.

At $29.99, this exclusive is the priciest of the bunch. There are lower priced options from other retailers, but if the SteelBook packaging is to your liking, it is available to preorder here.

Target

Target’s exclusive is the only version of Star Wars: The Force Awakens to contain on-disc content not available from any other retailer. Aside from their exclusive box art featuring Kylo Ren, Rey, BB-8, Finn, Han Solo, and General Organa, the Blu-ray/DVD/Digital set also contains over 20 minutes of bonus content featuring interviews with Daisy Ridley and John Boyega and a feature on the film’s weapons and costumes (take note, cosplayers!). It is also $5 less than Best Buy’s offering.

Target’s exclusive Star Wars: The Force Awakens set is the only collection featuring the bonus interviews and weapon/costume featurette.

This set is currently listed at $24.99 and is available for preorder here.

Walmart

Fans came away loving BB-8, and Walmart’s exclusive clearly has those fans in mind when it comes to the lovable droid.  This particular edition has two great things going for it. At $19.96, the Walmart exclusive is currently the best priced option among all retailers. Secondly, I mean–just look at the box art! BB-8, in all his glory, graces the cover of the Blu-ray/DVD set. There are no other bonuses in terms of lithographs, on-disc content, or SteelBook casing, but at such a low price and everyone’s favorite new droid featured on the cover, Walmart’s exclusive may be the one fans may go after first.forceawakens-bluray-combo-walmart-768x913

The set is currently priced at $19.96 and is available for preorder here.

Disney Store

For those who want more physical bonuses with their Star Wars: The Force Awakens set, the Disney Store offers a great incentive. Those who preorder will get four limited edition lithographs featuring Rey and BB-8, Kylo Ren, Han Solo and Chewbacca, and the gorgeous Apocalypse Now-inspired First Order TIE Fighter shot. Not only that, but the Disney Store is throwing in a $10 off coupon on a future purchase of $40 or more.

At $24.99, it is a difficult deal to pass up. Those wanting to preorder can do so here.

I am opting for the Disney Store exclusive, due in part for the lithographs; they are going to look great hanging in my classroom and possibly earn me some geek cred among my students. What set will you be picking up? Sound off in the comments below and check out the lithograph set offered from the Disney Store.

Hope you guys are ready for November, because it’ll be the last month this year for Amiibogeddon.

Not only that, but November will also mark the return of store exclusives. Starting November 1st, you can get your hands on the special Super Smash Bros Mii Fighter 3 Pack Exclusively at Toys R Us. After that, Get ready to head back to TRU on the 8th to snag yourself a limited edition Villager Amiibo reprint. Not only that, but the popular toy retailer is also hinting that the Mega Yarn Yoshi Amiibo will also be a store exclusive come the 15th.

Last, but not least, Best Buy didn’t want to feel left out of all the fun. That’s why on November 20th, you can march right into your local Best Buy retailer for their Super Smash Bros Falco Amiibo.

If exclusive Amiibos just aren’t your thing though, starting November 13th, you can simply walk into any retailer and nab yourself a Mewtwo Amiibo for yourself. Are you excited for this final wave of Amiibo?

With the music game revival only a few months away, are you anxious to get your hands on the upcoming Guitar Hero Live? Well, if you’re near a Best Buy, you just might be in luck!

Activision announced that they have partnered with Best Buy to bring their newest rock and roll experience to over 120 stores for two days only! On Friday, July 24th from 3-8 PM, and Saturday, July 25th, from 10 AM to 5 PM, you and your friends can head on over and rock with this re-imagined guitar playing experience.

We got to play GH Live at E3 and were impressed with the strides it was taking to differentiate itself from past games, so trust me when I say you’ll definitely want to see all of these changes in action. The main game is set to release on October 20th in both a single guitar bundle for $100, or a two guitar set for $150. Unlike the upcoming Rock Band 4, past instruments WILL NOT be backwards compatible, so you’re going to have to commit to some new accessories, which is understandable since Live is meant to be a brand new experience.

You can find the full list of participating locations here. Can we expect to see you headbanging at Best Buy this weekend?

If you were away from social media last night, (and honesly, you’re probably better off for it,) then you likely missed it when Best Buy’s $200 gift card was mistakenly sold for $15. Whether or not the chain will actually honor these orders is yet to be seen, but the Internet’s reaction to the fiasco didn’t disappoint.

While some poked fun at the absurdity of the concept, others teased it as a way to sabotage Amazon’s upcoming Prime event. Others figured they would skip the online robbery and go straight for the real thing! Employees on the other hand, just said screw it and are planing on calling out tomorrow. Briefly: Following the news that the Shulk Amiibo would be exclusive to GameStop, a corporate note from Best Buy (which appears to have been taken down) has revealed a second Amiibo that you won’t find anywhere else: Meta Knight.

It’s unknown just how long these figures are set to remain exclusive (or available for that matter), but as both the Meta Knight and Shulk Amiibos are set to launch in the third wave of figures this February, you’ll probably want to get your hands on them fairly quickly.

The first wave of Amiibos is set to launch alongside Super Smash Bros. for Wii U this Friday. How many are you planning to pick up?

Want to try out the latest Smash Bros. title, but can’t get to Los Angeles, won’t be allowed into the convention center or don’t care for being trapped in giant buildings for hours on end? Don’t worry, Nintendo and Best Buy have your back.

Today, June 11th from 4PM-9PM and Saturday, June 14 from Noon-5PM, select stores will have the complete E3 demo on display for the public to play! Promising a variety of sales, promotions and bonuses, a commemorative coin just might be the greatest one yet. The only catch? These only go to the first 70 people at each location that pre-order the game on site, so you better get there early if you want your shot at taking one home.

A complete list of stores can be found at this link. Find your nearest store and join in on the festivities, and make sure to check back with Geekscape while you wait for your turn to play! We’ll be updating the site with our hands on impressions, the latest trailers and breaking news as it breaks!

Four items will be given out over the course of the summer, and once they’re gone, they’re really gone!

Below are the dates that each item will be given. Just take your 3DS to your local Best Buy and connect to the Nintendo Zone with SpotPass to claim your prize!
