Well, it appears there is more than meets the eye when it comes to The Wolverine. James Mangold’s film is said to be a standalone film taking Logan to Japan and including some well known characters in the X-universe, but this film just may not be as standalone as they’re saying it is. The Geek Files has come across an interesting set photo that seems to reveal that The Jean Grey School For Higher Learning will be featured at some point in the film.

Now, this could just could be a cool little easter egg for the fans of course. But it could also be something even bigger. Maybe Fox plans on connecting this movie into their next X-film X-Men: Days Of Future Past via a post credit scene? It’s a definite possibility that we’re probably going to have to wait until next summer to find out about. Well, that is unless someone leaks it online of course. Could this also possibly have some form of tie with the supposed New Mutants film that Fox is said to be working on? Oh, the many possibilities!

So, remember ‘Wolverine And The X-Men’? That fan-favorite animated series that only made it through one season because it couldn’t find the funding for a second one? Well, ‘1 Million To Save Wolverine And The X-Men’ has updated their Facebook page with some awesome concept art showing what could have been had the series continued.

Deadpool? Cable? Scarlet Witch? Havok? Age Of Apocalypse in animated form?!

Now I just kind of picked my own favorites here but if you check out their Facebook page you can see them all. This includes some colored in versions of the AoA concepts.

Here’s a sneak peak from the next issue of “Wolverine and The X-Men,” which hits shelves next week. If you’re not reading this book, you should be. It’s one of, if not the best X-Men book on stands.

“With tensions between the Avengers and X-Men on the rise, Kid Gladiator takes on the Avengers single-handedly! Meanwhile, with the battle for Hope raging on, the students of the Jean Grey School must decide where their allegiances lie.”
