Cinemax has just released these new photos for their new upcoming series ‘Outcast’.
The series is based on the IMAGE/Skybound comic book by Robert Kirkman, a supernatural drama of the same name. With ‘Fear The Walking Dead’ airing and ‘The Walking Dead’ season premiere coming next month, Robert Kirkman is ready to add a third show to his belt notch. This guy does not stop working!! I currently don’t read the comic but now I’ll have to get the back issues and catch up before it premieres!

OUTCAST, based on the Skybound/Image comic title by Robert Kirkman, creator of “The Walking Dead,” and artist Paul Azaceta, follows Kyle Barnes (Patrick Fugit), a young man who has been plagued by demonic possession all his life. Now, with the help of the Reverend Anderson (Philip Glenister), a preacher with demons of his own, Kyle embarks on a journey to find answers and regain the normal life he lost. But what Kyle discovers could change his fate — and the fate of the world — forever. OUTCAST debuts in the USA on CINEMAX and internationally on FOX in 2016, and is produced by FOX International Studios.

Briefly: Finally, finally, finally, we’ve received our first look at the Cinemax adaptation of Robert Kirkman’s Outcast.

The TV adaptation was in the works before the first issue of the comic even hit store shelves. Not surprising at all, based on the popularity of The Walking Dead, and it certainly doesn’t hurt that Outcast, while a bit slow to get off the ground, has been a fantastic read so far.

Outcast focuses on Kyle Barnes, a man who has been plagued by possession for his entire life, and begins a journey to discover why. Kyle will be portrayed by Gone Girl actor Patrick Fugit. Expanded cast includes Philip Glenister as Reverend Anderson, a hard drinking, hard gambling West Virginian evangelical preacher who believes he’s a soldier in God’s holy war against evil, and Gabriel Bateman as Joshua Austin, a young boy who lives across town who appears to be possessed by a demon and has a mysterious connection to Kyle.

Take a look at the teaser trailer below, and let us know if you’re looking forward to the series. Outcast‘s 10-episode first season hits Cinemax in 2016!

Briefly: Robert Kirkman’s latest ongoing series, Outcast, was headed to television long before its first issue ever debuted, and today Cinemax officially ordered the project to series.

The show’s debut season will contain 10 episodes, with a pilot directed by You’re Next director Adam Wingard.

Briefly: So I’m not a big toy guy. I have no problem throwing dozens of dollars down on comic books each week, and while I can appreciate those that collect toys (and can definitely appreciate the figures themselves), I have a hard time bringing myself to spending a ton of money on something that’s just going to sit on a shelf (as opposed to the pieces of paper that I buy that sit in boxes for years).

With all of the incredible toy announcements this year, however, I feel like that’s about to change. Disney Infinity 2.0 almost got me. Amiibo’s are going to destroy my wallet, and I’m definitely going to throw down for at least a few of the McFarlane Building Sets, but New York Comic-Con saw the announcement of a figure I’ll gladly display with pride.

The Walking Dead‘s Clementine, possibly one of the best video game characters ever, is getting a fantastic figure from McFarlane Toys.

Details are still slim at this point, including pricing and release dates, but Telltale has noted that “Exclusively from Skybound, the Clem figure will be available in both Full Color and in Blood Splattered Color versions and comes with backpack, pistol, and hammer.”

We’ll take one of each, please. Take a look at the first two images of the figure below, and let us know if you’ll be picking one up. For Clementine!

Briefly: AMC just ordered The Walking Dead spinoff series to pilot a few weeks ago, and we now have snippets of information on some of the series’ main characters.

Little is known about the series at this point, but The Walking Dead creator Robert Kirkman will act as executive producer along with Gale Anne Hurd and David Alpert, while Sons of Anarchy writer Dave Erickson will act as showrunner on the new adaptation. The series is thought (though not confirmed) to be a prequel that chronicles the early days of the infection and zombie apocalypse.

Here’s who we’ll be seeing (via TVLine)

SEAN CABRERA | A Latino male in his early 40s, Sean is a good man trying to do right by everyone in his life.

CODY CABRERA | Sean’s whip-smart and rebellious teenage son. Known as the angriest kid in town.

NANCY TOMPKINS | A thirtysomething single mom to two kids, Nancy looks like the girl next door, but there’s an edge to her.

NICK TOMPKINS | Nancy’s screwed up teenage son. He’s too old to stay home, too scared to flee.

ASHLEY TOMPKINS | Nancy’s mostly level-headed teenage daughter. Her ambition is in direct proportion to her older brother’s failures. She loves her mom but it’s time to get out of Dodge.

ANDREA CHAPMAN | A somewhat wilted flower child, fortysomething Andrea — yep, another Andrea! — has retreated to the outskirts of the city to recover after a horrible marriage.

That’s right folks. We all loved Andrea so much the first time around that we’re getting another one.

All jokes aside, are you down for yet another version of The Walking Dead? Or is one series, a comic, and an incredible video game enough? Sound out below, and we’ll be sure to share more spinoff news as we hear it!

Briefly: Robert Kirkman’s latest project hasn’t even hit comic book stores yet, and it’s already getting a TV adaptation.

Not surprising at all, given the ratings of his other show.

Cinemax has partnered with Fox International to develop Outcast, a series based on Kirkman and Azaceta’s upcoming exorcism comic.

Outcast focuses on Kyle Barnes, a man who has been plagued by possession for his entire life, and begins a journey to discover why. Details on the series are scarce at this point, but it does sound interesting as hell. We’ll be sure to fill you in as soon as we learn more!

Are you into another drama based on Kirkman’s work? Or is The Walking Dead enough for you? Sound out below!

If you thought that The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct was a cash-grab, you apparently didn’t know just how bad things could get. Diamond Distributors today announced a partnership with USAoploy and Skybound Entertainment. The trio will mix the worlds of The Walking Dead with both Risk… and Monopoly.

Don’t bother checking your calendar, it’s not April 1st. Check out the info for each game below (straight from the official press release), and let us know what you think of this silly, silly idea.

Risk: The Walking Dead Survival Edition and Monopoly: The Walking Dead Survival Edition are set for release this September.

Despite its post-apocalyptic setting, MONOPOLY: The Walking Dead Survival Edition (Diamond Item Code: APR132229: SRP: 39.99) delivers classic Monopoly wheeling and dealing game play. Players vie for, and then must fortify, the prime real estate and resources that will sustain their lives. wd2-600x463

In RISK: The Walking Dead Survival Edition (Diamond Item Code: APR132230: SRP: $49.99) it’s a fun, new twist on classic Risk game play. USAopoly will debut a brand new map set in the southeast region of the United States where players battle and scavenge for their very lives. Contending for survival at every turn, gamers must not only fend off attacks from the living who compete for precious, limited resources upon which their survival depends , but they also must maintain their self-preservation from the unrelenting hordes of the undead that would feast upon them. A new deck of “Supply Cards” will add strategy, fun and flavor to this classic tabletop game. Gamers can expect a fast-paced game of attrition and survival, where this time—the last man standing wins!

Both games are Diamond exclusive, so hit up your LCS if you want a copy of either one!

Just two days ago, we showed you the uninspired opening cinematic for Activision’s The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct. Today, the game released in North America, and the company has unveiled a launch trailer to excite fans.

Watch the new trailer below, and let us know what you think! Before you buy the game however, note that no reviews for the title have been published yet, which is never a good sign.

If you bought the game anyways, let us know how it is!

The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct is a do-whatever-you-need-to-survive first-person action game that brings the deep, character-driven world of AMC’s Emmy®Award-winning TV series onto console gaming systems and the PC. The game follows the mysterious, crossbow-wielding survivor Daryl Dixon, brought to life by TV series star Norman Reedus, alongside his overbearing brother Merle, voiced by Michael Rooker, on a haunting, unforgiving journey across the Georgia countryside. Players will need to tread carefully on this desperate quest, scrounging for food, water, and ammunition to survive against nightmares both living and undead.

The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct is just a few days away from hitting store shelves. Today, the opening cinematic featured in the title has been released online. The cinematic is a clear homage to the opening credit sequence from the AMC series, but with one obvious difference; this one looks terrible.

I sure hope this game has some personality; from what we’ve seen so far graphically, Survival Instinct is nothing to write home about. Watch the cinematic below, and let us know what you think!

The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct releases this Tuesday, March 19th. If it stinks, and you’re hankering for an awesome undead experience, I’d wholeheartedly recommend Telltale’s adaptation of The Walking Dead, or Ubisoft’s ZombiU.

We’re now just two weeks away from the launch of Activision‘s The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct. The publisher has released a cool behind-the-scenes video featuring Michael Rooker and Norman Reedus, talking about the title and their involvement with it.

Last month an official gameplay trailer was released for the game, and while vastly improved from the early gameplay footage we saw in January, Survival Instinct is still looking rather generic to me.

Only time will tell how this one will turn out. The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct launches on March 26th for Xbox 360, Wii U, PS3, and PC. Watch the new video below, and let us know what you think!

Last month, an unofficial trailer made its rounds, composed of early footage from The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct. The footage was rather underwhelming, and as such, I’m glad it was both early and not official.

Today, Activision released an official trailer for the game, featuring plenty of gameplay, some impressive voicework, and a general idea of just what the game will look like. I’m still not sure that I’m sold on the title, but I’m much more open to giving it a chance after this trailer! Check it out below, and let us know what you think!

Preorder bonuses for the game have also been revealed, and out outlined below!

GameStop Herd Mode Challenge – How many frenzied flesh-eaters can you survive against before joining their ranks? Take on endless waves of walkers, each more dangerous than the last, in the all-new Herd Mode. Each wave of undead held off brings with it a new outbreak of hungry biters and new opportunities to rack up an even higher score.

Amazon Walker Execution Pack– Give yourself an edge (or five) with this ‘unique’ weapon kit. The Amazon Walker Execution Pack adds multiple melee options to your arsenal, including a survival knife, sawtoothed machete, kukri, reinforced hatchet, and advanced machete. With ammo scarce and the undead attracted to loud noises, a sharp, silent blade might just be your most trusted companion.

So what do you think? The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct releases on March 19 for PC, PS3, and Xbox 360, and March 26 for Wii U.
